| Daxton adopted!
Meet Daxton, our beautiful yellow purebred male Labrador who came to us recently in need of eye surgery. Thanks to the generous support of some of our volunteers and families Daxton has had surgery to correct entropion eyes and is on his way to recovery. He is ready to start to find his new forever home!
Daxton is 2-3 years old and petite at only 55 pounds. He has a calm, timid nature and just wants to be loved! Daxton is on our home page as he came to us from a very high kill shelter where he had entropion in both eyes and was dumped there to die. The shelter recognized what an amazing boy he was and alerted us immediately. We promptly rescued him and scheduled him for the corrective eye surgery he needed and deserved! Daxton has now had his surgery and came through it with flying colors! His entropian is now completely cured with no chronic affects at all. He is finally free of the pain and doing well. Daxton is the perfect mix of mellow calmness and energetic fun. He's a young guy who needs a nice walk or dog park and is a gentle boy who wants nothing more than love and affection. He will sit right up next to you just to get attention and even try to crawl into your lap if you let him. He loves to cuddle up next to you and have his head on your lap or your chest - if you're looking for a the perfect smaller sized lab - you've found him in Daxton!
Daxton is a bit on the thin side - slightly underweight at 55lbs, but now that he is in our care, we are feeding him plenty of high quality food and healthy doggie treats so he can gain the 5-10 pounds he should gain to be at a healthy weight. We ask that his new family also be committed to helping him gain a little weight. He will likely be about 60 pounds when he is at his ideal weight, so he will still be a petite boy!
Daxton also knows some commands! He knows sit, down and come commands. He is a sweet, darling boy, who will follow you everywhere. He walks pretty well on leash - walking by your side, rarely pulling and passing other doggies beautifully with a friendly submissive wag.
Daxton settles beautifully in the house after his walk or playtime. He likes to be close to you and nap at your feet or on the dog bed & nestled up close. He is truly wonderful with all other dogs. He has been fostered with another male lab of 2 years old and a female lab of 8 years old and he is great, and actually submissive with both of them. He is a mostly calm, and submissive boy, who is very gentle in greeting other doggies and very comfortable around them.
Daxton will do beautifully as an only dog or with another friendly doggie companion. He is a medium energy boy - requiring his daily exercise, but a couple of moderate walks a day and some playtime in the backyard are just fine for him. Daxton does really likes his treats, and needs a little work on taking them gently. He will likely do well with children although we would prefer to place him in a home with kids older than 6. Daxton is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped & ready for his new home!
If you feel Daxton is right for you, and you have completed your homecheck and application, please email Indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Pumpkin 2 Adopted!
Meet Pumpkin, a 1 1/2 year old old amazing purebred female Golden Retriever. This girl is beyond PERFECTION! She is a lighter yellow/cream color, with a beautiful coat and the best temperament ever!
At only 1 1/2 years, this doll baby is a lovely size at about 60 pounds. She is calm and mellow indoors, loves to play outside, loves all other dogs, and of course all people.
Everything about Pumpkin is just innocent happiness - true sweetness. She looks to her person always wanting to please and really smiles all the time. Of course every person that meets Pumpkin falls in love with her gorgeous good looks and her gentle calm nature.
Pumpkin is a pretty special dog with superior temperament. She is a happy girl and submissive to people and other dogs. No matter what you do, Pumpkin goes with the flow and this makes her a wonderfully easy girl to be with.
We were shocked to find this girl in a local Los Angeles high kill shelter. We just cannot understand how anyone would give this girl up or not come looking for her. Although this happens every day - fabulous dogs end up in horrible shelters to die, we just never get used to seeing it. To us, Pumpkin is really just perfection. She is a beautiful girl with an amazing colored coat and soft amber eyes with perfect black eyeliner. She is a real show stopper looks wise, but honestly it is her temperament that is the true winner. They just do not come an better than this girl.
Pumpkin is a medium energy girl who settles beautifully in the house. She is a great dog to have with children and is a perfect family companion. She has a calm nature that at such a young age is a treasure!
Pumpkin will do best with a family that likes a velcro dog who loves to be by your side, as like many labs, she will follow you everywhere. She would also love a family that will take her out to do a lot of fun things. She will do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only.
Pumpkin is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and healthy as can be.
She knows her basic commands and is fabulous on leash. She walks right next to you, perfectly in pace, and always looking to you for direction. She is also 100% housebroken. She settles beautifully in the house! She already likes the couch, and finds her way on to the bed for snuggle time too. She is a sweetheart the likes attention and affection... her gentle nature, also makes her a great choice for a therapy dog! This girl loves her belly rubs and cuddle time. If you think Pumpkin is the girl for you, be sure to complete an application and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Starlight adopted!
Meet Starlight, a pretty 5 year old purebred black female Labrador. Starlight is a pretty girl with outstanding temperament and a wonderful personality. She is jet black, shiny, and nicely bred with a beautiful head and face.
Starlight is a medium energy girl who is wonderful on the leash. She doesn't pull and walks beautifully passing other dogs in a friendly, sweet manner. She is a pleasure to walk.
She is lovely at dog park also and gets along nicely with all other dogs. She is not a big player but enjoys running around a bit and interacting with the other dogs and people.
Starlight is wonderful in the car and in the house. She settles nicely and is trustworthy. She sleeps in her doggie bed all night and mostly wants to be near her people.
Thought she enjoys and genuinely loves other dogs, she isn't super playful but she is past the puppy stage so is appropriate for a 5 year old. She would do great in a multi dog household or as your one and only.
When left alone with her foster brother - a Swiss Mountain Dog - she has been great and does not dig, chew or bark. Most foster dogs have never been left completely alone without other dogs since all foster homes have other dogs.
We do not know how Starlight would do with cats so we will not place her with them.We think she would do great with children over 5. Starlight is also wonderful off leash having the desire to be with an please her person.
She is healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel this pretty purebred Labby gal is right for your family, please send an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Oreo adoption pending!
Oreo is a precious Labrador male of 4 years and the perfect size of only 50 pounds! He is sleek and gorgeous and has a shiny black coat.
This adorable fellow loves to be part of the action and wants to make everyone happy.
Oreo was rescued from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles. Oreo is doing fantastic with his foster family who can’t believe this precious animal ever became a stray.
He came to the shelter as a stray on September 12th, and was never provided the opportunity to meet a caring family. Under the weather when picked up by the rescue, he is now healthy with all vaccinations, micro-chipped and just recently neutered.
Oreo gets along great with his foster sister, a six year old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, and even let’s her believe she is the boss. He is extremely fond of toys with tug of war and chasing a ball being two of his favorite activities. He will never pass up a walk and is even growing to love car rides.
Oreo is great on a leash and adjusts to any walking pace. He is working on his simple commands and is very eager to please. Oreo loves playing with the older children in his foster family and is just the perfect size for play. He also seems fond of watching movies with his foster family. Oreo has that fabulous Labrador temperament and loves water - even thoroughly enjoying bath time.
Oreo is ready to find his forever family and will provide lots of love and company to both people and other dogs. While he will do fine with other canine companions, he would also thrive as an only dog getting all the attention. He has much to offer the fortunate family that takes him in.
If you are looking for that Lab Temperament and a perfect size, Oreo is the dog for you, please be sure to complete an application first and then follow-up with an email to Oreo’s foster mom at ridgeclan@gmail.com to arrange a meet and greet. Oreo is located in Anaheim Hills.

| Bruiser adopted!
Meet Bruiser, a truly beautiful, jet black, male Labrador of 3 1/2 years. This purebred Lab has everything we love about the breed, outstanding temperament and absolute love of all people, dogs, and cats.
Bruiser's name suits his size. He's a big boy at about 90 lbs - but nothing else about him is "Bruiser-like". He's a gentle boy. Bruiser is called Bruiser because when he was born, everyone said "look at that big bruiser", and it stuck. He was born February 21, 2008, making him 3 1/2. He truly is a gentle giant, mellow and fine with cats, other big dogs, and small dogs alike.
The reason we know so much about him is that Bruiser is owned by an Indilab volunteer who's work schedule and life change has left him with a life not worthy of such a great dog. Bruiser deserves more and his owner though broken-hearted, only wants the best life for him so she is willing to let use help find Bruiser a wonderful forever home.
Bruiser is a medium energy to mellow dog. Currently he is seeming like
he has more energy, but this is because he is not getting enough
exercise at all in his current situation. He is also jumping up more do to lack of attention. He just needs to go to a home where someone can give him time. His current owner is never, ever around anymore and Bruiser is missing having the attention he deserves.
Bruiser wants to be an indoor dog with his people. In his current situation, he is outside all the time and he hates it and so do we. Labs are indoor house dogs and never do well as outside dogs. He has seen so many foster dogs come through his mom's house and he is fine with almost any dog in the world.
Bruiser walks pretty well on leash, considering the only training he has had has been with his overworked mom, and she hasn't been consistent with him, so he will do great with an owner who will give him the time, training, and lots of great walks he deserves.
He is beautifully crate trained, going in on command. And he will sleep through the night in his crate.
Bruiser is a wonderful dog who is neutered, micrcohipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is a wonderful boy with the best personality and deserves only the best home. If you feel your home is right for this boy, contact scartersoo@mac.com

| Plucky adopted!
Meet Plucky (Lucky + Puggy!). Plucky is a gorgeous purebred black Pug and ooooooh boy is he adorable.
Plucky is 5 year old and a show or close to show quality pug. He is 10 lbs and is just perfect in every way possible.
Plucky is one lucky pug. His breeder/owner was just over limit on dogs and planned to euthanize this little guy. Luckily one of our volunteers got wind of the situation and offered to take Plucky on and boy are we glad we did. This little guy brings pure joy where ever he goes. You simply cannot be near Plucky without smiling.
Plucky is an adorable black male pug who gets along with labs and other big and little dogs just fine. He thinks kids are great playmates, and is great with kitties too. He has been fostered with a couple labs and a chihuahua and does great with all of them!
Plucky also enjoys his trips to the dog park and his walks with his foster mom. He is such a good boy that you can take anywhere with you! He loves car rides (although will often crawl into your lap), and loves to be a lap dog too!
Plucky is low to medium energy boy. He does just fine with a walk or trip to the park, and then settles well in the house.
Plucky is housebroken although like any new dog he should be watched at first in a new home.
When you are busy and not giving all your attention to this little man, he just settles right down at your feet. Pay attention to him and he'll want to snuggle right up in your lap.
He is a gentle boy who just turns away from his foster moms cats. So Plucky would be a great choice for a family with cats!
Plucky also crates well, and settles nicely at night, though we think he would love to sleep with his new owner.
Now that Plucky is out of the kennel, he is now a happy boy! Warming up to everyone he meets, people, dogs and other animals alike. He is just the most gentle, adorable, and living little man who deserves only the very best home.
Overall, he's a perfect little pug who would love to have an amazing home with hands to scratch his little puggy butt. He does well with his foster mom's 11 year old son, but as with most small dogs, we would be hesitant to place him in a home with very small children. (under 6).
Plucky is neutered and up to date on vaccines and he is very, very special.
If you think this little man is right for your family, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to barbara.rappaport@yahoo.com

| Hunter 6 adopted!
Meet Hunter 6, a handsome, gentle, extremely special 6 year old male Weimaraner. This purebred Weim is such a good boy in every way.
Hunter is a beautiful boy. He has a soft grey coat, beautiful amber eyes, and such a deep soul. He's a total lover and extremely calm and gentle. His foster mom says Hunter is "the best."
Hunter came to us from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter. He was on the euthanasia list for space and because he had a fatty lipoma which needed to be removed. Neither a good reason to kill a wonderful PERFECT purebred Weim like Hunter!!!
Luckily our resident Weim volunteer spotted this boy and got him out right away. He is now safe, vet checked and on his way to a better life.
Hunter is a close to perfect Weimaraner. He is non-destructive and calm in the house, easy going, perfect with other dogs and cats, and loves all people. What more could you ask for?
Hunter will do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Weimaraners do not like to be left alone for long periods. And he will do beautifully in the company of other sweet dogs like him.
He would love a calm zen household to chill in as this is his personality. He is not a loud super active guy. So homes with young children may not be the best. We think Hunter would do great with children, but we believe he will be happiest without the contact pulling, teasing, noise and riff raff young children bring.
Hunter does great on a leash and would love a walk or two each day with his person. He will do great at dog park or dog beach or even hiking if you want to do that. But he also doesn't have to have miles of exercise a day. He can go either way.
Hunter is a wonderful house dog. He is completely housebroken and loves being with his person. He is also silly and will steel a shirt or sock of yours to lay on to be close to you.
Hunter is a very healthy boy. He has a limpoma on his chest area which is a fatty mass and will be removed this week. His blood work is excellent and he is expected to recover easily from his surgery. We will also have Hunters teeth cleaned while he is under so he can show off his pearly whites!
Hunter is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this easy going sweet boy is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to donna@dishgirl.com

| Farrah adopted!
Meet Farrah, our little 1yr old chocolate female Bench Bred Labrador Retriever. Farrah is a beautiful purebrred English Lab with a deep dark chocolate coat and a beautiful blocky head. She is stunning!
Farrah is a young girl we are listing as one year of age though she may be younger at just 10-11 months. She is just lovely in every way with close to perfect temperament. She's a youngster still of course and has another full year of puppyhood. Someone clearly paid a lot of money for this purebred chocolate Lab puppy and yet they just let her go. Amazing!
Farrah loves her people and loves all people! She is curious and happy and wiggly and has come far from the day we brought her home. We think this sweetie had a less than ideal start in life. Labradors need a really great start and since they are such people dogs (service dogs, guide dogs for the blind, etc.), they really need that love and nurturing from the get go. We think this bunny was probably ignored and maybe left in the yard with little attention and by the time we got her she was a bit shy and underweight. Thanks to our Indi volunteers scouting some of Los Angeles' highest kill shelters, Farrah was rescued and put straight into foster care where she has blossomed into a precious, lovable girl ready to find her forever home.
Farrah came to us with a dull coat, shy and skinny. But now she is a stunning, gorgeous beauty queen worthy of "Best in Show!"
Farrah gets along great with her two foster labby brothers and she likes a good game of chase with them. Farrah also loves to toss toys as she runs around with that goofy awkward puppy prance.
Playful and entertaining, Farrah is still a puppy. She is good in the house but since she is young, her new home should be “puppy proofed” for any dog this age. She will do best with lots of toys to pull out and play with while you are away like kongs, ropes and other tough style toys.
Farrah is completely housebroken using the doggy door or holding it until you let her out.
Farrah likes everyone she meets and is a real people dog following you from room to room. She’s very affectionate and will lie at your feet waiting patiently for she is just so grateful to be loved. Farrah is not a barker either so she would make a great companion for a work at home Mom or Dad.
Farrah is not good with cats but would love to live with another canine brother or sister.
Farrah is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and current on flea medication.
If you feel this sweet pea is right for you, be sure you have submitted your application and have had your home check, then email her foster mom lori@indilabrescue.org

