| Bullet 2 adopted!
Meet Bullet 2! This sweet boy is a 2 year old yellow male Lab. He is a beautiful light yellow, cream color and is a nice size at about 70 pounds. This boy is one gorgeous dog both inside & out. Bullet had a rough start to his life. He found himself at one of the highest kill shelters with a bullet in him, hence he earned his name with us. Yes, somehow this lovely dog had been shot. The good news is that we found him and were able to get him to a great vet for the surgery and wound care he needed to recover with no lasting effects at all. We are always stunned at how a human can do such horrible things to an animal. But Bullet has recovered very well and will be as good as new once his last stitches come out in a week. He will not need any continued care thank goodness. Bullet is your typical happy labby boy! He loves attention and affection from his people and will even crawl into your lab for love it you allow him. He has already found the doggie toys in his foster home and he loves them all. Bullet is good with other dogs and really enjoys his foster labbie sister who he happily plays with often. Bullet would do well with another doggie companion in his new home, or as an only dog as long as his family is not gone really long hours. This sweet boy walks pretty well on leash and will come when you call or whistle. We think he would be a great choice for some off leash hiking as he really likes to stay by his person and comes on command always! Bullet is a medium energy boy who loves to play fetch! He would love a new home where his family will play fetch with him in the yard or a nearby park. He is a young Lab at only age 2, so he will need ample daily exercise to ensure he settles well in the house. He will need a brush up on some of his basic obedience, but he will learn easily as he really wants to please! A doggie obedience class would be great for him. We do not know how Bullet will do with cats, so we prefer not to place him in a home with kitties. If you think you can give Bullet the love he so deserves in his forever home, please be sure to send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Bridger adopted!
Meet Bridger. Bridger is a sweet, loving, 3 year old purebred male Labrador of 58 lbs. He is underweight and should be 65 lbs or more at his ideal weight.
When you look at this sweet boys photos you can see he is still just a little shy. But that is really changing by leaps and bounds in his foster home where he is wiggling and wagging, kissing and cuddling and fetching and retrieving the ball! He is loving life and loving sleeping inside and being part of a real family.
Bridger is a beautiful boy with outstanding temperament and once he is out of his shell and has a bit of weight on, he will be the perfect boy. But he needs a home that will let him come out of his shyness over the next couple of weeks.
Bridger is darling and sweet. He loves to cuddle, seems to love the 10 year old boy he is fostered with, and LOVES to retrieve a tennis ball! He also lots good chew toys like kongs and nylabones and even better, real marrow bones.
Bridger is wonderful with all other dogs and cats. He is currently on the mellow side but as he comes out of his shell more, he will be much more active as he is young and from good lines. Bridger will be a medium energy Lab who will need his long walks, dog park, and lots of ball throwing.
Bridger is crate and leash trained. He is very good in the crate and is quiet through the night.
This boy is a very special. He has a lovely heart and is just so loving. He really deserves only the best home.
Bridger is healthy, up to date on vaccines and neutered.
If you feel this gorgeous tender soul is right for you, please be sure you are already approved to adopt FIRST and then follow up with an email to scartersoo@mac.com

| Coda adopted!
Meet Coda, a darling little black purebred Labrador puppy. Little Coda is 5 month and 3 weeks old. This little girl deserves only the best.
She is very shy and sweet and needs patience and time to become more confident. She is gorgeous with the shiniest black velvet fur and stunningly beautiful face. Coda is still a little bit of a thing and just a baby still.
Coda loves other dogs and will do great with them. She is currently fostered with a younger 12 week old puppy and a 6 year old male lab and is wonderful with both of them. She tends to be food possessive with the other puppy but this is completely normal for puppies to do with each other. She will get past that in no time.
Coda is soft and loving and tender. She is a wonderful dog that has never been in a house. She is coming around slowly but surely and is loving her life in her foster home.
Coda does great in a crate and in the car. But she can be shy getting in and out. She has a lot more confidence when she is with another dog and so we would love to place her with a sweet young playful dog to be best buddies with.
We don't know about cats, but so far the other dogs from the same kennel (we took 9) all are good with cats. And this is a puppy so we feel certain she will do fine with kitties.
Because this gem is shy we prefer to consider children carefully. We will not place her with small children as they are noisy and move around a lot and this is just too much for her to deal with during this period. For now she just needs love, attention, dog park, and gentle patient owners who can dedicate themselves completely to her. We think she is worth it.
Coda is up to date on vaccines and will be spayed and microchipped this week.
If you feel you have a puppy ready home and want to make a lifelong commitment to this sweetie, please be sure you have completed an application and had your homecheck. Then feel free to contact lori@indilabrescue.org

| Tinkerbell adopted!
Meet Tinkerbell, the sweetest, gentlest girl. Tinkerbell is a cute 2 year old purebred female yellow Labrador. She is just 45 lbs but is underweight and should be closer to 55 lbs, which is still a smaller petite size for a lab!
Tinkerbell is a darling girl. She is a beautiful girl with burnt sugar eyes, and a gentle, calm temperment. She is a submissive and calm girl and is currently on the shy side as she is getting used to the outside world after living her life in a kennel. Tinkerbell is great around other dogs both big and small. She is fostered with a chihuahua mix and the two get along very well. She has also spent time with some other labbie friends and even has enjoyed a few trips to the dog park. She enjoys her time with other dogs and in fact the other dogs help her to come out of her shell. Tinkerbell likes her walks and walks perfectly on leash. She never pulls and passes other dogs beautifully. Tinkerbell is a low to medium energy girl who will do well with a couple walks a day. Spending time with other dogs is also great for her, so trips to dog park or dog beach would also be great for this sweet girl. Tinkerbell will do best with a family who will give her time to come out of her shyness but will not baby her. Her forever family will need to understand that it may take Tinkerbell a couple months to become less timid. A family that will take her to new places and help introduce her to a world that she has never experienced and can show her how much fun it can be will be great for her. Tinkerbell is completely housebroken and non-destructive when left alone. We would like to place her in a home with another friendly dog who is well adjusted to the world so she can learn from him/her how many exciting things the world has to offer!
We will not place her with young children as she has had a rough time and is still too shy to be expected to deal with the noise and motion of young children. Children over age 7 will be considered. Tinkerbell is a healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.
If you feel this beautiful girl is right for you, please send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Spice adopted
Meet Spice!!! Spice is a darling 4 1/2 year old purebred female yellow Labrador. She is just 55 lbs and is a medium sized Labby girl. This sweetheart is currently a little underweight and should be closer to 60 lbs. She is a very special girl with the sweetest disposition and the most lovely personality.
Spice is a gorgeous dog. She is a beautiful girl with burnt sugar eyes, nice conformation, and a super soft buttery pale yellow coat. She has a true desire to please her person. She is a submissive and calm girl and is currently on the shy side as she is getting used to the outside world.
Spice loves other dogs and is so happy with them. In fact the other dogs have really helped her to come out of her shell with us. She loves her walks and has learned to walk perfectly on leash. She never pulls and passes other dogs beautifully. Spice is doing well off leash too and continuously looks to her person. It's so wonderful to walk with her on the trails and see her light up and smile at you.
Spice is a medium energy girl who deserves a nice walk or dog park each day. She will do best with patient people who will give her time to come out of her shyness but will not baby her. She is wonderful in the house and so easy to be with. Just a doll baby.
In the house, Spice is a calm girl who loves to lay on the couch - especially with her person. And she loves to play with other dogs.
We would love to put Spice in a home where she will get to see other dogs often if possible as she loves other dogs.
We will not place her with young children as she is still too shy to be expected to deal with the noise and motion of young children. Plus we would like her to get all the attention!! She will be perfection with kids, but at this time in her life we prefer to have her settle in and be the belle of the ball.
Spice is a healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines and spayed.
If you feel this beautiful girl is right for you, and if you have had your homecheck and are approved to adopt, please then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Angel 2 adopted!
Meet Angel 2, the cutest little 4-5 month old puppy around. This little girl is adorable with her dark brown eyes and velvety soft white coat and is just hoping for the best forever home.
Angel was turned into a very high kill shelter by her owner who must have just purchased her from a breeder. It makes no sense to us. But apparently he could not keep a little puppy and maybe there was just no time to find her another home. We'll never know, but we are sure glad she ended up rescued and safely in our hands.
Angel was very frighted when she first arrived at her foster home, but after a lot of TLC, her fabulous puppy personality came out! She is still a little chy but is growing more and more confident each day! It is wonderful to see her trust and be happy.
Angel has an incredibly sweet disposition and loves to be with people. She especially loves being with her foster "sister", a female Soft-Coated Wheaton Terrier.
Angel sleeps soundly through the night and is mastering housebreaking with ease!
She is starting to enjoy toys and is absolutely a dream on the leash.
Angel really needs a family that can provide all the love she missed early on. She will do well with children who are sweet and gentle with her and will do fine even in a large family as she seems to really enjoy lots of company.
She will do extremely well with another friendly canine companion as she loves her Terrier foster sister.
Puppy approved families only please! Remember puppies are a huge commitment and require someone home most of the time. They also require lots and lots of dog park, exercise, training and patience.
Angel is a healthy girl who is spayed, micrcohipped, up to date on vaccines and ready for love.
If you feel this little gal is right for you, please be sure you have already completed an application to adopt and have had your homcheck and then follow up to ridgeclan@gmail.com

| Rachel adopted!
Meet Rachel, a beautiful purebred yellow female Labrador. Rachel is a 1 and a half year old girl and weighs about 65 pounds.
Rachel is a lovely combination of good, playful energy with a very sweet, loving and affectionate disposition. She loves to chase the ball and play tug-o-war and of course she loves to give lots of kisses.
She is still a young Lab at age 1 and a half and loves her daily exercise and play. She is just learning to walk on leash and she is doing a great job. We think she would also enjoy hiking, the dog park or the pool and will be a fun dog beach partner as well.
Rachel comes from a home where the owners never let her in the house. She had never been outside of the yard, on a walk or slept in a house until she came to us. She has acclimated quickly to her loving foster home and her foster parents say that she deserves to live in a forever home where she gets a lot of affection and attention. This sweetheart loves to play, kiss and snuggle and she smiles all the time. Rachel is just a joy. She would do great in a home that has another dog for her to play tug-o-war with or to run around the yard. Or where she can have fun daily trips to dog park to interact with other playful buddies. She will need a nice does of exercise each day as Labrador Retrievers are puppies for 2 full years of their lives.
Rachel is wonderful with other dogs. She is doing great in the foster home with 2 other Labs and Chow Mix and she has been great with other dogs she has met in the neighborhood. We don't know how Rachel will do with cats therefore we will not place her in a home with them at this time. Because Rachel comes from a home where she was left outside all the time, we prefer not to place her in a home where she will be alone all day without another dog to keep company. If her people are around more often than not, she will do fine as an only dog. Rachel is not destructive in the house. Her new family will want to supply lots and lots of toys and chewy toys like nylabones and bully sticks to keep her busy.
This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.
If you feel this sweet girl is right for you, please be sure you are already approved to adopt before emailing her foster mom DFlaherty@image-entertainment.com

