| Eva adopted!
Meet Eva. Oh Eva. Talk about lovely, lovely, lovely. This beautiful chubby English purebred black female is pure sweetness.
Eva is just about 3 years old and is very chubby at 105 lbs. She should be 85 lbs so she has a few pound to shed.
Eva came to us with her littermate sister Gigi, also available for adoption on this page. She and her sister are best buddies and are mellow, calm, completely non-aggressive sweethearts who just adore each other and every other living thing.
Eva loves all dogs and all cats and all people. She is gentle and wiggly and happy all the time. And she loves to be next to her person and her sister at all times.
Both Eva and Gigi are submissive girls. They love to lay on the same bed together and lick each others ears and faces. They will curl up into each other and wrap their head and paws around each other. It is DARLING beyond words.
Although we will consider splitting the pair for adoption provided they can go with another friendly sweet dog or someone is home much of the time, we will first be giving priority to families looking to adopt the girls together. Especially because they are so easy together and they compliment each other so well.
Eva is a medium to low energy gentle girl. She absolutely loves her walks and walks beautifully on the leash, passing other dogs nicely and greeting everyone. You can walk Eva (even with her sister Gigi) on one finger. Neither dog pulls on the leash and if fact can be walk on heal off leash.
She loves to be near her person at all times. And since she is always with her sister Gigi, there are two babies sitting as your feet and it is pure joy to be near them.
The girls are pretty perfect but they do have their little frisky times too. They are the perfect mix of super easy and playful that we all love.
Eva will do fine in a home with another friendly submissive dog as she is submissive. Or she will do well as an only dog where someone is home most of the time. We say this because she has always had another dog with her and she is fostered with other dogs so we have no way of knowing how she would do alone without a canine companion for long hours.
Eva is gentle and sweet but she is also Labby mouthy. Although she puts no pressure when she mouths she is not a good fit for toddlers. Older children would be fine. She is very good with all people and has zero aggression. You can pull and prod her and she just loves it.
Eva is healthy (although chubby), up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.
Bother Eva and Gigi are housebroken though they may have potty accidents in their new home while they get used to the new environment.
If you feel she is the right fit for your family, please send an email to donna@indilabrescue.org after you have completed an application to adopt.

| Bambi 2 adopted!
Meet Bambi, the sweetest, darling female lab who loves to be loved.
This 2 year old yellow lab is 60 pounds and is a lovely combination of playful energy and nice indoor mellowness. She has a cute, innocent face & lovely brown eyes! Her golden color might even suggest she has a bit of Golden Retriever in her. She does need her daily exercise as she is still a young Lab at age 2, but she is the perfect mix of fun and easy. She is a gentle girl who loves to be loved and pet. She will sit right up next to you just to get attention and nudge you with her nose when she wants more attention. In fact, she loves to cuddle up and have her head on your lap or your chest - if you're looking for a loving girl - you've found her in Bambi!
Bambi came to us from a high kill shelter were she was found as a stray and we rescued her just in time. Hard to believe she ended up at a shelter, because she is just a treasure to have as a pet! Unreal that a dog this amazing ended up there.
Bambi is well trained! She knows sit, down and come commands, and we are working on stay. Bambi is truly a darling and playful girl. She walks pretty well on leash - no pinch collar needed. She does pull a little bit, but she is easily corrected.
Bambi settles beautifully in the house after she has had her exercise. She likes to be close to you and nap at your feet or on the bed & nestled up next to you!
Bambi is good with other dogs both big and small. She would do great as an only dog or with another playful doggie companion. She is currently fostered with another female lab of 7 years old and they get along great. She is a very good girl in the car, hopping in easily and just laying down and curling up while you drive. Bambi also likes to play fetch. She will do great in a home where she will get daily exercise, walks, hikes, trips to dog park or playing fetch in the yard are all great for her. Bambi eats well like any lab, but she is not overly food driven. She takes treats very gently - such a good girl. She loves her doggie toys - especially dog bones and soft squeaky toys, so having nylabones and squeaky toys in her new home is a must!
She will do well with children though keep in mind, any playful lab can knock over toddlers. Bambi also does well with kitties, so if you have cats in your home, Bambi is a great choice!
Bambi is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped & ready for her new home!
If you have completed an application and been homechecked, please email IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Jeremiah Johnson adopted!
Meet Jeremiah Johnson! This gorgeous purebred chococolate male Labrador is just about 3-4 years old and 80 lbs.
Jeremiah has a beautiful soft chocolate coat, sensitive eyes, and about the most perfect temperament there is. He is wonderful with all people and all dogs and is really just an awful lot of fun.
Jeremiah is a medium energy young boy. He needs his daily exercise and absolutely loves his walks. He tends to pull on his leash, but corrects easy and after walking for a bit, pulls much less. He is a nice boy on the leash and passes and greets other dogs along the way very nicely. He does great with a good 45 minute to an hour walk and is a great walking buddy.
Jeremiah loves to go to dog park and has tons of play buddies. He loves going in the car because he knows the car means going somewhere fun. At dog park he greets every dog and all people with a nice wag and wiggle and has a great time. He will play with willing dogs or will just enjoy their company walking around and enjoying the day.
He is a very happy, healthy boy who loves his people. He likes to be where you are and by your side. As long as he has had his exercise, he is wonderful in the house settling down beautifully. He even does great in his crate resting quiety.
Jeremiah loves a nice bully stick to chew on. It's a wonderful crate treat for him. He really enjoys it.
Jeremiah is currently fostered with a female Labrador and several other dogs. He also spends lots of his time with another foster mom and her 2 other chocolate male Labradors and another male foster Labrador and he does great with all of them.
He will do great with another friendly canine companion for company or as your one and only though we do not think he is the best dog to be an only dog if you are gone for long hours and he will be totally alone. In that case he really should have a buddy.
This boy is so wonderful, it's pretty hard to imagine that we pulled him out of one of the highest kill Los Angeles County shelters where he was in danger of euthanasia. On the day we met Jeremiah, that particular shelter killed close to one hundred dogs. We could not get him out of there fast enough.
Luckily Jeremiah had no idea what his fate may have been. He left the shelter tail wagging and hopped right into the car with several other dogs enjoying his ride to the vet for his health check up.
Jeremiah will do fine with older children but is too wiggly for toddlers. We do not know how he will do with kitties so we will not place him with them.
He is healthy, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. All that's needed now is for his forever family to come and meet him and fall in love - just like we did - in two seconds.
If you feel Jeremiah Johnson is right for your family, and you have completed an application and had your homecheck, please shoot an email to daniellekrauss@mac.com to learn more.

| Rose, Lizzy, and Gidget adopted!
Rose, Lizzy and Gidget are 3 chocolate Labrador/Weimaraner "Weimador" puppies. They look pretty much like purebred Labradors but they have slightly longer ears and are perfectly adorable. They are all females. The girls are just 6 1/2 weeks old so they will not be ready to go to new homes for another week and a half at 8 weeks of age.
Daddy was an AKC purebred Weimaraner and mom was a purebred AKC chocolate Labrador
The girls are shown here with 3 of our purebred Weimaraner male puppies who are also available for adoption.
These healthy, happy little girl are so darling and sweet and have that typical Labrador temperament we all love so much. They are curious, confident, loving, and sturdy girls.
Each of these little bunnies are looking for loving forever homes.
The girls have had their first shots and have been wormed.
Puppies are a huge commitment. Someone must be home much of the time for the first couple of months and families must be ready for dealing with puppyhood. Puppies require housebreaking, training, tons of attention, and love.
If you feel your family is ready to adopt a little purebred Weimaraner boy, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to IndiWeimGirl@gmail.com

| DeeDee adopted!
Meet DeeDee! Oh what a darling and sweet English purebred yellow female. DeeDee is 8 years young and full of love and happiness.
She is a pale yellow, purebred Bench Bred Lab with dew claws removed so is likely an AKC registered Labrador. She has the best personality and is truly happy all the time.
DeeDee came to us awhile ago from a very high kill shelter in a county outside of Los Angeles. Her owners turned her and her 2 siblings into the shelter when they lost their home. Our volunteer alerted us to DeeDee and let us know she had no hope of getting out of the shelter without us.
DeeDee arrived at the shelter in bad shape. Although it was clear someone did love her once, she had been neglected for some time and the results showed. She was close to 30 lbs overweight. Her weight was so bad she could not walk. The pressure from all this extra weight on a Lab is never good and always causes problems. In DeeDees case, being 8 years old, the weight had taken a toll on her joints and she developed arthritis. The arthritis coupled with the extra weight meant DeeDee could barely get up off the kennel floor. It was very, very sad. In addition, the weight made her belly droop and caused a fold in the middle. Because no air could get into the fold, an abscess formed which was infected and open.
Because DeeDee still managed to smile and wag her tail, she charmed us and of course we took her home. Her first stop was for a nice bath, a blueberry facial, and a nail trim. She LOVED all the attention and charmed every person at the doggie salon.
DeeDee then had her vet visit where she was weighed, blood work was done, and her abscess was treated. She was a grand hit at the vet's office where everyone had to come in and see her. We did a round of Adequan injections to jump start her joint healing and provide protection. All the work paid off as DeeDee is now doing beautifully!
DeeDee spent the next weeks slimming down by swimming in a pool and getting slow short walks and a good diet. Her foster mom cleaned her abscess twice a day and before long DeeDee was up and around and playing with toys and the other dogs. It was the reward all of us had been waiting for.
DeeDee is a very, very special girl. She is gentle, calm, playful and full of joy. She is a medium to lower energy Lab who adores her shorter walks (15-20 minutes) and is about the best company and houseguest anyone could ever ask for. She is perfect with all other dogs and loves all people. She was even wonderful with toddlers she has met.
DeeDee would love to chase a kitty, but she cannot catch one. :-) She has been fostered with cats the entire time and they seem to know DeeDee isn't much of the threat.
DeeDee has some arthritis which is treated with a non steroidal anti-inflammatory. She still needs to lose a few pound so her new family must be committed to a healthy diet and regular walks. She would love to swim in a pool if you have one or have access to one.
DeeDee will do best with a family where someone is home much of the time or if not, would love another doggie to keep company with. She will do great with children and is a perfect dog for a stay at home mom who has little ones and just wants a nice friendly family dog.
DeeDee is just easy to be with. She is non destructive, completely housebroken, loves car rides and going to dog park, and is wonderful in the house. Plus she makes you smile all the time.
If you feel this darling and sweet girl is the one for you, please complete an application and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Coco Baby adopted!
Meet Coco Baby, a petite and sweet purebred female Chocolate Lab of about 3 years. Coco Baby is just about 55 lbs and has a beautiful face.
This little girl came to us in pretty bad shape. She was found as a stray and came into the shelter with severe flea dermatitis on her back and rear which had become infected. Because of this she had lost a lot of her fur in that area. Such a shame for such a beautiful purebred girl.
Thankfully her skin is all healed and she is doing great. Her coat is coming in nicely and in a very short time she will look as gorgeous as she truly is.
Coco Baby is a fairly calm girl. She is good on the leash and walks beautifully except for when she wants to stop and sniff and take her time. She is a young girl who definitely needs her daily walks, but settles beautifully in the house at your feet where she is perfectly content and mellow.
Coco Baby is also wonderful in the car. Her foster mom likes to take her on errands and Coco waits patiently for her to return. She is wonderful company.
Coco is playful and friendly with other dogs. She is fostered with several Labradors and a visiting female Bulldog and does wonderfully with all of them.
She loves to play with other friendly playful dogs and really enjoys dog park and hikes with other dogs. We would love her new family to take her to visit other dogs often.
Coco loves to be with her person. She especially loves belly rubs and will fall on her back for one shamelessly. She is very trusting of her foster mom and was just perfect at bath time getting lathered up in the tub.
Coco is also lovely with children. She has met quite a few children over the age of 7 and has just adored the attention.
She likes her toys though she isn't non-stop with them. Occasionally she will entertain herself by tossing and chasing a toy around.
Coco is far too cat curious with the cat she is fostered with, so we will not be placing her in a home with kitties.
She would do fine as an only dog provided she has enough attention or would do fine with a nice playful friend. She will not do well being left alone long hours during the day without another dog for company.
Coco is healthy, up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.
If you feel Coco Baby is right for you and you have already completed an application and been homechecked and approved, please email her foster mom at donna@indilabrescue.org

| Copper adopted!
Meet Copper, a gorgeous AKC registered purebred Chocolate Labrador Retriever male. This boy has a stunning block head, gentle burnt sugar eyes, and is a very sweet and loving dog. Copper is about 70 lbs and is 3 years old.
Copper came to us from a family who led very busy lives and did not have any time for him. He was not getting the attention, exercise or love every Labrador needs. Labs in particular love their people and do not do well without companionship. Poor Copper spend almost all of his time in the back yard alone. He even slept outside.
Needless to say, when we met Copper and saw how lovely he was, we were only too happy to take him into our rescue and find him the loving home he so deserves.
Copper was raised and lived with children. He is wonderful with all people and good with children though not particularly interested in them. Because he is a Lab, he could knock a toddler down.
Copper is amazing with all other dogs. He just loves other dogs and makes a wonderful canine companion.
He is a medium energy boy who will do best in a home with another friendly dog and where he will get daily exercise. He would love trips to dog park or dog beach and the occasional hike with his person.
Copper is a good boy in the house and sleeps through the night. He loves to be with his people and he loves the company of other dogs. He is just a really wonderful loving family dog with all the right qualities!
He is pretty good on the leash but could use a bit more work. He really wants to please his person and is VERY food motivated so super easy to train. Since his former family spent little time with him, his new family will want to do some basic training with him to bring him up to speed. This will be fun and easy considering how much Copper wants to please.
Copper is a beautiful Labrador with a sweet and lovely temperament. He has been short changed in life and deserves so much better. In return, he will give you years of love and loyalty.
Copper is too curious about cats to be placed with them. So only homes without kitties please.
Copper is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
If you feel Copper is the right boy for you, please complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Hans adopted!
Meet Hans! Oh this guy is such a love! He is happy, sweet, gorgeous, and just the best boy with a giant blocky head, droopy jowels and just an all around handsome boy!
Hans a 4 year old purebred yellow male English Labrador. He is about 75 lbs, and a real wiggler and a smiler. Just look at that adorable face.
Hans was found wandering the streets of Taiwan, sick and afraid when he was taken in by a local rescuer who brought him to TUAPA, a Taiwanese rescue organization who we work very closely with. Indi Lab makes an attempt to take in purebred Labs from Taiwan when we are able to do so as these dogs have no options for adoption there and experience has shown us that these dogs are some of the best dogs we have known in terms of looks and temperament.
This guy is good with all other dogs and loves all people!! He is even good with kitties, so if you have cats in your household, Hans is a great choice! Hans is a mellow boy in the houes and he doesn't fuss in the crate at all - he just goes right in and goes to sleep. He's so lovable all he wants to do is lay by you. And he actually likes his crate and will bring toys in there with him! Even though he's from Taiwan and didn't know any commands when he arrived, he has already learned sit and we're now working on down! What a quick learner he is, so he will enjoy continuing to learn more - and he takes treats so gently!
Hans is a medium energy boy who loves his walks and is good on the leash. And he settles very well in the house after his exercise. He also loves to retrieve and brings the toy or ball right back to you. What a great dog!
Hans is a good boy in the car and house. He may need some assistance hopping into the car, but once in, he enjoys the ride, sticks his nose out the window and is very calm - sitting or laying down while you drive. He's also great while you run into a store to run errands, he just waits patiently for you to come back. Hans loves to cuddle and be pet. He likes to be close to his person in the house. He's a big wiggler and may knock a toddler over but he will do fine with most children as he doesn't jump, and isn't mouthy either. Hans will also do great in a home as your one and only doggie, or with another friendly female canine companion.
Hans is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. This healthy happy Labrador is ready for a family of his own.
If you think Hans is a match for your family, please send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com.

