| Milo 3 adopted!
Meet Milo a delicious one year old purebred Labrador Retriever who is as sweet as he is adorable. And boy is he adorable!
Milo is a darling puppy at just a year or slightly less. Labradors are puppies for 2 full years and their behavior reflects that. They love to play and chew toys, and take naps and do all manner of puppy things. They also continue to grow until they reach adulthood at 2 years. Milo is medium energy and settles beautifully after his play time and exercise. He is also an excellent napper. Naps are good.
Milo is a real lover. He wants nothing more than to adored by his people and be best friends with the other dogs he is fostering with. He especially loves playing with his foster sister Rachel and his foster brother Harley. Boy is playing fun!
Milo came to us from a situation of utter neglect. He was left alone in a yard all day and isolated. He became so bored, that he licked his paws constantly to self-sooth and ended up with lick granulomas all over them. He was starved and came to us extremely underweight. Naturally we took care of his wounds and sores and after being fully vetted, vaccinated and neutered, he recovered and has gained much needed weight in his foster home. He will need to continue putting on weight for a little while and this should be easy with good food.
This pup lives in the moment. He's already forgotten his former life and now all he wants is to share the love! After all life is good for a typical Labrador puppy like Milo. Did we mention that he's is a puppy? He loves to play and chew squeaky toys and Nylabones, before settling down nicely to rest. His new owners will want to supply other dogs for play (either at home or dogpark), and lots of chew appropriate toys, Nylabones, and other fun toys. He gets along with every dog he's met and currently lives with five other Labs in his foster home. His new owner should continue socialization. He's potty trained and uses a doggy door. It would be great if his new home had one too!
We recommend that Milo goes a home without small children because of his Labrador size and his playful puppy energy. He does extremely well with other dogs and it would be best if he were placed with another dog with a little less energy but who enjoys play as well.
Milo needs a home that will continue to work with him on his manners and training and do a puppy obedience class. He's smart and learns quickly, but because he is a pup, he has very little training so far. He walks well on a leash and rides beautifully in the car. Like almost every Labrador teenager, Milo likes to put his paws up on the counter to see what is up there. He has not taken anything however, but then again, his foster home is Lab savvy and knows that leaving food on countertops in Labrador homes is a no-no. He is a puppy - a blank canvas - and he is eady to become the best dog. He just needs the guidance and training all puppies require.
He seems interested in the pool, but has not gone in yet. He’s likely enjoy the water like most labs and would love trips to dog beach.
Whoever adopts this sweet boy will be live under a lucky star. He is lovable, sweet and affectionate and, of course, has the classic and beloved Labby temperament that makes this breed the number one breed in the country.
Milo was just neutered and his vaccinations are up to date. He deserves the best home where he will become a treasured member of the family. Will it be yours?

| Bradley adopted!
Meet Bradley! He is a 6 year old purebred yellow English or Bench Bred Labrador male. This boy is a gorgeous guy with a big block head and a nice stocky body.
Bradley has a mellow, fun personality and enjoys playing with people and other dogs. He has a constant smile on his face and a big labby tail wag all the time. He is a perfect size at 83 pounds. He is fit and trim and a healthy boy! What a happy boy he is who adds joy to any home and any person he meets. Bradley is a gentle boy and would be a great choice for a family with kids. He even gravitates towards young people and immediately drops to the ground for a belly rub from anyone he meets - its adorable! He has a handsome but adorably cute face all at the same time. And sweet eyes, with gorgeous dark eyeliner as well. Bradley came to us from a local high kill shelter. We will never understand how he ended up there as he is one of the best labs we have ever met. He has good house manners, is perfectly housebroken and sleeps soundly through the night on his doggy bed too. He has perfectly gentle food manners and is not food obsessed like most labs and eats side by side with his foster lab brother with ease. He also takes treats gently from his humans - what a good boy! Bradley is a medium energy boy. He can pull a bit on leash, so is best walked with a pinch collar, but he loves his walks and literally dances when he sees the leash come out. He would love a couple nice walks a day and could even join you on a hike too. Bradley is great with all other dogs. He is currently fostered with an older male Lab and the two get along beautifully. In fact, we think Bradley would prefer a home with another dog for company.
Bradley is healthy, neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, and now ready for his forever home!

| Roxy 7 adopted!
Meet beautiful Roxy. Roxy is a 3 year old pure bred Labrador Retriever who is absolutely stunning!
This young labby has a shiny coat and the sweetest dark eyes. She is a very happy girl that loves to please her people. She is still a puppy and absolutely adorable.
Roxy came to us when her family hit financial hard times and had to move into an RV. They wanted Roxy to have a better life where she could enjoy a yard and be with a family that could afford to care for her. Roxy came from a home where she was truly loved.
Roxy is pretty much perfect. She is a calmer, medium energy young Labrador who plays nicely with other dogs, but she is also very mellow and loves to cuddle with her humans. She loves to kiss and be touched and she is very gentle. She still has sweet puppy breath and did I mention she loves to kiss?
Roxy truly has amazing temperament and learns quickly. She genuinely wants to please her person and is a true Labrador Retriever! This young girl is great with other dogs and is quite playful. She likes to chase the ball and will drop it at your feet. She knows basic commands, but pulls a little on the leash at first settling in quickly. She also rides well in the car.
Roxy is not food obsessed, but she does like treats (who doesn't?). This is great for training. She knows how to use the doggy door and she is potty trained. Roxy is still like a puppy so she enjoys chewing on Nylabones. She has not been tested with a pool, but she does seem curious. If her new family has a pool, she will need to be properly introduced to it. And like all Labs, she will likely love it!
Roxy has not been cat or child tested. We think she would do best in a home with another playful dog since she was brought up with another canine companion and she loves to play. Older dogs may not be the best fit. Roxy is currently being fostered by a family with dogs and she loves it.
This Labby girl likes to sleep with her humans. She wouldn't mind a home where she can lay with her owners on the couch or snuggle with them occasionally in bed. Roxy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
This girl has it all, the looks, the temperament and the love. All she needs is the very best fur-ever home! She deserves the best family! Will it be yours?

| Chai adopted!
Meet Chai - a darling smaller sized female lab of only 1 year old. Chai is a purebred AKC chocolate Labrador of only 50 pounds and will remain on the smaller side, likely only getting to 65 pounds when full grown.
Chai came to us when she was hit by a car and her owners could not afford the surgery she needed to repair a broken leg. Thankfully the family contacted us and we stepped in to help - immediately getting her to our best orthopedic vet! She has now had her leg surgically repaired and is healing very well. She will need another 2 weeks of limited activity before she can enjoy all off leash activities though.
Chai is such a sweet girl - she loves all people including kids! In fact she lived in a home with young children before coming to us and she did great with them. She is also great around other dogs and is a playful young girl. Chai is not tested around cats, so no homes with kitties for her.
Chai is completely housebroken and sleeps soundly through the night on her dog bed. She even uses the doggie door in her Foster home. She is also crate trained and really enjoys her crate. She would do well with a doggie companion or as your one and only as long as you are not gone all day at work.
As a puppy at only 1 year old, Chai needs lots of chew toys and exercise. She may still select the wrong thing to chew if left all alone, so will need to be watched - as most Labrador puppies. She loves her nylabones and other fun doggie toys. She is an active girl who would love hikes, dog park, perhaps a jog with her owner. But all running and jumping will need to wait another 2-4 weeks for this girl, to ensure her healing is 100%.
She is doing very well with her training in her Foster home. She knows sit and has learned not to run out the front door when opened. She is also learning not to jump up at people when excited. She is still learning stay and other commands, so she would love some additional training. She does pull on leash, so is best walked with a training collar.
Chai loves to give kisses to every person she meets. She is a happy, sweet girl who can't wait to be completely healed so she can enjoy all the fun physical activities like hiking, swimming and more!
Chai is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Li'll Bits adopted!
Meet Li'll Bits, a darling, petite, 2-year old yellow female Labby girl who is just so unbelievably cute and sweet that she will melt your heart!
Li'll Bits is only 45 lbs. She is a perfectly compact Labby with the most easy going sweet personality. She is calm and so deliciously adorable. She just loves to be close and is such a calm and sweet girl.
At only 2 years old, she is a young doll baby who will love her walks and outings, yet she is mellow enough to simply be close and hang out with you while you watch tv or take a nap. She could even go to work with you and be a good girl!
This girl loves to be close and snuggle. She is a love bug with such a gentle personality. She loves being cuddled and pet or putting her head into your lap. She will make a perfect companion for most anyone.
This little sweetheart stole our hearts when we met her. Her gentle nature captured us so and we couldn't resist her charms. We feel certain you won't be able to either. She is just lovely.
Li'll Bits is good with other dogs and would be a wonderful companion to another friendly canine. Or she would be a nice one and only too. Her petite size makes her easy to take almost anywhere. She would love to run errands with you!
Li'll is slightly timid and very submissive. She is also underweight and we think was not cared for very well. Despite this, she has such a generous heart. Some good nutritious food, time, love and wonderful care is all she needs to be as happy as we know she can be.
Li'll is wonderful on leash. She doesn't pull one bit and walks right beside you. She will make the perfect walking companion. She listens well and she wants to please. Her young age and loyal personality make her ideal for future training.
Whoever adopts this special girl will be so lucky. What a treasure she is!
We have not cat tested Li'll so no kitties for her at this time. And although we see her as gentle enough for the elderly or the tiniest infant, we feel no young children are right for her at this time as she comes out of her shell and opens up more. This little rose bud is just waiting to blossom and making her the center of attention will be most lovely for her!
Li'll is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. All that's needed now is the very best furever home. Will it be yours?

| Kala adopted!
Meet Kala, the sweetest girl. Kala is a darling, black, purebred female Labrador Retriever with a gorgeous face and lovely disposition. She's the epidome of Labrador lovliness! Kala is also a nice smaller sized Lab at only 60 pounds, and in perfect health.
Kala is 6 years old and is a calm, easy going gal in the home, but who also loves to go for walks and play fetch too! She is the perfect mix of fun and easy. Kala came to us when her previous owner could no longer keep her. They had loved her since she was a puppy and found themselves in a position in which they could no longer provide her the life she deserved.
Kala is a very smart girl - she learned to use the doggie door in her foster home within 2 hours! She is completely housebroken and will use the doggie door to go in and out constantly. True to her retrieving breed, Kala loves to play fetch - she will chase a ball or toy or anything you want to throw for her, it's one of her favorite activities. She would love a home where she has doggie toys to play with someone who will play fetch with her as well. Kala is fostered with other dogs both big and small and is fabulous with all of them - she would do well with a doggie companion, or as your one and only. Kala mostly loves her people and wants to be with her person as much as possible. She would adore a home where her people are home a lot or where she can go to work with you. She nustles her head up next to you for pets and head rubs - her favorite! Kala is also fostered with a kitty and she mostly just ignores her, although she has given chase a few times. We don't believe Kala would ever harm a cat, so if you have a cat, Kala could be a good choice for you.
Kala is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She is ready for only the very best fur-ever home. Will it be yours?

