| Bunny adoptedLovingly sponsored by Sunny Nenninger, who goes by Bunny sometimes and Robin NenningerMeet Bunny, a happy, wiggly, and sweet purebred yellow English female Labrador of just about 4 years old. Bunny is a darling pale yellow/white purebred with a sweet face and equally sweet disposition. She loves everyone and has a nice playful energy about her as she picks up and plays with her toys and brings them to you. Bunny is great with other dogs, both big and small. She really enjoys playing with her foster labbie sisters and loves playing with her doggie toys too! She just adores carrying a toy around in her mouth at all times, everywhere she goes! Bunny is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house. She is currently at a nice weight of about 65 pounds. Bunny came to us from a high kill shelter just outside Los Angeles. Just shocking how a dog this sweet can end up in such a scary place. This is hard to even imagine because of how beautiful and lovely this girl is. Bunny came to us from a shelter where there are many, many breeders and an enormous number of dogs are euthanized every year due to overpopulation. This poor girl was almost one of them. Bunny loves her people, so she will do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. She would just love a home where she will get a lot of attention and love. Bunny will need her daily exercise like a good walk or dog park and then will do great settling into the house. She would love to play fetch regularly too! She is completely housebroken and has nice manners - even using the doggie door already! Bunny walks very nicely on leash, rarely ever pulling at all, so she really is a joy to walk. Bunny loves her people so much, if you sit on the floor with her, she might just try to climb into you lap and give you lots of kisses. She knows her command of "sit" and really wants to please, so will learn her other commands quickly. Bunny is a good girl in the house or car and settles nicely. Her new family will want to supply lots and lots of toys and chewy toys like stuffed toys (which she may likely enjoy tearing apart more than anything - silly girl)... and nylabones and more. This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her. Bunny is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. If you would like to add Bunny to your family, be sure you have an application to adopt on file and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Flower adoptedLittle Flower is the cutest ever! Flower is a small purebred Labrador female who is the cutest little thing! She's a yellow female who has the happiest, sweet spirit and is just DARLING! We love Flower! Her favorite things are wiggling on her back, playing with rope doggie toys and getting belly rubs from people! Flower is small! She is a short, stocky English Lab of about 60 pounds. She lays with her back legs out like a little froggy and is so darn cute you can't stand it! She is about 8 years old and came to us from a local shelter where she came in with puncture wounds all along her back. Her wounds were promptly treated and she is recovering fabulously! Her wounds have scabbed over, and her hair is growing back and she even likes to be pet on her back, with no pain at all. Flower gets along great with other dogs and enjoys her foster brother - a younger, calm labbie boy. She enjoys her walks around the neighborhood and walks really well on leash. She is a very sweet girl. She is great on the leash!!! She is a very easy going girl in the house when you are home with her. She likes to lay around or carry her toys or sleep. She's quiet and non-destructive. She is housebroken too! Her foster mommy is just loving having her. She can be found searching the counters for food, which is typical of any lab. Flower has such a happy, wiggly spirit. While she is a calm girl, and settles great around the house, she also brings smiles and happiness wherever she goes as she just seems to be so happy to be alive! Flower will do great in a home with other doggie companions or as your one and only. She would likely do fabulous with children too. We don't know how she would do around cats at this time, so no kitties for Flower in her new home. This little, pleasingy spring Flower will make someone the perfect FURever pup. She is quite the adorable funny Lab and has a lot of love to share. She sleeps soundly all night long on her doggie bed and does well during the day when her family is at work too. Flower is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She even had her teeth cleaned when she got spayed! If you would like to give Flower a fabulous forever home, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Mollie adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Barb MarshMeet Mollie, the cutest, most petite English Labby. Mollie is a purebred Labrador Retriever and is a show quality girl. She has perfect conformation and the sweetest personality you will ever know. Mollie is almost 5 years old and she is quite petite in size though stocky (as a Lab should be) and solid. She probably weighs about 70 lbs but looks like a 50 lb-er. Mollie came to us with her chocolate sister coco (shown in one of the photos here) when her family turned her in due to a move out of state to a different situtaion and decided to get Cavaliers to breed instead of Labradors. Her owners were breeding her and her sister Coco (also for adoption) and you can see that Molly has recently had a litter. We feel bad for Mollie and her sister Coco as they had been living their lives outside and only realy used to make puppies. Mollie and her sister Coco both have perfect extremely mellow temperaments - you can call them therapy quality dogs. They are both couch potatoes and are quiet and calm. Mollie is in pretty decent shape as having recently done a litter she was likely given some inside access over the last 2 months while Coco was not and as such she has a dry sun bleached coat and dermatitis. Mollie is a very sweet, easy going girl. She walks nicely on the leash but is more of a mosey-er than a walker. She would love to be a therapy dog. She is excellent with cats as well and is perfect as is her sister with ALL dogs no matter the situation. Mollie's only fault is she likes her treats too much. She very much tries to take your hand off to get the cookie! This is an easy fix with practice. She is also still learning her commands and being potty trained. So far so good. She is not up on all these things becuase she was an outside breeding dog so she is learning them now. The important thing with a dog however is the temperament. And that is something this dog has in spades. She is a fabulous dog. Mollie has been spayed and is up to date on vaccines. We would liek Mollie to go to a home where she will be adored and spoiled. Never left outside again but with full run of the house as she deserves. Though we will consider all homes for her, preference may be given to a fabulous home that will adopt Mollie and Coco together as they are really quite wonderful togehter and no trouble. Also we will have to consider cat homes since they are so good with the kitties. That said we realize we may need to split them so please apply if you feel you have the right home! If you are already an approved home, please feel free to contact donna@indilabrescue.org

