| Little Lacy adopted!
Meet Lacy! Lacy is the cutest little petite black Labrador in the whole world! This smaller perfect purebred is only about 55 lbs and is as sweet as sugar!
Lacy is a young active and playful Labby of just about 2-3 years of age. She is a very happy girl who loves all other dogs and all people.
Lacy has plenty of wonderful energy and adores chasing the ball. She loves her ball more than anything. In fact she will toss it for herself and play on her own! She also loves her time at dog park and likes being on the beach with other dogs. She is playful and loves playing with her foster sibling and other dogs she sees during the day.
Lacy is not so great with kitties. She is cat curious so we will not place her with cats.
Lacy will do best in a home that is up for an active darling purebred girl. She settles very nicely in the house after playtime, but she definitely needs her playtime. She will do best with someone who will take her to do something fun like dog park every day.
She will for sure do her best with another friendly and playful dog to keep company with unless someone is home during the day to take her to dog park or dog beach.
Lacy will not be her happiest as an only dog left alone all day with no company. It would be boring and lonely for her and she deserves a much more fun life than that!!!
Lacy also likes jogging with her foster mom and is a great walking companion.
She is a pretty perfect mix of energetic puppy and cuddlebug mellow girl when home.
Lacy is a mouthy Lab and could really use some work on taking treats more gently. She loves getting treats! Because of this we will not be placing her with any children under age 8.
Lacy is amazing in the car and loves her car rides. She settles down beautifully and especially is nice with other dogs in the car.
This is a very adorable smaller sized girl who has the best heart and cutest ever look. Whichever person or family adopts Lacy will get the best dog ever.
Little Lacy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and micrcohipped.
If you feel Lacy is right for you and you have completed your application and been approved, please follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Jolie adopted!
Meet our
beautiful Jolie who is a happy go lucky purebred yellow female Labrador Retriever. What a darling, pretty girl!!!
Her
thick yellow coat is so soft. The Shelter aged her to be just two. But we think
she could even younger for she acts like a well trained puppy with a lovely calm disposition.
Jolie rides well
in the car and just has the most outstanding temperament. For being a stray left in the desert shelter,
she has shown no problems and we just can’t imagine why no one came to claim
her. Jolie loves ear rubs, belly rubs
and sits beautifully for treats.
Jolie came
to foster already housebroken with great house manners and she doesn’t even
bark. She’s curious and alert but knows
when to be a good girl. Jolie likes lying
at her foster mom’s feet while she works.
But when it’s time to go outside, she will find a toy or ball to urge
you to play. She’s really fast at catch
but still learning to release. Labs at this age need a lot of stimulus or they
can get into trouble. She would love a toy box filled with squeakers, balls,
kongs, nylabones and stuffed animals.
Jolie is
recovering from kennel cough but otherwise completely healthy. She has been
recently spayed, vaccinated and put on flea medication. She will also be
micro-chipped so she could never be “lost” again. Now all she needs is a family
committed to her for the rest of her life.
Jolie
would make a great companion to another playful dog or be your one and only
love. She is currently living with a 6
year old foster brother and is very submissive. Jolie has been a little too cat curious
around the neighborhood, so might best not be placed in a cat home.
If Jolie
sounds like the girl for you be sure to fill out our application to adopt. A home check is required.
Once your home check is complete you may contact Jolie’s foster Lori@IndiLabRescue.org

| Butter adopted!
Meet Butter, a darling purebred yellow female Labrador with an adorable smiley face and a lovely disposition!
Butter is just about 5 years old and is a medium sized girl at just about 65 lbs. she has a beautiful soft buttery coat (hence her name!) and is really just the prettiest girl.
Butter is a fairly mellow and easy going girl. She is not a running partner and is more of a walking buddy. She loves her walks and does wonderfully without pulling and passing other dogs nicely. She will also enjoy mellower hikes if you like. Butter really does love her walks and gets excited when the leash comes out!
This beauty is a sweetheart in the house, settles in and snuggles on her dog bed through the night. She is completely housebroken and non-destructive.
Butter is wonderful with all other dogs. She loves to go to dog park and enjoys meeting the people and all the other dogs. She is not a huge player - not big on fetching or toys, but is more of a lover, snuggler, smiler and wiggler.
Butter is so lovely you can even take her to work where she would snuggle at your feet under your desk.
This lovely girl is right at home with an active household where things can get busy, or when things are quiet and mellow. She is a very well-adjusted love.
Butter is a tad on the chubby side and could lose maybe 3-5 lbs. She loves her food! Oh and she also take treats very nicely and gently.
This gentle sweet girl is also good with kitties and we think will do fine with children over age 5.
Butter is healthy, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
If you feel Butter is right for your family, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Shihlo adopted!
Shihlo is an
11 month old female white purebred English Labrador Retriever.
Indi volunteers scooped her up and fell head over heels. Shihlo weighs ? lbs, a nice size for a stocky
girl. Her soft white coat shines.
Shihlo is a
great indoor dog. She is calm in the
house, does not to beg for food and doesn’t bark at all, even at the
mailman. Shihlo likes to lie quietly in
the kitchen while you cook and clean. She
is housebroken and crate trained yet she doesn’t need it, she’s a perfect girl
while gone.
Shihlo
is an active puppy. She will most likely be
a medium to high energy dog that will need a lot of play and exercise to keep
her tuckered out and out of trouble. Shihlo likes to play with all the
toys in the toy box, pulling them all out so she can find just the right one.
Sometimes she even grabs laundry out of the hamper carrying it like her blanky.
Shihlo is a
companion dog. She has to be touching
you even likes to climb up and cuddle with you keeping you company on the couch. She loves to give you kisses.
She likes to run and chase. Once tired, she will lie down
sunning herself watching the world go by imitating her big foster brother. She
is fine with school age children but can bull doze her weight around.
Shihlo has very strong mouth
and still learning to take treats nicely. We rather not place her in a home with little
ones for the puppy play-bites hurt even us adults.
Shihlo is completely healthy, recently spayed, micro-chipped and
vaccinated. Now all she needs is a family committed to
her for the rest of her life. She would
make a great companion to another dog.
If you feel this girl is right for you, click on our applications page
and submit as soon as possible. If you have
already submitted your application and have had your home check, feel free to
email her foster mom lori@indilabrescue.org

| Sierra adopted!
Meet Sierra - a stunningly beautiful, gentle, sensitive and sweet female
Weimaraner of about 2 yrs old. Sierra is being fostered with several other
weims and she gets along well with her furry siblings just great. She is also
being fostered with kitties and is sweet and gentle with them. This girl
is truly a prize and her foster family and everyone that meets her adores
her! Her mild and sweet nature is hard to resist!
At about 60 lbs Sierra is the perfect size for a female weim. She is a
little on the thin side but is eating well and with another 5 lbs she will be
just right. She has a natural tail instead of a docked tail like many
Weims
Sierra ended up at a very high kill shelter , where we immediately
rescued her and brought her home with us! She was not at all happy in the
shelter - as that is a very scary place for dogs. And for a gentle soul like
Sierra this was pretty stressful. As soon as she got home, she warmed up to her
foster mom and started giving love and affection and doing her happy dance to be
back in a home!
Sierra is great with all other dogs - big and small,
young & old. She passes them with ease on leash. She walks
pretty well on leash - although she does like to be at the end of the leash, she
does not pull much at all and responds well to quick, light tugs on the leash
for correction.
Aside from her personality, the great thing about Sierra
is that she is the combination of sweetness and fun. She is mellow but
will rally anytime for a walk. She can be goofy but is not hyper.
She is great with other dogs and loves to play . Sierra is the
perfect combination of happy and fun. She is a medium energy girl who will
LOVES her daily walks and would enjoy hikes, perhaps even trips to dog beach or
dog park once she's settled in with her new family.
Like most young
Weimaraners, Sierra will do best in a home where someone is home most of the
time. So for stay at home moms, people that work from home or those that
can bring your dog to work, Sierra would love it. It would be great if
there is another doggie sibling that she can spend time with and play
with. Sierra loves her people and will bond easily. She loves to
sleep in the same room with her family and currently sleeps in the bedroom with
her foster mom and dad. She will sleep ON you or sit on your lap if
you let her, that is how much she loves her people. She nuzzles and gives little
kisses and is likely the most affectionate weim we have ever had in
rescue.
Sierra is a well mannered girl - housebroken, not jumpy and settles very
well around the house! She likes to give kisses of affection, but she is
pretty gentle, so she is likely a good choice for a family with kids. She
also rides fabulously in the car - just hops right in and settles down for the
ride. Sierra is spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on all vaccines. If
you would like to meet Sierra, please make sure that you have an
approved application on file with us, then email her foster mom at: IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Abbie adopted!
Meet Abbie, a darling 11 month old purebred black female Labrador. Abbie is an AKC registered purebred Labrador and is a bench bred (or "English") Labby with lovely conformation.
Abbie is just wonderful. She is a playful, lovely and sweet youngster who loves to please and absolutely loves life.
She is perfect with all people, all dogs and even kitties!!!
Abbie is wonderful with other dogs and a great candidate for dog park and dog beach where she can be with friends and enjoy playtime. She is a medium energy girl and settles very nicely after her exercise. She is having so much fun in her foster home with 3 other labbies!
Abbie came to us from a family who was so busy they literally had NO time for a dog, let alone a puppy. Poor Abbie was left alone as many as 12-13 hours a day with little to no attention, exercise, or love.
Coming to us was the best thing for this perfect little bunny who is just enjoying every aspect of her foster life, playing, learning and just soaking up all the attention.
Abbie settles beautifully in the house after her exercise and she is completely housebroken using the doggie door. She is a quick learner who only wants to please. She is great in the house, but IS still a puppy so is always closely monitored.
She does tend to pull on the leash a bit in the beginning of her walk, partially because it's so exciting to go for a walk and partially because no one ever walked her before. But Abbie is learning and doing much better every day. As she walks she does get more into step with you. She does however stop pulling completely when walked with a training collar or a gentle leader.
Abbies does great with the kitties she is fostered with too! She likes to sniff them, say hello and then pretty much ignores them making Abbie a perfect choice for families with cats!
Abbie is a healthy girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel that this lovely and sweet purebred pup is right for your family, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Robbie adopted!
Meet Wonderful, gentle, amazing Robbie, the 3 year old purebred chocolate Labrador who is perfection with children, dogs, and basically any living thing.
If you are looking for a therapy quality calm and lovely Lab, this boy is it. We love Robbie!!!!
This perfect and sweet Lab will break your heart as he currently looks a little sad and is recovering from major underfeeding, poor nutrition, and hair loss due to flea dermatitis and horrendous grain based food (WHEN he got food which was not often). The good news is he is getting everything he needs now and in short order will be absolutely as gorgeous outside as he is inside.
Robbie is wonderful. He is about 3 year old and prances around happily. He is an AKC purebred Lab with no dew claws and came to us from one of the higher kill shelters in California. He was turned into the shelter by a person who adopted him from the shelter. The reason given was that the person could not afford to feed Robbie and clearly that is the case. Thank goodness we were able to get to him quickly and get him out.
He is a submissive sweetheart who is wonderful with all dogs - even a very dominant dog in his foster home adores Robbie. He is curious around the cats he is fostered with and is good with them but he may chase a kitty.
Robbie is a medium energy boy who will be very, very calm and good in his home. He would love a nice walk each day from his new owner and would love tons of attention and love as he is a very affectionate boy.
Robbie's new home must commit to feeding a grain free food such as Taste of the Wild, Orijen, or the like or better yet they will feed raw food. Robbie (and all Labs really) should never consume grain. Grain is rice, corn, wheat, barley, etc. And in this stage of getting healthy, getting his shiny coat back, and gaining weight, Robbie deserves only the best highest quality food.
Robbie had a skin scraping to double check that there were no additonal problems and the test was negative. So now it's up to use to let him recover physically. Meanwhile spiritually and mentally, this boy seems to already be happy and know he is safe and loved!!!!
Robbie is a pretty exceptional dog. He is very well behaved and of outstanding temperament. Several of our volunteers would love to adopt Robbie themselves but all of us here at Indi Lab already own more than enough Labradors!!!!! The family lucky enough to adopt Robbie will be truly blessed if they are open, willing, and patient enough to see him through his recovery.
Robbie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this wonderful boy is right for you, please complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to scartersoo@mac.com

