| Kelly adopted!
Meet Kelly, a sweet and very shy, petite Labrador Retriever female of just about one year. This little cuite is quite uniqu and needs a special home to go with her special heart.
Kelly is a petite sized girl with a buttery yellow coat and burnt sugar eyes. She is lovely and sweet and very submissive. Kelly is extremely shy and timid and will need a home ready to be patient with her as she comes out of her shell.
Kelly was found on the streets hungry, dirty, and petrified. She was taken in by good people who worked hard to find her owners even though she seemed like a dog that had been on her own for quite a while. When all efforts were exhausted, her finders contacted us.
Kelly is only about a year or so and a purebred Labrador. She is very loving and absolutely loves other dogs. She enjoys playing with the three other Labradors she is fostered with and is submissive and happy around them. She is fostered with 2 males and 1 other female.
Kelly is also wonderful with her foster dad. It's taken her a bit to warm up as she clearly hasn't been around that many humans in her life and is learning to trust and be close to people.
Kelly is housebroken and sleeps the night through. She is non-destructive and has a nice calm temperament except during play. When she plays she is happy and fun and truly loves romping with the other dogs. She will even cuddle with the other dogs to be close.
Kelly will need a home without little kids and where she can really take the time she needs to break out of her extreme shyness and timidity. She is good on leash and loves other dogs, so we recommend a home with at least one other playful and well balanced dog for her to have as a friend by her side as she goes through her transition.
Kelly's new owners have to be committed to her shyness and working with her without rushing her or pressuring her. She really needs a gentle hand and a lot of love. She's easy to handle but requires time and patience. Her new home shoud be a more low-key environment and not one with tons of comings and goings and noise - at least for now.
Kelly will do beatifully with another happy and friendly canine. She tends to walk slowly on leash but that is because she is shy. In time she will walk happier and faster.
Kelly is not much of a barker but recently learned to bark when people walk by the house outside the fence. Her foster brother taught her that and she is doing a great job alerting when folks come by. What a good girl!
Kelly has so much to offer to the right owners. Someone who is home much of the time is ideal.
She is spayed, up to date on vacccines and microchipped.
If you feel you can be patient, loving, and truly want to help a young beautiful dog in need, this may be the one for you. Kelly is a true rescue and you can be part of it. She is a diamond in the rough, just waiting for you to help her shine.

| Margaret adopted!
Awe what a sweetie! Meet Margaret, an adorable purebred English Labrador female who is so darling and sweet and just pure joy to have around.
This gorgeous girl is a black female lab of about 7 years old. She is a nice size at about 75 pounds a has a beautiful black coat. Margaret came to us from a local shelter. We were shocked to see such a lovely girl stuck in a shelter with no family to claim her. Our volunteer quickly got her out of the shelter and she became our newest addition to the IndiLab family!
Maragaret is a calm and lovely houseguest. She likes to be near her person and likes other dogs too. She is fostered with a male lab and the two get along beautifully. She loves to hang out with him, and really enjoys her walks with him as well.
Margaret is completely housebroken and non destructive when left. She is very well mannered in the home not even getting up on the furniture at all. She loves attention from her person and will sit up in front of you with her "pet me" eyes which you will fall for every time! Margaret is spunky and playful when she has a toy or a ball to chase - or even a soccer ball to toss around to herself - it's really adorable to watch her play all on her own. She enjoys carrying a ball or toy around in her mouth whenever possible - its very cute.
Margaret is lovely to walk on leash - she rarely pulls, so is really a pleasure. She walks right with you. She is more of a mosier than a sprinter and enjoys smelling, smiling, wiggling and looking cute. She would love a couple walks a day and a little play time in the backyard too. She's a perfect mix of calm energy in the home and playful silliness outside.
Margaret will do great as your one and only or with another dog. She really is happy either way. She has not been cat tested so no kitties for her in her new home at this time. Margaret is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Jack Gold adopted!
Meet Jack, a stunningly handsome 5 year old purebred English Cream Golden Retriever. He is a light cream/almost white color and about 85 lbs with a giant blocky head to die for. We do not think they come more beautiful than this yummy boy.
Jack came to us from the only owner he's every known. Unfortunately that owner fell very ill and knew that he was close to passing away. He knew he needed to find a new loving home for Jack before he was gone and that's when Jack joined the Indilab family. He’s been with his current foster family for about 2 months. This easy-going boy loves all people. He is a young boy at age 5 so does need his daily exercise of course, but he settles nicely in the house.
Jack is a super sweet boy who is learning to walk nicely on the leash with a pinch collar. He needs reminders not to pull, and to walk beside his person. Jack gets along beautifully with is foster sister a 14 year old female Lab. He really loves his walks. He follows his foster parents around the house, and is content to lay at their feet while they read or work. He’s also a good snuggler. Jack is good in the car too and enjoys going for car rides. He will simply lay down and enjoy the ride.
Jack is completely housebroken and knows how to use the doggie door as well! He is non-destructive when left. He doesn’t counter-surf, and doesn’t even jump up on couches or beds. He loves sleeping in his dog bed at the foot of the bed of his foster parents. During the day, he can often be found sunning himself in the yard, or enjoying the cool-night air on the patio after sunset. Jack enjoys his dog toys, dog bones, and antlers, although the soft, squeaky toys don't seem to last long with him. He seems to think it's more fun to pull the stuffing out and find the squeaker - silly boy.
Jack is a good boy on the leash and walks perfectly. However he needs to work on passing other dogs on walks and on doggie socialization. Although he is great in the house with his foster-sister, he gets anxious around other dogs he doesn't know. He can react negatively to other dogs at times and so he is best as an only dog or in a home where he won't be going to dog park or dog beach. His foster family has been working with him with the help of a behaviorist/trainer, but Jack will need a family committed to further training if they intend to have him go to dog-parks and to interact with other dogs. If his forever family doesn't frequent dog parks, he's perfect as in. But he will need to continue his leash manners passing other dogs.
Jack does not do well with kitties even though he would look so darn cute with a kitten snuggled up to him. He will chase them and bark so no kitties for Jack.
Jack is healthy, recently-neutered, up to date on vaccines and now ready for his forever home.

| Goliath adopted!
My name is Goliath and I am looking for a furever family that loves a young happy Golden Retriever to run and play with. I was rescued from an inland shelter who found me wandering the streets and I was lucky enough to find the nice people at Indilabrescue to take me out of that terrible place.
I am a tall boy but very lean and with a handsome golden coat. I have beautiful eyes that love to stare into yours while I rest my head in your lap. I know you will love me at first sight. My foster Dad says I can only go if I get a loving family who will know what a prize I am.
Goliath is a stunningly handsome 3-4 year-old purebred Golden Retriever male with the typical soft golden coat. He is a beautiful dog and is trim and could actually gain a few pounds if put on a healthy well-rounded diet. He attracts attention wherever he goes with his looks. He loves everyone and is eager to meet and greet people.
This boy is sweet and mellow and easy going. He is really smart – knows “sit” and “shake” and learns quickly when there is something he should not do. He's a great boy in the house, too and follows his foster Dad everywhere. He rides beautifully in the car - even sitting right next to his other lab brothers. He cannot wait to go for a walk and does not pull on the leash.
Goliath loves to chase a ball in the yard. He eagerly explores and smells all the new scents at the dog park or in the backyard at his foster home. He greets other dogs well and loves to run with them at the dog park.
It's quite hard to imagine such a sweetheart on the streets! This boy is about 3 or 4 years old and will do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. He gets on beautifully with his two energetic brother labs and is friendly with other dogs at the dog park. He would do great on hikes and jogs. He is a high energy boy and loves a walk any time of day.
Goliath is a snuggle bunny who loves his humans and likes to be close. He loves to be petted and will lick your hands and face to give you kisses. He settles down nicely in the house. He will happily sleep all night but really wants to come into your bedroom and be near where you are. He imagines he is a lapdog and loves to cuddle.
Goliath shows almost no interest in cats on walks but we have not really tested him so no kitties for her at this time.
He is a typical large Golden who may knock toddlers down. We think he will do fine with kids over 7 who are respectful of dogs.
Goliath is a healthy boy and is microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and current on flea control.

| Lucy 2 adopted!
Meet Lucy! She is a sweetheart of a black female labbie girl. She is a 5 year old super sweet girl at a perfect weight of about 70 pounds.
Lucy is a very special girl. She is a calm loving girl who wants to be by your side and give you gentle kisses! Her temperament is absolutely wonderful - happy, gentle, calm, and loving. She is just absolutely perfect. This girl would actually make a great therapy dog as she loves every person she meets. She has the trademark labbie temperament - wiggling for anyone who will give her pets!
Lucy found herself at a local shelter - poor girl. Luckily she was rescued by a good samaritan who was worried about her fate. That good Samaritan then called us to help her find the best forever home. Lucy is very good with other dogs big and small. She is fostered with two female Labs and they all get along great. Lucy is not too playful with other dogs, but she does great with them. Lucy will do well as your one and only or as a doggie companion to another friendly dog. She would also do well as your one and only though she will not do well as an only dog left alone for long hours. She isn't used to being completely alone all day without a friend and would really love family she can spend lots of time with.
Lucy loves her walks and is pretty good on the leash though at times she can pull just a bit. She takes correction very well and walks nicely. She passes other dogs nicely too and likes to greet people with her smile and wag. Lucy also enjoys playing fetch and would love a family who will play fetch with her each week.
Lucy is great in the car as well. She will hop right in on her own and just lay down calmly for the ride. She would love to go run errands with you, or join you on carpool runs with the kids.
Lucy settles beautifully in the house and is non destructive. She loves to lie down at your feet or on her bed and is a very calm girl. Overall, she is a low to medium energy girl. She wants nothing more than to be with her person often. Lucy takes treats very gently, and is just such a special, sweet, mellow girl. She knows her commands of sit, down and come. She is a smart girl and gentle as well - she would do well with people of all ages, young kids, adults and the elderly. She is not mouthy nor is she jumpy so she is a lovely girl to take everywhere with you.
Lucy would love a home where her people are home more often than not or where she can go to work with you as she really enjoys being with her person.
This girl is pure pleasure and the epitome of sweetness. She is spayed, healthy, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Maxton adopted!
Meet Maxton, a gentle 8 year old purebred chocolate male Labrador with a shiny coat and soulful eyes.
Maxton is wonderful with all other dogs, all people and children too. Maxton came to us from a family that went through a divorce and sadly no one could keep Maxton. Luckily he found Indilab and we are happy to help this wonderful boy find a new forever home.
Maxton was raised with young toddlers and lived with a small dog too, so he has a proven history of being great around kids and all other dogs both big and small. He's a submissive boy who cares not about being top dog and really just wants to be friends.
This super mellow guy is very easy going. He is a medium to lower energy Lab who is just very easy to have around. He loves his daily walks, but doesn't require anything more. He would love 1-2 walks a day, perhaps a trip to the beach, but he would also be perfectly fine if you skipped his walk for a day or two.
Maxton is completely housebroken and non-destructive when left. He does well around people of all ages, young kids, adults and even the elderly. Maxton walks beautifully on leash - never pulling - and he passes other dogs perfectly! What a joy he is to walk! He is well trained as well - he knows all his commands of sit, down, stay and more. This boy is almost perfection! Maxton has a super shiny gorgeous chocolate coat. He is a larger boy at about 95 pounds, but he is not overweight at all and he is such a gentle boy - he truly is a gentle giant. Maxton takes treats so gently and is so calm and well mannered with everyone he meets. You can take him anywhere with you. Maxton would do well as your one and only or with another doggie companion. He is fostered with another male Labrador and the two get along very well. He is not interested in playing with other dogs, and doesn't seem to need the company of another dog, so really would do well in any family.
Maxton sleeps soundly in his foster parents bedroom all through the night. This sad boy whined for the first 24 hours as he really missed his family, but was consoled by snuggling up close with his foster mom. But Max has now adjusted well and still loves to snuggle up next to his person. He would love a home where he can be with his family more often than not. He could go to work with you if you allow, or just hang out with you around the house if you are home during the day.
Maxton is a prize. His new family will get just the best ever Labrador.
Maxton is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is a healthy boy who now just needs a home and a family to call his own.

| Lampy adopted!
Meet Lampy, a shiny jet black purebred Labrador male who is extremly special. Lampy is 7 years old, wonderfuly sweet and calm, and a the perfect addition to most any family. He's perfect with dogs and cats and is an all around total love bug!
Lampy came to us from an owner who truly loved him but was having some serious difficulties in her life. By the time Lampy was finally turned in to us, both he and his owner were living in her car. It began to become apparent to Lampy's mom, that she just could not get herself on track and keep her boy as well. She wanted what was best for him and so here he is with us.
Lampy was raised about children and for the last few years prior to his mom's difficulty, he lived with several other dogs as well. He is absolutely wonderful with all dogs and all humans and is a real Labrador in this regard. He has absolutely no aggressiveness and has a heart of Labby gold.
Lampy might make a wonderful therapy dog as he is so calm and easy going. He would also make a wonderful family dog who adores his people.
Lampy will do fine with or without other dogs in the home. He is a more mellow kid and doesn't need to play all day but does enjoy canine company. So either will work for him. He will do fine with cats too as he is so easy going. If you have kitties, this boy might be the one.
Lampy has had a recent sad go of it and deserves the best home! He is so sweet and so good.
Lampy is wonderful on leash and passes other dogs nicely. He knows his commands and is completely housebroken and non-destructive in the house. He would love a home where he can spend time cuddling with his owners and where he will be able to have both indoor and outdoor access. He should not be left in a yard all day as we want more for him than that.
Lampy is about as good as a Labrador Retriever can get and embodies those qualities that make the Lab the number one most popular dog in the United States - he is loyal, calm, non-aggressive, wants to please, and loves everyone. Labs are the best and they don't come any better than this boy.
Lampy is up to date on vaccines and neutered. All he needs now is the best forever home. Will it be yours?