Coco 6 adoption pending!Lovingly sponsored by Barb MarshMeet Coco, a dreamy, extremely specail English Labby. Coco is a purebred Labrador Retriever and is a show quality chocolate Lab though she doesn't reveal this at first glance due to a lot of negect. She has perfect conformation and the sweetest personality you will ever know. Coco is 5 years old and she is stocky (as a Lab should be) and solid. She has a gorgeous block head and in a short period on good food with an indoor life, she will be THE most stunning dog in the neighborhood. She is a beauty. Coco came to us with her white sister Mollie (shown in one of the photos here) when her family turned her in due to a move out of state to a different situtaion and decided to get Cavaliers to breed instead of Labradors. Her owners were breeding her and her sister Mollie (also for adoption) and you can see that Mollie has recently had a litter. We feel bad for Coco as she has been living her whole life outside and only realy used to make puppies. Her actually color is a VERY dark chocolate per the breed standard. You can see this in her ears. However the rest of her is so sun bleached from living outdoors that she is very light and her fur is very coarse. In a few months her coat will be soft and extremely dark and shiny. Coco and her sister Mollie both have perfect extremely mellow temperaments - you can call them therapy quality dogs. They are both couch potatoes and are quiet and calm. Mollie is in pretty decent shape as having recently done a litter she was likely given some inside access over the last 2 months while Coco was not and as such she has a dry sun bleached coat and dermatitis. She is missing hair on her tail from flea dermatis having not been given flea medication. This of course will grown back. Mollie is a very sweet, easy going girl. She walks nicely on the leash but is more of a mosey-er than a walker. She would love to be a therapy dog. She is excellent with cats as well and is perfect as is her sister with ALL dogs no matter the situation. Coco's and Mollies only faults are that they do not take their treats very gentle. They want the cookie! This is an easy fix with practice. Both girls are still learning their commands and being potty trained. So far so good. They are a little behind in these things becuase they were outside breeding dogs but they are learning this stuff now and are doing amazing. The important thing with a dog is the temperament. And that is something both these dogs have in spades. You would be hard pressed to find a dog as gentle and sweet as Coco. Coco has been spayed and is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. Coco must go to a home where she will be adored and spoiled. | Duggan adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Wayne MichaelMeet sweet Duggan, the 4 year old chocolate Labrador with beautiful green eyes. If you are looking for a calm and lovely Lab, this boy is it. We love Duggan! This perfect and sweet Lab will tug at your heart as he currently looks a bit sad and is recovering from underfeeding, neutering, and a dull coat. The good news is he is getting everything he needs now and in short order will be absolutely as gorgeous outside as he is inside. Duggan is wonderful. He came to us from one of the higher kill shelters in California. He was turned in by a person who adopted him from the shelter. They gave him up when his neuter site started to ooze. Thank goodness we were able to get to him quickly and get him out. He is now healing nicely and will be 100% very soon. Sweet Duggan is a submissive boy who is friendly with all dogs. He is currently fostered with 3 other labs and he enjoys their company. He has learned to walk nicely on a leash. He does get very interested when a cat or a skunk run past him. He has not had an accident in his foster family’s house and he quickly learned how to use the doggie door. He is not interested in chewing on shoes, stuffed animals, or any items that the foster kids leave around the house. His nose does like to sniff to see if any food might be left on the counters so his new family will need to keep them clear. He mostly just loves to lounge near his people. Duggan is a medium energy boy who will be very good in his new home. He will like a nice walk or hike each day with his new owner. Duggan will enjoy trips to the dog park or dog beach, too. We know that his gorgeous eyes and sweet personality will get him a lot of compliments. Duggan is a pretty great dog. He is very well behaved. The family lucky enough to adopt Duggan will have a lifetime of labbie love! Duggan is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and micrcochipped. If you feel this sweet heart is right for you, and you are approved to adopt, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Maggie Mae adopted!Meet Maggie Mae, a yellow female lab who is pure sweatheart! Maggie Mae is a pretty yellow girl of superior temperament. This 1 year old yellow lab is a perfect size at about 60 pounds. She has a cute, innocent face & lovely brown eyes! She does need her daily exercise as she is still a young Lab at only 1 year, but she is the perfect mix of mellow calmness and energetic fun. Maggie has lovely house manners and deserves lots of love and affection. And who could resist her gorgeous face and super soft coat! Maggie came to us from a high kill shelter where she was found as a stray. The shelter was a high kill shelter lacking in space and we rescued her just before she was in danger of euthanasia. Hard to believe a sweet, beautiful, girl like this with outstanding temperament could be in danger, but due to overpopulation, this is sadly the case. Maggie Mae is completely housebroken and is just lovely in the home! She settles well in the home, doesn't counter surf or get into the trash or any other puppy behaviors - she really is a treasure! She is a darling girl who will follow you everywhere. She walks very well on leash - pulling a little bit at times, but corrects very easily and passing other doggies beautifully with a friendly submissive wag. Maggie is great with all other dogs. She is a submissive girl, who is very gentle in greeting other doggies and very comfortable around them. She is fostered with an older female lab and the two get along great! Maggie Mae will do beautifully as an only dog or with another friendly doggie companion. She loves to meet new people and new dogs - although she can be a tad shy at first. She would love trips to dog park or dog beach to make friends with other dogs. Maggie is a medium energy girl - requiring her daily exercise, such as a couple walks or a hike or visit to the dog park each day. Maggie is still a puppy, so she can be a bit mouthy at times. For this reason we think children over age 7 would be best for this girl. Although she is lovely with kids, so older kids would be great for this girl! Maggie Mae is spayed, up to date on vaccines and flea control, microchipped & ready for her new home! If you would like to add this beautiful girl to your family, be sure to send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Buddy 5 adopted!Meet Buddy 5, a very handsome purebred AKC-registered Labrador male. He just turned 1 year old on March 6 and he is the sweetest Lab puppy you'll ever meet. Buddy is a typical adorable doll baby. He is friendly, happy, wiggle, and a bundle of love. He is a good boy with all dogs and he is even good with cats. He loves kids and came to us from a family with little children. Buddy is a gorgous well bred dog with outstanding temperament. His family purchased him last year from a Labrador breeder in California. Since then Buddy was well cared for and loved. Sadly his family had some major personal difficulties that forced them to let Buddy go. They came to rescue in the homes that we could find Buddy a very good, approved home that would treasure this fella. Buddy is a good boy on the leash though he can pull at times. He does perfectly on a gentle leader. He is great on the leash passing dogs and he really loves dogs at the park as well. Buddy knows sit, down and is learning shake. He wants to please and tries hard to make you happy. Buddy must be on grain free food or he can show grain sensitiviy as do many Labs. Dogs should not be eating grain anyway, so it should be an easy decision for any family to make. Buddy will get itchy and allergic on a diet with grain so healthy, high end grain free is a must for him. In that case he has no issues what-so-ever. Buddy is a special boy and he is drop dead gorgeous. He comes with his AKC registraion and the pedigree of both his sire and dam. Buddy has been neutered and is up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Since he is a puppy for another year to come, Buddy's new home will have the time to provide lots of exercise and park time to continue his socializing with other dogs and people. His new owners will need to provide lots of appropriate toys as well. Since his is young, he will do best with a friendly canine companion and would benefit greatly from somoene being home much of the time in the beginning. If you feel this wonderful gorgeous Lab is right for you and you have been approved to adopt, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Jake White adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Deborah LieberMeet Jake White, an adorable yellow purebred male Labrador of 5 years. Jake is a beautifully bred Lab with a gorgeous block head and a nice stocky body. He is a very pale yellow - almost white - and is such a gorgeous boy. Jake White is a typical happy Lab who is on the calmer side. He's a mellow boy who goes with the flow and gets on great with everyone. He is always such a lover, enjoying to lay at your feet and rest his head on you for a nap. Jake came to us when sadly his previous owner passed away. A friend of the owner took Jake in with the intent to keep him, but quickly found that her landlord would not allow her to keep a large breed dog like Jake. This is when Jake came our way in an effort to find him the best forever home. The good news is that Jake doesn't seem at all affected by the recent change in his life. He is still you typical happy labbie boy. Jake White is wonderful with all other dogs. He is currently fostered in a home with 4 female dogs, both big and small and he gets along with all of them. He also shares toys and bones with his foster siblings beautifully. Jake is a low to medium energy boy who likes his walks and enjoys playing a little game of fetch too. He would do well as an only dog or with another doggie companion. He is not too playful with other dogs, so would not be a play companion, but does well with all other dogs as companions. Jake White has lovely house manners. He is completely housebroken. He is not destructive and is an easy going boy indoors. He settles very well in the house, and he loves to be with his people and watch what you are doing. And he is a very affectionate boy even giving kisses at times to his favorite humans. He is not a barker and does not get up on any furniture at this time. Jake White enjoys riding in the car and is a good walker - barely pulling on leash. He really is just a big white lovebug of a boy! Who can resist his face. This sweet boy is just a doll. All he needs now is a wonderful home to call his one. Jake White is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you would like to add this boy to your household, be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Andy and Abby adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Robin and Bob Nenninger and chocolate Labbie LouieMeet Abby and Andy. A bonded pair of creamy white marshmallow cuties. These two are 5 years old and are litter mates who have been together since heaven dropped them on planet earth. These 2 adorable sweethearts are now available to a loving approved home! They are both fabulous with all other animals! They are fostered with 4 other dogs - dogs both big and small, 2 cats, chickens, goats and horses and they do fabulous with all the animals. So this bonded pair is a great for a home with dogs, cats and much more! Abby and Andy came to us from their loving owners who fell on hard times financially, and were forced to move out of their large home and move in with family in another state. They knew the best thing to do for these darling pups was to have us find them a new home that could love and care for them the way they deserved. These two pups have known nothing but love in their life... they now just need a new loving home. Abby and Andy are both housebroken and know all of their basic commands of sit, stay, come and more! They will easily adapt to any new home as they did so well when they came into their foster home. They both love to play fetch, and also enjoy swimming! They would love a home where they could get daily walks, even some hiking, and of course some time playing fetch in the yard or a local park. Both Abby and Andy are loving the large yard they have in their foster home, and we believe they would do best in a new home with a decent sized yard for them to run around and play. Both Abby and Andy are adorable, wiggly, happy go lucky lobbies that deserve a wonderful home! They are everything you hope for and expect to find in a perfect Labrador! Andy is a little bit more playful, while Abby is a lover and loves to play, but also loves to be pet by every person she meets! Abby and Andy are both healthy, spayed & neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you think you could give these two a fabulous new home, please send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Clooney adopted!Meet Cooney! Cloony is a beautiful, purebred, mahogany Golden Retriever. He is 2 year old and is a red hunk of love! Clooney is a very well mannered boy. When he looks up at you with those big amber eyes, it makes you want to melt. Everyone loves this youngster and he loves everyone right back. Clooney is a medium energy young Golden just exiting his puppyhood. He is great with other dogs and gets alone very well with his foster siblings. He is good at sharing toys and space and he has wonderful doggie manners. Clooney is a jumper. He is learning not to jump up on people. He can jump pretty darn well too so we need a home that has a minimun of a 6 foot fence though we would hope his new family would not leave him in the yard. It's just that we need to be safe. He will get out of a 4-5 foot fence if he sees a squirrel. Clooney has not been tested with cats so we will not consider familie with kitties and since he is a jumper, no kids under age 7 for this guy. Clooney loves the ball and is a good retriever. He romps around the grassy yard like a prancing pony with his gorgeous long legs. What a happy guy. He has great housemanners and is housebroken. He loves his toys and is not destructive. He's also a good boy in the car and is fabulous on the leash! What more could you want! Clooney is young and loves dogs. Like most of our foster dogs, we cannot say how he would do left alone without a canine companion. Any dog could display separation anxiety so homes without other dogs where no one is home will need to be commited to doggie daycare or dog walkers if something like this were a problem. Clooney will need lots of exercise each day and tons of toys to keep him busy. He loves his food and he will counter surf so clear counters are a must so he doesn't eat something he shouldn't. Clooney is a healthy sweet boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Because Clooney is a beautiful young highly desireable boy and we expect enormous interest in him, his adoption fee is $400 and will go to help many other dogs in need. If you have been homechecked and approved and feel this guy is right for you, please email IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Dragon adopted!Look at this big scary Dragon! (not). Meet Dragon, an adorable, white, marshmallow of a Lab who is his foster mom's favorite. Dragon is 5 years old and about 90 lbs. He's a big, gentle, mellow guy with a perfectly sweet temperament. He is wonderful with all living creatures and he is a prize. He is perfect with all other dogs and is perfect on leash and off leash. Dragon is extremely calm. When he gets frisky he loves to lay on his back and wiggle and smile while wagging his tail. He likes to snuggle his head into your lap and he loves to be pet and get belly rubs. When he is especially playful he is also pretty mouthy. So although he is the gentlist dog his foster mom has had, he is too mouthy for little kids. Kids over 7 or 8 who understand this can be considered. Dragon is a beautiful show quality dog. He has gorgeous conformation. He is a show stopper for sure. All these looks and a gentle perfect spirit as well! Dragon is also non-destructive, and housebroken - using the doggie door in his foster home. In his foster home, Dragon sleeps in his mom's bedroom on the floor or on his bed. He does not snore. He sleeps through the night and has had no potty accidents. He is fed a raw food diet with some grain free Orijen food which he loves. He does not take treats gently but we are working on that and he is getting better. He know his sit command well but every other command he is certain means "lay on my back for a belly rub." Dragon has a chronic problem with his ears and has suffered from a lifetime of ear infections - some resulting in hematomas now healed. He is not a dog who can eat grain, and must be on either a raw diet or a high quality grain free food like Orijen preferably supplemented with raw meat, bones and organs. His new home will want to keep his ears clean all the time and will realize that he will always need good ear maintenence. Other than his ear care, Dragon is about as easy and carefree as they come. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you feel this perfect cream puff is right for you, and you are approved to adopt, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Patty Cake adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Donna Salvini in honor of Gineen SalviniMeet Patty Cake, the cutest, sweetest petite purebred Golden Retriever girl. Patty Cake is a Mahogany Golden with a beautiful dark coat and sweet face. She is 4-5 years old and is adorable. Patty Cake came to us from a high kill inland shelter where she was brought in as a stray. We saw her but felt certain she would go home. Time passed and no one came and as luck would have it, this little gal was ours. At first Patty Cake was really out of her element and nervous. She was stressed out in her foster home with the other dogs and she was very clingy. We think she really took losing her home hard. Now that a little time has passed, she is doing so amazingly well!! She is loving her foster home, calm, easy, well behaved and being such a good girl in every way. Patty is wonderful with all people. She is mostly a people dog and seems to prefer being close to her person. Though akward with other dogs the first week, Patty has graduated to doing beautifully at dog park and with at least 20 other dogs she has met. She is such a sweet girl. Her new owner will want to continue socializing her at dog park and dog beach and with other friendly dogs. Patty is a calm girl who is non-destructive in the house. She is housebroken, quiet, and sweet - a perfect home companion. Patty is good on leash but is still learning that meeting other dogs on leash is not a huge event. She can sometimes get a little too excited to meet dogs. However as of this writing she seems to be close to over that excitement as well. She really is just settling in perfectly. Patty is a petite girl at only about 58 lbs. She is small in stature yet big in personality and love. This pretty girl will do best with a dog savvy owner who will continue her socialisation and help build her confidence. She will do nicely with someone who is around a lot if possible or where there is a dog walker to stop by during the work day. She will be fine as an only dog in the home but can also go with a sweet well adjusted canine companion. Patty is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you have been homechecked and approved and feel this angel is right for you, please be sure to email donna@indilabrescue.org for more info.

| Loca adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Ellen KornblumMeet Loca, a beautiful purebred male Golden Retriever of 3 years. This fella is super cute and has the typical Golden smile and sweetness. Loca is a medium sized golden with gorgeous feathers. Look at that tail! Loca is a medium energy, medium sized Golden. He loves people and is quite a sweety. He is good with kids too and elderly and even cats. Loca was found on the street extremely thin. He had been starving. He was also limping on his front leg. After rescue, this guy put weight on and became the healthy boy he is now. After seeing an orthopedic surgeon, it was learned that Loca had broken his front leg and that it was already healing. The surgeon recommended nothing be done. Once completely healed, Loca's leg was a little shorter than the other so that now our Loca walks a little funny. It doesn't slow him down or compromise him or cause him pain, but his new family will need to love him even though he at times walks a little funny. Loca is great with other dogs and enjoys their company. He doesn't play much with another dog though until he knows them a bit. They he enjoys romping and chasing and running. He is good at dog park. In the home, Loca is also good with his foster siblings however he is not the best at sharing toys and food. He can be fed near his foster Lab brother but he will for sure complain if another dog comes near his bowl while he is eating. He was starving when he was found so this makes perfect sense. He is not food posessive with humans at all and is gentle taking treats, even from little ones. Loca will do fine with another friendly dog but he is not the best at sharing toys. In his foster home all the toys are put away. If he is adopted to a home with another dog, it will work best if that other dog is not a toy driven dog. He will also do great an an only dog. In that case there certainly is no issue with toys. Loca walks beautifully on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. He likes saying hello and is a calm easy going boy. Loca is non-destructive and housebroken. He is not a digger, nor chewer, nor barker. He's easy to have in the house as he settles so well and is so calm. Loca is overall a very calm, very beautiful dog. He is an easy dog to own and adore and he is full of love. His new human(s) will need to be ok with a doggie who walks a little funny. Loca is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you feel this gorgeous dog is right for you, and you are homechecked and approved, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Saxton adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Carol SweeneyMeet Saxon, an adorable male chocolate Lab and a total love bug! Saxon is incredibly sweet and friendly and loves people and dogs alike. He is a gorgeous boy with a fabulous head and beautiful eyes! His coat currently looks a little sunburned, probably due to being in a backyard all the time. Saxon is 2-3 years old and he is on the larger side of medium sized. He is a medium energy boy with a very friendly disposition. We rescued Saxon from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles where he came in as a stray. While we don't know his story, due to his coat and the calluses on his elbows, we suspect he was left in a backyard much if not all of the time. Saxon is completely crate trained. He listens and is a very polite dog and is very well behaved and very gentle. He's a youngster so is learning to behave like a perfect gentleman! Saxon is a medium energy dog who loves his walks and dog park. He walks nicely on leash with the aid of a pinch collar. He is great with all other dogs, so he is a great candidate for dog beach too! He likes to play fetch but allows his dominant labby sister to catch the balls. He'll be so grateful when he can actually catch some of the balls! Saxon is such a sweet dog, every time you come home from anywhere he will greet you and makes the cutest happy sounds and wiggling with excitement to tell you how happy he is to see you. It is really a wonderful thing! He is a very affectionate dog. Saxon likes to play with his foster sisters, two female labs. He will do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. Saxon is not a good candidate for kitties, as he is just too interested in them. Saxon is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. All he needs now is his forever home! If you feel Saxon is the dog for you and you have been approved to adopt, please send an email to scartersoo@mac.com