| Blake adopted!
Meet Blake! Oh this guy is a real find! He is a happy, sweet, gorgeous purebred black Labrador of about 3 years old with a gorgeous shiny black coat. What a hunk! Blake is an English or bench bred Labrador with a blocky head and stocky frame which is perfect for the breed. His sweetness and his dopiness combined are just irresistable!
Blake is a bit chunky - likely from being overfed. He needs to lose a few pounds but with his regular exercise and quality limited food, he'll be perfect in no time. He is a big GENTLE boy. His feet look like snowshoes! This snuggle bunny is a gentle bear cub of a dog. He's just lovely - mild mannered, calm, but with just the right amount of playfulness. Blake came to us from a local high kill shelter where he found himself as a stray - we will never know why. When we saw him, we knew he needed to be rescued and join the Indilab family! Blake is a low to medium energy boy on the calmer side who is mellow and well mannered in the home. He would make a great companion to another doggie or would do well as your one and only boy. He is currently fostered as an only dog and does very well. He will alert you by barking when someone is at the door, but true to the Lab temperament, he quickly starts wiggling and wagging his tail as soon as you open the door to say hello. Blake seems much too interested in the cat in his foster home, so no kitties for Blake in his new home.
Blake, though pretty mellow, has medium energy and loves his walks! He does pull on leash, but his foster mom is using an Easy Walk harness and he's doing really well with that!
He settles beautifully in the house after his exercise and he is completely housebroken.! He enjoys his dog bed and his doggie toys and loves being part of the family. He is a good car rider and enjoys his rides by calming settling down and cruzing along. We believe this big Labby cuddle-bug would do great with kids due to his gentleness. As always, any big dog could knock a child down without intending to do so. Blake has a great temperament and good foundation, but likely his family fell off of his training, so he could use a few reminders of his basic commands. He takes correction very well and responds to gentle reminders. He wants to please his human so it will be no trouble getting him to learn the ropes of your household. Blake loves it when you rub his cheeks and will even find his way into your lap if you let him He will return your time and attention with happiness, love and kisses right back to you! Blake is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Yule Tide adopted!
Meet Yule Tide, or "Yuley" as we call him! Yuley is a 3 year old pure bred English Labrador retriever who is an absolute black beauty! This young labby has a coat like shiny velvet, the brightest eyes and a backside that wiggles like Jell-O when he wags. Yuley is an incredible physical specimen and just adorable to behold. He is truly irresistible!
Yuley came to us from high kill shelter. We believe he may have been used to breed puppies because he was so physically well cared for. He really is just a gorgeous young dog.
This sweet guy didn't show much interest in toys at first but now he carries his favorite duck around the house and enjoys fetching the tennis ball. He is learning the joys of being a well loved house pet!
Yuley is a calmer medium energy young Labrador who will settle into a more mellow fella post neuter. He will be neutered after Christmas and his new family can bring him back to our vet to perform the deed at our expense. He was still recovering from a minor cold earlier which is why his neuter was postponed.
This young fella has not been trained much and will need consistent commands with positive reinforcement. He wants to please his human and while not food obsessed, he does like treats which will help the process and keep training fun. He's already learned to wait to hop up on the family room couch until he gets an invite and the doggy blanket has been spread out! That said, he will sometimes still help himself to a snooze on the living room furniture when his foster family is away. He corrects easily and wants to learn.
Yuley is an enthusiastic walker who pulls on a leash at bit at first, but his foster mother uses a gentle leader and he is beginning to respond to correction. As stated, he is a medium energy lab, but at three years old would love one or two good walks a day or would enjoy a jog or hike with you now and then. The more he walks, the better he is on leash. He is loving learning to be an excellent buddy.
As mentioned, Yuley has not been neutered as he has been recovering from his doggie cold. He is now better but his neuter cannot be performed until after Christmas when an appointment can be made at one of our vets. Because he is still intact, he can be a tad dominant with his senior male foster brother. This will subside after a neuter when he feels less like a stud and more like a teddy bear!
We believe this was a stud dog due to his looks, conformation and temperament so it's unsurprising that he would act like one. A neuter will correct that fairly fast and until then he'll do best with females. However he may try some loving behavior (aka humping) with females too :-), so his new family will need to be patient until his neuter is complete and he has recovered. We know Yuley will mellow some more after being neutered but we think he'll do his best in a home as an only dog to start out.
This gorgeous hunk is up to date on vaccines and microcipped. His neuter will be done at our expense at one of our vets.
This boy has it all - the potential for perfection, the looks, the temperament and the love. All he needs is the very best fur-ever home! Will he be your Yule Tide treat??
Yuley

| Maddie adopted!Meet Maddie, a darling AKC registered female Labrador who is simply delicious in every way. Maddie is a gorgeous purebred fox red Labrador with soulful eyes and a gorgeous coat. This 6 year old female is petite at only 60 pounds and is calm as the day is long. This angel came to us when her human dad suddenly passed away leaving her human mom unable to care for Maddie. Maddie has been loved and treasured her whole life and it shows. She loves humans and loves to snuggle. She will be by your side as much as you desire and she will happily sleep in bed with you only if she is invited. Maddie is wonderful with other dogs. She lived with another dog prior and we think she will do her best in a home with another sweet male or female canine. She is a submissive and sweet girl and extremely calm. She loves her walks and is wonderful at passing dogs on leash although her leashwork needs a brush up. This will be absolutely no problem given her obedient, mellow temperament especially because Maddie was professionally trained when she was a youngster. She knows her commands and wants to please. Maddie is in great health and just gorgeous. She is a medium energy snuggler who will brighten your life in every way. Maddie is fostered in a home with 4 other Labradors and fits right in. She doesn't make waves and all the dogs love her. She even does wonderfully with the more dominant female in the home! She is just a very good girl. She enjoys playing with the other Labs and enjoys their company. Maddie has not been tested with cats so no kitty homes for Maddie. If you are looking for a friendly, easy going, very sweet Labrador and you have a home with another sweet dog, Maddie may be for you - especially if you love snuggling and cuddling. Maddie is an AKC purebred Labrador and will come with her AKC papers. Maddie is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and microchiped.

| Robbie 2 adopted!
Meet Robbie, a handsome dark chocolate hunk of Labrador. This boy is a purebred Labrador Retriever of about 4 years old. He has a thick soft coat and big blocky head and is a larger, solid and stunning boy.
This gorgeous treasure of a purebred Lab has a coat that is a tad dull from neglect, living outdoors, and a poor diet. He is being treated for an ear infection and his cut tail will need to heal. It breaks our heart that he has been so neglected!
With his conformation, face, and stunning gate, we feel this pup will look like a show dog in no time after being cared for in his new home.
Robbie is a total snuggly lover boy despite his former lack of care and he shows us he is forgiving, gentle and loving. He is so grateful to be loved. Robbie came to use from a high kill shelter. Lucky for him our volunteer was there to rescue him as he was getting depressed and needed a safe home, soft clean bed, and humans to care for him. Robbie is happy wiggly boy. He has the trademark tail that rarely stops wagging and the trademark soggy Labby face which we promise will break your heart. What a love!
Robbie is completely house broken and settles well in the house after his exercise. He's a good boy! He is a Velcro Labbie who wants to be right next to his person. He sleeps soundly through the night. Robbie is a medium energy boy. He really enjoys playing fetch. He will drop the ball nicely and bring it back as many times as you like. What a great Retriever! Robbie really loves his stuffed doggie toys too. He can often be found with a stuffed bear in his mouth and is too adorable for words carrying his stuffed lobster around.
Robbie is very good on leash. He loves his walks and will pull a little right at the beginning of a walk but settles to your pace after the first few blocks. He'd be a nice walking companion for sure. We think he'd look very nice wearing a bandana on his walks.
Robbie knows sit and would be easy to teach other commands as really wants to please his person. This is a dog that wants to learn it all and be your buddy. He's got the temperament we love. Robbie is good with his foster brother - another male Labrador, but he isn’t a big fan of little yappie dogs. Then again, who can blame him? Robbie would do great as your one and only true love or fine with another friendly easy-going canine - especially a more submissive sweet friend he will know is a best buddy. Robbie jumps right in the car and is happy to go for a ride. He would love to accompany you on errands and prefers a window seat!
Robbie had a hard time at the shelter. He was lonely, got a cut on his tail, developed a bad ear infection, and was depressed. He's healing and learning what it means to be loved.
He has been neutered and received all his vaccines as well as a microchip.

| Elsie adopted!
She's not a lion cub but she is just as adorable! Meet Elsie the English Labrador Retriever gal who's super calm personality is about as cuddly as her darling, snuggly body. Oh we love this creampuff!
Sweet Elsie, an adorable English lab about 6 years old, is a soft buttercream dream with soulful burnt sugar eyes, a chunky otter tail, and a gorgeous English conformation. Along with the English conformation, Elsie delivers the English temperament in spades. She is everything we love about English bench bred Labradors.
Elsie came to us from a high kill shelter where she was turned in as a stray. How that happened and how no one showed up for her is a major mystery to us.
Elsie is a smaller sized petite Labby girl who is slightly on the chunky side as many English labs are. She is close to her perfect weight and should take off just a couple pounds with good high quality food and daily walks.
This little bundle of sweetness will make a great companion! She loves to pick out a toy from the doggie bin and proudly show you her selection. She adores belly scratches and if she senses a tummy rub coming her way she will immediately stretch out with an expectant look of anticipation! Toss her the tennis ball a few times and she's ready to settle in for a nice afternoon nap.
Elsie is a medium to low energy dog. Her foster mom walks her with a regular collar and she does pull a bit but adjusts nicely after a few minutes. She really enjoys all the wonderful scents there are to sniff on her walks! She passes other dogs nicely and is a pleasure to stroll around the neighborhood with. She will do great with other dogs at outings, dog beach, or dog park.
Elsie is a typical Labrador Retriever where food is concerned. She is not food obsessed but will help herself to a sniff or more if an inviting trashcan is left out in the open. As with all Labradors, trash should be put away and not left out to explore. She is housebroken and sleeps beautifully through the night and she is not destructive. She has excellent housemanners.
This girl would do well as an only dog or with a mellow canine companion to be buddies with. It would be nice for her to have a friend or a pool or be near our beautiful Socal ocean.
Elsie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped.
Priority will be given to those familis who are the best fit for Elsie in the order they have been waiting. We generally will let the first family who emails and has been approved and waiting a while to meet a dog first.
Elsie is fostered in the Thousand Oaks area.

| Beemer adopted!
Meet Beemer! Beemer is a delicious 4-5 year old chocolate chunk. This purebred Labrador Retriever is nothing but pure darlingness!
Beemer is a deep dark chocolate cupcake with beautiful, soulfull eyes and a gorgeous face and head. He's a stunning fellow! He is the breed standard large sized boy and is a very, very good cuddler.
Beemer came to us from an inland shelter where he was given up by his owners because they were "moving". Given that he is so wonderful and so easy, it's hard to imagine letting him go! Needless to say, our volunteer scooped him to safety as soon as we were informed he was there.
Beemer is doing wonderfully in his foster home where he is fostered with another male Labrador who he gets along perfectly with.
Beemer is a good sized, medium energy lab who is wonderful to be with. He loves his walks and walks nicely on leash, although he definitely does pull in the beginning. He eventually gets in step with you and walks perfectly.
Beemer gets on well with other dogs and seems to enjoy their company. He will do well with a friendly canine companion.
We thing given his size and temperament that he will be fine with older teenagers as he is calm and sweet. But we won't condiser small childred because he may knock them over.
No cats for this angel as he has not been cat tested. No exceptions.
Beemer loves to be near his person and will follow you from room to room. He loves to be at your feet or watching you do your thiink. He's a great best buddy.
Beemer is neutered and up to date on his vaccines.