| Dora adopted!
Meet Dora, the most adorable yellow purebred girl ever. This happy wiggly female Labrador is just so darling and delights everyone who meet her.
Dora is 2 years old, slightly chubby, and totally cute. Her foster mom says she is a rollie pollie! She's a full on wiggler who smiles constantly. This happy girl loves everyone and everyone loves Dora.
Dora is very good with other dogs but we are not sure about kitties. She will do beautifully at dog park and dog beach where she can play and make friends.
Dora has lots of nice energy and would love to go on plenty of fun walks. But she is also a very calm dog settling nicely at your feet. She is very good in the house.
Dora loves her toys and treats. She especially loves her chew toys like bully sticks and she is learning to play fetch.
Dora seems to know a little bit about commands. She likes to sit and shake with both paws!!! But she could also use a little work to be a bit better trained. She loves to please her person so we think this will be nothing but fun for Dora and her new family.
Dora loves to sit and smell the air with her ears back listening to and smelling everything around her. She is very alert and loves everything about life.
This girl is really a perfect love. She is well behaved, calm in the house and car, and still a lot of fun for hikes, dog beach or even a nice jog with her person. Add to this her beauty and charm and you have got a pretty amazing pup!
We think Dora will do great with a family who will give her her daily exercise and lots of cuddle time. She will do fine with children over age 7 and she will do fine as an only dog if someone is around much of the time. Otherwise she would love a friendly doggie companion.
Dora is healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is also current on flea control.
If you feel this doll is right for you, please be sure you have been approved to adopt and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Maddie 2 adopted!
Meet Maddie, a beautiful purebred AKC female 4year old Labrador with the most gorgeous luxurious chocolate shiny coat.
Maddie
is about 65 lbs and is perfectly bred - just a stunningly beautiful
Lab. She's Bench Bred (English bred) Labrador with a short stocky
frame. She is from Champion lines - no dew claws, and at a perfect
weight!
This little girl is wonderful with all people, children, and other
dogs. She gets along beautifully with all other dogs including the 3
dogs she is fostered with - both small dogs and fellow Labs! Maddie is a
very happy, wiggly, lover girl. She has playful energy, but settles
nicely in the house and is not destructive and 100% housebroken.
Maddie came to us from a very loving home where she had been since
she was a puppy. Unfortunately her owner came upon some troubling times
and could no longer keep her, and we were happy to rescue this girl.
She was a loved dog and well taken care of, but very sad her owner could
no longer care for her. She was turned in to us with her friend, Babs,
who will also be available for adoption soon. Although Maddie & Babs
get along beautifully, they are no so bonded that they must stay
together, therefore they are both in foster separately and available for
adoption separately.
Maddie likes doggie toys and dog bones too in her foster home. She
also enjoys playing with her foster siblings. She is really the
perfect mix of fun & easy! One family will be extremely lucky to
adopt this girl.
Maddie can be found sleeping on the bed, but we are certain she could be trained not to be on the furniture
if that's what you desire.
She has a true Labby temperament - a wiggly, happy girl who is thrilled to meet & greet everyone!
Maddie is very well trained! She even went through a professional
training course with her sister in her previous home. What a star this
girl is. She walks great on leash and can be walked on a regular flat
collar with no problem at all. She can be a little jumpy when she's
excited - so she's learning to stay on all four paws. And she is
learning to take treats gently - both habits her foster mom is working
to break, and she will be perfect in no time!
Maddie will do best in a home where she will get daily exercise
such as walks, hikes, or fun outings like dog park or dog beach! She
will do fine with children, but keep in mind she is a wiggler and could
easily knock a toddler down, so we would prefer to place her in a home
with children over age 5.
Maddie would do great as your
one and only girl (provided you are not gone extremely long hours during
the week), or she would make a great doggie companion.
She is also a great car rider - hopping right in to enjoy the ride.
So far Maddie has basically ignored the cats in her foster home, so we believe she will do very well in a home with kitties.
Maddie is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you think Maddie is the girl for your family, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Tate adopted!
Wow, talk about perfection! Meet Tate, a truly well bred purebred Labrador. This jet black English Lab is a stocky guy with a nice blocky head and as far as looks go, it doesn't get any better.
Tate is a youngster at about 2-3 years of age. But boy is he calm and mellow and easy going. He is really a gorgeous boy and is a perfect bench bred guy with the conformation and temperament we expect from an English Lab.
This perfectly well behaved, trained, and clearly well loved Labrador came to us from THE highest kill shelters in the state of California in Kern County. Minutes away from euthanasia, our volunteer saved Tate's life and brought him to safety! This is almost impossible to believe knowing how perfect this guy is. It's horribly sad that no one found him to take him home.
Tate is amazing. He is a very easy going boy who is a perfect gentleman with every person and every dog he meets. He loves other dogs and enjoys playing with them. He is wonderful about sharing toys and space too and has very nice doggie manners.
Tate knows his commands and wants to please his person. He is a good boy who settles perfectly inside but he does have the typical Labby vices such as counter surfing and the love of the couch and bed. He loves to snuggle on the couch!
Tate is a medium energy boy who does well with a good walk and then is settled for the day. He is the perfect candidate for dog park or dog beach because of how well he does with all people and other dogs. He is more on the submissive side with other dogs so they just love him.
Tate is a wonderful car rider and lays right down. He likes the window cracked a bit and loves looking out.
Tate is good on the leash too. He passes all other dogs nicely and doesn't pull too bad at all. He takes correction very well.
Tate will do great with children though we prefer to place him with children over age 5 since he is big boy at 80 lbs.
He is a true lover who will do best in a home where he will be adored and loved like crazy. He will do beautifully with another canine companion who enjoys playing. We prefer not to place Tate as an only dog if he is to be left alone all day while his owners are at work for long hours. Although we think he would be a good boy, it wouldn't be the best life and he deserves a better home than that.
Tate would be an outstanding therapy dog for someone interested in doing therapy work. We think people would love hanging out with this guy!
Tate is healthy, up to date on vaccines, and neutered. He is just pure perfection and waiting for the right home.
If you feel Tate is for you, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Honey Bee adopted!
Meet Honey Bee! Honey Bee is a beautiful purebred female Weimaraner. She is about 3 yrs old.
She came to us from a very high kill shelter where she was impounded as a stray. When her family didn't come for her, we picked her up right away and promised her she would never be abandoned or alone in a shelter ever again. She is a very special girl. Honey Bee is VERY funny. When her foster mom gets out treats, she spins in circles. HI-LAR-I-OUS! She loves to much on carrots and ice cubes! She knows "sit" with food and treats. She is still learning the leash. She LOVES her ball. She will walk around with it in her mouth non-stop. She will fall asleep with it in her mouth. She loves to chase it, but is still learning to give it BACK, so it can be thrown again. Recently when her fosters parents went out of town for a few days, they found one of Bee's balls in their suitcase! Guess she thought they needed it to remind them of her while they were away!! So Cute!
Honey Bee is FULLY potty trained and has not had even one accident in the house. She sleeps all night through, unless one of the other dogs wakes her up, then she joins them to go potty. She is non-destructive, has not destroyed anything in her foster moms house, nor dug any holes in the yard . She is surprisingly not a couch dog. She will lay on a pillow, but has not even tried to get on the couch once.
Honey Bee is great at the dog park. She listens, comes when called, and chases her balls. She gets along great with my the other dogs she is fostered with , male and female Weims and also a lab. She was initially fascinated by the kitty in the house and would just sit and look at her, but she has become less and less interested in the kitty so she would be fine in a home with cats.
Since Bee loves her ball so much she may grab it out of the hand of a small child, so we feel it is best if she is placed with children 7 years and older.
Like most Weimaraners, Bee will do best in a home where someone is home much of the time. She will not do well in a house where everyone goes to work all day and leaves her alone. Weimaraners need to feel that they are a part of the family so would love to be in a home where she will get lots of attention. Another dog in the home would be a great plus.
Honey Bee is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all of her vaccines, all she needs is a family to love. If you are interested in meeting Bee to see if she is the dog for you, make sure you fill out an application first, and then send an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Sandy adopted!
Sandy is an adorable 5 year old purebred yellow female. She's a petite girl at about 60 lbs and is the "Fox Red" version of yellow. This pretty girl is about as good as they come.
Sandy is extremely calm and mellow. She is perfection in the house and out and wonderful in the car. She is such a good girl that it is nothing short of pleasure for her foster mom to have her visiting.
Sandy is wonderful with all other dogs. She's a submissive girl who is also very well adjusted with excellent doggie manners. So other dogs really like her and she them. At dog park she will greet other dogs and of course all the people too. She enjoys cruising around but she is not particularly playful.
Sandy is also lovely on the leash. She does not pull at all and is easy to handle. She passes other dogs nicely and is a wiggler when meeting friends.
Sandy is housebroken and non-destructive. She does like to get up on the couch when invited to cuddle up next to you. Since her foster mom doesn't mind, Sandy has been on the couch cuddling with the family a LOT.
Sandy is a low - medium energy girl who is very much on the mellow side. She does need her daily walks but she settles beautifully. Because she is so calm she is a great choice for little children provided they are gentle kids. We do not want to place her with rough crazy children.
Sandy needs to be placed in a home where some one is home most of the time. She is not happy when left alone for long work days and would do her best in a home where she can be with her person or family most of the time.
Sandy came to us from one of the worst shelters in California where dogs get 4 days and then are euthanized. We pulled Sandy from the shelter the day of her scheduled euthanasia. Unbelievable!!! This sweet little bunny who is such a good girl and a purebred Lab to boot!
Sandy is a very special girl. Really just wonderful in every way. She is spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped.
If you think this beauty is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Ona adopted!
Meet Ona, a happy, wiggly, and sweet purebred chocolate female Labrador of just about 3 years.
Ona is a darling chocolate girl with the sweetest face ever and equally sweet disposition. She loves everyone and has a nice playful energy about her as she picks up and plays with her toys, dog bones & ball too!
Ona is great with other dogs. She loves to play fetch! She will chase the ball - and runs really fast and bring the ball back and drop it for you to throw again - what a good girl. She loves to just romp around and make friends. And she rides beautifully in the car with other foster labs on outings.
Ona is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house. She is a lovely small size at only 60 pounds. She loves her exercise, including off leash hikes in the hills! She does great on leash - although she will pull a bit, she can be walked on a regular flat collar or training collar. Ona came to us from the highest kill shelter in all of California. Her life was in immediate danger when we found her and she had only just arrived. So it was shear luck we were able to save her life. This is hard to even imagine because of how beautiful and lovely this girl is. Ona came to us from Kern County where there are many, many breeders and an enormous number of dogs are euthanized every year due to overpopulation. This poor girl was almost one of them.
Ona will do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. She is fostered with another foster doggie - a chocolate male, and a 7 year old yellow female in her foster home & she gets along well with all the doggies very well! She would love a family that will play fetch with her lots.
We do not know how Ona will do with kitties, so we will not look to place her in a home with cats at this time.
Ona will need her daily exercise like a good walk or dog park and then will do great settling into the house. She is a happy, labby girl who would likely do well with kids, although we will only consider kids over age 5 as she can be a bit mouthy when playing with her toys.
Ona is a good girl in the house or car and settles nicely. Her new family will want to supply lots and lots of toys and chewy toys like nylabones, rawhides, and bully sticks to keep her amused.
This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her.
Ona is a healthy girl who is up to date on shots, spayed, and microchipped.
If you think this is the girl for you, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to Indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Clovis adopted!
Meet our buddy Clovis, a happy adorable purebred Labrador! This youngster is a beautiful big yellow boy of about 1 1/2 years and 75 lbs. He is a mellow easy going buy and is just the nicest Lab around.
Clovis is very calm for a young Lab. He will lay at your feel or calmly hang out in the house with you. But he is young so he does need his daily dog park trip and good walks.
He loves other dogs - even little dogs - so dog park is a must for this guy. And he would love if you had another playful friendly dog for him to be best buddies will too.
Clovis is a gentle boy but he can pull on the leash too. He takes correction very well and only wants to please his person. Clovis passes other dogs nicely on the leash and just loves everyone.
Clovis is also good with cats and basically ignores them. Though again, he is YOUNG and has moments when chasing kitty can be great fun. He usually is not that interested but families with cats considering Clovis need to remember any friendly playful Lab can be cat curious at times and may chase out of fun.
Even though Clovis is an extremely gentle Labrador he is just too large for little children. We absolutely will not place Clovis in a home with children under age 7.
Clovis is the happiest boy and such a lover. And he is really gorgeous. It's hard to imagine he was a stray with no one looking for him. We are so blessed to have this boy with us and all he needs now is the very best most loving home.
Clovis will do best in a home where someone is prepared for a young large dog. He IS very, very mellow for sure, but we want a home for him that is absolutely interested in a dog that will get to go to dog park and dog beach, hiking, and daily good exercise each day.
His new perfect home will have someone around much of the time or at least another friendly canine companion to keep Clovis company. And of course tons and tons of love to give.
Clovis is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel Clovis is right for your family, please complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

Flora adopted!
This is Flora, our own little "goddess of flowers." She's an 8 week old playful purebred Labrador puppy looking for a garden of her own. This little girl will melt your heart. She is so cute, so cuddly and so sweet!
Flora is pure white, with a darling little black nose. You just cannot stop kissing her sweet little face.
Flora came to us with her Mommy Justice and Daddy Jack - both also white purebred Labbies who will be available for adoption soon once they are spayed and neutered. Her family could no longer care for them and when were were called to rescue this adorable white Labrador family, we couldn't resist and jumped to save them.
Flora is already 21 lbs. At just 2 months that means she's likely going to grow up to be a big girl like her Daddy Jack. As much as we like them cuddled in our laps, big dogs need to be trained early. Once she's old enough she should enroll in an obedience class with her new family to learn all the fun commands and play with other dogs cause she loves to hang out with the big dogs!
Flora is fostered with two other dogs, big and small. She just loves to run and play with them. Although she hasn't quite figured out the doggy door yet, she has proven to be very smart. She's already letting her foster mom know when its time for a potty break. What a good girl she is!
Flora is still just a little baby and she needs constant companionship to feel secure and loved. Another playful dog would be fun or she can be your one and only love. These next few weeks are so important for her development and we will want to place her in a home where someone is home most of the time for the next couple of months. Her new family should be prepared for puppy hood and all it's shenanigans! Puppies love to have fun! She will thrive in a home with lots of fun chew toys, she still has her baby teeth and needs lots to chew. She has shown interest in fetch and loves to play chase and tug of war.
Flora can be an excellent choice for families with kitties since you can raise you Lab to love and play with them. Puppies at this age are far too mouthy for little toddlers. Flora will not be placed with any little ones under 5.
Flora just received her first round of vaccinations and deworming. She will require two more rounds of puppy shots and deworming scheduled per your vet. Flora will be microchipped before she leaves her foster home for we don't want her to ever get lost. Because she is so young, we will not spay her however we will require a spay deposit that is refundable once you send us proof of sterility. We can recommend some great vets we love to use.
Puppies are a huge commitment. Puppies require housebreaking, training, tons of attention, and love. If Flora sounds like the girl for you and your prepared for all that goes along with puppyhood, be sure to fill out our application to adopt.
A puppy proof homecheck is required. Once your homecheck is complete you may contact Flora's foster Lori@IndiLabRescue.org

| Amos adopted!
Talk about a catch! This boy is just a prince and we are so proud to have him for adoption.
Meet adorable Amos! Amos is a very well bred, beautiful male Labrador. He is an English or Bench Bred Labrador and has a gorgeous blocky head and nice shorter stockier stature.
Amos is just about 2-3 years old and weights about 65 lbs - the perfect weight for a male English Labby!
His coat is shiny and jet black and he has a wiggle that will steal your heart in seconds.
This stunning purebred came to us from THE highest kill horrific animal shelter in all of California. And he came to us ON the day of his euthanasia. Strays at this shelter are given only 4 days for their owners to show up. If no owner claims the dog, the dog is euthanised. Boy are we lucky we got this amazing purebred Labrador out in time!
Amos is amazing. He is wonderful with all other dogs. Just loves their company and loves to play. He is a great dog for dog park or dog beach because of how great he gets along with other dogs. He loves the 2 Labs he is fostered with and is really enjoying his foster home.
Amos is also fostered with twin girls aged 8 and they adore him and he is wonderful with them. We think Amos would do great with children but we won't place him with kids under age 6 as toddlers have a knack for getting knocked down and parents get nervous.
Amos is wonderful with all people. He loves attention and will let you clean his ears or give him a bath with no problem at all.
Amos is playful but he is also very mellow in the house and car. He settles beautifully after he has had some exercise and really is a medium energy young Lab.
Amos will do best in a home where he will either have a friendly canine companion as a buddy or where he can go to dog park or other play days occasionally. He will do great in most homes honestly because he is really a pretty easy and typical Labrador.
Amos is a healthy beauty who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel this amazing prince of a purebred Lab is right for your family, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and have had a homecheck. Then shoot an email to Amos's foster mom at susie.rivera@gmail.com