Janna adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Robin Nenninger in memory of Sophie, my best friend's dogMeet Janna, a 1 year old adorable yellow female Labrador youngster with a sweet Labby temperament that is sure to please. She's a pretty calm gal for such a youngster and has a lot of love to give. Janna was a stray turned into a high kill shelter. We though for sure an owner would show but no one came. We feel so blessed to have this sweet girl in our care. She's a sweet playful love who wants to wiggle and play with every person and dog she meets. Janna walks well in the leash, and passes other dogs beautifully. She is doing great in her foster home learning how great it is to be part of a family. She just loves her balls, toys, and walks. She loves her crate and will go in all on her own just to chill out. She's a calm girl who really only needs a couple of medium sized walks a day. Janna loves her evening play time which is a fun retrieving session. She hasn't figured out that she's supposed to run after the ball and bring it back--she just loves to run after her foster brothers and sister. Either way she sure has fun! Janna enjoys the company of her foster brothers and sister and has done well with the other three dogs in her foster's play group. We think this young special girl migh even love a puppy obedience class since she loves other dogs and wants to learn all kinds of stuff. Janna is okay so far when left alone for a few hours at a time. That is pretty great for a youg Lab. She seems to be non-destructive and a good girl even when no one is home. Janna is a submissive girl and has a playful nature. She is great for dog park and dog beach where she can meet and play with other dogs. She will do wonderful with antoher friendly canine companion or as your one and only. Janna is up to date on her vaccines, is spayed and microchipped, and is being fostered in the South Bay. Once you have completed your onlline application, and have been home checked, please email inquiries to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Bella Lo adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Caitlin MitchellMeet Bella Lo, the sweetest 5 year old purebred Golden Retriever. This girl is so full of love and so gentle and has a wonderful heart. Bella comes to us from our rescue volunteer in Taiwan. She was a street dog who ended up in a government pound and was slated for euthanasia. Once out, healthy and doing well she was ready to come home to us. Bella Lo is a very easy going, mellow, lower energy girl who loves her short walks and just handing out with her people. She is so special. Bella has a bit of arthritis so she needs to keep her weight down and be on a good glucosamne supplement and good quality fish oil. Bella is perfect int he house. She is calm and non-destructive. She is 100% housebroken and has perfect indoor manners. Bella is very good with the cat she is fostered with and though occasionally curious she shows no ill will toward kitty Mim. Bella has scoped out a comfy chair for her arternoon naps as you can see in her photos. She is such a doll. Cuddling has become a regular nightme routine with her foster mom and dad. She loves her belly and her back rubs1 Bella walks beautifully on the leash. She does not pull or zigzag and doesn't lag behind either. She walks right with you and passes other dogs all cheery and ladylike. She prefers a slower pace andis content to wag her tail and smile. She enjoys everyone she sees. What a perfect temperament! This is a quite special, gentle and easy going sweet heart. She is perfect for someone who wants a trustworthy, non-aggressive, bombproof doggie. She has a therapy dog temperment for sure. | Dora adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Meg ReilleyLovingly sponsored by Alisa, Michael and Noni ReinoMeet Dora! Dora is our new, charming, and absolutely adorable purebred Golden Retriever girl! Dora is a creamy golden, silky-furred five year old beauty, with deep black adorable eyes, who will be by your side for life. Dora came to us from the streets of Taiwan, via the good people of a our rescue partner there. Once in their hands she was treated with love. We got her healthy, and then when able, brought her home to us. Dora is doing great in her foster home in Santa Barbara, learning how great it is to be part of a family. She loves getting in the car and goes on outings with her foster lab sister to the dog park and on walks at the nature preserve near her home. Dora has shown her foster mom that she knows how to walk perfectly on a leash and is very happy to get leashed up and go - no matter what time of day. Dora loves to play chase with a stuffed animal or better yet, a ball, and she will bring one in her mouth for you to throw. Oh boy does this girl RUN to retrieve it. She loves running side by side with her foster lab sister running together after the ball, stuffed animal, or frisbee. Dora enjoys the company of her foster lab sister and is perfect with all types and sizes of dogs she meets, so she might love to have a canine companion, but we also think she will do fine as an only. Dora is also fostered with two cats, and she is perfect with them, leaves them in peace, and respects their space. Dora is a medium to low energy dog, very mellow in the home, and loves to lie by her person and just be near her or him, following from room to room. This girl deserves to be with someone who is home most of the time, for she thrives on human companionship most of all. Her energy level is such that she really only requires a couple of good shorter walks a day, and a couple of good games of ball playing too. Dora loves her petting, brushing, and kissing, and will even put her paw on you and look imploringly into your eyes. This girl is so loving and sweet, that her foster family cannot say this enough! Dora loves her food but is no counter surfer, and takes treats ever so gently from your hand. Dora's new forever family will need to continue her daily regime of glucosamine, and MSM, or other high quality joint supplements, and daily fish oil, for her joints need this extra support and nourishment as she is on her way to great health in her new life! Dora is heartworm negative but because she is from an area rife with heartworm, she should be on heartgard for a final 3 months to ensure complete protection. Potential adopters of Dora must know that when they welcome Dora into their lives and home, this most special, gentle creature, who deserves only kind, loving words and affection, that they are embarking on a life long journey with her, and will without a doubt realize instantly what a gem they have gotten. Dora is up to date on her vaccines, is completely housetrained, is spayed and microchipped, and is being fostered in Santa Barbara. Once you have completed your onlline application, and have been home checked, please email inquiries to judithcoursonburton@gmail.com

| Bilu Lin adopted!Lovingly Sponsored by Robin NenningerMeet Bilu, a handsome 4 year old yellow male Labrador. He is medium sized Labby and has a sweet face and a sweet temperment to match. This boy is a prize for sure! For 2 years, Bilu lived on a chain that was so short he could not lie down. He had to sleep while sitting or standing. His owner tried to let him die by providing no food. Bilu managed to live by rainwater and a neighbor who threw him scraps every now and then. Our rescue volunteer in Taipai, Claudia rescued Bilu and took him into her care. She got him well and sent him to us so that he would never have to be so unloved again. Bilu is the most loving sweet boy. He has such a special heart and loves people and other dogs. Bilu walks nicely on the leash. He may need an occasional reminder not to pull, but is easily corrected. He loves walking and jogging with his foster parents. Bilu knows how to sit and shake and we are working on stay. He is a fast willing learner who really wants to please. Bilu will do best in a home where he will get the daily exercise young Labradors need and would love to go to dog park and dog beach and even some nice hikes with his new family. Bilu is excellent with all people. He would do great with children. But keep in mind, any large dog can knock a toddler down. Overall, Bilu is a medium energy boy with a sweet and calm disposition who will do beautifully with another friendly canine companion. He gets along great with a female and a male lab that he is fostered with. We don't know how Bilu will do with kitties so we will not place him with cats. Bilu is housebroken and he uses a doggie door to come and go as he pleases. He is happy sleeping in the room with you. He seems to like sleeping on a comfy dog bed and is quiet good boy through the night. Bilu is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel this sweet fella is right for you and you have completed your home visit, please email donna@dishgirl.com

| Baby Lo adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Cathy and Mike CarlsonMeet Baby Lo a beautiful purebred white male Labrador of 5 years. Baby is an extremely gentle and sweet boy with quite a story. Baby was found by a mountain climber in the country side mountains of Tawian. He was living as a stray dog near a weather tower. It was lucky he survived. The hiker immediately saw how friendly and sweet he was and he brough him down the mountain with him to rescue. Baby first showed him walking badly and not in good shape. After a thorough vet visit we found he was hungry and dehydrated and had hairline fractures on both his pelvis and his calf. That was 7 months ago. Baby has since be completely treated and the fractures are closed. Baby will always limp once in awhile, but overall it's hard to tell he was ever so badly injured. Baby is an extremely special dog. He is amazing with babies, toddlers, cats, chickens, you name it. He is wonderful with all dog and all people. He is a gentle love bunny. He is non-destructive, loves the ball, loves his leash and walks and seems to value every second of life. His foster mommy adores him. She has an art gallery in Ventura and Baby has been coming to work with her welcoming the guests as they visti. Baby deserves the best home. He has had an interesting and sad life but all that is over now. Baby will do fine with another calm and sweet dog or as an only - especially if you are around a lot. He loves companionship. He's a great candidate for families with cats. Baby is neutered, healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel this magical, adorable, gentle creature is right for you, and you have completed your homecheck and approval, please email barriem@sbcglobal.net

| Cain adoption pending!Lovingly sponsored by Danielle Good in memory of TobiMeet Cain, an adorable male yellow (white) Lab and a total love bug! Cain is incredibly sweet and friendly and loves people and dogs alike. He is a gorgeous boy with a light yellow / cream colored coat and beautiful eyes! Cain is 2-3 years old and he is on the smaller side of medium sized. He is a medium energy boy with a very friendly disposition. We rescued Cain from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles where he came in as a stray. While we don't know his story, he was clearly well taken care of, with sparkling white clean teeth and a beautiful coat. Cain is completely housebroken and also follows a few commands. He listens and is a very polite dog and iis very well behaved and very gentle. He's a youngster so is learning to behave like a perfect gentleman! Cain is a medium energy dog who loves his walks and dog park. He walks nicely on leash and passes other dogs beautifully. He is great with all other dogs, so he is a great candidate for dog beach too! He likes to play fetch but not for too long. He likes his nylabones and enjoys taking long sprawled out naps in the sun. He is also the kind of dog who is happy just snuggling by your side on the couch. Cain is such a sweet dog, every time you come home from anywhere he will greet you and makes the cutest happy sounds and wiggling with excitement to tell you how happy he is to see you. It is really a wonderful thing! He is a very affectionate dog and smiles nearly all the time. Cain likes to play with his foster sister, a female black lab. He will do great with another friendly canine companion. Cain is really a special dog and should be adopted by someone who is willing to give him as much affection as he gives out. He would be great living as an only dog or with another doggie companion. Cain would likely do well with children given how gentle he is, although only children over age 5 will be considered. Cain is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. All he needs now is his forever home! If you feel Cain is the dog for you and you have been approved to adopt, please send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Regan adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Heike MaglaqueIntroducing Reagan a beautiful black pure bred female Labrador. Reagan will be 2 years old April13, 2013. She is American Kennel Club registered and comes with her AKC papers. Reagan and her brother came to indi as an owner surrender and we're glad they did. Her previous owners did not have time to care for Reagan the way she deserves. In her foster home, this little lady is loving life, going the beach, and just really enjoying being a companion Lab. Reagan is a wiggly doll. She is maybe a tad chunky having had little activity prior to coming to us and could stand to lose a few pounds. This will be no big deal at all, as she loves to play, go for walks, go to the park and beach, etc. She got chunky when her former owners did not exercise her and fed her too much. Regan is not a high energy dog. She is a mellow younger but loves her acitvity. Her foster mom takes her jogging and she behaves like a dream. She is a natural you could not ask for a better jogging companion. Reagan also loves the water and like all Labs is a strong swimmer. She has been to dog beach with her foster mom and thinks it the best place in the whole world. Reagan is house broken and settles nicely inside. She is completely nondestructive in the house. Reagan loves all other dogs. She is sometimes shy meeting new people, other times she is so excited she forgets not to jump. Her foster mommy is working on introducing her to new things. Even walking on leash is new for this girl, but she is learning the ropes quickly. Reagan looks to her person for approval and direction making her easy to train. Reagan is still very young and will do best with a family who has the time a young Labrador requires. She loves to play with her toys and other dogs. She must go to a home with antoher dog or at the very least where she will go to dog park or other play day situation. Families who work long hours and keep their dogs in the yard all day with no inside access will not be considered. This is what Regan came from and we intend to give her a totally different life. Reagan is happy healthy spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. If you are completely approved to adopt, please send an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Leo adoption pending!Lovingly sponsored by Stan and Barb MarshMeet Leo, a 1 1/2 year old purebred English black Labrador male. He's a young pup still and a happy fella and he sure is a good lookin' guy! Leo has a beautiful jet black coat, a nice blocky head, a cute chunky otter tail and a wiggle that will make you smile. Leo was adopted as a puppy to a family with a senior dog. Leo is playful and loves romping with other dogs, and the senior dog of course wanted nothing to do with happy, wiggly Leo. Therefor Leo was turned into the shelter. Sometimes people just don't know any better and thing the shelter is a good place to get a dog adopted. Sadly this is not always true. In fact it almost always is not true. Leo is a friendly doll baby! We just love this guy. He adores other dogs - especially younger females who he wants to play with! He is a sweet boy who pulls a little on leash but not too bad. He's medium energy and is currently on the chunky side from living somewhere where he got little to no exercise and too much food. We hate seeing these young pups already chunky. This is an easy fix for this playful cutie. His new family will want to not overfeed this fella. Great treats are small carrots. Leo will love dog park and dog beach and even a hike now and then with his people. Leo will do well in a family with another friendly and playful dog. He is cat curious so no kitties for Leo unless they are super dog savvy. Leo won't work for small children becuase he is still a puppy and jumps a lot. He will certainly knock a little child over so no kids under age 6 for Leo. Leo is healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel this cutie is right for your family and you ahve already been approved to adopt, please email scartersoo@mac.com