| Sunshine Sally adopted!
Meet Sunshine Sally, a beautiful, titled AKC registered female Lab who is a show quality dogs. Sunshine is 7 years old and retired from showing. She is ready to meet her forever family.
Sally has lived most of her life as a kennel dog and she loves other dogs. In fact she must go to a home with another sweet loving dog. She is sometimes a little shy with humans but still very loving. She can be timid at first with her people but warms up quickly.
Sally should be placed with another dog who is sweet and friendly just like she is. She loves other dogs and her transistion will be 100 times easier for her if there is at least one other dog in the home.
Sally does not know many commands but is eager to please her people. She is an extremely gentle dog who deserves only the very best, most loving and patient home.
This girl is extremely mellow and easy going. She's not a hiker or jogger but is a typical English Show Lab meaning she is stunningly gorgeous and likes to lay around or be close, relax and be near your side. She is a true companion dog.
We rarely come across dogs of this superior quality of conformation and temperament, so this girl is a find. However she will need TLC to acliate to being a house dog who is totally comfortable meeing lots of people and going on adventures. Her entire life has been on a ranch with limited people. Her temperament is fantastic so she will adjust and be the sweetest girl on the planet. But we want her new family to be patient and loving as she comes out of her shell.
Sally is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is healthy and happy and ready for her new fur-ever home! Will it be yours?
If you are looking for a mellow, English Labrador, here she is!

| Grant 2 adopted!
Meet Grant 2, a stunningly handsome, bench bred, 3-year old AKC registerd yellow lab. This stocky boy is almost white in color with a perfect otter tail, short stop, and kitten-round paws. His eyes are burnt sugar and he has beautiful black eyeliner. He's a very gorgeous fella.
Grant 2 came to us when his owners were no longer able to stay in the large homestead they had. They moved into a very small apartment and felt this guy would be much happier with space and much more attention. They were right. He is already blossoming in his foster home with several dogs, lots of room to play inside and well as a pool and large play area outside. He's having a blast!
Grant is a real snuggler and lover. He would love to lay in your lap if he could! He's fabulous with all other dogs and makes friends easily. Grant prefers a home with another playful friendly canine companion as he needs a best buddy and gets a little anxious left alone without one. With a friend, he is happy as a clam.
Grant knows his basic command like sit, and stay. He needs to brush up and get regular commands and education in his new home. He wants to please so will respond to your mood and your instruction nicely. Grant does have a habit of jumping up to hug you as he wants to give you love. Plus we think someone taught him that. He is learning that jumping is not ok and so far is learning well.
Grant is a couter surfer so NO FOOD on counters or he will eat it all. Most Lab homes already know this about our breed. When you have a Labrador, you always have a clean counter. If it's not clean, your Labby will clean it for you.
Grant will come with his "giggle ball" which he absolutely loves and his foster mom and dad bought for him.
Grant should have a home where he will get daily exercise at dog park, dog beach of on a hike. He is a more medium/mellow boy though as as an English Lab, he will mellow out considerably in the next year too. For now, he's medium energy to medium low. And he does want a play mate!
Grant is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready for love, love, love! Will he be yours?

| Chandler adopted!
Meet Chandler! Oh this guy is a real find! He is a happy, sweet, gorgeous yellow English Lab of 7-8 years old. And he is one of our most favorite ever rescued Labs. He is just about the best dog in the world.
He is an adorable boy with a happy personality and a sweet look in his eyes that just makes you want to hug and pet him all day.
This boy is about 80 pounds with a gorgeous face & droopy jowels. He is the perfect size for a male Labrador. His feet look like snowshoes! And this guy is a gentle bear cub of a dog. Just lovely. Mild mannered, calm, but with just the right amount of playfulness. He is pure perfection perfect for all people and all dogs. Chandler came to us from one of the highest kill shelters in the state. When we met him, we knew he needed to be saved. He is a big, goofy, lovable boy who has a lovely temperament - the kind of Lab you adore!! And exactly the kind of Labrador we love to save. He is a real prize. Chandler is a low to medium energy boy who is calm in the home, but also loves his play time with a ball or doggie toy. He would make a great companion to another doggie, or would do well as your one and only boy. He is fostered with 3 other male Labs and they all get along great!
Chandler, though pretty mellow, has medium energy and loves his walks! He does like to pull on leash though, so he is best walked with a pinch collar. He settles into his walks after about 15 minutes with less pulling. And we are certain with some additional training from his owner, he will learn to walk with his person. He is a healthy, fit boy who would enjoy regular walks, perhaps a short hike on occasion or even trips to the beach or dog park if you like.
He settles beautifully in the house after his exercise and is housebroken! He enjoys his chew toys and other toys on occasion keeping himself entertained or sharing with his doggie friend. He sleeps soundly through the night and is non-destructive when left. This boy is an all around great Lab! We don't know how Chandler would do around kitties, so no cats for him in his new home. Chandler is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Lulu 3 adopted!
Meet Lulu, a beautiful AKC registered female purebred English Labrador. She is 8 years young and a beautiful buttery yellow coloring. Lulu is a petite girl and a wonderful smaller size. She has a darling bear cub face and a terrific smile! This is really a very beautifully bred Labrador!
Lulu came to us when her owners dumped her at the shelter because "they are moving." How sad. Fortunately, she only spent one night there before we were able to get her safely out and to her loving foster home where she was cleaned up, given a warm soft bed, tons of kisses and pets, and a feeling of instant security. And although her family abandonded her, luckily for Lulu, she will get only the very best fur-ever home now!
She gets along with other dogs once she has been introduced properly. Her current foster family has 4 other Indi lab kids and she hangs out with them all day and night. She can be a bit temperamental towards strange dogs if shes in a stressful situation, like a visit to the vets office. She is not dog aggressive, but will sometimes bark or show some displeasure with certain dogs. However, she is easily corrected. Once she meets a dog, she is just fine.
Lulu is house broken and currently uses a doggy door. She loves being able to go in and out as she pleases but will also let her family know if she needs to go potty if the door is closed. She is non destructive and loves to lay quietly on a sofa next to her people, just enjoy some attention and moaning (yes, it's VERY cute).
Lulu is a very good girl in the car. She rides quietly and calmly. She will hop in, sit or lay down and just cruise along. She pulls a bit on the leash and but overall she is very good on walks and loves to take in all of the sights and smells. As she walks, she gets better and better with her pulling. In no time she will be walking like an easy show dog!
She adores her people and would love to be your true love. A very easy going girl who would love the very best home! Isn't she gorgeous?

| Molly Madison adopted!
Meet Molly Madison, or Maddie for short, a lovely almost white-yellow, easy going English female Labrador of 6 years. She is a perfectly bred English Labrador.
Our beautiful Maddie is now ready for adoption. This poor sweet girl came to us from a Southern California high kill shelter where her family dropped her off because they said they were getting divorced and could not keep her.
Molly Madison has a gorgeous soft white coat, warm loving eyes and will sit by your side soaking up whatever attention you want to give her.
Molly is a bit overweight as her previous family did not provide exercise or enrichment and free fed her. Labbies should never be free fed. On her new normal diet, she is shedding excess wieght and with her walks which she loves, the rest will fall off with no effort.
She is a happy girl who loves her walks, enjoys playing with the doggie toys in her foster home and mostly just enjoys spending time with her people. Maddie is a great walking partner, never pulling on leash - what a good girl! She just wiggles wherever she goes and wags her tail with everyone she meets.
Maddie is a wonderful indoor companion. She will lay at your feet while you work or keep you company while reading or watching TV. She is a medium energy girl who would love a home where she can get her continued daily exercise and limited food where she can lose the extra weight. Maddie would do well as your one and only, or with another doggie companion. She is also fabulous with kitties, so would be a great choice for a family with cats. Maddie has been fostered with 5 other dogs, both big and small and she is just perfect with all of them! Maddie is 100% housebroken and not destructive, but with any new dog, she should be watched at first in her new home. She loves to have access to the back yard via the doogie door and we can count on her to use it as needed. If her new home doesn't have a doggie door, she may need to learn the potty schedule there.
Molly Madison is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Bandit Puppy adopted!
Bandit is an adorable purebred yellow male Labrador puppy. Bandit is 5-6 months old and has no dew claws so is likely a purebred Labrador. He's almost white in color and has a jet black nose!. He really is the most darling boy.
Bandit is very, very sweet. He is a happy wiggly Labrador who loves everyone he meets! In fact, he will jump up on you with excitement - very typical of young lab pups. He will just need to learn to greet people with all four paws on the ground before he gets larger and jumping up isn't as cute. He takes his treats gently and is food motivated so will learn his commands quickly with a family dedicated to giving him the training he needs to become a good adult canine citizen.
Bandit is a young boy who is learning his basic commands beautifully! It would be lovely for his new owners to consider doing a puppy obedience class. He tends to pull on the leash a bit so will need training on how best to walk on leash. He is currently only about 45 lbs but will grow to be 65 as an adult so good leash skills will be important.
Bandit is a sweetheart and loves to give kisses. He is young so it's always best to provide a lot of suitable toys for a dog this age, as he may chew the wrong thing. Lab puppies his age all require lots of exercise and attention. He would love to play fetch, be a jogging partner, go to dog park or even enjoy a hike with you every day! While Bandit will do well with children, we will only consider homes with kids over age 8 for him as families need to have the time dedicate to the training and exercise all young pups need.
This darling white lab puppy has superior temperament and will grow up to be a wonderful dog who is great with everyone and all dogs.
Bandit is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He is not yet neutered, so will need to be brought to our vet for neuter within 30 days of adoption.