| Ivory adopted!
Meet Ivory! This adorable girl is a 5 year old English or Bench Bred female Labrador with a light yellow coat, a happy face and lovely labby temperment.
She is a shorter & stalkier girl and is just a tad overweight - currently weighing in about 68 pounds, but probably could lose 5 pounds or so. Regular exercise and limited food will help this girl lose weight very quickly. She is nice small size for a Lab!
We found Ivory at a Los Angeles County shelter where she was picked up as a stray. We just cannot imagine someone not coming to get this dog. But when her owners never came to claim her, we were lucky enough to rescue her. Ivory is a happy, labby girl. She loves to play fetch and has been enjoying playing with her foster brother - a male Lab of 6 years old. Ivory is good with all other dogs she has met. Ivory is a playful fun girl who does need her daily exercise - long walks, playing fetch in the yard - even swimming would be great for her. Once exercised, she settles very well in the house, and just loves to be loved and get some great pets from her humans. Ivory does pretty well on leash - she does pull at first, but then settles out into her walk. She could benefit from a training collar like a pinch collar or harness at first on her walks. Ivory is a non destructive girl who is great in the house. She is 100% housebroken and is a pleasure to have around. She is very smart - learning how to use the doggie door almost immediately in her foster home! What a good girl she is! Ivory is an easy girl to add to almost any household as she will settle in quickly.
Ivory knows her commands - of course she's much more likely to listen whenever you have food for her - typical labbie! She knows sit, down, and come. She does need a gentle training hand - as it seems she might have been hit at one time in her life - poor girl. Sometimes she can be a little scared when you use your hand to give her the down command, but with a gentle leader she responds very well. So no heavy handed training for this girl. Ivory will do well as an only dog or with another doggie companion. If she is a doggie companion, she would likely do best with another male dog. If you do work during the day, you should be sure to exercise Ivory before you go to work, and she will rest well throughout the day. While we believe Ivory will do well with children, she can be jumpy when excited, so we would prefer to place her in a home with children over 5. We do not know how Ivory will do with kitties, so we will not place her in a home with cats at this time.
Ivory is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and will be spayed this week. After her spay, she will be ready for adoption and looking for her forever new home.
If you think Ivory is the girl for you, please be sure to complete an application and be sure to follow up with an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Jack 2 adopted!
Meet Jack, a stunningly handsome 2 year old purebred AKC yellow male Labrador with no dew claws. His coat is a light cream or white in color, and he is about 85 lbs with a nice blocky head to die for. We do not think they come more beautiful than this yummy boy.
Jack is an easy going boy who is great with other dogs and loves all people. He is a young boy at age 2 so does need his daily exercise of course, but he settles nicely in the house after his exercise. He is really the perfect mix of fun & easy! He loves his doggie toys and can sometimes be found carrying two soft squeaky toys in his mouth at once - silly boy.
Jack came to us from a home where he was with a white female Lab and the two were purchased by their family as puppies with the purpose of breeding them. They produced one litter and then the family decided they did not want to continue breeding the dogs and relinquished them to us. Oh and how lucky we are - this boy is fabulous!!! Jack is a sweet boy who walks nicely on the leash with a pinch collar. He will definitely pull a bit at the beginning of his walk, but he settles well into the walk and after about 20-30 minutes, you won't see him pulling any longer. He responds very nicely to the pinch collar making him a pleasure to walk. Before long he will be perfection. He really loves his walks and enjoys walking with his foster sister.
Jack gets along beautifully with his foster sister, an 8 year old female Lab. They get along nicely, share toys and the bed, and love each others company. Jack also loves to play with other dogs!
Jack will do best in a home where he will get the daily exercise young Labradors need and would love to go to dog park and dog beach and even some nice hikes with his new family. He is a young Lab after all so lots of activities and fun time for this happy boy! He especially would love play time with other dogs, so perhaps a playful companion in his home, or regular play dates with another playful dog his size.
The best part about Jack... he is well trained!!! Wow!!! He knows sit, down, come, and stay! His previous family definitely spent some time working with this lovely boy and it pays off - it's hard to find such a lovely 2 year old boy so well trained! He is also food motivated, so teaching him more would likely be quite easy. We think he will do nicely with children, but he is a large wiggler so no young kids for this guy. We will consider children over the age of 5 on a case by case basis.
Jack will do beautifully with another friendly canine companion - especially a playful buddy. He would do okay as your one and only as long as you are not gone long hours. He is used to having another dog around, and he is a young, playful boy, so we would hate for him to be all alone for long hours during the day. Jack also loves to swim, so if you have a pool, or live near the beach - Jack would love the opportunity to go in the water! He is housebroken and is a good boy in the car too! He will hop right in the car and lay down for the ride.
Jack can be a little too cat curious, so we prefer not to place him in a home with kitties at this time. Jack is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you think this is the boy for you, please be sure to complete an application and then send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Cheyenne adopted!
Meet Cheyenne, a cute little purebred yellow female Labrador with a big smile and even bigger heart! This sweetie is such a good girl.
Cheyenne is a medium sized purebred Lab with a buttery yellow coat. She is a pretty girl and has a perfect otter tail which we love! She is just about 2 years old and is the perfect age!
Cheyenne is just wonderful with the other dogs she is fostered with and even does pretty well with the cats who live in her foster home too. She is a playful friendly girl who loves to carry a toy around and is wonderful about sharing.
Cheyenne is a medium energy youngster who will love getting her daily walks. And she is very good on leash walking right at your side and passing other dogs nicely making walking her a pleasure. She will love going to dog park and will do great at dog beach since she is so friendly with other dogs.
We think Cheyenne will do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. But will likely do best with a friend if you are gone long hours.
Cheyenne is not destructive and is housebroken. She is also lovely in the car and enjoys car rides.
She is not particularly mouthy or jumpy but is young. We think children over 5 would be best for her since she can be quite the wiggler.
She basically ignores cats, but again, she's a youngster who can give chase if she is feeling playful.
Cheyenne is a healthy girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this cutie is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Stitch adopted!
Meet Stitch, an adorable yellow purebred male Labrador of 4 years. Stitch is a beautifully bred Lab with a gorgeous block head and a nice stocky body. He is a very pale yellow - almost white - and is such a pretty boy.
Stitch is a typical happy Lab who is on the calmer side. He's a mellow boy who goes with the flow and gets on great with everyone. At times Stitch can even be a little shy. He is always such a lover though.
Stitch is wonderful with all other dogs and even cats. He basically ignores cats making him a great choice for families with kitties. He is submissive and friendly wtih all other dogs and has nice doggie manners.
Stich is a medium energy boy who loves his walks and enjoys the company of other dogs. He is a young boy who definitely needs his exercise, but settles down beautifully in the house and is a pretty mellow boy.
His house manners are wonderful. He is not destructive and is an easy going boy indoors. He loves to be with his people and watch what you are doing. And he is a very affectionate boy.
Stitch will do great in a home with or without another friendly canine companion or kitty companion. He would probably love the company if you work during the day. He will do great with older children as he can sometime jump and knock a little one down.
Stitch would love a family that will do nice things with him, like lots of nice walks, trips to the park, and even dog beach. He is a good boy in the car too and loves to accompany you on errands.
This sweet boy is just a doll. All he needs now is a wonderful home to call his one.
Stitch is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel Stitch is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and have had your homecheck. Then please follow up with an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Aurora adopted!
Meet Aurora - or Princess Aurora as we call her! She is a beautiful female yellow lab who has the best temperment ever! She is a lighter yellow - almost cream color with gorgeous golden eyes! She is an English or Bench Bred girl with a short stalky body and perfect otter tail. She is a good size at about 70 pounds.
Aurora came to us from one of the highest kill shelters in Los Angeles, and as soon as we saw her, we knew she needed a fabulous new home. She is about 4 years old and a loving, darling girl.
Aurora does well with all the other labbies she has met - liking to give kisses to some and and just hanging out with them. She is a mostly mellow girl - enjoying her daily walks and playing a little fetch in the yard - but then spending most of her day resting at your feet, or in the yard. Aurora is fostered with a 7 year old female lab and the two get along very well. Aurora is a pretty good girl on leash - no pinch collar needed. She will walk at the end of the leash sometimes, but settles well into the walk at a lovely pace with her leader. She is really very easy to walk on leash. Aurora is a mellow to medium energy girl. She will play fetch for about 5-10 minutes and then lays down to rest. A couple 30 minute walks for her are great - no need for much more. She mostly loves to chew on her dog bones, carry a toy around in her mouth and get all the petting, love and attention from you she can! She loves to be pet and when she can nustle up next to you for pets, she will stay there forever... if you stop, she will nudge you with her nose to continue. Aurora is 100% housebroken and non-destructive in her home. Just be sure to give her some fun doggie bones and soft squeaky toys to play with. Aurora does know sit, come and stay commands! She doesn't quite know down yet, but we are working on that. She definitely wants to please and is food motivated, so continuing her training with treats should be easy. She also takes treats very gently - what a good girl she is!
Aurora does enjoy a game of fetch here & there, but is not obsessive about it. She also likes her dog bones & other dog toys in her foster home, she and her foster sister are learning how to share!
She does well in the car - jumping right in and enjoying the ride. She will stay in the back of the SUV and never try to jump up to the front. She has accompanied her foster mommy on errands, and she always waits patiently in the car. Aurora is not mouthy at all, which we love. However, she can be jumpy and is still learning that excitement does not have to mean she ends up on 2 paws. So, children over age 5 are probably best for this girl, as she could knock a toddler down.
Aurora would love to be your one and only doggie so she can get all the attention, but she would also do well with another submissive doggie companion in her home. We do not know how she will do with cats, so we will not be placing her with them at this time. Aurora up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and will be spayed this week.
If you feel she is the right fit for your home, please be sure to complete an application and send an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Masen adopted!
Meet Masen, a beautiful velvet black male Labrador of just about 1 1/2 years of age.
This gorgeous boy has a jet black shiny coat and burnt sugar brown eyes that stand out from his gorgeous blocky head. He is really such a pretty Labrador.
Masen is a lovely boy with wonderful temperament. He is slightly on the shy side but warms up quickly and is such a lover. He loves to be close to you and put his head in your lap.
We found Masen in not the nicest shelter where he was already in danger of euthanasia. He was found as a stray and no one came looking for him. Pretty sad as he was frightened at the shelter and such a sweet boy.
Masen is very good with all other dogs and is also good with cats. Actually he is a little shy and afraid of cats! He is fostered with several kitties so we know he will do well with a family looking for a cat friendly Lab.
Masen is a medium energy boy and is really pretty calm for his young age of 1 1/2.
Masen loves to retrieve the ball, but he is still young and sometimes won't give the ball back until you take it from him. But he is learning and just loves playing fetch.
True to his Labrador roots, this boy wants to be with his people. He will not do well left in a yard all day alone. And he is really still too young to be an only dog left alone all day anyway. He still needs his person around or at least another dog for company during long days.
Masen has all those characteristics we look for in a nice Labrador. He is just a typical lover and such a good boy.
Like most young Labbies, he is mouthy at times and most of us are used to that! So we will not place Masen in a home with young children. He will do fine with kids over age 8.
Masen is pretty good in the house too, however he is a young boy so should be outside or crated when alone until he has proven himself 100% trustworthy in his brand new home. Any young Lab can get into some trouble in a new home left alone. There are shoes, and lots of other things that any young Lab could mistake for toys.
Masen should be given at least an hour of nice exercise each day and would love a family to take him to dog park to play with other dogs. He will do great at dog beach also.
Masen is a heathy and stunning boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this darling guy is right for your family, please be sure you have been approved to adopt and then follow up with an email to scartersoo@mac.com

| Jackie adopted!
Meet Jackie! Jackie is an adorable purebred Labrador puppy of just 7 months!
This jet black velvet bunny is pure perfection. Not only is she a gorgeous purebred Lab of lovely breeding, but she has about the best, most lovely temperament around. And at just 7 months of age, she is already showing herself to be a truly wonderful Labrador with all the makings of a perfect adult dog.
Jackie came to us when her owner lost his home and was forced to turn her into a very high kill shelter. It did not take us long to learn of Jackie or to get her out and to safety.
Jackie is truly a wonderful Lab. She is amazing with all other dogs and gets along perfectly with them. She loves dog park and plays beautifully with her many friends.
She seems to adore all people and for a puppy, is amazingly calm. She is not mouthy or jumpy making her a good possibility for little children though of course any large breed dog can knock a toddler down without meaning to.
This girl is just about 68 lbs and is not done growing. She will be about a 75 lb female at full size.
Jackie is a medium energy girl but she IS still a puppy so lots and lots of exercise, park time, and attention is in order - including perhaps a nice obedience class with her new family.
She is a good girl in the house, though of course as a puppy she is closely monitored, crated when appropriate and not always given the run of the house.
She settles beautifully after he exercise and she absolutely adores her foster Labby brother.
Jackie is a good girl on the leash and doesn't pull much. She passes other dogs nicely and she loves her walks. She is also a good girl in the car.
Jackie is a healthy puppy who is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this little girl is right for your family, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and had your homecheck. Then please follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Bob adopted!
Meet Bob. Bob is a beautiful yellow bench bred English purebred Labrador. He is a stocky boy with a gorgeous block head to die for. He is a gorgeous purebred Labrador.
Bob just turned 6 and he is a very healthy happy boy who has perfect temperament and is the perfect mix of energy. After his morning walk or trail outing he is calm in the house and has plenty of energy when you want to do a longer outing or beach day. He just fits right in!
Bob loves all other dogs and all people. He is a medium energy boy who grew up with his litter mate Tony who was just adopted to a home with another friendly lab..so we want the same for Bob! He can also be a very playful guy who just loves to play tug with his foster siblings. He's just a very happy, lovable guy. And he'd love to be your dog's new BFF! Bob's Naughty Foster Dad allows him on the couch where he puts his giant head in his lap for some lovin'. He and his foster dad also have some snoring contests so he wouldn't mind a dad who also knows what its like to saw a few logs during dream time! There is one picture here that gives you a great idea how he likes to gaze at you with those big eyes of love. Its hard not to shower him with the affection he so adores! Bob came to us because his loving owner moved to Manhattan into a small studio where he was unable to take Bob and his brother Tony.
Bob is really the perfect mix of fun and easy dog who will do best with a family or "Morning" person who will give him his good daily exercise before he settles down nicely in the house for the day. Until he knows the routine of how long you are gone he'd appreciate a nice chewie or soup bone in your absence so he doesn't miss you so much. He likes to lie with a pair of your socks or hat..not destroying them, just keeping your smell close. Bob will do fine with kids but like any Lab he's a big boy who is a wiggler. So parents with toddlers may find Bob or any Lab for that matter, to be too much for their little ones.
Bob is reasonably good with cats. He mainly ignores them though like any Lab, if curious, he may chase or even bark at a cat. Families with cats should have dog savvy cats and be patient in letting the dog and cats settle in with each other.
Bob is good on the leash. He will do the happy tap dance when he sees his prong collar come out, but now knows he must sit calmly to get it on..and then that means he will be going out! He can pull a bit in the beginning of the walk but settles into the walk nicely and he passes other dogs beautifully with a wag and wiggle.
This gorgeous English Labrador is really a prize for a family wanting a very loving cuddly dog who is calm yet can be lots of fun and playful too. He's the perfect age and in perfect health.
Bob is neutered, housetrained, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this handsome and well bred boy is right for you, and you have completed an application and done your homecheck, please send an email to TheRoseGarden21@aol.com