| Peanut adopted!
Meet Peanut, a darling yellow purebred Labrador Retriever male who is very special. Peanut is a smaller sized angel with a buttery yellow coat and sweet soulful burnt sugar eyes. He is 7-8 years old. And he is such a love.
Peanut came to us when his owners situation changed. Originally Peanut had a wonderful indoor life with his family. But recently his owners son moved back in with his dogs and one of those dogs continually bullied Peanut. Because the other dog was not easy to find a new home for, it was decided to give up Peanut instead. What a heartbreaking situation.
Peanut has been a little sad since we got him. He is missing his owner. But he perks up and smile and he will adjust just fine in his new home.
Peanut is currently a little confused and afraid in his new foster surroundings so we think his new owner will need to give him a little time to adjust.
He was raised around little children and is wonderful with them. He is such a good and smart boy. He knows basic commands and is well-mannered.
Peanut is a cuddle bug and loves to be pet and have belly rubs. He loves humans and is so very mellow and calm. He's a real lover.
Peanut is still adjusting to his new home so he hasn’t felt comfortable playing much yet, but does show curiosity in tennis balls and some toys. He is really good in the house and is tolerant of louder noises like blow dryers and vacuum cleaners.
Peanut doesn’t counter surf or try to get in the trash either. He is very mellow and behaves in the house when left alone.
Peanut is housebroken, loves walks and does very well walking on a leash and is wonderful with other dogs. His tail wags and he has an upbeat pace.
He is a little shy of strangers but allows them to pet him and warms up quickly. He is a wonderful companion. Peanut is a sweetheart who deserves the very best. Will you give this cutie a forever home?
Peanut is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Milo adopted!
Meet Milo, one of the most darling, chocolate Labrador Retrievers we have ever had the pleasure to know. This purebred 5-6 year old angel is nothing short of perfection and he's available for love if you feel you are worthy!
Milo is a beautifully bred, purebred, English Labrador. He has the perfect English frame and a stunning block head. He has a nice thick otter tail and round kitten paws and really he is quite the handsome fella. Milo has a mismark which is a mark uncommon on purebred Labs. In this case, it is a bit of white on his paw. He also has the breed standard-permissible white diamond on his chest. His coat is darlk and rich and his eyes are soulful and sweet. He is downright delicious.
Milo came to us from a very high kill shelter where he was brought in as a stray. No one came for him which is so sad. Needless to say, he came to us the second we could scoop him up and ever since, we have been falling deeper and deeper in love with him.
Milo is a lower energy "couch potato" Lab. He's mellow as the day is long and he loves to be right where his person is. Milo is a very submissive boy and at first he is a downright scaredy cat! But he quickly warms up and loves you to pieces. He is a good candidate for families with elderly members or little children and kitties because he is so gentle. He is also an excellent therapy dog candidate but will need to work first on losing just a tiny bit of his initial shyness.
Milo loves people - especially older people. Maybe his owner was a senior citizen or perhaps he is just drawn to a certain type of gentle person. He loves all humans and loves to be close and pet. He is a house dog in every say and not a dog to spend days in a yard.
Milo is chubby and chunky and portly and cute. His naturally stocky frame could perhaps use a tad of thinning - say by 10 lbs. Overall though hes quite nice in stature and very huggable!
Milo loves his walks and is the easiest dog to walk ever. Even a child could walk him with supervision.
Milo is housebroken, knows his commands and is non-destructive. He also uses the doggie door to go out and potty. He likes his crate and will sleep through the night, but he doesn't require a crate at all.
We think Milo may be a counter surfer at heart. He seems to like counters and kitchen in general and certainly has the nose for snacks! Labrador homes shold never have food left on counters so this should not be an issue for anyone. However if you are a home who leaves food on counters, Milo won't be for you unless you are willing to change that!
Milo is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
This angel is very special in that he is cat, toddler, and elderly friendly with a capacity to do therapy work. As such, families with cats, toddlers, or elderly residents may be given priority in meeting him per our discretion. Please understand. We do have more male chocolate Labrador coming available soon.

| Cooper Boy adopted!
This is Cooper Boy, the most amazing dog. He is the ideal dog – loves everyone, playful and BEAUTIFUL to boot. Cooper is a purebred yellow AKC Labrador Retriever male of 4 years.
Look at him! He is an astoundingly beautiful boy! He has a beautiful blocky head and a stocky English body! He definitely has the adorable, shorter tank body of the English labs. One look into those adorable eyes, and you’ll be in love! The best part is his incredible good looks are such a small part of his appeal! Cooper is a tad chunky at about 80 pounds right now, but he should be closer to 70 pounds at his ideal weight. He is a playful, fun, energetic boy, so his foster dad has already started him on his bootcamp to lose the extra weight and he's been loving every minute!
Cooper came to us when his family was moving and could no longer keep him. How anyone could give this boy up we just don't understand as he is so fun, goofy, wiggly and everything a great lab should be. Cooper loves to play fetch and will bring back the ball over and over again. He loves to walk and is wonderful on leash. He will pull at times, but corrects well. He is affectionate and sweet but not demanding. He wags his tail all the time. He’s a happy, happy boy now.
Cooper is great with other dogs. He enjoys his foster brother - another male lab - and also has lots of fun at the local dog park. He is great with every dog and every person he meets.
Cooper is good with kids, but he does get jumpy when excited, and a bit mouthy too when playing with his toys or trying to get your attention, so kids over age 7 are probably best for this boy. He is all smiles and sweetness without a mean bone in his body, but his wiggly excitement and jumpiness can be a bit much for younger kids.
Cooper Boy loves belly rubs and affection from his people! He has a super sweet disposition and is a goofy, silly lab that will keep you smiling when you are around him. He is completely housebroken and sleeps soundly through the night with his foster dad and foster labbie brother. What a good boy!
Cooper Boy would love a home with another playful dog or where he can have frequent trips to the dog park, as he has so much fun with other dogs.
He is a medium energy dog, but he’s still young, so he will need good exercise every day - such as a hike, trip to dog park, or even a run with his person. He has really enjoyed his daily runs with his foster dad.
What a fantastic boy Cooper is - one family will be so lucky to add this boy to their family.

| Eden adopted!
Meet Eden, a happy, wiggly, and sweet purebred chocolate female Labrador of just about 2 years.
Eden is a darling chocolate girl with a sweet face and equally sweet disposition. She has a nice playful energy about her and loves to play fetch!
Eden is great with other dogs and would love trips to dog park to a playful doggie companion in her new home. She enjoys playing with other dogs and would love to do so each day. She rides beautifully in the car with other foster labs on outings as well.
Eden is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house. But keep in mind she is a young girl at age 2, so will need ample exercise every day before she settles. She is a lovely size at about 70 pounds and is in great shape, healthy & happy. She has a gorgeous soft, shiny coat too!
Eden is completely housebroken and has even learned to use the doggie door at her foster dad's home. She is fostered with 2 other labs and does great with both of them. She truly does love other dogs and enjoys giving them kisses any chance she gets!
We don't know how Eden will do with cats, so we won't look to place her in a home with cats at this time. Eden can pull a bit on leash, but is easily corrected to walk with her person - a few training reminders from her person will be important. Eden is learning her commands of sit and come, but will need training in her new home. A nice doggie obedience class with her new owner will be great for her and a good bonding experience too.
Eden loves to play fetch and adores swimming even more! This girl loves the water! She can often be seen diving in the pool at her foster home after a ball. She would spend tons of time in your pool if you have one and that will make her such a happy girl!
Eden loves attention and affection from her person. She is great with every woman or girl she meets. She can be a little timid around tall men. But she warms up well, and her foster dad is a tall man who she has come to adore very quickly! She can be jumpy when excited as is typical of many young labs. She is wonderful around children, but keep in mind any playful lab can knock a child down.
Eden's new family will want to supply lots and lots of toys and chewy toys like nylabones, rawhides, and bully sticks to keep her amused. Without the proper toys to chew on and keep a lab busy, they can get into the wrong things around the home.
This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her.
Eden is a healthy girl who is spayed, and up to date on vaccinations.

| Gipper adopted!
Meet Gipper, an adorable purebred male Chocolate Labrador Retriever puppy of just about one year of age. He is a medium sized Labby boy lean, fitm and trim weighing about 77 pounds.
He is a medium energy boy who loves loves toys. He enjoys carrying them and running around the yard. He loves to play fetch and bring it back to you. He's a wonderful retriever and can get plenty of exercise simply with ball tossing. He will do best in a home where he will have fun activities like fetch, hikes, trips to the beach and the dog park.
This boy came to us from a high kill shelter where he was in immediate danger. He is doing beautiful after his neuter and getting over an upper respiratory infection. His foster mom has taken excellent care of him.
Gipper appears to be completely housebroken and crate trained. He settles down nicely and enjoys napping in the yard or on his doggie bed, and he sleeps through the night at his foster parent's house. He is non-destructive which is wonderful for a youngster of his age. Gipper does pull on leash as he has little introduction to leash manners by his previous family. He would be best walked on a pinch collar until he learns to walk with his person. He knows “sit” but will need some work on his other commands. A nice doggie obedience class would be great for this boy
Remember he is still a puppy at only a year. Labradors are puppie for two full years of their life and as such he may LOOK like an adult but still act like a baby. He's quite the darling fellow and he wants to please. We feel that with a bit of training and of course time to grow up, he will be an outstanding family Labrador.
This boy will do great in a home with or without children but certainly older children as he is a baby who can knock a toddler down without meaning to. He is also very, very mouthy like most Lab puppies.
Gipper has not been tested with cats so we would not recommend any kitties at this time. Most Labs are good with cats, but in the absence of a foster kitty to prove his gentleness with them, we cannot place him in a cat home. Gipper is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. All that's needed now is the best fur-ever family.

| Big Boy adopted!
Meet Big Boy, a truly adorable purebred Chocolate Labrador Retriever who is such a sweet soul. Big Boy is about 7 - 8 years of age and is a very calm sweet fella.
Big Boy is a gentle giant. He's a good sized Lab at about 100 lbs. but he is so calm and easy going that it's nothing to have hin at your feet and in the house. In fact he loves to be where you are and is a velcro sweetie.
We think Big Boy was never allowed in the house. When we first got him, he was petrified to come inside. It took a couple of weeks to get him to come in and once he did, he loved it. Now he wants to be inside and with his people all the time. He is such a lover.
Big Boy also never felt a hardwood or tile floow before and he is very avoidant of them. He does best with carpet and area rugs over the kitchen tile and hardwood floors. Over time, he will get used to harder floors on his own.
Big Boy is great with all humans and love people including children. He is a wonderful inside dog who is completely housebroken and doggie door trained and sleeps through the night without a problem. He is non-destructive and likes to simply chill out.
Big Boy is good on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. He loves other dogs and does great with his foster siblngs, a 7-month old female and a 2 year old male. He will do great as an only dog or with another friendly canine companion.
This easy going fella is even good with kitties so cat homes can consider him as well.
Big Boy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is fostered in Rossmore.

| Joe adopted!
Who loves to smile? Joe! Meet Joe, an adorable and super fun purebred chocolate Labrador Retriever. Joe is 2-3 years old and is a medium sized Lab.
This happy cutie is a spunky American Field Labrador and he has lots of happy energy and playfulness about him. He loves to wag and wiggle and be with his buddies. He's really just adorable.
Joe was found on the streets believe it or not. He love to play and loves to retrieve. He will even bring things and drop then on your lab to get you to throw them for him. He is extremely smart and if you tell him to "go get your toy", he will look for it and return with it promptly.
Joe is great with other dogs and cats. He is good with children also and is fostered in a home where little ones are around all the time. He'll do great as an only dog or with another friendly canine companion and he will do find with kitties and children too.
Joe is non-destructive and completely housebroken. He's a good boy in the house and uses the doggie door.
Joe is very, very smart and knows his commands. He loves a challenge and wants to please his person.
Joe will do best with an active owner who will hike and jog with him and will throw the ball or toy for him. He would probably love to go to dog beach and learn to swim out to get his toy.
Joe is a healthy youngster who is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.
Joe is fostered in Rossmore.

| Biscuit Girl adopted!
Biscuits and gravy or Biscuits and scones, however you like your biscuits, this little lady is the sweetest, most darling girl you will ever want to meet.
A very proper girl with the most calm temperament, this 7 year old purebred Labbie female will melt your heart with her loving eyes and kisses. Meet her and you will fall instantly in love and want to make her a forever part of your family.
Biscuit is a bundle of love and when she sees you her tail wags a mile a minute. She is so perfect, that one is compelled to wonder how it is that she was found on the streets of Los Angeles. Thank goodness she was safe when animal control gathered her up. She ended up in a very high kill shelter and it took no thought at all for us to rescue this angel.
Once free from the scary place a shelter can be, Biscuit seemed thrilled to be given her vet visit and a luxurious bath to make her the queen she deserves to be. She hasn't looked back and we know the best is yet to come.
Biscuit is an enthusiastic greeter and loves to go on walks. She is a good girl on the leash and greets other dogs nicely. She is a very happy, very wiggly, very darling girl.
Biscuit is truly beautiful with her creamy, almost white Labby coat. She is a petite purebred English lab with a nice blocky head and otter tail. A tad on the chunky side, Biscuit is pleasingly plump and she will need a good grain free diet and lots of nice walks.
This girl is as sweet and yummy as biscuits and honey and easy going with spurts of energy when she sees a leash. She's great in the house where she easily lies by her foster dad or mom or near her crate which she adorably opens with her nose to go in.
Biscuit is housebroken and has perfect manners. She rides nicely in the car and likes to look out the window to see where she is going.
This calm girl is lower energy in the house and medium energy on walks. She is the perfect mix of energy and temperament!
Biscuit gets on well with her two older brother labs and her puppy sister retriever. She tolerates her puppy sister giving her kisses and bounces with excitement when all her sibling fosters get ready to go for a walk.
Biscuit has not been tested with cats so we would not recommend her with kitties at this time.
We think she will do fine with children and loves all humans.
Biscuit is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and current on flea control.

| Chesterfield adopted!
Meet Chesterfield, a handsome purebred yellow male Labrador of about 6 years old. He is also a nice smaller size for a male lab at about 65 pounds.
This happy boy loves the tennis ball. He enjoys carrying one around and adores playing fetch even more. It's adorable and so Labby! We just love this guy.
He's a wiggler and a wagger in true Labby fashion. He loves everyone and every dog he meets. He even enjoys some playtime with other dogs!
This guy came to us from a high kill shelter where he was in immediate danger. Our volunteer met him and knew we needed to rescue him.
When we met Chesterfield, we fell in immediate love. And so did he. Kisses and wags everywhere and he hopped right in the car ready for his next adventure. He seemed pretty happy to be leaving and took it all in stride. Even all the volunteers at the shelter loved this boy - he was deemed a shelter favorite!
Chesterfield is a fun, active boy. He of course loves retrieving the ball so his new family will need to plan for games of fetch! He would love a couple long walks each day or perhaps even a jog or hike with his family. Chesterfield would also enjoy some time with a playful dog companion or time at dog park to play with some doggie friends.
Chesterfield is completely housebroken and settles well in the home. He enjoys napping on his doggie bed, and also sleeps soundly through the night in his foster parent's bedroom.
Chesterfield is a medium energy boy. He loves to do fun things with his person and playing with other dogs, but he also settles down well - enjoying laying at his foster mom's feet while she working on the computer.
This boy will do great in a home with or without children. He is gentle with all the people he meets and just loves to gets affection from his person! He just loves to sit up next to you to be pet. He would be fine with or without a friendly canine companion and will do best in a home where he will do fun activities like fetch, dog park, hikes or maybe even a trip to the beach.
Chesterfield is a really good boy in the car - he jumps right in and enjoys the ride. His foster mom says he loves to go for car rides. Chesterfield is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines and flea control as well.