| Maya adopted!
Meet Maya! She is a sweetheart of a purebred chocolate female Labrador with no dew claws. She is a 5 year old English girl - short & stocky. She weighs in at 75 pounds, but she's a little chunky, so we would like to see her slim down to 65 pounds at her ideal weight.
Maya is a very special girl. She is a calm loving girl who wants to be by your side and give you gentle kisses! Her temperament is absolutely wonderful - happy, gentle, calm, and loving. She is just absolutely perfect.
Maya was turned into a very high kill shelter in Los Angeles by her owners who were moving. The shelter was very full and short staffed, so we were very worried about what might happen to this girl. We rushed right down to get this sweet girl and she immediately came home with us! On her car ride home, she couldn't have been a more lovely riding buddy, looking out the window and riding happily and calmly. Maya is very good with other dogs big and small and she does pretty well with cats too. She is interested in cats, but won't hurt a cat and if they hiss at her she gets scared. She does beautifully at dog park with her foster mom & 2 foster doggie sisters where she has many friends and loves to just greet everyone. After she inspects the property and greets all her friends, she is content to just hang out by her foster mom and rest, tail wagging.
She's not much for playing with other dogs though she does enjoy their company and she will do fine with another friendly canine companion though it would be best not to put her with a high energy, super young dog as she is much more mellow. She would also do well as your one and only though she will not do well as an only dog left alone for long hours. She has always lived with other dogs and isn't used to being completely alone all day without a friend.
Maya loves her walks and is pretty good on the leash though at times she can pull just a bit. She takes correction very well and walks nicely. She passes other dogs nicely too and likes to greet people with her smile and wag.
Maya is learning how to jump in the car on her own, and once in she does very well. She enjoys sticking her head out the window to feel the breeze, and give her foster mom a couple kisses along the way. She is very calm in the car and knows how fun car rides can be!
Maya settles beautifully in the house and is non destructive. She loves to lie down at your feet or on her bed and is a very calm girl. Overall, she is a low to medium energy girl. Maya takes treats very gently, and is just such a special, sweet, mellow girl. She does not seem to know many commands, so we are starting to work on some in her foster home, but a brush up on some basic obedience commands would be great for this girl. Although, it's often not necessary as she is just so calm and lovely.
She will do best in a variety of homes - with or without small children, with or without another dog or cat, but we prefer she not go to a home where she will be completely alone for long hours since she recently lost the only home she has ever known.
This girl is pure pleasure and the epitome of sweetness. She is spayed, healthy, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel Maya is right for your family, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Camden adopted!
Meet Camden, a darling 2 year old male yellow Lab! This boy is an English or Bench Bred Lab with a blocky head, and a nice stocky English body. He's a smaller size at 60 pounds and has a gorgeous lighter cream colored coat! He has no dew claws, so very likely he is a purebred Labby!
Camden is an active, happy boy, and he takes that happiness everywhere he goes and gives it to everyone who glances his way! WAG WAG WAG! He is a young boy too, so he loves lots of activities like dog park, playing fetch, swimming and more!
Camden came to us from a high-kill shelter in Los Angeles where he was found as a stray. Just so hard to believe someone would give up a boy like this. Camden is a typical lab who will follow you everywhere you go, and loves attention and lots of pets. Camden is still a young boy at 2 years and he is an active dog, so he will need a good amount of exercise daily and trips to the dog park or dog beach would be great for him. He does great with all other doggies - and really enjoys playing with other dogs too. He would love to be your jogging partner and if you have a pool, he just loves to swim! He enjoys playing fetch, but is not ball obsessive, so playing fetch in the backyard would also be good exercise for this young boy! Camden will do well with another playful doggie companion or as your one and only, although he will do best in a home where he is not left for long hours, as with many young Labs, they can get bored quickly and get into trouble when left alone for long periods.
Camden is still quite jumpy and mouthy as most young labbies are, so he will do best placed in a home with children over 8. He greets you with the typical lab excitement and often jumps up to say hello. He is learning this is not proper doggie behavior, so he will need to continue this training in his new home. Camden does know sit, down and come commands but of course will benefit from continued training. He does pull a bit on leash, so he is now learning how to walk next to his person. Until he learns this, he is best walked with a gentle leader or pinch collar. This boy is food motivated as many labbies are, so treat training will be easy with him, but he is also still learning to take treats gently - he just gets so excited to get his reward!
Camden is neutered, up to date on all shots, and microchipped - he is now just looking for his forever home!

| Yoyo adopted!
Yoyo is a sweetheart of a purebred yellow female Labrador. She is very pale - almost white, 65 lbs, and 5 years old.
Yoyo is a very special girl. She is a calm loving girl who has been loved her entire life. She was raised with little children and came from a home where the children are now 6 & 9 years old.
Yoyo came to us when her family fell on hard times due to the economy. They were no longer able to afford to own Yoyo and it was very hard for them to part with her. But they were forced to do so and wanted to be sure she would get the very best home.
Yoyo is very good with other dogs big and small and she does pretty well with cats too. She is interested in cats, but won't hurt a cat and if they hiss at her she gets scared.
She's not much for playing with other dogs though she does enjoy their company and she will do fine with another friendly canine companion though it would be best not to put her with a high energy, super young dog as she is much more mellow.
Yoyo loves her walks and is pretty good on the leash though at times she can pull just a little bit. She takes correction very well and walks nicely. She passes other dogs nicely too and likes to greet people. Yoyo is completely housebroken and non destructive in the house. She settles down beautifully at your feet or on her bed and is a very calm girl.
She will do best in a variety of homes - with or without small children, with or without another dog or cat, but we prefer she not go to a home where she will be completely alone for long hours since she recently lost the only home she has ever known.
This girl is pure pleasure and the epitome of sweetness. She is healthy, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| King 2 adopted!
King is a gorgeous, male purebred Weimaraner of approximately 3 to 4 years of age who is the sweetest most mellow boy.
King was rescued as a stray and extremely under weight at the time. He still needs to gain at least 5 to 8 more pounds to be at his ideal weight but he has put on lots of weight and is now healthy and happy. King has a beautiful natural tail and a sweet face.
King is a VERY mellow, affectionate boy. He just likes to "hang out" with his people and is a wonderful calm companion.
King is wonderful with other dogs, though he is very calm and mellow so not a huge player. But he enjoys the company of other dogs and they like him as well. He is fascinated with cats. He has not tried to hurt any cats, but he may give chase so no kitties for this boy.
King is a little shy at times. This gentle boy does not like loud noises and can sometimes get scared. As he learns more and more loud sounds he does fine. We would love King to go to a calmer household so he can adjust most easily. And any calmer household will love having King as he will fit right in.
King is totally potty trained and has learned to go in and out of a doggy door. He sleeps quietly through the night without a peep. He is a very good listener, knows his basic commands and walks beautifully on a leash.
King is a very sweet calm boy who wants nothing more than to give love. He is perfect for a person wanting a mellow sweet dog. He will do his best in a lower key household and though he is wonderful with children, we would prefer to place him without little loud kids.
King is healthy, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

| Dempsey adopted!
Meet Dempsey! A chocolate male Lab of about 4 years old. He has a lovely dark brown coat, a perfect blocky head and weighs about 80 pounds of pure chocolate love.
Dempsey is such an amazing young labby boy. He's sweet, submissive, eager to please, loyal, and gentle. He can also be energetic and lively which makes him the perfect mix of easy doggie and fun playmate.
He loves to be loved and played with. He's simply gorgeous with his blocky head and athletic body. And, to top things off, we have never seen a more happy tail wag! He just loves being happy and seems so grateful to be out of the shelter. His joy is contagious. Seriously, what more could you ask for in a lab? He gets along great with his foster sister, though sometimes he has the hots for her a bit more than she'd like. And, one thing is for certain, he would make an excellent companion for someone who wants a dog willing to stay by their side (without being demanding or annoying) and will lavish nothing but love on them.
When his foster mom isn't too busy, Dempsey is quite content forgetting that his foster Labby sister is there, and will follow his foster mom around like a puppy without getting in her way or being demanding. He's a dog that will lay at your feet or cuddle up with you at ease.
He is definitely still a young boy, and would do best in a home where he could get a good amount of exercise. He likes playing tug of war with his foster sister, and is getting used to chewing on a bone or playing with a squeaky toy! He's learning to not pull on the leash so much, but he is very strong and could benefit from a gentle leader or another training collar.
Dempsey is housebroken, and settles well in the house after his exercise. He also does extremely well in a crate. He isn't 100% sure of what is a dog toy and what isn't, so it would be best to keep him in his crate or your yard while you are away - until he learns which items he should & shouldn't munch on while you are away. But he loves his crate and willingly goes in & and lays right down to rest! What a good boy! Dempsey knows his commands of sit, down and shake! He takes treats gently - although sometimes after doing the command, doesn't want a treat at all - silly boy. Dempsey is good with other dogs. He will make a great dog as your one and only - or with another canine companion. We don't know how Dempsey will do around kitties though, so we will not place him in a home with cats at this time.
He's not jumpy, but can be a bit mouthy when he plays, so children over 6 would be best for Dempsey Dempsey is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and now ready for his new forever home!

| Chiquita adopted!
Meet Chiquita - a purebred female Weimaraner of 3-4 years old. Chiquita is a smaller girl at 60 pounds and a recent mommy of the Weimaraner pups available for adoption on our website! She has such a sweet temperment and is a beautiful looking girl. Chiquita came to us from a family where she was bred many times with little regard for her well being. It is amazing how gentle and loving this girl is considering that she was given very little of what a dog like her truly deserves. This is a VERY special girl with outstanding temperament and a true gentle nature.
Although Chiquita didn't have the best life up until now, she did grow up around children, adults and other dogs and she is good with all people and all dogs - even cats. This gentle girl wants nothing more than to love everyone and everything.
We rescued Chiquita, her puppies, and the papa Weimaraner to help them all find wonderful new forever homes after the situation became dire. Thankfully all the dogs are healthy happy and on their way to a new life.
Chiquita stopped nursing her pups recently, so she will need to wait another couple weeks before she can be spayed, but it will be mandatory that her new family take her to one of our vets for her spay (which is already paid for) very soon. This girl is a loving, happy girl. She does great with all other dogs - both big and small and she also does fabulous around kitties, so she is a great choice for a family with cats - she basically ignores them. Chiquita was never really given much training or exposure to the outside world so it's surprising how well adjusted and happy she is. She knows the sit command, but she needs brushing up on some basic obedience. She loves to jump up on people and hug you - which although is quite cute - she is learning this is not proper manners with people, so we are teaching her not to jump up, but to sit instead to get love & affection. She is learning so quickly - what a smart girl she is! Chiquita does pretty well on leash, although you can tell lots of the outside world is new to her. She is a timidly curious girl who will do great going on lots of walks, trips to new places and more fun. She is not fearful, just new to many things the outside world has to offer! She can be walked on a regular flat collar with no pulling - unless you prefer to use a gentle leader. She will occasionally circle you or criss-cross in front of you, but she is quickly learning to walk right next to her person. Chiquita is a calm girl - she settles very well in the house! However, like most Weimaraners, she will do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. She is not a dog who can be left alone for hours and hours. She needs someone to give her the love and attention she has been missing. She would also do very well with another doggy friend in the house as she has been used to living with other dogs for her entire life thus far. Overall she is a low to medium energy girl. Chiquita takes treats gently and is such a sweet and loving girl who really wants to please you! She learns very quickly and would love nothing more than for you to give her gentle guidance and direction.
Chiquita is up to date on all vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. She will need to be spayed in a few weeks at one of our vets. So, she is now looking for her forever home! If you think Chiquita is the girl for you, please send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com.

| Labby Puppies adopted!
Meet Dallas, Denver, Orlando, Berkley, London and Berlin! These little friends are all 8-9 week old Labrador mix puppies who are just the most deserving bunch.
We believe the babies are mixed with Weimaraner and they are just darling. 2 of the babies are black and 4 have chocolate/blackish coats that are really unique and beautiful.
There are 2 girls and 4 boys looking for loving forever homes with committed adoring families. So what do you say?
The babies were found at one of the highest kill shelters in Los Angeles County. Few dogs from this shelter get out alive and the prospects for this family was grim.
After being rescued the babies were brought immediately to the vet for full exams. The puppies though slightly underweight are all in great health. They have recieved their first vaccines and have been wormed and microchipped.
All puppies must have complete rounds of vaccines before they can go into the world. So these guys all will need to get their second vaccines in 3 weeks and their third and final round in 6 weeks. Until then no dog park or outside exposure to the world or to other dogs unless those dogs are healthy and known to have received all of their vaccines.
Adopting a puppy is a big undertaking not to be taken lightly by anyone. All puppies deserve homes where someone is home during the day as babies cannot be left alone at any time during the first couples of months.
New families must have a crate to keep their new puppy safe when they cannot watch them. The crate will help greatly with housebreaking as well.
Puppies may chew, dig, bark and destroy things. They are babies after all and have a lot to learn so new families must be prepared and committed to what it takes to raise a Labby pup. This means lots of love, patience, puppy obedience class after vaccines have completed, lots of daily exercise, and tons of socialization with other dogs as puppy grows.