| Bogart Adopted!
Oh what a hunk! Meet Bogart - a super mellow low to medium energy gorgeous purebred English Labrador of about 7 years old. He is a big, dopey, loving, sweet, mellow lap dog with big bear paws. His coat is literally perfect- thick, shiny and very dark brown. His foster mom says he also doesn’t seem to shed as much as some Labs either. Bogart is one handsome boy! He has a big blocky head, short stocky wide body and otter tail and as is typical to the English breed. He get compliments everywhere he goes on his amazing good looks! Bogart came to us when his owner became very ill and could no longer care for Bogart physically or financially. Luckily we were there to help usher this beautiful boy to his new forever home. But looks is not all Bogart has going for him. His temperament is amazing as well. He’s very mellow and wiggles the moment he even makes eye contact with his human companion. He is completely housebroken and has good manners in the house and he doesn’t really bark at anything or anyone. He doesn’t even rush the front door when people come over. He is just a quiet, well mannered boy and never jumps on anyone – just easygoing in general. Bogart really loves his short 20-30 minutes walks and whines with excitement when he sees his leash come out - he is just so happy to smell every single thing he walks past and he wiggles at anyone he passes. He passes other dogs with ease and little interest but loves to go up and say hi if given the opportunity. Bogart is great on leash, rarely pulling. Bogart is fabulous with all other dogs - in fact he's great with almost every living creature. In his past he lived with goats, chickens, horses and cats. So this boy is would make a great one and only, but would also be great if you have other dogs, cats or even horses too. He sleeps soundly through the night on and off his doggy bed in his foster mom's bedroom. Bogart is a mostly mellow boy, but does have moments of playfulness where he begs his foster brother (another male lab) to play with him. We think he might enjoy short play dates with other dogs, although we don't think he would play all day long. Bogart doesn’t get excited with toys and has zero interest in playing fetch. He would prefer to just hang around with his human companions!
Bogart would do great with kids, but he is a large and strong boy, so could easily knock over a small child. Bogart is just lovely all around! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Jackie 3 adopted!
Meet Jackie, the cutest 1 year old purebred Labrador you'll ever see! This happy girl is so darn adorable and she has a ton of love to give.
Jackie is a typical purebred Labrador Retriever. She's beautiful, fun, happy and loves everyone. Jackie has a light cream almost white color coat and nice conformation. She has pearly white puppy teeth and a jet black nose you just want to kiss all the time.
Jackie came to us when her owner recently passed away. She was purchased as a puppy from a breeder and then sadly spent almost all her time in the backyard. She would love nothing more than to be a true family member and spend her days as an indoor dog.
Jackie is a good girl. She only wants to please and is a fabulous candidate for obedience training because she loves to learn and she wants to make you happy. She hasn't had much training so she will benefit from some good obedience training with her new owner so she can become the best canine citizen.
Jackie is a medium energy young Labrador. She loves her walks and will do best with someone who can provide her dog park and a good hike or walk each day. Lab puppies need their daily exercise and their daily play time and remember, Labs are puppies for a full two years.
Jackie is about 75 lbs and will grow to probably about 80 at full adult size. She's an average sized female Labrador and is very beautiful.
She can pull a bit on leash, so will need some training or to be walked on a training collar until she learns to walk in stride with you. She meets other dogs nicely, but excited to greet each and every dog.
Jackie needs a home dediated to owning a young Labrador. That means time, attention, exercise, and committed training. She is such a score that we think she's worth the commitment.
Although Jackie likes kids, we are not adopting him to any homes with children under age 8. She requires training and time and busy parents cannot possibly dedicate that to a puppy when they have little children to tend to.
Jackie has not been cat tested so no home with cats for Jackie.
She loves other dogs and will do find with another friendly canine companion, or as your one and only. She adores playing with other dogs, so if she is your only dog, she will want to have regular trips to dog park or play dates with other dogs.
Jackie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Kona Girl adopted!
Meet Kona Girl, the beautiful, deep dark purebred chocolate Labrador who will melt your heart, and whose big, brown eyes will make you smile. She is remarkably lovey. She is 6 years old and at the perfect age!
Kona came to us because her owners moved to a smaller home, and Kona didn’t have the space that she needed. They were working longer hours and Kona Girl was often left alone. Her family knew she deserved better and so they contacted us in the hope that a really great forever home could be found. Kona Girl has been well loved and well cared-for her entire life.
Kona Girl's family had a young child and Kona was very gentle and good with her. She is affectionate and loves humans people, but will still let you know that she is there when someone come to the door.
Kona Girl should not be in a home with cats, as her curiosity gets the best of her and she likes to chase them. Even if your cats are dog-savvy, we prefer not to place her with kitties.
Kona is doing exceptionally well at her foster home. She is incredibly sweet and charming. She loves to play with her toys and bones. Kona does fine when left alone in the house making her an ideal "only" dog or a companion dog to another friendly sweet canine. She is not destructive and has lovely house manners. Kona does not get on the furniture at all either which is so nice. She likes a nice bed nearby instead.
Kona Girl loves to eat. Most Labbies do! In order to keep her in great shape as she is now, her new family will want to keep her on a good diet and not give her too many treats. She loves treats and snacks and will steal food out of your hand if you are not paying attention. We think she learned this from the little child she lived with giving her food all the time. She will absolute be broken of this if gently corrected if it happens.
Kona Girl has very hostess manners and refrains from jumping up on guests. She will simply warm your heart by sitting next to you and putting her head on your lap. She especially loves ear scratches.
Kona loves to go for her walks. She doesn't pull and passes other dogs nicely. She is a low to medium energy, gentle Labrador and can just chill with you with some simply playtime or cuddling. She in on her glucosamine supplements as all Labs should be. This happy-go-lucky girl is fine being left alone or going out and about and is really good in the car too. She seems to enjoy car rides.
Kona loves water and the dog beach. She would really love a home near dog beach or a home with a pool.
She gets along fabulously with other dogs and sometimes likes to steal their dogs’ toys. Kona would do great in a house with another dog.
Kona is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
She is patiently waiting to share her love and happiness with you. Will you be her forever home?

| Cindy adopted!
Meet sweet Cindy! She is a purebred, 5 year old female English Labrador that will win over your heart and soul with her gentle loving eyes and smile. She is a perfect labby girl in every sense of the word. Medium sized with a gentle, kind face that will melt your heart.
Cindy came to us from a show breeder who has retired her as she was not able to get pregnant. She is a show quality Labrador or superior temperament. She had very little human contact as the breeder was located in a more remote area and only he and kennel personnel saw Cindy other than when at dog shows. Therefore she is a tad shy. She has fly strike on both ears from such a hot summer in the kennels. It is healing very nicely. She is timid right now but is really coming out of her shell more and more everyday.
She gets along with other dogs once she has been introduced to them properly and is shown her place in the pack. She is currently living with 5 other Indi Lab grads (2 males and 3 females). She loves to lay around with the gang and just hang out, or wander around the pool. She has already learned how to climb down on the second step of her foster families pool and she LOVES it. She is going to be a great water dog. She has not been tested with cats but it is most certain that she will be fine with them.
Cindy has mastered the doggy door to go outside but occasionally makes a potty mistatke. With a little more positive training her housebreaking will be complete! She is very, very smart and eager to please. Cindy rides perfectly in the car and quietly lays down. She is also learning to walk on a leash and so far is doing excellent.
She has been spayed and all shots are up to date. The new owner will need to get her micro-chipped. She also has a beautiful smile is as her teeth were just cleaned.
Cindy is a stunning girl and the family that adopts her will be happy for many many years as she will bring nothing but love and affection the right family.

Sammy is a typical purebred Labrador Retriever. He's beautiful, fun, happy and loves everyone. Sammy has a buttery yellow coat and nice comformation. He has pearly white puppy teeth and a jet black nose you just want to kiss all the time.
Sammy come to us from a couple who purchased him from a breeder not really fully understanding what owning a large breed puppy entails. They were used to small dogs and once Sammy reached his now 60 lb frame, he was more than they bargained for.
Sammy is a good boy. He only wants to please and is a fabulous candidate for obedience training because he loves to learn and he wants to make you happy. He has had some professional training and has responded beautifully. His new owner will want to continue his puppy training to get him to his best canine potential.

Sammy knows some basic commands and wants to learn more. He is housebroken too! He is a good boy on leash but may pull in the beginning until you get hi on your pace. He will meet other dogs nicely.
Sammy needs a home dediated to owning a Lab puppy. That means time, attention, exercise, and committed training. He is such a score that we think he's worht the commitment.
Although Sammy likes kids, weare not adopting him to any homes with children under age 12. He requires training and time and busy parents cannot possibly dedicate that to a puppy when they have little children to tend to.
Sammy has not be cat tested so no home with cats for Sammy.
He loves other dogs and will do find with another friendly canine companion - especially a play mate. And due to his age, we prefer homes which have someone around much of the time or where Sammy will have doggie daycare or a dogwalker to exercise him daily.

Fiona Puppy adopted!
Meet Fiona Pup! This 4 month old baby Labby Girl is so very sweet and loving. She's a petite thing and a pale yellow angel. She's just a baby!
Fiona came to us with her apparent littermate brother Findley (also available for adoption here) after they were picked up as strays and unclaimed at a Los Angeles City Shelter.
The puppies are very calm for puppies and love to play, cuddle, and explore. Thus far they are doing very well in their foster home and get along beautifully with the other Labbies there.
They do well through the night and sleep through and seem to really be doing great with their potty training as well!
Both puppies love to cuddle and are very loving. They love humans and will do beautifully as family dogs.
Fiona will do best in a puppy approved home where someone is around much of the time for the next few months. She would do great with another friendly canine companion to show her the ropes and be his play buddy.
She can also be adopted with her brother Findley as the two puppies get along so nicely and seem to love each others company. But they will do fine split as well as we can see them gravatating toward the other Labs in the home separately too.
Fiona will need a home committed to puppy training, putting childrens toys away and keeping puppy safe.
Puppies are mouthy and will play bite and chew things like shoes, toys, pillows, stuffed items, etc. They need lots of stimulation, play, exercise and patience!
Puppies also require leash training, crating, and other things.

| Summer adopted!
Summer Meet Summer, this gorgeous, happy girl is a purebred yellow female Labrador of about 8 years old.
She is a stunningly beautiful English purebred Labrador Retriever. We love this girl's lighter cream coat and typical English demenor, calmness and gentle nature. Wiggling and smiling are her specialties but that is just the beginning with this sweet, sweet marshmallow love bug.
Summer is from an excellent blood line of English Labs. She is beyond perfection, with her looks and personality. Summer was a show and breeding dog in her previous life and has been retired from showing and breeding. Her handler wanted her to get a fully screened loving home.
We made the promise that we would find her only the best home as we do for all of our dogs.
Summer is a happy girl who loves her toys! She can be found carrying a soft toy in her mouth and truth be told, she also loves to tear them apart to find the squeaker inside - what Labrador doesn’t love to do this!
is on a high quality grain free food and getting daily exercise in her foster home. She is lightly playful and loves all of the other dogs she has fostered with both big and small. She even ignores the cats. We think she will do wonderfully with cats and dogs or as your one and only.
Summer is completely housebroken and even knows her sit command. She is working on learning more with her foster family.
Summer walks on a leash beautifully. She's a dream. She loves her walks!! She would love a home where she gets 1-2 walks a day and perhaps even a hike on occasion.
Summer sleeps through the night on her bed without a peep. She is nondestructive in the home. She also rides nicely in the car.

| Findley Puppy adopted!

Findley came to us with his apparent littermate sister Fiona (also available for adoption here) after they were picked up as strays and unclaimed at a Los Angeles City Shelter.