| Kobe 4 adopted!
Meet Kobe! This mellow yellow handsome fellow is just wonderful in every way! Kobe is a lovely 5 year old male Labrador who is just about 70 lbs and has the most beautiful black eyeliner around his soulful eyes.
Kobe is great. He loves other dogs, loves dog park and is wonderful with pretty much everyone. He has perfect doggie manners and is on the submissive side. At dog park he gets alone with all his new friends and in his foster home, he and his foster Labby brother get on beautifully. Kobe's foster dad said Kobe is a pretty fabulous boy.
Kobe came to us when his young owner moved from one situation to another situation that did not permit dogs. We will happy to welcome Kobe into our family after meeting him and seeing what a special boy he is.
Kobe is a medium energy Lab who settles beautifully in the house. He is completely housebroken and has wonderful house manners. He's on the calmer side but does love his walks and trips to the park.
Kobe is a good boy on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. He also doesn't pull too hard and is a nice boy to walk.
Kobe is pretty much perfection. He is easy to have around, very loving, and wonderful to all dogs and people. He eats his food nicely and takes treats nicely too. And he is a very good boy in the car as well.
This gentle boy will likely be fine with children as well though keep in mind any large Labrador can knock little ones down.
Kobe is a healthy boy who is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered.
If you feel this boy is right for your family, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Farmer adopted!
Meet Farmer, a darling 4 year old purebred yellow Labrador with a happy smile on his face 24-7. This butterball wiggler is nothing but love all around. He is an english lab with a short stalky body and blocky head.
Farmer came to us from a local high kill shelter. We saw this beautiful boy and we knew he needed to be rescued by us! Farmer is a bit chunky right now & is already started on a program to lose weight - lots of good walks & exercise, and limited food. In no time this boy will be back at his ideal weight, but for now there is just more of Farmer to love! Farmer is wonderful with all other dogs, and all people. He's the perfect combination of fun and easy. This boy loves to play fetch, enjoys hiking the trails with his foster parents, and settles well in the house. Farmer is a medium energy Lab who is just a joy to have around. He is a young 4, so he will need regular daily exercise, but he settles well in the house after he's had a good game of fetch or a good long walk. He is completely housebroken and non-destructive (provided he's had his exercise). Farmer can pull on leash, so he is best walked on a training collar. He is learning good leash skills in foster, but his new family will need to continue his training & reminders to walk in pace with is leader on leash. He knows his commands of sit and shake! He also, understands the correction of no. He is comfortable in the car and of course is enjoying all the walks he is getting!
Farmer can still be mouthy and jumpy, your typical happy, wiggly lab... so we will only look to place him with kids over 7. He is learning in foster to greet people on all four paws, and his new family will need to continue these reminders. Most of all Farmer enjoys chewing on his toy bone and just being with his people. He is a prize for a family looking for a happy, playful dog. His new family will need to put in a little more time on his leash skills and his jumpy/mouthy behavior, but in no time he will be just perfect! Farmer will do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only true love. We do not know how he will do with kitties, so we will not look to place him in a home with cats at this time.
Farmer is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is a healthy boy who is a tad overweight at about 90 lbs. He will do best at a healthy weight of 75lbs and good food and nice exercise daily will take care of this in absolutely no time.
If you think Farmer is the boy for you, be sure to complete an application to adopt, and then send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Echo adopted!
Meet Echo! Are you wondering what kind of dog Echo is? Well he is not a Labrador and he is not a Weimaraner, although he could be mistaken for one, he is really a Fawn or Isabella Doberman. He is 2 years old and is healthy and beautiful with a shiny silver coat. Echo came to us over 10 months ago. A rescuer saw him at the shelter just as he was being taken out of the kennel to be put to sleep....he was so afraid at the shelter that he couldn't or wouldn't move! Thinking he was a Weimaraner, she called us and we immediately agreed to help him.
The shelter IS a very scary place for any dog, but particularly for Echo. Once we got him, we noticed that he looked a little different than the other Weimaraners. His coloring and the shape of his ears is just a little "off", and after further research we found out that he is actually a rare colored Doberman Pinscher. He came to live in a foster home with some Weimaraners. At first he was so scared of everything you couldn't even get near him. A crate with a cover was set up in the family room, and that became his "safe place". It was funny and sad at the same time to see a big strong dog like Echo afraid of his own shadow.
From the very first day, though, he loved the other dogs he was fostered with, and would stand in the back yard and call to them to come and play with him when he was lonely. He was afraid to even come inside. We knew it would take a long time for him to learn to trust people. Little by little, though, he has come around, and now approaches his foster mom and comes to give her kisses and sits on the couch with her even! Echo will need a home who will continue to reinforce that the world is NOT a scary place! With lots of love and patience, Echo is going to make some lucky family very happy. He really will need another dog as a playmate, since he is still learning to trust. Even though he has been afraid, he has never shown even the tiniest bit of aggression with any person or animal. He is sweet and shy and stunningly handsome..
Echo is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. All he needs now is a place to call home. | Aiden adopted!
Meet Aiden, a sweet, gentle chocolate male Labrador of 3-4 years. Aiden is a lovely boy who has wonderful calm temperament and is just a joy to be with.
Aiden came to us from the single highest kill shelter in all of California where he was in immediate danger of euthanasia. We got to Aiden within an hour of his scheduled demise and boy do we feel lucky as this prince is such a wonderful guy.
Aiden is wonderful with all dogs and all people. He is a submissive boy who gets along well with everyone. He is a good boy on the leash and passes other dogs beautifully and he loves to play if another dog is in the mood.
Aiden is a pretty calm boy in the house too. He would love to be a lap dog, but is just as content to lay at your feet. He loves to be where you are and just worships his person. He wants to please and is a very submissive boy.
Aiden has great house manners. He is housebroken, easy going, and non-destructive. He is also a gentleman in the car.
Aiden will do fine with children as he is not particularly mouthy or jumpy. But like all large breed dogs, he could knock toddlers over without meaning to. He will not do well with kitties as he is way too curious about them and will for sure chase.
Aiden is a medium energy boy. He is a young guy so for sure needs and loves his walks and dog park. But he is the best of easy and fun as he settles so nicely too.
He will do beautifully in a home with another friendly canine companion if he is to be alone all day. He would also do well as your one and only true love.
Aiden is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and micrcohipped.
If you feel Aiden is right for you and you have completed an application to adopt, please follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Sari adopted!
Meet Sari, the sweetest, darling female black lab who loves to be loved. This 4 year old jet black lab is on the smaller side at 55 pounds and is a lovely combination of playful energy and nice indoor mellowness. Like any Lab, Sari does need her daily exercise, but she is the perfect mix of fun and easy. She is a medium energy girl who will do just fine with a couple good walks a day. A trip to the dog park or a hike would also be great for her, but not necessary every day. She is a gentle girl who loves to be loved and pet. She will sit right up next to you just to get attention.
Sari came to us from a high kill shelter where she was found as a stray and we rescued her just in time. Hard to believe she ended up at a shelter, because she is just a treasure to have as a pet! Unreal that a dog this amazing ended up there.
Sari knows sit and come commands. She is truly a darling and playful girl. She walks pretty well on leash, walking at the end of the leash, but rarely pulling. She can be walked on a flat collar - no need for anything more with this sweet girl.
Sari settles beautifully in the house after she has had her exercise. She likes to be close to you and nap at your feet or on the bed. She is also good with other dogs both big and small. She would do okay as an only dog although I think she would prefer to have a doggie companion. If she were to be your only dog, it is best if you do not work long hours. Sari likes her companionship with her doggies and humans. She is currently fostered with another female lab of 7 years old and they get along great. Sari is also a very good girl in the car, hopping in easily and just laying down while you drive.
Sari got a good brushing and a bath in her foster home - she sat so patiently while she got lathered up with shampoo, what a good girl she was! Sari eats well like any lab, but she is not overly food driven. She takes treats very gently - such a good girl. She loves her doggie toys - especially dog bones, so having some yummy doggie bones in her new home is a must! She will do well with children though keep in mind, though she can be jumpy when she gets excited and any playful lab can knock over toddlers.
Sari is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped & ready for her new home!
If you think Sari is the right dog for you, please be sure to complete an application to adopt, and send an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Tassel adopted!
Meet Tassel, a gentle 4 year old black female Labrador. This girl is just so sweet and wonderfully mellow. She is playful with her foster brother, a young cocker spaniel at times, but she also settles so well in the house!
Tassel is a calm girl who bonds very closely to her person. She would love for you to simply hang out with her and give her love and affection all the time. She is a nice size at about 70 pounds as an American style Lab. Tassel's story started out sad... While we were all recovering from the holidays, Tassel was dropped off at a Northern California shelter to die in horrendous, horribly neglected condition. This beautiful, gentle and calm purebred female Labrador was suffering from a skin infection missing more than 1/2 of her fur. We immediately stepped in and rescued this girl and we are SO happy we did. She has a lovely disposition and the sweetest, gentlest temperment! We started Tassel on treatment right away and she started itching less & less, and her hair started growing back almost immediately. Tassel is now all healed! She is no longer itchy, her skin infection is gone, and her hair is getting thicker and fuller every day! She is now ready for a new family to love her and care for her. Tassel is SUPER with all other dogs and even cats too! She is a submissive girl who really is not affected by a cat running by, a squirrel teasing her or angry barking dogs. None of it phases this stable, calm girl. She takes everything in stride and ignores all the craziness that might be going on around her. She is a great choice for a family with cats as she really just ignores them. Tassel is playful with other dogs at times, but... she plays with her foster brother every day. He is a small dog, and she plays so well with him - having lots of fun playing gently as we would love all our labs to do with smaller dogs.. The two get along great! Even more impressive about this girl is how fabulous she is on leash. She walks right next to you with a loose leash and just stays perfectly in pace with you! She is a true dream to walk. This special girl is truly a beauty from the inside out. Her mellow temperment makes her a great choice as a therapy dog, or with younger kids. Tassel will do great in a home with a doggie companion or as your one and only. She does well with both little dogs and big dogs - they are all friends to her. She loves her foster brother, a cocker spaniel. She is a low to medium energy girl who would do well with a couple walks a day for exercise. Although she would love trips to dog park too, she doesn't require it. She is now looking for her forever home with a family that will spoil her in every way she deserves! Tassel is a healthy, girl who is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and ready for her forever home! She is also current on flea medication.
If you feel this lovely sweetheart is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Kirby adopted!
Meet Kirby, the cutest most playful purebred boy. This purebred pale yellow Labrador is just the best boy. He is one year old (just) and is a playful, active puppy.
Kirby came to us from a very high kill shelter. What was he doing there??? This cutie definitely did not belong in a shelter and boy was he happy to come home with us.
Mr. wiggly boy is adorable. But he is a puppy. And he's a big puppy at about 65 lbs and still has some weight to gain and bit to grow. He will grow into a spectacular adult dog because he has excellent, outstanding temperament. But until then, he will be a wiggly active puppy who wants to play, and do lots of fun stuff.
He loves other dogs and love playing with them. He will love to go to dogpark and should go often. It's a great way for him to play, socialize and get energy out!
Kirby is a perfect dog for someone who wants a playful, super loving youngster.
He will need his good daily exercise, would love a playful friendly companion if you are gone all day, and would love a little bit of training too. Remember, as cute as this boy is, he is a puppy!
Kirby is a great dog to take to dog beach or other places because of how perfect he is with other dogs. He loves to play and his play style if best suited to another large dog like him who also loves to play.
He's great on the leash though at time he thinks it is a good idea to help you carry the leash. :-) He loves to hold the leash in his mouth and walk himself. It's adorable, but honestly it's not all that helpful Kirby! He is also a fabulous jogging partner.
This gorgeous buttercup is really a perfect dog in the making, but he requires a committed family who will enjoy the next year of his puppy life. He settles down nicely in the house after he has had his exercise.
Kirby is wonderful with all other dogs, too mouthy for kids under age 9 and is too cat curious to be with kitties.
He is a very healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel Kirby is the one for you, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| George adopted!
Meet George. George is a gorgeous "Dudley" yellow male of 1-1 1/2 years. He is bred in the English style with a shorter, blockier body and a very big blocky head. He is a very lab standard sized boy of 65 pounds, although unlike his foster mom, he could stand to gain a few pounds.
As you can see, he has a fabulous big head with expressive hazel eyes, typical of dudleys. He loves to lean that big head up against you for pats and love.
George is mellow with a capital M. he settles beautifully in the house, wanting nothing more than to lay at his human's feet. He is crate trained, and hasn't had an accident in the house in the limited time he has been here, but we wouldn't guarantee him house trained at this time. He does run from the crate to the back door in the morning, which is a good sign.
George ignores cats, and is excellent with children as young as 5. He might give a 5 year old a doggie kiss, since they are at his eye level, but that is all George would do to a small child. He thinks he is a lap dog, trying to get into whatever lap is handiest when there are people sitting on the floor.
As a young lab, George is still a baby and will need obedience training to become the great companion he can be. He doesn't pull on leash, but does behave as though he hasn't been on many leash walks. He isn't clear on the walking straight ahead concept yet. We're working on that.
George is great with all dogs, wanting to play with anyone and everyone. George's foster mom is in love, and says if there was a dog she would keep, it would be George.
George is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you would like to meet George, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and then send an email to scartersoo@mac.com

| Mildred adopted!
Meet Mildred, a pretty white female Labrador of 5 years. She has no dew claws telling us she is most likely an AKC registered purebred Labrador.
Based on her teets, we can tell this girl was bred probably two times and may have belonged to a registered Lab breeder.
Mildred is a very sweet and very calm purebred Lab. She is a more "American" or Field Bred Lab and is about 60 lbs now thought she should be about 65 lbs at her ideal weight. She is slightly underweight currently.
Mildred came to us from the highest kill shelter in all of California where she was brought in as a stray. We pulled her out immediately prior to euthanasia. Thank goodness we were able to save this girl. It was a very close call! And based on how lovely she is, it would have been an unbearable tragedy to lose this little lamb.
Mildred is a just doll. She is a mellow girl and is very good in the house. She's good with other dogs but is not good with cats at all and should not be placed with them.
She is enjoying the dogs she is fostered with; 2 male Labradors aged 7 and a female Labrador aged 8. They all get along nicely and even ride in the car together well.
Mildred knows the doggie door and will use it to go in and out. She is completely housebroken. She is pretty good about staying off furniture too, but on occasion you can find her curled up in your bed (not her's) with her favorite orange teddy bear. It's just too cute.
Mildred loves to go for her walks. She is pretty good on the leash but can pull a little bit at times though not too bad. She loves a nice 30 minute walk and will even go longer with you if you are in the mood. Her foster mom says she loves to get out and about.
Mildred is playful too and will play with plush toys throwing them for herself or carrying them around.
She came to us very underweight telling us someone was not feeding her and probably never walking her either. She needs to continue to build up her weight and muscle through good nutrition and leash walking. She looks so much better already!
Mildred will do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or may do fine as your one and only.
She loves people and we think she would do find with children too.
Mildred is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel you have the home Mildred deserves, please be sure you have been approved to adopt and then follow up with an email to janr4labrescue@yahoo.com

| Wiley adopted!
Meet dear Wiley, an adorable purebred pale yellow male Labrador. Wiley is a medium sized boy at about 70 lbs and is just 4 years old.
Wiley is a doll. Just a lovely boy who is so great with everyone. He loves all other dogs and people. His doggie manners are wonderful and the other dogs he is fostered with love having him around. He is playful yet calm and is the perfect combination of a fun active boy and an easy going house companion.
Wiley came to us from a very bad high kill shelter where he owners turned him in because they just didn't want him anymore. Nice huh? Well we can't imagine that having him in our group now. Especially because he is SUCH a perfect good boy and is so much joy and fun to have around. His foster mom said she will be sorry to see Wiley go!
Wiley is also good with cats. He's mildly curious and like to sniff the kitties, but he is gentle and a good boy around cats. He is a good choice for families with cat though we always like to remind people that not all cats are dog savvy. This means bringing a dog into the house can be traumatic for some cats. So think ahead!
Wiley will do great with kids. Though older kids may be best since he is a young Lab who can wiggle and wag and knock little ones over. He isn't terribly mouthy or jumpy which is a good thing.
Wiley is a beautiful pale yellow Lab with a sweet gentle expression. He has a nice classic Labby look that we love. When he was a puppy (our vet thinks) he may have broken his tail because it has a tendency to curl just a bit where our vet feels he may have had a break or injury at one time. His tail is a good healthy tail with absolutely no problem and the slight curl we think is darling and adds to his adorableness!
Wiley is a young adolescent Lab at age 4 so he will do best in a home that will provide good daily exercise, dog park as he loves other dogs, and hopefully other fun outings like dog beach and hikes. If you work long days, Wiley would love another friendly and playful canine companion to keep company with and pass the hours with.
Wiley is a happy healthy wiggler. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered.
All he needs now is the perfect home looking for the perfect boy.
If you think Wiley is the "one", please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Eva 2 adopted!
This stunning beauty queen is Eva 2. She is a gorgeous white purebred bench bred female Labrador who is 5 years old and just a tad chunky.
Eva is a lovely girl. They don't come better bred than this girl. She has show quality conformation, a giant block head and a perfect otter tail. We can barely look at her without swooning!!!!
Eva has about the best temperament of any Labrador we have had in this rescue. She is absolutely a lover of all and a big wiggler to boot. She smiles constantly and just loves everything about being a Lab.
Eva is a retired show and breeding dog. Clearly Eva has not been shown for the last year and her owner/handler allowed her to get pretty chubby. These photos were taken when we first got Eva a couple of weeks ago and she has already dropped quite a bit of weight. Her new family will want to continue this and help her reach her ideal weight of about 80 lbs.
We are looking for only the very best home for Eva. We would like her new owners to be the kind of people who love to take their dogs out on trails for example as she loves that. But she can't go that far. Eva is a bit of a couch potato and is a lower energy English Lab.
She would love a pool too as she loves to swim. And we do not wish to place her where she will be alone all day in the yard.
Eva may do ok with cats. She has met a cat and seemed disinterested. However she is currently not fostered with cats, so we don't know for sure. Though we feel certain she wouldn't be agile enough to catch one anyway!
Eva has never been with children in her life. We think she might do fine with them due to her gentle calm nature. But we would need to discuss this.
Eva loves the company of other dogs. She would love a friendly and sweet companion. Not an alpha dog or dog that is too nutty, but a calm sweet friend would be nice for her. If you don't have another dog, she would like to visit with other dogs.
If you feel Eva is right for you, be sure you have completed your application and completed a homecheck. Then feel free to follow up with an email to kwexman@mac.com

| Sweet Seala adopted!
Meet Seala, the sweetest, most beautiful girl in the whole world. Seala is a gorgeous pale yellow purebred female Labrador. She is perfect in every way.
Seala is a middle aged to older Lab at age 7-8. Given that Labradors are puppies until age 2 and adolescents until age 4, Seala is really just at the most perfect adult age with her trouble making behind her and left with nothing but the perfection of a mature English Lab.
Seala is wonderful with all other dogs. She is very gentle and calm and has a wonderful way with the other Labs she is fostered with. And they gravitate to Seala which is so lovely to see.
She loves her person. A true cuddle bug, Seala is just all about love, love, love. She loves to be where you are, watching you or laying by your feet. She is a wonderful companion dog.
Seala is fostered on a lovely property which has a nice orchard. She loves roaming around smelling the flowers and taking in the sunshine.
One of the cutest things about Sweet Seal is that she makes darling noises with the joy of rolling on her back and scratching back and forth. The other Labs love watching her do this and it is truly adorable.
Seala never barks. She is gentle and soft mouthed and just pure perfection.
Seala never counter surfs and never gets up on the furniture. She is always a lady.
Seala is perfect for a family looking for a very gentle, calm and loving Labrador who doesn't want to or cannot give the major exercise requirements of a younger active Labrador. Because she is an English Lab she is just a mellower girl and will make the best companion ever.
She is gentle, loving, shy and a very good girl. Her foster mom says that tears will surely fall the day Seala leaves her. Seala deserves only the best most loving forever home. She is just so special.
Seala is healthy, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.
If you are looking for nothing short of perfection and gentle sweetness, this English yellow girl may be for you. Please be sure you have completed your application and had your homecheck. Then follow up with an email to judithcoursonburton@gmail.com

| Brighton adopted!
Meet Brighton, a stunningly handsome 4 year old purebred yellow male Labrador. He is a light cream color - almost white boy of about 75 lbs with a handsome smile and temperment to match! This boy is a prize for sure! Brighton is an easy going boy who is great with other dogs and loves all people. He is a young boy at age 4 so does need his daily exercise of course, but he settles nicely in the house and seems to like his crate too.
Brighton came to us from a high kill shelter just outside Los Angeles where he was in immediate danger. Of course the moment we we met this boy, we knew he was coming home with us! Isn't it amazing the most wonderful dogs end up in our shelters? We are continuously surprised by these most deserving dogs who just need a little help to find homes.
Brighton is a sweet boy who walks nicely on the leash almost right next to you. He may need an occasional reminder not to pull, but he is very easy to handle on leash, and easily corrected when he pulls. And he may be enticed to chase a teasing squirrel - as most labs. He really loves his walks with his foster parents. Brighton knows most of his commands - definitely responding to the "come" command. He also knows sit & stay! Continued reminders of these commands would be great, as he could use some refreshers, but he really is a very good boy already! Brighton will do best in a home where he will get the daily exercise young Labradors need and would love to go to dog park and dog beach and even some nice hikes with his new family. He is a young Lab after all so lots of activities and fun time for this happy boy!
So far, Brighton is excellent with children of all ages! His foster family's 3 yr old niece just loves him and he is very gentle with her. So we think he will do well with a family with children. But keep in mind, any large dog can knock a toddler down. Overall, Brighton is a medium energy boy with a sweet & calm disposition! Brighton will do beautifully with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. But if you work long hours, it would be nice for Brighton to have a friend to spend days with.
We don't know how Brighton will do with kitties so we prefer not to place him with them.
Brighton is housebroken, non destructive, and settles beautifully in the house. He is happy sleeping in the room with you, either on a dog bed or in his crate. He seems to really like his crate and is a quiet good boy through the night.
Brighton is good in the car too - just settling down for the ride. And he enjoys going for car rides - especially if he thinks it's somewhere fun like dog park.
Brighton is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you think this boy is for you, please be sure to complete and submit an application to adopt and then send an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Tony adopted!
Meet Tony, a gorgeous purebred English bench bred Labrador. This shiny deep black boy has a stocky body and a nice blocky head. He's beautifully bred and is a dog almost everyone compliments. He's just that gorgeous! He has a darling expression and is as sweet and darling as he looks.
You can't really find a Labrador with better temperament than Tony. He's just the best!
Tony is a nice big boy at about 100 lbs. He is really the most mellow easy going boy who is perfect with all people, kids, and even cats. He loves everyone and is a very easy boy to have. Tony just turned 6 years of age.
Tony is a great dog. His perfect temperament makes him far and away a star among Labbies.
He's a medium energy to super mellow boy. He loves his walks and is good on a leash. He's easy to walk and he greets other dogs so nicely that walking him is a pleasure.
Tony loves all other dogs and is friendly to everyone. He likes being near his person like most Labs and will follow you around the house.
He will do great in a home where someone will give him a nice walk each day and he would love another friendly canine companion if you are gone for long work days. He is a great dog to take to the beach or even to other peoples houses as you never need to worry about him with people or other dogs.
Tony is the most mellow easy going English Lab around. Just perfection. A nice walk is more than enough exercise for this fairly mellow English Lab. He's a calm lovely boy.
Tony is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. All he needs now is a lovely family to take him home!
If you think Tony is right for your family, please be sure you have completed an application and completed your homecheck. Once this is done, feel free to send an email to nmchristopher@gmail.com