| Chloe Girl adopted!
Meet Chloe Girl, the most adorable 7 month old female puppy. Not Chloe is not a Labrador Retriever but she is quite special just the same! She is a gorgeous blue merle purebred Austrailian Shepard and is AKC registered. She is a mini-aussie but is large for a mini so really is more of a standard albeit smaller Aussie girl. She's just adorable.
Chloe is a very pretty, very good little puppy. She has been loved and adored since birth by her owner who is forced to let her go due to his changed and increasingly demanding work schedule.
Chloe currently is forced to spend long days alone while her daddy is at work and he and we know she will be so much happier in a new forever home.
Chloe is wonderful with other dogs and extremely loving. She is an energetic puppy with lots of playfulness and she loves humans. We think she will even do well with children over age 6 as she loves attention. She is housebroken and knows her basic commands and seems to truly wish to please her person.
Because she is still a puppy, Chloe will need some training and lots and lots of exercise and play time. Dog park, dog beach, hikes, walks, ball throwing, and generaly puppy good times must be a part of her life. She will not be her happiest left alone all day in a yard alone as she is just too young. She will do best in a home where someone is around much of the time for now until she is a bit older. She may also do great at doggie daycare where she can socialize and play.
Chloe is really a beautiful girl. Her gorgeous blue eyes, tri-color coat, jet black puppy nose, and sweet expressios make her impossible to pass by without giving kisses and pets. Everyone who meets her is charmed and we can see why.
Chloe is up to date on all vaccines. She must be spayed by her new owner within a month at their expense and we will demand proof of sterilization.
If you feel that your home is ready for a new teenage puppy and you have the time, energy, and dedication all puppies require, Chloe may be for you.

| Miss Mandy adopted!
Meet Mandy, a sweet, adorable female purebred Labrador Retriever with the happiest personality and disposition.
Mandy is a gorgeous yellow Labrador. She's a light cream color, almost white, and she's a wonderful age at about 9 years old. She's perfect for an easy walk but equally as wonderful laying by your side to watch a movie or listen to music. She's just right.
Mandy is a bit on the chunky side at 82 pounds. She should be closer to 70 pounds, so her forever family will need to be committed to limited food and fun walks for this girl so she can get down to her ideal weight. Mandy enjoys her walks and loves chasing the tennis ball even more, so getting her the exercise she needs should be easy and fun. Losing her excess weight is important as the extra weight can be hard on a dog's joints.
At 9 years, we cannot believe Mandy ended up on the hard concrete floor of a high kill shelter, but there she was and we nipped that in the bud! This gorgeous angel came home with us as soon as we found out about her. We don't know anything about her previous life, but we do know that she is one of the happiest girls we've ever met! She smiles all the time and is happy doing just about anything! She even just calmly laid down at the vet for her nail trim - what a good girl!
Mandy loves humans and other dogs. She has met dogs both big and small, young and old, and even a young annoying puppy and Mandy has been fabulous with all of them! She takes everything in stride and just loves life! She is really enjoying her foster home where she is fostered with another female lab and she sure does love the friendship and company! She's getting spoiled by her foster mom and dad with sunshine and soft beds everywhere, toys, time to chase the tennis ball and walks around the neighborhood. Mandy wiggles and wags and smiles wherever she goes bringing so much happiness to anyone who meets her! She is really the kind of dog you can take anywhere with you. She rides well in the car too. She also walks so well on leash, barely pulling at all, so she really is such a joy to walk!
Mandy sits in command and comes when called! She also loves to sit up in front of you to receive lots of pets and affection. And boy does she deserve it - the more love she can get, the better!
Mandy is a wonderful, typical Labrador. She has the temperament and the heart and even the good looks. She will do beautifully in a home looking for an easy dog who likes to hang out, do fun shorter walks, and just be a best buddy. She would do fine as your one and only or with another doggie companion.
Mandy is completely housebroken. She is non-destructive when left and settles very well in the home. She also sleeps soundly throughout the night on a dog bed in her foster parent's bedroom. She likes to follow you around and be close to where you are.
Mandy will do fine with children, but keep in mind any large breed dog can knock a young child down. We don't know how Mandy will do around cats, so we won't look to place her in a home with cats at this time.
Mandy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready for her forever home.

| Coby Cobain adopted!
Meet Coby Cobain - we like to call him Coby for short. This boy is a 1 year old petite chocolate male Lab. He is only 55 pounds at just over a year old, so we don't expect him to be any larger than 65 pounds when full grown. Coby came to us when his owner was moving and could no longer keep him. His owner was actually on her way to the shelter when our volunteer met them and stepped in to ensure this boy didn't end up on a cold shelter floor. Coby is a typical Lab puppy. He is playful and loves his doggie toys - mostly enjoying the soft toys that make noise and of course he loves to play fetch too! He would love a family that will play ball with him in the yard and even take him to dog park or doggie daycare for playtime with other dogs. Coby is great with all other dogs and cats too! In fact, he is even a little fearful of the dog savvy cats in his foster home. Coby is playful with other young playful dogs, but is also great around the senior Labs he has spent time with. We believe Coby would do well as your one and only or with another doggie companion of any age or size. Coby is completely housebroken and settles well in the house after his exercise. He is a young boy, so he can't be expected to settle until he has had the good exercise every young lab needs. Coby does pull on leash, so he will need some leash training and is best walked with a pinch collar until he learns to walk with his person, not ahead. He knows "sit" but will need some work on his other commands. A nice doggie obedience class would be great for this boy. Coby is an all around happy boy who loves affection and playtime with his people. He is a medium energy boy, but is a puppy, so will need good exercise every day like a trip to dog park, a hike, and of course time to play fetch in the yard which he adores! Coby is also a great car rider, just laying down to enjoy the ride - what a good boy! Coby is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

| Martin adopted!
Meet Martin, an absolutely gorgous 3 year old English male Labrador Retriever. Martin is a very handsome nicely bred boy with gorgous conformation, a perfect offer tail, blocky head, and lovely temperament.
Martin is a dudly meaning he has a liver nose and eyeliner rather than black and he is one truly beautifuly boy. Just look at him!
Martin's owners died and left him to elderly relatives who did not want a dog. Luckily friends found hi and brought him to us!
This boy is extremely mellow and loving. He is a true people dog and loves to be close to his person. He has a lower typical English energy which requires a walk each day but not tons of exercise. He is a good boy in the car as well and would love to be a dog that can go to work with his person or go on errands with his best buddy. He just likes being close.
Martin knows his basic commands of sit, stay, and come. He is learning his other commands and is a dog who likes to please. He is housebroken and leash trained as well and is a good boy on the leash - not a major puller.
Martin is wonderful with people and will go fine with kids too. He is also pretty good with little dogs. We don't know how he would do with cats. He will be best as an only dog or possibly with a female easy going mate.
Martin is a prize. He's really just a great dog with the looks and temperament we all love.
Martin has recently beeb neutered, up to date on vaccines and given our vet's seel of approval!

| Apollo and Lola adopted!
Meet Lola & Apollo! These two purebred AKC chocolate Labradors are gorgeous, happy, and healthy and looking for a new home together. Lola is a female and is 8 years old and Apollo is a male and is 7 years old. Lola & Apollo have been together their entire life, are bonded and love being together. They came from a loving home where the adults recently went through a divorce and as a single parent, neither owner had the time to devote to these beautiful babies anymore. We happily welcomed these two into our Indilab family as they are perfect, happy, wiggly labs! Lola is a chunky English Lab who is short and stalky. She loves toys and can often be found carrying 1, 2 or even 3 toys in her mouth at a time. Silly girl. Apollo is a darker chocolate color and a bit leaner. He loves to play fetch and enjoying the dog bones in his foster home. And the two can often be found playing tug of war with their favorite toys. They play together, sleep on the same bed together, and truly adore being together. These two are sweet, wiggly, happy and perfect in every way! They are both completely housebroken and non-destructive when left. Both dogs love every person they meet and are great around all other dogs too! They spent their first 7 years of their life in a home with kids, so they are also very comfortable around children and would be great around kids or grandkids. Apollo has been known to like small kid's toys like leggos and kids socks a bit too much - he may even swallow them. Hence a home with kids who are a bit older and know to put away their clothes and toys would be best for these two Labs. If you are considering one lovely, easy mellow lab, why not get two! These two are so easy to have in your home together! They are mellow, easy going, happy go lucky Labs. Walking both dogs is really pretty easy. They both pull just a bit when first out on a walk, but will settle in well walking at your side rather quickly. They pass other dogs with ease and are a pleasure to walk together. Both dogs love water and would enjoy trips to the beach or even a dip in a pool. They have been enjoying the pool at their foster mom's home especially in this warm weather. They both ride perfectly in the car together, just laying down quietly and enjoying the ride. Apollo hops into the car with ease, while Lola may need a little boost to get in. They would certainly enjoy riding along with you wherever you go. Both Lola and Apollo have a clean bill of health from their vet, they are spayed & neutered, up to date on vaccinations and ready to find a new family to call home.

Sally is wonderful with other dogs and all humans. She's a mellow girl and so calm in the house. She is housebroken and non-destructive and just a really good girl.
Sally perks up and gets happy and frisky and fun at the dog park and on walks where she loves to wag and wiggle and show her cuteness. She smiles at everyone and people love to greet her and say hello. She loves meeting other dogs and is just the friendliest sweetheart. | Angel adopted!
Awe what a sweetie! Meet Angel, an adorable purebred English Labrador female who is so darling and sweet and just pure joy to have around.
This gorgeous girl is a purebred yellow Lab - so light cream in color, she is really snow white! Just beautiful. She is about 70 pounds and the perfect size. She is a stocky girl with one of the nicest otter tails God ever made. Angel came to us from the only family she's ever known. Her doggie companion passed away a few months ago and her family is now moving to a location where they simply could not take her. The good news is that we are thrilled to have her join the IndiLab family!
Angel is about 9 years young. She is as calm as they come and a lovely houseguest. She likes to be near her person and loves other dogs. She is great with all other dogs both big and small - having lived with a Labrador and a Chihuahua during her life. She gets on beautifully with all dogs and may even be seen occasionally engaging in play and friskiness. Angel is very healthy! She had blood work done and our vet gave her a clean bill of health - she truly is a healthy, young senior girl.
Angel has nice house manners and is very calm and mellow in the home. She loves her new doggie beds in her foster home, and would love a dog bed to call her very own in her forever home. Angel is not quite 100% on her housebreaking. She is learning quickly in her foster home, but will need some additional reminders and attention in her new home to become perfect.
Angel is perfect on leash, walking right with you. She may pull a bit when she sees another dog as she wants to say hello, but she is really a dream to walk. She is more of a mosier than a sprinter and enjoys smelling, smiling, wiggling and looking cute. She could do with 2 20-minute walks a day or a trip to dog park. She's super easy.
We did not notice, nor are their any symptoms of arthritis in this girl. She walks great and seems quite limber. She is just more of a lower energy girl at her age.
Angel is also great with every person she meets! Kids, adults, the elderly - she just loves everyone! You can take Angel with you truly anywhere! She will sit up right in front of you for attention and pets. She may even give you a few kisses back in return!
Angel is healthy, spayed, and up to date on vaccines.

| Daisy Rae adopted!
Meet Daisy Rae, the sweetest, most loving female lab who loves to play fetch! This 3 year old yellow lab is an English lab and is a tad bit chunky. She weighs about 85 now, but should be closer to 75-80 when she is at her ideal weight. Daisy truly is a lovely combination of playful energy and nice indoor mellowness.
She does need her daily exercise as she is still a young Lab at age 3, but she is the perfect mix of fun and easy. She loves to play fetch and will run after the ball and bring it back to you, and drops it nicely at your feet. Although she loves to play fetch, she is not obsessive about it.
Daisy came to us from a family with 3 dogs and due to their family situation and a special needs child, they could no longer care for their dogs. Poor Daisy had spent the last year of her life in the family backyard with very little opportunity to spend time in the house with the family.
Daisy is sweet, darling, goofy and everything we look for in a well bred lab! She is a mellow to medium energy girl who would love a couple walks a day and a chance to play fetch with you in the yard. She settles right down in the house and is a well mannered girl. In fact, she hasn't gotten on any furniture and she sleeps soundly on the floor next to her foster parent's bed.
Daisy is still learning to walk on leash - she can pull at first and loves smelling everything in her path - she's just so excited to be out on a walk! With a little training and a few reminders she can be a great walking partner... she just needs someone who is willing to help her learn.
Daisy settles beautifully in the house after she has had her exercise. She likes to be close to you and nap at your feet. She is almost 100% housebroken and not destructive, but as any dog, she should be watched at first in her new home. She also knows how to use a doggie door!
Daisy is good with all other dogs. She has met many other dogs both on and off leash, and she does beautifully with all of them. She would do great as an only dog or with another doggie companion. She is currently fostered as an only dog and does very well. If she is the only dog, she will probably do best in a home where you are not gone long hours at work every day.
Daisy is really enjoying her time in foster, she is discovering doggie toys and bones and really enjoys playing fetch in the yard with her foster mom & dad!
Daisy Rae will do well with children though keep in mind, any playful lab can knock a young child down. Daisy is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

| Patches Puppy adopted!
Meet Patches Puppy, the cutest little dreamboat of a Labby girl! Look at the cuteness!
Patches Puppy is a female puppy who's mommy is a purebred Springer Spaniel and her daddy is a purebred Labrador. She is the best of both with her petite size and adorable patches!
Patches Puppy is 3.5 months old and has had her first 2 sets of puppy shots already. This little bundle will need her 3rd set of puppy shots in 2 weeks.
Right now our little love bug weighs only 10 pounds! We know she will likely be 40 pounds when she is full grown due to the smaller size of her papa and the lovely Springer Spaniel size of her mommy!
This little angel is looking for the best home. Her sweet temperament, calmer disposition, and lovely mix of two very gentle and well know breeds makes her an ideal companion dog.
We are looking for only the best of the best! Puppy homes must have at least one adult home most of the time for the first couple of months. Patches puppy will need a committed home where she will get her puppy training classes (once she is fully immunized) and where her new owners will provide her patience, gentle guidance, and lots of chew appropriate toys.
No small children in the home please! It is hard enough caring for little humans and adding a little canine to the mix means someone is not getting all the attention they need.
If you have been approved to adopt, have the time and commitment she deserves, and you feel that you can put up with puppy shenanigans, let us know!
A spay deposit will be required at adoption and this little one MUST be brough back for her spay once she is old enough to have one safely done.