| Gulliver adopted!
Meet Gulliver, an adorable and beautifully bred purebred Golden Retriever male of just 3-4 years and 70 lbs. He is wonderful with all other dogs and cats.
This boy is a sweetest, most submissive doll baby. He is just a joy to be with and a joy to foster.
Gulliver came to us from a high kill shelter outside Los Angeles where he was found as a stray. He was absolutely petrified in the shelter yet he was wonderful with our volunteer. We took Gulliver into foster immediately and he has been nothing but grateful to be in a home safe, sound, freshly bathed and with friends and toys.
Gulliver is a slightly shy submissive boy. He loves people and is amazing with all other dogs. You can tell he has not seen much of the outside world so some things initially frighten him, but he warms up very quickly.
At first he was afraid of the coffee bean grinder, but now he knows that's ok. Certain loud noised scare him at first but he does very well very quickly.
Gulliver is a gentle boy who is not mouthy or jumpy. However someone sometime taught him to jump up for a hug. He will jump up on a trusted adult and place his paws around your waste and hug you. Although it is truly darling and we so want to hug him back, Gulliver has now been taught that no jumping is ever ok. So he will come and sit for you and wait for a pet.
True to his breed, Gulliver just loves to retrieve. He has a wonderfully soft retriever mouth and will let you take a ball or toy from him without any trouble. He also loves to carry a toy in his mouth as you can see in his photos. Very adorable.
Gulliver also likes to go in the car for rides. He hops right in and is an excellent passenger. He rides beautifully in the car even with other dogs and is calm and happy.
Gulliver is very good on the leash too. He walks on a flat martingale collar and does great being responsive to the gentlest of corrections.
He is still a young boy who will need his daily exercise. He would love to go on long walks with you or even a jog. We don't recommend off leash hikes yet with Gulliver until he is fully bonded with his owner and feels completely secure with his surroundings, but he will be a great off leash companion in the future.
Gulliver is a medium energy Golden who settles beautifully in the house after his exercise. He is not a barker, chewer, or destructive. He loves to be with his person and always near by. He is a faithful companion.
Gulliver does like to carry his food dish after he eats. On occasion he even picked up an empty water bowl to let his foster know he needed a refill.
This kind, gentle soul is really just one of the most wonderful fosters we have had. He crates beautifully and sleeps though the night without a peep. He is completely housebroken and has no marking tendencies - even outdoors. In fact, he squats like a girl to go potty.
We thing this boy will make some lucky family very, very happy.
Gulliver is healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Angie adopted!
Meet Angie, a beautiful butterball Labby girl.
Angie is a purebred pale yellow female Labrador of just about 3-4 years. She is calm, lovely, and sweet and has outstanding temperament.
Angie came to us from a high kill shelter outside of Los Angles where our volunteer found her waiting for someone to come and claim her. But no one ever came. We saw how sweet and good this girl was so as soon as we were able, we took her out and put her into a safe loving foster home.
Angie was recently spayed and was given a clean bill of health from our vet.
She is a darling girl on the smaller side at just about 55-60 lbs.
Angie is a submissive girl who is lovely with other dogs and all people. She is a young girl who needs her daily exercise of dog park and good walks, but settles down beautifully in the house after.
She is a calm and mellow girl who is completely housebroken, non destructive, and a pleasure to be with. Her foster mom says she is a "delight".
Angie will do well in most homes. She was abandoned so we would love for her to go somewhere where she will have lots of time with her people and plenty of well deserved attention.
She will do beautifully with another friendly and sweet canine companion who is not too alpha since she is submissive.
We do not know how Angie will do with kitties so we prefer not to place her with them.
Angie is lovely on car rides and rides calmly. She was very popular at the vets office where her gentle sweetness made her a grand hit.
Angie is a healthy girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Beanie adopted!
Meet Beanie, THE most adorable and the most MELLOW purebred chocolate male Labrador Retriever ever. Beanie is just about 5 years.
This calm and gentle sweetheart was rescued in the nick of time from the highest kill shelter in all of California in his last hour before euthanasia. And boy are we glad we got there in time because Beanie is just the best Labrador ever.
Beanie is a very good looking Labrador of about 65 lbs and has a nice blocky thick head just like we love. His coat is dull and dry and will look amazing with good food in short order.
We think Beanie lived most of his life as an outside dog but that has all changed now. He is learning it's ok to be in the house and part of the family and he loves sleeping on his warm soft bed.
Beanie is a very calm and easy boy with a carefree personality. He gets along beautifully with all other dogs and is not dominant or pushy. He will do great with a nice canine companion or as your one and only as he is not a super playful dog though he is wonderful company for another dog.
He is also lovely with kitties and basically ignores them so he's a good choice for families with cats.
Beanie has not had much training, but he really wants to please. It's not really a problem though because he is so calm, so mellow, and so gentle, that keeping him under control is not even a concern. He is that good. He will do great with a family prepared to help teach him a few commands and work with him a bit. He is good on his leash with the use of a pinch collar or gentle leader. With very little effort Beanie will be pretty darn close to perfection.
Beanie takes treats gently and he loves food so he will respond beautifully to being rewarded when he sits or does a down. He is definitely food motivated.
He is a very affectionate boy who loves to be pet. If you stop petting Beanie, he will scoot closer to get more cuddles and pets.
Beanie rides nicely in the car and is calm around other dogs on day trips and park trips. He is a gentleman.
Beanie is the kind of boy who loves to be with his people. He will do best in a home where someone is home much of the time or where this is another loving dog to keep company with. He loves dog park and is the most friendly dog there. He is a submissive, darling, gentleman.
We think Beanie will do well with children due to his gentle nature, but like any Lab he may knock a toddler down so probably best to put Beanie in a home with children over age 6.
Beanie is a healthy boy who just needs a bit of time and TLC to reach his full beauty and potential. He is a prize for a lucky family.
Beanie is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Hannah and Maddie adopted!
Hanna and Maddie are a bonded pair of perfect Labrador females. These purebred girls are from champion lines and are gentle, sweet, perfectly trained girls.
Hannah is a pedigree of Rocheby Royal Navy and Maddies is out of Tremont’s Vision Quest & Weathermark’s Bodacious Babe.
Hannah and Maddie are 10 and 11 years young. These healthy seniors love their walks, wrestling with each other and playing tug-o-war. But mostly they just love being with their person.
Both girls are very healthy. Hannah is on thyroid meds (about $11 a month) and takes a non steroidal anti inflammatory to help with minor arthritis.
We know the girls are a bit older, but these girls will bring a few years of easy and perfect joy into their new owners life.
The girls have lived spoiled and charmed lives since they were babies. They were raised with children and cats and are gentle with both.
They love all people and will great visitors with toys in their mouths. They love all other dogs too.
They girls are well trained knowing their commands and walking well on lead.
Maddie and Hannah come to us from a very loving and dedicated owner who due to circumstances that cannot be changed, must find a new loving home for her beloved girls. She is very sad to part with her girls and only hopes they can find the very best home.
The girls would be a lovely pair for a family who is looking for gentle and perfect dogs. They would be wonderful for a busy person or family who work during the day and need two easy dogs to keep each other company.
Maddie and Hannah are really just 2 perfect dogs - perfect examples of our breed, perfect tempered, and perfect lovers who just need a wonderful place to call home. In return they will give you a few years of joy and love that will reward anyone blessed enough to have them a hundred fold.
The girls are spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Piper adopted
Piper is a stunningly beautiful female of about 1 1/2 yrs old, and is a purebred Weimaraner. She is currently being fostered with several other dogs, and gets along well with all of them, young and old, big and small!
Piper knows basic obedience. She knows sit and walks well on a leash, she loves going for walks and hikes, but she (and her new family!) would benefit greatly from an obedience course, which is recommended for every young Weim.
Because Piper is very playful, and could easily knock a toddler over, it would be best if her new families kids were over the toddler stage. She is also a JUMPER and can easily clear 4 foot fences, so her new family must have a secure yard. A doggy door is highly recommended , or a situation where a door can be left open for her to go in and out to reinforce her potty training. Like most young Weimaraners, Piper will do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. She is not a dog who can be left alone for hours and hours. She does not bark, but she is still a chewer, and does not like to be crated. She needs someone to give her the love and attention she has needs, including sleeping in the same room with a family member.
Piper is a youngster and athletic so she will also need regular walks and trips to the dog park or dog beach, and really needs at least one canine playmate, so she can wrestle and play and wear herself out!
We would like for Piper to go to a home who is familiar with the Weimaraner breed. She will need a lot of love and reassurance as she adjusts a new home. It would be ideal if someone was home with her most of the time, as Weims just don't like to be alone! She would love a home where she could be with her people and sleep in the same room as they do.
Piper met some kitties in her foster home, too, and she seems to like kitties, and they like her, too! So if you are looking for a Weim who is good with cats, Piper might be the girl for you! But because she is young and playful she will chase kitties so only dog savvy cats would work well with Piper. Piper is spayed and microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines.
If you feel Piper is for you, please complete an application and follow up with an email to IndiWeimGirl@aol.com

| Jet adopted!
Meet Jet, an absolutely beautiful male purebred Labrador Retriever of just about 4 year of age and 80 lbs.
This shiny black stunning boy is more than just looks with his loving nature and sweet mellow personality. Looking at him it's hard to believe he is the same dog we rescued just a few months ago.
When Jet came to us, he was extremely underweight, had a terrible ear infection that had gone untreated for forever, and was so fun of flea dermatitis and yeast that he was missing a large portion of his fur. He was in such bad shape we could not even neuter him until he was recovered.
It was a long haul but this boy is now healthy, happy, gorgeous, neutered and ready for his forever home!!!!
Jet is a very loving boy. He is a calm boy that really loves to be with his person. He is still a young boy so he needs his walks and other exercise (he loves swimming in a pool!) but he settles beautifully in the house and is a very easy boy to be with.
Jet does very well with other dogs, but he does best with submissive females. He is fostered with 2 female Labs who he adores. He has come to play parties with other fostered Labs and does very well playing with the other doggies and sharing tennis balls, though he does not do his best with dominant males and needs to be reminded who is boss. Otherwise he is just lovely with other dogs.
Jet knows his commands, is trustworthy in the house, and is great on leash. He is totally housebroken too! His biggest naughty behavior has been to get into the trash when it was not put away. After all, he IS a Labrador and we know how our Labbies love to snack!
Jet is good with children but does best with children that are a little older. He is a cuddler and loves attention.
Jet will do his best with a strong leader as he takes commands and correction very well and is at his very best with strong leadership. He seems to like to have a handler that is the boss. But he is still a very tender and calm boy who also loves to get plenty of affection, hugs, kisses, and the loving moments we enjoy spending with our best buddies.
Because Jet has had a longer foster recovery, he has become pretty attached to his foster home. His new home should be prepared for jet to settle and get used to his new family. He will need a little time to adjust and feel right at home.
Jet is not the best with kitties so we prefer not to place him with them.
He will do great as your one and only true love provided someone is around a lot of the time at least while he settles in. He will also do beautifully with another friendly and very submissive friend - preferable a female - but a submissive male would be fine. No alpha buddies for this guy though.
If you are looking for a very loving purebred who is calm and easy, and you can provide lots of solid leadership and allow this special gorgeous boy time to settle in, Jet may be the boy for you. He has nothing but love to share!
Jet is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Radar adopted!
This is Radar, a beautiful purebred 1 1/2 year old male Weimaraner . This gorgeous and beautiful dog is about the sweetest boy you will ever meet.
Radar loves to cuddle and be by your side and he is a calm lovely boy. He loves his people and attention. He is a gentle boy who wants nothing more than to please his person.
Radar came to us from a high kill shelter where he was in immediate danger of losing his life. Luckily one of our volunteers was able to get to him in time and bring him safely to a loving foster home. We could not believe we found Radar in the shelter with his beauty and temperament. But we did. And we feel so blessed to have him in our care.
Radar has have had some obedience training and responds to basic commands beautifully. He'll need a little reinforcement and continued work to reach perfection but he loves to please!
He loves human attention more than anything. He's not a big dog and loves to try to cuddle in your lap if you will let him. Radar is crate trained and loves his crate. He will go in all on his own just to hang out and sleeps quietly through the night like a good boy. He is completely housebroken.
Radar is calm and quiet. He's not a barker and is an easy going mellow boy in the house. He is not destructive and is also a very good boy on car rides! Radar walks nicely on the leash.
He likes to meet other dogs and is a very good boy saying hello to all the other dogs he meets. Radar loves other dogs and likes to play with them as well. He also seems to be fine with cats which is always nice. He really is just a lover and loves every living thing.
Radar will do best in a home that will give him the exercise and attention a young dog needs. He would love his daily walks and occasional trips to dog park or dog beach or even a hike or two. He will do fine with another friendly canine companion and also with children.
Since Radar is a Weim, he would do best in a home where he won't be alone hours on end as an only dog. Weims love their company and companionship.
Radar is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered.

| Tony adopted!
Meet Tony! This boy is a darling and sweet purebred male white Labrador Retriever. He's just about 3 years old and is a beautiful Lab with a nice block head and good conformation. Pretty much everything about this Lab is perfection.
Tony is a happy typical Lab in every way we know Labs to be. He loves everyone and takes life in stride. He loves other dogs and gets along beautifully with all of them - big and small.
True to the Labrador breed, this boy loves to retrieve. He will bring back the ball to you and thinks it's just the greatest fun. He also loves carrying soft stuffed toys in his mouth and can be seen with them walking about his foster home. It's adorable.
Tony is a medium energy boy who currently goes to dog park every day where he has lots and lots of friends. He greets all the doggies entering with a friendly wag and welcomes them to play if they want. He's quite popular!
He is still a young Lab who needs his daily exercise. A good hike or long walk and lots of ball throwing every day would be perfect. Once he has had his exercise, Tony settles down beautifully in the house and calmly lays by your feet or on his dog bed with a toy. He is the perfect mix of fun playful Lab and easy calm house dog.
Tony would love to go to dog park and dog beach. Because he is so fabulous with all other dogs, taking him to areas where there are many dogs is easy. He has absolutely no aggressiveness in him and is just a friendly boy.
Tony sometimes tends to pull on the lead. We are working with him and he is doing much, much better. His new owners will want to continue correcting him if he pulls and they should plan on using a pinch collar or gentle leader while he learns. He does not pull on a pinch collar.
He's great in the car and rides calmly and nicely - even with other dogs in the car with him.
It's amazing how well this boy is doing in his foster home. He is not destructive at all. He doesn't like being left totally alone without other dogs in the house so he will do best in a home with another friendly canine companion or where someone is around much of the time though as he gets used to his new home he would do fine alone for longer periods.
Tony came to us from our rescue partner TUAPA in Taiwan. Taiwan Labs have no options for adoption there so their only chance at life is to come to us in the US. Because our mission is to rescue purebred Labrador Retrievers and Weimaraners, we try to take as many Taiwan Labs as we are able once we have taken in all the local Labs in need. We always put our local Labradors first.
The Taiwan Labs in general have always been among the best dogs we have taken in in terms of temperament and ability to get along with other dogs. All Taiwan Labs are completely checked for health and disease and are disease free, healthy dogs.
Tony is a healthy, neutered Lab who is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.