| Lana adopted
Meet our latest stunning English purebred girl we named Lana. Lana is a darling bundle of pure ADORABLE. She is our newest chocolate valentine and she is sweeter than you could ever imagine.
This chunk of perfect English Lab came to us from one of THE highest kill shelters in all of California where she was picked up as a stray and where she was in immediate danger for her life! Can you believe a beautiful baby looking like her was never claimed by an owner?
Lana is a delicious chocolate girl that is full of life. She is a solid English stocky 76 lbs and knows how to throw her weight around. But looking at her in person, she looks like a petite girl. But the stockiness of the English girl in her mean a solid gorgeous dog.
The high kill shelter aged her at two but we definitely think she is no more than a year for she is ALL PUPPY! She will need a puppy proof home for sure.
Labs at this age need a lot of stimulus or they can get into trouble. A toy box filled with squeakers, balls, kongs, nylabones and stuffed animals would make her so happy. Just keep your shoes up high. She has a thing for shoelaces.
Lana's temperament is outstanding. She loves her foster brother and would do best placed in a home with another playmate. She is submissive to her foster brother who thinks she's an annoying pup. She can also take his rough style play. Lana is a medium energy girl who settles nicely. She is not a barker but will bark at her foster brother to say "Let's play, I want to play, play with me, please!"
Lana needs a little bit of work on her commands, she will thrive in a basic obedience class. She is a very good girl already, it's just its obvious no one has worked with her. Lana is an intelligent lab that will learn very quickly and she wants nothing more than to please so teaching her her basics will be a piece of cake - chocolate cake please!
Lana is in a foster home without kitties or little children. Due to her puppy mouthiness and tendency to jump up, she will not be placed with toddlers. Lana will be all play for a few years to come as she should be. Labs are puppies until age 2 and are not even full grown until age 2 1/2. Further they remain adolescents until age 4 so lots of youngster yet to come for Lana. She will need an active home with owners that love to go to dog park and dog beach. Lana would love that. Lana loves to give kisses and big sloppy ones at that. She just is one very happy girl.
Lana is micro-chipped, vaccinated, de-wormed and on flea control.
She is recovering from an extensive spay and slight bladder infection. She is on antibiotics and has responded quickly to her medication so she can now be adopted into a loving home. She will need a home that will restrict her play until she is completely healed from her spay and will need her stitches out in about one more week.
Lana has learned to use the doggie door all by herself. Her housebreaking skills are coming along beautifully. She's almost got it!
If Lana sounds like a match for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and have had your home check. Then follow up with an email to lori@indilabrescue.org

| Grizz adopted!
Meet Grizz, a fabulous and beautiful purebred male Chocolate Labrador Retriever male. Named for "Grizzly" as his foster dad says he reminds him of a cuddly Grizzly Bear!
Grizz is just a great dog. He's a medium sized boy at about 70 lbs and he is about 3-4 years old.
Grizz is just wonderful with all people and all other dogs. He especially loves his foster brother Mulligan and the two boys enjoy hanging out together and playing.
Grizz is a medium energy young Lab who definitely needs his good daily exercise. He will do great at dog park due to his friendly nature with other dogs, and we suspect he would love dog beach and some nice weekend trail hikes.
Grizz is a great dog who is just wonderful to be around. He is well adjusted and a loving companion. He settles nicely in the house yet can turn it on for playtime, fetching, or going for nice walks. He is a good boy on the leash and passes all other dogs like a gentleman.
Grizz came to us from a very high kill shelter where his life was in immediate and urgent danger. He had come down with pneumonia and the shelter let us know he would be euthanized. Needless to say we got Grizz out immediately and got him to the vet. He has made a full and complete recovery and is just a typical healthy happy Labrador now!!!
Grizz will do best in a home where he will get daily exercise and he would also do great with another friendly canine companion - especially if you are gone long work days. He would also do well as an only dog.
We think Grizz will do great with older children. He may be good with toddlers but he can turn it on for play time so he may be too much at times for tiny tots.
This guy is a best friend kind of buddy. He is a fun and loyal boy with all the traits we so love in our Labradors.
Grizz is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
If you feel this handsome Valentine chocolate is right for your family, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Emilee adopted!
Meet Emilee, an absolutely darling purebred velvety black female Labrador. Emilee is slightly overweight at 85lbs. She should e closer to 70 lbs. She is 2-3 years of age with a beautiful sweet face and a happy, puppyish disposition.
Emilee came to us after arriving at a Los Angeles County animal shelter. Her owner was notified that she was found, but he never came for her even after repeated attempts by the shelter to have him take Emilee home. When we met Emilee we saw a very confused little girl who had come down with kennel cough and was feeling horrible. She couldn't have been happier to come home with us.
Emilee is the sweetest, happiest girl. She loves her people and is wonderful with other dogs. She even does very well with the kitty she is fostered with. She loves her toys and loves to play. Occasionally she can mistake using a shoe or sock for one of her toys but she takes correction very well and only wants to please.
Emilee is wonderful on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. She just loves her walks and will even make a great off leash dog in safe areas. She loves to go to dog park where she has made many friends and she will be a wonderful dog to take to dog beach as well.
She knows how to sit and will sit pretty for a pet or a treat. She also loves to lay at your feet and sleeps beautifully through the night. Emilee does wonderfully in her crate at night though she does not need it at all. She is fully housebroken.
Emilee is not jumpy and will do fine with older children ages 9 and above but is NOT going to do well with toddlers. She does love children, but she is too puppyish and too mouthy on occasion for toddlers.
She is a medium energy girl who settles beautifully in the house provided she has had her exercise but she is not a couch potato and must have good exercise each day. She especially loves dog park and playing with friends.
Emilee will do best in a home where she will not be alone for super long hours. She is so playful, she may get into trouble if left for long hours in the house alone without another dog to hang out with. Emilee also has a very low level of separation distress which is easily monitored through routine. She must have her exercise first and then does best left in her crate with a kong filled with goodies or a nice bully stick to chew while you run out to do things. She does not like to be left alone for a full workday so must go with a family where someone is home much of the time.
She will do best with a family committed to taking her to dog park to play and seeing to it she gets her daily walks. Also she will do best with a family who likes a very loving doggie. She loves to love her people. She bonds very strongly to her person. Emilee's favorite home would be with a single person or couple where someone works from home.
This beautiful purebred Labrador is very special. We have enjoyed having her in foster and she makes her foster mom smile all the time. She is just pure joy.
Emilee is healthy, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and will be spayed.
If you feel Emilee is the girl for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and have had your homecheck. Then follow up with an email to lori@indilabrescue.org

| Kitty adopted!
Meet sweet miss Kitty! This doll baby is an adorable 3 year old Labby girl. She is a pale yellow cream color and is just the nicest little girl around.
Kitty is a slight mix, maybe with a Golden Retriever or something, and she is just so pretty. At 3 years she is the perfect age and she has about the best temperament around.
Kitty is a submissive, gentle girl who is wonderful with all dogs, all people and of course, true to her name Kitties!!! Kitty is a great choice for a family with cats as she is so gentle and calm with them.
This girl is a typical young Lab of medium energy. She loves her daily exercise, but she settles just wonderfully in the house. She is not destructive and is completely housebroken.
Kitty loves other dogs and gets along beautifully with them. If you work all day, Kitty would love another friendly canine companion to keep her company.
Kitty came to us from a very high kill Los Angeles county shelter. Yet again, another example of a pretty amazing dog impounded in a pretty horrible place. It took but a few seconds for us to see we had a winner in Kitty and boy was she happy to come home with us!
Kitty is good on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. She is also very lady like in the car making her a nice travel companion.
She loves her people and wants to please. She loves her walks and would enjoy trips to the beach and park with her new owner.
We think Kitty will do great with young children too. She's a gentle girl and not mouthy or jumpy. But of course she is a Labby girl, therefore she could knock a toddler down without meaning to.
Kitty is a healthy girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this little doll baby is right for your family, please be sure you have completed our application and had your homecheck. Then follow up with an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Paxton adopted!
Meet Paxton, a happy and adorable purebred chocolate male Labrador! This guy is about 3 years of age, wiggly, darling, and just loves everyone, and all other dogs.!
Paxton is around 77 lbs, although he could lose 5 pounds maybe. He has a beautiful, soft chocolate coat, so he's a pleasure to pet. This medium energy sweetheart loves to play fetch, although he is not obsessive about it. He does great at dog park, although he doesn't play much with the other dogs. He can be found playing with his foster sister on occasion. Mostly he loves going for walks, and after he gets his exercise, he settles nicely in the house. Paxton is still a young boy at age 3, so he does need good daily exercise. A long walk - perhaps even a jog, or a trip to dog park or dog beach would be great for this healthy boy! Of course, a game of fetch at the park or in your yard is always welcomed by him! And Paxton does great on car trips! He jumps right in and settles right down - laying down enjoying the ride wherever you go!
He has solid temperament and is ripe to become a perfect family canine companion. He loves to please his person, is curious and wants to learn and be a good boy. He loves to cuddle with his person and give lots of kisses! Paxton likes being the center of attention and would love nothing more than getting all of your attention all the time.
Paxton will do fine in a home with another friendly canine companion. Although he would likely adore being your one and only doggie so he can enjoy all of your doggie attention! Paxton is completely housebroken and non-destructive in the house. But keep in mind, he will need his exercise before you leave him alone for long hours. He will do fine with children but because he is still young we prefer to place him with children over age 7. He can still be a jumpy boy, so older children are probably best for this boy.
If you are looking for a fun and friendly young purebred who is so much fun to have around and who is so affectionate, this guy may be for you.
Paxton is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and neutered. If you are interested in adding this boy to your family, please send an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Gacie adopted!
Looking for perfection? Meet Gacie a 3 year old yellow purebred darling and petite Labrador Retriever. Stunning in every way, she will make your heart melt. She has a beautiful head, sweet eyes, and is so much of a lover.
Gacie was found wondering the streets; no place for any dog. And when no one claimed her, Indi volunteers scooped her up. An obvious victim of neglect, she was almost black with fleas and scabs. Her ears scared with fly strike and front teeth show signs of wear from chewing constantly at flea dermititis. It was clear she was an outside only dog. But those days are over.
Gacie weighs just shy of 53 lbs, a little underweight but a nice medium - petite size. Her soft yellow coat will soon shine with continued care and nutrition. Her foster home only feeds her grain free.
Gacie is a mellow girl now learning what being an indoor dog is all about. She’s loving it! She is calm in the house, learning not to beg for food and doesn’t bark at all, even at the mailman. Due to being an outside only dog she is still learning to be housebroken but with just a little more patience she will soon.
Gacie loves to go on walks and explore the world as a companion. She is currently living with a 5 year old foster brother and is very submissive. She gets along with cats and little dogs too. She has not been around little kids but is fine with school age children.
Gacie is truly a house dog. We do not want her to know what being left in the backyard is like again. She is still trying to overcome her fear of that and with reassurance from her new family; she will reward you with kisses and loves.
Gacie is completely healthy, recently spayed and vaccinated. We put her on flea medication and de-wormed her. She is also now micro-chipped so she could never be “lost” again. Now all she needs is a family committed to her for the rest of her life. She would make a great companion to another dog or cat and those families will have priority for its not often we have dogs so well adjusted.
If you feel this sweet pea is right for you, click on our applications page and submit as soon as possible. If you have already submitted your application and have had your home check, feel free to email her foster mom lori@indilabrescue.org.

| Spooky adopted!
Meet Spooky, a stunningly gorgeous purebred male English bench bred Labrador with a giant block head and outstanding conformation to the breed standard.
Spooky is 3 year old and about 70 lbs. He has a jet black velvet coat and an adorable face and expression. He is really a fine looking example of our breed but what is more is that he also has outstanding temperament.
Spooky came to us from a very high kill shelter. He was there awhile - black dogs - even BENCH BRED purebred Labradors, simply do not get adopted. And we're glad about that in this case since the shelter area generally has not the best adopters anyway. Further this poor guy was suffering from very bad dermatitis from fleas causing him to lose some spots of fur. But not to worry, his fur is already coming back in those spots and our vet tells us his skin is clean and healed so good news!
It's hard to imagine anyone allowing a dog this beautiful to get into that condition. But it happens every day.
Spooky never had much training and he is a young boy who definitely needs his exercise. So his new owners need to commit to regular daily exercise and working with him a bit. His temperament is rock solid so for the right family this will be easy and he will be a very good boy in a very short time.
Spooky is a short stocky English lover. He can be pretty mellow when in the house and with his people, but can also really turn on the energy and playfulness with other doggies! He loves playing with other friendly dogs. He is a great dog for dog park or dog beach because of how well he gets along with other dogs. He definitely needs his daily exercise at only age 3, but he also settles calmly and beautifully in the house or in his crate. He's a really good boy.
Spooky is the perfect mix of calm indoor boy and playful energetic boy who loves to hike, go to dog park, and go on walks. He is a healthy young Labrador in working condition and is as fit as he is beautiful. He settles VERY calmly in the house and is mellow as mellow can be, but he definitely won't do that if he doesn't get his walk.
Spooky is okay with kitties but not great. He is fostered with several cats and depending on his mood, he will ignore them or may bark and chase them. He likely just wants to play and not hurt them, but if you and your cats are not very dog savvy, it may be too much. He is what we call very cat curious.
Spooky can use a bit of work in the jumping department. He will sometimes get all happy and try to jump up to say hi. He's learning that this is not ok and doing well. No one every taught him this before. He's learning, but he can forget and may need a reminder. He can also be mouthy like most Labs his age therefore it is best to place Spooky in a home where children are over age 7.
Spooky will do best in a home where he will get daily exercise and would love a friendly canine companion - especially if you are gone at work all day. He will do best where someone will continue with him on his leashwork. He can pull on the leash in the beginning and is best walked on a pinch collar.
If you are looking for a sweet GORGEOUS purebred who is really a showstopper, this may be your guy. We love this boy!
Please be sure you have submitted your application and have been homechecked. Then please shoot an email to Spooky's foster mom at scartersoo@mac.com