| Calee adopted!
Meet Calee, a happy, wiggly, and sweet purebred yellow female Labrador of 3 years old. She is a nice size lab at about 65 pounds and has beautiful burnt sugar eyes!
Calee is a darling yellow girl with a sweet face and equally sweet disposition. She loves everyone and has a nice playful energy about her. She loves affection from people and will sit up right next to you for pets. She gives lots of kisses and enjoys being near you. Like all labs, she will follow you from room to room to be near you.
Calee is good with other dogs and gets along well with her foster sister - an 8 year old female Golden Retriever. She would do well in a home with another doggie companion or as an only dog where she can get all the attention that she so adores.
Calee is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house and at bedtime. She walks pretty well on leash - tugging at times, but corrects well. She also knows how to sit! She is still learning her other commands, but loves her treats, so some additional training with her should be easy. Calee came to us from one of the highest kill shelters in California. Her life was in immediate danger when we found her and she had only just arrived. So it was shear luck we were able to save her life. This is hard to even imagine because of how beautiful and lovely this girl is. We do not know how Calee will do with kitties, so no cats for her at this time.
Calee is completely housebroken. She is still a young girl, so ensuring she gets her daily exercise like any young lab is important. She would enjoy fun things like hikes, walks, dog park and more. Calee is a wiggly girl and when she gets excited can be jumpy, so while she would do good with kids, we would prefer kids over age 7. Calee is a good girl in the house or car and settles nicely. She hops right into the car to enjoy the ride and will just lie down quietly while you drive. This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her.
Calee is a healthy girl who is up to date on shots, and spayed and microchipped. If you think Calee is the right girl for you, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Bailey adopted!
Meet Bailey. Bailey is a 2 year old darling chocolate male Labrador. He is sweet, loving, and wonderful but has had just about the worst luck of any dog.
Bailey came to Indi Lab over a year ago from one of the highest kill shelters in Southern California. He was about a year old, adorable, and just the perfect boy. Needless to say, this gorgeous Labrador got snapped up quick to a new home. Sadly for Bailey, what seemed like a dream come true, came to an end just a year and a half later.
Bailey's adopter owned Bailey for a year here in La where all was well. Then they were married and had a baby and move to San Francisco where they lived in a condo not a house. Bailey went to being an important friend and beloved companion who had a house, yard, exercise, and attention, to a dog that was barely given the time of day spending all day in a condo ignored. His family no longer wanted him and they brought him back to us. We were understandably upset and angry, but we are grateful to have Bailey back where he is safe, loved, exercise, happy and had the chance to find a much better situation. No dog is a disposable part of the family just because someone has a baby. Your dog is your baby too.
Bailey is amazing. He loves all others dog and is just about the most loving dog in the world. He loves to cuddle, hang out, and just be a best bud. He's a higher energy boy who needs his exercise and love to go on jogs or walks with his person.
He is very loving and snuggly. He loves to put his head in your lab or snuggle up with you on the couch if he is invited to do that. Otherwise he is content to lay at your feet. He's a house dog who loves to be near his person.
Bailey is a young lab at just 2-3 years of age. He loves his exercise and dog park time with other dogs. And he is a dog that also loves and thrives on routine. He is a medium energy Lab who settles beautifully in the house and is very calm as long as he has first had his exercise. And he does best with routine meaning he needs his good walk in the morning every single day. Once that is done, he is pretty much your average cuddlebug the rest of the day. If he doesn't get his walk, he is bummed out and might be antsy.
Bailey is housebroken and non destructive. He is a great with other dogs and will do wonderfully as your one and only or with another dog who is friendly and sweet.
He loves dog park and he loves going on trails. He gets along with the other dogs he is fostered with and especially loves his labby foster sister.
We think Bailey will like the water too. If you leave the bathroom door open while you are in the shower, you may find Bailey in the shower with you. :-)
Bailey will do best in a home that will give him the attention he was not getting for so long. He will do well in a home where he is given a good walk or hike every day and where he can sometimes go to dog park or dog beach. He would even be a nice jogging partner if you like to do that. And if you go to work during the day leaving Bailey alone, you must commit to giving him his walk BEFORE work so he is happy and content while you are away.
He will do fine with kids, but we are hesitant to place him in a house where he is ignored due to children having too many activities or a baby taking up time so that he cannot be walked. He deserves to be important and get HIS time every single day.
Bailey is healthy and up to date on vaccines. He is neutered and current on flea control.
If you feel this super cute, love bug is right for you, please be sure you have competed an application and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

They were sad to see her go, but are happy to know we will work to find the best forever home for Lady. Once se met this darling girl and knew we had to help. Lady is truly perfection!! Lady is completely housebroken, knows how to use the doggy door and is having such a good time at her foster home! She is fostered with two other labs, and a smaller dog and a cat and she gets along great with the dogs but is WAY too cat curious to be placed with kitties, so NO kitties for miss Lady Sady!
Lady's best friend has become the 1 year old female lab - the two play together lots and can often be found playing tug of war with their favorite toy. Lady loves to play with other dogs! Lady is also perfect on leash! She walks right with you, never pulling once and she passes other dogs beautifully. There really is no better dog than this sweet girl. Lady would do fine in a home as an only dog, or she would do great with another doggie companion of any age. . | Gertrude adopted!
Meet Gertrude! You're probably thinking "Gertrude is no Lab!". Well that's true, she is not a Lab. But she is a sweet little girl who is looking for a great forever home! Gertrude (or "Gerdie" is a darling purebred female Basset Hound of just 4 years.
Gertrude is just adorable. She has a beautiful sweet face and is close to perfectly bred. She looks just like the "Hush Puppy" dog!
Gertrude is a very calm, happy dog. She loves her walks more than anything and unlike most Bassets and other scent hounds, she is actually pretty good off leash, coming to her foster mom when called. Currently Gerdie does a good 3 miles walk each day with 3 other Labradors on the outdoor trails.
Gerdie loves other dogs and is good with them, but honestly she is more interested in her person. She is fostered with a female 8 year old Lab and two 7 year old male Labs and it took everyone a day or two to settle into a good routine and everyone is getting along fine. Gerdie also is wonderful with at least another 8 other dogs and Labradors that we walk with each day on the trails.
Gerdie is very, very good with the dog savvy cat she is fostered with. She will do great with a friendly kitty who is not afraid of dogs. She is very cute when she kisses the kitty and the kitty kisses her back.
Gerdie is a true snuggler. She loves to lay next to you on the couch and cuddle up. Even better is if you let her sleep in bed with you. In her foster home she has been sleeping in her crate at night, but she doesn't love that and really prefers to be on a dog bed next to you or even in bed next to her person(s).
Gerdie is going great on housebreaking! She has not had an accident in a few days and has started using the doggie door to go in and out following the other dogs. She seems to be about 95% but any dog can still make a potty mistake in their new home.
As we mentioned Gerdie does love her walks. When she is on leash she can pull a bit though as she is so happy to get going. She's a "low-rider" so a 6' lead is maybe nicer for her than a 4' lead. She corrects easily most of the time and will stop her pulling and this is less as she gets going as well. She may do well with a harness if her new owner wants to try one. Her foster mom has no trouble walking her and what is most fun is that Gerdie is SO cute that every person passing has to stop and say hi. Gerdie is a dog you cannot just walk past without smiling. And of course Gerdie loves the attention as well!
Gerdie is a healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She will be spayed early next week and available to meet families soon thereafter.
If you feel this short little doll face is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application and have scheduled or already passed your home inspection. Then feel free to shoot an email to Gerdie's foster mom at donna@indilabrescue.org

| Ellis adopted!
Meet Ellis, a beautiful purebred male Labrador of 2 years. Ellis is on the petite side and currently slightly underweight at just 50 lbs. but will be 65 lbs at ideal weighr. He is a lovely, perfectly tempered Labrador and is really a handsome boy with his jet black shiny coat, burnt sugar eyes, and gorgeous head. He is a real looker but his looks are the least impressive part of this darling boy.
Ellis came to us from a breeder who was reducing numbers in her breeding program. He is a former show dog with all the looks and temperament you would expect from a wonderfully bred Lab. But because he has spent his life in a kennel, he is shy and is learning all the sights and sounds of the outside world. He will need a patient home where he can come out of his shell at his own pace.
Ellis love people and thinks getting rubbed is the best thing in the whole wide world. He will stand patiently for as long as anyone is willing to keep petting him. He loves attention and loves his person.
Ellis is wonderful with other dogs and is a perfect choice for families with cats. He is fostered with several kitties and is a little afraid of them. He surely would never hurt a cat.
Ellis does his best with at least one other friendly canine companion or with someone who is home much of the time. He gets very lonely left all alone, probably because he has lived his life surrounded with other dogs. He will do fine as an only dog provided his person is around most of the time.
In the house, Ellis is as calm as they come. He settles right at your feet and is extremely mellow. But outdoors he can really turn it on and has all the energy of a 2-yr old Lab as you would expect.
Ellis loves to play fetch and will retrieve for as long as you would like to throw. He loves to please his person and wants to make you happy. He is obedient and will train up beautiful with the right owner.
Ellis is calm and well behaved in the car and likes to go on errands with his person. He's the kind of dog that is a true best friend. We can see him hanging out with his person all day and going to work with them too. He's a real buddy.
Ellis is even good getting a bath. He doesn't love it, but if he knows that it is what you want, he will comply making a very sad, very cute face and letting you scrub him clean. He does seem to like the water though and probably would love going swimming as most Labbies do.
Ellis loves to get in front of you and dance sideways or walk backwards. It's the funniest thing ever. It's like he is dancing with you!
This is a sweet, very special boy who will require a patient owner who is firm and loving as he gets used to the sights and sounds of the world around him and becomes more confident of his place in your home.
Ellis is a healthy boy who is up to date on vaccines, wormed, microchipped, and neutered.
If you feel this special boy is right for you, please be sure you have already completed your application and have had your homecheck and then follow up with an email to Ellis's foster mom scartersoo@mac.com