Puppies also require leash training, crating, and other things.
Findley is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Buster Brown Adopted!
Meet Buster Brown, a playful and happy chocolate lab who is 9 years young. This boy is ready to be an affectionate companion in his furever home!
Buster is a medium sized, purebred chocolate Labrador Retriever. He has beautiful burnt sugar eyes and the typical dopey Labby expression we all love. He is in nice shape and not overweight. He has some slight Labby arthritis common to most labs his age, and keeping his weight in check and providing low impace exercise, fish oil, and glucosamine will keep him feeling fine and healthy. This sweet full breed American lab has medium energy and gets along great with his older foster brother and any dog he meets on his walks. He loves a decent stroll everyday and does well on a leash. A walk-along with a couple of tosses of the tennis ball and Buster is ready to settle right in at your feet for a rest. Buster has lived with the same family since he was a puppy. He came to us because they now have a baby that has medical needs and was allergic to Buster. It is so sad that Buster lost his home through no fault of his own. Because his family's baby was so allergic, Buster was left outside all the time, isolated and alone. He has been lonely for a very long time. Having become an exclusively outside dog for awhile now, Buster really wants to be inside with his people and we agree! Since he was outside so long, he does not like to be left alone and will remind you that he would be greatly pleased to come back inside when he is done going potty. He will need a few gentle reminders of where to potty as he gets used to his new home. Buster will do well with a family where his human is around much of the time. He thrives on a gentle touch and good old fashioned togetherness! He also will do best in a home with at least one other calm and well adjusted canine companion. Buster will not do well as an only dog left alone all day. He's suffered through that loneliness for too long already.
Buster is a a good boy in the house and seems to be settling in well. Due to his horrible experience being alone so long, he may take a little time to adjust and settle in. He can be anxious at first that you will leave him as his family did. Once he knows you are his people and he's your pup, he'll do fine and settle right into his new home. If you are looking for a labby who will give you adoring unconditional love then Buster is your guy!
Buster will do fine with kids but we have no idea about cats so no kitties for Buster Brown at this time.
Buster is up to date on vaccines and neutered.

| Madison adoption!
Meet Madison, a squishy marshmallow cream puff of a lab. Madison is about seven years old and a medium sized English Labrador Retriever.
We love this girls light cream coat and typical English demenor, calmness and smile. Wiggling and smiling are her specialties but that is just the beginning with this sweet, sweet Labrador.
Madison came to us with her owner was no longer able to care for her. She wanted her to find the very best home and we promised we would make that happen.
Madison is a beautifully bred girl with the light cream coat, blocky head, and otter tail. She has a beautiful confirmation and is ever so slightly on the chunky side. We think it is adorable. It will be easy to shad these few excess pounds now that she is on a good grain free food and getting daily playful exercise.
Madison is a typical English labrador with a perfect temperament. She is lightly playful and loves all of the other dog she has fostered with both big and small. She even loves the cats. We think she will do wonderfully with children and even chickens.
This gentle sweet and funny girl loves to play, loves to share toys with her foster siblings, and enjoys contemplating getting in the pool at her foster home. All the other dogs go in and swim and we don't think it will be long before Madison does too.
Madison walks beautifully off leash next to her person and will stay with the pack. However once on leash, she has a tendency to pull. She corrects easily as she is eager to please.
This angel loves every human and every animal. She has absolutely no aggression and is not possessive with food nor toys. She loves to be by her person and be pet or brushed. She is definitely a people dog but we do feel she'll do best in a home with one or two other friendly lightly playful dogs.
Madison sleeps through the night on her bed without a peep. She is housebroken and nondestructive in the home. She also rides nicely in the car. We have not been able to discover any bad habits at all! Madison knows her basic commands and will be happy to learn whatever you want to teach her.
We can see that Madison has had a couple of litters of puppies. We have no idea whatever happened to them. We hope they all found good homes. This calm sweet and playful girl is truly a star. Her new family will be very lucky.
Madison is a healthy girl who is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. All that's needed now is the very best home.

| Cherish adopted!
Meet Cherish, a truly beautiful English Labrador with a gorgeous cream coat, sweet face, adorable personality and a show quality conformation. This 6 year old darling is quite special. She has what we call "A-tempermament" meaning she can easily certify to be a therapy dog. She is bombproof with all dogs, cats, chickens, and small critters. She is very gentle and will do well with little children as well. Cherish
Cherish will make you smile when you look at her. Cherish is retired from a breeding program where she produced some unbelievable show quality puppies. Unfortunately her breeder did not appreciate what Cherish did and neglected her.
Cherish loves her walks and play time. She is a super mellow typical English Lab but is loving playing with her Labs and King Charles Cavalier’s that she is fostered with she is learning how to play and discovering what it is truly is like to be loved and CHERISHED!!!!
Cherish is fostered with a swimming pool. She likes and has even gone for a swim or two. Cherish is a stocky blocky girl with a thick otter tail, nice round cat paws, a blocky head, and a thick double Labrador waterproof coat. She has a nice reach of neck and wonderful conformation. She is stunningly beautiful, but her personality is the real treasure. Whoever is blessed enough to adopt her will have years and years of true love and companionship.
She will do her best with someone who has another friendly canine companion and is home a lot. We say this because she deserves a ton of attention after being locked up and ignored for so long. She holds no grudge and is as well adjusted and happy as can be.
Cherish is at a good weight and should not exceed it. She is on the medium size for a female.
She doesn't pull on the lead at all but she is learning to walk on the leash. Prior to us, she had never seen a real collar or leash other than a show lead used years ago when she was shown. She is so cute and will criss cross around but is learning to walk a nice straight line. She passes every dog and human beautifully.
If you are looking for a mellow low key dog who is housebroken, non-destructive, lightly playful and possibly do therapy work, She may be the one. She will settle down with you once she is in the house and is a natural when it comes to manners. She takes food gently and has zero anxiety or aggression. She is about as perfect as they come.
This beautiful girl is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and had her teeth cleaned and ears treated for an infection. She has had a full blood panel and urinalysis done. She is a healthy sweet girl.

| Brandy Adopted!
Meet Brandy - a purebred chocolate female lab of about 5-6 years old. She has a gorgeous chocolate coat and the sweetest temperament ever! Brandy came to us from an owner who could no longer keep her due to their living situation and work schedule. We are happy to help this girl as she is just pure sweetness and a pleasure to have in your family. Brandy gets along fabulously with all other dogs. She is currently fostered with 2 female labs and all the girls get along great. Brandy is not much for playing with other dogs, but she enjoys having them around. She is a submissive girl who is so easy going with dogs and people. This is one special girl her foster mom says! She is completely housebroken, uses the doggie door to go in and out and is non-destructive when left at home while her foster mom is at work. Brandy is a low to medium energy girl. She enjoys a couple walks a day and settles right in laying near you all day long. She is a perfect mellow companion! She might enjoy a short hike here or there, but she is not a running partner. Brandy isn't really into dog toys or bones and doesn't play fetch either - she mostly just loves looking cute and rolling over for belly rubs! Brandy rides great in the car and would love to go with you to run errands, vacations and more. She has even enjoyed a playdate in a friend's pool and she seems to enjoy swimming a lot! She went right in the water and loved playing with the other dogs in the water. Brandy is pure joy and sweetness. She is easy going, mellow and really loves her dog bed where she sleeps all night long and often can be found resting during the day as well. She is a gentle girl, gives kisses to her people and loves affection and belly rubs the most! One family will be so lucky to add this girl to their family. If you are looking for a mellow companion, Brandy could be your girl. Brandy is up to date on vaccinations, spayed & microchipped.

| Posey 2 adopted!
Meet Posie, a darling 1-2 year old, yellow female Labrador. This purebred angel is darling youngster and is so full of love!
Posie ended up at a high kill shelter with no one interested in her. We have no idea why as she has been nothing less than perfection in foster!
Posie is a petite little thing at only about 50 lbs. She is still growing but she should only be about 65 pounds when she is full grown which is still a nice smaller size for a Labrador.
She is lovely with all other dogs and is doing beautifully with her Labrador foster brother.
Posie is housebroken and sleeps soundly all night long on a dog bed in her foster parent's bedroom. She's a quiet girl and is on the calm side for a young Lab. She is young though and her new home will need to be certain she gets to dog park, dog beach or to other fun activities she deserves.
Posie walks fabulously on leash, almost never pulling, and is just a joy to walk! She is learning her commands and wants to please. She knows sit and takes treats nicely.
Posie will do her best in a home ready for a younger lab, where she will get exercise, love attention and some basic training. She is a super sweet girl who deserves a fabulous forever home!
Posie will do fine with children but we don't know about cats. So no kitties for this girl. Unfortunately we cannot place any dog in a home with cats if we have no knowledge of their behavior with them. Otherwise kitties are in danger and our dogs are in danger of being returned. We won't do that to a dog or a family. If you have cats, you will need to wait to apply for a dog that is fully cat tested.
Posie is vaccinated and spayed.

| Oliver 2 adopted!
Meet Oliver 2, an truly darling purebred yellow male Labrador! Oliver is 7 years old and have the most outstanding temperament.
Oliver is very beautiful. He has a pale buttery almost white coat and such a beautiful and sweet face. He's a gorgeous dog and what a lovely personality! He just oozes Labrador sweetness and is such a nice, nice boy. We feel that you cannot do better than this angel. He has so much love to give.
Oliver was purchased from a breeder as a puppy and has always been well-loved. His owner took excellent care of him and it shows. Unfortunately life changed and through no fault of his own, Oliver lost his home. His owner wanted only the best for him and so she contacted us.
Oliver is a gentleman and is very well behaved. He knows his basic commands and really wants to please his owner. He's a very good boy and is perfect in the house. He is housebroken and non-destructive.
Oliver has good energy and likes his walks. He walks beautifully with the gentle leader and easily corrects. He passes other dogs nicely and loves to say hello to everyone. He is a very good boy.
Oliver is wonderful with all other dogs. He really enjoys the company of other dogs and may enjoy a home with another friendly canine. He is getting along so well and realy enjoying his foster Labrador brother.
Oliver loves to retrieve and along with his daily walk, he would appreciate a few ball or toy tosses each day. He needs his daily exercise and he's a great retriever. He'll bring the ball or toy back and drop it at your feet.
Oliver is good with kids and would do fine in a home with children. We don't know about cats though so no kitties for Oliver.
Oliver is healthy, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Sunny Boy adopted!
Meet Sunny boy, a beautiful purebred male Labrador retriever. The shelter listed sunny as seven years old, but we think he is closer to six. Sunny is medium sized, and beautifully bred and easy going.
This sweet, calm angel is buttery yellow with a thick otter tail and big blocky head. He has the most darling expression to make your heart smile and it perfectly reflects his kind personality.
Sunny really does have the Labrafor temperament. He loves everyone and is wonderful with all dogs.
Sunny was dumped at a high kill loss Angeles County shelter last week by his owners who did not want him anymore. He was very scared and shy at the shelter and very unresponsive until we got him out. He was clearly confused about why he was there.
And his foster home Sunny has shown us to be a very good boy who only wants to please his person and get the occasional pet.
He is 100% housebroken, not destructive in the house, knows his commands, and just wants to please. He's a good boy on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. He is on the submissive side and enjoys being close to his people.
Sunny will do fine in a home with or without another friendly canine companion. He is the kind of dog you could take to work with you or who would like to lay by your feet while you work from home.
He's a good boy in the car and will ride shotgun while you run your errands. He likes to be near his person and he's a good boy where ever you go.
Sunny is wonderful with all dogs but we do not know how he will react to cats. So no homes with kitties for Sunny at this time.
Sunny will do fine with older children, but could knock a toddler over without meaning to.
Sunny is a healthy boy who is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, and micro chipped. All he needs now is the very best forever home. Will it be yours?

| Sarah adopted!
Meet Sarah, a darling 7 year old female yellow Labrador Retriever with a beautiful buttery coat and the sweetest face. This angel will steal your heart so fast.
Sarah was turned into a high kill shelter by her owners who didn't want her anymore. When we heard this and went to meet her, we were shocked that anyone could throw away such a gorgeous and easy going family Labrador. Sarah is the nicest girl and has so much love to give.
Initially she showed signs of neglect which is unsurprising considering the type of person who might throw a beautiful Lab away. She had never been spayed, was in heat, had a bit of an ear issue and was filthy. Now of course she is clean, spayed, and looking lovely.
Sarah is your typical perfect Labrador. She is kind, smart, and wants to please her people. She loves all humans and is great with all dogs. She knows basic commands and wants to make you happy.
Sarah is doing wonderfully in her farmette foster home! She has already made friends with the sheep on the farm and loves the children. However Sarah has been chasing the kitties so no kitties for Sarah. She seems ok with the chickens so long as they are in the coop but we are not sure about her with free ranging chickens given her propensity to chase felines! She has no malice, but simply enjoys a nice chase!
Sarah is a good girl in the house and not destructive. She loves being with her foster family and would love a home with lots of love.
Sarah will do fine with children and other dogs and likes being part of a family. She doesn't want to live her life in a yard isolated from her people. She deserves to be a true family member and she has the heart to do so.
Sarah is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready for her forever home. Will it be yours?