| Aspen adopted!
Meet Aspen - a light yellow purebred male Labrador of 1-2 years old.
He is a handsome, sweet, and loving boy! He is on the tall side and weighs about 85 pounds. He is just so gorgeous in looks, has a soft, lovely coat and the loveliest temperament!
Aspen was found as a stray at a high kill shelter in the outskirts of Los Angeles County. Upon meeting Aspen, we fell in love and we immediately rescued this fabulous boy! We just can't believe that dogs like him end up at a shelter as he is just the best boy ever! But this happens every day - lovely dogs in need of rescue and new forever homes.
At only 1-2 years old, he is quite a mellow boy. He loves to lay at your feel and adores belly rubs.
He loves his daily walks - and does great on leash - keeping perfect pace with you and no pulling. Of course, he is still a young boy, so he will need exercise daily, such as dog park, swimming, or hiking. But after his exercise, he will settle very well in the house and show his calm easy side. He knows his commands of sit and stay and he will take treats gently as well! He is obedient - listening when you correct him with a no. His new family should continue working on his commands with him but honestly this boy really just wants to please.
He loves water and as all Labs do he loves food too, so keep an eye on your plate of food around him and be sure not to leave food on counters, where his nose can reach! Aspen gets along well with all people and doggies. He is very sweet with everyone he meets and loves affection and belly rubs most of all! He enjoys snoozing on the bed (if you allow him) and can often be found upside down as comfy as can be with all four paws in the air, getting some good rest.
Aspen also does well in the car - loves to stick his nose out the window and watch the people go by. He will hop right in or perhaps ask for a slight boost into the car, but once in, he is a happy, Labby boy along for the ride wherever you go! He rides calmly so he can really go anywhere with his person.
He has found a few dog bones that are quite yummy to chew on, and at a younger age, it is always important to have lots of good chew toys around for a Lab! Rawhides, nylabones, and kongs will be great for Aspen as well as lots of other fun toys.
He does not seem to be mouthy or jumpy, so would likely do well around kids, but he is a good size at 85 pounds, so he could definitely knock a toddler down. He would be best placed with kids over 5.
Aspen is healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped!

| Carlton adopted!
Who's the chunkiest, most darling little purebred Lab ever? Carlton! That's right, this little guy is just the cutest bundle of yummy ever!
Carlton is a beautiful 4 month old purebred English male Labrador puppy. He has a stocky English body, soft adorable ears, and the sweetest expression on his Labby face.
He's just a little guy still at about 35 lbs and has a velvety soft healthy thick Labby coat that is shiny and jet black. This little guy is small on size for now, but he is big on love and personality.
This doll baby came to us from a very high kill shelter on the outskirts of Los Angeles County. Hard to believe? You bet it is, yet here he is safe and sound in his foster home grateful to be out of doggie jail and sleeping on a warm soft bed.
Carlton is a very sweet puppy with outstanding Labrador temperament. Though he is still a baby, he is a very calm and very submissive pup on the shy side. He really has the personality we look for in our dogs and we believe he will grow into an outstanding Labrador.
Carlton is a very loving boy. He loves to be close to you and cuddle but he is not overly obnoxious. He is a gentle boy who is not mouthy for a puppy which is unusual.
He seems to look to his person all the time showing a sincere desire to please and learn - a great and important personality trait!
Carlton is a baby, so he really needs a committed home that is puppy ready and willing to go through a Labrador prolonged puppyhood with their new dog. Labs are puppies and not full grown for 2 years.
Carlton will need a nice puppy obedience class to socialize and learn some basic things. This will be rewarding and lots of fun for his new owners. Puppies love the classes and it is the first step to raising a solid canine citizen.
Because he's still a toddler, housebreaking training will need to continue and we would like his new family to have a crate for him so he will have a safe place to be when he cannot be watched.
Puppies need homes where someone is home most of the time for the first couple of months. They don't do well left alone long hours and they can get into trouble.
His new home should be puppy-proofed with little troublesome objects put away and out of reach. Puppies love to chew while adult teeth come in, so lots of rawhides, nylabones, and chew appropriate toys like Kongs should be provided.
A peanut butter stuffed Kong is a great toy to put in the crate with puppy when you need to step away and it keeps them busy and learning that their crate is a fun place to be.
Although Carlton will do fine with children, we prefer no to place him with little toddlers. Even though he is not a mouthy puppy, puppies are mouthy in general and he may become mouthier. Little toddlers can misinterpret a nipple as a bite and could be hurt.
Carlton's new family will need to allow for lots of dog park for doggie socialization and also plan on providing plenty of fun puppy exercise. As Carlton grows, he'll really need activities to help him burn energy.
Carlton is just a beautiful and healthy boy. His chubby body is darling and you just want to squeeze him constantly. This is the kind of boy that steels you heart instantly. Honestly, what could be cuter than a Labrador puppy?
Carlton is a healthy boy who is up to date on vaccines. He has been wormed and since he is a puppy his new family should plan on a follow up worming 2-3 weeks after he is brought home.

| Frisco adopted!
Meet Frisco - a shiny gorgeous male Labrador of about 2 years. This boy is wonderful! He has a very gentle nature! He is about 65 lbs with a slender body - ultimately, he should fill out to about 70 lbs.
This guy came to us as a stray from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter where he was in immediate danger. Any Lab at a shelter is in danger, but black Labs are in the most danger. This is partly because some people don't like black dogs in general, but mostly because the dark kennels don't allow the dark dogs to pop out as much so most people walk right on by them never seeing the dog at all.
Frisco was a little scared when we rescued him, probably from having to spend a day or two on the street before the shelter found him - but as he settles into his foster home, he becomes more comfortable and feels safer every day! He needs a family that will give him leadership and affection in a gentle fashion so he can gain his confidence back as a safe family member in a new home! He is a sweet, mellow boy who has super house manners! He is completely housebroken, doesn't jump up on any furniture, doesn't counter surf and is just an all around calm boy in the house! After he gets his exercise, he settles right down in the house - will follow you from room to room like any lovable lab, and just finds a resting spot where he can be near you!
Frisco is an easy going boy. He's a young Lab who needs good daily exercise. He does really well on his walks, rarely pulling - unless he sees another friendly doggie to play with. He is a young boy, so having doggie play dates or visits to the dog park would be great for him!
He is good with other dogs - greeting them with a smile, some kisses and a slow tail wag. And he even greets kitties this way too., so he would be a good choice for a family with cats. He is fostered with a female lab of 7 years and the two get along great. Frisco often gives her kisses and follows her around the house. He has found dog bones in his new home to be yummy and sometimes even gets the treat of a frozen bone with peanut butter inside - perfect for these hot days! Frisco would do great as your one and only, or with a canine companion. He will play if given the option, but he would also do well alone or with another mellow canine companion.
Frisco is a medium energy boy who settles down beautifully in the house after his exercise. He would benefit from a family that will do some training or a dog obedience class with him - to help him remember his basic commands. This is also a great way to bond with him so he knows your home is one where he will be safe & secure for a lifetime!
This boy will do great in a home with or without children. However, he would probably prefer a calmer household where there's not a lot of kids running around all day. He is non-destructive and can be left alone in the house or outside (or even in a crate) and does beautifully, just resting until you get back home to greet him.
It seems he has not ridden in a car much before, so he does need some coaxing to get in, but once in, he is very calm and quiet - just laying down for the ride. More fun trips in the car would be great for him!
Frisco is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He now just needs his forever home!

| Beavis adopted!
Meet Beavis! Oh this guy is a real cutie! He is happy, sweet, gorgeous, and just the best boy with a giant blocky head and stocky English body.
Beavis is the best! He is a 4 year old purebred yellow male English Labrador. He is about 80 lbs, and a real wiggler and a smiler. Just look at that adorable face.
Beavis was found wandering the streets of Taiwan, sick and afraid when he was taken in by a local rescuer who brought him to TUAPA, a Taiwanese rescue organization who we work very closely with. Indi Lab makes an attempt to take in purebred Labs from Taiwan when we are able to do so as these dogs have no options for adoption there and experience has shown us that these dogs are some of the best dogs we have known in terms of looks and temperament.
This guy is submissive with other dogs and has great doggie manners!! He gets along great with all other dogs - big, little, even dominant not very nice dogs. He takes everything in stride.
Beavis is calm and easy around other dogs. He is slightly playful but really more on the calmer side preferring to hang out with the dogs but not get frisky. He's just more of a zen doggie.
Beavis is a medium energy boy who loves his walks and is good on the leash. He also likes the dog park where he greets every single dog and person that comes in. And he settles very well in the house after his walks.
Beavis is a good boy in the car and house. He's does great in the crate too! And he sleeps perfectly through the night. He does like to carry stuffed toys around in his mouth and will chew on a bone or two if you provide him with a few! Beavis loves to cuddle and be pet. He likes to be close to his person in the house. He's a big wiggler and may knock a toddler over but he will do fine with children over 5 as he doesn't jump, although he can be a little tad mouthy no and again like all purebred Labs.
Beavis is a tad chunky, so he will need a family that will commit to helping him lose a few pounds to reach his ideal weight. Until then, there is just more of him to love! He will also do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or as an only dog. Beavis is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Daphne 2 adopted!
If you are looking for perfection, you will definitely want to hear about this darling girl.
Meet Daphne - a female Fox Red Labrador mix of 2 years. She is very calm, loving, and sweet girl and has outstanding temperament.
Daphne is on the smaller side at about 45 pounds and she is truly a gentle and dainty girl. She has beautiful black eyeliner and a perfect black nose.. just look at her darling face!
Daphne ended up at the highest kill shelter in the state - which is just so hard to believe because she is such a sweet and loving dog! We heard she was just hours away from being put to sleep, so we immediately rescued her to help her find the best forever home!
Daphne is almost perfection in so many ways! At only 2 years old, she is quite a calm and mellow girl. She loves her daily walks - and does really well on leash - walking at the end of the leash, but barely pulling at all. Yet after a morning walk, she will settle down well in the house to rest. She is not jumpy or mouthy at all, so we think she would make a good choice for a family with kids. She knows her commands of sit and shake and she takes treats gently as well! She is obedient - listening when you correct her with a no, and never trying to counter surf at all. She is very well behaved in the house. Calmly watching you while you cook dinner and just lying down at your feet while you are on the computer or watching TV. She sleeps nicely on a dog bed in your room, and has not tried to get on any furniture at all! She is just as sweet as they come! Daphne loves all people and all doggies. And she is great with kitties too! So if you have a cats in your home, Daphne is a great choice - she basically ignores them. She is as lovely as they come greeting every person she meets with a smile and wag - just asking to be pet. Daphne would do well as your one and only, or with another canine companion!
Daphne does very well in the car, she hops right in and enjoys the ride - staying in the back of the SUV perfectly!
Daphne does pretty well off leash too. The same day we got her, she was already following us around in the dog park - staying close by and checking in often. She bonded quickly to her foster and we are certain she will bond very quickly to her new family as well.
Daphne has all of the characteristics we look for in our dogs. She has no aggression, is submissive and well adjusted, and really wants to please her person. Because she is such a calm and gentle dog, and because she is so wonderful with all dogs and cats, she is the perfect dog to take with you most anywhere. She is trustworthy and loving and will make her new family very, very happy.
Daphne would even make an excellent therapy dog for anyone interested in doing that activity because she is so calm and because she loves people so much.
Daphne is healthy girl who is spayed and up to date on vaccines.

Truffle adopted!
Meet Truffle, a darling little 3 year old English or Bench Bred purebred chocolate female Labrador Retriever. Truffle has a deep dark chocolate coat, a blocky head, and a nice stocky English body. She's about the cutest thing ever.
Are you ready for a 100% labby girl? If you are, you will just love Truffle! This girl is so unbelievably CUTE! She’s an adorable little butterball of about 65 pounds with her short little tank body, blocky head, jowly muzzle, and sweetest dark brown eyes! She’s a silly, happy girl, and she takes that happiness everywhere she goes and gives it to everyone who glances her way! WAG WAG WAG!
Truffle came into a tough, high-kill shelter. We couldn’t bear the thought of anything happening to her, because she’s just a perfect teddy bear of a lab. So we promptly rescued her so we could help find her a new forever home.
Truffle loves her doggie toys and running around in the yard. She takes treats gently and knows her basic commands of sit and down.
Truffle does pull on the leash a bit, so walking her on a pinch collar will make you happiest... or she does great on a gentle leader!
She does great in the car - just laying down in the back while you drive! And she does well while you run errands, just resting and waiting for you to return to the car. What a good girl. Truffle is a medium energy girl - but as still a young lab at age 3, she does need plenty of exercise, but will settle well in the house after her exercise. Long walks, hiking, and dog beach, she would adore! Truffle will do great as your one and only as she loves to be the only one receiving your affection. Or, she would also do well with another male canine companion, but she does want to be the top female doggie in the household. She is fostered with another 1.5 year old female lab and they co-exist, but she would likely be much happier as your one and only or as the only female queen. Truffle can be a bit mouthy as many young labs, so we prefer to place her in a home with kids over 8. She is housebroken and sleeps soundly through the night in your room. Truffle has not been tested with cats, so we will not look to place her in a home with kitties at this time.
Truffle is spayed, up to date on all shots, and microchipped - she is now just looking for her forever home! If you think Truffle is a match for your family, be sure to complete an application to adopt and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Timmy pup adopted!
Meet Timmy, an absolutely darling, wiggle, adorable purebred male Labrador Retriever puppy! Timmy is an almost white male Labrador or just 9 months and he is just the best boy.
Timmy is 45 lbs and will likely grow to be a 65 lb adult dog.
Timmy is a typical youngster. He loves a good time, dog park, playing with other dogs and playing with his toys. Life is pure joy for this boy and he has a way of making everyone he meets smile. He was an all time favorite at the vet where the entire staff had to meet this cutie.
Timmy is on the mellower side for a puppy. He's a medium energy boy, but at 9 months there is still a lot of growing up to do and a lot of fun to be had.
Timmy has outstanding temperament. He has the qualities we look for an all love about our breed - zero aggression, submissive tendencies, and a sincere desire to please and learn. His new family will absolutely need to commit to a puppy obedience class as he would love it and we think he will do great. Timmy has already learned sit, down and shake!!!!
Timmy will do best with a family committed to dog park and continued socialization and exercise as this boy grows. He will do great as an only dog or with most any companion dog who is under 6 and likes to play.
Because Timmy is young, his new family might consider a crate for him so he can be safe and out of trouble when they are away, or he will do fine in a safe, secure yard, but puppies usually are not 100% trustworthy alone in the house with lots of fun mischief to get into.
Timmy is great about sharing toys and food and rides nicely in the car next to other dogs. He loves other dogs and they seem to have a great reaction to him as well. We don't know just yet how Timmy would do with kitties though. If we can verify he will do fine, we will consider homes with cats for him.
Timmy sometimes will jump up on a person out of puppy happiness. However he knows he is not allowed to do this so will usually then sit down and remember "oops, I'm not allowed to jump". So continuing to correct any people jumping is important though he so wants to please we think this will be resolved in almost no time. But because he's a youngster and may jump, he'll do best with children over age 6.
Timmy is pretty good on leash, at at his junior size easy to manage. But he will grow up soon, so his new owners must continue teaching him to walk nicely on leash without pulling. This will be addressed in a puppy class beautifully.
Timmy's new owners will want to supply lots of chew appropriate and sturdy puppy toys like Kongs and Nylabones as well as rawhides, balls and other fun things. Remotes, sunglasses, cell phones and the like should be kept out of reach for the next couple months until Timmy shows he has no interest in this interesting objects.
Timmy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Benny adopted!
It's puppy time!!! Meet Benny, a stunning purebred large male Labrador Retriever puppy of only 9 months with a dopey puppy personality, a gorgeous face, and the cutest disposition ever.
Benny is a big beautiful Lab puppy who is a large boy for his age and not done growing. He is already 90 lbs so he will be a very big boy probably at about 100 lbs or so at full size. He will be about the most beautiful dog ever as he grows too because his coat is jet black and shiny and he has a gorgeous block head. What a handsome "little" guy he is.
Benny is a great dog, but he needs some training. Since he's just a puppy, but he is also large, he will need a good puppy obedience class and lots of exercise. The good news is that Benny absolutely loves other dogs and would be a perfect candidate for dog park where he can socialize, meet other young dogs and play, play, play.
He is absolutely solid on temperament. He has no aggression issues and is a very nice and friendly pup so with the right training he will be a wonderful adult dog.
Benny lost his home when his owners moved to a new location that did not allow dogs. Their plan was to take Benny to a high kill Los Angeles County shelter and we just could not let that happen. Thankfully our volunteer was able to get out and meet Benny and take him into rescue so we could help him find a new home.
Benny will do great in a home with another young friendly dog to play with or with someone who is home a lot and will take him to exercise and go to the dog park to play. He would not do well with cats at all as he is very cat curious, thinks they are great fun to chase, and until he is properly trained he could hurt a kitty without meaning too.
Benny is simply too bouncy, happy, and big to be with small children. Even though he loves the kids he is fostered with, they are older children and are large for their age. In general, until Benny is fully trained his puppy behavior and size make him a tad too much for little kids who could be knocked over during play.
For the right family willing to do the work a new puppy requires, you really can't do much better than this boy in terms of beauty and temperament. He is an outstanding dog.
Benny will do best in a home with someone committed to training and working with a new puppy who is a large breed dog and has plenty of energy. With good daily exercise and puppy obedience classes this boy will do great and turn into a wonderful canine companion.
Benny's adoption requires a commitment to take him to an obedience class or to work with a trainer. We want him to have the best start in life! Benny is a healthy happy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and will be microchipped.
If you feel you have the right home for a bouncy, happy, large Labby pup, please let us know.