| Megan Adopted!
Meet Megan "Song of Summer"! This absolutely beautiful purebred English girl is out of the well known and respected Bruegger breeding line. She is just outstanding in every way. Her nice blocky head, her pale yellow coat, and her unending sweetness and good heart make Megan the most lovely of them all.
Megan has just turned 8 years and is sound, healthy, made of pure sweetness and has the temperament and looks we all adore. She is an absolute treasure.
Megan has a coat of silk, so abundant it makes her look larger than she is. That said her profile photos actually were taken a bit ago prior to Megan losing a few lbs. She has slimmed down a bit and has a lovely girlish figure!
Miss M is so loving. She is a complete wiggler and lover and she gets along so well with her foster Labrador sister and brother. She loves all people and all dogs.
Poor Megan came to us after the break up of her family. Sadley Megan has been pretty neglected in the last year prior to her arrival with us. But this is all behind her now. She is doing beautiful and is healthy and happy and ready for her new forever home with someone lucky enough to have her love.
She has had a difficult few years after her family divorced and everything changed for her. She was staying with a family friend who kept her as an outside dog and poor Megan got overweight and suffered from fly strike. She also was ignored and unappreciated. That is just too sad when you consider how special in every way this perfect Labrador is.
She is blossoming in her foster mothers home with lots of touching and gentle words of love and assurance that she is important and good and so so special. Megan's birthday is July 8th and her foster mommy says Megan is "a song of summer", and eight years young.
This healthy girl has no sign of joint problems, amazing teeth, and only wants her forever family to come for her and to love her forever. She is thriving on a grain free diet as all Labradors should eat grain free food only. She has lost a few pounds and should lose six more pounds to be at her ideal perfect weigh. Until then there is more Megan, Song of Summer to love, cuddle, and adore as anyone who is with her but for a moment will want to do.
Megan would be a perfect fit for a family looking for a perfect zen love bug or even for a retired family who has a wonderful safe place for her and could take her on a morning and evening walk. She would do well as an only dog or as an addition to another submissive loving dog like her. She would do well with a family with children over age five.
Megan has not been tested with cats, so no cats for Megan.
Megan is up to date on her shots, spayed, and chip implanted. She is fostered in Santa Barbara.
If you feel this angel is for you, please contact her foster mom judithcoursonburton@gmail.com

| Blake adopted!
Meet Blake, a shiny gorgeous purebred male Labrador of about 2 years. This boy is stunning! He is about 65 lbs with a beautiful blocky head, a sweet expression, and a happy go lucky temperament!
This young, happy boy loves to play. He enjoys fetching a ball, a squeaky toy or anything else you might throw for him. He also loves playing with his squeaky toys and dog bones too. We just love this guy!
Blake''s a wiggler and a wagger in true Labby fashion. He loves everyone and good with every dog he meets. He is fostered with a female lab of 8 years old and a male lab of 2 years old and gets along great with both of them. This guy came to us as a stray from the highest kill shelter in California where he was in immediate danger. Any Lab at a shelter is in danger, but black Labs are in the most danger. This is partly because some people don't like black dogs in general, but mostly because the dark kennels don't allow the dark dogs to pop out as much so most people walk right on by them never seeing the dog at all.
When we met Blake, we fell in immediate love. And so did he. Kisses and wags everywhere. And he couldn't be happier to be safe... running around the yard with his toys, rolling around on the grass - all the fun things a Labby deserves to do every day! He's a pretty happy boy, taking all the change in stride.
Blake is an easy going boy. He's a young Lab who needs good daily exercise. He of course loves retrieving the ball so his new family will need to be sure to play fetch with him. He's pretty good on leash too... he will pull you at first, but he settles well into the walk after about 10 minutes. He corrects well with a training collar and will be a good healer in no time!
Blake is great with other dogs. And he enjoys chasing the ball with his foster siblings. He is great sharing food and treats. He eats right next to his foster siblings and they get along famously.
Blake is a medium energy boy who settles down beautifully in the house once he has had his exercise. He enjoys hanging out in the yard with his foster siblings, but mostly (like any Lab) he wants to be near you. If you're inside, he wants to be inside too. He also loves laying at his foster mom's feet while she is doing things. Even more... Blake has good training and knows his commands. He knows sit, down and is even learning "drop it" with his toys!
This boy will do great in a home with or without children. He is likely too big and wiggly for tiny toddlers but children over age 5 or 6 would be fine. He would be fine with or without a friendly canine companion.
This beautiful boy is housebroken and non-destructive. He is a good boy in the house and the car. He would love dog park and dog beach and would enjoy a hike now and then with his new family.
Blake is up to date on vaccines. He is scheduled to be neutered next week, so if you would like to add him to your home before then, we just ask that you bring him to one of our vets for his neuter at our cost.
If you think this darling boy is the one for you, please send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Lake adopted!
Meet Lake, our new handsome male Labrador! Lake is a beautiful, very nicely bred, English male Labrador.
Lake is 3-4 years of age and of perfect conformation. He is currently about 82 pounds and would be at idea weight at 75 lbs.
Lake is a pretty amazing boy. He is gorgeous and perfect in almost every way. He is a very calm, easy going fellow who is on the submissive side and is just wonderful with all people and all dogs.
Lake is medium energy and is perfect on the leash. He doesn't pull at all and he passes all other dogs nicely and without incident. He is great with all dogs. Lake is a good boy at dog park too. He's not a super playful nutty boy, but he does enjoy the company of other dogs and will engage in play a bit. Overall he just enjoys the attention and meeting new canine and human friends. He is a nicely social boy.
Lake is wonderful with people. He loves nothing more than to lay on his back for a belly rub and he will do so even in the midst of other dogs. He is not mouthy or jumpy making him ideal to have around children, however he does love toys and will tear up a soft toy on occasion, so if a family has kids with toys, those toys will likely be played with and may be torn up by this guy.
Lake is housebroken and non-destructive in the house. He is calm in the car and shares his space nicely with people and other dogs on rides.
Lake is really a wonderful dog. He will do well in most households. He will do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only.
We do not know how Lake would do with kitties so we are not considering homes with cats at this time.
Lake comes to us from our rescue partner in Taipai, Taiwan where we have rescued many purebred Labradors. These dogs have been among our best and sweetest dogs. All Taiwan Labs are health checked to the 9's and snap tested for illness. They are quarantined and are issues full health certificates prior to acceptance into our foster program.
Several of our Taiwan Labs have gone on to be certified therapy dogs here in Southern California.
Lake is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel this perfect boy is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application and your home check and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Obie adopted!
Meet our new friend Obie! Obie is a really, really well bred English (or Bench Bred) purebred Labrador male. He's about 6 years old and is a wiggle butt! He has a big old blocky head, a stocky Labrador body, and the sweetest face ever in the whole world.
Obie is a good sized boy at about 75 lbs and he is as calm and gentle as a little lamb. He is a true Labby lover - just the way we like 'em!
Obie is wonderful with all people and all dogs - even little dogs. He's playful and loves to play with other dogs but he also is a calm boy who settles very nicely in the house.
Obie has had a very hard life we think. Someone paid some good money for this good looking purebred boy for sure - but somewhere along the line, Obie's life changed. He clearly has been an outside dog for some time and clearly had been on the streets for awhile meeting at least one dog who attacked him and bit his eye and ear. He is healing well thank goodness. His coat is lackluster but it's nothing some good food won't fix in short order!!!
Obie is so happy with the male and female Labbies he is fostered with. He just loves them. His foster brother is a young 7 month old Lab and his foster Labby sister is an 8 year old female. So he does great with older and younger doggies. His puppy foster brother is all over Obie and Obie just takes it in stride.
He's a very submissive boy who loves to roll on his back for belly rubs. He is a perfect gentleman in the house too. And he is great on leash to boot!
His new owner should provide reassurance that he will never be left alone again. He should never experience what he has gone through.
Obie does his best in a home with other dogs. He will not do his best as an only dog unless you are home all day or take hi to work. He really doesn't like being totally alone. But so long as he has a friendly dog for company he is extremely happy!
Although Obie is gentle enough to be with little toddlers, we prefer older children because he is a nibbler and a mouther. He loves to show his person affection with a little nibble or by putting him mouth on you.
Obie is a very healthy boy who is ready for a wonderful loving family who will treasure him. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel this boy is right for you, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Tiny adopted!
Meet Tiny, a extremely gorgeous block headed purebred 2 year old Labrador.
This boy really is stunning in looks with that glossy Labby coat, otter tail, and big block head, but what is most special about tiny is his gentle, calm, and absolutely wonderful nature. You really can't find better than the temperament Tiny offers.
He's a big boy at almost 100 lbs. but he is much more of a therapy dog than a moose! Tiny is gentle enough to have with children and the smallest dogs and he is pure joy to have in the house. He is truly a special boy with the best of looks and temperament. it is amazing to us that this boy of this high standard was found in a high kill shelter.
Tiny was rescued from a Los Angeles high kill shelter. Often black dogs don’t make it out since their dark color makes them harder to see in the bad shelter light. Many times they are just missed or passed over EVEN when they are well bred purebred gorgeous Labradors like this youngster.
At only two years and very playful, this boy is very gentle with other dogs and children. He LOVES everyone and has the biggest heart. He loves his baths and being brushed and honestly any attention really is what he adores. He loves being part of the family. Tiny will be the best companion one could ever ask for.
Tiny is a quick learner eager to please. He wants his person to be proud of him and he is a best friend. Tiny just loves to go on walks and hikes with his foster family. Despite a full day, he won’t close his eyes until the last one in the family is asleep. He just adores his foster family and will bring the same love to his new home. Tiny is a family dog.
Tiny is housebroken and knows his basic commands. He is great on the leash and loves to go for walks and hikes with his foster family.
Tiny is current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and recently neutered. He is now ready for his permanent home and is sure to bring many years of joy for the lucky family that opens their door.
You really cannot find a better gentle family dog with show quality looks to boot. If you have all the love in the world to give, our Tiny may be the one for you. He only deserves the very best!
Once you have had your home-check by one of our volunteers, you can contact his foster family by email at

| Toleman adopted!
Toleman is an adorable purebred chocolate male Labrador of 2 years. This darling boy is just the best dog ever. He is calm, easy, and wants nothing more than to please. He is a lovely medium size of 68 pounds so just a GREAT size for a Labrador.
This stunningly handsome pedigreed dog hails from the single highest kill shelter in all of California. Just so you know. Yup dogs like this are killed each and every day and we were very, very lucky to get this exceptionally sweet and beautiful dog out.
Toleman is great with other dogs. He is fostered with another foster girl, a chocolate female of 3 years old and a 7 year old female lab and he gets along well with both of them. He will chase a ball a bit, but is not overly interested in playing fetch. He can be slightly possessive over a toy or bone, but he is easily corrected.
Toleman is a young boy who needs his daily exercise, but he is a medium energy dog who does fine with a couple of walks a day, and some fun playtime in the yard. He is fabulous on leash - walking right in pace with his person - never walking ahead or behind. What a joy to walk he is! He also enjoys his off leash hikes with his foster mom & doggie friends on some local trails and he is very good off leash continually watching his foster mom and wanting to please her by being obedient and coming when called. His exception temperament is what makes Toleman so special. He has all the things we look for in a good family dog. He is very easy to train and correct and takes great pride in doing what he is told. What a special companion this boy is - one family will be very lucky to adopt him! He is mostly about his people even though he is so well socialized with other dogs. He will do fine with another sweet canine companion or as an only dog getting all the attention. He is a faithful friend who would make a wonderful companion to anyone lucky enough to take him home forever.
Toleman is very good at adjusting to your lifestyle. If he is home with a retired person he will lay at their feet. Or if his master wanted to take a jog Toleman would be thrilled to go. He sort of fits right in with no trouble. All he needs to be truly happy and reach perfection is a loving family who will provide him structure and exercise and solid leadership. He is a submissive boy who is really very calm and mellow and just loves to give and receive affection from his person! Toleman is not a jumper, although he can be a bit mouthy & may jump up when he is very excited about a ball or his food. Because of this, we will only place Toleman with older children over age 7 or 8. Toleman is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.
If you think Toleman is the boy for you, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Bailey Adopted!
Meet Bailey, a gorgeous purebred chocolate female lab of 5
years that is full of love and happiness. Bailey is perfection in every way and very sweet and
loving.
Bailey came to us after her family dropped her and
her sister off at a high kill shelter.
Her family learned that Bailey had a torn cruciate ligament in her knee
and didn’t care enough to do the right thing. Instead, she was brought to a shelter
where she would have only a few days to live. Indi Lab met and brought home both Bailey and her sister Lilly who has since gone to a loving home. Now it is Bailey's turn to find a forever home!
ready for her forever home with a
family that will give her lots of attention, love, daily exercise and plenty of
belly rubs.Bailey has had surgery to repair her torn ACL and is finally healed and ready for her new forever home! She is doing great and is completely healed! She can hike, fetch, and is a healthy Labby girl! Her new family will want to continue to build up her exercise over the next few weeks and after that, the sky is the limit!
She would love to go swimming and that is fabulous for her!
Bailey is a very smart girl who knows her
commands such a sit, lay down, come, shake and even high five! She is also a good kisser and enjoys
liking your face every change she gets. Bailey uses the
doggy door and has never had an accident on her foster
home.
Bailey gets along very well with her foster brother
and sister. She loves the company of other dogs but is not a super playful girl. She absolutely loves human companionship
and loves to follow her person around. She is fostered with a cat but really isn't great with cats, so we prefer to place her in a home with no kitties.
Bailey is a wonderful size! She is a petite girl at 59 pounds and is perfect weight.
Because she is so gentle and mellow, she is perfect
for families with kids. She is ready for her forever home!
Bailey is spayed, up to date on vaccines and micro
chipped.
If you think that Bailey is the right dog for you,
please send an email to her foster mom nmchristopher@gmail.com to arrange for
a meeting.