| Danton adopted!
Meet Danton! Oh this guy is a real find! He is a happy, sweet, gorgeous chocolate male Lab of 4 years.
Danton is a perfect medium Labrador size at 72 pounds with a gorgeous blocky head and sweet eyes. His feet look like snowshoes. And this guy is a gentle bear cub of a dog. He's lovely, mild mannered, and calm, but with just the right amount of playfulness.
Danton does his best with females and at times can be a little timid around men. If he goes to a family with men, they will need to be patient with Danton as he warms up and help him bond by walking him and feeding him so he learns to trust more. He has such a good heart and really loves everyone but we think somewhere along the line, a man might have scared him. Danton came to us from a local shelter. When we met him, we knew he needed to be saved. He is a lovable boy who has a lovely temperament - the kind of Lab you adore!! And exactly the kind of Labrador we love to save. He is a real prize. Danton is a mostly mellow boy on the calmer side who loves to hang out with his person and does great with all other dogs. He would make a great companion to another doggie, or would do well as your one and only boy. He is fostered as an only dog and doing great.
Danton, though pretty mellow, has medium energy and loves his walks! He is pretty good on the leash too, however he does pull at times like most Labs. In addition to his walks, he loves dog park and really just going anywhere with you. He is a great car rider and would adore going places with you such as dog beach or perhaps a hike now and again.
Danton is completely housebroken and well trained! He knows sit, down, shake, and come. He will also sit right up in front of you to enjoy affection from his person. His foster mom says he's a great foot warmer or doggie blanket on these colder days. Danton is not jumpy or mouthy and would likely do well with kids, although we recommend kids over age 6 for all of our rescued Labs. We don't know how he does around kitties, so no cats for this boy in his new home. Danton is a perfect teddy bear of a boy and would love nothing more than a forever home for the holidays. Danton is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Hickory adopted!
Meet Hickory, a show quality AKC registered English female from champion Labrador lines who just turned 8 years. Hickory hails from an outstanding chocolate show breeding program and was mommy to some gorgeous bench bred Labrador champions.
Hickory formerly worked as a certified service dog for a human with PTSD and is retired. She remained with her human while waiting for a younger dog to come available. Were it not for Hickory's right to truly retire and just be a beloved pet, she would have continued on as a service dog, but at 8 years of age and showing signs of some arthritis, it wasn’t fair or right to keep her as a companion even as a retired companion as her person was in an area that can get very, very cold and Hickory does best in warmer weather.
Hickory is bombproof with humans and other animals. She is quite loving and gentle. However her one quirk is that she will initially bark at new-comers and she has some strong bark! Her bark is not about anything other than wanting to say hello. That said, there is nothing behind her bark but wiggles. She is not a barker and won't bark in your yard or home when you are gone. She only barks when she meets newbies coming toward you or inside your home and then that stops and she is gentle as can be. Off leash she has barked and gone up to people to be kissed and pet. She is a very good gentle dog and has a wonderful known history.
Hickory loves people. All people. She’s a natural healer with her wiggles and joy as she makes you smile carrying her soft bear or duck around.
If you want to play, she’s ready. Snuggle? That’s her superpower. Walk off leash through the stream or on trail? She’s by your side smiling. And when you need to cry, no need to call. She’s already in front of you looking up and ready to hold you tight in her chocolate soft sweet comfort.
In short, this girl is Heaven sent and a blessing, plus her bark when someone comes to the door is a great way to feel safe. (even though there's nothing behind it.)
Hickory is line bred on a well known kennel. She shows the same structure And confirmation as the other dogs in her extended family. Because she is a show or bench lab, she is big boned, blockheaded, and of sturdy stature. Her weight of 82 pounds is excellent and exactly where she needs to be. Hickory is what a labrador should look like. Keep in mind she has had several litters and so she is a little soggy but she will snap back in time. We think it is adorable.
Because she is eight years old, she has a bit of arthritis in her elbows. This is easily controlled with an inexpensive drug called meloxicam which can be picked up at any local pharmacy including target and Walmart. Currently she is on a different and said called Rimadyl. She does beautifully on Rimadyl and we would love her to stay on it, however it is more expensive than the formerly mention medication.
It’s very important that she maintain her daily exercise ritual of about 2 miles of low impact walking or even swimming.
Hickory loves children and is very tolerant of them even when they are crying or yelling or playing loudly. She loves toys and could easily mistake a child’s soft toy for one of her own. Hickory is housebroken and knows her basic commands. However she is stubborn and on days of inclement weather or fireworks, she can be a little afraid and it can be difficult To get her to go outside to potty. there have been 2-3 times when she has had a potty mistake. Those times were always during fireworks or rain storms.
Hicklory loves being close and Especially enjoys being up on the couch. If you are OK with that and put down a soft blanket she will love you forever. However she has been corrected in her foster home and is becoming very good at sleeping on a doggy bed and staying off of the furniture.
She does not attempt to sleep on her humans bed and never jumps up there. She is crate trained and does very well in the crate. She sleeps in her crate every night and she loves it. She will do fine with or without a crate but since she likes having one you might as well leave one with the door open to see if she prefers it.
Hickory is an excellent swimmer and likes to swim in the deepest water. She would love a pool. And if you don’t have a pool she would love you to take her to one now and then. She hasn’t been to the beach so we do not know how she will do in the waves but because the San can be high impact and cause soft tissue injuries you would want to start her out slowly at dog beach. Hickory is in excellent health and has had a recent fall blood screening, thyroid test, Urinalysis, heart worm test and is current on heartworm and flea and tick medication. She has also been fully warmed.
Hickory was recently spayed and is doing well.
Being chocolate, she gets hot in the sun very quickly so she should not be considered as an out door dog for any length of time during the summer months. What’s more, this is a dog who wants to be with her person all the time and is truly an indoor companion.
She would love to be a therapy dog and go with you to nursing homes or schools if you would like.
Hickory is a beautiful dog who has been well loved her whole life and it shows. We are only considering the very best of homes for her and expect a lot of competition.

| Oria adopted!
Meet beautiful Oria, a young 2 year old gorgeous purebred female Golden Retriever. Oria is a petite girl at about 55 pounds.
This young girl is still a youngster at only 2 years. She has a friendly happy disposition and really loves to play and walk and especially loves to go on jogs and walks. She is sweet as sugar and loves to be out and about showing how pretty she is!
Oria could do with some training - typical for a young Retriever. She has a tendency to jump when she is excited and she will pull on a leash as she loves to get going on walks. These are easy fixes through routine and reminders. A nice obedience class would be perfect for her after she is settled into her new home.
This extremely healthy, young Retriever will need lots of daily exercise. She should do a good jog or long walk everyday and would love hikes or jogs on the weekends. She is perfect for an active family or person and a great buddy.
Oria settles beautifully in the house once she has had her exercise. She is completely housebroken. She does still have some puppylike behaviors, so her daily exercise will be important for her to show her good manners in the home. She loves the ball and enjoys playing fetch, so this is a fun way to exercise her.
Oria is a real show stopper in the looks department. Most of the Indi volunteers were just floored by her beauty. She really is the kind of dog everyone comments on. What a gorgeous well bred Golden she is.
Oria is good with other dogs and is even learning to play with them a bit. She passes other dogs with ease on leash and would even enjoy trips to dog park for some play time. She has been fostered with a male Lab and the two of them play nicely. Oria is learning to share her toys and food with her foster brother, but she doesn't really love sharing with him, so she might be happiest as an only dog where she won't have to share her toys with another dog.
Oria seems to like kids, but because she is young and active, she will be too much for young kids. She is also a bit mouthy, so kids over age 10 are likely best for her. Oria loves attention and loves to be groomed too! She enjoys having her foster mom brush her daily! She is a very sweet girl who is so happy to have the attention she so deserves.
Oria will do his best with a family committed to exercise with her every day and where someone loves a very loving dog who loves to be by your side and lay at your feet.
We do not know how Oria would do with kitties so we will not consider her for homes with cats at this time.
Oria is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Sequoia adopted!
Meet Sequoia, the cutest chocolate lab around. This beautiful girl has been the sweetest foster dog and she is ready for her forever home.
Sequoia is a petite purebred Labrador of just 2-3 years. She is low key, easy going, young, healthy, and adorable. Best of all is her smaller perfect size!
Sequoia comes to us from a shelter where she was picked up as a stray. We quickly scooped this cutie up and boy are we glad we did. She has been such a good girl for her foster family and we know she is going to be a fabulous addition to her forever family.
Since they day she came into her foster home she has been very polite. She has not had any accidents and she has not chewed anything up. She uses the doggie door to let herself out when needed and she sleeps quietly all night long.
She is petite and just 55 lbs but Sequoia does need to gain a little weight. With some good, grain free food that should be no problem. Good food (with maybe a little coconut oil added) will also help her with her dry skin. Dogs who have formerly not been treasured tend to have dry coats and skin due to cheap, low-quality food. No need for this beauty queen to deal with that any longer!
Sequoia needs a little training to learn how to walk on a leash. It is obvious that her previous owners never took her for a walk. She is so curious about everything that she bounces around. She even tries to jump on her own shadow. We think she was a stray because she likely escaped to take herself for the walk her owners never gave her. How sad. At any rate, her new owners will need to work on leash skills and provide her gentle direction to be perfect on the leash.
Sweet Sequoia is currently fostered with three other labs. She gets along with them all. She also gets along well with her human foster kids. She has enjoyed lying around with the teenage daughter as she does her homework.
Sequoia will probably do her best with another friendly easy going dog. We don't know about cats, so no kitties for this angel.
Sequoia has been spayed, micro-chipped and is up to date on her shots. She now just needs a home with a family who is ready to snuggle with her during movie nights, train her to walk correctly on the leash and love her for the rest of her life!

| Jesco adopted!
Meet Jesco, a beautiful, purebred male Labrador puppy of over a year and likely under 2 years. This adorable puppy man is the cutest thing and such a joy. He's looking for a committed home dedicated to owning a young male Lab who will need all the things a youngster must have to be a solid canine citizen.
Our volunteer found Jesco at a local shelter after he was picked up as a stray. Jesco was immediately friendly and wigly and we knew we could help him out with a fabulous home.
This youngster will need some nice daily exercise as does every younger Labby. He will need some training and socialization as well. He has a tendency to jump when he is excited and wants to say hi. He will pull on the leash at the beginning of his walk but settles in perfectly in a bit. These are easy fixes through routine and reminders. A fun obedience class would be the perfect way for him to bond with his new family.
Jesco is a medium energy lab that settles beautifully in the house once he has had his exercise. Jesco is 100% housebroken and stays off furniture. He prefers lying on his dog bed with a bone to chew. He also loves his toys, carries his stuffed baby with him all around the house making the cutest faces.
Jesco is a very affectionate boy. He loves everyone he meets. If you let him he would lay across your lab for belly rubs. Jesco hasn’t had much training but he does know sit. He wants to please, and is food motivated, making training easy and fun.
Jesco loves to play in the yard with his person. He will fetch the ball but hasn’t quite mastered the drop. If tug is your game he likes that too. He is easily amused by a variety of doggie toys.
Jesco is slightly full of himself having just been neutered, young and not having much real world experience. He could benefit from more socialization. From what we can tell, he was purchased from a breeder as a little guy and then never introduced to other dogs. He likes other dogs but is akward and can get into tiffs during meal time or if the other dogs don't wish to put up with his puppyness and lack of social skills. He will do best as your one and only cutie as you work on some obedience and training.
What a gorgeous purbred Labrador with the most affectionate personality and antics. He is a true cuddle bug who will steel your heart. With a bit of training and socialization, this will be a steller pup!
He has not been cat tested so we will not place him with kitties and due to his need for some training we prefer no young children at this time (even though we think he would love kids in the future.)

| Alvin adopted!
Meet Alvin, the gentlest Labrador in Southern California. He is kind and loving and is good with every person and animal he meets.
This 3-4 year old purebred Labrador comes to us from a shelter where he was found as a stray. Little did he know that after a scary ride in the worker’s truck and a cold and miserable shelter visit, he would be rescued and readied for his forever home. We are so excited to find this sweet boy because he really is a dream.
This handsome guy is a tad "tubby" weighing in at about 85 pounds. He really needs to drop a few pounds and his foster mom has talked to him about making losing weight a resolution for the New Year. In order to start his new healthy routine, he would love to go on daily walks, trips to the park, or even a trip to dog beach. A grain free diet will also help him to successfully attain his goal. Now that he is out of whatever environment made him a chunky monkey, dropping weight will happen easily and fast.
Alvin has been the perfect gentleman in the house. He has never had an accident and he uses the doggie door to come and go as he needs. He is non destructive when left and he does not counter surf. What a perfect gentleman he is!
This great guy is just a bit shy sometimes with loud noises and new experiences but he's sweet ad not at all sketchy, just submissive. He has adjusted so well to his foster family's home where there are dogs both big and small, cats (who Alvin just adores), chickens, horses and so much more! Alvin is so good with the cats in his foster home - snuggling with them often, that he is an excellent choice for a family with kitties.
Alvin loves all people. He's a true Labby that way. And even better, he also loves other dogs both big and small. In fact, he adores his doggie company so much that we think Alvin would be happiest in a home with another dog for company. Alvin is really an easy going fella who is mellow to medium energy.
Alvin is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Now, he needs a family to make his own for the New Year. Are you ready to make this lovely guy yours?

| Hamlet adopted!
My name is Hamlet and the question isn't To be, or not to be?” but rather “To adopt or not to adopt me?” Once you meet me, there will be no question because I am that special!
Meet Hamlet, an extremely mellow, easy-going English bench bred purebred Labrador Retriever. this chocolate dreamboat is the best. His calm personality and chunky adorableness will melt your heart!
Hamlet is a handsome 5 year old boy with a big block head, English conformation and a nice otter tail. He is a perfect sized male who is currently just a tad on the chunky side. He will need to shed a few pounds through a good grain free diet and lots of easy going walks where the neighbors can meet him and give him kisses. As he loses weight, this chubster should be taking a good glucosamine supplement. Labradors don't do well with excess weight and their joints could do with a little glucosamine just like ours!
Hamlet is great with all other dogs and is very friendly. He is a candidate for the canine good citizen test and therapy work as he is a non-reactive, gentle boy. When he sees a leash, Hamlet wags and wiggles and smiles. He loves his cruises about the neighborhood and enjoys being pet. He's perfect on the leash and doesn't pull at all.
Hamlet is wonderful in the house with excellent doggie manners. He is completely housebroken. He lies by his foster dad or mom or down near his brother foster labs. He knows commands of sit and stay and will shake paws. He would like to be a lap dog if you let him!
Hamlet likes to ride in the car and lies down after a few minutes looking to see where we are going.
Hamlet shows interest in a ball in the yard or house, picking it up and then bringing it right back to his foster dad and dropping it. He eagerly explores and smells all the new scents on his walks and in the backyard at his foster home. He's a happy well-adjusted friend.
This boy gets on beautifully with his two older brother labs and all humans he has met. He met a cat at the vet office and ignored it so we think he will do fine with cats although it is the responsibility of his new owner to provide the necessary time and guidelines all feline/canine relationships require and there will be no adoption refund if an adopters cat doesn't get on with Hamlet. Potential adopters with dog-savvy cats will be considered.
Hamlet should do well with children over age 4.