| Sadie 3 adopted!
Meet Sadie 3, a beeeeuuutiful purebred female Labrador. Sadie is an English bench bred girl with a glossy black coat and a nice blocky head - just what we love to see in a Labrador!
This girl is 3 years old and is for sure a chubby bunny needing to shed quite a few pounds. Sadie should be about 65-70 lbs and is currently about 90 so clearly she has been overfed and under-exercised - a no-no for any Labrador. But this healthy girl will be just fine in short order with good limited food and good daily exercise.
Sadie came to us from a very loving home where her owners were no longer able to keep her. Sadly though Sadie is wonderful with all people, she can be a little to much for toddlers and her home had toddlers - so off Sadie went to rescue.
Sadie is a very good girl. She is good on the leash and is a medium energy girl. She settles beautifully in the house but is still a young Lab and will for sure need her daily exercise, dog park, and other fun activities. And we really want her to find a home that will continue helping this bodacious babe shed her excess chub.
Sadie is amazing at home. She knows her commands and is calm in the house. She is so sweet and friendly with everyone and every dog. She shares her toys and completely enjoys her Labby foster sister.
Sadie is very good with other dogs and is pretty good with cats. However the cats she has met are very dog savvy. She is cat curious meaning if your cats are not used to dogs and ok meeting them and dealing with initial chasing, etc, than Sadie won't work with your kitties period.
Sadie is completely housebroken and non destructive in the house. She is also very good in the car and make a nice travel companion.
Sadie will do best in a home where she will get her daily exercise and where there are no children under the age of 10.
She will do fine with another friendly canine companion - a male is always best for a female - or she will do fine as your one and only true love.
Sadie is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you feel Sadie is the one for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt, had your homecheck and follow up with an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Ebu puppy adopted!
Meet little Ebu! Ebu is a darling 9 week old purebred male Labrador puppy. This little man is the cutest, most sweet little guy around and he needs only the very best of the best home!
Ebu has a pitch black coat and a very nice head. He will be a beautiful Labador!
This little guy was turned in with his mom who will also be made available for adoption soon.
Ebu is just 9 weeks, so he is still a baby. His new home must be 100% committed to puppyhood including housebreaking, crying at night, and the ability to keep Ebu home and safe until he has received his full 3 rounds of puppy vaccines and is safe from contracting any illness. Puppies cannot go into the outside world until they are fully immunized.
Ebu is a gentle and pretty calm little guy. But for sure he will be a playful puppy as all Lab puppies are. This means once he is ready for the outside world, he will require a LOT of exercise as all Labrador puppies do. If you cannot dedicate close to 2 hours of exercise or park time a day, you should look at an older dog. No Lab puppy does well without this. And remember Labs are PUPPIES for TWO FULL YEARS. A 1 1/2 year old Labrador is NOT an adult dog. Puppy applicants must consider this.
Ebu will need a crate to keep safe in and to help him get potty trained. And of course he needs a family where at least one adult is home during the day for at least the next few months.
Little Ebu is healthy and has received his first round of vaccinations. He will be due to receive his next round of vaccines in 3 more weeks and the last round 3 weeks after that.
He has been wormed and is microchipped and a neuter deposit will be taken at the time of his adoption.
If you feel you have the dedication, love, and patience to welcome a purebred Labrador puppy into your home forever, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and have had your homecheck.
Then please follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Gretel adopted!
Meet Gretel! Gretel is a very sweet, loving, and truly beautiful purebred female Weimaraner. She is 3 years old and is the sweetest, gentlest, most loving girl you will ever meet. And not only is she a beauty, she is just 65 lbs so a petite perfect size!
Gretel came to us from one of the highest kill shelters in Southern California where she was brought in as a stray. We watched and we waited once we saw her there, certain that he family would come for her...who could leave a beautiful, sweet and loving dog like Gretel at the shelter? When the time came and her family was still nowhere to be found, we went and got her and promised her that she would never be alone or feel abandoned again.
Though her visit to the shelter was extremely stressful and she was afraid, when we picked Gretel up, she sweetly and submissively hopped in the car with her foster mom's other Weimy girl and cuddled right in as if she had been part of the family all along. What a doll this girl is! Gretel is the most loving girl. She is great with people, dogs, and even with cats so she is a great choice for a family with kitties! She may chase a kitty who runs, just for the fun of it, but will be fine with a kitty who is dog savvy. Like all Weims, Gretel will do best with a family who can spend a lot of time with her. She loves other dogs and would do well in a home with another canine companion to play with. She is such a people dog, though, that she would also do fine as your one and only dog, as long as you have lots of time and love to give her. She will not do well left alone for super long work days without a friend to keep company. After all, she is a Weimaraner and a true companion pup. She has perfect doggie manners and the other dogs really like her company. She has a perfect mix of playful nature and calmness when it's time to relax. She likes her walks and she likes playing, then it's time to settle down and watch some TV or just hang out with the family.
She settles exceptionally well and does not display ANY of the "hyper" behavior that Weims are known for. She is calm, settled and extremely well-adjusted. She is simply the easiest dog when she is in the house, and has never caused any kind of a problem. She is non destructive, completely housebroken and just a pleasure to have around. And, she is smart! Although she doesn't seem to have any formal training, she really wants to please her people and has already learned to "sit" for a treat. Whoever adopts her will enjoy working with her on learning more commands, Weims are brilliant and easy to train, and Gretel is no exception.
Gretel is good on a leash and would love a family who can take her for regular walks and trips to the dog park and the dog beach so she can get to know lots of other dogs. She is a social family dog who is a pleasure to take anywhere. Even in the car, she is a perfect lady. Gretel is ready to go to her new home! She is spayed and micrcochipped, up to date on shots. If you think you have enough love to share with Gretel, send an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com to set up a time to meet her. Make sure that we have your approved application on file, first, please!

| Newport adopted
Meet Newport, a happy and adorable purebred yellow male Labrador! This guy is between 1-2 years of age, wiggly, darling, and just loves everyone, all other dogs, and even seems good with cats!
Newport is a perfect size at around 70 lbs. He is a beautiful yellow color with the perfect burnt sugar brown Labrador eyes. His expression makes him look both dopey and adorable at the same time and boy is he hard not to fall in love with.
This medium energy sweetheart is such a good boy. He likes playing with his foster siblings, loves going for walks, and after he gets his exercise, he settles nicely in the house. He's also wonderful on car trips!
Newport loves the water! He is a true Labrador. It can be hard at times to keep him out of his foster mom's Koi pond! He likes going in an just laying down with a look on his face as if he is wondering why no one else is joining him. He would love to go with a family who has a pool, or where his new owners will take him to dog beach now and then.
Newport is still a young boy. Labradors are puppies until full grown at 2 years of age. He is just right around that age now. So this guy will need to get his good daily exercise, trips to dog park to play, and maybe a bit of continued training to get him to be just the perfect dog.
He has solid temperament and is ripe to become a perfect family canine companion. He loves to please his person, is curious and wants to learn and be a good boy.
Newport will do fine in a home with another friendly canine companion around his age or a bit older or younger who enjoys company and will enjoy playing now and then.
He will do fine with children but because he is still young we prefer to place him with children over age 7. Families with toddler and young children simply do not have the time or available commitment to young Labradors as they are too busy with their kids.
He would love owners who will provide exercise each day as all younger Labradors require. If you are looking for a friendly young purebred who is so much fun to have around and who is so affectionate, this guy may be for you.
Please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and follow up with an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Ruger adopted!
Ruger, the sweetest and most beautiful purebred male Weimaraner around. He comes with AKC papers. This beautiful boy is such a good boy with a wonderful heart and calm easy disposition. He is truly a gentle giant.
Ruger is 3 years old and has lovely temperament. At about 85 lbs, Ruger is a gentle boy who is beautifully bred and the perfect size for a handsome purebred male Weimaraner.
Ruger is a true lover. He really loves his people and is such a good boy in the house. He is obedient and trained and knows some commands. All he wants to do it please his person and he loves to be close and by your side.
He is wonderful in the car, in the house, at dog park, and really just anywhere you want to take him. He loves to go on errands with his person or is just as happy to stay home with his doggie pals.
Ruger came to us because his mom was getting older and felt she did not have the time needed to devote to him. She did not want to give him away but her work schedule changed and no longer allowed her to be with him very much. All she asked is that we do our very best to find Ruger the best home there is. He was a beloved family member and we want that for him again.
Ruger is doing great in foster and seems ready to go on to his new forever home. He is very happy and content and is just ready for someone to love him again.
Ruger is fitting in beautifully in his foster home where he gets along wonderfully with all the other dogs he is fostered with including other Weims. He is good with other dogs but is not good with cats. He does like children, but because of his size we prefer he only be placed with older children.
Ruger is a medium energy calm dog. He will need and will enjoy his good daily exercise and then he will settle perfectly in the house. He has lovely house manners and is housebroken.
Ruger was always a loved dog and was raised in a good home, so there is little to do in terms with working on house skills. He is a calm gentleman and a wonderful indoor buddy.
Although Ruger is a mellow guy, he also has lots of spunk if you feel like a hike too. He will go with the flow. If you are in the mood for a hike or jog he's right their with you. Or if it's a rainy day and you want to curl up under the blankets, Ruger will be by your side. He is the perfect mix of easy and fun and blends right in.
Ruger is a very healthy happy boy who just wants to be a best friend. You really couldn't do better than to have the love of this fellow. And in return, Ruger will give you such loyalty and love.
Ruger is a very healthy sound boy who has been neutered and microchipped and he is up to date on vaccines.
Ruger will do best in a home with another friendly canine companion to keep him company if you are away long hours. Or he would do great as your one and only if you are not gone super long days. Most Weims are real companion dogs and don't love life left alone all day. They can get lonely and bored and are happiest with a friend.
He will do best with a family who will take him out for a nice walk each day and maybe some weekend outings. And he is so well behaved he can even accompany you to work if your employer permits dogs.
If you would like to meet Ruger, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Nutmeg adopted!
Meet Nutmeg, a BEAUTIFUL, gentle 4 year old purebred AKC registered female Labrador. This chocolate bunny is just so sweet and slightly shy and has a wonderful disposition.
Nutmeg is a calm girl who bonds very closely to her person. She would love to be a lap doggie. And since she is not a big Lab, she really could be! Nutmeg is 60 lbs and is a perfect size female Lab.
She is very good with all other dogs and is submissive. And she is perfect with cats so a good choice for someone with kitties.
Nutmeg is a former breeder dog who has spent most of her life living in a kennel. So the outside world was very new to her when we got her. She has adjusted beautifully but is still a pretty low key shy girl in many ways. Little children would be too much for her and she prefers a calmer household. She would be perfect for even a senior couple or person to adopt as she is so easy to walk and easy to have around and she loves to lay right at your feet.
This special girl is truly a beauty. Her deep dark chocolate coat and soulful eyes just suck you in. She loves to be close to you and even loves going on errands with you in the car. And because she is so calm in the car she is easy to take with you!
Nutmeg will not do her best left alone for long hours without another friendly canine companion. She is fostering beautifully with other dogs and really loves them. She will even cuddle up to another dog and sleep next to them. It's darling.
She will do fine as your one and only so long as someone is around much of the time. She has spent much of her life without tons of human contact so she really loves that and we want her to have a home that will provide all the love she so deserves.
Nutmeg walks beautifully on the leash. She stops when you stop and she is not a puller. She passes other dogs calmly and sweetly.
She has enjoyed her many trips to the beach and trails. She's not a high energy girl but she does so enjoy the activity and walking around with her foster mom.
This little doe-like Lab is just perfect in so many ways. In a calmer household surrounded by love she will be the perfect dog.
Nutmeg is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, wormed and current on flea medication. She's just had a nice teeth cleaning too so she is sporting pearly whites!
If you feel this lovely sweetheart is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to kwexman@mac.com

| Hanna Mae adopted!
If you are looking for perfection, you will definitely want to hear about this darling girl.
Meet Hannah Mae - a shiny black Labby girl of 3 years. She is very calm, loving, and sweet girl and has outstanding temperament.
Hannah Mae is on the smaller side at about 50 pounds and she is truly a gentle and dainty girl. She has beautiful brown eyes and a perfect black nose. Just look at her darling face!
Hannah Mae ended up at a very high kill shelter - which is just so hard to believe because she is such a sweet and loving dog! She was turned in by her family when their other dog attacked her, tearing her ear. We heard she was just hours away from being put to sleep, so we immediately rescued her to help her find the best forever home! Her ear has been repaired surgically and has healed very nicely, the stitches will be out by the time she is adopted.
Hannah Mae is almost perfection in so many ways! At just 3 years old, she is quite a calm and mellow girl. She loves her daily walks - and does really well on leash - walking at the end of the leash, but barely pulling at all. And after a lovely morning walk - where she walks so easily right at your side, she will settle down well in the house to rest. This is just an easy, calm and ladylike sweetheart who is nothing but joy to be with.
Even though Hanna Mae is so gentle and calm, we are not sure how she will do with toddlers, because she has not met any while in foster, so we would prefer to place her with older children, of perhaps 7 yrs or older.
She is obedient - listening when you correct her with a firm calm no, and listens very well. She really wants to please her person and is proud when she does. She is totally housebroken and well behaved in the house and will spend time in a crate if you want her too.
Hannah Mae loves all people and all doggies. And she is wonderful with kitties too! So if you have cats in your home, Hannah Mae is a great choice - she basically ignores them.
She is as lovely as they come greeting every person she meets with a smile and wag - just asking to be pet. Hanna Mae would do well as your one and only, or with another canine companion!
Hannah Mae has all of the characteristics we look for in our dogs. She has no aggression is well adjusted, and really wants to please her person. She is being fostered in an equestrian community so has had the opportunity to meet horses, and she does very well with them. She seems to think they are very big dogs! Because she is such a calm and gentle dog, and because she is so wonderful with all dogs and cats, she is the perfect dog to take with you most anywhere. She is trustworthy and loving and will make her new family very, very happy.
Hannah Mae is healthy girl who is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. If you have an approved application on file with us, please email IndiWeimGirl@aol.com if you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting this darling labby girl!

| Taz adopted!
Meet Taz - a shiny gorgeous purebred male Labrador of about 2 years. This boy is wonderful! He has a very sweet nature! He is about 65 lbs with a slender body - ultimately, he should fill out to about 70 lbs. Taz has a great blocky head and lovely conformation.
This guy came to us as a stray from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter where he was in immediate danger. Any Lab at a shelter is in danger, but black Labs are in the most danger. This is partly because some people don't like black dogs in general, but mostly because the dark kennels don't allow the dark dogs to pop out as much so most people walk right on by them never seeing the dog at all.
Taz is doing very well in his foster home. As he settles into his foster home, he becomes more comfortable and feels safer every day! He needs a family that will give him leadership and affection in a gentle fashion so he can gain his confidence back as a safe family member in a new home! He is a lover of a lab who just wants to be close to his people. After he gets his exercise, he settles right down in the house - will follow you from room to room like any lovable lab, and just finds a resting spot where he can be near you!
Taz is an easy going boy but he is a very young Lab who needs a lot good daily exercise. He is fostered with several other dogs and gets along wonderfully with them all. Since he is a young boy, having doggie play dates or visits to the dog park would be great for him!
Taz is a medium to higher energy boy who settles down beautifully in the house after his exercise. But he is still a youngster at just about 2 years of age so lots of exercise, lots of dog park play time, and plenty of patience is in order. He would benefit from a family that will do some training or a dog obedience class with him - to help him remember his basic commands. This is also a great way to bond with him so he knows your home is one where he will be safe & secure for a lifetime!
This boy will do great in a home with older children over age 7. He would probably prefer a calmer household where there's not a lot of kids running around all day. Because he is still young and a bit clumsy, we would prefer to place him with children over age 7. A toddler might get accidentally knocked over, so kids a bit older will be fine for him!
Taz is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He now just needs his forever home! Please contact IndiWeimGirl@aol.com if you want to meet him. Make sure that you have an approved application on file with us, first!

| Moonlight adopted!
Meet Moonlight! She is for sure one of the sweetest weims on the planet. She is a purebred papered silver Weimaraner, and she is 3 yrs old.
She came to us from a family who had used her to breed pups. When they decided to get out of the puppy business, it was ours, and Moonlight's, lucky day, because since she had already been bred, she would have her LAST litter in a wonderful, warm, safe place surrounded by people who love and care about her, and who will make sure that these puppies are the last ones she will ever raise. Moonlight needs someone who will show her lots of affection. She likes kisses on the face! She loves sweet talk and likes to lay next to you . She would be MOST happy sleeping in bed with her people, but MAY settle for her own bed in the bedroom. She is not a dog who can be separated from her family at night. Because Weims are smart and sensitive, Moonlight is a little tentative and shy when meeting new people, but she warms up very quickly, and will be your best friend in no time!
She is calm and comforting in the house, and is kind and respectful of other dogs and people, too. She also gets along great with kids, since she was raised in a home with kids of all ages. If she thinks you like her, she will nudge your hand ever so gently to get you to pet her. She loves to run and play on grass, and when she runs she prances like a deer! So graceful and elegant, she is really something to see! She is so happy and playful outside. Because she is still a young dog with a lot of energy, she will need to be taken on walks every day, with a trip to the dog park or dog beach as often as possible! Since she has been in foster, she has learned to "sit", and she will learn many more commands very quickly with a little work. She was never taught them as a puppy, but she is smart and will pick things up very fast!
We are looking for a special home for this special girl, a home where she will be able to spend lots of time with her family. The ideal situation for her would be a home in which one adult was home most of the time, because like most weims, she really does not like to be alone for long hours without another canine companion.
If you think you can offer her a new start, please fill out an application on our web site, then send an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com to set up a time to meet Miss Moonlight!