| Bon Bon adoption pending! She sure is!!! Chocolate, yummy, adorable Bon Bon. Sweet as sugar, and full of love. She is absolutely perfect in every way. Meet Bon Bon, our 6 year old chocolate purebred who has perfect temperament. She loves absolutely everyone she meets and has the lovliest personality and way about her. Bon Bon is a chubby girl who has already lost 12 lbs. Her owners dumped her at a shelter and we can read the story so easily in this dog. She was once VERY loved. She is an English Lab so somone paid a nice amount for her and they loved her plenty. It shows in her personality. But somewhere along the line something changed and this perfect girl was left outside in the heat and sun with nothing but tons of food. We can tell this becuase her coat and nose are sunburnt. That is already repairing itself. Her coat is soft and her nose is healing rapidly. She was left with freed feeding and boredom and given no exercise. We know that becuase she is overweight! And she is healthy so the weight is a result of simply being given as much food as she wanted while living a life of boredom in a yard. Of course she overate and not one took her for walks to lose that weight. Well in foster all this has changed. She has her 2 daily leash walks and one park session each day where she is with other dog and people and boy does she love it! She is on a diet. Already Bon Bon has lost 12 pounds and it's just coming off on it's own. She is eating high quality kibble and green beans and she loves it! In the house this mellow girl is perfect. She smiles an wiggle and is non destructive and housebroken. She is a perfect house guest. Bon Bon will do nicely with older individuals or little children alike. She is so gentle and calm. Walking this doll is a breeze. She does not pull and she walks right with you. Bon Bon is spayed, healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you are already approved to adopt and you would like to meet this sweet girl, please email barriem@sbcglobal.net

| Lainey adopted!Meet Lainey, a beautiful purebred Flatcoated Retriever female of about 1 1/2 years. She is just 55 lbs and has a prefect feathered jet black coat and burnt sugar eyes. We found this gorgous pup at a higher kill shelter where she was brough in as a stray. We were absolutely certain her owners would come for this princess but no one came. Lainey is a typical Flat Coated Retriever. Just like the Labrador and Golden, this retriever is a tail wagging wiggler with a heart of gold and tons of love to give. Lainey is no exception. She has a beautiful feathered black coat and beautiful eyes that are so expressive. She is all about being sweet and adorable. Lainey is getting along great with her foster Labby sister in her foster home. She would do perfectly with antoher playful and friendly canine companion. She would just love trips to the dog park and long walks and hikes. She is a medium energy girl who is still quite young and needs her daily socialization and exercise! She is doing very well on leash! Lainey likes to please her person and so far is a very good girl. She is doing great in the car, on walks, with her commands and her potty training. Lainey will do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or where someone will have the time to spend with her a lot in the beginning. She is such a good girl and deserves the attention. Flatties like Labs and Goldens, do like thier exercise so it's important that she go to a home where her owners are up to provide that. Lainey is a healthy girl. She has been spayed, it up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. If you feel this adorable, beauty is right for let us know! She sure does deserve the very best home! | Winslow adopted!Meet Winslow the exactly 1/2 and 1/2 Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever male who is lovingly known as "Dufus" in his foster home! Winslow is about 4 years old and is A-DOR-A-BLE. He is one super cute guy with a great personality. His foster moms says he will be the best thing to happen to someone whith a wonderful sense of humor becuase he is such a funny "dufus" of a dog. Winslow seems to have inherited the mellowest part of both breeds. Nothing bothers Winslow. He is an easy going cruiser who sees the bright side of life and enjoys it all in stride. In his foster home Winslow is a favorite amount the grandchildren - the youngest being 5 years old - and he sure does love the kids. As for the dogs, he gets along great with the other Labs and Goldens he is fostered with and they seem to really like him right back. Winslow must go with another friendly dog becuase he likes the company so much that we want him to have that. Winslow came to us in aweful shape showing signs of neglect and boredom. He showed up with a very large "lick granuloma" which is a fancy way of saying this guy was so lonely and bored he literally licked his paw over and over for something to do, resulting in a major sore that needed a long time to close up enough to make him available for adoption. As rescuers we see this from time to time in dogs who are so bored they form aweful and often self-destructive behaviors. Labradors and Goldens in particular and simply not bred to be left alone in yards all day. They hate it. These are companion breeds who so love people that they make excellent guide and service dogs. Living alone in yards for their entire lives is just a slow painful mental torture for our breeds. Luckinly Winslows foster mom knew just how to break his licking habit and he has learned a new fun habit instead! Winslow carries a toy in his mouth much the time! He looks darn cute carrying his stuffed toys or balls around and making cute faces and his foot is healed. Winslow has a tail that never stops wagging. When you see this adorable Lab/Golden wiggling and wagging with his teddy bear, you have to laugh and smile and ooo and ah and then finally kiss and hug him becuase that is how adorable Winslow is. Winslow loves dog park and plays with all the dogs. And he loves to go in the car. Especially since the car usually means dog park! Winslow will do great with kids and would love another dog. But if his new home does not have another dog, he will do fine if not left alone all day by himself. He's had enough of that thank you very much. Winslow is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He has excellent housebreaking skills, uses a doggie door, and has perfect house manners. His ideal family will be a fun one who enjoys being entertained by this darling funny fellow. If you are approved to adopt and you want to meet Winslow, please email his representative barriem@sbcglobal.net

| Macy adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Kathryn CourainMeet Macy, an adorable, loving purebred female yellow Labrador. She is about 7-8 years old and has a heart of gold. Macy is a nicely bred girl with a pretty face that is always smiling. She loves all people and all dogs and is a gentle sweet angel. We found Macy in an LA City shelter where she was brought in as a stray. We saw her when she arrived and we were absolutely certain her owners would come for her. As pretty and sweet as she is we just knew she had a family looking for her. Sadly we were wrong and Macy sat for days and days waiting. After awhile we could no longer bear seeing her on the cold concrete and we came and took her home with us. From the moment Macy jumped right up in the car, she was a happy, smiling Lab! True to her breed, this is one resiliant, sturdy, happy girl. Nothing can break her spirit and she was so happy to be with us. In her foster home Macy has been doing great. She loves attention and we are sure that at one time she was well loved and maybe laid at someone feet all day. Maybe her owner passed away? We don't know. We do know she loves to be close and with her person. Macy's ideal home will have someone around much of the time. She likes company. She will do beautifully with other dogs as well Macy is a mellow dog and extremely well behaved and calm in the house. She is housebroken and only wants to please her person. She loves her walks and passes other dogs nicely. She is a good girl on the leash and loves being out and about. She also does great at dog park and would love a visit to dog beach sometime to walk in the waves with some friends. Macy will do great with kids too. She loves children and is gentle enough for young kids. Macy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you feel this sweet purebred yellow Lab is right for you, and you have been approved to adopt, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Reese Girl adopted!Meet Reese Girl, a sweet purebred yellow female Labrador of one year. Reese is a wiggly, darling girl. She has a beautiful eyes and gentle soul. At just a year old, Reese is still a puppy. Her owner was deployed with the military and unfortunately he did not have any family who could care for this girl, so Indilab came to her rescue. Reese is very calm for a puppy and she is very beautifu with a loving and trusting temperament! In foster, Reese is included in everything... family outings, car trips to the park, going on errands, snuggling on the couch and watching TV, and so much more. Reese is enjoying her time in foster, with a family to give her all the pets, snuggles, belly rubs and hugs she could ever want. Reese Girl can be a little shy at first, although she truly is a happy, playful puppy! She is becoming more and more confident when meeting new people. As she warms up to you, she will nuzzle you for pets and kind soft words. Reese Girl is great with all other dogs! She enjoys her time at dog park, and is lovely with all dogs big and small. Reese previously lived with a little dog, so she is very gentle around the little dogs at dog park. You can find her getting into chase games with the smallest and biggest dogs and all of them having a fabulous time! Reese plays nicely, is learning what toys are all about, and has learned to play tug-o-war with her foster lab sister! Reese is also fostered with two kitties, has come nose to nose with them several times and basically ignores them, is not interested in them, but she may give a little chase if one of them is running by after all she likes to play and will be playful with the kitties from time to time as well as the dogs. She is a good candidate for a family who is looking for a lab who can live with a cat. As Reese is still a puppy, she'll need a good hour of daily exercise and continued play time an socialization with other dogs! Reese has been going on two good walks a day with her foster mom and of course some fun time at dog park too! Reese will need a family to help her confidence building and one that will continue to socialize her with new people and dogs. These things are so important in puppies to ensure they grow into excellent adult dogs! We will be looking for a home for Reese where her confidence will continue to grow, and where her new family will give her the opportunity and patience to come out of her shell. Since Reese has spent all her life with another dog, we would like to find her a home where she will have the company of a doggie companion. Reese is a calm girl in the house, doesn't get up on furniture unless invited, loves to follow her foster mom around, and is completely housebroken. She is crate trained and will often spend time in her crate all on her own. She also sleeps perfectly through the night on her dog bed in her foster parent's room. Reese is spayed, up to date on vaccines and flea control, and is microchipped. Are you the family that Reese has been waiting for? If you are homechecked and your application is in with Indilab, please contact indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Duke Brown adopted!Meet Duke Brown, an extremely sweet 2 year old Labrador male. Duke is a very beautiful and nicely bred purebred boy with a very dark chocolate coat as it should be. He has a beautiful head and face and is just the prettiest fellow about. Duke was turned into the shelter by a breeder. We guess maybe they had too many dogs or this one was returned. We are not really sure. But they turned in three dogs total that day and we were able to pick up 2 of them. Sadly the 3rd was just too unsocialized and human aggressive for us to help. Dukes sire is Mellow who is also avaialble for adoption with us and he is a fabulous dog who lives up to his name. Duke is a very sweet kid. He's a shy boy who isnot all that familiar with the outside world but is getting used to things. He is absolutely lovely with other dogs and really does pretty well with people too His biggest hurdle right now is that he is still a little shy and gets scared of new thinkgs now and then. No big deal! We all get scared of new things and once we see things are ok we can move on! Dukes is only 2 years old so he has only just completed the puppy portion of his life. At age 2 Duke is now a full grown Labrador and is a medium sized perfect for the breed standard. He is a medium energy boy who is calm in the house. He loves to play with the ther dogs and is learning about toys. Duke is now completely housebroken and has not had an accident in some time! What a good boy. Duke is a little insecure when putting on his leash. But once it's on and he gets moving he walks beatuifully on the leash. Remember this is all new to this young sweet fella. He really likes dog park and feels right at home with other dogs. He is on the submissive side and gets along great with them. Duke as a show quality coat in the dark choolate color the standard requires. That said it's in dull and spotty condition from being an outside dog with little attention and poor quality food. It's coming about though and in short order this dog wil be so shiny and such a showstopper he will be the talk of the neighborhood. Chocolate Labbies should be very dark in color and it's not that common to see a coat this perfect on a shelter dog. His dad Mellow also is a dark chocolate. Duke is a wonderful boy with a sweet, lovely heart. He has had a rough go of life in that he has not had the best home. He was not a treasured companion and was treated more like livestock. Now he has the chance to be adored, treasured, protected and loved. We would like to find a home for Duke with antoher friendly canine companion to be his best buddy and to be there with him as he learns more about life. Also he would love a playmate. We want his new owners to be savvy and patient and to want to help Duke ease out of his shell yet let him shine as a youngster by not being too protective. Duke is a prize. He deserves the most wonderful family. Duke Brown is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel this gorgeous gentle pup is right for you and you have completed your homecheck, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Lola Belle adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Carlos Carreras in honor of his Indi dog MildredMeet Lola Belle, a pretty cream colored Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever mix of 5 years. She is a medium sized girl with a beautiful face and heart. We just love this girl! Lola Belle came to us from an owner who gave her zero attention and decided he just didn't want her anymore. Well he didn't deserve her is what we say! The day Lola came to us was the beginning of her new happy furever life where she will be treasured and adored as she always should have been! Lola is already soaking up the attention from her foster mommy who groomed her beautifully and the 2 older children she is fostered with who pet and cuddle her. Lola has even made trips to grandmas where she carries her toys and bones to show everyone how cute she is. She is a very special girl. Lola is learning how to walk on the leash and is doing great! At first she zig-zagged and pulled. She didn't know how to do it! After all her previous life of boredom did not deliver many walks or activities. Now, though she is walking so nicely! she understands to walk in a straight line and not pull her handler. And she loves it! Lola is housebroken now too! And she is non-destructive in the house. She is pretty much a mellow girl who loves to be where her person is and will lay right near your feet when you are sitting at the computer or watching TV. She is pretty calm for a dog who has not fully settled into a foster home. Lola is a medium energy Retriever who requires a nice walk every day. Or maybe 2 shorter walks would be nice instead of a big long one. Either is fine as she goes with the flow. Lola is becoming more socialized also. When she first arrived she seemed to not like the other 2 Labradors she was fostered with and didn't really know how to interract with them. However in a few short days she is already enjoying their company and seeming to know they are just friends! Lola will do great with older kids. Ultimately she will do well with little ones too but for now we cannot place her with toddlers. She is still learning too many things. Lola is a very sweet loving girl. She will do find with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only true love. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you have been approved to adopt having completed your in home interview, please feel free to email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Amber Delight adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Mary Series
Meet little miss Amber Delight. She is a perfectly petite purebred Golden Retriever with the most darling sugar face. She is so sweet and special in every way that you can't not fall in love. If you are looking for the perfect Valentine get in line. There are many suitors for this pretty little love. Amber is a 7 year old doll. She is a sound healthy young 7 for sure and her special skills include wiggling, making cute faces, giving you her paw, and dancing in front of you. Also on this girls' resume are love or belly rubs and kisses. Amber has a very sad story. Her original owner never let Amber in the house. They also fed her horrible cheap food. Over time, Amber developed a skin condition and lost most of her fur. She also smelled bad so that no one wanted to touch her. The owners started keeping her in a small enclosed area of their yard - often without any human or other contact for weeks on end. This type of handling is vastly abusive for a dog who is a pack animal and thrives on companionship. Luckily a rescue found out about the situation and asked to have Amber. The owner agreed thankfully. It was at that moment Amber's life began. To see her now you would never know the hardship she has endured. Her gorgeous soft coat hides any evidence of her former neglect, as does her beautiful smile which she has 24 hours a day in foster. She has blossomed into a perfect, loving angel of a doggy. Amber is very tender and sweet. She is never pushy with people or other dogs. She loves to sit right beside you and give you her love. She is quiet and darling and perfect in the house. Because Amber has had such a bad former life, we are looking for a VERY special home for her that will spoil her rotten and treasure her. She must come first and she must be the absolute love of her new owners lives. No exceptions. She deserves it. Amber is lovely with cats and children. However we will be extremely critical of families with children as we want Amber to be a priorty. Load, boisterous kids will not be considered. Special needs children will not be considered sicne they require their own special care. Amber would love another doggy or two to keep company with. Of course she could be your one and only true love if you have lots of time for her. We just don't want her left alone as an only dog all day in a yard. She deserves better. We want her new owner to commit to healthy GRAIN FREE food for Amber. All Labrador and Goldens (in fact all dogs) should not consume grain (corn, rice, etc) as part of their diet. Dogs are carnivores and feeding grain can cause allergies, skin problems, ear infections and worse. Amber is a healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines, micorchipped, and spayed, She is housebroken, not destructive and we have never heard her bark yet. She is great on the leash and in the car. If you feel this angel is right for you and you are an approved family, please email donna@indilabrescue.org to schedule a meeting.