| Bloom adopted!
Meet Bloom, one of sweetest things you will ever meet! Spring is here and Bloom is in the air! Bloom is a 3 year old cream almost white full bred Labrador, she is as cute as they come!
Bloom came to us as no fault of her own, her owner could no longer give her the home that she deserved and asked us to find her a home. Bloom has had a few litters of puppies, which were gorgeous like Bloom. She was a good mom to her pups and now its her turn to be taken care of and adored. Bloom is becoming an all time favorite at her fosters home. She loves all dogs big and small and even is good with the cats she is fostered with. She is spending her days learning how to play and getting lots of attention wherever she goes.
Bloom is medium energy and would love a family who will include her in their activities, she would love long walks and trips to the dog park. She is learning to walk on a leash without pulling and a martingale collar and some good correction will make her a pro in no time. She would love to go on errands with her new family and rides nicely in the car. She would love going for a hike and then stopping at the coffee shop just to hang out with her family.
Bloom is not toy or food possessive and is learning what a toy is. She loves the antlers and kongs at her foster home. It isn’t a surprise when her foster mom finds several toys on her bed at the same time. Her new home should have lots of toys available for this girl.
Bloom seems to be housebroken but its important to take her out all the time until you learn to identify her cue to go out. Don't assume she will use a doggie door or open door either. Dogs need to learn their environment and get praise when they go potty outside to cement the adjustment all adopted dogs have when moving into a new home. She could have a potty accident. Her new owner should simply take her out all the time and she'll settle into the house perfection in a day or two.
Bloom is a good sleeper, sleeping through the night without a peep. She wants to sleep in your bedroom with you and not in another room so a lovely dog bed near yours is needed.
Bloom would do great with another canine companion to wrestle, play tug of war and just pal around with, she loves the dogs in his foster home now. She would only be considered a one and only dog for someone who is home most of the time and would provide her with good long walks, trip to the dog park or visits to the dog beach.
Bloom never had any training, so her new owner will need to work on the basis things, like sit, stay and down. A basis training course would be helpful for this and will also reinforce learning to walk on a leash. Bloom is eager to please and will be a joy to train and will make a strong bond with her new family.

| Hurley 2 adopted!
Meet Hurley, a super sweet, adorable purebred chocolate male Labrador of 5-6 years. This cuddle bear is the sweetest, calmest, and most lovely boy ever.
Hurley is great with other dogs both big and small. He is a submissive boy who loves other dogs. He loves his walks and does fine with a moderate walk or two each day. He is a medium to low energy level dog who doesn't need a ton of exercise but still is a playful boy who can do a nice hike if you want to. So he's the perfect mix of energy, playfulness, and mellow, calmness.
Hurley is pretty good on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. He can tend to pull on the leash in the beginning of his walk but does great after just a little bit. This easy going boy is just a joy. His calm nature and happy personality make him a wonderful boy to have around.
Hurley came to us from a very high kill shelter where he was in danger. When we met Hurley dogs were barking and it was a scary atmosphere for him, yet he wagged his tail and was so pleased to see us. After evaluating Hurley we knew we had a winner and we took him right away.
Hurley will do fine with children though any Lab can knock a toddler over without meaning to. He is completely housebroken and non-destructive when left. He has fabulous house manners and is just and easy boy to have around the home with you. In fact, he is so easy, he could even join you at work if you are so lucky to be able to bring him with you.
Hurley knows a few commands of sit and down and is a well behaved boy. Hurley is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He is just a wonderful, and adorable Lab who is looking for that perfect loving home he so deserves.

| Lady Bug 2 adopted!
Meet Ladybug! Ladybug is a beautiful purebred yellow female Labrador that is a pale cream colored Lab!
She is a gorgeous girl of about 7-8 years old with the loveliest temperament. Ladybug is on the smaller side at only 65 pounds! She loves her people and is as sweet as they come.
This girl is more than just looks though. She is a sweet, happy Lab who is easy going and settles well in the house, and a playful girl who is a pleasure to be with.
She loves all people, and will sit up in front of you for attention and affection! She is also known to gently stand up on her hind legs and put her front two paws on you if you ignore her - we think it's quite cute. Ladybug just loves every person she meets.
Ladybug is great with all other dogs. She is fostered with two female labs and they all get along great! Ladybug has also spent time with a few small dogs and is just perfect with them too! She is really great with every dog she meets. But no kitties for her as she really enjoys chasing cats way too much.
Ladybug is completely housebroken and sleeps soundly on the floor next to her foster parent's bed all night long. She is well mannered in the house and loves to be anywhere you are. She would love a home where her people are home more often than not. Or she would enjoy going to work with you, if you are so lucky - she is so well mannered, she could go anywhere with you, such as running errands, kids sporting events, coffee shops and more. She loves car rides and is such a calm, good girl in the car.
Ladybug loves her toys - especially soft toys. She has found her favorite toy at her foster home and takes it everywhere with her! She carries it from room to room and sleeps next to it as well. She is also a lover and a cuddler and would love to snuggle with you on the couch while you relax. She is a medium energy girl, who would love a couple walks a day, a short game of fetch, or even some tug of war with her favorite toy. She doesn't play much with her foster labbie siblings, but she does seem to enjoy their company. We think Ladybug would do well as your one and only or with a doggie companion, but would be happiest in a home where she can spend lots of time with her human family. Ladybug takes treats very gently and eats her food very well next to her foster siblings with no issues. She would be a great addition to almost any family. Ladybug has been known to counter surf on the kitchen counters, so important that her new family doesn't leave any food or valuables within reach on the counters. Many Lab families know this behavior very well and this girl is no exception. She can also be a little bit skittish with loud noises, but is becoming more comfortable every day.

| Paddington adopted!
Meet Paddington! This is our newest cuddle bear who is just the nicest boy. Paddington is an 8 year old purebred Labrador Retriever. He is jet black with a nice otter tail and he loves his ball.
Did we mention that he loves his ball? Yes, well he does.
Paddington comes to us from a very high kill shelter where he was taken as a stray. He was in danger there and he was not doing well so we got him out, to the vet for some ear treatments and a good exam and then we followed up with a nice grooming. He's feeling much better now and he looks so handsome!
Paddington is a very good boy who is good with other dogs and all humans. He's not particularly playful with other dogs but he sure loves to retrive. Paddi will fetch the ball over and over and never stop. He drops it at your feet and if you don't throw it for him, he'll pick it up and drop it again at your feet until you do. Paddi will retriever until you take the ball away. He is ball-obsessed but once you put the ball away, he's over it and forgets about it.
Paddi is housebroken and uses the doggie door to go outside to potty. He is good in the house and likes to be near you.
Paddington does not like to be left alone outside when he knows you are home. If he knows you are inside, he will bark to come inside until you let him in. He wants to be near you. He is fine outside if you are also gone. But if you are home he wants to come in.
He will do best in a home where someone is arround much of the time or where there is another dog as he really enjoys company and companionship and he also will do great with kids - especially kids who like to throw the ball!
Paddington knows his commands of sit, stay, come, and down. He is also fairly good on leash and passes other dogs nicely. He needs at least 2 good walks a day for exercise.
Paddi is a healthy boy who is up to date on his vaccines, neutered, and micrcohipped.

| Miranda adopted!
Meet Miranda, a happy, wiggly, and sweet purebred yellow female Labrador of just about 4 years. She has the trademark lab wiggle and tail wag too!
Miranda is a darling pale yellow purebred with a sweet face and equally sweet disposition. She loves everyone and has a nice playful energy about her as she picks up and plays with her toys and brings them to you. In fact she loves to carry soft toys around in her mouth everywhere she goes. She doesn't squeak them, but just loves to carry them with her!
Miranda is great with other dogs. She will go for the ball a bit and loves to just romp around and make friends. And she rides beautifully in the car with other foster labs on outings. She is a really great car rider in general, she just lays down to enjoy the ride.
Miranda is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house. She is a tad overweight at 80 lbs. She will do best at her ideal weight of 70 lbs and is a very healthy girl. As she gets more exercise and into her routine, coupled with good food, she will easily get to her ideal weight.
Miranda came to us from a local shelter. We will never know how such a beautiful girl ended up on the hard shelter floor with no one to claim her.
Miranda will do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. She would like a lot of attention and love. She is currently fostered with two other female labs and they all do great together!
Miranda will need her daily exercise like a good walk or dog park and then will do great settling into the house. She is completely housebroken and has nice manners. She hasn't even tried to get on furniture in her foster home! She settles really well and would enjoy just hanging out with you wherever you are. She is even starting to learn the doggie door in her foster home - good girl!
Miranda has spent some time around a young baby of under a year old and has done great with her, so we do think she would do well in a home with children. But of course we would prefer a home with kids over age 5, as any large breed dog can knock a toddler down.
Miranda is a good girl in the house or car and settles nicely. Her new family will want to supply lots and lots of toys as she loves them so.
This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her.
Miranda is a healthy girl who is up to date on shots, spayed and microchipped.

| Sabine adopted!
Meet Sabine, a darling 1 year old, Golden Retriever puppy. This purebred angel is juat a baby and is so full of love!
Sabine was abandoned by her family after having a litter of puppies. We suppose they kept a puppy and got rid of Sabine even though Sabine is a puppy herself. Lucky for her, we scooped her up as soon as we were legally permitted to do so and now she is doing wonderfully in her loving foster home.
Sabine is a petite little thing at only about 50 lbs. She won't grow much more and will stay pocket sized which we think is too adorable!
She is lovely with all other dogs and is doing beautifully with her two Labrador foster brothers who she enjoys playing with and sharing toys with.
Sabine is crate trained and sleeps in her crate the whole night through. She's a quiet girl and is on the calm size for a puppy. She is young though and her new home will need to be certain she gets to dog park, dog beach or to other fun activities she deserves.
Sabine is learning her commands and wants to please. She knows sit and takes treats nicely She is already fully housebroken after just a few days!
Sabine will do her best in a home where she will get plenty of other dog enrichments, walks, attention, and love. Also at her age, she needs training. Her new home will need to work on more commands, leash work and other skills all young dogs must master to be solid citizens.
Sabine will do fine with children but we don't know about cats.
Sabine is a heatlhy girl who has been groomed, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.