| Lonnie adopted!
Oh boy! Meet Lonnie, the most handsome, goofy 1 1/2 year old male purebred Weimaraner. He's a more petite boy at just 66 lbs. and is really just perfection.
Lonnie is a wonderful Weim. Friendly, lovable, and just perfect with all other dogs and cats. He even like to give his foster kitties kisses and they willingly accept.
With his stunning looks, and outstanding temperament, it is really hard to believe this boy was ever found where he was. This gentle and calm boy came to us from a very high kill shelter where he was picked up as a stray. He's just thrilled to be in his foster home where he is fostered with a few other Weims and a Lab, all of whom he has made best friends with.
He is especially curious about the pond in the back yard where there are turtles and Coi fish and he loves to hand out watching.
Lonnie is a wonderful boy for many families. He will do great with children and fabulous with other dogs and cats.
Like all Weims, we are fairly sure Lonnie will not do his best left alone for super long days by himself. Weims like company. So if you work, another doggie companion will be great.
Lonnie is a youngster still, so lots of dog park trips would be lovely so he can meet other dogs. Also dog beach and hiking would be perfection for this guy. He settles beautifully in the house and loves to be by your side.
He loves being part of a family and is a true family dog wanting to be involved with what you are doing and nearby his people. Because Lonnie is so easy going and submissive, he is the kind of dog you can take anywhere - to friends homes, and anywhere where you know there will be other dogs. He just kind of goes with the flow.
Lonnie is a healthy beautiful boy who has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.

Scooter adopted!
Meet Scooter, the most adorable, male
Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy! Scooter is only 5 months old with tiny baby teeth. He is really just the cutest guy ever. Scooter is just about 40 lbs and will likely grow to be a 70 lb adult dog.
This cuddly boy is typical for his age. He loves playing with
other dogs and playing with his toys. He is on the calm side for a puppy and is even gentle and sweet with cats.
Scooter is a medium energy guy who settles very well in the house for his age, but at 5
months he still has lots of fun ahead, learning to do, and puppy trouble to get into. He is mellow for a puppy so we believe he will grow up to be a calm and easy going adult.
Scooter has outstanding temperament. He is a submissive boy with no aggressive
tendencies and a sincere desire to please and learn. His new family
will absolutely need to commit to a puppy obedience class as he would
love it and we think he will do great.
Scooter will do best with a family committed to
dog park and continued socialization and exercise as this boy grows into an adult dog. He
will do great as an only dog or with most any companion dog who is young and likes to play.
Because Scooter is just a puppy, his new family should plan on getting a crate for him so he can be safe and out of trouble when
they are away, or he will do fine in a safe, secure yard, but puppies
usually are not 100% trustworthy alone in the house with lots of fun
mischief to get into.
Scooter shares toys and food
and rides nicely in the car next to other dogs. He loves other dogs and cats and
they seem to have a great reaction to him as well. Because Scooter is a wiggly youngster he'll do
best with children over age 6.
Scooter is pretty good on leash and
at his puppy size easy to manage. But he will grow up soon, so his new
owners must continue teaching him to walk nicely on leash without
pulling. This and other important things will be addressed in a puppy class which he new owners should be committed to.
Scooter's
new owners will want to supply lots of chew appropriate and sturdy
puppy toys like Kongs and Nylabones as well as rawhides, balls and other
fun things. Remotes, sunglasses, cell phones and the like should be
kept out of reach for the next couple months until Scooter has grown up a bit.
Scooter came to us from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter where he was in danger of euthanasia. We couldn't be happier to give him a chance at the very best life.
Scooter is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

There are 3 males and one female. All puppies are Chocolate.
Puppies have been vaccinated and wormed and are all very healthy. They will need to receive their follow up vaccines and until the vaccines are completed, they must be kept at home and not permitted to go out and about.

| Clara adopted!
Meet Clara, a sweet, petite sized female Lab of just 1.5 years old! Clara is a purebred, Fox-Red lab - which is truly a yellow lab, but of a rich reddish color. The fox-red labs are very unique and highly sought after! It is truly a treasure to have one in our rescue as we see them rarely and they tend to be very expensive dogs so we are surprised Clara ended up in a shelter!
Clara is on the smaller side at 55 pounds currently. She has a darling, squishy face, with the best eyebrows & brow wrinkles ever! Just look at that wrinkly face! Adorable! She is wonderful with all dogs and even kitties so she is an excellent choice for families with cats! Clara does need her daily exercise as she is still a young Lab at only 1.5 years, but she is the perfect mix of indoor mellowness and energetic fun outside. She is a medium energy girl who would adore regular trips to dog park, dog beach, walks and/or hikes too! She does just fabulous around other dogs and is a great dog park dog! On walks, she loves meeting other dogs and likes to greet them all with kisses. Clara is best walked on a pinch collar or gentle leader. Although she is smaller, she does pull on the leash, but is responding well to leash training. She is the ultimate greeter and wants to be sure she meets everyone, although she needs to be reminded to greet people on all fours, instead of jumping up to their level to say hello. We are working on this and Clara is responding beautifully. She just wants to please.
Clara came to us from a high kill shelter where she was found as a stray. The shelter was a high kill shelter lacking in space and we rescued her just before she was in danger of euthanasia. Hard to believe a sweet, beautiful girl like this with outstanding temperament could be in danger, but due to overpopulation, this is sadly the case.
Clara knows sit and down, and responds very well to "let's go" in the dog park amongst all distractions - what a good girl! She adores all of her dog toys - stuffed squeaky ones, and more... although she also enjoys chewing them up and tearing them apart - sometimes tearing the stuffing out is more fun that playing with the well stitched up toy - oops :) So having lots of toys, rawhides and bones in her new home is a must!
Since she is still a young girl, she may be inclined to chew on the something other than a dog toy, so it's important to watch her and redirect her with a nylabone when necessary. She takes redirection very well! Clara settles well in the house after exercise and does great in a crate too! She will settle down in her crate and be quiet without whining. She gives good kisses without being mouthy which is very nice but she can be jumpy and wiggly, so will probably do best with children over age 5. Of course you must keep in mind that any lab can knock a child down. Clara will do beautifully as an only dog or with another friendly doggie companion. She is currently fostered with a medium energy female lab of 7 years and they get along very well. Clara also rides well in the car and enjoys her car rides to dog park and more. Clara is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, current on flea control & ready for her new home!

| Luke Skywalker adopted!
Oh boy, meet the best, most adorable loving boy on the planet. This gorgeous boy is Luke Skywalker. He is a purebred yellow male Labrador of 4 years and 80 lbs who is just about the most wonderful fabulous Lab to ever live.
Luke is a beautiful boy. He has a strawberry blond yellow coat, a droopy adorable face, and the best most mellow temperament ever.
Luke is a happy, easy going fellow. He's a submissive, chill boy who is wonderful with all other dogs and all people. He is currently fostered with a young female Lab and the two just adore each other playing all the time and cuddling up together.
Although Luke is a very mellow boy, he has a nice dose of playfulness in him too which is the best part about him. He is just the perfect mix of easy house boy, and playful fun boy when appropriate.
Luke came to us from a high kill shelter where his owner turned him in not wanting him any more. He came in with his sister Lady who was just recently adopted from Indi Lab. The two dogs were in horrendous condition, totally neglected, and Luke was very underweight. Both dogs had severe fly strike on their ears from living outside in unsanitary conditions where flys would bite at their ears all day long causing major infection and pain.
It's hard to believe a dog this beautiful and with this level of sweetness could be treated so badly, end up in a shelter, and that his family could legally get away with handing him over in such bad neglected shape. But many people just do not value animals and many people are cruel.
What's amazing is how this boy seems to totally have forgotten his past and how he is so happy and so wonderful. He is near perfection on every level.
Luke wants nothing more than to please his person. He loves to lay at your feel or nearby. He is wonderful in his crate and does not whine or bark.
Since Luke has been with us, he is recovered from his ills, has been completely housebroken, and has proven to be trustworthy in the house.
Luke is a great candidate for families looking for a dog that can go anywhere. He is a wonderful house guest and is so gentle and good with other dogs that he does beautifully in almost any situation.
If you are looking for a darling Lab who is calm, obedient, loving, and gentle, Luke may be for you.
We would love to see Luke go with a friendly female playful companion like his foster sister, but he may do fine as your one and only boy too.
We do not know how Luke will do with kitties so we prefer not to place him with them.

| Roxy 4 adopted!
Meet Roxy, a beautiful, pure-bred, black Labrador Retriever puppy who is turning 1 on Aug. 15th. Oh and YES! Your eyes are not playing tricks on you! She has one black eye and one brown eye! This makes this sweet loveable little girl just a little bit more unique. Roxy was born Aug. 15, 2009 on a large property in Norco, and had lots of room to run and play. Roxy's mother is a beautiful chocolate AKC registered bench bred lab from Maine. Roxy's father is a beautiful pure bred black lab with a blocky head. At seven months old, she moved to the city to a house with a small yard. Roxy adjusted to the change just perfectly. She loves to entertain herself by throwing a ball in the air and catching it. She also loves playing tug with her Mom Dixie. We think she will do just fine as an only pet even though she has always lived with her mom. Roxy would enjoy getting all the love and attention focused on her. Roxy does not have formal obedience training, she does walk nicely on a leash with the use of a small pinch collar. Her owner did start her at a very early age for duck hunting. She caught on to training very quickly, she knows “sit and “drop it”. With her drive and eagerness to please she progressed in her training to responding to just whistle calls Since the move from Norco to the city her owner did not have the time to continue with her training. Roxy has spent the rest of her first year hanging out with her Mom Dixie in a backyard. She loves playing fetch with a ball or a stuffed toy! When you toss the toy out she will sit nicely at the heel position until you tell her to fetch. Then she will bring it back and release it with the command of “drop it”. Since Roxy is a country girl, some of the things city dogs are use to will surprise her at first...like the automatic doors at the local pet store. She will need you to be just a little patient with her so she will gain confidence in these unique settings. Roxy is house broken, and crate trained. She rides beautifully in the car either in the back seat or in a crate. She loves her crate! Roxy is the sweetest little girl that loves belly rubs and attention from her children. But we do caution you since she is young and still in the habit of jumping up on people. This can be a problem with small children who can get knocked over and get hurt. She is a very loving, gentle, sweet puppy with a lot of energy. She loves to play, be with people and would be well-suited to an active owner/family. Roxy will make an excellent companion and is eagerly waiting to be adopted into a loving forever home.

| Reece adopted!
Meet Reece, a gorgeous almost white purebred male Labrador Retriever youngster! Reece is a handsome, adorable and playful 10 month puppy. Who wouldn't fall in love with that face!
This beautiful Labrador boy is just about 55 lbs. He will likely be close to 75 lbs when he is full grown and filled out and we can only imagine how handsome he will be as an adult male!
Reece is 100% housetrained and has had no accidents.
Reese is a playful boy who has typical energy for his age. He does very well with other doggies and his new owners will need to take him to dog park and dog beach to continue to socialize him and let him play with other nice dogs. His doggie manners are pretty good but as with all puppies, he is still learning and may get a correction or two from some of the older wiser Labbies he has been with.
Reece would love to jump up to give you a hug so he is still learning that jumping on a person is a no no. He takes correction very well and seems to want to learn.
He loves children but due to his playfulness he may knock down a small child without meaning to. It would be best for Reece to live in a toddler free environment for now. As he gets older and has more training, he may do well with young children. He has picked up a few toys that weren't his but is learning quickly and taking corrections well.
Reece eats his food slowly and shows no food aggression. He loves to chew on his Nylonbones which are a must for any young pup and these really help to refocus a pupster on their chewies and toys if they ever try to play with something they shouldn't. He has not attempted to chew on any furniture or shoes yet but remember he is still young and will need to be taught what is appropriate.
A nice puppy obedience class will be a must to help this young, sweet boy achieve his full potential. He is a quick learner and wants to please his people so much. He loves to lay by your feet when you are on the couch or at the computer. And in true Labrador fashion, he loves to follow his people around the house... just to be with them.
Reece is learning his leash skills and how to walk nicely. He will need some work on that but he loves to walk and explore. He will do best on a pinch collar or gentle leader in the beginning. Since he is still only about 55 lbs, he's still pretty easy to handle and the perfect age to learn his leash skills.
If you are willing to put some time and energy into helping this handsome boy continue to grow and flourish, willing to give him lots of love and attention, you will have a friend for life.
Reece is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.