| Mellow adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Carol SweeneyMeet Mellow, who lives up to his name! This beautiful, regal, purebred chocolate Labrador is a darling gentle giant of approximately 6 years who is as lovely as they come. Mellow and his son were dropped off at one of the high kill county shelters without a care in the world, notwithstanding their lovely natures. All Mellow really wants is a hand on his head, or better yet, that same hand scratching his side. As you can see, Mellow is a lovely dark chocolate boy. What you cannot see is that he has some minor correctible hair loss due to flea dermatitis which of course is no longer a problem with us. This is the result of being dumped in a backyard and not given proper care. Now with his new indoor life, flea protection, and species appropriate good grain free food, he will be one phenomenal looking dog! It amazes us how neglected a gorgeous specimin of a Lab like this can be. His former owner should be shot. Mellow is a stately, handsome Large Lab. He is a mellow gentle boy with some good size. Sweet as sugar, calm as they come and easy. He is not overweight in the least and yet probably weighs between 85 and 90 pounds. His calm nature and gentle ways make is easy to own a dog his size. Mellow is completely crate trained and housebroken. He knows sit and stay. He is food motivated as are most labs, and will counter surf like all Labs do. So families should not leave loaves of bread on the counter. In fact we hesitate to mention counter surfing since almost all Labs and Goldens do it and it's the families responsibilty to keep counters clear. Mellow is very well behaved and very gentle. He settles beautifully in the home, relaxing at your feet. He does love his bully sticks, and will welcome them as an occasional treat. Mellow is a lower-medium energy dog but it's important that he gets his exercise with walks or at the dog park. He is great with all other dogs, so he is a great candidate for dog park! He is also the kind of dog who is happy just snuggling by your side on the couch. Mellow is such a sweet boy, every time you come home from anywhere he will greet you and makes the cutest happy sounds and wiggles with excitement to tell you how happy he is to see you. It is really a wonderful thing! He walks well on a pinch collar and he listens to commands which is great. He is really curious about people and other dogs passing by but he doesn't bark at all - just wants to say hello! Mellow is really a special dog and should be adopted by someone who is willing to give him as much affection as he gives out. He would be great living as an only dog or with another doggie companion. Mellow does very well with his foster's children and would likely do well with all children given how gentle he is, although only children over age 5 will be considered due to his size and ability to easily knock them over. Mellow is far too interested in his foster's kitties to be placed with cats. No cats for this fellow. Mellow is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. All he needs now is his forever home! If you feel Mellow is the dog for you and you have been approved to adopt, please send an email to scartersoo@mac.com

| Bitsy adopted!Meet Bitsy, a funny, adorable 5-6 year old female Golden Retriever. She is the happiest girl ever and all she wants is love. Bitsy is a gorgeous girl. Her coat is beautiful with waves and feathers and a pretty golden color. She is always smiling, always wagging, and loves to be with her people at all time. Bitsy came to us from the high kill Baldwin Park Shelter. The day we found her we were shocked that she ended up there and that no one came looking for her! We had not problem taking her home and after a good professional grooming she was ready to settle into her foster home. Bitsy loves all people. At dog park or the coffe shop or whereever she is, she wants to go say hello to every new person. She has a huge smile on her face and really loves people. With a little training she would do great at a therapy dog especially with kids. Bitsy also loves other dogs. She is great at dog park with the other dogs. She is not the most playful girl but can get a little frisky at times. She likes to great all the dogs at dog park as they arrive and also likes to greet the people to! Bitsy is just one happy girl. She has plenty of wiggly energy and loves her walks. She does tend to pull but with good correction she falls in line. Mainly she is just so happy to be out and about that she can get a little ahead of herself an you. A quick reminder not to pull and she does great. Bitsy loves the water and loves to swim. She would love a home with a pool or the chance to go to dog beach. If you have a pool that is unfenced, you may want to consider that Bitsy will probably go in quite a bit giving you a regularly wet doggie! Bitsy loves to be bathed and brushed and groomed. She adores the attention and is a good girl. This sweety is healthy, up to date on vaccines and spayed. She is also current on flea control. If you feel Bitsy is right for you and you have been approved to adopt, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Abel adopted!lovingly sponsored by Greg WynansMeet Abel, a happy and adorable yellow male purebred Labrador! This guy is about 2 years of age, wiggly, darling, and just loves everyone, and all other dogs! He is a light cream color and is a smaller sized male lab at about 65 pounds. Abel is a sweet, friendly boy who is a pleasure to have around. He has a beautiful soft coat, happy burnt sugar eyes, and a fabulous temperment as well. This boy is all smiles, all the time! Abel was rescued from a local high kill shelter and brought to his IndiLab foster home where he has been enjoying the love and affection of his people and the companionship of his foster labbie siblings! This medium energy sweetheart loves his walks and also likes to play with his doggie friends. He is great with all other dogs, so is a great dog for dog park. He gets along great with the dogs he is fostered with - a male and female lab. Abel is a young, happy boy at age 2, so he does need good daily exercise. A long walk or a trip to dog park or dog beach would be great for this healthy boy! Of course, a game of fetch at the park or in your yard is always welcomed by him! Abel loves his walks. He can pull at times, but corrects very well and quickly! And Abel does great on car trips! He will settle right down - laying down enjoying the ride wherever you go! He already enjoyed a trip to Tahoe with his foster family and had a fabulous time! He has solid temperament and is ripe to be a perfect family canine companion. Abel knows his commands of sit, and is starting to learn his other commands too! He really does want to please his people, so training this boy is a pleasure. He doesn't always come when called, as he can be distracted by the other dogs and all the fun in his foster home, so probably best to hold off on any off leash hiking or other off leash activities until he knows to come when called - silly boy. Abel will do fine in a home with another friendly canine companion or as an only dog. He really just enjoys being around his family and of course getting cuddle time on the couch with his family! He just loves sitting right up next to his people, in fact will even sit on your lap if you let him! Abel is completely housebroken, but of course as any new dog, should be watched at first in his new home. Abel settles fabulously in the house and will lie at your feet while you work - provided he has had his exercise first. He is a young pup at only age 2, so he does need his exercise daily to settle well. If you are looking for a fun and friendly young purebred who is so much fun to have around and who is affectionate, this guy may be for you. Abel is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. If you would like to add Able to your home, please send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Star Boy adopted!Meet Star Boy, a beautiful purebred male Chocolate Labrador of 5 years. He is a gorgeous boy in beautiful shape and has been truly loved his entire life. Star is medium sized Labrador with beautiful eyes. He has a little grey on his face - chocolates can show grey at 3 years - a cute white "star" on his chest. He is a nicely bred boy and has a nice head and soft expression. Star came to us when his loving owner was no longer able to keep him due to circumstances outside her control. She wanted us to help Star find a great furever home. Star is an energetic boy who loves his walks, dog park and playing fetch as long as you can go. He is a great dog with a good heart and he loves his people. Star has always lived with another dog - his mother Chippy, another chocolate Lab soon to be available for adoption. However the dogs are not a bonded pair and their owner felt they would do fine separated. We have them in different foster homes and so far so good! We do think Star might love to live with another friendly female though since he has always had company. Star is housebroken and non destructive. He is crate trained and he loves his crate. He is a good boy but he has some bad habits like counter surfing for example. He recently ate a plate of freshly baked banana muffins. We are pretty sure he liked them a lot. Like most Labs he will check the counters and if something is up there, it may make it into Stars mouth. Any family with Labs knows, counter should never have food left on them. Star has a lot of energy and will do best in a home as a jogging partner or where someone will throw the ball for him and hike on weekends. He loves activity and thrives on life and fun. He would be a great best friend for a jogger, hiker or just somone who loves to do things with their dog. Star is good with kids and has lived with little children. His owners said he is wonderful with kids but toddlers he will barrel over if there is a ball or squirrel. We will happily consider families with kids over age 7. Star is a beatuiful purebred with a lot of great qualities. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel this handsome 5 year old is right for you, and you are approved to adopt, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Chippy adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Robin NenningerLittle Chippy is the cutest! Chippy is a small purebred Labrador female who is the cutest little thing! She's a a chocolate female valentine who makes the funniest adorable faces and is just DARLING! We love Chippy! Her favorite things are kids, wiggling on her back, and drinkling out of water fountains. Chippy is small! She is a little overweight right now at 55 lbs though.. She should be only about 45 lbs and is petite. She lays with her back legs out like a little froggy and is so darn cute you can't stand it! She is about 7 1/2 years old and in fabulous health. Chippy came to us after her owner was no longer able to care for her due to personal issues. She has always been loved and cared for and her owner did not want to part with her. Well we can see why! She is a little treasure and very easy to love. Chippy loves her walks so much. Her foster mom walks her around the park and she loves to stop at water fountains to get a drink or to say hi to the neighborhood kids. She is a very sweet girl. She is great on the leash!!! She walks on a gentle leader and does perfectly. Chippy is fostered with our foster mom Lisa and Lisa's mother AND grandmother who is older and has health issues. Chippy is so theraputic for her. She loves getting all the attention too and is bringing a lot of joy to the 3 ladies! She is a very easy going girl in the house when you are home with her. She likes to lay around or carry her toys or sleep. She's quiet and non-destrucitve. She is housebroken too! Her foster mommy is just loving having her. When Chippy is out and about, everyone comments on how cute she is which Chippy likes! She is great with other dogs but she will at first bark or even give a growl at them. She is a typical mommy female who likes to give her opinion to eveyone. Once she meets the dog she is great and she has no aggression what-so-ever. She loves kids and is toddler approved. Chippy has been in a home with children all her life and she enjoys their company and play time. She will do great in a home with kids and might like to play dress up. This little, pleasingy plumb chocolate valentine will make someone the perfect FURever pup. She is quite the adorable funny Lab and has a lot of love to share. She tends to be independent at bed time and likes to sleep in the living room, not in her fosters bedroom so far. She loves to be where you are otherwise. Chippy is a healthy little thing and is up to date on shots and spayed. She will need a teeth cleaning in the near future. If you think this spunky doll is right for you, please be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Marco adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Anne WinterMeet Marco, an absolutely darling purebred male Golden Retriever of 4-5 years. He's a smaller to medium sized blocky Golden with an adorable face and a tender sweet heart and disposition. Marco is a very submissive yet super friendly and loving boy. He's a cuddler and he absolutely loves to carry his ball in his mouth everywhere while he makes sad faces. He's a medium energy boy who is easy to exericse. He is bombproof with all other dogs so he can go to dog park, walk on the strand (as he does in Redondo), visit dog beach, or do play dates. And he's fabulous on the leash. This is really a special boy who is extremely gentle and calm but also a lot of fun. In Taiwan the dogs are killed quickly. Marco however must have been liked by someone as he was kept alive for a full month until our rescue partner pulled him out to safety for us. He remained in Taiwan until we were able to get him healthy enough to come to California where we welcomed him with open happy hearts. We want ONLY the best home for this dog. He is truly one of the most special dogs this rescue has known as we intend to be quite selective! Marco is good with kids and cats. He ignores cats so is a great choice for homes wanting a gentle kitty friendly dog. He likes kids and is good with them, but we will only consider gentle children who are not rough or have special needs of their own. Marco is good in his crate and sleeps soundly through the night. He is doing well on his housetraining though he had a rough start learning the doggie door. He seems to be getting though. Marco needs a home where he will have another friendly canine companion or where someone is around much of the time to cator to him. He deserves it. Marco is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you feel you have the best home in the world for this perfect fella, and you have already completed your in home interview, please email donna@indilabrescue.org to meet Marco.