| Tandy adopted!
Meet Tandy, a beautiful purebred female Labrador. This beautiful girl has a soft pale yellow coat and always a big smile. Tandy is your standard medium sized field lab. She is such a pleasure to have around always ready to give you kisses.
Tandy is a mellow girl that loves being an indoor companion enjoys being right by your side. She has great house manners. She is housebroken, still learning to use the doggie door but will let you know when she needs to go out. Tandy also knows a few commands and is such a quick learner.
Tandy loves to play and run around in her own backyard with another dog or just with you. She will also play by herself picking up a toy and tossing it around.
She is currently living with a 6 year old Labby foster brother and has met dogs big and small. She's even good with cats.
Tandy is truly a house dog companion. She’s never done anything bad in the house and has had free range or her foster mommy's home even when she has been left alone for a few hours at a time. She would be good for a working family and will greet you with lots of kisses and love when you return home.
Tandy is pretty close to perfect. However she is quite timid when in the "outside" world on the leash. She has clearly never been on a leash before and gets very, very afraid. Her foster mommy is working with her to learn to love to go for walks but it will take time. Tandy is so PERFECT that this one little thing should be very easy for a truly loving and committed person to work though. However it will take time an patience.
We think Tandy may have been a kenneled breeder dog not yet bred. Kenneled breeder dogs (we have had many) tend to be afraid to go on the leash on a walk as they have never had this before.
Tandy loves going to people's homes and is good in the car though still scared getting in the car and out of the car. But overall she loves going on homechecks with her foster mom and meeting people. It is really only the leash and neighborhood walks she is scared of and she is getting better slowly but surely. We want to find a loving home that will continue to work with her on this without being too hard on her. She is worth it!
Tandy is completely healthy, recently spayed, on frontline and vaccinated. She is also micro-chipped so she could never be “lost” again. Now all she needs is a family committed to her for the rest of her life.
If you feel this loving girl is right for you, click on our applications page and submit as soon as possible. If you have already submitted your application and have had your home check, feel free to email her foster mom lori@indilabrescue.org

| Levi 2 adopted!
Meet Levi, a cute, bouncy, adorable male yellow Labrador. This young 2 year old cutie has the most lovely personality and is really just the nicest Labrador.
Levi is a buttery yellow color and is a tall boy who has yet to fill out. He's a lanky fellow with an adorable expression and goofy personality. He pretty much loves everything on the planet including all people, little children, cats, dogs and so far as we can tell...ducks.
Levi is a youngster with lots of playful energy. He loves dog park and playing and he is a fabulous, amazing jogging partner. He needs his good daily exercise for sure!!!! But after doing his thing, this boy settles nicely in the house and loves his doggie bed.
Levi is so cute with the tennis ball. He loves to throw it for himself and will chase it around the house or yard. He self-entertains and it is so funny and cute that his foster mommy is entertained too - just watching!
Levi loves other dogs and is a submissive boy. He loves to wrestle and chase other dogs. He greets other dogs nicely on the leash and is even sweet to tiny dogs like a little tea-cup Chi he met the other day.
Levi loves to trot next to you while you jog, but if you are simply walking he will go at your pace and not even pull! He really wants to please his person.
Levi takes treats very, very gently and has no food aggression with people or other dogs.
This boy is a typical young Labby man who needs a loving owner to spend lots of time with him providing exercise, fun, and most of all best-friendship!!!! He is a dog that will for sure be a best friend.
Levi was turning into the highest kill shelter in California by his owners who lost their home. A volunteer spotted him and got him out immediately for at this shelter all dogs turned into them by owners are killed almost immediately. Thank goodness Levi wasn't one of them!
Levi is housebroken and knows sit. He is learning other commands.
If you feel you are up for a fun, playful and energetic youngster who is really just about the cutest most loving boy around, please let us know. This guy deserves only the very best home.
Levi will do great with a playful friendly canine companion or as your one and only if you can give him the time he needs. He will do fine with a dog-savvy kitty but cats who are shy of dogs may not adore his puppy attitude at times. He can be very respectful of a kitty but he can also be curious.
Levi is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel this doll baby is for you, please be sure you have completed an application and had your homecheck. Then please follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Santana adoption pending!
Meet Santana, a stunningly beautiful purebred male Weimaraner of 2 years old. This youngster is unbelievably handsome with a beautiful coat and the most amazing eyes. He is about 70 pounds and is a tall, lovely boy!
As gorgeous as this beautifully bred boy is, his looks are not the best part of him. He is just an amazing, wonderful dog.
Santana is a higher energy, young, two year old male Weimaraner who likes brisk walks and mingling with other dogs at the dog park. He would be a great running partner. He'll do best with a fitness-minded owner who will make a commitment to walking regularly and appreciate the reciprocal benefits of a loving, loyal walking and hiking partner.
Santana apparently had no prior leash experience but has been improving by leaps and bounds. He is ripe for bonding with a patient someone who can help build on the foundation established during fostering.
Santana is great with kids, even toddlers, and has lived with small dogs so he would be an excellent choice for a family with children. He is gentle, even with babies. We aren't sure how he is with kitties, though.
Weimaraners in general do not do well left alone. Their need for companionship makes the ideal home one where someone is around most of the time or in which work schedules overlap enough to minimize extended absences. Santana will do best where someone is around a lot of the time and will do great in a home with other dogs.
Santana has unlimited potential with an owner willing to invest time and patient nurturing. He'll return many times more than what you put into him. He's well worth it and that's no exaggeration!
Santana is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered.

| Abbey Queen of Hearts adopted!
Meet Abbey, Queen of Hearts. A stunningly gorgeous purebred English blocky Labradors. Pale and lovely with a gorgeous head, conformation, and the best temperament around, This beauty is lookin' for love. Will you be the one to win her heart???
Sweet Abby is a super soft-coated, cream-colored beautiful lady, and is nine years young. She is submissive, soft-mouthed and very loving.
Abby is just a tad overweight. Like most Labbies, Abby would be more comfortable if she lost a few
pounds. She has some mild arthritis so her vet will need to recommend
the proper anti-inflammatory medication to help her feel comfy. And of course like all Labs, Abby should be on daily glucosamine.
Also like all other purebred Labradors, Abby should be fed a grain free diet. Dogs and Labs particularly do not tolerate grain well at all. Besides gas, most Labs will get skin and ear infections and just generally will not be as healthy or happy when fed grain. Over time it can cause big problems. Abby absolutely should be on grain free food or she will show skin irritation and her skin and coat as just too pretty for that!
Abby was raised with children who are currently age 2, 4, and 8 and would be wonderful with any of those ages in a family due to her extremely gentle nature and sweet personality. She would also be perfect for grandparents who have children in their lives. Abby comes with her own fan club of people whose hearts have been deeply touched by her gentle spirit, including mine (her foster mama).
Abby is getting along beautifully with her foster brother MacGreggor and her foster sister Sneakers - both Labradors. She has a generous amount of love and trust.
Miss A is house trained, house trustworthy and non destructive. She loves the salt water pool and retrieving water toys. She requires daily exercise but a walk around the block twice a day would be enough. Getting together with other Labs would be wonderful for her as well because she so enjoys the social interaction.
Abby travels well in the car, and actually smiles when she is truly happy. She loves to be talked to, to be brushed, held and lots of fore head kisses combined with a two handed ear rub. She has yet to be bored with her foster mama looking in her eyes and telling her what a truly good girl she is.
Abby is up to date on her shots and current on flea control. This sweet girl even gets along with cats.
If you are interested in meeting Abby please contact judithcoursonburton@gmail.com

| Gatsby adopted!
Meet Gatsby! Gatsby is a 5 year old purebred English or Bench Bred purebred male Labrador. This boy is a gorgeous pale yellow guy with a big block head and a nice stocky body. He has no dew claws & is just a beautifully bred boy!! They don't come more good looking than this chunky english boy!
So hard to believe that Gatsby ended up in one of the highest kills shelters just outside Los Angeles. This boy clearly had a loving home at one time, as he has great manners and loves his humans... so we are so lucky to have found him! Gatsby is a mellow guy who is perfect in the house. He needs a nice walk every day but settles in beautifully and is totally housebroken and non destructive. He is a good boy on the leash rarely pulling, so really a joy to walk, no training collar needed! Gatsby is a low to medium energy boy... he's a great couch potato, but can also enjoy a short game of fetch in the yard or a nice walk. He just loves his soft squeaky toys and will carry them around the house wherever he goes! He also enjoys the dog bones at his foster home and the cutest thing of all is that after he has eaten the last kibble in his bowl at meal times, he picks up his dog bowl & carries it around in his mouth - it's just adorable! Gatsby is great with all other dogs both small and large. He is fostered with an 8 year old female lab & the two get along great. He has also met other dogs on walks & does well with all of them. He does get excited when he sees other dogs while he is on the leash, sometimes happily barking at them before he gets to meet them. This is nothing more than a friendly greeting as once he is close enough to meet other dogs, he is a happy, calm boy with a lovely slow tail wag. Gatsby is great with kids though he is a big guy and would do best with kids over age 5 as he can be a big wiggler. But mostly he is a big teddy bear. He is a true love bug, who loves attention and love from everyone and will sit up close to you for more pets, or roll over on his back for his favorite belly rubs! Gatsby is also good in the car - just sitting or laying down and enjoying the ride. He also does well running errands, just hanging out in the car while you run into the store. He's a very nice travel partner.
Gatsby would do fine as your one and only or with another canine companion. He's not a playful doggie companion, he mostly just likes the company of other dogs and they seem to also love him. He would do just fine left alone during the workday, just happily greeting you when you come home.
We don't know how Gatsby will do with kitties, so we will not look to place him in a home with cats at this time. Gatsby is healthy, neutered, up to date on shots, dewormed, and current on flea control.
If you think this is the boy for you, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Ivy adopted!
Meet Ivy, a beautifully bred, white female English Lab. She's blocky and petite, pretty much the best look any purebred Lab can have. But her beautiful show-quality looks are only the beginning with this smaller gorgeous Labrador. she is really the sweetest female lab around.
Ivy is 2 years old and on the smaller side at only 50 pound. She is a lovely combination of playful energy and nice indoor mellowness. She is the cutest little labbie girl ever!
Ivy is very playful and loves to play with other dogs. She needs her nice daily exercise as she is still a young Lab at age 2, but she is the perfect mix of fun and easy. She loves to play fetch and will run after the ball and bring it back to you over & over again. She is great with other dogs and enjoys her visits to the dog park.
Ivy came to us from a high kill shelter were she was found as a stray and we rescued her just in time. Ivy came to us with a really bad infection in both her ears & on her tummy. Likely that her previous family never even tried to treat this, she responded very quickly to our treatment and is doing so well. Like almost ALL Labradors, Ivy does not do well with a diet based on grain which is what dogs eat when they eat crappy, cheap food. Once on good, grain free food, Ivy thrived and is still thriving beautifully. Her new family needs to commit to feeding a grain free food. Ivy LOVES to play fetch and will carry a ball around with her wherever she goes. She will even play ball with herself if you're not available to play with her - it's really cute! She walks well on leash, pulling just a bit in the beginning but falling right into step and passing other dogs beautifully. She would love walks with you and trips to the dog park, beach and more. Ivy settles beautifully in the house after she has had her exercise. She likes to be close to you and nap at your feet or on the bed. She is housebroken and not destructive, but as any dog, she should be watched at first in her new home. She also knows how to use a doggie door!
Ivy is good with other dogs both big and small. She has met many other dogs both on and off leash, both big & small and she does beautifully with all of them. She would do great as an only dog or with another doggie companion. She does get lonely when left alone, so she will probably do best in a home where you are not gone long hours and/or has another doggie companion. She is currently fostered with another male lab of 6 years old and they get along great.
Ivy is a very good girl in the car, she settles beautifully and just lays down while you drive. She rides along well while running errands, and sometimes likes to find her way to the passenger seat while you are inside a store.
Ivy will do well with children though keep in mind, any playful lab can knock over toddlers. Ivy is up to date on shots, spayed and microchipped.
Ivy will need to continue a grain free high quality food in her new home which is very easy to do since there are many options out there. In fact we ask families adopting any dog from us to feed grain free only!!! And no one in this rescue feeds food with grain ever since this is entirely inappropriate for the Labrador Retriever.
If you think Ivy is the girl for you, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and send an email to lori@indilabrescue.org

| Paisley adopted!
Meet Paisley, a happy and sweet purebred chocolate female Labrador of just about 3-4 years.
Paisley is a darling chocolate purebred with a sweet face and equally sweet disposition. She has a gorgeous, soft coat that we just adore! She loves everyone and has a nice playful energy about her as she picks up and plays with her toys and brings them to you.
Paisley is great with other dogs both big and small. She is fostered with other dogs, other labs and a smaller dog and she gets along great with all of them. She loves her toys, carries them around and even can be found hiding them behind her favorite tree in the yard. But, she never destroys her toys. She is non-destructive and will does well left alone in the house.
Paisley is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house. She is a nice sized lab at 68 lbs. She will do best at her ideal weight of 70 lbs and is a very healthy girl. She is learning to walk better on leash, although she can pull just a little bit. Paisley came to us from the highest kill shelter in all of California. Her life was in immediate danger when we found her and she had only just arrived. So it was shear luck we were able to save her life. This is hard to even imagine because of how beautiful and lovely this girl is. Paisley will do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. She also does very well with the kitty in her foster home, so she would be a great choice for a family with cats!
Paisley will need her daily exercise like a good walk or dog park and then will do great settling into the house. She is completely housebroken and has nice manners. But she is still young so she must have her daily exercise. She loves the water, so she would likely love to find a home where she can go swimming in a pool or go to dog beach.
Paisley would likely do well with children, however any lab can knock a toddler down, so only children over age 5 will be considered. Paisley is a good girl in the house or car and settles nicely. Her new family will want to supply lots and lots of toys and chewy toys like nylabones, rawhides, and bully sticks to keep her amused.
This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her.
Paisley is a healthy girl who is up to date on shots, microchipped, and spayed.
If you think Paisley is the girl for you, please complete an application and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Holli adopted!
Meet Holli, a darling and energetic 1 year old female purebred Labrador. Holli is a petite little gal at only about 48 pounds and has a pretty face and beautiful yellow coloration.
Holli is a medium to high energy Labrador who is excellent with all other dogs and loves people. She is young and active and will need a home where her new owner is willing to provide lots of daily dog park, jogging or other good exercise. She is after all a very young Labrador who is really not yet an adult. In Labrador terms she is still a puppy!
Holli has wonderful temperament and great potential. She absolutely will need some good basic training. She has lots to learn but wants to please. Holli is learning her leash manners and had lots to learn. She has clearly never been on a leash so we are teaching her.
Holli loves other dogs and loves dog park and the ball. It's easy to get her good and tired just retrieving her ball. She likes haning out with other doggies and is so good with them.
Holli is a very, very pretty Labrador on the petite side. You cannot take her somewhere without tons of comments on how adorable she is. And her heart is so wonderful. She has all the very best qualities.
Holli will do best in a home where children are over age 9 and where she will have a play canine companion or where her new owner will commit to lots of daily exercise and training. With training and exercise, this will be an outstanding dog.
Holli is a very healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