| Holt adopted!
Meet Holt, an adorable 4-5 year old chocolate boy who has the nicestly personality and sweetest heart!
Holt is a beautful Chocolate Labby boy who was picked up as a stray. The shelter felt certain someone would come for him due to his being such a very nice boy and so friendly, but no one ever came. We knew we had to help him the second we met him because this fella is just too wonderful!
Holt is great with other dogs and humans. He love to play with his Labby foster brother and he gets on beautifully with dogs in general. He would do find with another friendly and even a playful canine companion.
Holt is learning his commands. He knows sit and is learning down, stay, and others. He really wants to please his humans and it shows. He's easy to train and easy to handle.
Holt is a very good boy in the house. He settles easily and is well behaved. He doesn't mark and has been totally housebroken. He is non-destructive in the house although he shows a propensity for eating flip-flops so please put your flip-flops away. I guess they just seem like fun to him!
Holt is a good boy on his walks. He is still pulling a bit on the leash at first so his new owner will want to use a pinch collar or a gentle leader with him as he learns. He corrects easily and passes other dogs nicely.
Holt loves to eat. He is underweight and it putting on weight now. He may have been on the lose for awhile before the shelter picked him up as he needs to gain a good 10 lbs! Meanwhile if you are not looking, he may steal your snack in his true Labby fashion!!! It's hard for a labby boy to pass up a treat!
Holt is a good boy during the night and sleeps all the way through. In the morning, he goes outside to potty and romp a bit before breakfast. He is a nice family boy.
Holt is a medium energy boy. He needs his daily walks and maybe a dog park trip, beach trip or other play activity. He will love meeting other playful dogs and is a fun guy to take around.
We think he'll do best with some continued light training to be perfect on leash and on his commands. He has a great temperament.
We think he'll do fine with older children too. He seems to like everyone!
We do not know how Holt will do with kitties so not cats for this fella for now.
Holt is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. All he needs now is the most loving fur-ever home! Wil it be yours?

| Kate adopted!
Meet Kate, a sleek, black beauty, female Labrador. She's a stunning purebred girl with the darkest jet black coat and warm, burnt sugar eyes. Her beauty cannot be denied!
Kate is just 3 years old and on a mellow side with medium energy when the ball comes out. True to her breed, this girl loves to retrieve and she will bring the ball back to you and give it nicely.
Kate is well behaved, non-destructive, housebroken, and settles beautifully in the house. She is a wonderful indoor companion who loves to be close to you. She adores cuddling with her person and would even like to sleep next to you if she were allowed. Did we mention she loves to give you a kiss now and then as well?
Kete is on the shy side initially. At times when seeing new people, she will growl low and back away. But she is not aggressive at all and warms up quick. She must have had to be afraid at some point and is learning now just how nice people are. Sometimes she will bark at strangers as well. But again, she warms up quick when introduced. For this reason, we feel she is best in an adult home even though she is absolutely perfect with children.
Kate is very good with other dogs but doesn't realy like to play with them. She prefers humans. She may enjoy being an only dog - especially if you are home much of the time. She will also do fine with another dog and would prefer a dog who is not playful but just a mellow companion.
Kate loves her walks on leash but can pull a bit, especially in the beginning. Her new owner will want to work with her on corrections. Kate walks much nicer with a pinch collat. She is a nice walking buddy and loves to be with you whatever you do.
Kate is still coming around in foster. She is less shy and stressed every day and settling nicely. Her new owners will want t give her time to settle into their home and get used to all the smells, sounds, and sights.
Kate is super soft and silky. When you pet her she just loves it. She is quite a lover and has more love to give than you can imagine. She is a wonderful best friend.
Kate is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Mumford adopted!
Meet Mumford, a stunningly handsome and beautifully bred purebred Labrador male. Mumfords sleek jet black coat and burnt sugar eyes make him a sight to behold and his personality makes him one of the nicest dogs around.
Mumford is a 4 - 5 year old male of perfect size and weight. He has lovely conformation with a block head, thick otter tail, cat paws, and a very nice broad skull and stop. He has a nice coat too and is a really good looking boy. Mumford meets the breed standard weight of about 85 lbs.
This fella is a fairly calm dog. He's on the mellow side but can have energy for things like walks and hikes too and he likes the ball and retrieving. He's a great all around dog to take on hikes or walks or dog beach. He walks perfectly on lead and heals, stops, and stays in step.
Mumford is completely housebroken and non-destructive in his foster home. He sleeps through the night and is respectful in the house.
This boy knows "sit" and "down". He is happy to sit for you but promply falls on the floor asking for a belly rub. And he loves to be pet and cuddled.
Mumford has a nice strong otter Labby tail that wags and wags. In true Labby fashion, he lets you know you are his world and he is happy.
Mumford does great with his foster Labby brother but we feel he will do equally well as an only dog. He can have a canine companion or not. He just wants a great home. We don't know about cats though, so no kitties for this big fella.
Mumford deserves a great indoor home where he can be truly loved and adored. He came to us from a high kill shelter and showed signs of neglect. We never want him to experience that again. He deserves much more - especially when you consider his beautiful submissive temperament.
Mumford should do fine with children though we do prefer children over age 6.
Mumford is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. All he needs now is the most loving home.

| Olivia adopted!
Meet Olivia, a beatiful, one-year-old female Labrador puppy who is also the mommy of the 9 chocolate Lab puppies we have for adoption. Just a puppy herself, this little gal has done an amazing job a mommy to 9 little cuties and has shown herself to be truly a perfect dog.
Olivia is a purebred chocolate Labrador with a smaller, petite frame. She is a very beautiful girl and has a wonderful, easy-going temperament.
Olivia is playful and has energy, but settles beautifully in the house. She is absolutely wonderful wth all other dogs and all humans. She adores going in the car with her foster family and equally enjoys a walk, romp, or cuddle on the couch. She is a truly lovely family pet.
Olivia is extremely young to have had a litter of pups. We got her and her mate (another chocolate Lab who is since adopted) when Olivia was already very pregnant. In fact she deliverd her litter within 24 hours of us taking posession of her!!! That was cutting it close! Her and her mates owners were overwhelmed with th dogs and their lives at the time and the accidental pregnancy took place without preparation. We have happy the dogs came to us so that we could be certain of the fate of all the babies and their mom.
Olivia has shown us that she is a tolerant patient dog who really loves humans and other dogs. She never had a problem with her babies being handled of the other foster dogs being near. Now that that puppies are old enough to go to new homes, it's time for Olivia - just a puppy herself - to fine her forever home as well.
Olivia will need to wait about 7 weeks until she can be spayed. Her new owners can bring her to our vet for spay at our expense or they may use their own veterinarian at their expense. It is a condition of the adoption that Olivia be spayed and proof given to us.
Olivia is houseborken and knows her basic commands. She is good on the leash, wonderful in the house, and good with kids and all humans. She would love a home where someone is around much of the time, or where there is another younger playful friendly dog for company. She has never been an only dog.
Oliva is not tested with cats, so no kitties for this angel.
She will need to be given her rabies vaccination at spay as well as get her microchip.
There are few young puppies of a year with this mild temperament. Olivia is exceptional!

|
| Chocolate Puppies adopted!
Meet our 9 delicious chocolate darlings! These little purebred Labrador bunnies will be 8 weeks old and permitted to go to new home on May 30.
Our puppies came from heaven to us when we rescued their mommy who was already extremely pregnant. Their daddy, also a chocolate purebred Labrador, was adopted right away. Their mommy Olivia, will be available for adoption shortly as well. She is a puppy herself at only a year of age. Very sad that her owners allowed her to get pregnant too young, but they didn't spay and neuter quickly enough and the pregnancy was an accident.
The puppies consist of 5 little girls and 4 little boys. We will be lining up approved families to meet and take their puppy home on the 30th of this month.
Puppies are a huge commitment. We expect at least one person to be home most of the time in a new puppy home as puppies cannot be expected to be alone or outside all day. New owners must have a crate to start with and must consider that the crate size will change over time. Consider a cat carrier to start perhaps or borrow one until puppy is a little bigger.
Puppies will have had worming and vaccine prior to adoption. They will need two more rounds of vaccine before they can go into the outside world or meet other dogs. Parvo and Distemper will kill a puppy and they will NOT have adequate protection from this life-threatening illnesses until they have recieved ALL of their puppy shots. Shots are given 3 weeks apart and your veterinarian will explain more to you about immunizations.
The puppies will go out on a spay/neuter waiver requiring a signed agreement by the adopter. Adopters must spay and neuter their puppy at their expense by 6 months and provide proof to us of same. A spay/neuter deposit will be taken and will be refunded upon providing proof of sterilization.
Puppies cry, destroy, chew, and basically cause all manner of annoyance and destruction. They are quite a bother even though they are adorable. Entering into puppy ownership should not be taken lightly. Puppies will wake you up in the middle of the night to go out, they will eat your shoes, they will potty everywhere, they will teethe and bite you through your skin over and over with their little needle teeth. In a nutshell, one must accept that God made puppies cute for a reason because otherwise no one would have one! They can be that difficult!
We want our puppy adopters to realize how hard owning a puppy can be. The first 6 weeks the puppy is with you, they cannot go anywhere without being exposed to disease. This means no neighborhood walks, or dog park, or anywhere where other dogs have been. It also means housebreaking and crating and buying tons and tons of chew toys, bully sticks, and other items. And above all, it means hiding your shoes!
Puppies cannot go to home with little children. Lab puppies are insanely mouthy and remain so for up to 2 years. They will "bite" everyone and little kids tend to get hurt. This is more so when the dog reaches 7-8 months up to 2 years when kids tell mommy they were bitten when a Lab simply mouthed them and left a red mark. We can't put our puppies in situations where they might be returned down the road.
If you have been approved to adopt and you feel you are ready to take on a life long commitment which starts with a very time consuming puppy, let us know!
You will be required to adopt and take your puppy home on May 30th at our adoption puppy day!

| Bunny Love adopted!
Meet Bunny Love, a happy, wiggly, and sweet purebred yellow female Labrador of just about 4 years. This beauty has a light cream colored coat and is as soft as butter! She is a nice size at about 75 pounds.
Bunny Love came to us from a high kill shelter. Thank goodness our volunteer scooped her up because we quickly learned she had completely torn her ACL and required surgery. We immediately got Bunny Love to our best orthopedic vet and had her TPLO surgery completed. Bunny love has recovered beautifully and is now completely healed! She had her final checkup with her surgeon and was given the go ahead for normal exercise.
Bunny Love is great with other dogs and loves to play with them. She would really love a home with another dog and playtime with other dogs regularly. She will go for the ball a bit and loves to just romp around and make friends. And she rides beautifully in the car.
Bunny Love is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house after her exercise. She would love a long walk, a hike, playtime with other dogs or a chance to swim each and every day.
Bunny will do best in a home with another dog as she just loves other dogs so much. She is great with all other dogs she meets. She also loves all people and LOVES attention and affection from everyone she meets. A home where her people are around more often would be great for her as she really loves her people and any time she can spend with them. She wants all the attention she can get.
Bunny Love will do well with children, but she can be mouthy when she is playing and asking for attention, and can easily knock a child down when she gets excited, so children over age 7 would be best for her. She is a well mannered girl, and wants to please her person, but doesn't have much training. She would love to do some obedience training with her family so she can learn her basic commands. She would even enjoy a doggie obedience class. Bunny pulls a bit on leash, so does best with a training collar and some reminders from her person to walk with you, not ahead of you - silly girl.
We don't know how Bunny Love will do with cats, so no kitties for her at this time.
Bunny Love is completely housebroken. She does pretty well when left, but has been known to chew up shoes that are left by the front door so her new family will want to make sure all shoes are put away around Bunny. She really is a good girl in the house and car and settles nicely. Her new family will want to supply lots and lots of toys and chew toys like nylabones, rawhides, and bully sticks to keep her amused.
Bunny Love is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and completely healed from her TPLO surgery. Our surgeons and vets have both cleared her to find her forever family.
This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her.