| Magoo adopted!
Meet Magoo, a 1 1/2 year old black purebred male Labrador Retriever with a darling personality. This boy has a jet black shiny coat, a blocky head, and nice pearly white teeth. He's a very handsome Labby!
Magoo is just wonderful. For a young Lab, he is very calm and easy going. He loves all people and all dogs and is on the submissive side. He has met lots of different dogs and makes friends with everyone big and small. What a good boy.
Magoo is a great smaller sized lab at only about 55 lbs. He's a petite boy but had a giant heart and it's hard not to fall in love pretty quick when you meet him.
Magoo is medium energy and a young boy. He'll do great at dog park and dog beach because he is so easy and gets along so well with all other dogs. He would enjoy lots of time with his person or family and because he behaves so well, can go almost anywhere.
Magoo came to us from a high-kill Los Angeles County shelter where he was in danger. Black Labs in particular have trouble getting adopted from shelters as it is easy for families to walk by and not see them in the shelter lighting. When we met Magoo we could see what a prize we had and immediately got him out to safety.
Magoo is doing great in his foster home where he is with his foster brother Mulligan another black male Lab. The two get along beautifully and share toys and play nicely.
Magoo will do fine with children though tiny toddlers could be knocked over so we would prefer to place him with children over 6.
Magoo is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Briggs adopted!
This is our sweet, wonderful boy Briggs. Briggsy is a beautiful English black lab of around 5 years of age. He is an average sized male at 80 pounds. He’s gorgeous and lean at his current weight but could also stand to gain a few pounds. Briggs has a wonderful face with a big blocky head and shiny midnight black fur.
Briggs came to us with terrible untreated ear infections that resulted in elephant skin in both ears. He also had kennel cough and such serious fly strike on his ears that he was missing hair. He also has callouses from a life spent on concrete. He basically was a neglected dog that had a miserable life. At least up until now.
The funny thing about these neglected dogs is that they end up being some of THE best family dogs. They are so grateful for everything we do for them, and that’s Briggs. Once he was settled in, he became just the perfect dog. He loves everyone in the house and greets them all with the same happy wag and incredulous look, like “can you believe how great this place is?” He has won the hearts of everyone around. We are so happy to be able to give such a sweet, deserving dog another chance.
Briggs is trained. He is a DREAM on leash, needing only the occasional voice correction to walk at a perfect show heel. He will sometimes take a break to sniff a tree but comes back when you command him, return to heel, Briggs. He has a gorgeous recall, sit and down. He is so eager to please that we are sure he’d be a quick learner for anyone who wanted to further his obedience training. He’s fabulous in the car and LOVES to go for rides. He marches out to the garage a few times every day whether he gets to go in the car or not! He doesn’t bark at the doorbell or arriving guests. He’s a perfect gentleman – all the time.
Briggs is such an amazingly good boy in the house. After his walk and breakfast, he settles beautifully. He’ll sleep, watch you clean house or read a book for hours if you like. He loves to sit next to you as long as he can be comfortable either on a rug, dog bed, or...the couch. He is not a velcro dog but does keep track of all your whereabouts. If he feels you’ve been gone an awfully long time or can’t hear you, he’ll come looking for you. He is completely house trained and not destructive. And if you must be away from home, he’s quiet and content to sleep for hours if you give him his exercise first.
He loves children and greets them very politely, wagging intently but without jumping or getting into faces. We think he’d be a superb family dog. He’s not a big kisser either. He will lick your face if invited but doesn’t insist that everyone needs to be licked. He doesn't jump on people and is not mouthy so great for kids.
Okay, okay, we’ll admit that Briggs isn’t completely perfect. He does need some time to transition into your home and schedule. He’s a sensitive boy and his time in the shelter was difficult for him. We are confident that you will see the same incredibly well-behaved dog that we have in foster in no time, but he may need a kind but firm hand in the transition. We think it’d be great if he wasn’t the first dog ever in his new forever home. In his foster home he spends all his time with an older female dog, and they LOVE each other. We think he’d make a fantastic only dog or be a great companion to an older dog. It would be best if his new friend was a female or smaller.
Briggs is still being treated for his ear infection but otherwise is very healthy. He is microchipped, up to date on shots and neutered!

| Chopper 2 adopted!
Meet Chopper 2, a handsome and happy 4-5 year old male yellow purebred Labrador Retriever. This boy is just a typical happy wiggler with a giant smile and darling personality. He is wonderful with all people, children, cats, and all dogs.
Chopper is just about 70 lbs and is a stocky more English Lab with a nice block head. His coat is a pale fox red and he has a beautiful thick otter tail. He is healthy and sturdy but a very gentle boy with a happy go lucky attitude about pretty much everything. And even though he is about 4 or maybe even 5 years old, he is still very puppyish in many ways.
He loves to carry toys around in his mouth with his tail wagging. And he is great about sharing them with other doggies. He absolutely loves other dogs and is wonderful at dog park and even riding in the car with them.
Chopper is a medium energy Lab who will do great with a good walk or a dog park visit each day. He is the kind of dog you want to take to dog beach or dog park because he gets along so beautifully with all other dogs. At dog park he will great every dog and every person entering!
Chopper came to us from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter where he was picked up as a stray. He is in very good healthy condition with no issues so we know he came from a pretty decent home where he was well cared for, yet no one ever came for him or claimed him. He was previously neutered as well so his former owners must have been responsible people to some extend though they did not microchip him.
Chopper will do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. He is mostly trustworthy in the house when left alone, though he may get into trouble by going into the trash if it's left out. He's basically a curious and friendly boy who will be perfection so long as he gets his daily exercise and attention.
Chopper will do fine with children and even toddlers though any Lab can knock a toddler over with their wiggly tail and large body.
We do also know Chopper is good with kitties so families with cats are good choices for him as well.
Chopper sort of has it all - a friendly happy temperament, excellent doggie skills with other dogs, great with kitties and kids, great in the car, and just an all around happy best friend. You will have a hard time doing better than this darling boy.
Chopper is healthy, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered.

Cisco adopted!
Meet Cisco, the adorable, goofy, mild mannered, purebred 4-5 year old Labrador boy. Cisco is a purebred Silver Labrador who is about as gorgeous as they get and his look are only the least impressive quality this boy has to offer.
Cisco is amazing with all other dogs and cats. He is a friend to all and loves all people too. He is a typical happy wiggly Labby who only wants to please and has a calm, mellow temperament to boot.
Cisco is a silver Lab. That means he is really a chocolate Lab. Chocolates come in Dark Chocolate, medium chocolate, charcoal, and silver with silver and charcoal being the most rare. They are uncommon, highly desirable and very, very expensive dogs so we rarely see them in shelters. It's extremely uncommon to see a dog this well bred in a shelter but there he was.
To see more Silver Labs or learn more go to this link http://www.silverlabs.com/
Cisco is likely an AKC registered Lab as his dew claws have been removed. He was previously neutered when he came into the shelter and very well taken care of so we think whoever owned him must have loved him and paid a lot of money for this boy.
Cisco sat at the shelter for awhile before we became aware of his plight and as soon as we did, we rushed over to evaluate him. Needless to say he was perfection and came home with us that day.
Cisco is a medium energy boy on the mellower side. He will do great with a good walk everyday and is a wonderful candidate for dog park and dog beach because of how wonderfully he gets on with all other doggies big and small.
Cisco would do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only true love.
He is on the larger side at about 85 lbs and though he will do wonderfully with children, we think he may be too large for tiny toddlers.
He'll do beautifully with cats and is a great choice for families with kitties.
Cisco love the water and swimming. The first thing he did when he got to his rescuers home was jump in her turtle pond to swim around. He is a water doggie for sure and would love a home with a pool or a home where he can go to the beach sometimes.
Cisco is a very special boy who has it all - looks, great temperament, and a sincere desire to please. He's calm in the house but has enough spunk to have fun too.
We will never understand how these doll babies end up in shelters. We continue to see just the best dogs every day out there. This guy pretty much blew us away and we feel so lucky that we can be there for him.
Cisco is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this treasure is right for your family, please be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Luchia adopted!
Meet Luchia, a darling and sweet purebred 6 year old black female Labrador Retriever with a bright shiny coat, lovely soulful eyes, and a wonderful temperament! Luchia came to us from an owner who lost her home and had to put Luchia up for “adoption”. We stepped in to help this girl find her new forever home.
Luchia is a medium energy girl who just loves fetching the ball! She loves to carry the ball around too. She especially loves going for walks and walking Lucia has proven to be sheer joy. She never pulls, walks right by your side with a loose leash and is just a pleasure to walk! She passes other dogs nicely and tries very hard to please. Luchia is house-broken and cat-friendly! Luchia has a very soft shiny coat and is a bit of an attention hog but so sweet in her efforts to cuddle with you that it’s hard to resist these and other attempts to gain approval. At times she can be a little possessive in getting all the attention, however she is easily corrected and has learned she is not the only princess in the house! Lucia really loves to retrieve and needs her regular daily exercise like all Labs, but after this she settles beautifully and is a calm house companion! She is the best mix of active playful and calm snuggler!
At the park she is very calm off-leash, comes running when called and sits still to go back on leash. She knows her commands, sit, stay, come and down. Luchia will be good with kids - although we think children over 5 would be best. Luchia would be great as your one and only or with another male canine companion. One could hardly do better than the loyal companion that Luchia is. She’ll be just as happy to find a new, caring owner. Schedule a visit to meet her and you’ll find it hard to say goodbye.
Luchia is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped!

| Fudge adopted!
Meet Fudge - the sweetest, most affectionate and mellow chocolate lab you will ever meet. He loves to give kisses and to stay by your side. Fudge is a purebred Englishy boy with a nice blocky head and a darling smile.
Even though he has a sweet name, Fudge has had a rough life. He has been abandoned by two families in the past. The last one was going to bring him in to a high kill shelter because they didn’t want him anymore. Luckily for him, a very compassionate neighbor stepped in and saved his life by calling us. He is looking for a forever home that will love him and stick by him no matter what. He has the most serene, gentle and calm temperament ever. He will be a great addition to a family with kids and kitties. He does not jump, is not destructive and is not a barker. He really is the most mellow dog his foster mom has ever met. You can’t help it but fall in love with him….. Fudge is crazy about a ball. As soon as you get one, his tail wags non-stop and he is ready to play. He brings the ball back and leaves it by your feet as a sign that he wants to keep on playing. He is a medium energy dog that loves to play fetch, take long walks and just chill out by your side. He settles beautifully at home and sleeps like a baby all night long. His coat is a bit dull and dry because he was kept outside with no care. His foster mommy is giving him omega-3 which is great for the skin, coat and has many other health advantages. Soon, he will have a shinning and smooth coat. Fudge knows the “sit”, “come” and “down” command. We are working on the “stay” and “heal” command at the moment. He will also benefit from an obedience class where he will learn how to become the best dog for his future family. He is a little chubby now at 81 pounds due to the lack of exercise. With a proper diet and daily exercise, he will soon be at his ideal weigh of 75 pounds. Fudge is about 6 years old but don’t let his age fool you. He has plenty of energy and loves to play, to go for long walks and to hang around by your side. He has a beautiful face that seems to smile at you when you give him some attention and a belly rub.
Fudge is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Lady adopted!
Meet Lady! Lady is a petite 56 lb purebred white English (or Bench Bred) female Labrador of 3 years. She is cute, sweet, wiggly, loving, and pretty much all around adorable in every way. She is a beautiful Labrador with excellent conformation, a nice blocky head, and a thick otter tail.
This little girl is such a happy Lab with so much joy and sweetness it is hard to imagine what we saw when we took her in.
Lady was turned into the shelter by her neglectful owner who no longer wanted her. She was filthy, underweight, and was clearly an outside only dog. Living outside in unsanitary conditions, this girl ended up with fly strike so bad that her outer each was severely infected. It was some of the worse fly strike we have ever seen in our rescue Labs. She was turned in with her brother Luke Skywalker who will also be made available for adoption when he is well. He is still recovering from the untold neglect of their former owners.
Despite the condition Lady was in and the fact that she was in a high kill shelter confused, underweight and hungry, and suffering from infected ears, Lady came to her rescuer wagging her tail, smiling, and gently asking for affection. We knew this girl was a prize and we feel so blessed to have her in our care.
Lady is a healthy happy little Lab. She's playful and loves her walks. She's got lots of spunk, but is basically a very calm girl in the house and a medium energy girl. Lady loves all people and all doggies. She is as sweet as they come with her foster brothers and all other dogs she meets. She greets every person she meets with a wiggle, smile and wag and basically has not a care in the world.
Lady likes to be very close to you and if she is particularly excited will try to climb up in your lap. At her size, she actually CAN fit in your lap though her foster mom has been discouraging this behavior and teaching Lady more "Lady"-like manners. Lady's biggest fault is her deep desire to eat food - any food - all food - all the time. She loves to eat and we imagine she was not fed well in her former home given her original weight of only 55 lbs and her brothers extremely low weight. She loves her food and her treats and will sit nicely for you to get a morsel of something yummy. She takes treats very nicely and they are a wonderful training aid with Lady. She has not food aggression and eats nicely next to her foster brothers at meal time.
Lady's love of food is great in terms of training and motivating her, but she absolutely will counter surf! Since she is a little girl, she can't really reach much on the counter, but she will try and has been successful in helping herself to a few things in her foster home. Of course the best way to stop counter surfing in Labs is (guess what?) not leave food on the counters!!! So it's really quite easy to end this behavior.
Lady is wonderful on the leash and does not pull much at all. She is responsive to her handler but does need continued work to be perfect. She was downright terrible on leash when we got her so just a little work with Lady has gone a long way!
Lady will dog great with children, but toddlers are not a great choice since she will likely take snacks away. Lady is wonderful with kitties. She basically ignores them.

| Annika adopted!
Meet our adorable Annika, Dutch meaning “Grace.” Annika is a 2 year old Chocolate female lab who is now ready for a family to call her own.
Although her history isn’t so clear, she was surrendered with her 4-week old pups at one of LA’s busiest and highest kill shelters, no place for a new Mommy.
Our wonderful volunteer rescued her and her pups and made sure she got into a foster home as soon as possible where she has learned to relax and enjoy an indoor home environment to best care for her new family.
Annika has been a wonderful Mom and now her puppies are weaned and her job is done and although she still watches over her four pups, she’s so ready for her forever home.
Annika’s chocolate, shiny and thick coat is coming back after a bit of hair loss due to stress of pregnancy. She absolutely loves to be brushed and body rubs are a must. And she deserves all the attention we can give her!
Her house manners are wonderful. She is crate trained and quiet for a work at home family. Annika would follow you from room to room if you let her.
Annika had an outdoor only life before so although she is housebroken she might have an accident (like any newly adopted Lab) until your routine is better understood.
Annika is an amazing and loyal companion dog. She will lie at your feet or by your side. Annika walks great on the leash. She loves to go for rides and sits nicely watching everything.
Annika would make a great companion for a single person for she has a deep protective bark when necessary. All she wants to do is please and be loved. She’s a quick learner and would love to go through a basic obedience course with you to build confidence and it’s a great way to bond with your new love. This girl is gentle around kids and would be a great buddy for a child to grow up around or a senior to have by their side.
Annika is extremely alert and very playful. She loves to pull toys out of the toy boxes and play. Sadly, she knows how to play ball by herself bouncing it all around to interact alone since she probably never had anyone to play with. But her Foster Daddy is teaching her how to retrieve and she’s caught on it’s more fun to play with others. Annika is not spayed and will require a spay deposit for she has to wait a bit after having nursed her pups before she can undergo the major surgery. She is current on all vaccinations, micro-chipped, on flea control and de-wormed.