| Maui adopted!Lovingly sponsored by Carol and David Levin in memory of RembrandtMeet Maui, a stunningly beautiful black purebred Labrador with regal looks and a heart of gold. This boy is a 5 year old prince and is looking for the best forever home. His foster mom says, "He is just puuuurfect!" Maui's story is a sad one - not unlike the others. Maui and his fellow doggie companion (a female lab named Cinnamon who was already adopted) came to us from their owners who could no longer keep them. Maui was purchased as a puppy from a breeder, and was well loved and cared for throughout his life. He is a loving boy who now finds himself looking for a new forever home. Maui is the best combination of indoor mellowness and outdoor playfulness. He is completely housebroken and non-destructive in the house, and sleeps all night on his doggie bed without making a peep. He has great house manners and is a perfect gentleman indoors! Outside he loves to play fetch and run around with the other dogs and have lots of fun! Maui does fabulous with other dogs and cats too! In fact, he is also great with horses, goats and chickens! Maui knows all his basic commands of sit, down, stay and more. He also stays right next to you when off leash and would make a great off leash hiking buddy. He would enjoy nice daily exercise like a walk, hike or some play time of fetch in the yard. Maui is a little shy with his people at first. As he gets to know you and trust you, he will inch his way closer to you for cuddle time. He would do well with kids due to his gentle nature. And he was raised with a young boy around age 5 and was great with him, but children will need to know to be calm and gentle with him upon first meeting and not to overwhelm him at first. We would prefer to find Maui a home where he will have another doggie companion as he has spent all his life with another dog. He is good with all dogs - he is currently fostered with 4 other dogs, both big and small and gets along well with all of them. He is also a great choice for a family with cats as he is so good with the kitties in his foster home. Maui is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. All he needs now is his forever home! If you feel this boy is the one for you, be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

Freedom adopted!
This gorgeous white bench bred girl is Freedom. She is a stunningly beautiful and sweet English Lab from Champion lines and she is just 5 years old.
Freedom is a retired breeding dog due to special circumstances who has lived all of her life in a kennel. Until she came into rescue, Freedom had never had anyone kiss her face and call her by name. Her new home will shower her with the nuzzles and kisses that she deserves. She is learning to be less shy and open up more each day and she is really a very special girl. Freedome was sold by her original breeder to another breeder who was not taking care of her. Needless to say, Freedom essentially has spent her entire 5 years of live living in a cage.
This special girl came to use afraid of the outside world. Her foster mom and dad have worked with her and with their help and the help of the other Labs and Goldens she is with, she is really opening up. She can still be a sensitive shy girl and needs a very loving savvy owner who has a true appreciation for Labradors. She is so very special.
Freedom is a calm, sweet dog who loves her people. So far she is doing beautifully with the little grandchildren who visit daily and seem to like their attention. That said we don't want to place her where the children will take all the attention. This is a dog that has not had any attention of her own in her life and deserves to be the shining star in the home.
Freedom must be placed with another dog as we want another dog to help guide her and build her confidence.
Freedom is spayed, up to date on vaccines, micrcohipped and we just did a dental cleaning on her. She is ready to come home forever.
Freedom likes to get on the couch and snuggle with you. And she deserves to do that. And to sleep in your room if she wants to. She deserves to be spoiled.
She is not destructive and she is still learning how to play so she does not really know what toys are yet. Her new canine sibling can help teach her.
She is housebroken and well behaved but still shy.
Freedom's adoption fee is slightly higher at $400. She is a show quality, highly desirable purebred Lab of champion lines. The donation is tax deductilbe and goes to help our other Labradors and Goldens. This also helps us cover her costs of spay, teeth cleaning, vaccinations, etc. She will NOT come with her AKC papers due to a non-disclosure agreement with her breeder.

| Douglas adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Monica Prelle
Meet Douglas, a cute, small, chocolate male Labby that is a great size at just 60 lbs! This young 2 year old chocolate Valentine has a darling submissive personality and is really just the nicest Labrador in town.
This gorgous chunk of chocolate love is a short stocky bocky fellow that so many of us just love. But he is also petite making him doubly cute. He is in good shape and has a nice shiney coat. We wonder how he eneded up at such a high kill shelter!
Douglas is your typical happy guy, but he can also be shy at first with new people - especially big scary men. But he warms up quick and is a wiggler and kisser in a few moments.
Douglas is a youngster with lots of playful energy. He loves to meet and play with dogs at the park and he would make a great jogging partner. He's perfect for dog park and dog beach as he is so good with other dogs - submissive, and absolutely no aggression.
He needs his daily exercise, but, after a good vigorous walk or retrieving session, this boy settles nicely in the house. Douglas will do great with a playful, friendly canine companion. He loves other dogs and he gets along great with the three fur babies he is fostered with. He loves to jump, wrestle and chase other dogs (or balls). He greets other dogs nicely on the leash, so he seems to be well socialized. He has not been fostered with cats so we won't adopt to cat friendly home.
Douglas takes treats very, very gently and has shown no food aggression with people or other dogs.
This boy is a typical young lab who needs a loving owner to spend lots of time with him providing exercise, fun, and most of all friendship! He hasn't had tons of training, so he's looking for a gentle leader to reinforce his good behavior. He is very athletic and will need a secure yard with high fences if you are going to be gone long hours, though honestly we don't love any dog left in a yard for too long alone.
Douglas is housebroken as he hasn't had accidents in his foster home. He knows how to sit and seems to know and is also learning more commands. He very much wants to please his person.
Douglas is wonderful in the crate, both overnight and when you have to run errands and be away for a short time which is really good becuase young Labbies can get into trouble from time to time and having a crate trained Lab is a big benefit when you need it.
Douglas loves his walks of course and is doing great on leash. He will pass other dogs sweetly and happily and is learning not to pull.
We have not heard Douglas park yet! We are sure he can bark but he is for sure not a barker. He is not a watchdog but is a good cuddler as he should be!
If you feel you are up for a fun, playful, sweet youngster who is really just about the cutest most loving boy around, please let us know. This guy deserves only the very best home.
Douglas is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. All we need now is the right family or person to adore this chocolate valentine.