| Ollie Girl adopted!
Meet Ollie Girl! Sweeter than sugar and twice as nice! Ollie Girl is an 8 month old purebred AKC registered puppy. She is a beautiful pale yellow color and has gorgeous burnt sugar eyes.
Ollie came to us from a family who has 4 kids under the age of 10 and two working parents - clearly the WRONG family to own a puppy. Puppies require tons of exercise, training, patience and time. They are babies just like human babies and they require a commitment.
It didn't take long for Ollie's family to realize they had not thought through their decision to buy a purebred Labrador puppy. They realized they couldn't give Ollie what she needed, and kindly placed her with us to find her forever home.
This darling puppy is potty trained and knows sit. She is quickly learning how to walk nicely on leash, and her foster mom thinks she will be very easy to train. She only wants to please and has all the hallmarks of perfect temperament. With a committed Lab-puppy approved home, she will excel.
Now, Ollie is not perfect. She is, after all, still a puppy. She will put anything in her mouth for an experimental chew, although she willingly gives up whatever she has when corrected. She loves to play with other dogs and happily plays all day with her very dominant foster sister. She will need lots of exercise and loving training to be the wonderful adult we know she can be.
Ollie is a wonderful contender for dog park and dog beach. She loves other dogs and actually seems to do pretty well with kitties too.
She will do best in a home ready for a Lab puppy and where she can get a nice puppy obedience class. And her new owners would be happiest if they could take Ollie to dog park every day to play and get tired.
Ollie is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots and is a healthy happy girl. She will come with her AKC papers.
If you feel your home is right for Ollie, please be sure you have completely an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to scartersoo@mac.com

| Moxie adopted!
Meet Moxie, a sweet, little female lab who is a very gentle girl! Moxie is a pretty yellow girl of superior temperament. This 1.5 year old yellow lab is on the smaller side - she is only 55 pounds currently. She has a cute, innocent face & lovely brown eyes! Moxie is currently underweight and needs to gain about 5-10 pounds. She should be about 60-65 pounds at her ideal weight. Moxie does need her daily exercise as she is still a young Lab at only 1.5 years old, but she is the perfect mix of mellow calmness and energetic fun. Moxie is a very loving girl who deserves lots of love and affection in return. She will sit right up next to you just to get attention and nustle her head into your lap for love. In fact, she loves to cuddle up next to you and have her head on your lap or your chest - if you're looking for a gentle, calm girl - you've found her in Moxie!
Moxie came to us from a high kill shelter where she was found as a stray. The shelter was a high kill shelter lacking in space and we rescued her just before she was in danger of euthanasia. Hard to believe a sweet, beautiful, calm girl like this with outstanding temperament could be in danger, but due to overpopulation, this is sadly the case.
Moxie is underweight at 55 lbs, but now that she is in our care, we are feeding her plenty of high quality food and healthy doggie treats so she can gain the 5-10 pounds she should gain to be at a healthy weight. We ask that her new family also be committed to helping her gain the weight she needs. Moxie is a darling girl who will follow you everywhere. She walks fabulously on leash - walking right by your side, never pulling at all! She is a true joy to walk! She also loves to sleep on your bed next to you, or on the couch. She certainly can be trained to sleep on a dog bed or a crate, she just wants to be near you! Moxie also loves to play fetch. She is still learning the art of giving the ball back to you, but her foster mom is teaching her well! She is a young girl who will need her daily exercise, a nice long walk or a game of fetch is perfect for her.
Moxie settles beautifully in the house after her walk. She likes to be close to you and nap at your feet or on the bed & nestled up close. She is truly wonderful with all other dogs. Moxie will do beautifully as an only dog or with another friendly doggie companion. She is currently fostered with a medium energy female lab of 2 years and they get along very well. Moxie is a medium energy girl - requiring her daily exercise, but a couple of moderate walks a day are just fine for her. Moxie is still a young girl, so she may try to put her paws up on the counter or perhaps select your shoe to chew on, so it is important to keep an eye on her and keep all food off counters & give her plenty of wonderful doggie chew toys so she doesn't get into anything. Moxie is learning to take treats gently - and she is also starting to learn some commands of sit and down. Her new family will need to continue her training, but with a gentle hand, Moxie will learn quickly. She does not need a strong owner, she just needs some gentle positive reinforcement to continue to learn. Moxie will do well with children, but we prefer to place her with children over age 6. She does get very excited around her toys and while playing fetch, and can jump up to try to get the toy from you quickly. She is learning to stay and wait to be given the toy, but she will benefit from continued training with this. Moxie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped & ready for her new home!
If you think she is the girl for you, please be sure to complete an application and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

Raven is small at just 53 lbs. and she is a shiny jet black beauty. She has a pretty face and darling expression that suits her perfectly as she really is one of the sweetest little girls around.

Raven gets along great with her foster Labby sister and is a wonderful sharer. She shares treats, space, toys, and even the comfy couch with her foster sister.

| Chuck adopted!
Meet Chuck! Chuck is our newest addition of puppyhood! He is a 4 1/2 month old black male purebred Lab. He is just darling, soft, cuddly and loving just like all puppies.
This darling baby was rescued recently from a home where he was kept in a kennel all the time. So Chuck is just starting to experience the world around him! He is a little shy and timid, but loves other dogs and really enjoys cuddling up next to people for pets and affection. Chuck is pretty mellow for a puppy. Although he loves his playtime & enjoys playing with other young doggie playmates. He is still learning about doggie toys, not yet sure what to make of them. He is a low to medium energy boy who is proving to have really good house manners for a puppy so far. Of course, you do need to make sure your home is puppy proofed so he doesn't get into anything he shouldn't as he becomes more curious. Chuck would love a doggie obedience class with his new family. He is still learning to walk on leash, sometimes getting scared and stopping in his tracks. He would love a family who will be patient with him as he continues to explore the world, and will introduce him to all the fun things he can experience. Chuck has a soft and shiny jet black coat. He received a bath in his foster home, and although the hose wasn't his favorite, he really enjoyed being lathered up with shampoo... it was like getting a doggie massage! We would love to find a home for Chuck with another dog to teach him and to keep him company. He loves to snuggle at night so if he can wiggle into your bed he will keep you warm or will sleep nicely in dog bed or crate in your room.
Chuck loves affection and will snuggle up next to you and sit patiently for lots of pets! If on the bed with you, he will nustle his nose underneath your arm, and cuddle up right next to you - a great snuggle buddy! Chuck would likely do very well with kitties. As a puppy who is timid, he would do great in any home with cats, where he would grow up around them!
Chuck is micro-chipped, fully vaccinated, and neutered.
If you think this boy is the one for you, be sure to complete an application and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Mr. Yellow Pants adopted!
Meet Mr. Yellow Pants! Mr. Yellow Pants, or "Mister" is a beautiful purebred large male Labrador of 3-4 years. He's a darling yellow boy with a sweet face and long legs. He is just adorable in every way. See his video below!!!!
Mr. is 90 lbs of gentle, calm, perfection. He's a big boy, but a gentle giant. He is wonderful with all people and all other dogs.
Mr. Yellow Pants came to us from one of the highest kill animal shelters in all of California. Needless to say, ILRR volunteers rallied, and Mr. Yellow Pants was pulled to safety!
Mr. Yellow Pants is a very easy-going, lower energy boy who loves to fetch, go on nice little walks or just hang out with you. He's the kind of dog that fits in easily and goes with the flow. On days you want to hike, he'll hike. On days you want to curl up and watch a movie, Mister is your man!
Mister is a gentleman and is so very polite. When you call his name, Miiiister… he looks up at you with the sweetest face that wrinkles above his eyebrows, one of his unique features that his foster family cannot get enough of. He will wait for a cue or for you to initiate the snuggling before he turns into the Looove machine, another name he has been tagged with.
Mister is non-destructive in the house, good with all other dogs and though he has not been tested with kitties, we would be quite surprised to see this gentle boy chase a cat. He is just too gentle to do that.
Mister loves other dogs. He would do beautifully with another friendly canine companion. He will also do great at dog park and dog beach. And he passes other dogs nicely on leash with a smile, wiggle and wag. Mister is really just the nicest boy around.
Gentle and calm as he is, he can at times pull on his leash. After all he is a young strapping fella! He responds beautifully to a quick reminder not to pull and he stops.
Mister occasionally may show a slight limp if he really, really over does it on hiking or jogging. We had this checked out thoroughly by one the leading orthopedics in the state, Mister has a very slight bit of arthritis in his back leg, but it is nothing to worry about. He should take glucosamine like every other lab and he will be fine.
Mister is healthy, up to date on vaccines, and neutered.
If you feel this angel is right for you, please be sure you have completed your application to adopt and have had your home check. Then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org to learn more about this doll baby of a Lab.