| Madison adopted!
Meet Madison, a darling and energetic
1-2 year old female purebred Labrador. Madison is a nice sized gal at
about 65 pounds and has a pretty face and beautiful yellow coloration.
Madison is
a medium to high energy Labrador who is excellent with all other dogs
and loves people. She is young and active and will need a home where her
new owner is willing to provide lots of daily dog park, jogging or
other good exercise. She is after all a very young Labrador who is
really not yet an adult. In Labrador terms she is still a puppy!
Madison has wonderful temperament and great potential. She
absolutely will need some good basic training. She has lots to learn but
wants to please. She already knows how to sit & will give you her
paw for more attention!
Madison is good with other dogs, liking the game of chase
and general playtime. She is fostered with another male Lab who she
just loves to play with in the yard. She would do great at dog park and
she also likes the ball. She would do great as a jogging partner or on
hikes too!
Madison is a very, very pretty Labrador. She gets lots of
comments on how adorable she is! We are confident that with a little
bit of training, she will become a fabulous adult Labbie!
Madison
will do best in a home where children are over age 7 as she can be
quite jumpy... although she is learning in her foster home that greeting
humans is best done on all four paws. She just gets so excited! She
would likely do well as your one and only, or with another playful
doggie companion. With training and exercise, this will be an
outstanding dog.
Madison is fostered with dog savvy kitties and she does okay. She
does like to bark at the cats, and could likely enjoy a game of chase,
so she might not be the best choice for a family with cats, unless your
cats are very dog savvy.
Madison is a very healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. if you feel this beautiful girl is right for you, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Buddy Boy adopted!
Meet Buddy Boy, a beautiful tri-color, male, purebred Australian Sheppard with a heart of gold. This 1 year old is a therapy quality pup which the most extreme desire to please and the most gentle demeanor.
Yes we know! Buddy Boy is not a Labrador, but once we were made aware of his plight, Indi Lab simply had to step up for him. He is just too wonderful not to get the very best home.
Buddy Boy came to us through a friend. This youngster belonged to a horrible family who neglected and mistreated Buddy Boy. They felt that hitting him was the proper way to "teach" him and used violence and force on this young puppy. Thankfully our friend put a stop to this by demanding the surrender of Buddy Boy and the rest is history.
When we first met Buddy Boy he was very underweight and had been kicked so hard he had trouble walking. In a very short time he is walking fine and he is already a completely different dog.
Buddy Boy is one of the lucky ones. For some reason he seems to know the "bad man" is gone and that all other people are wonderful and loving. Buddy Boy adores people and for that we are so grateful. He miraculously is able to complete bounce back from the life he had before and is a happy wiggly boy with so much love ahead of him.
Buddy Boy has had little training but he will train up beautifully. He is a dog who very much "looks" to his person for direction. His eagerness to please and his intelligence make him an outstanding training candidate. He has the potential to be an amazingly well trained dog who could even work as a service dog. We have never heard Buddy Boy bark. We are sure he will but so far he never has. He walks on heal with no leash (though we never advocate walking any dog off leash) and he walks beautifully on leash, passing other dogs nicely like a gentle man.
Buddy Boy has absolutely not one hint of aggression. He is a submissive boy who is perfect with all other dogs - large and small - and even wonderful with kitties making him a great candidate for families with cats.
He is on the shier more submissive side. And because of his previous experiences this is slightly increased but he is coming out of his shell comfortably and quickly. He will always be a more submissive boy which is so lovely.
Buddy Boy is a young and healthy boy. Though he is a mellow, medium energy boy, he really is still a puppy and as such needs a family willing to provide him lots of daily exercise. He will do great at dog park, dog beach, jogging with his new BFF or even as a hiking partner.
Buddy will do beautifully with another friendly canine companion as he is so wonderful with other dogs.
Though we know Buddy does fine left alone, we prefer to place him where he won't spend super long days alone with no company as an only dog. He is young and life so far has been hard. We think he deserves a home where he had healthy and happy companionship and joy.
Buddy will do fine with children as he is very gentle and not mouthy. However when he is particularly happy and excited he will jump up. This needs to be worked on through positive reinforcement training and as he gets better, he could accidentally knock a toddler or small child down. To that end, we would prefer to place Buddy with children over the age of 6.
Buddy is a special boy with a special temperament seldom seen in dogs. He deserves only the very best most loving home!
Buddy is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. He has been wormed as well and is current on flea control.
if you feel this perfect youngster is right for your family and you have completed our application and homecheck, please feel free to email donna@indilabrescue.org to learn more.

| Cody adopted!
Meet Cody, an extremely sweet purebred male chocolate Labrador. Cody is a 4 year old boy of just about 70 lbs. He is totally trained, housebroken, and pretty much perfect except he is a little shy.
Cody
is a beautifully bred boy with a deep dark chocolate coat, a gorgeous
head and a perfect otter tail. His dew claws have been removed leading
us to believe he is an AKC breeder bred Labrador.
Cody is a very
submissive boy on the shy side who is extremely loving and affectionate
and very gentle. He is excellent with other dogs and seems fine with
kitties too.
Cody came to us from a very high kill Los Angeles
County shelter where we got him. Cody loves other dogs and will do great
with another friendly sweet dog to be his best friend.
Cody is
on the shyer, more submissive side. In moments when he is next to you
looking in your eyes and putting his head on your lap. He is a dog that
pulls at your heart strings and is so easy to fall in love with.
We
think Cody will do best in a home without little children just because
he is on the shyer side. Kids over 8 may be fine for him and he will do
best with another sweet dog or at least where someone is home much of
the time if he is an only dog. We do not wish to place him in a home
where he is an only dog alone for long hours during the work week.
Cody
is a young medium energy dog who will need his good daily exercise
before quietly laying at your feet and settling down nicely in the
house.
He would like a home that will let him ease comfortably
at his pace into his new lifestyle and not push him too hard right away
or overwhelm his as he is such a gentle soul. Once he is settled safely
into his new home, this boy will be perfection with his gentle nature
and sweetness.
Cody is a healthy boy and has such a beautiful
heart. He just wants to love and love and love. He will be a prize for
the right family who will treasure him.
Cody is very good with
other dogs but we don't wish to place him with a very dominant dog who
will overpower him. We would love to see him adopted either with his
father or into a home with a very sweet playful dog.
Cody is healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you have completed an application to adopt and been homechecked and approved, please send an email to Indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Cassie adopted!
Meet Cassie, a beautiful velvet black purebred female Labrador. This beautiful girl has a coat shiny as glass, a nice blockier head and just about the sweetest most lovely disposition of any Lab. She is gentle, kind, and pure joy to have.
Cassie is a nicely proportioned lab of medium size. Currently she is maybe just a tad on the chunky side making her even more adorable.
Cassie is a mellow girl that loves being an indoor dog. She is easy and calm in the house, doesn’t beg for food and never gets up on the furniture. She is housebroken, uses the doggie door and knows a few commands. She knows her toy box and her favorite right now is the nylabone. She lays quietly on her doggie bed waiting for you. All she wants is to please.
Honestly you would have trouble finding a more calm and easy loving Lab to share your home. Our Cassie is wonderful and we absolutely adore her!
Cassie loves to play ball and has learned to retrieve. And even though she is a mellow girl, she would also be a nice jogging companion if you jog and would love hikes and dog beach. She definitely can go if you want her to and she can settle when you want her to also.
She is currently living with a 6 year old Labby foster brother and 2 year old Labby foster sister. She has learned to be part of the pack, taking gentle corrections well. She shares her bed and toys with her foster siblings and loves being part of the Labby puppy pack!
Cassie has not been cat tested yet so we would prefer to place her in a home without kitties. And because of her size and the fact that she is still learning to never jump up on a person, she will do best with kids over 6.
Cassie is truly a house dog companion. She’s never done anything bad in the house and has had free range or her foster mommy's home even when she has been left alone for a few hours at a time. She would be good for a working family and will greet you with lots of kisses and love when you return home.
Cassie is completely healthy, recently spayed and vaccinated. She is also micro-chipped so she could never be “lost” again. Now all she needs is a family committed to her for the rest of her life.
She would make a great companion to another submissive but playful medium to large dog or as your one and only.
If you feel this loving girl is right for you, click on our applications page and submit as soon as possible. If you have already submitted your application and have had your home check, feel free to email her foster mom lori@indilabrescue.org.

| Iris adopted!
Meet Iris, the sweetest 3 year old Shih-Tzu female ever. Yes we know...she's not a Labrador, but honestly, we love this little bunny and we know our families will too.
Iris was found wandering the streets. She was shy and frightened. Knowing her now it's easy to see why because Iris is such a gentle and slightly shy girl, the street is just no where for this angel.
Iris is a very healthy, sweet, perfect girl. She is wonderful with all dogs - even big dogs - but not so great with kitties. She will bark and chase though it's unlikely she could hurt a cat. She is currently fostered with kitties and they are not afraid of her but she will bark at them. She loves people but because she is on the more shy side, we really prefer not to place her with small children.
Iris is a wonderful lap doggie, but she is also a great walking companion and friend. She is perfect for condo and apartment living, yet at the same time she would do great on a ranch! She's a small dog, but honestly hanging out with the big guys has shown that Iris really holds her own just fine thank you.
This little girl adores gentle attention. You can see in her photos that she will let you put a little hat, or bandana, or ribbon in her hair and she loves that if that is your desire. At the same time she will tough it out on the trails or get down and dirty at dog beach.
Like all Shih-Tzus, Iris is happy and makes friends easily. And a positive outcome of her unfortunate life prior to us, is that because she was NOT treasured and spoiled, she never developed "small dog syndrome" meaning she does not have human induced neurotic behavior so common in smaller dogs. She knows she is a dog, and knows you are her leader and friend and she is happy, content and secure in this.
Iris is curious and clever, alert, and packed with personality. She would love to have a friendly canine companion (big dogs more than welcome!). At the same time she will do fine as your one and only love though we think being alone all day would be a drag for her without a friend. Iris likes other dogs but honestly prefers her person to other dogs.
Iris requires a nice daily walk and good daily grooming like all Shih-Tzus. And her eyes must be kept clean since their eyes can be sensitive. Shih-Tzus do great with the "puppy cut" to keep grooming easier.
Iris is a slightly picky eater. She doesn't love dog food for instance but does great on high quality food like Orijen grain free which is economical to feed with a dog this small. Her favorite food is meat. And she loves being raw fed.
Iris is healthy, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested, spayed, has had her teeth clean, and is just wonderful.
We prefer Shih-Tzu savvy homes but are absolutely open to loving Lab families willing to have a fun little friend.
If you think this little bunny is right for your family, please be sure you complete an application and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

Mocha Boy adopted
Say hello to Mocha. A handsome 1 year old chocolate purebred Labrador Retriever. Mocha Boy is a beautiful Lab with a nice dark coat and a beautiful blocky head. He also has the most darling expressions. What a gorgeous boy. At one year he is a puppy but he is a calm boy which is so refreshing! Most puppies and young Labs are not as calm as Mocha.
Mocha Boy was found as a stray and taken to a very high kill shelter. It’s hard to believe no one was looking for this sweet and loving boy. He was so happy to have our volunteer remove him as much as we were to take him into our program. He is nothing but joy. Mocha has the sweetest personality and loves nothing more than to follow you around the house and be close to you. He follows his foster mom around the house and will lay on the floor in whatever room she is working in. Mocha loves his people.
Mocha is also wonderful with children. His foster family has two young children (ages 3 and 9) and Mocha is outstanding with them. His only weakness is toys. He is still learning which toys are doggie toys and which toys are the chilren's toys, so he needs to be given his own set of toys so he will not be tempted to take other objects in the house to play with. He also gets along beautifully with his foster family's Great Dane and has made a great friend to her. Mocha will need an owner committed to continuing with his training since he is a young boy - still a puppy at just a year. We know he is a diamond in the rough and just needs a good polish to see the gem inside. He is learning to walk on the leash without pulling and will need his pinch collar to continue his training. He is also learning to greet dogs correctly on his walks. He is not aggressive in any way but so overly happy to see other dogs that he jumps awith excitement. He is learned quickly how to properly pass dogs and not display his excitement but to just say "hi". He is doing amazingly well. Mocha is a young boy with a medium energy level. He settles down beautifully in the house if he can have his morning and evening walk. A good 45 minute walk twice a day will be perfect for him. He is learning to sit at every curb and to wait. This helps teach him patience and to not cross the street when cars are present. He loves to get verbal praise for listening and following his commands along his walks. Mocha has a beautiful brown coat of hair but his skin was flaky when his foster mom first got him. A good bath and a grain free diet has helped that. He should continue on his grain free diet to stay looking his best and feeling his best. Being able to use a doggie door was a new concept for Mocha. It took him a couple of days to learn but now uses it like a champ in order to go outside to play or go potty. Since it appears Mocha was never an inside dog, he had to learn to be house trained. He is 100% house trained at present. Mocha is not a digger or destructive in the yard. In fact, he is very aware of how much his foster mom loves her garden and he respects that. He lays by her side while she gardens and is a gem!
If you feel you can give his boy all the love and continued training he will need, please email his foster mom. Make sure you have completed your application and home inspection first before emailing his foster mom at: resq4labs@earthlink.net

| Foxy adopted!
Meet Foxy, a stunningly beautiful purebred Lab. This 3-year old purebred female is a true "Fox Red" Labrador which is pretty rare to fine, especially in a shelter considering how expensive these dogs can be. Fox Red is actually considered a yellow Lab and it is a very pretty color in Labradors.
Foxy is a very sweet, calm and easy going girl. She is a typical Lab with very nice breeding. She has a beautiful head, a nice stop, a pretty otter tail and had had her dew claws removed.
Currently this beautiful girl is a tad overweight to say the least. Foxy is a medium to petite Labby girl and should be about 65 lbs. Currently she is just shy of 80 lbs so clearly she needs a little time to shed those excess pounds. Likely her family had little time for her and so free fed her without providing any exercise. We see this a lot in rescue. Some Labs come in skin and bones from pure neglect and some come in overweight from a different kind of neglect.
Foxy is very good with people, especially the 8 year old boy she is fostered with, and she is very good with doggies too. She is currently fostered with kitties too and seems to be good with them also though we will continue to observe her to see if this is her true personality.
Foxy is a medium energy girl who is actually fairly calm. She will do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only true love. She is young and will need her daily exercise and because she is so friendly she would do great at dog park, going to work with you, or going to parks and other public places with people and other dogs.
Foxy is an unbelievably beautiful dog and her personality and heart are equally beautiful. She really deserves only the best home.
Foxy is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel this angel is right for your family, please be sure you have both completed and application and completed your homecheck. Then feel free to follow up with an email to scartersoo@mac.com to meet this gorgeous girl.