| Willow Puppy adopted!
Meet Willow Puppy!! Look at this adorable Labbie purebred puppy! Isn’t she the sweetest thing? This beautiful girl is a nicely bred female black lab. She is a dream puppy!
Willow came to us from her owner who purchased her as a puppy from an good breeder and was so sad to discover that she was allergic. She tried to keep her, but after a couple months and a confirmed diagnosis of her allergies to her own dog, realized she needed to rehome Willow and reached out to us to help.
Willow is 4 months, 3 weeks of age she is still just a baby. She has the dearest temperament, affectionate yet independent, great with other dogs, and all people she meets.
She gets along great with her older foster brothers and loves playing with her doggie toys such as the ball, rope toys and more.
Willow is completely housebroken and a smart girl. Of course she is a Lab puppy, so she will definitely chew the wrong things and will need her family to redirect her to ensure she learns what things are hers and which ones are not.
Willow has had 2 sets of shots and is now ready for her 3rd set and then she can go out in public and enjoy trips to dog park, and enjoy a doggie obedience class with her new family.
In order to adopt a puppy this young, a family member must be home for at least the next few months. Puppies this young thrive on attention, and can get very bad habits ingrained for life (separation anxiety, escape artistry) if they are not given enough interaction in these tender first months.
It is best for puppies this age to have a crate or exercise pen ready when they come home. This way they won’t get in trouble when you can’t watch them or have other things that need to get done.
There will be a spay deposit taken on this puppy as she is too young for us to spay safely. We will return the deposit to his family as soon as they demonstrate that she has been spayed. She should be spayed between 9 months-1 year of age.

| Irish adopted!
Meet Irish! What a beautiful, gentle soul. This male yellow English lab is about 8-9 years old and is as sweet as they come! He has a beautiful light yellow coat and the eyes of a wise soul. Poor Irish was left at a high kill shelter where he had no hope of being adopted. Our volunteer saw him, and as soon as she met him, knew that he did not belong on a cold shelter floor and off he came to join our IndiLab family! Irish is a lovely, mature, easy going, low maintenance boy! He is completely housebroken and has lovely house manners as well. He is very gentle around the home and with all the people he meets! There isn't a dog or person he meets that he doesn't like. He has the trademark Lab smile and happiness all the time. Irish is fostered with 2 large Labradors and he does fabulous with them! In fact, he is fabulous with every dog he meets both big and small! He would make a great doggie companion to any dog, male or female, big or small. He is just an easy going boy who is happy to have the company of his person or another dog. Irish loves his people and would love nothing more than a family he can spend the holidays with and all his days to come after! He is the kind of dog you can take anywhere with you - to the store, to work, to a friend's home, he is a good boy wherever he goes. Irish is a low energy boy - needing just a walk or two a day and he is happy. Even if you happen to skip a day of walking, this boy will be just fine. He is non-destructive when left and also sleeps soundly through the night on a doggie bed in his foster parent's bedroom. Irish is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Hercules adopted!
Meet Hercules! Oh boy is the guy adorable! He is a 4-5 year old yellow English Lab with gorgeous eyes and eyeliner to match - he is stunning! Hercules came to us from an owner who could no longer keep him. He was kept in a backyard with another dog and the owner was gone from home a lot and felt Hercules deserved a better home - we agreed! This boy is as darling as can be. He is completely housebroken and very well mannered in the home. He's not jumpy or mouthy and is a very gentle boy. Hercules walks pretty well on leash, and if you use a pinch collar on him, he is a breeze to walk with 1 finger! He is fostered with another male lab and does fabulous with him. In fact he is fabulous with every dog he meets both big and small. He does great with little Chihuahuas, large energetic Labs and mellow easy going dogs of all sizes! Hercules is a little shy at first, but warms up well. He would do best in a home where his family will give him a little time to warm up. He gives so much love back to you when he warms up - it is worth the wait! He would also be happiest in a home with another dog as he has spent his life with another dog. Hercules is a low to medium energy boy. He loves his walks and would even enjoy a trip to dog park or a short hike now and then. But mostly he enjoys being with his person and would love a home where he can spend lots of time with his family. This boy has a birthmark that makes him even more adorable. He has a spot on his head where his skull is sunken in a bit. This is likely from an old injury as a puppy or perhaps he was born this way. The good news is this is really just cosmetic - it does not cause him any pain, nor is there anything medically that needs to be done for him. We think it makes his face look more squishy and darling! If you are looking for a sweet, loving, mellow yellow boy - this is him! Hercules is neutered, up to date on vaccines, current on flea control and microchipped.

| Priscilla adopted!
Meet Priscilla, an adorable 2 year old petite Labby girl.
This little yellow sweetheart came to us from a very high kill Los Angeles County shelter where she was brought in as a stray. When we first met her, we just knew we had to get her safely out and into a foster home.
Priscilla is an easy going smaller girl. She is under 50 lbs and is a light yellow creamy colored Labby girl with a sweet disposition. She is a very pretty little thing and just the right size for someone who wants a "little" Labrador!
She is housebroken and seems to know basic commands. She is good in the house, car, and very easy to walk on the leash.
Priscilla will do great in a home as an only dog with all the attention or with a submissive male companion. She is a cuddler and lover and lover pets, and snuggles.
We think she will do well with older children who want a sweet doggie to love.
Priscilla is untested with cats so no kitties for her at this time.
Priscilla is a medium energy calmer girl who will do well with a leash walk every day. She enjoys car rides and will love sitting in the back while you chauffer her about town. She'll love running errands with you and looking cute at a cafe.
We think Priscilla will be darling in a Christmas or Hannukah scarf! Everyone will stop to say 'hello!"
Priscilla is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and current on flea control.

| Theodore adopted!
Meet Theodore, the gentlest Labrador in Southern California. He is kind and loving and he has asked Santa for a real loving family for the holidays.
This handsome guy is a tad "tubby" weighing in at about 81 pounds.
Theodore has been the perfect gentleman in the house. He has never had an accident and he uses the doggie door to come and go as he needs. When he visits his foster grandma (who does not have a doggie door) he waits patiently by back door until he is let out to use the restroom. He has not chewed any of his foster kids’ toys and he does not counter surf. What a perfect gentleman he is!
This great guy is just a bit shy sometimes with loud noises and new experiences but he's sweet ad not at all sketchy, just submissive. He does not like the vacuum and immediately goes to the backyard during the daily vacuuming time. He prefers a quieter atmosphere but is adjusting to the busy lifestyle of his foster family’s home.
Theodore loves all people. He's a true Labby that way. And even better, he also loves other dogs and especially the other 3 Labradors he is fostered with. He gets along great with 2 males and 1 female. He sleeps next to them each night and never causes any problems. Theo is really and easy going fella.
Theodore is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Now, he needs a family to make his holiday wish come true. Are you ready to make this lovely guy yours?

| Bentley 3 adopted!
Meet Bentley, a gorgeous English black lab! Bentley has the fabulous good looks of an english lab with his blocky head and shorter stature and he is a male of 4 years old. This is one gorgeous hunk of English Labrador!
Bentley is about 100 pounds and needs to lose about 10 pounds to get to his perfect weight, so he will gladly welcome you on walks, dog park visits, and playing fetch in the yard to get in shape. His family free fed him previously and gave him no exercise. Needless to say, he packed on the pounds but this is a very easy fix for a dog like Bentley!
Bentley came to us when his previous owner had a new baby and could no longer give any time and attention to Bentley. We hear this all too often, lovely dogs put aside or given away when a family has young kids. Poor Bentley was cast aside unwanted. But we were grateful to bring him into the IndiLab family and help him find a loving forever home! Bentley is a happy, social lab - he loves all people and other doggies too. He enjoys his walks and playing ball in the yard and just lying at your feet when you are at home. He is a great, mostly mellow, yet sometimes wiggly lab who will give you lots of love! He is a typical lab who wants to be with you and will follow you from room to room - happiest being where you are. He loves horses, chickens, cats and other critters!
Bentley is a large chunky boy with lots of love to give. He enjoys his walks, but does pull on leash, so is best walked with a pinch collar, as he can be quite strong when he wants to go somewhere. He is completely housebroken and non-destructive in the home, and sleeps soundly all through the night on a doggie bed next to his foster parent's bed. Bentley would do best in a home with older children. While is he good around kids, he is a large boy, who is sometimes unaware of his size and can easily knock down younger kids. He loves getting his belly rubbed and wags his tail constantly! Bentley will also give kisses when he is happy and what a sweet boy he is! Bentley is a mostly mellow boy - low to medium energy. He would enjoy a home where he can get regular walks, some time to play fetch, and perhaps trips to dog park or the beach. He does love the water, so if you have a pool, would likely find his way in for a dip! He is obedient too - knows sit, down and stay, following commands from his foster parents with ease. He is also a good car rider, just laying down to enjoy the ride. Bentley will bark to alert you to noises outside, which we find quite nice as he lets us know when someone is coming onto your property.
Bentley is neutered, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines.

| Bodeen adopted!
Meet Bodeen! Oh this guy is a real find! He is a happy, sweet, Chocolate Lab purebred with a gorgeous block head and deep dark chocolate coat. He's a beautiful boy of about 6-7 years old.
Bodeen came to us from a local shelter in Los Angeles where he spent about a month with no one paying any attention to him. Bodeen had hair loss on his back end and tail - likely from poor food and neglect for years. We took Bodeen into the IndiLab family and immediately his life started to improve! We got Bodeen to our vet and put him on quality grain free food and within a couple weeks Bodeen was looking so much better! His coat is now soft and silky and his hair is growing back in nicely! He is an even happier boy now that he is feeling better!
He is an adorable boy with a happy smile wherever he goes. His sweetness is just too hard to resist for any of us. Bodeen is a nice size at about 80 pounds. He is completely housebroken and non-destructive in the home. He has lovely house manners and settles well at home. He is also very good in the car so would enjoy taking trips with you or just simply running errands around town. Bodeen is good with all other dogs and cats too! He basically ignores kitties, so he is a good choice for a family with cats. He has been fostered with big dogs and small dogs and does well with all of them - he is just an easy going boy all around. We think Bodeen would be happiest in a home with another dog. He really seems to enjoy the company of another dog in his home.
Bodeen is a medium energy boy, enjoying his walks. He pulls just a little on leash, but corrects very well with reminders from his person. He also loves to play ball and enjoys his doggie toys too - it's too cute for words. He would do great in a home where he will get daily walks, perhaps a hike once a week and might even enjoy a trip to dog park here and there. Bodeen is very well trained! He knows sit, shake and speak on command - what a smart boy! He is still learning his "stay" command, but that is normal with many rescue dogs who just want to be with you all the time. He is an easy boy to add to your family as he is well mannered. He sleeps soundly on a doggie bed in his foster parents bedroom all night long. Bodeen would do best in a home where his people are home more often than not. If you are gone all day at work, Bodeen would likely be lonely at home all alone. He likes to be with his person, and is an ideal dog to bring to work with you if you are so lucky. Or he would enjoy just hanging around the house with you if you are home a lot. He would love to have another doggie companion in his home if possible. Bodeen is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Odell adopted!
Meet Odell – the most wonderful 3 year old chocolate Lab around. He's as beautiful as he is sweet and he is quite special.
Odell is everything one might imagine a Labrador to be. Labradors have a reputation as a very even-tempered breed and an excellent family dog. This includes a good reputation with children of all ages and other animals. That fits Odell perfectly!
Odell is now fostered with 3 other Labradors and 2 human children. He gets along great with them all. He has proven that he is friendly with both male and female dogs of all ages. He also has shown that he is a good candidate to monitor kids while they do homework and supervise while they watch tv.
Odell comes from a shelter where he was picked up as a stray. His foster family just can’t figure out why no one came to pick him up. Odell has a fabulous personality and great manners. He walks easily on a leash and he knows several commands. Odell will sit, shake and lie down when asked. It is obvious that someone took the time to train them. Now, he needs a family who will take the time to appreciate him.
Odell is an average sized male Labby at about 87 lbs and he is one gorgeous dog. His beautiful eyes, soft temperament and snuggly personality make him a dream.
Odell uses the doggie door to let himself in and out of the house when he chooses. He sleeps though the night and is non-destructive with the items his foster kids leave around the house. He will be a great dog to take to the park, doggie beach or even out to lunch. He will enjoy joining his foster family on any adventure. Walks, runs, or just hanging out? Odell will excel at them all!
Odell is up to date on his shots, neutered, and microchipped which means that now he just needs a family who is willing to take him home. So, if you are ready to meet the love of your life, email us now!

| Cherish adopted!
Meet Cherish, a lovely purebred chocolate female Labrador who is all smiles and kisses. This 7 year old English Lab is short and stalky and a perfect size at about 70 pounds. She is a lovely combination of playful energy and nice indoor mellowness.
Cherish came to us from an elderly owner who could no longer care for her. This sweet girl lost the only home she's ever known, but she adjusted very well in foster and has the typical happy, go lucky Labbie personality.
Cherish is completely housebroken and is well trained too. She knows sit, down and come and is well mannered in the home. She is non-destructive when left - unless you count the shoes and socks you leave out. She is known to grab socks or shoes you have around and mostly just walks around with them in her mouth, but may also chew them. So as long as you don't leave shoes out and about, Cherish is a perfect girl.
Cherish is a happy girl, always wagging her tail. She loves toys and dog bones - and immediately found the toy basket in her foster home, picking out her favorite dog toy.
Cherish is a medium energy girl - she settles beautifully in the house but would also love daily exercise. Mostly she likes to be close to you and nap at your feet. Cherish would love daily walks. She would also enjoy trips to dog park or perhaps even a hike. Cherish also loves to swim! She would love trips to dog beach or swimming in your pool if you have one.
Cherish is good with other dogs and good on the leash. She can pull just a bit at first, but settles really well into walking right with you on leash. We do not know how she will do around kitties, so we will not look to place her in a home with cats at this time. Cherish is a very good girl in the car. She will try to find her way up to the front seat, but once you are on your way, she just lays down while you drive.
Cherish is fostered with other labs and does well with all of them. She previously lived as an only dog and did well, so we know she would do well as your one and only. She would also do well with another doggie companion.
Cherish is also very good with children. She can be jumpy and a little mouthy when she gets excited and playful, so children over age 6 are best for her. But mostly she is a gentle, sweet girl who loves every person she meets. She carries her labbie smile everywhere she goes.
Cherish is healthy, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. She is also current on flea control.

| Thea adopted!
Meet Thea, the sweetest, most mellow purebred Labrador Retriever. She is really a treat!
Thea is a beautiful 5 year old female with a deep chocolate coat. She is a medium sized female and could easily carry 5 more pounds but looks very good at her present weight. She has the loveliest face with her burnt sugar eyes and she has a classic otter tail. What a pretty girl. She attracts attention wherever she goes and is eager to meet other dogs.
Thea came to us when her family found that they had no time for her. She was living in their back yard with not even a walk now and then. They realized she deserved more and thus contacted Indi Lab to help find her the home she truly deserves.
This girl is sweet and easy going with adorable mini-spurts of energy when she sees a leash. She loves her walks! She's great in the house where she easily lies by her foster dad or mom or next to her foster brother lobbies.
Thea follows her foster Dad everywhere. She's a velcro girl who loves company. She is housebroken and has perfect manners in the house. She rides beautifully in the car - even sitting right next to her other lab brothers. She loves to go for a walk and is an enthusiastic sniffer but corrects quickly with a slight tug on the leash. A little more leash time and she will be walking like the perfect lady she already is!
Thea shows no interest in a ball in the yard or house and we have not been able to see if she likes water yet. She really likes to be near her foster dad and eagerly explores and smells all the new scents on her walks and in the backyard at her foster home.
This girl gets on beautifully with her two older energetic brother labs. She loves to give her brother labs kisses although they don’t seem to want to return the favor. She would do great on easy hikes and gets excited when she knows she is going for a walk or ride in the car. She is a medium to lower energy girl.
Thea has not been tested with cats so no kitties for her at this time.
She is a medium sized dog and we think she will do fine with older kids.
Thea is healthy and is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and current on flea control.