| Rebel adopted!
Meet Rebel, a happy and adorable purebred chocolate male Labrador! This guy is about 2 years of age, wiggly, darling, and just loves everyone, and all other dogs!
Rebel is really not like his name at all. He is a sweet, friendly boy who is a pleasure to have around. He is a bigger boy at about 100 pounds, which is 100 pounds of pure chocolate joy! He has a beautiful, soft chocolate coat, so he's a pleasure to pet. Rebel was rescued from a local high kill shelter by a wonderful, caring man this summer. He was the most fabulous dog, accompanying his owner wherever they went, long car rides, the yoga studio the man owned, and lots of walks around the neighborhood. Rebel was truly a loved dog! However, his owner sadly had to downsize his life, sell his business and move out of the continental US, so he contacted us to help find Rebel the best new, forever home.
This medium energy sweetheart loves his walks and also likes to play fetch, although he is not obsessive about it. He is great with all other dogs, so is a great dog for dog park. He gets along great with the dogs he is fostered with and even the goats too! Rebel is pretty good around cats. He will definitely enjoy chasing a cat if given the opportunity, so really only dog savvy cats for this boy. But he will never harm a cat. You can see he is wonderful with sheep he is fostered with and probably will be fabulous with horses as well. Rebel is a young boy at age 2, so he does need good daily exercise. A long walk or a trip to dog park or dog beach would be great for this healthy boy! Of course, a game of fetch at the park or in your yard is always welcomed by him! Rebel loves his walks so much, he can be quite the puller. And with his size, he is best walked on a training collar. With a little bit of training, this boy will learn to walk by your side. And Rebel does great on car trips! He will settle right down - laying down enjoying the ride wherever you go!
He has solid temperament and is ripe to become a perfect family canine companion. He loves to please his person, is curious and wants to learn and be a good boy. He loves to cuddle with his person and give lots of kisses! He knows his command of sit, and would really enjoy learning more. He is still learning to take treats gently. Rebel will do fine in a home with another friendly canine companion or as an only dog. He really just enjoys being around his family. Rebel is completely housebroken and non-destructive in the house. But keep in mind, as any young lab, he will need his exercise before you leave him alone for long hours. Rebel settles fabulously in the house and will lie at your feet while you work. He will do fine with children but because he is still young and a big boy, we prefer to place him with children over age 6. He can still be a little mouthy when he gets excited, so again, children over 6 are probably best for this boy.
If you are looking for a fun and friendly young purebred who is so much fun to have around and who is so affectionate, this guy may be for you.
Rebel is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
If you are interested in adding this boy to your family, please send an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Holly Berry adopted!
Meet Holly! Meet Holly Berry our newest addition just in time for the holidays! Holly Berry is a 9 week old dark chocolate Labrador puppy. She looks black in her photos but she is actually a gorgeous deep dark chocolate puppy. She is darling, soft, cuddly and loving just like all puppies are and she is hoping for her very own home for the holidays!
This darling baby was found at just 6 weeks of age by a family and turned into our rescue. Actually she was found with her entire litter in the parking lot of a shopping mall on Black Friday! All sorts of people took the puppies and we can only pray they have decent homes. But Holly was the luckiest of all for she ended up with Lab Rescue meaning she will have the best home of all.
Holly was very young to be separated from her mother as were her litter mates. In foster care, we quickly realized poor Holly had puppy nightmares. She would wake up screaming and all her foster mom could do is rush to hold her and tell her all is safe. It took just over a week but the nightmares are gone and Holly wakes ready to play. It is NEVER ok to buy or adopt a puppy under 8 weeks. And it is illegal in the state of California for good reason.
Holly is a playful pup with lots of happy, healthy energy. She likes to run and play fetch. Her super soft coat has shades of chocolate and black depending on the light. Holly has a cute little white patch on her chest that is shaped like a milk bone. She is guessed to be mostly Labrador, but without AKC papers, she sure could be a slight mix. But she sure looks like a Labrador to us and she acts like one too! She is a California girl that loves water and will make a great off leash hiker never wanting to leave your side.
Holly is still very young and a little much for young children or toddlers. Her foster Mommy is working on her puppy play bites with positive redirection but her arms are proof she might not be a match for children under 8! Puppies bite when they are young, teething and exploring things with their mouth is very normal and their little needle teeth will absolutely break skin.
Her home will need to be puppy proofed. So a "puppy" home check is required. She can get into anything and everything. Once she's old enough, she should go to puppy obedience where she will be the star of the class for she's really smart. Holly loves playing and learning from her Labrador foster brother too. We would love for her to find a home with another dog to teach her and to keep her company. Holly loves to snuggle at night so if she can wiggle into your bed she will keep you warm or will sleep nicely in dog bed below.
Holly's very favorite most appropriate home will have at least one person home during the day to keep her company for the first couple of months.
Holly is micro-chipped, had her 1st set of puppy shots, and is de-wormed. She is ready to find her forever home.
If Holly Berry sounds like a match for you, email her foster mom lori@indilabrescue.org. Those with applications already submitted and puppy homecheck approved will have priority. What are you waiting for?

| Sage adopted!
Are you ready for a 100% labby girl? If you are, then meet Sage! This girl is a 1 year old Purebred AKC registered English Yellow Lab and is so unbelievably CUTE! She will come with her AKC papers on adoption.
She’s an adorable butterball with the short little tank body and adorable face and no dew claws! She’s a busy, silly, happy girl, and she takes that happiness everywhere she goes and gives it to everyone who glances her way! WAG WAG WAG!
Sage came into a tough, high-kill shelter when her owners decided they no longer had the time to take care of a young, active Lab. We couldn’t bear the thought of anything happening to her, because she’s just a perfect teddy bear of a lab. So we promptly rescued her so we could help find her a new forever home.
Sage loves loves to play with her toys - all dog toys, any dog toys, as a true Lab puppy, she loves them all! She also loves water and loves playing in the sprinkler and running through the water hose - she is so entertaining! She even loves a bath and would probably love the beach and swimming too! Like all labs, she loves her treats so much she's anxious to eat them before they are out of your hand, so she is learning to take treats "gently." Sage already has some training at her young age! She knows sit & down. She is learning the come command and stay, but as a young labbie girl, she would love to go to a doggie obedience class with you and continue her learning! She is crate trained and settles well in her crate. She does not jump onto any furniture, what a good girl. Sage loves her walks & LOVES to play with other dogs. She is great with all dogs she meets both big and small. She is just so excited to play with every dog, she will greet them excitedly and lick their face as an invitation to play! Sage can pull on leash if you let her, but she corrects well, so she can definitely learn to walk with you with just a little more work. Sage is still a lab puppy, so you must have a puppy proofed home & yard to adopt this girl. And as many lab pups, she may decide to chew the wrong thing in your home (such as your shoe) and will need redirection to her own toys. Sage is completely housebroken. She also does great in the car - just laying down or sitting in the back while you drive! She doesn't know much about the car and all the fun places it can take a dog, so she doesn't jump in on her own yet. And she is a puppy, so I wouldn't leave her in your car while you run into a store as she may find something to keep her busy while you are gone.... and could munch on the wrong thing. Sage is a medium energy girl - but she is still a puppy (as Labs are puppies until age 2), so she does need plenty of exercise, but will settle well in the house after her exercise. She would love to be your jogging partner, hikes, dog beach, and dog park would be fantastic for this girl! Keep in mind Lab puppies need 2 hours of exercise a day at minimum. She is still a mouthy and jumpy girl, learning her manners, so we think she would do best with kids over age 5. Sage would love to be in a home with another playful doggie companion as she just loves to play with other dogs. Sage would do okay as your one and only, but only if you are not gone long hours at work. As most young labs, she needs attention and activities to do throughout the day. Sage does not do that well with kitties - enjoying chasing them, so we will be placing her in a home without cats. Sage is spayed, up to date on all shots, and microchipped - she is now just looking for her forever home!
If you think this young, happy boy is for you, please be sure to complete an application and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Axel 2 adopted!
Meet Axel 2, a darling LITTLE purebred male Labrador of just about 2-3 years. This playful adorable Lab is sweet, easy going, a just a pleasure to have in foster.
Axel is a small purebred at only about 50 lbs. He has a beautiful blocky head and a darling shape. His coat is jet black and he is so gorgeous it is very hard to capture in photos.
Axel is a playful boy who loves his toys and love to play. At the same time he settles down nicely after his exercise. He likes the dog beds and likes to lay near where you are.
Axel is very good with all the dogs he has met including three Labradors in his foster home and several other neighbor dogs. He is also good with that cats in his foster home. He in an excellent choice for families with cats.
Axel loves other dogs and playing with them. Also he is very good on leash. However when he is on leash and sees other dogs, he can get excited as he really wants to meet them. He loves other dogs, and since he has been in foster he has met tons and tons of dogs with his foster mom who has taken him on trail walks where he has met so many dogs. He loves it.
Axel is very calm in the house and car. He also does great in a crate. He seems to know the doggie door as well and is doing great using the doggie door to go in and out to do his potty.
Axel is a fairly submissive boy and he is extremely cuddly as well. His fabulous smaller size allows him to be a lap dog if you want!!! He loves to be pet and snuggled and kissed.
Axel is a great dog to take on errands. He rides nicely in the car and waits for you to return. He is fabulous on car trips with the other dogs as well and lays right down in the back enjoying the ride.
We are not sure how this adorable young purebred ended up in a shelter. We would think someone would be missing him. He clearly has not been abused or neglected and came to us previously neutered. He is nicely breed Lab conforming to the breed standard so we know someone paid quite a bit of money for him. It's a mystery but certainly we are happy he is safe and rescued from the high kill shelter where we found him.
Axel is a great dog who will do best in a home where he will get a nice bit of exercise each day and we think with another dog would be fun for him. He can go with cats and kids over age 4 and he certainly would love a home where he gets to do dog park and dog beach now and again.
His dream home will be willing to work with him on leash manners - an easy trade off for an otherwise perfect and gorgeous calm purebred Labrador of this caliber.
Axel is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, wormed, and up to date on flea medication. If you feel this doll baby is right for you and you have been approved to adopt, please follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Sarafina adopted!
Meet Sarafina, a beautiful, charming, perfect white English Labrador. This pretty female Lab is Bench Bred just like we love and she has a nice blocky head, otter tail, and if made up of nothing more than pure sweetness.
Sarafina is approximately 7 years old. She came to us from a very high kill shelter close to her last day. It is hard to imagine that she ended up there when you consider her looks and temperament. But she did and luckily our volunteer just happened to be there just in time to save her life.
Sarafina is a typical mellow easy going English Lab. She loves to lay at your feet and get belly rubs. Nothing makes her happier. She also loves romping the orchard and acreage her foster mom has along with her foster brother and sister - both friendly English Labs. Together they make a darling trio, playing and romping and skipping about!
Sarafina is just about as sweet as they get. She is perfect with all other dogs and all people. She is a calm and easy girl who is slightly shy at times but always happy and loving.
Sarafina will do best in a home with another friendly dog or where someone is around a lot as she is so loving and had so little attention before, we want her to have lots of attention now.
She will do great with children and great with senior citizen as well. She loves everyone.
She is a medium to lower energy girl with lots of love. She is a true companion.
Sarafina has been spayed, is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. She is very healthy and sound and is good shape.
If you think this perfect Labby girl is right for you, and if you have competed your application to adopt and had your homecheck, then please feel free to contact Sarafina's foster mom at judithcoursonburton@gmail.com

| Papaya adopted!
Meet Papaya! This is one precious little angel. Papaya is an adorable yellow Labrador with the most beautiful blond coat and a great petite size. This 7 month old Lab puppy is about the sweetest little girl around.
She is still pretty small but has some growing to do. we think Papaya will be a medium Labrador and probably will weigh close to 65 lbs at adult size.
It is hard to imagine she found herself in a high kill shelter. And her story is pretty amazing. She was found with another dog and the other dog was aggressive. That dog bit someone and when the dogs got to the shelter, the shelter took down the information incorrectly noting that this little sweet baby did the bite, when it was actually the other dog.
It took the shelter TEN LONG DAYS to realize their mistake. But during that time, this perfect, sweet little puppy was locked away in quarantine in about the worst area of the shelter - an area where no one can see the dogs and where dog are euthanized as soon as their release is up. It was by the grace of the universe that our volunteer found out about Papaya and had this mistake corrected!!! Thank goodness we were able to rescue this little frightened girl!!! Had we not pushed to have the correct record updated in the computer system, this little girl would not be alive today. And the aggressive dog would have been released.
When first rescued she was extremely timid and covered in filth. Whatever happened in her life which is all of only seven months made her extremely cautious of people and ready to run.
After bringing her to her foster home and giving the much needed attention and love she now shows all the fabulous play and personality that a puppy should.
Papaya loves her foster sister, a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and enjoys chasing after her. The girls get along beautifully and Papaya is enjoying finally getting to be a safe, happy little puppy. She is also extremely fond of her toys and chewing bones. Life it turning out to be pretty good!
She gets along well with dogs and the older children she is living wtih and has not met a person she does not like. While still a little timid she is very eager to please and well along the way of mastering simple commands and housebreaking.
Her big brown eyes and velvet ears will melt your heart. This is a wonderful perfect puppy who needs little more than most puppies: training, patience, love, exercise, and a safe home to call her own.
Papaya needs exercise to release that puppy energy and is starting to do really well on a harness leash. She would adore dog park and dog beach, and socializing as much as possible with other friendly safe dogs.
This shy little girl is the nicely pup and deserves only the best home.
Payapya is a perfect sweetie when travelling in the car. She loves to be with her people and is a good girl traveling.
She was just spayed and still recovering but already vacinated and microchipped ready to go to a permanent home that will give her the life she truly deserves.
If you feel this little sweet heart is right for you, and if you have completed your application to adopt, then please feel free to follow up with an email to ridgeclan@gmail.com