| Braedon adopted!
Meet Braedon, a darling, mellow, and easy going goof of a Lab who just loves everyone and everything. This boy is a catch with his giant blocky head, darling saggy face, and sweet gentle disposition.
Braedon is fostered with Mochi, a 12 pound doxi who he just adores. He is just a gentle sweet boy. Braedon is a charming and loving 4 yo yellow male who is a very slight mix but very Labby and with all the personality traits we love about our breed. He is at a perfect weight for his frame at about 75-80 pounds. Braedon is one of the lucky labs that got to come to the USA from Taiwan through our rescue partner Tuapa. When Indi Lab is able and has space, we do offer some of these needy and lovely Labs a fresh start. Some of our best and sweetest Labbies have come from Taiwan. They are just the best doggies and are always without exception wonderful with all other dogs.
All Taiwan Labs are completely vet checked and approved and have received snap tests for all disease. These are healthy pupsters!
Braedon is incredibly well socialized with people and other dogs. He takes all creatures in stride with a gentle ease and gets along with everyone. Being spoiled is all new to him and he loves his cushy dog beds and lounging in his crate with the door open! You can read his body language easily...his tail curls upright when he is curious of new smells and situations...and just as fast he takes it in stride and you see his otter tail. He has a lovely large head and folds in his cheeks with that dopey cute furrow on his brow. It's hard not to want to hug and kiss this boy constantly when you look at that face! He will be a perfect companion to any dog of any breed or size. He's great with the little doggies! He is also a therapy type of temperament, calm when not playing and never jumps up so he might be nice for families with a little one or kitties. And if you've always wanted a therapy dog he is already most of the way there with this temperament. A little training and he could easily be certified to do therapy work. Braedon would like a loving person or family that will give just a little bit of training. He is learning to walk nicely on the leash without pulling and is learning all his commands. He really wants to please his person and has such a lovely personality that continuing his training will be very, very easy.
He would also like a home where he will get his good daily exercise, trips to dog park or dog beach and just fun things to do. He is still a younger Lab and has the perfect mix of calm, easy goof, and friendly wiggly happiness. In the house he is calm and quiet and on his walks he is spirited and happy.
Braedon is a healthy boy who is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. All he needs now is a new loving forever home.
This boy will bring which ever family who is lucky enough to adopt him, a lifetime of joy and loyalty.
If you feel Braedon is the boy for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and have had your homecheck, then follow up with an email to TheRoseGarden21@aol.com

| Daisy Mae's puppies! adopted!
Meet Daisy Mae's little ones, all females, 8 weeks old and ready for new loving homes.
Daisy Mae is a purebred yellow Labby girl. Her puppies are Lab mixes and are as cute and sweet as they come. I mean seriously look at these babies!!!!
We do not know who dad is of course, but we think he was a Labrador mix and mom is of course a purebred English girl.
These little girls were born in a high kill shelter. Poor Daisy Mae was forced to deliver them in a very stressful dirty place. Luckily Indi Lab volunteers got this little family out and to a vet immediately so Mama and pups could be safe, clean, and in a stress free home to nurse and grow.
Foster mom Lori has taken excellent care of this little family and is now ready to screen homes for adoption.
All puppies are healthy, happy, and have been wormed per puppy scheduling as advised by our Vet. They have all had their first round of puppy shots and next week can go to their forever homes!
Puppies are a big life long commitment. So please be sure you are ready for this before inquiring. Puppy homes must have someone home much of the time as puppies cannot be left to fend for themselves.
If you feel you are ready to add a darling Lab mix puppy to your home, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and had your homecheck. Then follow up with an email to lori@indilabrescue.org

| Jazzy adopted!
Meet Jazzy! Jazzy is a darling and sweet purebred yellow Labrador of about 5-6 years. She is a buttery yellow with a beautiful face and loves, loves, loves her people.
Jazzy is about 70 lbs, and is a healthy gorgeous girl. She is between English and American in her conformation and is so pretty you cannot walk her around without comments and pets.
Jazzy is a very calm, mellow girl. She loves her walks and has energy, but honestly this is a low key easy sweetheart who is just perfect in the house and loves to be near her person getting pets or laying by your feet. Just perfection.
Jazzy is wonderful on the leash, knows her basic commands and is housebroken. She is not destructive in the house and is not a barker. She's is really very lady like and will do well in most families preferably as an only dog.
Jazzy is tolerant of other dogs, but doesn't really want to live with another dog. She likes all the attention for herself and boy does she deserve it.
Walking Jazzy is very nice. She is good on the leash and passes other dogs and people nicely. Her calmness and easy going way make her such a lovely walking companion.
She is also very good in the car and rides nicely. She will wait patiently for you while you run an errand.
Jazzy sleeps nicely on her bed through the night and has her potty training skills perfected. She will wait for you to get up in the morning to take her out.
We think Jazzy will do best in a home where she will be an only dog and where her new owners really are looking for a very sweet and calm girl who is just full of love. Her gentle little tail wag and constant smile make her irresistible!
We found Jazzy in a fairly high kill Los Angeles county shelter. We were so surprised to find such a beautiful purebred girl with such good temperament there. She did not like all the noise and barking and was a little frightened so we were thrilled to get her out.
When we first brough Jazzy home she immediately got sick with kennel cough and was just miserable. We gave her time to heal and settle in before having her spayed. Now she is just perfectly settled and so happy to be in a loving foster home where she is cared for, loved, and has a warm soft bed to lay on.
If you are looking for a nice calm purebred who is loaded with love, Jazzy may be your girl.
Please be sure to complete an application to adopt, and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Rocheby adopted!
This stunning champion bred beautiful girl is Rocheby. "Rocheby" from the name of her breeding line. She is a show quality yellow bench bred female Labrador of 5 years imported directly from Rocheby in England. Rocheby has perfect conformation and temperament and is a very special dog.
Rocheby came to us after being retired from breeding and showing. Her kennel wanted her to have a family life outside the show arena so here she is!
It's virtually unheard of for a Labrador of this line to be available at all, let alone through rescue. Any person wanting a Rocheby Lab would be on a wait list possibly for years, pay thousands of dollars and that dog would need to be imported. This should give families some idea of the perfect temperament of a dog like Rocheby and the history her lines provide to us. All this not to mention that this line is hip and eye certified. Something impossible to know without the history of a line of Labradors. She is sound and extremely healthy.
In addition, Rocheby will NOT come with her AKC papers due to a non-disclosure signed with her breeder/owner.
This girl is wonderful with all people and all dogs. She is a mild mannered sweetheart of medium to lower energy typical for English bench bred Labradors.
Rocheby loves her walks, but does not need super long hikes nor are they really appropriate for her. Just a nice walk and maybe some time at dog park or dog beach would be perfect for her. This is a very calm and mellow girl.
She would love a home with a LOT of love and attention. Because she spent much of her life living in a kennel and not inside a home, she really deserves so much love and attention now and boy does she just melt your heart.
Rocheby would love to be placed with another friendly canine companion. She so enjoys the company of other dogs. She is not super playful, but mildly so, and just loves being near her people and other dogs, gently wagging her tail and being just a happy girl 24-7.
Rocheby is completely trust worthy in the house. She is not anxious or destructive and she is wonderful in the car too, riding like a little lady.
This is the kind of dog you can take anywhere - to anyone's home, to dog beach, dog park, or even around toddlers or the elderly. She is a perfect candidate for therapy work.
Rocheby has just been spayed and had her teeth cleaned. She has been wormed and is current on flea control. She is also up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
If you feel this special girl is right for your family, please be sure you have completed an application and had your homecheck. Then feel free to shoot an email to her foster mom at kwexman@mac.com

| Bonita adopted!
Meet Bonita, a pretty pale yellow - white purebred Labrador female of 3 years. She is an average sized Lab with a nice head and is slightly English though not totally short and stocky. She is a very darling girl in every way.
Bonita is a very sweet girl of medium energy who is very much a velcro doggie, loving to be close to her person or people and just a total lover.
She is wonderful with other dogs and gets along beautifully with her foster brother, a 3 year old male Labrador. She is also great at dog park though she is mellower and doesn't play non-stop. She does enjoy greeting people and dogs and like to frequently come back to her foster dad to check in.
Bonita is good on the leash and doesn't pull much. She responds to quick correction and falls right back in line. She is a very nice walking companion!
This little girl does best with someone home a lot or with a doggie door to come in and out. She is not an outdoor back yard dog in any way shape or form and does not want to be left outside in the yard for 8-9 hours without a way inside to her home. So long as she can go in and out she will do fine as she is completely housebroken and non-destructive. She have lovely house manners. She even likes her crate to lay in if you like.
Left alone for 8-9 hours without a companion in a yard without a dog door in, Bonita will bark to be let inside. So doggie door homes or homes where she will have full house access are a must and she does deserve it given her outstanding house manners and good behavior. With house access, this girl is a dream. Or if you must run out for a couple of hours, leaving Bonita in the house in or out of her crate is perfect. She is such a good girl and trustworthy.
We think who ever owned her must have locked her outside 24-7 and she has had enough of that life. She wants to be with her people or allowed to come in the house. Who can blame this gorgeous girl!
Bonita rides well in the car too. She is a real lady and enjoys trips with her foster dad.
We do not know how Bonita would do with cats, so we will not look to place her with them.
Bonita will do best in an adult household or with children over age 10. Highly active, loud children are just not what she wants. And even though we know she would be lovely with ALL children, we choose to find her a home that is in line with what SHE would most enjoy.
This is a lovely girl who is very mellow and easy going. She can turn it on for hikes if you want, but she is also equally content with short walks and laying by your feet. She can be playful with you or a couch potato depending on your plans and desires.
Bonita is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you think this easy going and beautiful lady-like queen is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application and been homechecked and approved.
Then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org to learn more about our girl.

| Sneakers adopted!
Meet Sneakers, a beautiful AKC purebred English bench bred female Labrador of 5 years. This girl is a very special Lab and is from 100% champion lines meaning there is not one dog in her line that is not a champion bred English Labrador. Her beauty and temperament are unsurpassed. This is a very well bred Labrador from 100% Sandylands and Simerdown lines. She is of all English import lines and is show quality.
If you think you should ask about Sneakers just because she is a highly bred beautiful Labrador, that is the wrong reason. She is like any other Labby - needs her exercise, can get into trouble, and carries an equally important life long commitment from her new family. In fact because she is a show Lab, she will require a bit of work including learning some commands and leash work. Show dogs in general do not sit on command as they are taught not to since that is a point deduction. And normally dogs like this are not regularly walked and live most of their lives in kennels with little outside walking. Sneakers does great in almost any situation, but she is still getting her leash walking skills and other commands under her belt so her new family must gently continue her training.
She is completely housebroken.
Sneakers is a very loving, playful and sweet girl. She is wonderful with all people including children and the elderly and is wonderful with other dogs and even cats. Though she has been noted to chase a kitty now and then for a bit of fun.
Sneakers definitely is more of an alpha female and does enjoy being top dog. But really is very good with all other dogs at the same time. We would love to see her go to a home with another friendly canine companion - preferably male - who enjoys all her affections.
She is currently fosters with a male Labrador and she adores him. She especially likes to completely groom him including practically giving him a full bath! And he of course loves it!
Sneakers loves swimming in her foster mom's salt water pool too! She is a real water dog true to her breed.
This playful girl enjoys wrestling and chasing games with her foster Labby brother and loves roaming the large property where she is fostered.
Sneakers is retired from her breeding program and has been spayed. She will NOT come with her papers as we are not permitted to provide disclosure on her breeding.
Sneakers is a very special girl with a very special heart. They really don't come any sweeter than this girl. We are looking for a special home for this doll baby and will be picky about her placement.
Sneakers is very healthy and hip and eye certified. She is newly spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, wormed and current on flea control.
Formerly living mostly in a kennel outdoors as do all breeder dogs, she has a very thick beautiful coat. However now that she is a 100% house dog, she is starting to blow coat (shed her undercoat). This means lots of shedding for the next month and plenty of brushing! So if shedding bothers you, please don't ask us about Sneakers.
Sneakers is a young girl who will need daily exercise, beach trips, and the like. She is not a couch potato though she is very calm and non destructive in the house.
If you feel you are the right home for this beauty and you have completed you application, been homechecked and approved, please shoot an email to Sneaker's foster mom at judithcoursonburton@gmail.com

| Daisy Mae adopted!
Meet Daisy Mae, a darling 3-yr old butterball purebred English Labrador female who is as adorable and lovely as they come.
Sweet Daisy Mae, so young to be a momma was forced to give birth in a LA County shelter on Dec. 1st. IndiLab Rescue volunteers were alerted to this and rushed over to rescue her right away so she could be warm and safe in a quiet foster home caring for her new born babies. Here 4 healthy female pups are now ready to be considered for placement in loving homes and are listed on this web page as well. They are 8 weeks next week!
Gentle Daisy Mae has survived a lot, a past we won't truly understand or ever want for her again. She deserves to be a shining star. Through her stressful ordeal, she has been nothing but lovely and such a good mama to her babies in her foster home.
Daisy Mae craves attention and needs a lot of reassurance. She will be the best companion one could ever ask for. She is good with children and not afraid of men however she is a little shy but with constant love, this she will overcome in time. This girl had a very rough start but we know we can find her a loving forever home.
Daisy Mae is completely housebroken and already knew how to use the doggy door. Based on her past, she only wants to be outside to potty and unless you can sit with her giving her loves, she promises to be good inside.
Daisy Mae still needs to work on her socialization skills and might be best as the only dog as she becomes more comfortable and confident. She has learned how to walk nicely on a leash, sit and lie down. Her favorite thing is to be cuddled up in your arms being brushed and loved.
Daisy Mae has spent the last six weeks being the best momma ever. Now its her turn to be showered with attention and love.
Daisy Mae is current on vaccinations, de-wormed, and micro-chipped. Its too soon to spay her but its not to soon to adopt her with her new family bringing her back to spay at our vet when it's time.
If she sounds like a girl you have been waiting for please fill out an application to adopt. Once you have had your home-check by one of our volunteers, you can contact her foster mom by email at Lori@IndiLabRescue.org

| Hensley
Meet Hensley, an adorable purebred yellow male Labrador of just about 2 years old. This yellow boy is beautiful with a gorgeous golden yellow coat, a great blocky head and beautiful soulful burnt sugar eyes. Hensley is also a nice size of about 75 pounds though he could stand to fill out just a bit.
He is a happy, labby boy who is gentle, submissive, and full of more love than you can imagine. Hensley is a wonderful Lab who loves his people and and other dogs. And true to his breed, he loves to retrieve. He will fetch a tennis ball, a football, or even a soccer ball - he's an all around sporty guy. And boy is he proud to bring it right back to you!
He is wonderful with people and lovely with all other dogs - both big & small. He gets along beautifully with his Labby sister in his foster home and he enjoys meeting new people and new dogs. Pretty much anything in life is wonderful to this guy. Hensley was picked up as a stray by one of the highest kill shelters in California where he then stayed on a hard concrete floor with the saddest face, just waiting to be rescued. This boy has the best temperament and the constant labby tail wag. He likely had a hard life before coming to us as he has clearly lived outside on concrete as evidenced by his elbow patches. Luckily at his age, some good moisturizer and those will go away in no time. There is also a small scar which you have to look for on his back. It looks as though he may have gotten a chemical burn there and that really breaks out heart knowing the sweet gentle nature of this purebred boy.
Since the moment we got him out of the shelter, everyone has fallen in love with him and he couldn't be happier and more thankful to be starting a fabulous new life! He just has a way about him that makes pretty much everyone smile and want to pet him. He's the kind of dog that brings joy everywhere he goes.
Hensley is a slightly submissive boy and he fits the breed standard to a T; he's as friendly and kind as they come and just look at that face! DARLING! Pretty much everything we love about our Labby breed. As a young Lab he needs just a brush up on some basic training, He knows his commands of sit & stay, and we are working on more commands now. He settles so well in the house and really is a mellow-medium energy boy. He does well in his crate overnight and rides beautifully and calmly in the car. For a young Labrador this guy is a very well behaved easy going boy. Hensley can pull on leash, and is still learning to not zig zag back & forth, so walking on a training collar for a while would benefit this boy. He is learning very quickly how to walk next to his leader with a loose leash. This boy would do great at dog park, he loves hiking, and walks are his favorite. He is still a young boy who needs good daily exercise, but he is a pretty mellow boy who settles very well after having his exercise.
Hensley is not mouthy, but he can jump up for a hug from his favorite humans, so children over 5 are probably best for this boy. He rides great in the car and waits patiently while you run in to do errands - what a good boy! Hensley would do wonderfully with another friendly doggie companion or he will do nicely as your one and only. He does great with both little dogs & big dogs. He deserves a loving owner who will shower him with affection and attention! Hensley is a healthy boy who is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He will be neutered this week and then ready to go to his new forever home!
If you would like to meet Hensley, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Max 3 adopted!
Meet Max 3, a beautiful white-yellow male purebred Labrador Retriever who is the sweetest, most loving boy. Max is just about 80 lbs which is perfect for the breed standard and is about 3 years old.
This boy is really a gorgeous Labrador with a gorgeous coat and nice blocky head. And his temperament is outstanding!
We just love this boy! He is obedience trained for the most part so knows his commands like sit, down, and even shake! But he does tend to pull on the leash at times and walks best on a pinch collar. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night in his crate all snuggly.
Max loves people and loves meeting new people. He's a typical wiggly Labrador who is extremely social. He loves his walks, love to go places and be part of the scene. He's a good boy in the car too!
Max is good with other dogs. He is fostered with another male Labrador Retriever and they do very well together, enjoying each other's company.
Max is a medium energy boy who definitely needs his daily exercise and then settles beautifully in the house. He likes being in the house with his person or canine friends. He also enjoys time in the back yard with his foster brother.
Max will do best in a home where he will get his daily exercise and lots of attention, petting, and love. He will do great with another friendly canine companion but would also do well as an only dog so long as his new owners are prepared to transition Max into being an only dog left alone at times.
We do not know how Max will do with cats so we are no looking to place him with kitties at this time.
Max is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. All that's needed now, is for his new lucky, loving, forever family to bring him home!
If you are interested in this love bug, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to Donna@indilabrescue.org