| Portsmouth adopted!
Meet Portsmouth, a darling bear cub of a Labrador. This chunky English male Labrador is about 6 years old. He's got a beautiful sweet face and head and a smile that melts your heart. Portsmouth is a pretty mellow Bench Bred Labby. Typical to this variety of the breed, he is a wiggly happy guy of medium to lower energy who loves to be near his person and seems to just love every one and every thing. This guy came to us from an inland high-kill shelter. Being black he maybe would have been overlooked since black dogs are just not easy to see in the kennels. Luckily us "Lab girls" LOVE black and we look in there to see what beauties are available. This fella was an easy pick with his big labby smile and perfect retriever temperament. Portsmouth is great with all dogs and all cats. He just likes everyone. He's easy to be with as he is mellow in the house, good in the care (he LOVES the car) and basiclly bombproof with other dogs. He loves his walks and getting out into the world. He is more of a Ferdinand the Bull than an athlete, preferring to stop and smell the flowers and wiggle rather than chase down the street. Still he can pull on leash if he wants to though he corrects easily. This is a special guy. We think he is a score. Just a perfect Labby prince who deserves the best forever home who will realize the lucky in adopting such a well bred Labrador. He is truly a beatiful dog. Portsmouth is on the chubby side. He is a Labrador and as such he likes his grub. He will need a home that watches his weight and makes sure he doesn't over eat. Maybe he could lose 5 lbs or so. He for sure should not gain any weight. Portsmouth will do great in a home where someone is around much of the time and even better is with another dog. Right now he tends to be a little velcro and needy and we dont' think he will like being alone in a yard all day. He will adjust so well with someone around a lot and in a short time will settle perfectly. This is a dog with no aggression. He is nothing but pure sweetness. He is a Labrador in every sense of the breed. Just perfect. Portsmouth is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is heatlhy other than recovering from an ear infection for which he is being treated. If you feel this doll baby is right for your home and you are approved to adopt, please send an email to scartersoo@mac.com

| Bliss adopted!
Meet Bliss, the sweetest girl of all. Bliss is a cute 1 year old purebred female yellow Labrador and is a smaller, petite size.
Bliss is a beautiful girl with burnt sugar eyes, and a gentle, calm temperament. She is a submissive and calm and is currently on the shy side as she is getting used to the outside world after living her life since born in a kennel. Bliss is a purebred Lab with perfect confirmation - exactly what we look for in a well bred Lab! She is still shy and timid in the outside world. Bliss is great around other dogs both big and small. She is fostered with 4 other dogs including 2 labs and 2 puggles and she gets along great with all of them! In fact, she is also great with goats, chickens, horses and the cats in her foster home too! She is a great choice for a family with cats! She enjoys her time with other dogs and in fact the other dogs help her to come out of her shell. Bliss is a medium energy girl who is still a puppy at one year old. She is mostly calm for a puppy, but she will still need puppy toys and bones to keep her from chewing on your shoes and the like. Spending time with other dogs is also great for her, so trips to dog park or dog beach would also be great for this sweet girl. Bliss will do best with a family who will give her time to come out of her shyness but will not baby her. Her forever family will need to understand that it may take Bliss a couple months to become less timid. A family that will take her to new places and help introduce her to a world that she has never experienced and can show her how much fun it can be will be great for her. Bliss has come out of her shell in her foster home, learning to walk up and down stairs, enjoying car rides with her foster family and so much more. She will do great with a family that will continue these fun firsts for Bliss! We would like to place her in a home with another friendly dog who is well adjusted to the world so she can learn from him/her how many exciting things the world has to offer! She will do best in a home with another dog.
Bliss enjoys getting up on the couch with you for cuddle time, so a home where she is allowed on the couch for snuggles will be great for this girl. We will not place her with young children as she has had a rough time and is still too shy to be expected to deal with the noise and motion of young children. Children over age 7 will be considered. Bliss's adoption fee is $400. She is a show quality, highly desirable purebred Lab of champion lines. The donation is tax deductilbe and goes to help our other Labradors and Goldens. This also helps us cover her costs of spay, teeth cleaning, vaccinations, etc.
Bliss is a healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

| Grant adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored In memory of Sally Leeflang and SamiMeet Grant, a near perfect 5 year old male Labrador. He has beautiful coloring, a sweet expression and is a medium sized Labrador. Grant is a dark yellow - almost fox red Lab. He is really a very good looking boy. He is at a great weight, happy to go on walks, take trips to dog park and more. He is really the perfect combination of indoor mellowness and outdoor fun. Grant is a very nice, very sweet Labrador. As nice and as pretty as he is, he was still found at an extremely high kill shelter and would have been euthanized had we not taken him in. I know we say it often, but that is because it happens all the time...some of the nicest purebred Labs can be found in some of the most horrendous "shelters" out there. We don't know why this happens but we sure are glad to break them out to safety and make their new families happy when they see how great their new dog is! Grant is an affectionate boy who is loving his foster home. He loves his foster doggie companion, a male Golden Retriever, and enjoys sitting by his dad and following him from room to room. He is a true velcro boy and his foster dad says he is one of the sweetest dogs he has ever fostered!! He is a calm and mellow boy in the house - enjoying relaxing on the couch or curling up on his doggie bed and snoozing at your feet. He gets very excited to go on walks and is doing great learning his manners such as waiting for foster dad to exit the door first while waiting calmly. Grant tends to pull on the leash but on a choke chain or pinch collar, he walks like a true prince! And he seems to like it! Grant's foster dad has been teaching him commands! So far he knows sit and shake! He looks to his person and has a sincere desire to please making him an exceptionally easy to train Labrador. Grant is a good swimmer and like many labs, he loves the water! He would enjoy dips in the pool, trips to dog beach or the lake. He also enjoys his trips to dog park with his foster dad. He's not very playful with the other dogs, but he does seem to enjoy socializing with other dogs and making new friends. Grant is completely housebroken and will even use the doggie door with ease. He has very good house manners and is a really easy going boy to have in the home or to take to work with you if you desire! Grant is your typical Labrador who loves everyone he meets and offers his paw to shake hands. He settles nicely in the house and loves the companionship of his foster family members. Grant will do best with another doggie companion in his home as he really enjoys them. He won't necessarily be a playful companion, but he would love the canine company. We think he will do find with older children over age 5. He would also be gentle with elderly people and may be a good candidate to do therapy work if you so desire. This fella is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and flea control, and microchipped. All that's needed now is the right family to treasure him forever. If you feel this darling, happy boy is the right one for you, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an application to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Koma adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Tami Barrett
Meet Koma, a cute, small male Labrador that is the perfect size at 50 lbs. This young 2 year old cutie has a fun personality and is really just the nicest Labrador. Koma is a youngster with lots of playful energy. He loves to meet and play with dogs at the park and he would make a great jogging partner. He needs his daily exercise for sure!!!! But, after a good walk, this boy settles nicely in the house and loves his doggie bed. Koma loves other dogs and he gets along great with the two labs he is fostered with. He loves to wrestle and chase other dogs. He greets other dogs nicely on the leash. Koma takes treats very, very gently and has no food aggression with people or other dogs. This boy is a typical young lab who needs a loving owner to spend lots of time with him providing exercise, fun, and most of all friendship! He enjoys laying around at his foster mom’s feet and sleeps all night on a doggie bed without making a peep. Koma is from Taiwan where he was found as a street doggie and was rescued by an Indi rescue partner there. After being fully vetted and cared for, this healthy little bunny was able to come home to us to find his furever family! Koma is housebroken and knows sit. He is learning other commands. He uses the doggie door to go in and out whenever he wants and he has not had an accident in his foster’s house. If you feel you are up for a fun, playful and energetic youngster who is really just about the cutest most loving boy around, please let us know. This guy deserves only the very best home. Koma will do great with a playful friendly canine companion or as your one and only if you can give him the time he needs. He loves dogs and likes to play. He also just likes haveing a buddy to hang out with. He will do fine with a dog-savvy kitty but cats who are shy of dogs may not adore his puppy attitude at times. He can be very respectful of a kitty but he can also be curious. He has been fostered with cats and won't hurt them. But he is a playful fellow and some cats just don't appreciate that! Koma is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you are an approved family having completely your in home interview, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| MacGruder adopted!
Meet puppy man MacGruder! Mac is a 1 year old black male Flat Coated Retriever youngster. This means he has your typical Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever personality. He's all Retriever and has the beautiful feathered tail to prove it. Besides that gorgeous tail, he has a beautiful block head and nice short stop. He's cat, dog, and people friendly and he is darn cute! MacGruder came to us from one of the highest kill shelters in Los Angeles. So many black dogs go unseen in the shelters, so we were happy to rescue him from the horrible fate he would face if he was left there - especially becuase he came to us with a skin infection which caused him to lose some of his fur and feathering. You can see in the photos he has a few patches still growing in. In a few weeks his coat will be just about back to it's glory and luster. Mac is really very calm for a puppy and he is a happy boy, really wanting to please his people. He loves playing with his toys and with other dogs. He gets along fabulously with his foster sister - an alpha female lab and he is very respectful of her. The two dogs share all their toys very well too. As a puppy, Mac may still select the wrong thing to chew - like your shoe, a remote control, or your Bluetooth headset. Like any young pup, he will need many of his own toys around to keep him occupied and will need some gentle reminders not to chew the wrong item. Mac walks very well on leash and is excellent in the car! He needs his daily exercise, but he is pretty mellow for a puppy after dog park or a good play session. He needs a nice walk daily, and would love trips to dog park, dog beach or a day hike if you desire. He would also love to join you while running errands or picking up the kids at school. He is a great car rider! Mac would do very well as an only dog or with another doggie companion. If he is an only dog, we prefer he not be left alone for long work days every day as he is still a puppy, so does require more attention and companionship for now. Mac is great with cats and is actually a little fearful of the cats in his foster home, so he would be a great choice for a family with kitties! Mac is well mannered in the home - although he can sometimes be found with his front two paws up on the counter like most Retrievers. His foster mom is teaching him that is not allowed and Mac is learning quickly! Mac really wants to please, and takes treats very gently. He will be an easy dog to continue to train to ensure he becomes a well trained adult dog. Mac is such a happy, joyful, sweet puppy - he will make any family looking for a younger dog very, very happy!! Mac is neutered, up to date on vaccines, current on flea control and microchipped. If you would like to add this puppy man to your home, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Cinnamon Sugar adopted!
Meet Cinnamon Sugar, a lovely purebred chocolate female Labrador. She is a lovely combination of playful energy and nice indoor mellowness. This 8 year old girl is a purebred with papers to prove it! Her foster parents say she is a "wiggly ball of sweet chocolate love!" Cinnamon's story is a sad one - not unlike the others. Cinnamon and her fellow doggie companion (a male Lab named Maui) came to us from their owners who could no longer keep them. Cinnamon was purchased as a puppy from a breeder, and was well loved and cared for throughout her life. She is a happy go lucky labbie who now finds herself in need of a new forever home. Cinnamon is a very sweet, low to medium energy girl. She can be playful, however she also settles down beautifully after her walk or trip to the park. She loves other dogs and all people she meets! She is fostered with two other female labs and they all get along great. She is really just a joy. Cinnamon is completely housebroken and non-destructive! She has great house manners, never jumping up on counters, and loves her doggie bed! She enjoys her walks and playing with her doggie toys. She can often be seen happily walking around with a doggie toy in her mouth for safe keeping - silly girl. She does pull on leash, so is best walked with a training collar, but with a little practice, she will be a good walker in no time. This girl would make any family happy! She loves to be pet and will loves to get her ears scratched, her back scratched, her belly scratched - she just loves to be given affection from her people. She will even give her paw to you when she wants more attention. She will sit calmly in front of you just waiting for you to give her love and affection. Cinnamon is wonderful with other dogs. We think Cinnamon will do fine with another friendly canine companion or as an only dog. Although if she is an only dog, we would like her owners to be home more often so she has the companionship she so adores. Cinnamon is also a very good girl in the car and just lays down while you drive - although she might need a boost into the car, she is comfortable and happy once in. Cinnamon takes treats very gently and is not jumpy or mouthy, so she would likely do well in a home with or without children. Cinnamon would also be a good choice for a family with younger kids as she grew up in a home with a young boy and did fabulous with him. Although keep in mind any playful Lab can knock over toddlers and any excited lab can get jumpy and bouncy too. Cinnamon is healthy, spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped. If you would like to add this snuggly chocolate girl to your home, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Churchill adopted!
Meet Churchill or "Church" as his foster mommy calls him. Church is an approximately 3 year old yellow male Labrador purebred and he's one wonderful dog. His foster mom says he's "the best" and we're pretty sure she means it. Church is a young big mellow boy. He should be a good 95-100 lbs but is very underweight right now at about 87 lbs. He's a big gentle fella. VERY mellow and easy going but he also has a puppy streak that makes him a funny, lovable guy. Don't worry about his size though. He is a calm tempered dog and a true gentle giant. Church loves other dogs and loves all people. He will be a good candidate for families with little children due to how gentle and non-aggressive he is. His foster mom can take anything out of his mouth and put her hand in his food. Church has a big nose that loves to smell the top of the counters. Since he can easily reach up there, he needs nice clean counters free of loaves of bread and other yummy things, even though he has never counter surfed in his foster home. It only takes one reward up there to teach a dog to look for the rest of their lives. Counters should always be clear with a Lab or Golden in the home but especially for a big guy like this. Church is now completely housebroken. And he is not destructive either. He is not really sure what toys are but he does pick up a couple he seems to like and carry them around making cute faces. He is particularly fond of one ball in the house that is wrapped in soft fabric. He doesn't bark. At least not yet. And he even likes the mailman, so we suspect this guy will make a very poor watch dog although he is formitable in size. His favorite thing to do is nuzzle his big nose into your lap and look up into your eyes saying "love me". He also likes to put that same big nose under your arm while you are on the computer to be pet. Church is very, very "velcro" and wants to be on you and near you all the time giving love. He has obviously lost his home so he is seeking the safety of a new owner. Over time he will be less velcro but he will want to be near you all the time. He does not have any separation anxiety though and has done great left alone with other dogs. This is one mellow guy. He will for sure do hikes with you but he is extremely mellow in temperament. He is young so daily exercise is a must for him or any young dog, but in the house he is a couch potato. He would love a childs room to sleep in or a little girl to dress him up. He is tolerant and loving. Church loves to go in the car. He also rides very nicely next to other dogs in the car. And he will wait in the car nicely if you have to run in to do a quick errand. He will enjoy taking the kids to school or just being your errand buddy. He'll do great with another dog as a canine companion. Church is a healthy guy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel this guy is a fit for you, please email his foster mommy at donna@indilabrescue.org