| Brooklin adopted!
Brooklin in a New York Minute! My name is Brooklin and I am looking for a family that loves a devoted and gentle lady Labrador Retriever to run and play with. I came to Indi Lab from a breeder who kept me as pick of litter and planned on bteeding me until I had to be spayed. The breeder wanted a home that was homechecked and approved for me so surrendered me to Indi to get only the best.
I am a healthy girl with a deep chocolate coat and golden eyes. I am a shy girl but I love to wag my tail so hard my whole body shakes and give you licks and kisses. I know you will love me at first sight. My foster Dad says that I am so beautiful that he is sure I will find a home very quickly with parents who will know what a prize I am.
Brooklin is a beautiful 3 year-old girl with a deep chocolate coat. She is a medium to smaller sized female and is a perfect weight. She has perfect Labrador lines and her breeder obviously saw her potential as a parent of show dogs. She is somewhat shy but very loving. She attracts attention wherever she goes and is eager to meet other dogs.
This girl is sweet and mellow and easy going. She's great in the house, where she really likes to be in her crate or next to her brother lobbies. She follows her foster Dad everywhere. She rides beautifully in the car - even sitting right next to her other lab brothers. She loves to go for a walk and where she tends to walk slowly and never pulls on the leash.
Brooklin shows interest in a ball in the yard or house but does not yet chase it because her labbie brothers beat her to it. She really likes to be near her foster dad eagerly explores and smells all the new scents on her walks and in the backyard at her foster home.
This girl gets on beautifully with her two older energetic brother labs. She would do great on hikes and gets excited when she knows she is going for a walk or ride in the car. She is a mellow to medium energy girl and loves a walk any time of day.
Brooklin is still somewhat shy but loves her person or people and likes to be close. She loves to be petted and will lick your hands to give you kisses. She settles down nicely in the house and we are working on her house manners.
Brooklin has not been tested with cats so no kitties for her at this time. We think she will do fine with kids over age 7 who are well behaved.
Brooklin is healthy and is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and current on flea control.

| Kaylin adopted!
Meet Kaylin! The sweetest purebred Chocolate Lab. This 5 year old girl is looking for a home to call her very own. She is loving, easy, mellow, kind, gentle and perfect in every way.
Poor Kaylin came to us with a horrible uterine infection. Luckily we got her in time and promptly treated her. She is now completely cured and feeling a lot better! She is still underweight and will need a family to continue her slow and steady weight gain to get her to her healthy weight. She currently weighs 56 pounds, and should gain another 12 pounds to get to her ideal weight of around 68 pounds. She will still be a smaller sized Lab when at her ideal weight.
Kaylin is great around all other dogs and cats too! She has been fostered with other Labs and Goldens, met many smaller dogs at the vet office and also previously lived with cats and does fabulous with all of them!
Kaylin is a shy girl - especially around new people she meets. She warms up to you pretty quickly and once she does, she will come to you for affection and attention and give you kisses in return! Kaylin does well with kids, but because of her shyness, she will do best with older kids who understand she needs some time to get used to new people. Of course younger kids who are gentle with dogs would work for her as well. Kaylin is a great car rider! She will need a boost in, but is perfect once she's in, she would enjoy traveling with you wherever you go. Kaylin is very good on leash, never pulling once! She is still gaining some of her strength and stamina back from being ill and underweight, so she doesn't go on long walks yet, but could definitely work up to that as she gains more weight and gets her strength back. Kaylin is a low to medium energy girl. She enjoys her walks, but at this point is not strong enough to do a hike or anything more. She enjoys the company of other dogs, but is not playful with other dogs, so does not need dog park trips to burn energy. Mostly she is a mellow girl who enjoys spending time with her people. Snoozing on a dog bed while you work or watch TV. She is slowly discovering dog bones and dog toys, which is super cute to see! Kaylin is completely housebroken and crate trained. She's mellow and SO easy to have in your home! She sleeps soundly all through the night and is a quiet girl. She doesn't know any other commands, but would learn quickly. This girl is very special - so loving and so deserving of lots of love from a forever family! Kaylin would do well as your one and only, or with other doggie or kittie companions. But mostly, she would be happiest in a home where her people are home more often than not. If you work all day away from home, Kaylin may not be happiest in your home.
Kaylin is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and ready to find her forever home - will it be you!

| Carmen adopted!
Meet Carmen! This girl is 6-7 years old, and full of life! Carmen is an English, bench bred girl with a super silky and shiny black coat and gorgeous amber colored eyes. She steals the show in the looks department. Carmen came to us from a high kill shelter where her family had dropped her off, we will never know why. We can't imagine this as she has been nothing less than the perfect Labbie girl in foster! Carmen is housebroken and non-destructive in the home. She settles beautifully on a doggie bed in her foster parents bedroom and sleeps there soundly though the night. Carmen came to us a little overweight, so her new family will need to work on continuing her weight loss. She has about 10 pounds left to lose, and with a simply limited kibble diet and exercise, she will easily lose her excess weight. Carmen is a medium energy girl who loves attention from her people and loves to play ball. Carmen can be a bit shy at first, but bring out a ball to play fetch, and you will see this girl light up with life and energy! She plays fetch like a true professional, running and catching and bringing it right back to you every time. She can do this over and over until "you" are tired. Carmen is fostered with another male Lab and is great with him. She also has met many other dogs on walks and passes all of them with ease. Like many Labs, she can pull at first on leash, but settles in well to walking next to you within about 10 minutes. Carmen would do well as your one and only, or as a doggie companion. We do not know how Carmen would do around cats, so no kitties in her new home. Mostly Carmen just wants a home where she can get lots and lots of attention! She will sit right up in front of you and will stay there for hours if you pet her - if you stop petting her, she will nudge you with her nose to continue. She just adores being near her people and getting lots of affection! Carmen is also an expert wiggler - she has the true lab wiggle and her tail wags constantly. Her tail can definitely clear a coffee table and she wags it if she even senses you looking her way! Her trademark wiggle is just adorable! Carmen would do well around children, but only children over age 6 as her wiggle and her excitement around the ball could definitely knock younger children down. Carmen is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.

| Charlie 2 adopted!
Meet Charlie! This gorgeous yellow male Labrador is a purebred from Champion lines with papers to prove it. Charlie has perfect conformation and a nice block head. He is really a beautiful purebred Labrador. He is 5 years old and about 80 pounds and in fabulous shape!
This beautiful boy came to us from a family who could no longer give him the attention and exercise he deserves. Charlie has a friendly happy disposition and really loves to play and walk and jog and especially loves to swim!
Charlie is well trained, he knows sit, down, stay and is beautifully crate trained. He is very well mannered in the home and settles well, curling up next to you. He is completely housebroken and non-destructive in the home. He has a tendency to jump when he is excited and he will pull on a leash as he loves to get going on his walk. These are easy fixes through routine and reminders.
This extremely healthy Labrador will need daily exercise. He should do a good jog or long walk everyday and would love hikes or jogs on the weekends. He has also loved his trips to dog park with his foster mom where he plays to his heart's content with his new found doggie friends! He would also love it if you have a pool or visit dog beach - he adores the water! He is perfect for an active family or person and a great buddy.
Charlie settles beautifully in the house once he has had his exercise. Like all Labs, he loves to be near his people, and will settle right by your feet while you work or watch TV. He is a super sweet boy who loves affection from his people.
Charlie is good with other dogs, and cats too! He lived with cats in his previous home and did great with them. He would do well as your one and only or as a doggie companion. He is playful with other dogs, so if he lives with a doggie companion, it would be good for it to be another dog around his age who is also playful. He would also be a good choice for a family with kids as he came from a home with young children and did well. However, he is quite jumpy when excited and could easily knock a young child down. Any family with kids, will also need to be sure they have the time to exercise this active boy daily.
Charlie loves to roll over on his back for belly rubs from his people. He loves every person he meets and would love to go on outings with his new family wherever you go! He is a good car rider, hoping right in the car on his own and enjoys new adventures. Charlie is a happy go lucky, fun Labbie boy who would do well in any home that include him in the family fun and activities.
Charlie is healthy, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.

| Allie 3 adopted!
Allie is a beautiful 13 month-old purebred Labrador Retriever puppy. She is just beautiful with her deep chocolate coat and burnt sugar eyes. She is a medium sized female and is a perfect weight with perfect Labrador conformation and the classic otter tail that wags all the time. She attracts attention wherever she goes and is eager to meet other dogs.
Allie came to Indi Lab Rescue when her owners realized they just didn't have the time for a third young dog in their home on top of the other two dogs they had previously adopted. They loved this perfect angel so much that the came to us asking that we find only the very best, pre-screened home that was ready for a young purebred puppy and would love her forever.
This girl is sweet and mostly easy going with the occasional spurts of puppy energy. She's great in the house, where she easily goes into her crate or lies down next to her brother lobbies. She follows her foster Dad everywhere because she is really such a great companion dog who loves her people.
Allie rides beautifully in the car - even sitting right next to her other lab brothers. She likes to go where you go and loves being part of the family.
Allie loves to go for her walks and is so cute and wiggly waiting for her leash. She is a good girl on her walks and is learning not to pull on the leash when she is walked. A pinch collar will help her learn to walk like a lady. She is still a very young Lab and as she grows up she will be lovely on her lead walks.
Allie shows interest in a ball in the yard or house but does not yet chase it because her foster Labbie brothers always beat her to it. She really likes to be near her foster dad eagerly explores and smells all the new scents on her walks and in the backyard at her foster home.
This girl gets on beautifully with her two older energetic foster brother labs. She is still a puppy and loves to play with her brother labs although they sometimes get tired and tell her to leave them alone. She seems to love the boy doggies!
Allie would do great on hikes and gets excited when she knows she is going for a walk or ride in the car so a new home where she will gets lots of off leash hikes, leash walks, outings and maybe even doggie beach would be just sublime! She is a medium energy girl and loves a walk any time of day.
Allie has not been tested with cats and her previous family says she chases them, so no kitties for her at this time.
She is a medium sized dog now so we think she will do fine with older kids.
Allie is healthy and is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and current on flea control

| Augie adopted!
Meet Augie, a sweet, adorable male purebred Labrador Retriever with the most darling personality and disposition.
Augie is a gorgeous yellow Labrador. He's a light cream color and he's a wonderful age at about 9 years. He's perfect for an easy walk but equally as wonderful laying by your side to watch a movie or listen to music. He's just right.
Augie is a medium sized purebred. He's a great weight (maybe a tad lighter even) and he's got pretty conformation.
At 9 years, we cannot believe Augie ended up on the hard concrete floor of a high kill shelter, but there he was and we nipped that in the bud! This handsome angel came home with us as soon as we found out about him.
Augie was clearly neglected in his former home. The first thing we noticed were his eyes which appeared infected. It ended up that he had glaucoma in both eyes and we have treated that at our vet. So far he's doing great! His eyes look wonderful and he no longer rubs them. Augie was living in a back yard and given no exercise. Consequently he lost muscle tone and became slightly weak mostly in his hind end. We've been giving him low impact walks and solid nutrition and he is responding beautifully.
Augie loves humans and other dogs and is really enjoying his foster home. He's fostered with two former Indi Lab Labbies who are permanent residents and he sure does love the friendship and company! He's getting spoiled by his foster mom and dad with sunshine and soft beds everywhere, nice treats, toys, and good food. He gets his share of pets, kisses, and cuddles too and he especially love that.
Augie is a wonderful, typical Labrador. He has the temperament and the heart and even the good looks. He will do beautifully in a home looking for an easy dog who like to hang out, do fun shorter walks, and just be a best buddy.
Augie is doing pretty well on housebreaking with a few indoor accidents. His new owner will want to continue to take him out lots and let him see where he is to potty. He sleeps through the night and is completely non-destructive in the house. He likes to follow you around and be close to where you are.
Augie will do fine with older children. Toddlers won't work as they can be rough and we want Augie to have lots of gentle love. We seriously doubt this guy would go for a cat but still we cannot place him in a cat home unless the kitties are outdoor cats since we cannot verify he won't bark or try to chase inside.
Augie is a very special boy. Whoever adopts this wonderful and loyal purebred Labrador will be so happy and so blessed.
Augie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and current on medical treatment.

| Princess Blackie adopted!
Meet Princess Blackie, a happy and sweet purebred black female Labrador of just about 5-6 years old.
Princess Blackie is a beautiful black girl with a sweet face and equally sweet disposition. She loves everyone and has a loving temperament with all other dogs as well.
Blackie is great with other dogs and enjoys hanging out with her foster brother. She will play a little bit with other dogs, but mostly just enjoys their company. And she rides beautifully in the car with other foster labs on outings.
Blackie is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house. She is a nice size at about 75-80 pounds. This pretty girl came to us from an owner who moved and simply could not take her with them. She has lived most of her life with another dog, so we think Blackie would do best in a home with another dog. It is clear she has been well cared for throughout her life as she is as sweet as they come and loves all people she meets.
Princess Blackie loves attention and love from her person. She will sit up in front of you, give you her paw, and even sit up on her hind end gently to give you both paws and a hug - we think this is just adorable as she is very gentle about it. Blackie is not jumpy or mouthy and we believe would do very well in a home with children over age 5.
Blackie constantly chased the cats in her previous home, scaring them often, so no cats for Blackie in her new home.
Blackie will need her daily exercise like a good walk or dog park and then will do great settling into the house. She is completely housebroken and has nice manners. She sleeps soundly through the night on the dog bed or on the floor next to her foster parents bed.
Princess Blackie is very good on leash, rarely pulling, except when she's excited of course. Blackie comes when called and like a typical Labrador, follows her person everywhere. So far she doesn't seem to be a swimmer, but perhaps with some fun learning how to swim and get in and out of a pool, she will pick it up. She has fallen in the pool a couple times, so if her new family has a pool, it will be important to teach her how to get in and out of the pool a few times before ever leaving her alone around the pool.
Princess Blackie is a good girl in the house or car and settles nicely. Her new family will want to supply lots and lots of love, which is what she adores most! She would love nothing more than a couple nice walks or perhaps a hike each day and attention and pets from her family. She will adore just laying next to you while you watch TV or work on your computer. She would even love to go to work with you if you are lucky enough to be able to take her with you.
This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her.
Princess Blackie is a healthy girl who is up to date on shots, and spayed.