| Sweet Annie adopted!
Meet Sweet Annie, a darling 3 year old yellow purebred Labrador.
Sweet Annie is maybe the cutest female Lab in history. She is just darling in every way. And she is goofy, adorable, snuggly, and loving all rolled into one beautiful purebred Labrador.
Our Annie is a very nicely bred stocky bench bred English girl with a fabulous blocky head and otter tail. She has a pretty, silky-soft buttery coat and soulful burnt sugar eyes the breed standard calls for. She is really a gorgeous girl.
Sweet Annie is a medium energy girl who is young and adorable and wiggly. She just loves her walks and is perfect off leash on trails with her foster mom. She is a great walking partner. She loves to walk on trails with her other foster Labby siblings and is just adorable prancing about so happy to be free.
Sweet Annie is wonderful with all dogs big and small. She is also very good with cats and usually ignores the cat she is fostered with though sometimes she kisses her which is really cute.
Sweet Annie seems to like children and would be fine with older kids. She is a bit of a bulldozer at times and could knock toddlers over and at times, when particularly happy, she may jump. She loves her person and will bond quickly with her new owner. She is a total lover.
Annie is housebroken and stays off the furniture. She likes to be right near her person and is wonderful when you are watching TV or reading. She is also great in the car and jumps right in - especially if she thinks she is going for a hike.
Sweet Annie will do best with owners committed to giving her daily outings and lots of love. She will do fine with another dog but really likes all the attention and may attempt at times to move her foster Labby brothers and sister out of the way to be pet first. She loves to snuggle and loves to be close to her person. When invited to snuggle, she will put her head in your lab to fall asleep. She is darling.
Sweet Annie is housebroken and non destructive indoors. We have not hear Sweet Annie bark yet at all! We are sure she can bark, but she sure doesn't seem to want to bark all that much.
Annie loves toys and love to retrieve but needs to work on giving the ball back. She LOVES to play tug-o-war with humans but not so much with the other dogs. She loves to walk but at times she can pull. Her foster mom uses a pinch collar on local walks which is wonderful. On the trails though Annie goes off leash and never leaves your side.
Sweet Annie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and current on flea control. If you think this young sweet girl is right for you, please be sure you have been approved to adopt and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Rocky 2 adopted!
Meet Rocky, a super sweet, adorable, purebred male Labrador of 7 years. This cuddle bear is the sweetest, calmest, and most lovely boy ever. He's your typical happy, wiggly labbie boy and he has stolen all of our hearts.
Rocky is great with other dogs both big and small and good with kitties too. He is a submissive boy who loves other dogs. And he is a great choice for families with cats.
Rocky loves his walks and does fine with a moderate walk or two each day. He is a medium to low energy level dog who doesn't need a ton of exercise but is a fun boy who enjoys a game of fetch. So he's the perfect mix of energy, playfulness, and mellow calmness.
Rocky is pretty good on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. He can tend to pull on the leash in the beginning of his walk but does great after just a little bit. And if you aren't up for ANY pulling, he does beautifully on a pinch collar with no pulling at all. This easy going boy is just a joy. His calm nature and happy personality make him a wonderful boy to have around.
Rocky came to us from a very high kill shelter where he was in danger. When we met Rocky, we knew he was coming home with us. With a happy, wiggly temperament and just wanting to lay his head in your lap for pets - how could we say no! After a vet visit and a clean bill of health, this doll baby went into his foster home where he has been doing beautifully with his foster brother - a male chihuahua mix! So you can see this guy is great with little dogs too! Rocky is completely housebroken and non-destructive when left alone. He will do fine with children though any Lab can knock a toddler over without meaning to, so kids age 5 and over are best. He enjoys lounging around the house on his dog bed or chewing on a nice dog bone.
Rocky is a perfect companion. He'll lay at your feet while you read, hand out with you to watch a movie, or go on a hike with you when you feel like doing the great outdoors. He'll even ride with you to do your errands if the weather is not too hot for a pup in the car. This guy just goes with the flow. Rocky would do fine as your one and only dog, or would do good with kittes, and/or other dogs. He does not mind being left alone, but also enjoys the company of other animals, so he's a great choice for almost any family!
If you think Rocky is the boy for you, please be sure to complete an application and send an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Laker adopted!
Meet Laker, an absolutely adorable1 year old yellow male Labrador. Laker has a light yellow/cream colored coat, and is a nice smaller size for a male Lab at about 65 pounds, and at a perfect weight. He has such a soft coat, you could pet him all day long! This beautiful purebred boy has the most friendly, happy disposition and really loves every person and every dog. Laker loves to play with other dogs as most young labbies do. So he would love a home where he could visit dog park and have doggie play dates with other playful dogs.
Laker is learning his basic commands and is a smart boy who loves to please. He knows sit, and we are working on some other commands. As a youngster his new family will want to continue to work with him and teach him. Laker tends to pull on a leash a bit as he loves to get going on his walk more than anything in the world! An easy fix as he continues to go for his walks. He would do just beautifully on a gentle leader.
This cute, healthy, young Labrador will need his daily exercise like any young Lab. He should do a nice walk everyday and would love hikes or trips to the dog park as well. He may also enjoy a jog or run with you. Laker settles beautifully in the house once he has had his exercise. At a year of age, he is really just beginning to be an adult since Labs are puppies for 2 full years - so he cannot be expected to settle nicely without his exercise first!
Laker is completely housebroken! He is a playful boy who gets along well with every dog, small or big, but really wants to play with other dogs more than anything! He loves to play - and can even be seen playing with fellow labbies! We think Laker would do fine with kids, but like any young Labby he can knock a toddler down when he plays, so we prefer to place him in a home with kids over age 6. Laker will do great as an only dog, or with a friendly and playful doggie companion for company. He can definitely entertain himself with his dog bones & dog toys which he loves. We do not know how Laker will do with kitties, so we prefer not to place him with them at this time. This is a very happy Lab adolescent. He has all the makings of growing into a fabulous adult dog! He loves to give kisses to his people & you will sometimes find him trying to crawl into your lap as he just loves his person! Oh, and he is a great car rider too! Just sits down and enjoys the ride. Laker is healthy, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.
If you feel this happy youngster is right for you, please be sure you have been homechecked and approved and then follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Hurricane adopted!
LOOK at that head!!! Meet Hurricane, a show quality perfect Lab! They seldom come a gorgeous as this dog. This is what a perfectly bred Lab looks like!
Hurricane is an extremely handsome, very well bred AKC registered Labrador. He is an English bench bred Lab (bred for show) and is 5 years old. Hurrican is a breed standard perfect 80 lbs and is short and stocky with a beautiful bock head. He has no dew claws. He is gorgeous, but his looks are the least fabulous thing about this boy.
Hurricane is a gentle sweet soul. Used as a stud dog for his entire life, this guy really did not have anything close to what a family Lab deserves. He was used to make puppies and nothing else. We know Hurricane was never abused, but we also know he didn't have the life we want our Labbies to have.
Hurricane is a wonderful boy with perfect temperament. He is submissive, calm and gentle and has all the qualities we love in our breed. His only flaw which is not his fault, is that no one really taught him much. To that end, his foster mom has been working with Hurricane to learn to walk nicely and easily on leash, wait at the door to go for walks, sit, stay, and just be a nice house dog. Hurricane is a quick learning, only wanting to please, and he is doing great!!! He is complete housebroken, walking beautiful on lead, and just being a wonderful house dog who loves being part of his current foster family.
Hurricane is great with other dogs. He is currently fostered with a nice male black Lab named Barney who is 8 years old and a darling yellow Senior Lab named Jake who is another Indi Lab foster dog who will be available for adoption soon. Hurricane likes them both and gets along with everyone.
Hurricane is a medium energy Labrador who settles at times into a couch potato. He loves his walks and though once a puller, he is walking much better these days. He will do a nice walk and he really settles beautifully the rest of the day. He rides wonderfully in the car and will stay in back settled down the entire trip. He loves to lay by your feet and loves to get kisses and lots of attention.
We do not know how Hurricane will do with kitties so we are not interested in having him meet families with cats at this time.
Hurricane will do best with another friendly canine companion. He loves the company of other friendly dogs. He doesn't need to be playful, but really just likes having a friend.
He would love a home where he will live his life mainly indoors and with lots of attention.
Hurricane has never lived with children. That said we think he would do great with respectful, gentle children who do not overwhelm. Visiting Granchildren would be lovely. Living full time with super active kids who's friends come over all the time, will be too much for this guy. He's just not used to tons of racket and yelling and kids running around every day. Sweet, quieter children may work great.
Hurricane is a healthy, show quality Labrador. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped If you feel this doll baby is right for your family, and you have completed your application to adopt, please contact Donna@indilabrescue.org

| Lucy 2 adopted!
Meet Lucy the little love bug!! This little bundle of cuteness and energy is a darling playful 10 month old yellow Lab puppy, She's a smaller girl of only about 40 lbs but will still grow just a little bit.
Lucy is a petite Labby girl who was found as a stray on the street. A team of volunteers rallied around Lucy and she is now settled in a foster home in Santa Barbara.
Little Lucy was found with a chain tightly wound around her neck so she was probably tied out, which is illegal in California. Fortunately the wounds are healing. It’s time for sweet Lucy to be pampered, loved, and treasured!
Until she reaches a healthy weight, Lucy is enjoying 3 spaced out puppy meals per day of the highest-quality, grain free food and a nutrition supplement of Platinum Performance. She is a good eater and loves her food.
She is working on learning her household manners and really wants please her foster Mom and Dad. Lucy is a high energy girl like all pups and will require a dedicated home that will provide the exercise and training that she requires. Lucy loves to play with her foster sister, a 3 year old female Lab. She is enjoying all the wonders that she should have had as a puppy, including playing with plush toys, socializing with neighborhood dogs, playing with dogs at the dog park, and going on walks with her Lab foster sister.
Lucy is wonderful with all people and all dogs. We do not know how Lucy would do with cats so we will not place her with them at this time.
She is recovering from her spay surgery so we have not seen her full potential, but we can tell she is an athlete who will make a great hiking or running partner once she fills out and finishes growing. Lucy rides well in the car and is a lady in the house. She has quickly learned her potty routine with positive praise when she goes in the yard.
Lucy will do wonderfully in a home where she can go to dog park regularly and where she will get lots of daily exercise. Lab puppies are active little buggers and remain so for the first 2 years of life. Lucy does great settling down after she has had exercise. She will love a playful friendly companion close to her age or will do fine as an only do provided her owners give her the exercise all puppies need.
She will do nicely with children over age 4 or 5 as she can be quite the wiggler knocking toddlers down.
Lucy has beautiful amber eyes with dark eye liner. When she gazes into your eyes you know how much she appreciates being treasured.
Lucy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations, and is ready for her forever home.
If you feel this girl is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application and then follow up with an email to meb0115@cox.net