| Dundee adopted!
Dundee is simply adorable! He is a gentle calm 5 year old purebred yellow male Lab who is wonderful with children, all people, all dogs, and even kitty cats. He is truly loved in his foster home, and will make a wonderful addition to any loving home. Dundee is fostered with a 1.5 year old female lab and he tries to keep up with her and her playful nature. The two actually play together and Dundee is doing a surprisingly good job keeping up with his foster sister considering he is on the road to loosing some weight. Dundee came to the us a tad chunky, so we are currently working on his diet and exercise to help him reach his healthy weight of about 75 pounds. It is important that his new family be as committed to helping Dundee shed some pounds so he can be as healthy as possible! Dundee is a true lab in that the first time we introduced a tennis ball to him he ran faster than we had seen him run and retrieved it like a pro! At one point he and his foster sister had a game going where we would throw the ball, he would retrieve it and then drop it, and then his foster sister would pounce on the ball and bring it back to start the whole thing over again. It was beyond cute!
Dundee reminds us of the lab in the recent Pixar cartoon "Up". He is so loving and eager to please that he can act a little goofy. He's gentle and loyal. He will lay at your feet when you watch t.v. or snuggle with you on the couch if you let him.
Dundee would be great with kids, even little ones due to his sweet and patient nature. He is a low to medium energy dog. He is as energetic as the people around him. If you are sitting he sits, and if you are active he is too. He is so wonderful at taking the lead of the people around him.
At first Dundee was hesitant about the backyard. It took some coaxing to get him back there. Who knows, perhaps he lived in a backyard in his previous life. But, he has grown to be comfortable outside now. Of course, he loves being inside and is pretty trustworthy. Although, he did get a hold of our remote control thinking it was a chew toy, so I would keep an eye on objects that could be confused as a chew toy for this boy. He is almost 100% on his housebreaking, so his new family will need to watch him at first in his new home and take him outside regularly and he will be 100% in no time!
Because Dundee is doing so well with his very submissive foster sister, we think he would do well in a home with another dog. On the other hand, he loves his humans, and does enjoy following them around as any lab does, so he could be very happy as your one and only as well.
Dundee is very good on leash. He listens and doesn't pull. He walks as fast or as slow as you walk. Also, Dundee does not beg for food. Overall Dundee listens very well. He seems to know that his humans are his leaders. He knows sit, and comes on command!
Dundee is simply put, a wonderful wonderful dog. In just a couple of days he already feels like he is a part of our family, and we are certain that he will adjust well to another family as well. Falling in love with him couldn't be more natural or easy to do. Dundee will also do well with kitties, so if you have cats in your home, Dundee is a great choice! Dundee is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped!

| Savannah adopted!
Meet Savannah, the sweetest, most loving purebred female Weimaraner ever to walk the planet. She is about 2 years old and is just about 60 lbs of pure joy.
She can melt your heart with her eyes alone, but when she starts talking to you (yes she can talk!), you will be forever lost in Savannah. She is cute and cuddly and smart and sassy at the same time. She can actually say "I Love You"!
You may have seen Savannah on our home page awhile back when she was in very bad shape. We found Savannah at a high kill shelter where she was taken after being hit by a car. Her leg and pelvis were broken and she was close to death and in shock. Indi Lab Rescue spent over $10,000 to help Savannah with surgery and recovery.
Several months later, after a full recovery from her surgery, this very special, happy, loving girl is finally healthy and ready for her forever home! Savannah gets around beautifully and is a normal, healthy, happy doll baby.
This love bunny just adores her people. It is totally true that she will look at you and speak to you in this adorable voice. She knows how to say "I love you." She is the most affectionate girl on the planet.
Savannah is a true Weimaraner. She loves to be with her people and is a true velcro dog. She would love to get all the attention there is if she can. In fact, sometimes she will even give a correction to her foster brother Lab if he works his way into the petting and so we need to remind her that she is not a princess, even though she thinks she is (and she really is!)
She loves to cuddle and snuggle with her people or just lay at your feet. She needs a home that will treasure her and love her deeply.
Savannah is a very good girl in the house and the car and just lays down while you drive. She enjoys running errands with her foster mom and sometimes finds her way into the passenger seat! She is totally housebroken and trustworthy in the house, but shoes need to be put away as she has a particular fondness for them. She uses the doggie door to let herself in and out!
Savannah does wonderfully with other dogs and all people. She does like to "talk" to her people. When Savannah is very very happy and has something she needs to share with you, she will talk and sing to you and even snaps her teeth together to make her point! She is not biting or nipping, just chomping her teeth to the beat of her own drum!
Savannah has had a hard start in her young life. She is a sensitive and sweet girl. Her new owners should be gentle and not too hard on her. She is so sweet and wants to please that harsh training methods or yelling are just too harsh for her.
Like all Weimaraners, Savannah can get a little anxious when separated from her person so she needs to be placed in a home where someone is home much of the time or with a work at home person. She wants to be by your side a lot. This should mellow out some over time once she knows where she lives and that she is owned, but in the beginning she will be a little needy and want to be by you a lot.
Savannah also does great with kitties so is a good choice for homes with cats.
Savannah is one of the most precious and special dogs we have ever rescued. She deserves only the best most loving families. She is an Indi Lab all time favorite and means the world to all of us at the rescue!

| Liza adopted!
Meet Liza, an adorable purebred black female Labrador puppy of approximately 6 months! Liza is a darling little 45 lb girl who will grow to be about 55 lbs at full size, so she is a petite sweetheart. She has a lovely, healthy, jet black velvet coat and perfect pearly white puppy teeth!
Hard to believe we found this darling purebred stunning puppy in a high kill shelter but we did. It was immediately evident that Liza was a lovely girl with perfect temperament so we rescued her as soon as we were able.
Liza is a young girl and still has a few puppy traits including getting into trouble at times! But she is easily redirected to a nylabone or other toy when told. She is a bouncing happy girl who absolutely loves other dogs and loves to play. She has taken a special affinity for soft squeaky toys and rope toys in her foster home. Having plenty of chew toys for this young pup will make her very happy!
Liza is a medium energy girl and will be a clam adult dog, but she is STILL a puppy, and even calm puppies are still energetic! So lots of dog park time and exercise for this girl is a must. She will do great at dog park where she will play and love being with the other dogs and this is also great for her continued puppy socialization.
Liza knows sit and is learning her other commands. She wants to please and is food motivated so she is very easy to train. Her new family should plan to do a puppy obedience class with Liza which will be pure fun for her and for you. Puppy classes are always a wonderful way for youngsters and their owners to bond and for puppies to learn all the basic things they need to.
Liza likes her crate and will sleep inside with the door open. This is a wonderful plus for a young Lab because the crate is a wonderful tool and Liza has no resistance to it - actually enjoying being inside with her toy or treat. It make a nice safe place to leave her when you must be out for a period of time.
Liza is still a youngster, so we prefer to place her in a home where someone is not gone long hours so she can get the attention, training, and exercise all young Lab puppies deserve! She is quiet when you leave her at home, with no barking or whining, so she will do fine if left alone for short periods of 4-5 hours.
This little girl is about as sweet as they get. She loves everyone and all dogs. We do not know how she will do with cats so we prefer not to place her with the unless the person is absolutely willing to train her to "leave it" with kitties if she goes after them.
Liza will do fine with children, however she is a bit mouthy - as many Lab puppies can be, so we prefer to place her with children over age 5. Liza is full of fun playful energy and yet can settle down well in the house. She just needs plenty of puppy playtime, exercise and puppy training to learn how to become a great canine citizen!
Liza is a healthy happy puppy who is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Haus adopted!
Haus is a darling, playful 4 year old purebred yellow male Labrador Retriever boy. He is the best dog with the most wonderful mellow temperament and a very playful and fun nature.
This doll baby came to us from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter. Our volunteer met Haus and just loved him!
Haus loves to play with his toys or run around the yard with his foster doggie friends. You can find him carrying his squeaky toy around the backyard or in the house. He loves his squeaky toys! But oh boy, bring a tennis ball out and the fun begins.
Haus loves, loves, loves tennis balls. And he is a great retriever too! Just don't leave the tennis balls out and about or he'll squeeze them into pieces. He doesn't mean to but just loves to play with them. So only bring them out during ball play or you'll be buying a lot of tennis balls!
And he does love his soft squeaky toys too! He doesn't like to give up his squeaky toys to the other foster doggies but he does enjoy playing tug of war with them with his foster siblings a small male Bichon and a large female Great Dane.
Haus walks very nicely on a leash pulling only once when he saw a rabbit (but honestly if you were a dog and you saw a rabbit, you would pull too!) He walks in the heel position very nicely until released to have fun sniffing all the scents in the neighborhood. He loves to see people and other dogs on the walk but doesn't try to pull to get to them. He just looks over at them and walks on passing other dogs very nicely.
Haus is very good with children but he may knock down a toddler by accident when he runs around the yard during play. He is currently fostered with a little girl and a little toddler boy.
Even though Haus enjoys his toys, he has left the children's toys alone which is very nice.
He really enjoys playing with his foster doggie friends but he equally enjoys being with his people. Haus would do well as your one and only or with a playful doggie friend.
If you have water, than he'll be right there with you. He jumps into the kids pool and has a great time. He would probably love playing at the beach or in a pool after all he IS a Labrador!
Haus eats his food like a perfect gentleman and shows no food aggression. Even when his little foster Bichon brother comes up and trying to edge his way into eating with Haus.
We do not know how Haus would do with kitties so we will not be placing him with them.
Haus is a heathy boy who is up to date on his shots, neutered, and in great health. If you'd love to have a dog to play with, run with and then just be able to relax with... Haus is your man. He is an all around great family dog. Just give him his exercise in the morning, at noon (during cooler weather) and at night and he'll love you for life.

| Katie adopted!
Meet Katie, a beautiful yellow female 3-4 year old purebred female Labrador with a happy, playful energy. Katie is on the smaller side at 55 lbs and is an athletic girl.
This little girl is wonderful with all other dogs. She does great at the dog park and loves to run around, fetch a ball and play with the other dogs. Katie is a very happy, wiggly, girl and can be jumpy when she gets excited - especially around her favorite people. She has plenty of energy and would benefit from a physically active family.
Katie would do great as your running partner, long hikes and/or trips to dog park each and every day! She settles well at home after she has had her exercise. She loves to play with her stuffed squeaky toys and tosses them around for herself, so having those in her new home is a must! She will also play fetch, so playing in the backyard or a fenced park she would adore.
Katie does pretty well on leash, she doesn't pull, although she does zigzag as though she is not as familiar with being leash walked in a straighter line. With just a little training, she will be a great walker in no time! She knows her commands of sit, and down, and she takes treats rather gently. She is food motivated, so learning her other commands can be done through treat training. Katie would do great in a refresher dog obedience course - as it is a great way to bond with owner & dog.
Katie will do her best in a home that will provide generous daily exercise. She would do fine as an only dog or with another friendly canine companion. She is currently fostered with a 7 year old female lab and the two get along just fine. Katie can be quite jumpy, so she is best placed with children over 7. Katie would give chase to kitties, although she would never harm them, but we would prefer to place her in a home without cats.
Katie is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and current on flea control.

| Buster adopted!
Meet Buster - a
drop dead gorgeous, purebred male Labrador of 3-4
years with the sweetest face and most gentle temperament.
This gorgeous hunk of perfection is as darling and sweet
as he is beautiful. Buster is a jet black, shiny boy with a big blocky
head. he is an outstanding looking Labrador who is beyond sweet. Few come better than this prize of a boy.
Buster
is a big boy at 100 lbs. But don't let his size fool you. He is calm
and gentle and a mellow, easy going boy who is well behaved in the
house, and happy to lay at your feet.
Even though Buster is a mellow boy, he is still a boy with nice energy. He loves his walks and because he is still a young fellow, should get a good walk or two daily.
Buster is not a high energy
dog. He's a pretty chill guy, but he can also do a good walk every day
and enjoys being with his people. He is great with other dogs so walking him is nice as he can pass other dogs and is very friendly. Buster can at times pull on the leash so he does best walked on a pinch collar. Once in step he walks nicely and is a pleasure.
Buster is very good with other
dogs and loves all people. He especially is taken with men and loves his
foster daddy.
This boy came to us from a very high kill shelter
in Riverside county where he was in danger. He arrived at the shelter
with his little sister Adeline, recently adoption through Indi Lab Rescue. Though these
dogs did have an owner, he opted to not pick them up and left them at
the shelter where they were confused and afraid.
It's hard for us to imagine this - especially after taking these lovely and sweet dogs in. They are so wonderful, once cannot imagine leaving them at a shelter.
When we met
Buster and saw how sweet, easy going and lovely he is, there were no
second thoughts. We took him home then and there.
Buster is doing
great in his foster home. He is fostered with several other doggies and
gets along beautifully with all of them. He is a dog that love to
please. He is trustworthy in the house and rides beautifully in the car.
Buster
is calm and would do fine with children, though because he is so large,
we prefer not to place him with tiny toddlers who he could knock over
without meaning to.
He will do wonderfully with another friendly
canine companion or as your one and only true love. We do not know how
Buster would do with kitties so we will not place him with cats at this
time.
Buster is up to date on his vaccines,
microchipped, and neutered and has had a nice teeth cleaning.