| Dina adopted!
Meet Dina, a happy, wiggly, and sweet purebred yellow female Labrador of just about 4 years old..
Dina is a darling pale yellow/white purebred with a sweet face and equally sweet disposition. She loves everyone and has a nice playful energy about her as she picks up and plays with her toys and brings them to you.
Dina is great with other dogs, both big and small, and she's good with kitties too, so she's a great choice for a family with cats! She doesn't fetch much, but is learning a little bit from her foster mom. And she rides beautifully in the car with other foster labs on outings.
Dina is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house. She is currently at a nice weight of about 65 pounds. Dina came to us from the highest kill shelter in all of California. Her life was in immediate danger when we found her and she had only just arrived. So it was shear luck we were able to save her life. This is hard to even imagine because of how beautiful and lovely this girl is. Dina came to us from a shelter in Los Angeles where there are many, many breeders and an enormous number of dogs are euthanized every year due to overpopulation. This poor girl was almost one of them.
Dina loves her people, so she will do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. She would just love a home where she will get a lot of attention and love. Dina will need her daily exercise like a good walk or dog park and then will do great settling into the house. She is completely housebroken and has nice manners - even using the doggie door already. Dina walks very nicely on leash, rarely ever pulling at all, so she really is a joy to walk. Dina loves her people so much, if you sit on the floor with her, she might just try to climb into you lap and give you lots of kisses. However, she is also really great around kids, just laying down and calmly enjoying the children's attention. Dina is a good girl in the house or car and settles nicely. Her new family will want to supply lots and lots of toys and chewy toys like stuffed toys (which she may likely enjoy tearing apart more than anything - silly girl)... and nylabones and more. This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her.
Dina is up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, current on flea control, and microchipped. She is scheduled to be spayed in a week, so her new family can adopt her and simply take her to our vet for her spay at our cost.
If you think Dina is the girl for you, please be sure to complete an application and then send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Finn adopted!
A sweet soul. A tender heart. Brave, patient, gentle, forgiving. This is Finn, a yellow Labrador Retriever with a heart of gold. Many of you have been following his story on our home page and have sent your good wishes, prayers, and financial support. We are thrilled to announce that after 7 long months in foster, Finn is finally ready for adoption!
(PLEASE SEE FINN'S VIDEO BELOW) This gorgeous specimen of a dog is about 4 years old and 82 pounds with a soft, yellow coat, light brown eyes that will melt your heart, and ears that flap like a baby elephant’s when he is super happy. Finn is good with dogs, cats, and people; however, because of his size and very strong tail, he needs to be placed in a home without children under the age of 5. He is house-trained and totally trustworthy in the house. Finn rides well in the car and is a great hanging-out buddy around the house—quiet when you are working and always ready for a snuggle! He is a real gentleman—no begging, counter-surfing, or jumping on people. He has a nice, soft mouth when taking treats. His #1 hobby is hiking, followed by butt scratches and carrying his blue stuffed octopus around by the head. Finn would do best in a family where someone is home for at least part of the day and where there is not a ton of coming and going…he would also be a fabulous addition to a dog-friendly workplace!
Homes that are ONE STORY ONLY will be considered for Finn. Finn will not be placed in any home with stairs. We are looking for a home that will be committed to Finn’s ongoing rehab. With just a little bit of support, Finn should be able to live a long, full, and healthy life. He must maintain an optimal weight and not be allowed to get fat. He needs regular, moderate exercise—nothing wild and crazy, but no couch potato-ing either! The best exercise regimen includes hiking on a regular basis and long leash walks. Just a tiny bit of effort in exchange for the joy that Finn will bring into your life. There is no more lovely or deserving dog.
Finn is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations, flea treatment, and heartworm prevention. He is currently being fostered in Marin County. Approved applicants are invited to contact Finn’s foster mom at cathy_tsao@yahoo.com.

| Enzo adopted!
Meet Enzo, a happy wiggly yellow male Lab of about 2-3 years of age. This guy is the sweetest happiest Lab ever who loves everyone and everything! Enzo is a healthy boy, although a little overweight right now. This is a very easy fix - something that limited food & exercise will fix easily & quickly! When he loses about 10 pounds, he will be at his ideal weight of about 80 pounds.
Enzo came to us from his owners who had taken great care of him. Unfortunately the health of a family member had declined and they found themselves going out of town every week & not being able to give Enzo the love and attention he so deserves. So, they contacted us & we were happy to take in this sweet, good natured, lovable boy! Enzo has a gorgeous buttery light yellow/cream colored coat and it's so soft! The best part about Enzo is his outstanding temperament! He loves attention, loves to play, loves all people and all dogs too!
Enzo is also great with cats! In fact he spent the last year or so of his life living with a kitty and he was always so gentle with her! The boy would be a great choice for a family with cats! Enzo is a young, playful Lab. He does need his daily exercise - he is great with other dogs and would love to go to dog park with you for play dates, or long walks, hiking, or even a jog here & there. Enzo will do great with another playful friendly canine companion in his new home - or as your one and only as long as you are not gone long hours every day.
Enzo is housebroken and good in the house, but of course every new dog should be watched in their new home at first. Enzo loves his toys - especially the soft, squeaky toys. He also enjoys a game of fetch too! If Enzo is super happy and wiggly and glad to see you he may try to jump. We are working on this and he is doing better. As he does know, he shouldn't jump. Enzo will do well with children over age 6, as he may be a little too wiggly for tiny toddlers. Since he is young and loves toys so much he sometimes tends to be a little Labby mouthy guy. So again, probably not the best choice for children under 6 years of age.
Enzo is very, very sweet. He is a real lover and adores all people. He likes to give kisses and lay his head in your lap. He loves being pet, and belly rubs are great too! He will even give you a nudge to keep petting him if you stop. What a lover he is!
Enzo is a very affectionate good boy with the absolute best Labby personality. He is everything we look for in our dogs! Enzo can pull on leash, as he just gets so excited to go for a walk and meet other doggies. Much of this is because he has gotten little opportunity to get good, daily exercise in the last few months due to his previous owner's situation. Enzo is best walked on a pinch collar and with a little bit of work, can become a good walker quite quickly!
Enzo is healthy, neutered, up to date on all vaccines, current on flea control and microchipped.
If you think this young, happy boy is for you, please be sure to complete an application and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Yeller adopted!
Yeller is an adorable AKC purebred yellow male Labrador of 4 years. This darling boy is just the best dog ever. He is calm, easy, and wants nothing more than to please. He is a lovely medium size of 68 pounds so just a GREAT size for a Labrador.
This stunningly handsome boy came to us from his previous owners who no longer had the time to take care of him like he deserved. He has lived with them since he was an 8 week old puppy. They were very sad to give this boy up, but knew that it was the best thing for Yeller - to ensure he found a family that has the time and love to devote to him. Yeller is great with other dogs. He is fostered with a 7 year old female lab and he gets along great with her. He can be playful at times with other dogs - enjoying a game of tug of war, but mostly he just hangs out with other dogs enjoying their companionship. Yeller will chase a ball a bit, but is not overly interested in playing fetch. Yeller does need his daily exercise, but he is a medium energy dog who does fine with a couple of walks a day, and some fun playtime in the yard. He does pretty well on leash - although he is often best walked on a pinch collar. He also enjoys his off leash hikes with his foster mom & doggie friends on some local trails and he is good off leash continually watching his foster mom and wanting to please her by being obedient and coming when called. His exceptional temperament is what makes Yeller so special.
Yeller is completely housebroken and non-destructive. He is a submissive boy who is really very calm and mellow and just loves to give and receive affection from his person! He is really a pretty gentle boy who has good house manners and fits right into any home very easily. Yeller is not a jumper, although he may jump up when he is very excited about a ball or his food. Because of this, we would prefer to place him in a home with kids over age 5. Yeller is up to date on vaccines, neutered and current on flea control.
If you think this sweet boy is the dog for you, please be sure to complete an adoption application and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Lucky 2 adopted!
Meet Lucky 2, a beautiful English stocky Bench Bred Labrador. This very nicely bred purebred boy has his dew claws removed and he has a nice blocky head and beautiful buttery color. He's a very handsome and adorable boy but his looks are really not even close to the best part of him. Lucky is the sweetest boy around.
Lucky really is Lucky. Believe it or not, this 3 1/2 year old boy had a family. They did not want Lucky or care about Lucky. Lucky periodically wandered out of their yard where he lived (he was not allowed in their home) and would go visit another family. the other family liked Lucky a lot and would give him attention and then bring him home. This went on for a couple of years until recently when thing took a turn for the worse. The neighbor who liked Lucky was driving on the freeway and saw a dog. It was Lucky!!!! Thank God Lucky was alive and not injured! The good neighbor took Lucky back to Lucky's owners who told the man they had dropped Lucky off on the freeway because he kept coming home and they didn't want him anymore.
Can you imagine? We think people like this belong in hell.
Thank goodness the good neighbor contacted us. And in no time Lucky was safely in our care and we couldn't be happier or more grateful to have him.
You would think a dog treated this way might be nasty or timid, or have some other issue. Not Lucky. Nope. Lucky is perfect. Lucky is the most loving, calm, cuddly dog around. He loves his people, loves to give you his paw or put his head in your lap, and just loves you more than you can imagine.
Lucky is wonderful with other dogs too. He's not an alpha boy. He's a calm, mellow, easy going Lab who takes things in stride. We don't know how a dog treated this badly could turn out so perfect, but hey, we aren't complaining!!!
Lucky is a special dog. We think he could be a therapy dog maybe or just a gentle companion. He definitely deserves a home with a lot of attention we think because he hasn't had that in his life and we think it's high time he got tons and tons of love.
Lucky is a calm boy but he's still young. He's a medium energy dog and won't need hours of exercise - especially as he is an English Labby, however at his age, a good 45 minute walk or so is about right each day. We also think he would love hikes, jogs or days at dog beach when you are in the mood. His gentle nature makes his a great dog for easy days or more active days depending on your mood.
He will do great with another friendly canine companion and we think he would do well with children. But he's a larger boy at about 85 stock lbs so he could easily bowl a toddler over without meaning too. His calmness will help in that department.
This boy is a house dog. No more living in the yard or spending all day in a yard while you are at work. Those days are OVER for Lucky and we absolutely won't have it. He deserve the run of the house, a doggie door, daily exercise, tons of attention, and just a good general spoiling.
Lucky is a very healthy boy. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He should be microchipped by his date of adoption but if not, his new adopter will be required to chip him and provide the info to us within the week of adoption.
Lucky is not destructive - he's a good boy in the house and settles beautifully. He will bark to alert you to his need to potty.
If you feel this amazing, wonderful creature is right for you, be sure your application and homecheck are both complete and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| St. James adopted!
Meet St. James! This boy is a
handsome purebred yellow male Labrador. He is the sweetest boy ever,
with the brown sugar eyes that speak to you every day. St. James is
quite "saintly"... he prances when he walks and he has the happiest
expressions... we think he actually smiles!
St. James is 5 year old boy and he is truly the perfect dog! He
is a great size at about 75 pounds. He has outstanding temperament and a
wonderful personality. He has found the dog bones in his foster home
and just loves them! Having some yummy nylabones or other fun doggie
bones in his new home will make him so happy.
St. James is really a pretty easy going boy. He's a medium energy
Lab who settles beautifully in the house after dog park or a good walk.
He is not destructive nor is he a barker, a digger, or trouble maker in
any way. He is actually a pretty mellow boy, not requiring more than a
nice walk in the morning and evening. However, we are sure he would
enjoy other activities like hiking, dog beach, dog park and more.
St. James is gentle and kind to little children and other dogs. He
is a medium energy boy who is perfect for the family with small
children. He is non-aggressive, perfect in the house and car, and
wonderful with all other dogs. He may be a good candidate to do therapy
work if you are so inclined - with his gentle, loving nature, he would
be a great therapy dog.. And doing so well in the car, he hops right
into the car and just sits down and enjoys the ride.
The bottom line is St. James is just wonderful.
We found St.
James sad and alone in a high kill shelter where he ended up there as a
stray. We met him, and looked into his soulful eyes and knew he needed
to come with us! He clearly spent some time in a home previously as he
is completely housebroken, non-destructive and knows his commands too!
He knows sit and down and takes treats very gently! What a great dog he
is!
This boy has never tried to get onto any piece of furniture in his
foster home. He is happy sleeping in his crate or on the floor next to
your bed. And you won't find him sneaking up onto the couch during the
day. He is a well mannered boy!
St. James is a happy and content boy. He does just fine left along
during your work day and also loves his crate! Even better, St. James
walks great on leash, so he is just a pleasure to walk! He can get
excited and a bit jumpy when you get the leash out and when you come
home from work, but it's all because he is just so happy to be doing fun
activities with his people who adore him!
St. James loves his people and loves other dogs - big and small. He
will do well with another friendly canine companion or as your one and
only true love.
St. James is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. All that's needed now is a loving forever home!
If you think this boy is the one for you, please be sure to complete an application and send an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Ramen adopted!
Meet Ramen, a darling yellow 3 year old male Labrador. This gentle mellow boy is just perfection in absolutely every way. Ramen is just about 65 lbs with a soft yellow coat and beautiful smiling face. This boy is just so special and will make the best family dog. He loves everyone and would be fabulous with children - even toddlers, although we think any Labrador can knock a toddler over without meaning to. He is great with other dogs, getting along perfectly with the dogs he is fostered with! Because he is a submissive and calm boy with outstanding doggie manners, he is just excellent with all dogs and there is never a worry of a scuffle.
Ramen is very settled in the house and seems to know quite well what toys are his and which things are yours. He is trustworthy and well behaved. Ramen is a medium energy dog. He's a young boy who will need his daily exercise, but he is calm too so he's really just the perfect mix everyone loves.
Ramen is the kind of dog you can take anywhere. He rides beautifully in the car and is a wonderful house guest so he can go with his new family to the beach, friends barbeques, and pretty much any activity as he is such a great dog who does well in almost any situation. He walks beautifully on the leash, although he can pull at times. He loves to meet and greet dogs and people and is a perfect gentleman. Ramen is a heathy boy who is crate trained & almost 100% housebroken. With just a few reminders in his new home, he will be perfect in his housebreaking in no time! Ramen is also great with the kitties in his foster home - in fact, he's a little scared of them, so we believe he would be a great choice for a family with cats!
Ramen is up to date on vaccines, neutered, current on flea control and microchipped. He is now just looking for his forever home! If you think Ramen is the boy for you, please send an email to scartersoo@mac.com

| Celia adopted!
Meet Celia, a happy and wiggly purebred female English or bench bred Labrador who is about 7 yrs old and weighs 72lbs. This beautiful bred girl is light yellow/cream in color and just perfect for the breed standard. She is truly a beautiful Lab.
It is very hard to imagine that such a stunning and perfectly behaved purebred Lab ever ended up in a shelter.
Poor Celia ended up at a local high kill shelter. One look at this girl and we knew she needed us! She came to us a little overweight and with some minor ear infections, but we have treated her ears and started her on more exercise and limited food and this girl is quickly on her way to a healthy weight and clean, healthy ears! Celia has a very sweet disposition and gets along very well with her foster doggie siblings - doggies both big and small. She is a fairly mellow girl and loves to go on her walks. She does become a little excited when the leash comes out or it is time to load up in the car. She loves, loves toys and especially tennis balls. She is so happy to have toys again that she just runs around with one in her mouth. She loves to play fetch and will find a way to carry a ball around with her wherever she goes! Celia is well trained and knows her basic commands of sit, lie down and stay. She is well-mannered in the house and car and is non-destructive and completely housebroken. What more can you ask for! A well trained, good mannered, mellow girl with some fun playful energy too! Celia loves all people and is a very submissive girl who loves to be pet and will just lay at your feet waiting for attention and belly scratches. She is also good with the kitties in her foster home, so we think she would be a good choice for a family with cats too! Celia is a healthy girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. She is now just looking for her forever home!