| JoJo's Puppies! adopted
Meet JoJo's puppies. JoJo has gone to her forever home now and now her puppies (8 weeks old in a couple days) are ready for their forever homes too.
Mama Jojo delivered 6 healthy and happy babies: 4 females and 2 males - all pale yellow except for one jet black little girl. We cannot say for sure that the puppies are purebred Labs as we never met dad, but they certainly appear to be so. Ears are lop and low and there is not brindling or other strange color combinations. And there are no other colors in this litter but black and yellow - a good indication the litter is a purebred one. Our black female has a little white but that is certainly not outside the scope of the breed standard for purebred Labbies. If you are seeking an AKC Lab, look elsewhere, but certainly if you are open to possible purebreds, these may be your guys!
Many of our families and fans have been watching the babies nurse and grow on our puppy cam on our facebook page. Foster mommy Lori has had her hands full the last 7 weeks with this little family and they are so dear to her heart!!!
Puppies are a huge lifetime commitment. These are babies meaning they will have their first shots at their adoption but they certainly cannot leave your house to go anywhere at all until their final vaccines 6 weeks later. This means being willing to entertain puppy at home for a good 6 weeks after adoption - easy to do at first, but in just 4 more weeks, these guys will be larger and more active and so it will be a little harder to quarantine them but it must be done to prevent the possibility of Parvo or Distemper.
Puppies need someone home during the day because they need to eat and have lots of attention and they must be safely babysat until they are older. Puppies can be crated but it is only humane to do so for one hour for each month of life so 2 hours of crating is the maximum a puppy this age could or should endure - perfectly fine if you need to run to the store. Obviously puppies can and should be crated overnight in your bedroom, but they will naturally wake you every few hours to get up and go potty. Owning a puppy is much like having an infant in the house - lots of waking up and cleaning up of messes!
Puppies are expensive too! They will need more vaccinations and they will need to be spayed and neutered. Be sure you are in a position to afford a puppy. They tend to get into things as well so be sure you have a safe puppy proofed environment and can afford a new wire crate and lots of high end safe rubber toys like Kongs. You will also need to have an enzyme like Natures Miracle available to clean up potty messes, and you should be well versed or at least patient enough to be informed about housebreaking because that will be the first thing puppy learns.
Households with toddlers and babies already have to much to do without adding another baby to the mix. Puppies do best and adoptions are most successful with families without children or with much, much older tween or teen children. In a mere 3 months these puppies will require at least 2 FULL HOURS of exercise a day to avoid getting into trouble and most families with children do not have that kind of time. Additionally Labs, who remain puppies for 2 full years, are VERY mouthy. Most kids will get puncture wounds along the way and may claim they were bit. That is simply not true. It is part of owning a lab puppy. Owning a Lab puppy means punctured skin all the time, every day, for a year minimum. This is why Lab puppies are not appropriate for children.
If you feel you are ready to make the puppy commitment and you have a home, the finances, no little children, and have completed your application to adopt, please then email the puppy's foster mom Lori at Lori@indilabrescue.org

| Beckham adopted!
Talk about a catch! This boy is just a prince and we are so proud to have him for adoption.
Meet handsome Beckham! Beckham is a very well bred, beautiful male Labrador. He is an English or Bench Bred Labrador and has a gorgeous blocky head and nice shorter stockier stature.
Beckham is about 4 years old and weights about 70 lbs - the perfect weight for a male English Labby!
He is a gorgeous yellow color and he has a wiggle that will steal your heart in seconds.
This stunning purebred came to us from one of the highest kill horrific animal shelters in all of California. And he came to us on the day of his euthanasia. Boy are we lucky we got this amazing purebred Labrador out in time!
Beckham is amazing. He is wonderful with all other dogs. Just loves their company and loves to play. He is a great dog for dog park or dog beach because of how great he gets along with other dogs. He loves the labbie sister he is fostered with and is really enjoying his foster home.
We think Beckham would do great with children but we won't place him with kids under age 6 as toddlers have a knack for getting knocked down and Beckham is a wiggler.
Beckham is wonderful with all people. He loves attention and will let you clean his ears or give him a bath with no problem at all.
Beckham is playful but he is also very mellow in the house and car. He settles beautifully after he has had some exercise and really is a medium energy young Lab. He is not jumpy at all, which is a pleasure for a lab!
Beckham will be a great doggie companion or as your one and only. He will do great in most homes honestly because he is really a pretty easy and typical Labrador. We do not know how Beckham will do with kitties so we will not place him with them at this time.
Beckham is a healthy beauty who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel this amazing prince of a lab is the one for you, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Jack 3 adopted!
Meet Jack 3! Oh this guy is a real find! He is a happy, sweet, gorgeous light yellow (white) purebred Labbie boy of 4 years old.
He is an adorable boy with a goofy look on his big old head that makes you not be able to stop hugging him. His sweetness and his dopiness combined is just too hard to resist for any of us.
This boy is about 100 pounds with a gorgeous face & droopy jowels. He is a little overweight, so losing 5-10 pounds for this boy would be great! He is just a big gentle boy. Just lovely. Mild mannered, calm, but with just the right amount of playfulness. He is pure perfection perfect for other doggie and children alike.. Jack came to us from a home with another doggie companion. The family could no longer give them the exercise and attention they deserved, so we happily agreed to take this boy in! He is a big, goofy, lovable boy who has a lovely temperament - the kind of Lab you adore!! And exactly the kind of Labrador we love to save. He is a real prize. Jack is a mostly mellow boy on the calmer side who loves to hang out with other dogs. He is great around other dogs both big and small, and hereally loves other dogs. For this reason, we would really like to find him a home with another doggie big or small. He is fostered with two other labs and they all get along great! He really adores other dogs and has a nice degree of playfulness too. Jack loves to play fetch, especially with his favorite rope toy, although with his mellow nature, he tires out after a few throws. Jack also loves the water - so would likely adore dog beach, or a pool! Jack is a pretty mellow guy. He can have medium energy though and loves his walks! He is pretty good on the leash, however he does pull at times so he is best walked with a pinch collar at least for a bit. He will pass other dogs beautifully saying hello like a typical wiggly Labrador. He loves his walks, dog park and really just going anywhere. He settles beautifully in the house after his exercise! He enjoys his chew toys and other toys on occasion keeping himself entertained or sharing with his doggie friend. Even though this guy is big boy at 100 pounds, we believe he would do great with kids of all ages including toddlers due to his gentleness. Although keep in mind that any big dog could knock a toddler down. Jack is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you think this beautiful boy is the dog for you, please be sure to complete an application and send an email to IndiLabgirl@gmail.com

| Bobbie adopted!
Meet Bobbie, THE cutest, most petite male Labrador! This smaller 45 lbs purebred is just darling in every way.
Bobbie is a small, 2-3 year old purebred neutered boy. He is absolutely wonderful with all other dogs big and small and of course, like most Labbies, loves his people.
Bobbie is a medium energy boy who needs his walkies and will just love going to dog park to engage in play with other friendly dogs. He is a great dog for dog park, dog beach, etc. because he really is just so wonderful with other dogs.
Bobbie settles nicely indoors after exercise and will do beautifully with another friendly canine companion who also like to play. He has a nice playful side to him, but he is also a great calm companion as well.
Bobbie will do nicely with children over age 5. Smaller kids may be knocked over. Bobbie still may jump up when he is particularly happy and this could knock a toddler down.
Bobbie is pretty good on leash and passed all other dogs in a friendly manner, greeting them with a Labby smile.
Bobbie would love a home where his new owners will take him on outings and where he has another friendly dog for a best buddy. He would do fine as an only dog, but he is so wonderful with other dogs and such a buddy, that if you are searching for that second or third dog who will fit right in, this is your boy.
He is submissive and happy all the time. His temperament is just perfect and Bobby promised to always make you smile!
Bobbie is one of our coveted TUAPA dogs from our rescue partner TUAPA in Taiwan. These are the very best Labradors our rescue gets as they have superior temperament and families just adore them.
Bobbie is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He is currently a bit underweight and his new family has the fun job of putting a few pounds on this boy with good healthy high quality food.
Bobbie is ready for his forever home. Will you be the lucky one to have Bobbie for a best friend for life?
If you think Bobbie is the one for you, please be sure you have been approved to adopt. Then contact Bobbie's foster mom at indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Patch 2 adopted!
Meet Patch, a wonderfully kind, gentle, pure bred AKC female English Lab. This beauty queen is so lovely and perfect we can hardly believe she has not had the life she truly deserves.
Patch is a block headed, very well bred, English 6 1/2 year old female who has been bred back-to-back, non-stop, her entire life. And thanks to Indi Lab Rescue she will never be bred again.
Patch has not had an easy life, her entire existence consisted of being bred over and over. Her owner bred Patch and her mate Hurricane (soon to be available for adoption) for money. As the economy tanked, the man lost his home, and Patch and her brother came to us. That was the luckiest day of both of their lives as now they can finally be treasured family members.
This ultra gentle sweet heart is thoroughly enjoying her time with her foster family who adore her. She is full of love and enjoys lounging around with any member of her foster family. She is a very easy-going, lower energy girl. She will enjoy nice little walks or just hanging out with you. She's a true companion dog.
Patch is completely house broken and non-destructive in the house. In fact she is pure joy in the house!!! You cannot help but kiss her darling sad-looking face over and over again and she just adores all the attention.
Patch shows lots of love and affection to children in her foster home and especially to her foster sister, a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. The dogs get along beautifully. Patch is very good with all other dogs and though she has not been tested with kitties, we would be quite surprised to see this gentle lamb chase a cat. She is just too docile and sweet.
Her ideal forever home would be one that would provide the attention and love she has missed - we would love seeing her where she has someone around much of the time or where she will be spoiled rotten like she deserves. Though she is perfect with children, we think after her life, she deserves to no be asked to put up with obnoxious toddlers and kids who can be rough and loud. And she deserves to be the center of attention.
Patch is 6 years old going on 7 years and is showing touches of adorable premature gray on her toes which we LOVE!!!. She is just beyond perfect in every way.
Patch is overweight by quite a bit. She's really just be bred and bred and not walked or cared about. Luckily she is very healthy and with lots of nice shorter walks and a healthy diet of high quality food, Patch will slim down in short order. As she slims down and gets in shape she will enjoy even longer walks with her family.
Patch is healthy, up to date on vaccines, and spayed. She is located at a foster home in Anaheim Hills.
If you feel this angel is right for you, please be sure you have completed your application to adopt and have had your home check. Then please contact foster mom Kristen at ridgeclan@gmail.com