| Dutch adopted!
Meet Dutch! Oh what a lovely boy! Dutch is the cutest, sweetest boy in the world. He is a beautiful purebred yellow male lab of 6-7 years with no dew claws. He weighs about 80 lbs and is a really nice size for a male Labrador.
Dutch loves other dogs and loves people. He has fabulous doggie manners and does wonderfully with all other dogs he meets both big and small. Dutch came to us from a local high kill shelter. He found himself there when his owner turned him in because his roommate was allergic. Poor Dutch became very sad and got sick while he was at the shelter. We were alerted to him when he became ill and we found him sad and depressed laying on the shelter floor. We rescued him, got him a nice bath and had him treated at our vet. He is now happy and healthy and ready for a new forever home where he won't be given up ever again. Dutch is pretty good on the leash, but pulls a little. He is best walked with a training collar until he learns to stay right with you. He loves his walks and gets excited when you get the leash out to take him for a walk!
Dutch is very well mannered in the house and is completely housebroken. However any new dog must be watched in their new home until they learn your routine.
He has been left for short periods of time uncrated and has done very well. He has not barked at all yet.
Dutch is well trained and knows his commands! He knows sit, down, and comes when called all the time! What a good boy! Dutch is a total lover. He loves being with his people. He will sit right up next to you to be pet and may even find himself on your lap if you let him.
We do not know how Dutch would do with cats so we will not place him with them. He loves belly scratches and play time (ball time) outside with his people. He enjoys the car and is very well behaved. He just sits down for the entire ride - happy to go anywhere you are going. Dutch is a medium energy boy who is sweet and loving with a goofy, silly part of him as well. He will make any family so happy - with his loving temperament and his silly side keeping you laughing as well. Dutch would do well as your one and only, or with another doggie companion.
Dutch is now healthy, up to date on vaccines, and neutered.

Meet Molly, a darling dark chocolate Labby girl of about 5-6 years of age. She is adorably petite, easy going girl and such a lover.
Molly is a very dark chocolate. In fact, she is almost black! Her coat is very shiny and her eyes are bright and she is so pretty. Her petite frame makes her extra darling and everyone who meets her wants to cuddle and pet her!
Molly is mellow and low key but will also play and have fun. She is mellow as they come but will still jog with you if you like. She is the perfect mix of fun and easy. She is a wonderful in the house and likes to be near where you are. She is housebroken, non-destructive and wants to please.
Molly loves to be near her person or people. She loves her walks especially and is perfect on the leash. She does not pull and will walk at your pace. if you slow down that's ok and if you speed up it's ok too. She's an excellent walking buddy but also will jog with you or stroll. Whatever pace you like, Molly will comply!
Molly is doing wonderfully in her foster home with her foster mom and even her foster mom's elderly grandmother who Molly is gentle and loving toward. She is doing beautifully with her foster mom's resident male Labrador as well, although Molly really wants to be the only dog in the household and the center of your world.
Molly will do best in a home as an only dog and where she will get plenty of love. She would also do fine with another dog who is not dominant and preferable male. She's so easy to have around and wlll be perfect on days when you are home or not and when you can do nice walks or not too. She's just as happy watching a movie or laying by your feet but she does love her walks so much as well.
Molly will do fine with kids or seniors or even elderly people. She just loves people!
We do not know about cats, so no kitties for Molly at this time.
Molly is healthy and happy with a constant smile, wag and will lay on her back for belly rubs.

| Floyd adopted!
Meet Floyd, an adorable purebred yellow male Labrador Retriever of just 3 years of age. This young beautiful Labrador is gorgeous and needs the very best home.
Floyd came to us from one of the highest kill shelters in the county where he was impounded as a stray. He was very sick with an upper respiratory infection and had not been eating at the shelter due to stress and depression. He was in horrible shape. Lucky for Floyd our volunteer met him and brought him to safety as soon as we could get him into our program.
Floyd is better from his cold and eating well but he is still underweight and needs to gain at least 15 lbs to be the solid and strong male Labby boy he will be.
Floyd is a buttery yellow fella with burnt sugar eyes and a sweet expression. He's a young boy who had plenty of Labby spunk and energy and wants to be a best buddy.
This guy needs a home where he will get the training and exercisse all young Labs need. He still pulls on the leash a bit so needs to be walked with a pinch collar or gentle leader. Hell walk nicely with you with the pinch collar on. He would love his daily long brisk walk each cay and would enjoy weekend hikes or playdates.
Floyd has learned sit and is being crate trained. His new owners will want to work with him on all his commands and maybe do a young canine obedience class as well. Floyd wants to please his person but no one has shown him what to do. His new owners will help him grow into the solid canine citizen he wants to be. He's a very, very good boy!!!
Floyd is a good boy in the car and seems to be already housebroken. He has been known to counter surf looking for goodies so his new owner will want to keep clean and clear tables and counter tops to continue his training. Most Labradors love people food and once they find out it's readily available on a counter top, they will keep going back until they realize there is nothing there to eat. Keeping clean counters and tables will cure this behavior quickly and completely. All Labbies love food!
Floyd is a playful fella who will need a few good chew toys and bones about. Nylabones are great as are bully sticks! he is just past puppyhood at age 3 or younger and so he'll want to play, chew, fetch and retrieve as he well should.
Floyd is a wonderful boy. He's stunningly handsome has a nice family dog permsonality and wants to please. No little children or cats for Floyd since he's a young boy who may knock a little one down or chase a kitty. But we do think he will be great with older kids.
Floyd is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Will he be yours?

| Bon Bon adopted!Meet Bon Bon! Bon Bon is a petite, adorable 4-5 year old chocolate girl with an adorable smile. Her smaller size makes her even more darling! Bon Bon is a pretty dark chocolate treat with an adorable face and an even more adorable shape and size. She is just about 55 lbs which is nice if you like a more petite Labby. She loves everyone and loves to cuddle, be pet, and gaze into your eyes. Bon Bon came to us from an inland shelter where she was picked up as a stray. She must have been so scared waiting for her owners who never came. She was kenneled with another dog and made friends so at least she had some company. Needless to say, our volunteer scooped her to safety as soon as we were informed he was there. Bon Bon is doing wonderfully in her foster home where she is fostered with two male Labradors and a female Lab mix. She would love a submissive and friendly canine companion or to be your one and only! Bon Bon is a darling sized, medium energy lab who is wonderful to be with. She loves retrieving her ball and will bring it back! She loves her walks and walks nicely on leash. She can't wait to come home with you! Bon Bon gets on well with other dogs and seems to enjoy their company. She will do well with a friendly canine companion who is more submissive since she can at times be a tad bossy as most females can be. But she really does love other dogs! Bon Bon would love a home where she can get lots of walks and ball tosses and tons of cuddling. She is on the velcro side and loves her people. She is also pretty mellow and likes to settle at your feet. No cats for this angel as he has not been cat tested. No exceptions. Bon Bon loves to be near her person and will follow you from room to room. She loves to be close and is a real lover. We think she'll do find with kids over ages 8-9 but could unintentionally knock them down with her wiggly waggly tail. Bon Bon is spayed and up to date on his vaccines. If you feel this doll baby is right for you and you have been home checked and approved, you may email donna@indilabrescue.org to learn more

| Lorelai adopted!
Meet Lorelai, a beautiful truly English Labrador with a gorgeous white coat, sweet face, adorable personality and a show quality conformation.
This 7 year old darling is quite special. She has what we call "A-tempermament" meaning she can easily certify to be a therapy dog. She is bombproof with all dogs, cats, chickens, and small critters. She is very gentle and will do well with little children as well.
Lorelai smiles when you look at her. She is a very happy girl even though she has had a sad and neglectful few last years. You can see on her nose a scar from trying to dig her way out of a kennel which was her permanent home for the last 4 years. She was locked up and isolated which is not the norm for a dog of her calibur.
Lorelai is retired from a breeding program where she produced some unbelievable show quality puppies. Unfortunately her breeder did not appreciate what Lorelai did and neglected her.
Lorelai fell off her dog house years ago and hurt both back legs. The owner did nothing to vet her them and they healed on their own, because of this, Lorelai walks a little gimpy now and then after too much exercise, but she gets around great and takes a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (doggie aspirin) for inflammation!
Lorelai loves her walks and play time. She is a super mellow typical English Lab but is loving playing with her foster Labby sister who is a chocolate Lab. And she likes following her foster sister around.
Lorelai is fostered with a swimming pool. She likes it but isn't nuts over it although she did fine swimming and getting out the few times she fell in. Silly girl.
Lorelai is a stocky blocky girl with a thick otter tail, nice round cat paws, a blocky head, and a thick double Labrador waterproof coat.
Lorelai is at a good weight and should not exceed it. In fact she can loose a bit more if you like.
If you are looking for a mellow low key dog who is housebroken, non-destructive, lightly playful and who can do therapy work if that is yor gig, She may be the one. She will likely need to be on NSAIDS the rest of her life on and off if she gets painful from overdoing it. So her new family must commit to keeping her in nice physical shape and able to provide her yearly bloodwork and exams to be sure she can continue on her doggie aspirin when needed.
This beautiful is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and ha had her teeth cleaned and ears treated for an infection. She has been xrayed and had a full blood panel and urinalysis done. She is a healthy sweet girl.

| Snuggles adopted!
Meet Snuggles, this cream puff of a Labrador will steal your heart and all you will want to do is Snuggle with her.
Snuggles is about eight years young and a stunningly beautiful English purebred Labrador Retriever. We love this girl's light cream coat and typical English demenor, calmness and gentle nature. Wiggling and smiling are her specialties but that is just the beginning with this sweet, sweet marshmallow love bug.
Snuggles is from an excellent blood line of English Labs. She is beyond perfection, with her looks and personality. Snuggles was a show and breeding dog in her previous life and has been retired from showing and breeding. Her handler wanted Snuggles to get a fully screened loving home, since Snuggles was a great mother to all of her pups. It's now time for Snuggles to get all the love and attention she deserves.
We made the promise that we would find her only the best home as we do for all of our dogs.
Snuggles is a beautifully bred girl with a light cream coat, big blocky head, and the most unbelievable otter tail. She has a beautiful show confirmation. We think it is adorable.
Snuggles is on a high quality grain free food and getting daily exercise in her foster home. Snuggles is lightly playful and loves all of the other dogs she has fostered with both big and small. She even loves the cats. We think she will do wonderfully with children and even chickens.
This gentle sweet girl is learning to play and understanding that she is loved, and is been contemplating getting in the pool at her foster home. All the other dogs go in and swim and we don't think it will be long before Snuggles does too.
Snuggles walks on a leash beautifully. She's a dream. She is learning her house manners and house breaking and doing great. Her new family will need to continue to work with this angel and she is eager to please.
Snuggles sleeps through the night on her bed without a peep. She is nondestructive in the home. She also rides nicely in the car. We have not been able to discover any bad habits at all! Snuggles is learning her basic commands and will be happy to learn whatever you want to teach her.
Snuggles would do best as a one and only or with another friendly canine companion. Her new family will be very lucky.
Snuggles is a healthy girl who is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. All that's needed now is the very best home.