| Deogee! adopted!
Meet Deogee. Deogee is a beautiful, velvety, super soft, jet black gorgeous male Labrador. He is purebred, with dew claws removed and he is handsome and perfect in every way.
Deogee is a 5 year old boy of about 95 lbs. He should be 85 so you get some idea of this boys chunckiness. He is beyond adorable with his wiggly happy and gentle temperament and this guy truly is everything we love about Labs.
Deogee is gentle and kind to kitties and little children. He is a medium energy boy who is perfect for the family with small children or cats. He is non-aggressive, perfect in the house and car, and wonderful with every living creature. He may be a good candidate to do therapy work if you are so inclined.
The bottom line is Deogee is just wonderful.
Deogee came to us when his owner turned him into the shelter after loosing his home. What's particularly sad is that Deogee was clearly well cared for and an inside dog so we know his family did love and treasure him. We know this not only because of his attitude but we also have observed that he knows and uses a doggie door to go potty, knows his commands, and knows the car well. These things only happen with dogs who have lived lives where they are exposed to such things.
Deogee also came to use with sparkling clean teeth, previously neutered, and immaculate with no fleas. This is particularly unusual with shelter dogs. Almost all shelter dogs come to us filthy, underweight, knowing nothing and needing to be housebroken. Most are afraid of the car at first. Not so with Deogee.
Deogee is a happy and content boy. His foster mom has not once needed to use the crate for him. He came to his foster home as if he had always lived there.
Deogee's worst habit is that he does pull on the leash. He can really pull if he wants to. But this is easy to fix over a short period and meanwhile his new owner should absolutely use a pinch collar or haltie with him.
Deogee's new family must commit to helping him shed his few excess pounds.
Deogee is healthy, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. And of course he is close to perfect in every other way.
If you feel this boy is right for your family and you have completed your application and homecheck, please follow up with an email to jessica@limestudios.tv

Tuck is such a good boy in the house. He is just the most well behaved Lab. He doesn't even get on the furniture or go into the trash!!!

| Money adopted!
Meet money, a cuddly yellow 2 year old male yellow Labrador. This little boy is so sweet he makes people smile everywhere he goes. His current weight is about 55lbs but he should gain another 10 or so.
This boy is the perfect family dog. He'd love a yard to run in and kids to play with. He doesn't know fetch yet, but any Lab can get used to playing with the ball in no time. He gets along perfectly with all dogs and is even sweet with strangers.
As a young Lab, Money is going to need a lot of exercise. He can run for hours on end! However,
after a long morning walk or run, he will sit by your side calmly.
Sometimes even on your lap! He enjoys a bone to chew on, then will fall
into a deep sleep for hours. He is very snuggly, sweet, and well behaved.
Money is still getting used to riding in the car, but he has just realized the joy of sticking his head out the window. He rides happily, tongue hanging out. Since he gets along well with other people and dogs, you can take him anywhere. He
walks happily on a leash, and can pick up to a nice run by your side.
He is not at all aggressive and is a joy to be out about town with.
Money
is crate trained, almost 100% housebroken and good with commands. He's a
healthy, sweet, cuddly, lab just waiting to find a forever home and be
part of a real family. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, current
on flea control, and microchipped.
He is such a great dog and a cutie, his foster mom will be sad to see him go!
If you think Money is the boy for you, please complete an application to adopt and send an email to jessica@limestudios.tv

| Sadie Blue Skies adopted!
Sadie Blue Skies is a beautiful purebred English Labrador of four years.
Sadie has beautiful hazel eyes and perfect conformation. She came to
our rescue from a family who loved her but due to illness could no
longer meet her needs. Sadie came from love, is being fostered with
love, and will go to her family who will love her forever.
She loves to swim and is a powerful strong swimmer beating other Labs in reaching the pool toys. She loves her foster brother and sister labs as well as visiting labs and even a small Doxi. She would do well to have another dog in her forever home.
A pool would also be perfect for her as she has had one available to her for her whole life.
This sweet girl has light cream colored coat, with touches of cinnamon sprinkled on her ears and those hazel eyes with dark eyeliner to set them off and a chocolate nose. This love bug is also quite the ball girl, she does some amazing mouth catches and loves to run after it. She has found balls on her foster mom's property that were long lost and forgotten. When her foster mom is done playing fetch, she puts the ball away and Sadie Blue is just fine.
The family she originally lived with with had 15 grandchildren and she got along well with all of them so she may be a good candidate for families with children.
Her diet is important and she is being fed a grain free food, Taste of the wild lamb.
For her instead of soft toys just have tennis balls or something strong like a kong toy. She would do best with a work at home person or another dog to interact with. Sadie does not do well as an only dog left alone all day.
We do not know how she will do with cats, so no cats for Sadie Blue.
Sadie is spayed and up to date on vaccines.
If you feel Sadie Blue Skies is right for you, please send an email to judithcoursonburton@gmail.com

| Thatcher adoption pending
Meet Thatcher, a 2 year old purebred chocolate male Labrador who is extremely handsome! Thatcher is a yummy chocolate boy with a big block head and is currently about 10 lbs underweight at 65 lbs. He should be closer to 75 lbs. You should expect to be stopped on the street regularly while people gawk as his good looks!
Thatcher is a wonderful Labrador. He has beautiful temperament and a million lovely Lab qualities. He has all the makings of a perfect boy.
Thatcher came to us from the Pomona shelter where he was found as a stray. Missing a lot of fur and with a horrendous ear infection it was clear Thatcher was a 100% outdoor dog, had fleas and flea dermatitis, allergic to grains (like most Labs) and had an owner who allowed this to get out of control. In addition, this YOUNG dog already had pressure sores only possibly though living 100% on concrete 24 hours a day. Unreal. This boy was looking not his best to say the least and whoever owned him let him get that way. We think it's an absolute crime. The good news is through good nutrition and a little time, Thatcher will have absolutely no problems and will have the beautiful coat he is meant to have - just by eating right and living indoors.
Like most Labradors, Thatcher should not eat grain. He needs to be on a grain free food of which there are many available. His new owners may also choose to feed a raw diet. Most Labs do not do well with grain and can become allergic or get ear infections. ALL Labs do best on grain free foods and at Indi Lab Rescue none of our Labs consume grain at any time.
Thatcher is doing great, his fur it coming back in beautifully and his ear infections are being treated. In short order this stunning boy will be even more magnificent than he already is and we are counting on finding him a home that will assure us he will stay this way through a Lab appropriate diet!
Thatcher is still a puppy in many ways. He is playful, darling, loves other dogs, and has plenty of energy. He will do best with someone who will provide lots of good daily exercise, dog park and dog beach as appropriate, and maybe a hike or jog now and then. He just loves doing stuff with his person.
Thatcher is perfect on the leash and doesn't even pull. he meets other dogs nicely too. He is ok with cats, but does chase them so only homes with very dog savvy cats would be considered.
Thatcher would do fine with kids, though being ignored for so long really makes us prefer to home him somewhere where HE for a change, is the center of attention. He will do fine with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only.
Thatcher is a good and calm boy in the house once he has had his exercise. He is not destructive and rides well in the car too.
Thatcher is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, wormed, and current on flea control.
If you feel this handsome love is right for you, please be sure you have already completed and application and had your homecheck. Then please follow up with an email to jessica@limestudios.tv

| Ellie 3 adopted!
Meet Ellie! The cutest labby girl! Ellie is a 2 year old Bench Bred Black Female Lab and is so unbelievably CUTE! She’s an adorable English girl of about 70 pounds. She’s a busy, silly, happy girl, and she takes that happiness everywhere she goes and gives it to everyone who glances her way! WAG WAG WAG!
Ellie came into a tough, high-kill shelter. We couldn’t bear the thought of anything happening to her, because she’s just a perfect teddy bear of a lab. So we promptly rescued her so we could help find her a new forever home. She arrived at the shelter with another female lab - we believe the two might have been litter mates. Her sister has already found her new forever home, so now it's time for Ellie to find hers!
Ellie is having so much fun in her foster home! She loves the other dogs there - gets along great with all of them - even the little dog in the household! Ellie also loves loves to play ball, and adores her soft squeaky toys. She will even fall asleep next to her ball or toy just to make sure it's never far away - how cute she is. It will be so important for her new home to have lots of fun toys for her to play with. Ellie got a nice bath in her foster home - many thanks to her foster mom, she is now clean, shiny & smelling great! Ellie loves her people and other dogs and did very well getting lathered up for her bath. Ellie is a young, playful girl and we wouldn't want to see her as an only dog. We would love to find her a home where she will have another playful doggie companion. She would also love hikes, trips to the dog park, dog beach and much more fun stuff for a young, happy Lab! Ellie is completely housebroken and trustworthy in the house. She is learning the doggie door and in a day or two we think she will have it down! As a young girl, remember it is always best to give her good exercise before you leave her. Ellie also loves her people and loves to give kisses! She will sleep on a doggie bed in your room - or will find her way onto your bed if you allow her. Ellie can pull a bit on leash, so she is best walked on a pinch collar. With a little leash training, she can be a good walker in no time! Ellie is fostered with kitties, but these cats are very dog savvy. We do think Ellie might be inclined to chase a cat, so unless you have super dog savvy cats who have lived their life around dogs, she might not be the best choice for a family with cats. Ellie is spayed, up to date on all shots, and now just looking for her forever home!
If you think this beautiful girl is the dog for you, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Sawyer adopted!
Meet Sawyer, a 1 year old darling purebred yellow male Labrador. This cutie has the most adorable face and is a wiggle butt. He's just about 60 lbs and is a beautiful dog.
Sawyer is a youngster for sure. He is a happy guy who loves other dogs and his foster brother. He's an active boy but settles down nicely after his ball time or walk.
He's pretty good on the leash - doesn't pull too much - and loves his walks. His main issue walking is that he gets too excited meeting other dogs. He wants to meet them so bad and he will bark and try to get to them to say hello. He just needs to learn to be a little calmer. He WILL get to meet and say hi, so no need for all the excitement! But he is young and needs to learn.
He would love a family to take him to dog park or dog beach to play with other dogs and have a good time. And he loves to cuddle too so a new owner who love kisses, cuddles, and just general Labby love would be perfect.
Sawyer also seems ok with cats. He sort of ignores them when he has met cats. he is not fostered with a cat though so he could chase a cat in the house, but in general he seems pretty disinterested.
He will do best we think with another friendly canine companion if you are to be gone all day. He loves other dogs and is submissive to them. He would do fine also as your one and only but he's a little young to be alone all day for long, long hours.
Sawyer is a good boy in the house and car and loves going for a ride. If he gets too excited about the ride though he will try to ride up front by you, so he travels best in the back seat on a doggie seatbelt or tied in. He's getting it though and on a recent ride he hopped right in the back and laid down like a good boy.
Sawyer is a beautiful purebred with so many good points. He will be a fabulous dog. He would do best with some basic obedience training like all young Labs should have.
Sawyer would love kids of course because he is such a typical happy Labrador. But at just about a year (maybe 1 1/2) we think he's just too much for toddlers and kids under 7. Not to mention parents with young children simply do not have the time to exercise or train young Labs. It requires dedication and commitment and with toddlers or youngsters, parents have enough on their plate. We would like Sawyer to get more attention than that.
We think this is a pretty special boy. With some work on leash skills and meeting other dogs while on lead calmly, this boy will be the complete package. His temperament is solid, and he is a total love who wants to please. Plus he is drop dead gorgeous.
Sawyer is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel you have the dedication, time, patience and commitment for this truly handsome purebred fellow, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org.