| Addy adopted!
Meet Addy, a happy, wiggly, and sweet purebred yellow female Labrador of just about 4 years, and about 70 pounds.
Addy is a darling pale yellow purebred with a sweet face and equally sweet disposition. She loves everyone and has a nice playful energy about her as she picks up and plays with her toys and brings them to you. She is a lovely girl that is a joy to have in your family!
Addy is great with other dogs both big and small. She is fostered with another female lab and the two get along great. Addy came to us from a home where she was with another doggie companion. Her previous family no longer had the time to devote to her and her companion, so they decided to find new homes for them. Addy really enjoys being around other dogs, and is used to being with another dog all the time, so for this reason, we would like Addy to go to a home where she will have a doggie companion. Addy loves attention and affection. She loves to be pet and you can actually see her smile when you pet her - how darling she is! She is not pushy about it, and will actually just sit down in front of you and give you her sweet puppy dog eyes to ask for her attention. Addy has a perfect temperment. She is playful and enjoys her exercise, but she also settles fabulously in the house! She is completely housebroken and non-destructive when left alone. She loves her dog bed, and will find her way onto the couch or your bed where she is most comfortable snuggled up and warm. Addy knows sit and down, and is doing well at stay as well. She is a smart and obedient girl who really wants to please. Addy is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime. She can pull on leash, so she is best walked with a pinch collar. Over the last couple years at Addy's previous home, she was simply kept in the backyard, so walking on leash is not something she has done a lot of. With a little training, she will learn to walk better on leash very quickly. She adores her walks and gets excited when you get her leash out. Addy might also enjoy hiking with you or maybe even a jog with you. Addy is a typical mouthy Labbie, so although she will do great with kids, we would only be comfortable placing her in a home with kids over age 6. She can also be a little jumpy when she gets excited but is learning very quickly to stay on all four paws. We do not know how Addy will do with kitties, so we will not place her with them at this time. Addy is a good girl in the house or car and settles nicely. She will hop right in the car for car rides, and just sits or lays down to enjoy the ride. She also enjoys her dog bones and soft squeaky toys. Her new family will want to supply lots of toys and dog bones for her enjoyment.
This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her.
Addy is a healthy girl who is up to date on shots, and spayed.
If you think Addy is the girl for you, be sure to complete an application and send an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Champ 2 adopted!
Meet Champ, a stunningly handsome 3 year old purebred AKC yellow male Labrador. He is a beautiful yellow boy of about 80 lbs. with a happy, Labby temperament. We do not think they come more beautiful than this yummy boy.
Champ came to us from a loving family who no longer has the time to devote the love and attention to Champ that he deserves. He is a purebred AKC Lab with papers to prove it! He is a young boy at age 3 so does need his daily exercise of course, but he settles nicely in the house after. Champ is completely housebroken and crate trained as well. He walks nicely on leash with a pinch collar, as he can pull a bit. With some continued walking and training on leash, he will learn to heel in no time! Champ grew up in a home with children so would be a good choice for a family with children over age 5. He is still a wiggly boy, so keep in mind he could knock a kid down. Champ does well with all other dogs - enjoying his trips to dog park to romp and make friends with other doggie friends. He also enjoys a good game of fetch. Champ spent most of his life so far with another Labbie brother, so we would like to place him in a home with another doggie companion... a playful doggie companion would be ideal. Champ will do best in a home where he will get the daily exercise young Labradors need and would love to go to dog park and dog beach and even some nice hikes with his new family. He is a young Lab after all so lots of activities and fun time for this happy boy! Champ really loves his car rides - he hops right in and enjoys the entire ride - even loves to stick his head out the window if you let him!
We don't know how Champ will do with kitties so we prefer not to place him with them.
Champ has had professional training, so he knows his basic commands, but he could use a refresher course. It would also be a great way to bond with him by taking a good training class.
Champ is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you think Champ is the perfect boy for you, be sure to send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| McGyver adopted!
Meet McGyver, the goofiest, most adorable Labrador in the world. What a doll this boy is with his sweet disposition and to die for cuteness!
McGyver is a giant lovable youngster of only a year and he is incredibly handsome. He is jet velvet black with true-to-breed burnt amber eyes and a face you cannot help but fall in love with.
McGyver is very underweight though his foster mom is slowly getting his weight up. He is a mere 62lbs where he should be 100lbs. This is a gentle giant pup - a big boy who is a gentle as a lamb.
McGyver was found in a very high kill shelter. To make matters even worse, McGyver came in with a cut on his leg and instead of putting him into the general population where either his owners would see him or the public could consider him for adoption, he was placed in a part of the shelter where they keep quarantine dogs and dogs who are seriously injured or dangerous. This meant no one could see him which meant he was immediately scheduled for euthanasia. It is impossible for dogs to make it out alive when they are placed in this section so the fact that this boy did, earned him his name! He really IS a McGyver!
This special, gentle boy has all the puppy charms and puppy playfulness you would expect from a Lab his age. His long legs and goofiness make him darling to watch playing. He is like an ackward foal with his legs going everywhere and a sight to behold. This cutie brings out the best in everyone.
McGyver loves chew toys and lots of activity. He is young and active and would make a wonderful jogging and hiking partner. He would love dog park or dog beach and since he is perfect with other dogs, it makes it easy to get him the exercise he needs. He settles beautifully in the house after his play and exercise time and is fully housebroken.
McGyver is learning his basic commands and wants nothing more than to please. He has exactly the temperament we look for when selecting our Labs for the Indi Lab rescue program.
McGyver loves his bath time and adores snuggling with his people. He loves other dogs and gets along beautifully with his foster sister, a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier female.
McGyver would love a home where he will get the exercise a young Lab needs and will do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. Since he is wonderful with other dogs, a trip to dog park each day would do the trick. Or a good long walk and play time in the yard works too. He is a fabulous dog who is still growing into his body and will make the best life-long friend ever.
This healthy boy needs to continue to gain a few lbs, but he is already neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. All that's needed now is your love, attention, and commitment for life!
McGyver is too large and puppyish for toddlers, even though he is very gentle. He will do beautifully with children over age 5. We do not know how McGyver is with cats, wo we will not place him with them at this time.
If you feel McGyver is right for you and you are approved to adopt, please email his foster mom at ridgeclan@gmail.com

| James adopted!
Meet James! Jame is a stunningly beautiful 4 year old male Labrador.
This yellow boy is wonderful in every way. He is a very mellow boy of about 75 lbs and is extremely easy going. If you are looking for a super mellow dog, this boy is it!
James is a lighter yellow color and a medium sized purebred. He has a gorgeous blocky head and a sweet disposition. He loves all people and all other dogs and will do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only.
We do not know how James will do with cats so we will not place him with kitties at this time.
We think James will do fine with children over age 5. He is gentle and good with all people however he is just too big for toddlers so please don't ask if he can meet you if your children are younger than 5.
James is a great buddy and sidekick. He would love to go on road trips with you and will enjoy hikes, dog beach, lots of nice walks, and even dog park from time to time. He's a cruiser and as previously stated, a mellow guy.
James is one of our coveted TUAPA Taiwan dogs. Hard to believe this gorgeous boy was found in a government pound in Taiwan. Thankfully our rescue partner TUAPA was there on our behalf to pull him to safety.
Jame is a very healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel this boy is right for you, please be sure you have already been approved to adopt and then follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Barclay adopted!
Meet Barclay, a stunningly handsome 2 year old purebred chocolate male Labrador. He is a deep dark beautiful chocolate of about 90 lbs with a giant blocky head to die for. We do not think they come more beautiful than this yummy boy. He has no dew claws, so he is for sure a purebred, gorgeous English boy! Barclay has the beautiful dark chocolate color that is so beloved in our chocolate labs. His coat is glossy and very, very dark.
This easy going boy is amazing with other dogs and loves all people. He is a young boy at age 2 so does need his daily exercise of course, but he settles nicely in the house and loves his doggie bed.
Barclay came to us from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter where he was in immediate danger. Of course the moment we looked into those dreamy amber bedroom eyes we knew he was coming home with us! Isn't it amazing the most wonderful dogs end up in our shelters? We are continuously surprised by these most deserving dogs who just need a little help to find homes.
Barclay is a sweet boy who walks nicely on the leash with a pinch collar. He can pull on leash, but is getting better and better each day. Before long he will be perfection. He really loves his walks and enjoys walking with his foster sister.
Barclay gets along beautifully with is foster sisters a 7 year old female Lab and his other foster sister a 3 year old female Lab. They all get along nicely, share toys and the bed, and love each others company.
Barclay is completely housebroken - never even had an accident in the house. He will do best in a home where he will get the daily exercise young Labradors need and would love to go to dog park and dog beach and even some nice hikes with his new family. He is a young Lab after all so lots of activities and fun time for this happy boy!
We think he will do nicely with children, but he is a large wiggler so no toddlers for this guy. We will consider children over the age of 5 on a case by case basis.
Barclay will do beautifully with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. But if you work long hours, it would be nice for Barclay to have a friend to spend days with.
We don't know how Barclay will do with kitties so we prefer not to place him with them.
Barclay knows how to "sit" and takes his treats gently, so we think he will learn his other commands very quickly. He also seems to know other commands and we are working with him.
He is non destructive, and settles beautifully in this house after his exercise. He seems to really like his doggie bed and loves his doggie bones too. Barclay is good in the car too and enjoys going for car rides. Especially if he thinks it's somewhere fun like dog park.
Barclay is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
Please contact IndiLabGirl@gmail.com for more info. You must be homechecked and approved to adopt.