| Cha Cha adopted!
Meet Cha Cha, a beautiful 3 year-old purebred female Labrador Retriever with a deep chocolate coat and pretty golden eyes.
Cha Cha is a very mellow, low maintenance girl. She attracts attention wherever she goes and is eager to meet people.
This girl is sweet and chill and easy going. She is really smart – knows “sit” and learns quickly when there is something he should not do.
She is a good sized female and needs to lose few pounds which she will easily do if put on a healthy well rounded diet with daily walks. Until then, there is just more Cha Cha to snuggle, hug, and love. And if you think of it, you really can't have too much chocolate.
Cha Cha is wonderful and well behaved in the house and follows her foster Dad everywhere. She is completely housebroken and non-destructive. She's a great house dog and prefers being inside with her humans.
Cha Cha is a great travel buddy and rides beautifully in the car - even sitting right next to her other Labrador brothers. What a good girl. She loves dog park and loves to get out and about. She cannot wait to go for a walk and is learning not to pull on the leash. A pinch collar keeps her well behaved on the walk.
Cha Cha will chase a ball and she smiles when she beats her foster brother lobbies to the retrieve when her Foster Dad throws it. She really likes to be near her foster dad and lick his face. She is a typical loving Labrador to all in the family. She eagerly explores and smells all the new scents at the dog park or in the backyard at her foster home. She greets other dogs well at the dog park.
This young girl is just about 3 and gets on beautifully with her two older, more energetic brother labs. She is wonderful with other dogs and would be very happy having a doggie sibling. She would also do fine as your one and only true love.
Although very calm, Cha Cha would do nicely on mellow hikes and slow jogs too and gets excited when she knows she is going for a walk or ride in the car. She is a calm, medium energy girl and loves an outing any time of day. Cha Cha basically just wants to be with you and can also hang out with you watching a movie if that is your desire.
Cha Cha is a snuggle bunny and loves her person or people and likes to be close. She loves to be petted and will lick your hands and face to give you kisses.
Shelby showed a bit too much interest in the cat at the vets office when she was there for her exam, so no kitties for her at this time.
She will do fine with older children but may be too much for toddlers since any larger dog can knock toddlers down and steal their snacks.
Shelby is healthy and is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and current on flea control.

| Barron adopted!
Meet Barron, a whole lot of Lab with a whole lot of love to give. Barron is a gorgeous yellow boy with a big heart and he is ready for his forever home.
Barron is a 7 year old large white English bench bred Labrador. He currently weighs a bit more than he should, however, his new grain free food and exercise routine means he will go under the 100 pound mark in no time. Until then this mellow, gentle, and easy boy will have more to love!
Barron was turned in by his owner who was ver sad to part with him. We are so happy that he brought him to the rescue instead of taking him to a shelter. His owner knew that Barron would be safe with us and that we would find him a loving family to care for him. Because he came from a family who has had him since he was a puppy he is already house trained and he has never caused any problems for his foster family.
He gets along fabulous with the three Labradors that he is fostered with. He easily settled into being a part of the pack. He enjoys lying around and going on walks with the other dogs. He also enjoys the attention of his foster humans. He especially loves to get scratched and is a big love.
Barron is a true family dog. He's so well behaved and good in the house and on walks and he loves his people. He is good with children too and gentle enough to have around elderly people as well.
Barron will enjoy walks around the neighborhood and trips to the park. We think he might even like trips to dog beach. He will be good as an only dog but he will also be good with another doggie pal. He is very easy going and will fit right in to a loving home.
Sweet Barron is neutered and up to date with his shots. Now he just needs a family to get him on a diet and take him out for some exercise. We know the family who gets him will be the winner of the Labrador jackpot because this guy is quite the catch!

| Scout 3 adopted!
Meet Scout. Scout is an adorable and sweet, young chocolate Labrador Retriever. He is mellow and easy going. He is such a good boy and has the sweetest face and expressions.
Scout is still under 2 years of age. He is in great shape having been loved and cared for since puppyhood. It is sad that his loving owner had to give him up due to circumstances beyound his control. We promised to find Scout only the best most qualitifed home!
Scout is a beautiful purebred with great conformation. He is a perfect 70 lbs. This youngster has a friendly happy disposition and loves everyone he meets. He is exactly the type of dog adopters cannot wait to meet!
Scout came to us as owner surrender. His family had big life changes and were no longer able to give him the attention he deservers. Lucky for whom ever gets to adopt him because this boy is a love bug.
Scout settles beautifully in the house where he enjoys being with his foster family and laying around like a good boy. Scout is housebroken and crate trained. He is on the mellow side. This boy does fine with a long walk in the morning and a short afternoon stroll. He might retrieve a ball but really he would prefer a belly rub.
Scout is a joy to walk. He does not pull, and walks at whatever pace you set. Scout knows “sit” and “stay”. He is learning “down”.
Scout will do great in a home with another friendly canine or as your one and only. He just wants attention and to be in the mix with his family.
Scout is a little timid about getting in the car and requires some encouragement, but once in he rides like a champ. We are sure a few more car rides to the dog park or the beach and he will learn to associate the car with fun.
Scout has not been cat tested so we won’t place him with kittens at this time.
Scout is healthy neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

| Seamus adopted!
Meet Seamus, a 6 year old purebred yellow pedigreed Labrador Retriever. This gentle, easy going boy is a gentle giant at about 100 lbs. He's what we call a "prefect" dog!
Seamus has perfect manners, walks like a dream (trained to walk on the left side!) mellow temperament , loves to play ball and there is none of the usual "fight to get the ball", as he will retrieve the ball and gives it right back!
Seamus loves all humans and other dogs. He gets along perfectly with his foster siblings - male and female Labrador Retrievers who are in the home. He was raised with another dog and will do best in a home with another dog.
Seamus comes to us from a loving home where his family was forced to let him go due to issues beyond their control. He was obviously loved and trained and it really shows.
Seamus has been living mostly in a yard for the last year. We will only place him into a home where he will be indoors and get tons and tons of attention. He deserves it!
This mellow, easy going boy needs minimal low-impact exercise each day and he loves his walks. He is non-destructive in teh home and completely housetrained. He's a perfect indoor companion!
Seamus was raised with cats and is perfect for a home with a kitty!
Seamus is a " talker". He makes random noises (cute noises!) and will whimper now and then....its just one whimper and then he's done .. he doesn't continually cry but he likes to give you a quick hello now and then and it's adorable.
He loves his crate and is a good sleeper through the night and sometimes even snores! he even smiles!!
Seamus came to us pretty overweigh. He could lose 10 lbs, which should be easy with more walks! He loves his walks and is a pleasure to walk. He passes other dogs nicely and is such a good boy. Seamus has mild arthritis and his owners gave us 2' prescription to take as needed. However since he has lost weight and started exercising, the arthritis has been almost non-existant. His new family will want to keep him lean and in shape and he'll do great.
Seamus is as mellow and sweet as can be. He even SMILES right at you! What a prince and special dog this boy is. He will make one lucky family very, very happy.
Seamus is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and neutered.

| Boris adopted!
Ahhh! This is Boris, a really handsome male Labrador of 4 years old. This boy is a really well bred purebred with excellent comformation and perfect temperament. He's the cream of the crop.
Boris has a gorgeous thick black coat and a touch of grey just under his chin that makes him look even cuter than he already is. This boy is darling. He has a little bit of hair loss on his back end and tail - likely from eating poor food. Labs can tend to have allergies to grains, so it is important that they be on a grain free diet. Now that he has been bathed, and is on a nice grain free kibble, we are confident the hair will grow in nice and thick like the rest of his coat in no time!
Boris came to us from a local high kill shelter where he was found as a stray and never claimed. We were just thrilled to rescue this gorgeous example of a Labrador!
Boris is a calm and loving boy. He has just the best easy going personality. He loves to be with his person and loves riding in the car. And with his temperament you can take Boris just about anywhere with you. Boris is a low to medium energy boy. He doesn't require anything more than a couple nice walks a day, so he can be described as a couch potato at times. Snuggling up with you to watch TV or hanging out at your feet while you work on the computer is this boy's idea of pure joy!
Boris is very good with all other dogs as well. He is fostered with 4 other dogs both big and small and does great with all of them. He's not a crazy playful guy but he enjoys their company. He doesn't need the company of other dogs, so we do think he would do find as an only dog. Boris really enjoys chasing the cats in his foster home, so no cats for Boris in his new home.
Boris will do fine in a home with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. He really doesn't love being left alone for very long so he would do best in a home where his people are home more often than not. As is typical for a Lab, he loves his person, and would enjoy being with his people at home, at work, traveling, and more.
This boy is really a best friend. He wants to be part of a family and close to his people. He is a very calm boy in the house but has nice energy for a good walk each day. Boris walks very nicely on leash - rarely pulling, so he really is a joy to walk.
Boris might enjoy a game of fetch. So far he doesn't show much interest in it, but does sometimes run after the ball. He's truly not much of a retriever. He is really more of a cruiser just hanging out and enjoying easy romps with his foster family and enjoying life.
He is a gentle and calm boy so is a good choice for families with children. Of course he does enjoy stealing the occasional stuffed animal or sock and carry them around in his mouth - we really find this adorable!
Boris is a real lover and such a special boy.
He is healthy, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered.

| Wally adopted!
Meet Wally, the happiest black Lab around! He is about 3 years old and weighs approximately 76 pounds. He's a gorgeous medium sized Labrador Retriever with a pretty blocky head and a shiny jet black coat. He is really a special boy and so loveable!
Wally is ready for a forever family and we are sure that he is hoping they like to play ball – a lot of ball. Wally is the best ball fetcher around! And, when his foster family stops him from playing, he will carry the ball with him wherever he goes. He even likes to sleep with a ball next to him. He is indeed a retriever!
Wally was picked up as a stray and taken to a shelter. We are not sure why no one came looking for this happy guy. He is so lucky that our rescue was there to scoop him up and get him out. Now he is ready for a great life with a family and balls (lots and lots of balls).
We are pretty sure that Wally had never been inside a house before. He was so unsure about coming into his foster family’s home. After lots of coaxing he finally did and now he goes in and out of the doggie door all day long. He loves sleeping on the comfy doggie beds and rugs around the house. And, he has never had an accident in the house. That’s right, he is housebroken. This smart guy learned quickly from the other three Labs in the home.
Wally is great with other dogs. He is fostered with 2 males and 1 female and he gets along with them all. He is also great with people and loves to get hugs and kisses. Wally is very gentle taking treats. Although we know he would not intentionally hurt anyone, he is very wiggly and his tail wags like crazy. He would do best in a house with older kids as he might knock a toddler down.
His foster family also thinks that he has not been on many walks. He will need to learn some leash manners. However, he is a quick learner and he should be a pro in no time. In fact, Wally will probably learn tricks quickly, too. As we said before, he is very motivated to play ball. He would love that as a reward for doing a trick! This is a fun dog to have around. Smart and eager to please!
Wally is micro-chipped, neutered, and current with all of his vaccines. He is now ready for a forever family! Did we mention that he wants one who likes to play ball?

| Clarita adopted!
Meet Clarita, a sweet and gentle, female Labrador. Clarita is a pretty chocolate girl of superior temperament. This 1 year old chocolate lab is not yet full grown at 55 pounds and will likely be about 65-70 pounds as an adult.
Clarita needs her daily exercise as she is still a puppy, but she is the perfect mix of mellow calmness and energetic fun. Clarita is a gentle girl who deserves lots of love and affection. She will sit right up next to you just to get attention and lay her head on your lap while you pet her.
Clarita came to us from a high kill shelter where she was found as a stray. The shelter was a high kill shelter lacking in space and we rescued her just before she was in danger of euthanasia. Hard to believe a sweet, beautiful, calm girl like this with outstanding temperament could be in danger, but due to overpopulation, this is sadly the case.
She is a bit on the thin side - slightly underweight at 55 lbs, but now that she is in our care, we are feeding her plenty of high quality food and healthy doggie treats so she can gain the 5 pounds she should gain to be at a healthy weight. We ask that her new family also be committed to helping her gain the weight she needs.
Clarita knows sit, but will need additional training to learn her other commands. She will sit nicely for you while you put on her leash, but she does pull once walking. She will learn quickly to not pull with some corrections and reminders from her person.
Clarita settles beautifully in the house after her walk. She likes to be close to you and nap at your feet or on the bed & nestled up close. She is not jumpy or mouthy, but of course she is still a puppy at only 1 year old, so she could still could select the wrong thing to chew. Clarita is housebroken and typically whines at the front door for her foster mom to let her out to potty - what a good girl! She is also a good car rider - hoping in the car with her mom to go for a drive, and just laying down in back, never trying to climb in the front.
Clarita will do beautifully as an only dog or with another friendly doggie companion. She is currently fostered as an only dog and does very well when left at home alone. Clarita is a medium energy girl - requiring her daily exercise, but a couple of moderate walks a day and some play time in the yard are just fine for her. She likely will not be a good running partner. She enjoys playing fetch and will bring the ball back for you and drop it at your feet. Clarita is not tested with cats, so we will not look to place her in a home with kitties at this time.
Clarita is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped & ready for her new home!

| Myles adopted!
Ahhhh! This is Myles, a really handsome male Labrador of 5-6 years old. This boy is a really cute boy and has perfect temperament. He's the cream of the crop.
Myles is of perfect size for a male Labrador at 75 lbs. He is a gorgeous yellow / golden color and is an all around happy go lucky labbie.
Myles came to us as a stray - but seems to have been well cared for prior to coming into foster. The day our volunteer met him there was no question of how wonderful this boy is and he came home with us that day.
Myles is mostly a calm and loving boy. He has just the best easy going personality and takes just about everything in stride. He loves to be with his person and loves riding in the car. And with his temperament you can take Myles just about anywhere.
Myles is very good with all other dogs as well. He's not a crazy playful guy but he enjoys their company. He has met dogs both big and small and does well with both of them. In fact, he might even be a good choice for a family with cats as he has just ignored the dog savvy cats he has met.
Myles will do fine in a home with or without another friendly canine companion. If you are gone all day at work, it would be nice for Myles to have a doggie companion so he isn't totally alone all day long. He's not really a dog to leave in the back yard all day by himself while you are at work. Myles walks very nicely on leash, rarely pulling, so he truly is a joy to walk. He is trained too, knows sit and down and takes treats really gently - what a good boy!
This boy is really a best friend. He wants to be part of a family and close to his people. He is a very calm boy in the house but has plenty of spunk for dog park, good walks, and trips to the beach. He enjoys playing a game of fetch, but is not obsessive about it. Let's be honest... he's not perfect about giving the ball back to you, but he is learning quickly in foster.
Myles is currently fostered as an only dog. He is enjoying his foster home very much and settling in beautifully. He is completely housebroken and well mannered in the home.
He is a gentle and calm boy so is a good choice for families with children.
Myles is healthy, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered.