| Daisy Girl adopted!
Meet Daisy Girl, a very special female purebred yellow Labrador Retriever. The flower symbolism associated with the daisy is purity, innocence, loyal love, beauty, patience and simplicity. Our Daisy is all that! Daisy is an active wonderful 10 year old senior Lab with so much love and life in her. All she needs is a chance!
This very sweet girl was a shelter staff favorite. They felt that this loving senior deserved a home where she could rest her head, so the shelter alerted Indi Lab Rescue and Daisy was scooped up quickly and is safe in her foster home!
Daisy appears to be approximately ten years old and based on the thickness of her coat, she was an outdoor dog. After a good bath and grooming, she cleaned up well! Her thick Otter tail will rival any show dog! She has a stockier build and could stand to lose a few pounds. She will need a healthy grain free diet with some dietary supplements to keep her joints healthy.
Daisy is a well-mannered wiggly yet very mellow Lab. She gives gentle kisses to show her gratitude and smiles at you constantly to say "thank you for bring me home!". Her foster mama has not heard her bark yet but she sure can wiggle and warm your heart.
Daisy enjoys a mellow walk around the block or a nice outing to the dog park where she has many friends and admirers. She does not pull on the leash and is a pleasure to stroll with. Daisy loves to socialize with other dogs and would do well with a mid to low energy canine companion or as your one and only true love. Her current foster Labby siblings seem to show deference to her as if to acknowledge her graceful maturity and everyone gets along just beautifully!
We don’t know how Daisy is with cats, but given her true gentle and calm nature, she would probably be fine. She has a quiet playfulness about her, and will retrieve toys at her own senior pace. This gentle girl loves everything about life in true Labby fashion.
She is house broken and non-destructive in the house. She will spend a good part of her day snoozing but it will be important for her to have gentle daily exercise and a comfortable bed to lay on. She rides well in the car and appreciates just a little help jumping in thank you!
Daisy would be a great Lab for a retired human, or a person who is looking for an easy, gentle and mellow, loyal dog, someone with whom she could live out her golden years. She would be the perfect companion to sit by your table at an outdoor café or lay at your feet while you watch a movie or use the computer. What a wonderful companion she is.
A house with lots of stairs, small children or high activity would be too much for this gentle soul.
Daisy is a healthy, happy Labby girl. Like many older Labbies, she has a fatty lipoma on her shoulder which doesn't seem to bother her and should not present a problem. However all lipomas should be watched and if it should bother Daisy her new family may want to remove the lump later on.
Daisy is spayed and up to date on shots, and ready for her forever home. Won't you consider a special senior to share your love with?
To learn more about Daisy, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt, then feel free to email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Ariel adopted!
Meet our sweet, happy girl Ariel, a young 1-1/2 year old, 80 lb yellow purebred Labrador Retriever. This pretty girl is just now coming available for adoption after enduring a very, very hard time. We couldn't be happier to bring this lovely sweetheart to the adoptable list so she can finally find her forever home.
Our shelter volunteer spotted Ariel at an LA area animal shelter. When her owners didn't come for her, we immediately brought her into rescue. Unfortunately at these shelters, there are yucky diseases floating around and when a dog is not properly vaccinated, the stress of the environment can take over and the dogs suffer. Ariel started out having signs of kennel cough in her foster home and we immediately treated her with antibiotics but it quickly turned into something much worse. She was admitted into the hospital with a serious case of double pneumonia. She spent 5 days in critical care on IV's. We were told by one vet she wasn't going to make it. But with positive thoughts and a change in hospitals, we didn't give up without a fight and neither did she. Ariel pulled through and is feeling so much better now! Ariel is a large solid girl that is quite capable of jumping a 5 ft wall. We think she's just curious for she has been confined for weeks now and is ready to go out and explore. For this reason she will need a minimum of a 6ft fence in her yard. She wouldn't do well being left in a yard anyway for she is a companion dog - very social and touchy. She loves to follow you from room to room. She gives amazing kisses and paws for loves.
When Ariel is happy she grabs a toy, rolls on her back and scratches back and forth. She loves her toys. But they need to be the strong ones, she's can shred a soft stuffed toy in 5 seconds flat. What else would you expect from this big puppy? And by the way, squeaky balls just might be her favorite!
Ariel is a medium energy girl that will need exercise and not the dog park kind - although she's a fast retriever. She's more of a hike kinda girl or nice long walk kind of girl. Ariel would even be a nice jogging partner.
Ariel knows her basic commands like sit, down, stay and even paw. She is completely housebroken and knows how to use the doggy door but doesn't need one. Ariel is good with her foster brother and should do well as your one an only girl, or with a friendly submissive companion.
We do not know how Ariel will do with cats, so we prefer not to place her with them.
Ariel is spayed, micro-chipped, current on all vaccines, treated with Frontline and ready for her forever home.
If you think Ariel might be the one for your home, please be sure to complete an application and once you have been approved, then send a follow up email to lori@indilabrescue.org.

| Carver adopted!
This is Carver! He is just a wonderful dog. He is a 3 year old male black Lab who has big sweet eyes and an even bigger heart! He is a good size for a male Lab at about 85 pounds. Carver was picked up as a stray so we know little about his past. He came to us with a few scrapes but he has healed well and looks to be in perfect health. He gets along with other dogs fabulously and loves people. He is fostered with another female black lab and they got along great. They became fast friends and play together quite a bit. Carver has a mild temperament and loves attention. He loves to play fetch and play with toys and likes to chew on a nice doggie bone too. He enjoys playtime and requires medium exercise but is also happy to cuddle up next to you and just relax. When he's tired, he's happy to just rest his head right on you and it is just adorable! Carver knows how to sit and is eager to learn more. This gentle giant would make a great family dog or really a great companion to anyone. He is really a very special dog. He is also treat motivated, so teaching him more will be very easy! Carver is the type of sensitive soul that could fill anyone's heart with love. He is simply the sweetest, most kind doggie in the world. He will gently lay his head on your lap and look up at you with his soulful eyes. Carver also gives his foster sister kisses and let's her lead the way. He's both cuddly and comforting. He's the kind of dog, that with training, could become an excellent therapy dog. Carver can pull on leash a little bit, so he is learning in foster, that it's best to walk with his leader. He can also get really excited when he sees people on his walks & will bark with excitement. Carver is just so easy to train that the possibilities for him are endless. Carver would be great as your one and only dog provided he is not left alone for long work hours every day, as he really does enjoy the company of his people. He would also make a great doggie companion and would also be a good playful companion to another dog. However, if he is a doggie companion, he would probably be best with another submissive or medium tempered dog - Carver might simply just be bullied around by a dominant dog and we would hate for that to happen to him every day in his forever home. Sensitive souls should only apply for this guy...no harsh training for him. He responds so well to direct and kindly stated commands. We do not know how Carver will do with kitties, so we will not look to place him in a home with cats at this time. Carver is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
If you think this boy is for you, please be sure to complete an application and then send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Nichols adopted!
Meet Nichols, an absolutely adorable1 year old yellow male Labrador. Nichols has a light yellow/cream colored coat, and is a nice smaller size for a male Lab at about 65 pounds, and at a perfect weight. This beautiful purebred boy has the most friendly, happy disposition and really loves every person and every dog. Nichols loves to play and go for his walks too, but mostly he loves you!
Nichols is learning his basic commands and is a smart boy who loves to please. As a youngster his new family will want to continue to work with him and teach him. Nichols tends to pull on a leash a bit as he loves to get going on his walk more than anything in the world! An easy fix as he continues to go for his walks. He would do just beautifully on a gentle leader.
His new family may want to consider a basic obedience class with Nichols since he is still young and wants to be such a good boy. He would be fabulous in class as he is so perfect with other dogs.
This cute, healthy, young Labrador will need his daily exercise like any young Lab. He should do a nice walk everyday and would love hikes or trips to the dog park as well. And he loves playing fetch too! What a good Labrador! Nichols settles beautifully in the house once he has had his exercise. At a year of age, he is really just beginning to be an adult since Labs are puppies for 2 full years - so he cannot be expected to settle nicely without his exercise first!
Nichols is completely housebroken! He is mostly a submissive boy who gets along well with every dog, small or big! He loves to play - and can even be seen playing with small Chihuahua, or a large male labbie! Nichols seems to like kids a lot but like any young Labby he can knock a toddler down. Nichols will do great as an only dog, or with a friendly doggie companion for company. He can definitely entertain himself with his dog bones & dog toys which he loves. Nichols is a little too playful and curious about cats so no kitties for him at this time.
This is a very happy Lab adolescent. He has all the makings of growing into a fabulous adult dog! He loves to give kisses to his people & you will sometimes find him trying to crawl into your lap as he just loves his person! Oh, and he is a great car rider too! Just sits down and enjoys the ride. Nichols is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this happy youngster is right for you, please be sure you have been homechecked and approved and then follow up with an email to scartersoo@mac.com

| Idaho adopted!
Meet Idaho! Idaho is a beautiful girl. She is an English yellow female of 5 years. Idaho is a white girl with a nice stocky body and otter tail. She is beautifully bred and has a personality and temperament that are equally as perfect.
Idaho was owned by a show breeder who purchased Idaho to enter her into her existing breeding program. Most show and breeding Labs live their entire lives in kennels and Idaho did not kennel well. She became depressed and would not breed in that situation. Luckily the breeder surrendered Idaho to us. Now she can have a loving home and never have to live in a kennel.
This little girl is slightly overweight at 72 lbs. She really will do better at 65 lbs. especially because she has some slight arthritis already due to living in a kennel with very little exercise and lots of weight gain. However Idaho LOVES her walks and is already losing weight and building muscle.
Idaho is just adorable on a walk. She starts wiggling the second she sees the leash and doesn't stop. She greets everyone on leash beautifully, passing other dogs calmly and smiling the entire time. Idaho currently walks for about 45 minutes a day and a little longer on the weekends. She doesn't pull on the leash and is just a pleasure to handle.
Her foster mom has taken her on a few shorter hikes (2 miles or less) and she loves it on the trails. She stays right with you off her leash. But she needs some help getting in the car as that is new to her. Before long she will be used to it.
Idaho is completely housebroken and not destructive in the house. But she will tear up a soft toy from time to time after carrying it around adorably.
She is fostered with 3 other Labbies and a kitty. She is wonderful with them all and is absolutely perfect with cats. She really has no prey drive and is extremely gentle making her the best choice for families with cats.
Idaho is a very special and beautiful girl. She will do best in a home with lots of attention and not too much alone time as we want her to have a spoiled life after living so long in a kennel. She will do great with another friendly canine companion.
Idaho has been spayed and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
If you feel this happy perfect girl is right for you, be sure you are already approved to adopt and then feel free to send an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Grayson adopted!
Meet Grayson, the sweetest and most beautiful Weimaraner puppy around. This beautiful boy is such a good boy with a wonderful heart and calm easy disposition.
He is 10 mos old and has lovely temperament. At about 75 lbs, he still has some growing to do! Grayson is a gentle boy who is beautifully bred and will be the perfect size for a handsome male Weimaraner when he is full grown.
Grayson is a true lover. He really loves his people and is such a good boy in the house. He is obedient and wants to much to make his people happy, and he is learning his commands. All he wants to do it please his person and he loves to be close and by your side.
He is wonderful in the car, although he is still getting used to getting IN the car, he is good in the house, at dog park, and really just anywhere you want to take him. He loves to go on errands with his person or is just as happy to stay home with his doggie pals.
Grayson is fitting in beautifully in his foster home where he gets along wonderfully with all the other dogs he is fostered with including other Weims. He is good with other dogs and he is even good with cats so he is a great choice for families with kitties.
Because Grayson is still a puppy himself, and doesn't really know his size, we prefer he only be placed with older children. Grayson is a medium energy calm dog. He will need and will enjoy his good daily exercise and then he will settle perfectly in the house. He has lovely house manners and is 100% housebroken.
Although Grayson is a mellow boy for a puppy, he also has lots of spunk if you feel like a hike too. He will go with the flow. If you are in the mood for a hike or jog he's right their with you. Or if it's a rainy day and you want to curl up under the blankets, Grayson will be by your side. He is the perfect mix of easy and fun and blends right in.
Grayson is a very healthy happy boy who just wants to be a best friend. You really couldn't do better than to have the love of this fellow. And in return, Grayson will give you such loyalty and love.
Grayson is a very healthy sound boy who has been neutered and microchipped and he is up to date on vaccines.
This cat, dog, and people friendly Weimaraner is a true family companion for that family blessed enough to call him theirs. He will do best with a family who will take him out for a nice walk each day and maybe some weekend outings.
Grayson will do best in a home with another friendly canine companion to keep him company if you are away long hours. Or he would do great as your one and only if you are not gone super long days. Most Weims are real companion dogs and don't love life left alone all day. They can get lonely and bored and are happiest with a friend.
If you would like to meet Grayson, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Bowden adopted!
Meet Bowden! What an adorable, cheery man. Bowden is a 6-7 year young, healthy, active and happy purebred male chocolate Labrador who loves swimming, hiking, retrieving, and best of all cuddling.
Bowden came to us from the highest kill shelter in the state of California. His owner turned him in saying they were moving and Bowden had to go. We really don't get it. This guy is amazing. And to take a dog this perfect to the highest kill shelter is just beyond any understanding. It took Indi Lab about 3 seconds to know Bowden was coming home with us.
Bowden is just about 65 lbs and is more on the English side. He is a great size and has a nice blocky head and adorable goofy expression to go with his adorable personality. His coat is a little dry right now but will be is a nice chocolate color and thick and healthy. He's been outside we think for sometime and his coat could use a break from that.
If not for a bit of grey on his yummy chocolate muzzle you would never in a million years guess this boy's age. He is sound as the day is long, wiggly, energetic and healthy as can be. Bowden has plenty of good happy energy and loves nothing more than retrieving. He loves to fetch a ball or stick and he doesn't care if the "stick" is a tiny branch either. He will still pick it up and look at you wagging, wiggling and making you crack up at his adorableness.
He loves going on hikes - and loves swimming. He basically loves being in nature - especially with the other dogs. He is a great hiking or walking companion and when it's safe, he does not even need a leash as he stays with you and comes on command.
Bowden knows his commands of "sit", "down", "shake", "drop it" and "stay". He may know other commands too, but these are evident. He is a good boy in the house and car and he really wants to please.
Bowden loves other dogs - all of them - and loves all people too. He is not a dominant dog and has no aggression at all - just happiness. Bowden makes you smile.
Bowden is a good boy on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. But he can pull hard at times and does really well on a pinch collar or gentle leader. He doesn't always pull though. He is great at dog park, meeting and mingling with the other dogs. And he will fetch his ball for you for as long as you feel like throwing it so giving him exercise is easy.
Bowden is a very healthy and young 6-7 year old. He definitely will make a great walking companion. And we think he would even enjoy a hike now and then on the weekend. He is medium energy boy perfect for dog beach, doing fun things, or just being your best buddy.
Bowden would do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only.
Bowden is cat curious so should only be considered for homes with very dog savvy cats and owners who understand the dynamic. He is good with cats, but he will do best with cats who can hold their own. He will do fine with children but is too mouthy for children under age 7.
Bowden is a healthy boy who is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is also wormed and current on flea control.
If you feel this darling wiggler is right for you, please complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Keno adopted!
Are you looking for that perfect puppy? Meet Keno, a 8 month old labby boy that’s just sure joy to have around. Our foster can’t say enough about how much he loves this yellow wiggly ray of sunshine. Keno was found in a remote known “dumping ground” for discarded dogs up in the San Bernardino Mountains. Yes this does still happen and thankful after 5 hours of not giving up, a volunteer was able to save Keno so he wouldn’t have to spend another night in those scary mountains. Keno has been in foster care for about a month now acclimating to what a dog’s life should be like. He was found extremely underweight, every rib showing. He has gained almost 10 lbs thanks to the TLC and home cooked meals. Keno has the sweetest face. Just look into those dark eyes and you can see the soul of a survivor not willing to give up. Keno has a crook in his tail. This is most likely a result of a break and obviously never looked after by a vet. We have seen this before. Rest assured that this doesn’t affect the happy wag he expresses when you look at him. Keno loves children and would be great with little ones for he doesn’t jump up at all. In fact, he is fond of a set of triplets just two years old. He is completely gentle with them, kissing their hands and letting them pet him. Keno is great with other dogs and cats. He especially likes smaller dogs. He has a small terrier buddy that he lays down to eye level, wags his tail, and starts moving his paws around as to say "let’s play down here." With cats, he lays down on the floor wagging his tail gently pawing at them to play. Never mouthy and won’t chase them either. Keno is housebroken, crate trained, and overall great in the house. He will sit right by your side quietly just enjoying the company. Not bad for a puppy his age. Keno enjoys walking on a leash now never pulling and walks right by your side. He is still afraid of diesel trucks and motorcycles but given where he was dumped and not knowing how long he was wondering the highway, it’s a no wonder why those are scary noises. Keno now weighs 50 lbs and is still growing. The vet said he’s very healthy. He will be neutered this week now that he’s of healthy weight. Keno will also be micro chipped and up to date on all vaccinations.
It’s time for Keno to go into his forever home and be someone’s beloved companion. If you are interested in meeting Keno, make sure you fill out an application first then send an email to lori@indilabrescue.org.