Murphee adopted!
Murphee is an ADORABLE, English lab of six years. He doesn’t know that behind his back we call him a big fat love muffin, and we’d hate to hurt his feelings, but he could stand to lose a few pounds. He makes excellent use of his extra poundage when he’s giving you that loving you SO deserve. He puts it all into his kisses, sit (always on your foot!) and his down (totally on his back, all four feet in the air ready for a belly rub! If you take this sweet, goofball home with you, you will never wonder again if you are lovable. Every day, Murphee will make it clear that every inch of you is lab-lovable and perfect.
He’s housetrained, doesn’t get on the furniture or counter surf and is a very good boy in the crate. He also makes himself quite happy in your absence. If you leave him with a toy or a rawhide, well, then he’s just that much more happy and eager to thank you when you come home. This is a dog that would do well in a working family and one that is home a lot.
Murphee is an excellent family dog, loving all people of all ages, children AND CATS! He settles nicely in the house after transitioning. He’s not jumpy or mouthy, so is a great choice for children and he’d be super in a busy household. He’s amazing on leash, and you will enjoy giving him three (only til he loses the weight) short walks a day. If you also gave a sufficient rather than generous ration of food, we’re pretty sure that weight would just fly off. He has low exercise needs, so if you’re busy and can only fit in short walks, that would work out just fine for Murphee. If you like to hike and want Murphee to be your companion, then no problem. He’d love to keep you company. You’ll just have to work up to it slowly.
Murphee is a great water dog. He LOVES to swim and looks like a white baby seal in the water. He loves to swim beside you and will go right into the pool. He would love to live with a family that has a pool or will take him to the beach a lot.
We think Murphee would be a fabulous only dog. He does not have high attention requirements, though he loves to be with you and is among the most affectionate dogs we’ve seen. He bonds quickly with humans so does not need a canine companion. On the other hand, if you have a friend for Murphee, he is a good, mellow canine companion. He likes other dogs, especially little dogs, and stays out of their way. He’s just not very playful with other doggies.
Murphee has that happy-go-lucky lab disposition that is so sought-after by lab lovers. He is happy every single minute. He’s huge wagger and smiler, and we pretty much guarantee that he WILL make you laugh. He is also a huge Martha Stewart fan and loves interior decoration. We have watched him rearrange the couch pillows (on the floor of course) for quite some time. He moves one over here, then the other one over here, no, wait that one needs to come a few inches this way, hmm, now over here. Ah. It’s perfect. Then he flops down and snores like a whole barn full of cows.
Our sweet love muffin is up to date on shots and neutered. He’s great with cats and pretty much everyone else. So if you could help him diet (couldn’t we all use a diet buddy?) in return for a lifetime full of LOVE and LAUGHTER, then please contact his foster family AFTER you have filled out an application and gotten a home check. Pre-approved families, as always, are given priority.
Email his foster mom at donna@indilabrescue.org

| Bohdi adopted!
Meet Bodie, an adorable purebred yellow male Labrador of just about 2 years old. This yellow boy is beautiful with a gorgeous yellow coat and nice size of about 65 pounds. We especially love his happy labby personality and constant tail wagging. Bodie is a wonderful Lab with an active, labby temperament for a young 2 year old boy. He has all the things we look for in our dogs. He is wonderful with people and lovely with all other dogs. He gets along beautifully with his Labby sister he is fostered with. Bodie came to us from an owner who could no longer provide for him. His owner was devastated at having to part with him and was so happy he would be with us and in our care.
He has a wonderful Labby temperament. He's a submissive boy and he fits the breed standard to a T; he's as friendly and kind as they come and just look at that face! DARLING! Bodie would say "hi" to everyone on the street if he could! He has a cheerfulness to him, and that tail of his is always wagging.
As a young Lab he needs just the basic training, his eager to please nature will make that easy to accomplish. He's already learning to walk on his leash better, what a quick learner he is! He can pull, so he is best walked with a pinch collar. This boy has energy to play at dog park and dog beach but settle beautifully. He is still a young boy who needs good daily exercise.
Watching him play fetch is incredible. He will leap and bound over any obstacle to get that ball or toy. And when it's time to stop playing he will settle with a chew toy to keep the entertainment going for himself. He is a gentlemen when playing with his foster sister too. Bodie would make a great companion to someone who wants to do fun things with their dog. He's a best friend kind of guy. He'd also make a great family dog with older children. He can be a little bit mouthy, like many young Labs are, so children over age 7 would be best for this boy.
Bodie is slightly on the submissive side and gets along wonderfully with all other dogs. He would do great with another playful canine companion or he will also do nicely as your one and only.
Bodie is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you would like to meet Bohdi, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Otis 2 adopted!
Meet Otis, a very handsome English or Bench Bred purebred Labrador Retriever male of 5 years.
Otis is a beautiful Bench Bred blockheaded boy with a nice stocky body and perfect otter tail. He is beautiful and exactly what a Labrador should look like. But his looks are only a small part of what is so wonderful about Otis. With his perfect happy Labby temperament, he completes the whole package for the best family dog.
Otis was found as a stray in Pomona. He ended up in a very bad high kill shelter where we found him. It took less than a second for us to get him out. After passing his temperament test, Otis was on the way to his new foster home and we could hardly believe he ended up in the shelter to being with. It was clear someone paid quite a bit for this well bred boy.
Otis is 5 years old, but he acts more like a 3 year old boy. He is very calm and easy in the house, but he can turn it on during playtime with his foster sister when the moment commands it and lots of fun playing will ensue.
This boy is a total lover too. He loves to sit by his person, loves to be pet and stroked, and just likes to be with his people wherever they are. He is a beautiful companion dog which is what a Labrador was bred to be.
Otis is a mellow boy of medium energy. He is still a youngster and so enjoys his walks and playtime. He should get a good walk or even a dog park trip each day. And weekends he would love a hike or beach trip if you are in the mood. He loves to be part of the action whatever that may be. Even if you are running an errand, Otis is more than happy to take a car ride to keep you company.
We do not know how Otis would do with cats so at this time we are not looking to place him with them.
He will do fine with children though any Lab can knock over a toddler without meaning to.
Otis is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this stunning boy is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and had your homecheck. Then please follow up with an email to TheRoseGarden21@aol.com

| Pixie adopted!
Meet Pixie, a sweet butterball yellow female purebred Labrador of just about 1 year. She is your typical wiggly, happy lab!
This doll baby is just 65 lbs. She has a yellow coat, perfect black eyeliner and a constant smile. She is the perfect mix of fun and easy! It's hard to believe this gorgeous and wonderful purebred Lab was rescued by us from a local high kill shelter. To see a dog this beautiful and this sweet just blows your mind! But here she is and we couldn't be happier to have this jewel of a Lab in our rescue looking for the very best forever home.
Pixie is very good with other dogs. She loves her trips to the dog park and playdates with other dogs. She will give kisses to other dogs and initiate play with them. She gets along great with her foster sister - a fellow female Lab of 7 years.
Pixie would do best in a home where she need not spend long days alone or where she has another dog playmate to spend their days together playing & keeping each other company.
Because she is still a young girl at 1, she does need good daily exercise. She loves trips to the dog park, hiking, and perhaps even swimming or trips to the beach.
Pixie is a happy, wiggly, lab, although she is very calm for a 1 year old Lab. She will likely grow into a nice medium energy Lab as an adult dog. She would be a good fit with kids as she is not mouthy or jumpy and she takes treats very gently - what a good girl.
Pixie is a good girl in the car and house. She is not yet 100% on her housebreaking skills but we are getting close. This is partly her anxiety over losing her home. We feel certain she will be 100% on her potty skills very, very shortly.
She doesn't love to jump into the car, but with a little help, she is in and she rides very well. She likes to stick her nose out the window, and then ultimately just lay down to enjoy the ride. She even does great waiting in the car while you run errands.
Pixie knows sit, and wants to give you her paw to shake, but she could use a refresher of her other commands. She is food oriented, so training her should be pretty easy. And she takes her treats so gently - what a good girl she is! We do not know how Pixie will do with kitties, so we will not look to place her with them at this time. Pixie is pretty good on leash, although she can pull every once in a while. Mostly she is a very good loose leash walking girl. Pixie is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you think Pixie is the girl for you, be sure to complete an application to adopt and then send an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

Meiko adopted!
Meet Meiko! Oh this guy is a real cutie! He is happy, sweet, gorgeous, AKC purebred Yellow lab of 5 years old. He is such a good looking pale yellow boy of about 78 pounds. He is a true happy, Labby boy - a real lover and a smiler. Just look at that adorable face.
Meiko was turned into a shelter by his owners who lost their home due to economy. He was a loved dog and his owners suffered parting with him. We took one look at him and knew he needed to come home with us. So sad to think his owners were forced to drop him at one of the highest kill shelters in the state - what a sweet boy - thank goodness he is now safe!
Meiko was turned in with his friend, a female chocolate purebred Lab named Myka who was already adopted. Meiko is a mostly mellow boy - not super playful with other dogs, but really more on the calmer side preferring to hang out with other dogs. He would make a great companion to another female doggie, or would do well as your one and only boy. This guy is a true loving companion - such a lover he is - a true cuddle bug!
He loves attention and being snuggled. And like all Labs, loves to be with his person. And because he is do adorable, it's hard to keep your hands off this guy.
Meiko is a medium energy boy who loves his walks and is pretty good on the leash too, not pulling that much. He loves hiking and his walks, and might even enjoy jogging with you. He settles really well in the house after his exercise. He is not destructive and is 100% housebroken! He does enjoy a stuffed doggie toy or dog bone, but mostly just wants to be close to you and enjoy your love & attention. Meiko loves to cuddle and be pet. He likes to be close to his person in the house.
He's a big wiggler and may knock a toddler over. He is best placed with older children over age 10. Meiko does well around kitties - he really doesn't care about them at all, and will often ignore them, so he would be a good choice for a family with cats. Meiko is neutered, up to date on vaccines and flea control, and microchipped.
If you think you can provide a great home for this wonderful boy, please submit an application to adopt and send an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Mathilda adopted!
Meet Mathilda, a sweet, extremely calm and gentle black Labby female. Mathilda is about 85 lbs and 6 years old and she is just a lover.
This sweet heart loves tummy rubs and laying at your feet. She is an easy girl to be with and is very mellow except at feeding time... she LOVES to eat her food... but what Lab doesn't? She gets very wiggly at meal time for sure and has learned to sit and wait for her food. Nothing makes her happier than dinner time.
Mathilda is good with other dogs but prefers canine companions who are respectful and on the calmer side rather than young nutty puppies or super active young dogs. She is a zen doggie.
Mathilda did very well with a few kitties hanging out and basically ignoring them, but barked and chased at another kitty so it's a toss up concerning cats. If your cats are very dog savvy and you don't mind a transition period of the cats and dog getting to know each other we would consider a cat family for Mathilda. We do not think she would hurt a cat.
Mathilda came to us from a high kill shelter where her owner dumped her not wanting her anymore. She was skin and bones and extremely shy. It was pretty heartbreaking to meet her. We could not leave her there. In her time in foster she has come out of her shell and has learned to enjoy the companionship of people and other dogs so much. She has an amazing heart and will be a wonderful companion for someone lucky enough to adopt her.
Mathilda is a very pretty girl with beautiful eyes and a very shiny (although still a bit dry) coat. As she continues her healthy nutrition her coat will be gorgeous as it is jet black and shiny already. She has a very gentle sweet face to go with her sweet gentle temperament.
Adding to Mathilda's extreme cuteness and character are her out-turned front feet. She was born with her front feet turned outward. Our vets have examined and xrayed her and this is totally fine and she has no trouble with this at all. If anything it makes her even more darling and everyone just wants to meet the adorable girl with the out-turned feet. She gets a LOT of attention.
Mathilda is a companion doggie. She is mellow so she is not going to be a jogging partner. She's a zen doggie who loves her moderate walks and being close to her person. She settles beautifully in the house or at your feet. Just pure joy to have around. She is perfect for an easy going household that wants a plug and play easy girl to love.
We prefer not to place Mathilda with small children. She would be gentle with them for sure, but honestly, she has had a pretty neglected life and until recently very little attention. We do not want that attention divided between her and little kids who take a ton of attention from their parents. She deserves to be completely treasured.
She would do beautifully with another friendly easy going canine companion - especially if you are gone to work during the week and she is to be alone. She would also do fine as your one and only true love.
Mathilda is a very special dog to us. Seeing her so unappreciated and forlorn in the shelter really moved us. She has stolen our hearts in this rescue and she is so remarkable that we want only the very best forever home for her. In return, her new family will have our most precious girl to love them and be the most gentle companion ever.
Mathilda is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
Please contact TheRoseGarden21@aol.com only AFTER you have completed your application to adopt. You must be homechecked to meet any of our dogs.

| Fiona 2 adopted!
Meet Fiona, a petite and darling purebred chocolate female Labrador of 2 years. She has the most beautiful eyes and face and a gorgeous deep dark chocolate coat. And she is a great size for that family who prefers a slightly smaller female Labby.
Fiona is the sweetest girl. She is just a lover and a real sweetheart in the house. She is on the petite side and should be about 55 lbs at ideal weight. Fiona is slightly underweight at only 50 lbs currently. But she is eating good food and doing great and is putting weight on already.
Fiona loves dog park and other dogs and is even good with smaller dogs as you can see here. She is with her friend, a little mixed breed girl.
Fiona is a playful girl. She gets along beautifully with the other dogs she is fostered with and is wonderful about sharing her space with them. She especially took to one of our fostered Labs who was recently adopted.
Fiona is still a young Labrador so she needs her daily exercise, but she is very calm in the house and lovely to be with after she has done her walk or dog park. She will do fine with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only.
She will love dog beach, dog park or hikes or just being by your side. She can be a tad mouthy so no little kids for Fiona.
Fiona is not great with cats so no kitties for this happy girl!
Fiona came to us from a high kill Pomona Shelter where she was
picked up as a stray. She was skin and bones when we first saw her and
we were horrified that anyone could neglect such a beautiful sweet dog
so badly. She
is so happy, putting on some weight, loving her foster home, good food, fun with doggie friends, and soft warm beds and she is doing just
beautifully. Our vet says she is a very healthy young and happy dog! We
feel so lucky to have Fiona in our care.
This beautiful girl is very healthy, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.
If you feel Fiona is right for your family, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Female Weimaraner Puppies adopted!
Meet our girls! Indi Lab Rescued a pregnant Weim mommy who surprised us with a bunch of darling Weimaraner puppies - all of whom are looking for loving forever homes! And wonderful Mama Moonlight will also be made available for adoption shortly!
Several of the pups are spoken for already but we do have 4 adorable darling female available for adoption to puppy and Weim qualified homes.
The girls are 7 weeks old and will be ready for their new homes in another week.
These babies have been monitored by a vet through the whole process and are very healthy happy girls. They have received first vaccines and have been routinely and regularly wormed.
Tails and dews have been done in keeping with the breed standard for Weimaraners.
Puppies can only go to puppy approved homes. If you aren't home during the day for the first few months don't bother applying for a baby. Puppies this young simply cannot be crated more than a hour or two and cannot be left unattended.
No puppy should be exposed to the outside world until all 3 rounds of vaccine have been administered.
Puppies are a huge lifelong commitment so carefully consider if you are ready to potty train, have shoes chews, and deal with being woken up at night for potty time. Also potty accidents, crying, and just general puppy mayhem.
If you feel you are ready to be a committed parent to one of our babies, please be sure to complete an application and then follow up with an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Hooch adopted!
Meet Hooch, the sweetest and most beautiful purebred male Weimaraner around. This beautiful boy is such a good boy with a wonderful heart and calm easy disposition. He has a cute natural tail instead of a docked tail like most Weimaraners.
He is 3 years old and has lovely temperament. At about 95 lbs, Hooch is a gentle boy who is beautifully bred and the perfect size for a handsome purebred male Weimaraner.
Hooch is a true lover. He really loves his people and is such a good boy in the house. He is obedient and trained and knows his how to sit already and will surely learn other commands very quickly. He understands "no" and will stay out of the kitchen while his family cooks and eats if they ask him to. All he wants to do is please his person and he loves to be close and by your side.
He is wonderful in the car, in the house, at dog park, and really just anywhere you want to take him. Hooch came to us from one of the highest kill shelters in the Los Angeles area. When we saw him there we knew we had to help him. He came in as a stray, and waited day after day for his family to come, but they never came for him. We took him in and promised him that we would find him the perfect forever home.
Hooch is a medium energy calm dog. He will need and will enjoy his good daily exercise and then he will settle perfectly in the house. He walks perfectly on a leash and really enjoys his walks. He has lovely house manners and is 100% housebroken. He uses the dog door reliably. He is not destructive at all, and would love to be a lap dog if you let him!
Although Hooch is a mellow guy, he also has lots of spunk if you feel like a hike too. He will go with the flow. If you are in the mood for a hike or jog he's right their with you. Or if it's a rainy day and you want to curl up under the blankets, Hooch will be by your side. He is the perfect mix of easy and fun and blends right in.
Hooch is a very healthy happy boy who just wants to be a best friend. You really couldn't do better than to have the love of this fellow. And in return, Hooch will give you such loyalty and love.
Hooch is a very healthy sound boy who has been neutered and microchipped and he is up to date on vaccines.
Hooch will do well in a home with another friendly canine companion to keep him company if you are away long hours.
If you would like to meet Hooch, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com