| Golder adopted!
Meet Golder. This purebred yellow male Labrador is 3 years old. He has a thick dark yellow or golden super soft coat. Golder is a happy friendly boy who always has a smile on is face and a wag in his tail.
Golder came to us after his owners turned him into a shelter on the 5th of July. He was very stressed in the shelter and we could not wait to get him out of there.
This fun young boy will need lots of daily exercise. He should do a long walk or a jog everyday and would love hikes or the beach on weekends. He is perfect for an active family or person.
Golder settles nicely in the house. He is house broken and crate trained. He also has nice house manners and stays off the furniture. He is not destructive and is not a chewer or a digger. He just loves being pet and will put his head in your lap for as long as you like. He is just as sweet and affectionate as the come.
Golder does pull on the leash, so he is best walked with a training collar. Golder likely spent most of his days alone in a yard. He does not know his basic commands. He would do great in an obedience class as a way to bond with his new owner.
Golder is fostered with another young lab and they play all day. We think Golder would do best in a home where his family is home more often if he is an only dog. We just don’t think he would be happy left alone during the day while his people are all at work. Of course if he has a doggie companion in his new home, he will do fine while your at work.
Golder would do best in an adult household as he is a little shy.
Golder has not been cat tested so will not place him with cats at this time.
This special boy is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. All that's needed now is the very best fur-ever home! Will it be yours?

| Rosie Chestler adopted!
Meet Rosie Chestler or Princess Rosie as we like to call because she looks lovingly at her foster dad like he is her Prince Charming! This princess is a pretty yellow female Labrador. She is about 4 years old and a perfect sized Lab with a lovely personality. Rosie is just a doll. She is really the sweetest girl imaginable!
Rosie loves the dogs she is fostered with including another female Lab and two male Labs. She plays nicely and shares her toys with the other dogs and they are really enjoying each other's company. We think she would like to have a doggie companion because she really enjoys the three she has now.
Rosie knows how to "sit" and she is learning "stay". She's a fast learner and wants to please. Rosie is a strong girl who can pull on her leash at first but does well with a pinch collar and with practice walking her will be a pleasure. She is a gentle dog who enjoys treats and is not food possessive. Rosie is playful and loves to play with other dogs. She can be a little mouthy when she gets excited in play so she may be too much for tiny toddlers, but will do fine with older children. She currently has two kids ages 14 and 11 in her foster home. She loves to follow them around the house.
Rosie is a real people lover. She adores her people and craves attention and love. She likes to be by your side and loves to be pet and cuddled. She has a very sweet disposition. She also is very fond of belly rubs. When her foster family pets her she often plops down on the floor and rolls over to get them.
She is housebroken and non-destructive. When her foster family goes on shopping trips she stays home with her Labby friends and never gets into anything. She is a quiet girl with mellow yet playful temperament. She's still a young Lab and will need some nice daily exercise and trips to the beach and dog park for extra fun.
Rosie came to us from a very high kill shelter. She was turned in by her owner. We really have no idea why because she has perfect house manners.
Rosie has never had an accident in the house. She uses the doggie door by herself and she has not destroyed anything inside or gotten into a spec of trouble. She is so easy and we can’t believe someone would turn her in to a place where she had the potential of being put to sleep. And, shelters are so scary for dogs. We can’t stand the thought of sweet Rosie sitting scared in such a horrible place.
Rosie is up to date on her shots, microchipped, and spayed. She is now ready for a loving family who will never abandon her again. She is a fantastic Lab who deserves a fantastic life. Are you ready to give it to her? You won’t be disappointed!

| Hayden adopted!
Meet Hayden, a 1 year old, yellow male Labrador who is a lighter cream and is a happy, playful pup! Look at his darling squishy English Lab face - adorable! Hayden is still a puppy at only 57 lbs. He will be about 65-70 lbs as an adult - a nice medium size Labrador. Hayden was a stray who made his way to one of the highest kill shelters in CA. We quickly rescued this boy to ensure he finds a great new home.
This boy has a sweet, playful temperament. He gets along beautifully with all other dogs. He loves to play and is having great fun with his foster sister. He is also lovely with the people he meets - sitting down in front of you, looking up with his soulful eyes, just longing to be pet.
This puppy will need plenty of toys, dog bones, soft squeaky toys and more to keep him entertained. His new family will need to ensure Hayden has some wonderful dog toys to play with daily. He doesn't have much interest in playing fetch, but perhaps might learn at some point. He walks well on leash, pulling at first, but quickly settles in to walking with you after a few corrections.
Hayden is medium energy. Still a puppy, he is playful and needs lots of exercise before settling in the house. As he matures he will be a mellow kid.
Hayden knows "come", and "sit". He is learning "stay" (the hardest command). As any young dog, he will need further obedience training to be a good adult canine. He would love a doggie obedience class with his new owner - learning alongside other dogs is great for pups and also a good bonding experience for dog and owner. He is almost 100% on his housebreaking but will need some reminders as sometimes he doesn't want to leave his people to go to the yard alone to potty. He is a smart boy, and has already learned to use the doggie door at his foster home, so he will be perfect with just a few reminders in his new home.
Hayden will do best in a home with another friendly canine companion to play with or in a home where someone is home much of the time for now, since he is still a young Lab. He sleeps soundly through the night on the floor next to his foster mom's bed, and waits patiently for you to get up in the morning for his morning walk and breakfast.
He will need a home where someone is committed to doing a nice dog obedience class with him to continue his training. And since he is a puppy still, he is bound to make mistakes including potty accidents, playing with things that aren't his toys and the like. So patience and commitment are paramount for his new family. But overall, this boy is pretty easy for a young Lab pup - he is well mannered in the home and wants to please you.
Hayden is a bit mouthy as most young Labs are and he can be jumpy when excited so we recommend only kids over age 6 for this boy. Families with young children just need to be sure they have the time a young dog requires for training and exercise.
Hayden is a young Labrador, so that means daily exercise and socialization every single day for him. He will not do well left alone in a back yard all day. He will require regular walks, and would love trips to dog park, dog beach, and even some short hikes. Hayden has not been cat tested so we will not look to place him in a home with kitties at this time. Hayden is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped!

| Sully adopted!
Sully is a beautiful, pedigreed, shiny-black, sweet male Lab of 6yrs. He is full of love, joy, and desire to please and what a wonderful companion this perfectly bred purebred will be. He was given up by his family just last week due to some hardships. He has since settled in as a foster very nicely.
Sully has had a good life, and he was obviously well loved and taken care his entire life. However, he didn’t get as much attention as his family grew and they wanted more for him than they could provide. He loves to be loved and cuddled. And more than anything, he wants to be part of his family or owners life - not left outside in a yard alone or with another dog. He is an indoor family member with so much to give.
Sully is perfectly behaved on and off leash as well as in the house. He's non destructive, obedient, and wants to please. He loves to play fetch and will want to play as long as toys or balls are out for him. Once these objects are put away he just settles down and relaxes.
Sully has always had a canine companion in his home so he will most likely fair best in a home with another dog or two who are as sweet and nice a he. He gets along very well with other dogs and loves people and children. He would be best with kids older than 7 as he is very strong and plays hard and gets very excited when playing fetch with toys.
Sully needs daily walks as he has a nice amount of healthy energy. He's a wonderfully easy yet athletic dog. Once he has been walked he is a mellow guy around the house and settles right down at your feet or on his bed.
He loves to play fetch and swim at the beach in Santa Barbara where he is fostered, so his new person needs to make sure he doesn’t overdo it - especially on beach sand as he has a very tiny bit of arthritis in his front elbow which is not noticeable unless he plays too hard.
Laying around a yard for the past few years with only 2-3 walks per week, Sully got a little soft. With daily walks and occasional swimming at the beach, he will continue to get stronger as we already see in him. He is so healthy and looking just gorgeous and strong.
Sully is a big cuddle-bug and such a good, good boy. Like a nice big body pillow, he will let you lay on top of him and hug him and he likes it. Talk about Labby Love, this is it. Sully stays with you off leash and on your right side when walking on leash. He is well trained, knows many commands, and he listens. This is a really great dog!

| Devon (girl) adopted!
Awe what a sweetie! Meet Devon, an adorable purebred English Labrador female who is so darling and sweet and just pure joy to have around.
This gorgeous girl is a purebred AKC Labrador and she is a light cream/white color. Just beautiful. She has a nice blocky head for a female and she is a stocky girl with one of the nicest otter tails God ever made. This girl is not just beautiful, but has a lovely temperament too. She's a nice size female at about 65-70 pounds.
Devon is about 5 years old. She is completely housebroken and well mannered around the home. She likes to be near her person and loves other dogs. She is completely enjoying her foster home where she is fostered with 5 other dogs including 3 Labradors and 2 smaller dogs, cats, chickens, goats, horses and more. She gets along beautifully with them all and enjoys occasionally engaging in play and friskiness.
Devon is completely housebroken and uses the doggie door. Her new owners will need to introduce her to their doggie door so she knows where it is. She is mostly disinterested in kitties but it she is feeling particularly frisky she might give them a couple "woofs" but she means no harm. She would do very well in a home with cats.
Devon is perfect on leash but doesn't even need one. She walks right with you. She loves her walks and is great on off leash hikes or trips to dog beach as well. Mostly she enjoys going everywhere with her person - running errands, to the dog park, and more.
Devon will do great with children. she is a pretty mellow girl and is not too jumpy or bouncy. She is a good choice for a family with children or grandchildren. Devon is very well trained - she knows all her commands and even knows more such as shake too! This girl is a true prize! She is also great riding in the car - she hops right in and enjoys the ride. Devon will do best in a home with another doggie companion and in a home where she can be with her people often. She is not a good choice for a family who is gone at work all day unless you can bring her to work with you. She really likes to go lots of places with you.
Devon is even lovely enough to certify for therapy work and she will pass with flying colors. If you are thinking you would like to have a therapy dog, Devon could be a good fit with a little bit of training.
Devon is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Napa adopted!
Meet Napa, a handsome 4-5 year old yellow male Labrador. This boy is about 80 lbs with beautiful yellow coat.
This easy going boy is amazing with other dogs and loves all people. He is fostered with another male Lab and gets along great with him - he is very submissive to other dogs! But mostly he loves following his foster dad around the home.
Napa came to us from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter where he was in immediate danger. Of course the moment we met him, we knew he was coming home with us! Isn't it amazing the most wonderful dogs end up in our shelters? We are continuously surprised by these most deserving dogs who just need a little help to find homes.
Napa is a sweet boy who walks nicely on the leash with a harness. Napa really enjoys walking with his harness on and his foster dad finds it much easier. He's not a huge puller and is getting better and better on leash. Before long he will be perfection. He really loves his walks.
Napa would do well as your one and only or as a doggie companion - he enjoys another dog's company, but is not too playful with other dogs. And mostly enjoys being with his person.
Napa will do best in a home where he will get the daily exercise young Labradors need and would love to go to dog park and dog beach and even some nice hikes with his new family. He settles well in the house after his exercise and really enjoys laying on the cool tile in his foster home - so much so that his foster dad once found him lounging in the walk-in shower - what a silly boy.
We think he will do nicely with children, but he can be jumpy when excited and is a bit mouthy when taking treats - as most Labs, he loves his food so much! His foster dad is teaching him how to take treats gently and he is learning well - he is a smart boy.
We don't know how Napa will do with kitties so we prefer not to place him with them at this time.
Napa is almost 100% housebroken. Upon coming into foster, it didn't seem Napa had spent much time in a home - sadly he might have been stuck in a yard only prior to us rescuing him. His life has taken a turn for the better and he is loving his belly rubs and all the comforts that being part of the family brings! He has learned his house manners beautifully and is now housebroken in his foster home as well. Of course any new dog should be watched at first in their new home and showing Napa his potty area and going there often will help him learn his new routine. Napa can be timid upon meeting new people, but he warms up quickly. He does well with his foster dad, and he adores the teenage kids in his foster home as well.
Napa is completely crate trained and settles beautifully in his crate. He seems to really like his crate and is a quiet good boy through the night.
Napa is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Coffee 2 adopted!
Meet Coffee 2, a very petite, 40 lbs Bench Bred English female Labrador. This girl is AKC registered chocolate Lab and from very good lines which is reflected in her looks and temperament.
Coffee is so small she looks like a permanent puppy. Her coat is very dark chocolate brown and her eyes are brown also which is nice. Many chocolate labs have light brown or burnt sugar eyes. Her's are brown which is more desireable. Coffee has a nice head and little round "cat" paws. She is really just the lovliest thing ever.
Coffee is amazing with dogs and cats. VERY gentle and calm dog who is also adorably playful. She likes to carry a toy in her mouth and prance around. She is sweet and velcro and wants to be near where you are.
Coffee is great in the car and settles beautifully. She is also non-destructive in the house and settles down great. Her exercise needs are not that much as she is really a very, very clam low key dog. She would love walks and dog park and dog beach for socialization and fun. But on rainy days she will just hand with you watching a movie if you like.
Coffee is a great candidate to do therapy dog work. She's what we call a "bombproof" dog with other dogs and humans. She is great on leash and with some training will be perfect.
Coffee likes to be near her person or people. She is velcro. This is not a dog to be left home alone all day or ever to be left in a yard. Not only is that now compatible with her personality, but she is too special for that lifestyle. She wants companionship and attention.
Coffee would work well for families with babies and small children or even with an senior citizen.
This extraordinary dog is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and will be spayed shortly.

| Shelby adopted!
My name is Shelby and I am looking for a family that loves a devoted and gentle lady Labrador retriever to run and play with. My brother Hal and I were rescued from a family who had a little baby and another on the way. They thought we were too big for their little ones even though we are the gentlest labs around. I guess we are just too big for little babies.
I am beautiful girl with an almost white coat and golden eyes. I love to stare into your eyes while I rest my head in your lap. I know you will love me at first sight.
Shelby is beautiful 2 year-old white purebred female Labrador. She is a good sized female and needs to lose few pounds which she will easily do if put on a healthy diet with daily walks. She loves people more than words can say. She is a true Labrador with the wiggle and velcroness typical of her breed and boy do we love her. .
Shelby is sweet and mellow and easy going. She knows “sit” and “shake” and learns quickly. She wants to please and is a very good girl
Shelby is great in the house and rides beautifully in the car sharing space nicely with her foster lab brothers. She loves her walks and is learning not to pull on the leash. walking perfectly with a pinch collar.
Shelby is 2 years old and gets along nicely with her brother Hal. If you have the love and room for two wonderful labbies who will love and kiss you for many years, Hal and Shelby will be perfect.
Shelby will do best with another friendly canine companion if she is adopted without Hal. She gets on beautifully with her two foster energetic brother labs and is friendly with other dogs at the dog park.
She is a medium energy mellow girl and loves a walk any time of day.
She is a realy love bunny and loves to be petted. She settles down nicely in the house and is fully housebroken.
Shelby shows almost no interest in cats on walks but we have not really tested her so no kitties for her at this time.
Shelby is very, very mouthy. She will put your whole arm in her mouth to show affection. She doesn't apply any pressure at all but this would be a problem for your children. We will consider older children for Shelby.