| Squeeze adopted!
Introducing Squeeze! Squeeze is an adorable fluffy Labradoodle of 2 years. He is just darling and such a nice sweet boy!
Squeeze is about 55 lbs and a great size. He is a buttery yellow Labradoodle and has the best qualities of a Lab with the added niceness of no shedding! Yippee!
He is wonderful with people, dogs and even cats. He is really just the nicest boy around.
This cutie came to us from a local shelter where he was found as a stray. Hard to believe given the cost of these dogs, but it seems no once came for him and so this boy was left all alone.
Our volunteer met and fell in love with Squeeze instantly and so he came home with us where he has been enjoying his time in his foster home with several other dogs and kitties.
Squeeze is a young boy of medium energy. He will love his daily exercise and trips to dog park or dog beach. But he will also do nicely settled in the house afterward.
He will do wonderfully with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. But we would love to see him with a friend if he is to be alone all day while his family is at work.
Squeeze is a good choice for families with cats though remember he is fostered with dog savvy cats now. Any cat can be afraid of a new dog and any dogs - even cat friendly dogs - can chase a kitty from time to time.
This adorable boy has the very best qualities of the Labrador Retriever with the added benefit of no shedding and being hypoallergenic!!! What a deal! And he is super cute to boot! You can't go wrong with this doll baby.
Squeeze is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel Squeeze is right for your family and you have completed your application had your homecheck, please email IndiWeimGirl@aol.com to learn more.

| Becca adopted!
Meet Becca, a lovely purebred yellow
female Labrador. This 2 year old girl is about 60 pounds and is a lovely
combination of playful energy and nice indoor mellowness, not to
mention very, very pretty! She is a light cream color and has a lovely
coat.
She is still a young Lab at age 2 and loves her daily exercise, but
she is the perfect mix of fun and easy. She walks fabulously on leash,
never pulling, so she makes a great walking partner! She would also
enjoy hiking, dog park or dog beach and perhaps even a game of fetch.
Becca ended up at a high kill shelter just outside Los Angeles.
When we heard about her, we became very worried about what would happen
to her as the shelter is overcrowded and understaffed. So we rushed
right down and she immediately came home with us!
Becca is a very sweet, medium energy girl. She can be playful
and even likes to play fetch, however she also settles down beautifully
after her walk or trip to the park. She just loves her foster home
with her 3 doggie siblings and 2 cats. She galavants all around making
lots of play friends and happily prancing around with a toy in her
mouth. She is really just a joy.
Becca is wonderful with other dogs and very good on the leash. We
think Becca will do fine with another friendly canine companion as she
is wonderful with the 2 Labs and smaller dog she is fostered with.
Although we think she would likely do fine as an only dog as well.
Becca is also fabulous with the kitties she is fostered with, so she
is a great choice for a family with cats! Even the kitties in her
foster home are smitten with Becca - they come to her for attention and
companionship.
Becca is not destructive in the house, and settles very well.
Although she can be found carrying around your favorite clothing item
in her mouth. Whether a sock or a t-shirt, she won't chew it up, but
her foster mom has lovingly called her the clothing thief in the
household. Becca is also a very good girl in the car and just lays down
while you drive. She seems to enjoy car rides.
Becca takes treats very gently and is not jumpy or mouthy, so she
would likely do well in a home with or without children. Although keep
in mind any playful Lab can knock over toddlers so we will be placing
her in a home where children are over the age of 5.
Becca does know her command of sit & down - mostly when you have
a treat in your hand. When out on walks she needs the gentle reminder
of a small push on her bottom to sit. She really wants to please, so
she will be even more perfect in no time!
Becca is spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped.
If you think Becca is the girl for you and you have completed your application and homecheck, please follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Amanda adopted!
Meet Amanda, a happy, wiggly, and sweet yellow female Labrador of just about 1-2 years old and about 65 pounds.
Amanda is
a darling pale yellow girl with a lovely disposition. She loves
everyone and has a nice playful energy about her as she picks up and
plays with her toys and brings them to you. She can also be found
playing by herself - tossing squeaky toys in the air & chasing after
them. She really does enjoy the doggie toys in her foster home.
Amanda came to us from a high kill shelter where we met her and
witnessed her running around the play yard - playing with lots of other
dogs big and small. After we met her, we knew she was coming home
with us
Amanda is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime,
but also settles down very nicely in the house. She does like to play
fetch - although she still thinks it's fun to play "keep away" once she
has the ball, so she is learning to bring the ball back and drop it.
Amanda does very well with other dogs including a female Lab of 8
years old and a male Lab of 6 years old that she is fostered with. They
all get along great. She is a playful girl, and really likes to give
the female Lab lots of kisses.
Amanda will do great in a home with another friendly canine
companion or as your one and only. Most importantly, she would love a
home where she will get daily exercise and some fun playtime. She walks
very well on leash, rarely pulling, so she is a pleasure to walk. She
might also make a good jogging partner if you are so inclined.
Amanda is completely housebroken and knows her house manners. She
knows her basic commands of sit, down and come. She also takes treats
very gently - what a good girl! Of course like any Lab, if you leave
food on your counter and the dog unsupervised, she could possibly be
seen with two paws on the side of the counter.
We do think Amanda will do well around children, but because she is
a wiggly girl and can be jumpy when she gets excited, she would do best
in a home with children over age 5.
Amanda is also a great girl in the car - hopping right in and
settling down for the ride. She is easy to take with you wherever you
go. This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her.
We do not know how Amanda will do with kitties, so we will not look to place her in a home with cats at this time.
Amanda is up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped. She will be spayed this week and then be ready for adoption. If you think this is the girl for you, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Cydney adopted!
Meet Cydney, a stunning and extremely well bred black female English Labrador. This 6 year old black beauty is on the petite side and is a shorter stockier Bench Bred girl with a beautiful block head.
Cydney is a very special dog. She has lived a charmed and beloved life with her owner, an older woman who recently became too ill to live on her own and Cydney had to be given to rescue. Cydney was originally in the Guide Dogs program to become a service dog to the blind, however after training she was released from the program and adopted by her loving owner.
Losing her home was a tragic thing for this amazing loving and gentle creature yet she is adjusting beautifully to her foster home and loves the company of the other dogs and cats there. Her calm and easy going nature helps her fit right in almost anywhere.
Cydney is wonderful with all dogs and cats so a great choice for families with kitties. And although she is extremely calm and easy, she can also turn it on at dog park playing with other dogs and enjoying a game of fetch which she loves. She will also enjoy long walks and hikes when you are in the mood.
Cydney is wonderful with people too and adores her foster parents who she follows everywhere. She loves nothing more than attention and belly rubs. She will lies down and offer you her belly to let you know she wants all your love. As much as Cyndey loves people, she was not raised with children and has always been in an adult home which she seems to enjoy so we will not be placed Cydney with children under 13. After all she is 6 years old and has lost her owner, a single older quiet woman who was her constant companion. We will not ask Cydney to now adjust to the loud world of children.
Cydney is an extremely social dog and loves being around people, older kids and other dogs. She is the kind of dog you can take anywhere with no problem and everyone will compliment you on how well behaved she is! She simply wants to be around humans and other dogs every chance she gets. Cydney does enjoy food and is a bit chubby. However, with regular daily exercise, and a limited food intake, she will lose the pounds very quickly. Cyndey loves her trips to dog park. It is a big highlight for her. She loves seeing and playing with other dogs and meeting their owners. Her new home will have to commit to doing this with her as it is so much fun for her.
Cydney is well trained! She knows her commands, comes when you call, and pays close attention to what you say and do. She is also very smart and learned to use the doggy door very quickly. She is completely housebroken and is also non-destructive when left alone with another dog. We do not think Cydney will do well as an only dog left alone during the day. After all her owner was with her constantly. She does fine left alone with other dogs in her foster home so a home with another friendly canine companion would be lovely.
All she wants and needs right now is the perfect forever home that will give her lots of love, attention and belly rubs. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccines and is micro chipped.
If you are interested in adding Cydney to your family, please email her foster mom at nmchristopher@gmail.com

| Chopsticks adopted!
Wow! It is not often we get a dog that looks like this. This is one beautifully bred Labrador!
Meet
Chopsticks, a beautiful purebred female Labrador of 2 years.
Chopsticks is a gorgeous English bench bred girl with a glossy black
coat and a nice show-quality block head - just what we love to see in a Labrador and seen so rarely in the females. What a beauty!!
This
girl is 2 years old and is a slightly chubby bunny needing to shed just
a few pounds. But this healthy girl will be just fine in short order
with good limited food and good daily exercise. Until then there is more
Chopsticks to love!
Chopsticks came to us from a loving home
where her owner died. She has always been loved and treasured so we hope to find this for her again as she really is quite exceptional.
Chopsticks is wonderful with all dogs - even the tiniest ones and all people, she can be a
little too wiggly for toddlers as she is a big wiggly, happy Labrador! We would prefer to place her in a home with kids over age 5.
Chopsticks
is a very good energetic girl who settles nicely in the house after
she has had her exercise - but being only 2, she requires a lot of exercise! This is a typical young Lab after all so lots of swimming, jogging, and the like. She is still a young Lab and loves a
nice walk, dog park, and other fun activities like playing fetch in the
yard each day.
Chopsticks loves the water!!! And she is a
fabulous and adorable swimmer! She looks like a darling Sea Lion
coasting about the pool when she is give permission to swim. She would love to visit friends with a pool now and then or go to dog beach to swim.
This youngster also could use a little training. She does very well with most things but really would benefit from a nice obedience class with her new owner. And this is a great way to bond with a new dog!
Chopsticks gets along
beautifully with other dogs. She is absolutely wonderful with even the tiniest of dogs too. She has many doggie friends and just loves the
male Lab she is fostered with. The two share toys well and play ball
together. Chopsticks is completely housebroken & uses the
doggie door at her foster home. She also rides well in the car -
hopping right up to enjoy the ride. Chopsticks can pull a bit on
leash at the beginning of her walk, but in minutes walks right near you. She loves going for walks and greats everyone with the classic Labby wiggle and smile. Chopsticks knows her basic commands too! We do not know how Chopsticks will do with kitties, so we will not look to place her in a home with cats at this time. Chopsticks is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If
you feel Chopsticks is the one for you, please be sure you have
completed an application to adopt, had your homecheck and follow up with
an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Butterscotch adopted!
Meet Butterscotch, a 1 year old darling female Labrador puppy in a big goofy adorable body. Her foster mom loves this girl and thinks she is just the best puppy around!
Butterscotch (or Butters as we call her) is just a baby in many ways, she is an adorable girl who has a lot to learn yet is very calm for a youngster most of the time. This gorgeous girl is a dudley - meaning she has a liver colored nose and liver eyeliner similar to what is seen in chocolate Labs. Her coat is a beautiful strawberry blond and she is just a very pretty girl turning heads wherever she goes.
This beauty is calm for a puppy for sure and she crates beautifully making her a pretty easy puppy to have for the most part. That said she IS a puppy meaning when the opportunity arises she will enjoy munching on a shoe, a remote control, or whatever else is handy, interesting or not put away as it should be. And as we always try to remember... anytime a puppy does this it is OUR fault not theirs! After all, puppies need to learn what is ours, what is theirs and what is acceptable.
Butters loves all people and all other dogs. She is a very submissive girl who will roll on her back for almost anyone. She is adorable at play in her puppy playbow and being young and tall and lanky, she looks adorable frisking about. She is a very tall girl and though she is only 65 lbs now, she will easily grown into a 90 lb adult in the next year.
Since Butters will be a big girl, it's important that her new family continue the training she is getting in her foster home. This should be no problem for the committed family since Butters is such an easy going girl.
Butters is simply too big for toddlers. She will do fine with children but honestly she will for sure go after all of their toys so that must be considered.
She loves to play with the kitty she is fostered with. However this is a very dog savvy cat. She will just scare most families who are overprotective with their cats so we will not look to place her in a kitty home unless the cat and the family have a true understanding of dog/cat behavior and relationships. Until then Butters and her kitty friend Molly enjoy chasing and playing with each other.
Butters will do best in a home where someone is home a lot and will take her to dog park or provide her lots of play time with other dogs or with their other dog if they have one. She is too young to be left alone all day.
Butters is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel you have a committed puppy home and would love a mellow, dopey, yet full on puppy girl, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Betsy adopted!
Meet Betsy, a petite purebred female Labrador! Betsy is jet black and on the smaller size. She is a very pretty girl with just the sweetest disposition. Betsey weighs 56 lbs and she is just about 4 years old.
Betsy is wonderful with all other dogs and all people. She gets along with everyone. She is mildly curious about cats and may chase so families with cats won't work unless the cats are very dog savvy.
Betsy loves, loves, loves to retrieve. She will go for the ball for as long as you are willing to throw it and she is very good at dropping it for you too.
Betsy is a calm, mellow dog when she is not on a walk or playing fetch. However at times she really wants to keep retrieving so you need to take her ball or toy away to settle her down. Within a few moments she is completely relaxed and at your feet.
Betsy is good in the house and car and is non-destructive and completely housebroken. She seems fine left alone with the other dogs. Obviously we cannot say how any of our foster dogs will do alone all day without other dogs since all foster homes have dogs keeping each other company, but Betsy seems to do fine when her foster mom is out for a bit.
Betsy loves toys! She loves playing fetch in the yard or entertaining herself with all the different toys in the toy basket.
She is a great car rider too. She hops right up and in though at times needs to be reminded to stay in the back seat!
Betsy is wonderful on leash and passes dogs nicely. She also knows her basic commands of sit, stay and down.
It's really almost impossible to believe this perfect little purebred Labrador was pulled by Indi Lab from one of the highest kill shelters in the state. She was found as a stray and no one claimed her. Meanwhile she is just about perfect in every way.
She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel Betsy is right for you, please be sure you have been approved and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org