| Camden adopted!
Meet Camden, a darling 2 year old male yellow Lab! This boy is an English or Bench Bred Lab with a blocky head, and a nice stocky English body. He's a smaller size at 60 pounds and has a gorgeous lighter cream colored coat! He has no dew claws, so very likely he is a purebred Labby!
Camden is an active, happy boy, and he takes that happiness everywhere he goes and gives it to everyone who glances his way! WAG WAG WAG! He is a young boy too, so he loves lots of activities like dog park, playing fetch, swimming and more!
Camden came to us from a high-kill shelter in Los Angeles where he was found as a stray. Just so hard to believe someone would give up a boy like this. Camden is a typical lab who will follow you everywhere you go, and loves attention and lots of pets. Camden is still a young boy at 2 years and he is an active young puppy, so he will need a good amount of exercise daily and trips to the dog park or dog beach would be great for him. He does great with all other doggies - and really enjoys playing with other dogs too. He would love to be your jogging partner and if you have a pool, he just loves to swim! He enjoys playing fetch, but is not ball obsessive, so playing fetch in the backyard would also be good exercise for this young boy! Camden will do well with another playful doggie companion or as your one and only, although he will do best in a home where he is not left for long hours, as with many young Labs, they can get bored quickly and get into trouble when left alone for long periods.
Camden is still quite jumpy and mouthy as most young labbies are, so he will do best placed in a home with children over 8. He greets you with the typical lab excitement and often jumps up to say hello. He is learning this is not proper doggie behavior, so he will need to continue this training in his new home. Camden is completely housebroken, and does know sit, down and come commands! He does pull a bit on leash, so he is now learning how to walk next to his person. Until he learns this, he is best walked with a gentle leader or pinch collar. This boy is food motivated as many labbies are, so treat training will be easy with him, but he is also still learning to take treats gently - he just gets so excited to get his reward!
Camden is neutered, up to date on all shots, and microchipped - he is now just looking for his forever home!
If you think this is the boy for you, be sure to submit an application and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Eddie adopted!
Meet Eddie, the cutest, most wiggly, adorable male chocolate Labrador Retriever.
This young 3 year old cutie has the most lovely personality and is a perfect size. He currently is about 60 pounds, but could gain about 5 pounds, so his ideal weight will be about 65 pounds.
Eddie is an adorable boy with a goofy personality. He gets along great with his foster Lab brother - and the two enjoy playing a lot. He would do really well in a home with another playful doggie about his size. He would for sure love trips to dog park and dog beach given how much fun he has with other dogs. Eddie does pretty well on leash, rarely pulling, and is learning to heal in his foster home! In no time, he will be perfect! He loves going for his walks and passes other dogs nicely.
He has great happy, playful energy and does enjoy playing a game of fetch in the backyard too - so retrieving is definitely something he enjoys. Eddie is your typical happy wiggly boy. He knows his commands of sit and lie down and just LOVES to lie down for his favorite belly rubs! He loves people and loves attention. Eddie was found as a stray and turned into the highest kill shelter. A volunteer spotted him and got him out immediately. Thank goodness, because this boy deserves a fabulous new home! Indi finds some of the nicest and most beautiful purebred Labradors and we just never understand how they end up in such horrible situations! Eddie is housebroken and will use the doggie door too, but as any new dog in a new home, he should be watched at first in any new environment. He also pretty good house manners, not jumping up on any furniture.
True to his breed, and just like any Lab, Eddie love his food and will definitely counter surf if something yummy is up there. Though it's almost not worth mentioning since ANY Labrador will countersurf when there is something good they can smell and reach.
Eddie will do great with a playful friendly canine companion or as your one and only. He will do best in a home where his family is not gone for many hours as he really enjoys being with his people. Eddie does enjoy chasing the cat in his foster home, so no kitties for Eddie in his new home. Eddie is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel this boy is for you, please be sure you have completed an application and had your homecheck. Then please follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Lottie adopted!
Meet Lottie, a sweet and truly special Labrador. Lottie is beautiful pale yellow purebred female with an amazing story. She is 10 years young, absolutely wonderful in every way, and just the perfect companion for almost anyone looking for a loving sweetheart who is easy to have and gives such joy.
Lottie came to us from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles where she really had no possibility to be adopted. This is because at the time, Lottie was extremely obese and could barely get up off the kennel floor to say hello, let alone attract an adopter to her.
Lottie was brought to the shelter buy a lovely older woman who was met and fell in love with Lottie while visiting and working with a client. The story is that Lottie was a stray who was hanging around the clients furniture store and that she was so fat she could barely walk but she was darling and the workers loved her. She had basically been living in the parking lot for weeks and workers were feeding her off the local lunch truck.
When the visiting woman met Lottie she felt sorry for her. She took her to a local vet for vaccines and a check up and to see if she had a microchip and the woman had to turn her into the shelter was unable to keep her. She alerted local rescue, word spread, and we made our way to the shelter as quickly as we could. And the rest is history!
Lottie has lost weight and is getting around much better. She just adores her walks and loves, loves, loves the swimming pool. She jumps right in and swims around like a baby white harp seal. She will swim all day if you let her.
Lottie is wonderful with other dogs and ignores cats. She is fostered with a little dog - Cowboy - who is a Jack Russel/Chi mix and she is so gentle with him. He is only 1 year old but the two are wonderful buddies. He loves to play with Lottie and pulls her tail and ears and she puts up with him.
Lottie would do beautifully in most homes but really requires and deserves a home that will continue her walks and not allow her to ever get fat again. It is just too hard on her joints.
She will to wonderfully with another dog or as your one and only. She is a mellow submissive older gal who is pure pleasure to be with and who has a few great years of life to live with you.
Lottie is special. She is one of the prettiest and sweetest girls ever.
She is healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel she is the one for you, please be sure you have completed an application can then follow up with an email to babsrapp724@aol.com

| Bella 5 adopted!
Meet Bella! Bella is a 4 year old purebred English or Bench Bred female Labrador. This girl is a gorgeous cream yellow (white) girl with a block head and she is perfectly bred. They don't come more good looking than this beautiful, show quality girl!
Not only is Bella as gorgeous as they come, but she has the best temperment ever! She loves all people and all other dogs! In fact, she would love to have another doggie in her new home for companionship. Bella came to us after retiring her career as a show and breeding dog. So, at the young age of 4, we were lucky enough to rescue this girl and find her a new wonderful home. Bella spent most of her previous years in a concrete kennel on a breeders property. So she is now learning how wonderful living in a home with a family can be! Bella is a mellow girl who is perfect in the house. She needs a nice walk every day but settles in beautifully and is housebroken and non destructive. She is a good girl on the leash rarely pulling, so really a joy to walk, no training collar needed! Bella is a low to medium energy girl... she's a great couch potato, but can also enjoy a little play time in the yard or a nice walk. Bella is learning about soft squeaky toys and doggie bones, and starting to find them to be lots of fun! But Bella's FAVORITE thing is her belly rubs! Anytime you are near her, you will see her slowly lie down, roll over and smile for her belly rubs. And yes, she really does smile! Bella is great with all other dogs both small and large. She is fostered with an 8 year old female lab & a 3 year old male mixed breed. She has also met other dogs on walks & does well with all of them. She is becoming a little more playful every day. Bella would love to have another doggie in her new home - mostly just for companionship, but she might enjoy a little playtime with her doggie pal here and there. Bella would be great with kids though she is a big wiggler, so would do best with kids over age 5. But mostly she is a big teddy bear. She is a true love bug, who loves attention and love from everyone and will sit up close to you for more pets, or roll over on her back for her favorite belly rubs! Bella is good in the car - just sitting or laying down and enjoying the ride. She also does well running errands, just hanging out in the car while you run into the store. She's a very nice travel partner. Bella deserves the best in her new home...as she is just now experiencing what a wonderful life she can have living in a home with a family - being spoiled in all the good ways!
We don't know how Bella will do with kitties, so we will not look to place her in a home with cats at this time. Bella is healthy, spayed, and up to date on shots.
If you think this is the girl for you, please send an email to Indilabgirl@gmail.com. Be sure to complete an application to adopt before sending your email and remember you must have completed a homecheck prior to meeting any of our dogs.

| Hensley adopted!
Meet
Hensley, an adorable purebred yellow male Labrador of just about 2
years old. This yellow boy is beautiful with a gorgeous golden yellow
coat, a great blocky head and beautiful soulful burnt sugar eyes.
Hensley is also a nice size of about 75 pounds though he could stand to
fill out just a bit.
He is a happy, labby boy who is gentle, submissive, and full of more love than you can imagine.
Hensley
is a wonderful Lab who loves his people and and other dogs. And true to
his breed, he loves to retrieve. He will fetch a tennis ball, a
football, or even a soccer ball - he's an all around sporty guy. And boy
is he proud to bring it right back to you!
He is wonderful with
people and lovely with all other dogs - both big & small. He gets
along beautifully with his Labby sister in his foster home and he enjoys
meeting new people and new dogs. Pretty much anything in life is
wonderful to this guy.
Hensley was picked up as a stray by one
of the highest kill shelters in California where he then stayed on a
hard concrete floor with the saddest face, just waiting to be rescued.
This boy has the best temperament and the constant labby tail wag. He
likely had a hard life before coming to us as he has clearly lived
outside on concrete as evidenced by his elbow patches. Luckily at his
age, some good moisturizer and those will go away in no time. There is
also a small scar which you have to look for on his back. It looks as
though he may have gotten a chemical burn there and that really breaks
out heart knowing the sweet gentle nature of this purebred boy.
Since
the moment we got him out of the shelter, everyone has fallen in love
with him and he couldn't be happier and more thankful to be starting a
fabulous new life! He just has a way about him that makes pretty much
everyone smile and want to pet him. He's the kind of dog that brings joy
everywhere he goes.
Hensley is a slightly submissive boy and he
fits the breed standard to a T; he's as friendly and kind as they come
and just look at that face! DARLING! Pretty much everything we love
about our Labby breed.
As a young Lab he needs just a brush up
on some basic training, He knows his commands of sit & stay, and we
are working on more commands now. He settles so well in the house and
really is a mellow-medium energy boy. He does well in his crate
overnight and rides beautifully and calmly in the car. For a young
Labrador this guy is a very well behaved easy going boy.
Hensley
can pull on leash, and is still learning to not zig zag back &
forth, so walking on a training collar for a while would benefit this
boy. He is learning very quickly how to walk next to his leader with a
loose leash.
This boy would do great at dog park, he loves
hiking, and walks are his favorite. He is still a young boy who needs
good daily exercise, but he is a pretty mellow boy who settles very well
after having his exercise.
Hensley is not mouthy, but he can
jump up for a hug from his favorite humans, so children over 5 are
probably best for this boy. He rides great in the car and waits
patiently while you run in to do errands - what a good boy!
Hensley
would do wonderfully with another friendly doggie companion or he will
do nicely as your one and only. He does great with both little dogs
& big dogs. He deserves a loving owner who will shower him with
affection and attention!
Hensley is a healthy boy who is up to
date on vaccines and microchipped. He will be neutered this week and
then ready to go to his new forever home!
If you would like to meet Hensley, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com