Mac adopted! Mac is a darling purebred pale yellow English male who was dumped by his owners at a high kill shelter.
We got Mac out in a record 2 days where he was whisked away to the vet for a full veterinary exam. He has been bathed, conditioned, fluffed and buffed! Mac has lots of silly nicknames already from making his foster mom laugh!
His dew claws have been removed so we are sure he is an AKC registered Labrador. He's a bit tubby right now, but slimming down each day running in the orchard and playing with his friends, a ball or a soft toy! He's probably about 80 pounds and would look great at 75. Mac is totally housebroken and a good boy. He is quite curious about everything in the house until you show him the ropes. He is not a chewer, digger, or barker.
Mac can be a counter surfer like almost all Labs, so his new owner will want to keep goodies off the counter. He is a goofy boy who initially tried to climb up on furniture and even a table! But is quickly learning not to do that. Meanwhile he is beyond adorable.
He is quite popular with all dogs big and small and we'd love for him to
have a home with another active young pup to chase and play with! He sure loves to play with the girly labs and would enjoy a person who is home a lot to guide him to be the excellent canine citizen he longs to become! Or enrolling in a basic obedience class to give him some structure which all young Labbies love.
He is gentle with older children but probably no toddlers ones for him to accidentally knock over. He rides nicely in the car and walks well on a martingale collar. He sure is smart too..as he has learned a lot in his short time in foster!
Mac loves to be with his people and his foster mom has been letting him sleep in bed with her being lazy and snoozing well into the late morning.... He is a medium energy dolly who will make some new family very happy. It never ceases to amaze us how these wonderful creatures can be so tossed aside! Foster mom is falling in love more everyday as he shapes up! So hurry if Mac looks like your next best friend! Mac is neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped and houstrained!

| Duncan 2 adopted!
Meet Duncan! Duncan is a beautiful purebred male Labrador that is sort of an "English" or Bench Bred style, white male Lab of about 75 pounds. He has a nice block head and a stunningly gorgeous white coat. He gets compliments on his looks everywhere he goes.
Duncan is about 2 years old. He is a beautifully bred Lab with a nice stocky conformation and a perfect blocky head. This boy is more than just looks though. He is the sweetest, happiest Lab in the world who loves attention - the more attention on him, the better!
Duncan is a wiggly, happy Lab that loves everyone and everything. He is very well mannered on the leash, walking right beside you, never pulling on the leash. And, he rides excellently in the car, simply laying down while you drive. He accompanies his foster mom on errands and settles well in the car while you run into the store.
Duncan takes treats very gently and is not a jumper, however he is a mouthy boy as many young labs can be, so he is best placed with children over 8 years old. Of course, keep in mind that any large lab can still knock a child down.
Duncan is lovely with other dogs he meets although being the attention lover that he is, he does get jealous and would prefer all eyes and petting hands be on him. He can nudge you or other dogs out of the way at times to be sure you pay attention to him - or talk to you with his loving moan or bark - what a spoiled, happy boy he is! He is being fostered with a 7 year old female lab and the two get along great.
Duncan is a young boy, so can be calmly playful at times, but he is not an active, playful pup. He would do fine in a household where he is your one and only doggie. Or, he would do well with another mellow canine companion, as he is a mellow boy himself and so prefers to have other dogs he lives with be somewhat mellow as well.
Duncan is a real cuddler and lover. He really loves to give kisses! He is just the best boy to snuggle down with at home and love on. He particularly takes to the bed & the couch as his favorite spots, although could be trained off of those and onto a dog bed if you so desire. He is completely trustworthy in the house, and not destructive at all, so no worries about leaving this boy at home. He may bark at first when left alone, but settles down after a couple minutes and quiets down to sleep while you are gone. However, he would probably do better in a home where he is left alone for less than 6 hours every day as he loves to be near his people and get all the love and affection he deserves. If you work 8 hours or more every day and he will be home alone, he is probably not the dog for you, unless you use a dog walker or have another doggie.
Duncan is also completely housebroken, although any dog should be watched in their new home environment at first. Duncan knows his basic commands of sit and come, and we are working on down & stay right now. He is definitely food oriented, so treat training is pretty easy with this boy. Duncan is a very mellow boy with lower to medium energy and will do best in a home with plenty of nice walks, loving and cuddling. He does enjoy swimming and hiking, and he does great on his off leash hikes, staying right with you, but only for short periods as he is not an active, athletic boy.
We do not know how Duncan will do with cats therefore; we may not want to place him in a home with them.
Duncan is a beautiful dog with an excellent tempearment. It's hard not to fall in love with him as he is like a big stuffed white bear cub. Duncan is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and microchipped.

| Nellie 2 adopted!
Meet Nellie! Nellie is a very sweet, loving, and truly beautiful purebred female Weimaraner. She is just about 3-4 years old and is the sweetest most loving girl you will meet.
Nellie came to us from a high kill shelter where she was abandoned by her former family. Nellie was so scared and timid at the shelter, all alone in a loud, scary, unfamiliar place, we knew the moment we saw her that we would take her, and we promised her that she would never ever need to be scared again. Nellie is the most loving girl. She is great with people, dogs, and very, very good with cats so she is a great choice for a family with kitties!
She needs a family who can spend a lot of time with her. She loves other dogs and would do best in a home with another canine companion to play with. She loves the other dogs she is fostered with -a couple of other Weims, a Lab, and even a Great Pyraneese, and is also fostered with kitties.
Nellie has perfect doggie manners and the other dogs really like her company. She has a perfect mix of playful nature and calmness when it's time to relax.
And she is smart! This girl is the smartest girl ever and just wants to please her person. Nellie is good on a leash and would love a family who can take her for regular walks and trips to the dog park and the dog beach so she can get to know lots of other dogs. Nellie is a little shy at first, but after she gets to know you she loves to give kisses and rolls over on her back for a belly scratch. At night she goes right into the crate and sleeps soundly all night long. She has been crate trained and she finds the crate very comforting. She will also sleep all night long on a human bed if you let her!
Nellie is housetrained and ready to go to her new home! She is spayed and micrcochipped, up to date on shots.

| Tova adopted!
Meet Tova! Tova means "good" in Hebrew and oh my is this girl good!
Tova is an absolutely darling 3 year old female purebred Labrador. She is jet black and so shiny with a more stocky conformation and a nice head.
The cutest thing about Tova is that she has a darling "zipper" down her nose. It's a little shiny cowlick gong straight down the center of her beautiful muzzle and boy is it darling. Everyone who meets her comments on this and how adorable she is.
Tova is a beautifully bred purebred. She is bred very close to the breed standard and her dew claws have been removed so we assume she is an AKC Labrador.
This lovely and sweet girl came to us from a very high kill Riverside County shelter where she was in danger. It was immediately clear what a prize she was and we feel so lucky to have this gem in our care.
As pretty and well bred physically as she is, Tova's personality is the real winner here. Tova has outstanding temperament. She is a submissive, friendly, happy girl who is wonderful with all people and all doggies. She has excellent doggie manners and is very well adjusted. We think she is a dream Lab and we know her new family will too.
At dog park, Tova makes friends easily. She is playful but is really a very calm girl - especially in the house and car.
Tova is fostered with another nice female black Labrador of 2 years and also with a few other doggies. She gets along with everyone and is nothing but pure pleasure to have in her foster home.
Tova is also a very good girl on the leash. She does not pull hard at all and is very obedient. She knows her commands of sit, down and come and really wants to please. It will be easy to teach her more commands like shake and other fun stuff.
Tova likes the ball and retrieving too in true Labrador fashion!
On outings with other dogs, Tova rides beautifully in the back of the car with her friends. At meal time she eats her food next to the other dogs with absolutely no concern.
She is good about giving up toys or balls and it's easy to take anything from her mouth. She is not a mouthy or jumpy girl so will do well with children.
Tova is very social so we would love to place her in a home with other dogs or where she will get to go on lots of fun outings like dog beach or dog park. With a dog this wonderful with people and other animals, it would be a shame not to get her out and about to live life to the fullest!
Tova is a young girl so definitely needs her exercise, but she is a mellow easy going girl too. We would say she is medium energy leaning toward the more calm side.
We do not know how Tova will do with cats so we will not place her with them.
Tova is a very healthy girl who has been spayed, is up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped.

Bryson adopted!
Meet Bryson, a gorgeous and sweet purebred white male Labrador of just 2 years and just about 70 lbs. He has a beautiful face and a stunning white soft coat. He also has the blackest nose and eyeliner making him look even more yummy. This handsome puppy-man is pure sweetness and just full of love and laughter.
Bryson is an energetic young boy who definitely needs his daily exercise- the most fun of which is going to dog park to meet and play with other dogs! Once he has had his exercise, this boy settles nicely in the house and is a sweet and calm boy.
Bryson is outstanding with all other doggies. He has a lovely playful nature and really gets along just beautifully with other dogs. He also loves to play and will play and play with another friendly dog.
Bryson is still a youngster so he is still learning all his manners. But he is doing so well.
Bryson loves to run for the ball. He is a really great retriever! Besides just bringing the ball back, he also likes to just play with the ball or another toy on his own. He will throw the ball for himself over and over and chase it. It's really quite adorable and it makes you smile while you watch this cutie being such a happy boy.
His new home should provide lots and lots of fun toys for this boy!
Bryson loves his food and is very enthusiastic about eating! He also loves his treats and since he is food motivated, it's really easy to teach him stuff and reward him for being a good boy.
Bryson would love to go to a home with another friendly canine companion near to his age and who likes to play. Or he can do very well as an only dog but it would be nice if he could go to dog park to play with other doggies.
Bryson will do fine with children, but maybe not the tiny toddlers as he is a happy wiggler who could knock a toddler down without meaning to.
Bryson is doing really well in foster and a very good boy. He would do great with a nice obedience class where he can polish his skills even further.
He rides beautifully in the car and passes other dogs on leash very nicely. He even seems to do okay with cats, though he is young, is curious, and may chase kitties so only dog experienced kitties would work with this guy.
This beautiful white boy is healthy, up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.

| Blue 2 adopted!
What can we say about this big lug except he is wonderful. Blue is gorgeous 3 year old English purebred male Labrador who's dew claws have been removed. He has a stocky build, a gorgeous block head, and the most darling cowlick down the center of his nose making him seriously the cutest Lab on the planet. He is also extremely mellow and loving!
A nice walk twice a day will make him most happy but if you walk more... than he'll come right along. He walks very nicely on his Martingale collar or a pinch collar. He'll walk next to you when you ask him to with very minimum pulling and then loves to go sniffing at all the scents in the neighborhood when you release him from the heel position. He is learning to sit at the curbs on our walks. He would do most lovely at continued obedience training as he loves to please his people. Blue greets every dog and every thing on his walks like a gentleman. He simply wags his tail and is happy to see everyone (small dogs, large dogs, bikers, runners and even yappy little dogs). With extra training he would be perfect off leash at well!
No doggie gates for this boy. He simply jumps over them. He prefers to have full rein of the house and since he is totally trustworthy... that isn't an issue.
What is particularly loving is how sweet and nice he is with children. He is gentle and loving and is very patient with them. He would most likely be wonderful with all ages of children. At present he is being loved by a 2 year old and an 8 year old. He would make a wonderful family dog! He has not touched any of the children's toys yet. He seems to know what toys are his and which ones are the kids. He would also make someone a wonderful companion if you are by yourself, as Blue loves to be with his people. He follows his foster mom around the house and lays down on the floor in whatever room she is in. Because he loves his people sooo much, he would do best in a home where someone could be home most of the day. He would not do well being left alone for 8 hours or more a day.
Blue loves to sleep on the floor next to the bed where his foster mom sleeps (he needs to sleep in the same room with his people). After letting him out for the night to do his business, he lyas down without a fuss and sleeps soundly the entire night. Sometimes he has doggie dreams and makes adorable happy doggie dream sounds. He doesn't seem to love the round doggie beds in the house and may prefer a flat doggie bed. He enjoys sleeping on a folded up quilt on the floor since his foster mom only has round beds.
Blue was also cat tested and did well with one of the cats he met. He may do well with a dog savvy cat. He is quite the gentleman while eating his food. He likes to take his time and eat slowly. He shows no food aggression and enjoys sharing the Nylabones with his foster doggie siblings - a female Great Dane and a male Bichon. Blue is housetrained and has had no accidents. He will go outside to potty and will bark to let you know he is done and ready to come back inside. He listens very well and really just wants to please you.
If you want a calm, sweet, loving guy who will give you nothing but loving... then Blue is your man. He is up to date on shots, micro-chipped and neutered.

| Pudding adopted!
Meet Pudding, a darling yellow female Labrador of 5 years. This pretty girl is as sweet as she is beautiful and is just the perfect family doggie.
Pudding is just the lovliest girl. She is a calm yet playful sweet heart who is wonderful with all dogs and all people. She loves to be near you and follow you around like any loving Labby, but she settles so nicely in the house and loves to lay at your feet. She loves to have a tennis ball in her mouth at all times. Sometimes she will fall asleep in her bed with the tennis ball still in her mouth and it is adorable.
Pudding really enjoys her toys, balls, and especially her rawhides or bully sticks. She will lay for ever chewing on a bully stick on her bed quite content. She is darling with her ball too. She will throw it for herself and chase it, or simply carry it around.
Pudding seams to know well which toys are hers and which things are not hers to touch. She enjoys choosing toys from the toy basket in her foster home and we assume she never had toys to play with in her previous life which is so sad.
She is wonderful at retrieving a ball and will get it every time. She loves to go to the dog park and run for the ball. She is always wonderful with all other dogs at dog park and makes lots of friends. And because she is a such a good car rider, it's easy to take her anywhere.
Pudding walks nicely on the leash. She passes other dogs beautifully and her top quality is how nicely she interacts with other dogs. She is cat curious though we don't think she would hurt a cat. But she may chase a kitty if given the chance. She does very well with the cat she is fostered with though this kitty is exceptionally dog savvy.
Pudding sleeps nicely through the night and is housebroken. She also rides calmly in the car and likes to look out the window.
Pudding will do great with children though there are times she gets a little too happy and may jump up. She is being taught not to do this and is responding perfectly, however she could knock a toddler down without meaning too. She would love to have children to throw her the ball or to sleep on a bed in their room.
Pudding is a very healthy girl. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. All doggies coming from Taiwan are fully tested for everything and are in outstanding health.

| Moe adopted!
Moe is a beautiful, extremely loving purebred black male Labrador who will make just the best family dog!
Meeting this well behaved, loving, and submissive boy, it's hard to imagine he came to us from a very high kill Los Angeles County Shelter where he was in danger. In fact, just a few days before we got Moe, that shelter euthanized 110 dogs. We feel so blessed and fortunate to have gotten to Moe in time.
Moe is a calm, affectionate, medium energy 3-4 year-old sweetheart. While some dogs are calmed by a romp at the dog park Moe is one who calms the other dogs at the park. He's an easy going boy and consequently other dogs find him approachable as does the cat in his foster home. Moe is great with both dogs AND cats! Moe landed in a foster home with a high-energy two year-old chocolate Lab who has little concept of "down time" but really enjoys Moe being around. Moe gets along great with his foster brother even though Moe is a lower energy dog than his foster brother.
Though Moe is calm and past his puppy craziness he really lights up when you start putting on shoes and especially when you grab the leash. Moe is not much for fetching but loves to follow his foster brother Scout around and shares in the good mood as he fetches ball, frisbee and water toys. He has been unassuming with regard to his foster brother's toys but defers to him, has progressively warmed up and is starting to play. His play is gentle as he avoids and does not reciprocate any nips from Scout, evidence of his gentle nature. Moe could easily serve as a second dog for someone seeking a companion for their current dog. He takes treats gently and would be great with kids. At 92 lbs. he moves with care and control that makes him more toddler-friendly than a more excitable, smaller dog. He loves his walks and his leash experience is evident. He does not tug but likes to start walking in front and typically falls back to your side after several blocks. He is characteristically unfazed when walking by a frantically barking dog behind a fence. Because he passes other dogs on leash so nicely, he is a great candidate for doggie crowded areas where his new owners pass many dogs on leash. All of these traits make Moe a real pleasure to be around. As you can see from his images he has a handsome, alert/attentive look that remains focused on you. He loves to nuzzle his head against you. It's hard to imagine a more affectionate dog. Moe was clearly well cared for in his former life and has a beautiful shiny coat to show for it. He was most likely free-fed but does not exhibit any tendency to over-eat. He could lose a little in girth but that should be a breeze for some new owner committed to walking, given how much he loves his walks. Moe is totally housebroken and seems accustomed to being outdoors because he did not immediately run towards the open doorway, needing to be invited in. Once inside he finds a comfortable place to lay down and displays no destructive behaviors though all dogs in a new home should be supervised closely until they feel more familiar with their new home. Moe is a healthy boy who is up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped and neutered.