| Bradbury adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Carol Sweeney (his foster mommy!)
Meet Bradbury!!! Bradbury is a stocky, snuggly, easy going male purebred Golden Retriever. This boy is about 4 years old and is as sweet as they come! His foster mom says he is "an absolute gem." He has a buttery soft golden coat and a block head - he is truly adorable! What a well bred boy he is! Bradbury is a guard dog failure. Yup we said it. And he's the story. Bradbury came to us from his owners who frankly did not deserve him. His owners spent a lot of money purchasing this beautiful creature as a puppy. Then at one point they decided he would no longer be a part of their household, but would make him a guard dog over their junkyard or storage yard. Well anyone who knows Goldens, knows that they do not make good guard dogs - they are just too sweet and nice to everyone they meet! The family quickly learned this and decided they no longer had any desire to keep this boy and were going to simply dump him at the local shelter. Well we were lucky enough to learn of this boy's plight and immediately scooped him up and brought him home with us! We are always shocked with stories like this as Bradbury is such a fabulous, loving pet, we cannot imagine why anyone would not want him as their family member for life! Bradbury is a loving, mellow, easy going boy! He has no ill effects from being left by his previous family - he is happy and loving with everyone he meets and loves all people and other dogs too. He is currently fostered with 4 female dogs - both small and large, and he gets along great with all of them. In fact, he is very respectful in greeting other dogs - he approaches them slowly and gently sniffs them - he has excellent doggie manners! Bradbury is completely housebroken and non-destructive and has lovely manners in the home with one exception - he enjoys putting two paws up on the counter to see what you are doing up there. His foster mom is teaching him that his four paws should remain on the floor and he is happy to follow this direction! He also loves his crate and you will often find him curled up in his crate for a nap. He finds it as a safe, comfy place and will go into it on his own very often. Bradbury sleeps soundly through the night without a peep! In fact, he's a very quiet dog - we have never even heard him bark! He is also great in the car! He will hop right in the car on his own and sit down to enjoy the ride. Bradbury just always has a happy, giddy smile on his face! This boy walks fabulously on leash - rarely ever pulling! He is a pretty mellow boy, so would enjoy a couple walks a day, but doesn't require much exercise daily. He doesn't show much interest in doggie toys or bones at this time - we suspect he never had them in his previous home, so he just needs to discover how much fun they can be. Bradbury would do well as an only dog or with another doggie companion big or small. He does just fine left alone and is perfect with all other dogs, so he would be happy either with our without another dog. He enjoys running around with the other dogs in the yard, but so far is not a rough housing, play companion with the other dogs... just seems to enjoy their company. We do not know how he would do with kitties, so we will not look to place him in a home with cats at this time. More than anything, Bradbury is pure sweetness and deserves a home where he is showered with love and affection. He loves to sit up in front of you and look at you with eyes longing to be pet! He will even nudge you or give you his paw if you stop petting him - a gentle reminder he is still there and wants more love! Bradbury is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and now ready to find his forever family! If you would like to add this super sweet boy to your family, be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Mini adopted!
Meet Mini! She is a beautiful medium-sized girl and is 5 years worth of adorable yellow lab perfection. It's hard to believe this amazing girl was found in a high kill shelter in Taiwan after being picked up as a stray street doggie. This pretty girl was simply let go to the streets after no longer being a puppy. Our Taiwan volunteer found her in the shelter on her final day before euthanasia and pulled her out to safety. After such a rough start, Mini has bounced back with incredible resilience. She is a happy girl with a sweet smile, a cute, wiggly tail and the softest, velvet ears. She is truly a wonderful baby and we still can't believe that she came from such a tough former life. Mini is great with people, children and other dogs. She is a little lady at the dog park. She's curious and makes friends nicely. She never reacts even when a dog barks and jumps around her. She takes the high road! Mini has been a marvelous house guest in her foster home. She is not at all destructive nor is she a barker. She is calm with wonderful manners. She knows her basic commands Sit and Stay and is completely housebroken. Mini loves her people. She sometimes follows you from room to room because she loves the company, love and attention. She really enjoys being part of a family. She especially loves her belly rubs and treats. Mini walks beautifully on the leash. When passing a dog, she likes to stop and sniff in the nicest way. She is wonderful at dog park and with at least 10 other foster dogs she has met and spent time with. Mini is not a high energy dog. She is more interested in toys and playtime when outdoors, where you can engage her in fetch. While inside, she prefers to chill out! She enjoys her daily walks and would probably be up for hiking and trips to the beach, but she probably wouldn't be a running partner. Mini LOVES the water, so she would enjoy a home with a pool and/or trips to the dog beach. If you have a pool, Mini will be in it. In fact on a recent outing, Mini decided to jump into the fountain at UCLA where she happily swam around much to the chagrin of her surprised foster mommy~ Mini also loves car rides. She settles nicely and just enjoys the view and she is great at riding in the car with other dogs too. Mini would do well as your one and only, with another canine companion or with older children. She hasn't been around cats, so no homes with cats please. This precious girl is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you are approved to adopt and feel Mini is the one for you, please email donna@indilabrescue.org.

| Life adopted!
Meet Life, a gorgeous, small, male Golden Retriever puppy of just one year. He is still growing and is stil filling out. Life is an adoring, loving, beautiful spirit wrapped up in a darling puppy body! He is light cream colored Golden Retriever, with big feet and a huge plume of a perfectly feathered tail. He is lean at 53 pounds, but is still filling out to reach a perfect adult weight The photos will show that he is truly a head turner, but that is just the icing on the cake - Life has an outstanding personality! In his very very short life this sweet boy has gone from being an abandoned puppy surviving on the streets, hanging out in front of a convenience store in Taiwan, to the welcoming, loving arms of his rescuers from Indilab and the into the warmth and love of his foster home and family. Now it is time to find this supreme Golden a forever home and family to call his own. Life is sich a happy boy. He loves playing and other dogs and he requires plenty of exercise, dog parks, and outings! He loves to play and he loves to run! He needs at least an hour of off leash playtime with other doggies like at dog park, plus several good walks during the day. His foster mom has taken him on a few short 2 mile jogs which he seems to like. And of course off leash dog park is the most fun. Life walks beautifully on a leash and gentle leader, never pulling, and he corrects easily if he gets a little bit too far ahead. He really wants to please his person! He is great with every dog and person he meets, greeting them with calmness and curiosity. Life is quite good with the kitties he is fostered with, has met them nose to nose, is curious about them but mostly ignores them. 'Tho he might give a little chase if one is running, he would never harm one, so we think Life would be a good candidate for a family with cats. Life loves other dogs and he loves his lab sister he is fostered with. He would really thrive with a playful, friendly, canine companion. He is still getting to know what toys are all about - and he takes his cues from his "sister," He loves to chase her as she chases her toys, and tries to get them for himself! He might then flop down to chew on them a bit, then he is off again for the chase! It's really quite adorable! As he requires lot of fun ctivity and playtime, Life would love to have a family with older children to interact with or a home where he gets to have fun a lot. Life can be mouthy if playing a rough game of tug, so not a good idea for any little children to get into that game with any young pup! He does correct easily with a gentle "leave it" or "eh eh", responding beautifully. Life is one smart puppy! He has already learned the words "sit", "down", and "shake". We are currently working on "stay" and "come", but he is a quick learner especially using training treats like dried chicken jerky. Life is completely housebroken. There is no doggie door at his foster home but he can learn to use one. Life rides well in the car - he wants to be close by his mom, and sometimes makes his way up to the front passenger seat if it is vacant. He is learning to sit or lay in the back seat with his lab sister. Life has never gotten up on the furniture, and he is non-destructive in the house, but does require chew toys and stuffies to rip up, as any young dog does. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and micro chipped! Life is fostered in Santa Barbara. If you are an approved family having completed your application and homecheck, please email judithcoursonburton@gmail.com

| Becks adopted!
How about 65 pounds of chocolate for Valentines Day! Meet Becks, a handsome chocolate lab with a gorgeous medium sized body and such a heart-melting, gorgeous Labby face. Becks is about 4 years old and is a calm, easy-going boy. He has a lovely temperament and he is a total love bug. This fella is a prize. Beck knows his basic commands and has been a well-mannered boy for his foster family. We can tell someone paid a pretty penny for him and worked with him at some point. He was not abused or horribly neglected. Yet somehow he lost his home. Whoever adopts this doll will be fortunate indeed as he is a wonderful friend and pure calm joy to have in the home. Becks came to us from a high kill shelter after being picked up by animal rescue. We were so happy to get him out of there as he was such a love bug to all who saw him. He seemed so happy to be free and get some good meals! He rode home nicely in the car and fit right in with his three foster brothers and sister in his temporary home. He gets along wonderfully with the other dogs and loves everyone. Becks is a relatively quiet, calm boy. He always loves to be where you are whether at your feet, on the couch or one your bed (like all labs). Mostly he does not like to be left alone. He loves to be pet and get attention but he is never overbearing. Becks absolutely loves his walks. He gets very excited when the leashes come out, and has a tendency to pull and smell everything like all abs. But his foster Dad is working with him on his leash skills and he's getting better every day. He has been walked off leash and will come when called from close or far away, a nicely advanced skill. He is good at meeting other dogs too and passes them nicely. Mostly he just wants to be with his human family and chase smells and pays little attention to other dogs . He eats nicely in his 4 dog pack and is not food aggressive. Becks has not been introduced to cats, so no homes with cats for this boy. Becks is a medium energy mellow guy, who doesn't really seem interested in a game of ball toss though he seems to be learning to play better each day as he get comfortable in his foster home and should continue to improve in his forever home. Mostly Becks just wants a nice walk and to be pet. He would do best with a stay at home mom or dad and is mellow enough to be with kids. If you feel this fella is right for you and you are approved to adopt, please shoot an email to reader.family@verizon.net

| Smith adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Georgia Spogli
Meet Smith, an adorable white polar bear cub. Ok maybe he IS a Labrador, but he is just the cutest Cub! This purebred Lab male is a gentle fellow and a real sweetie. Smith is 7 years old and is a good sized boy. He is a mellow, easy going guy who is a gentle house dog and can at times be a couch potato. But Smith is also a fun guy who can be frisky and playful when he wants. He's a very easy boy and a real snuggler. Smith loves his walks and he is a puller. He's not a high energy hyper dog at all, he's more of a "Ferdanand the Bull" kind of guy, but he can pull on leash and we are getting that worked out now. His new owners should walk this big fella on a pinch collar and he will walk perfectly. He passes other dogs nicely and is a good boy. Smith is doing great with the dogs he is fostered with - 2 female Labradors. He also is doing good with the cats in his foster home and basically just ignores them making him a great candidate for familie with kitties. Smith will go well with another friend canine pal or as your one and only. And he'll do find with older children as well. Smith takes treats very gently and he knows his basic commands. He is fully housebroken too. He is non-destrucive in the house and very mellow indoors. He also likes car rides and is a good boy in the car! Smith is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. All that's needed now is the very best forever home. Smith came to us from a high kill county shelter. We still arent' sure why no one looked for him but we are happy to have him. He deserves the best home there is and in return his new owners will be smothered in Labby Love. If you are homechecked and approved, you may email scartersoo@mac.com to meet this cutie.

| Chocolate Li adopted!
Well she's Chocolate but she's not chocolate. In other words, Chocolate Li is as black as black can be! And goodness is she one gorgeous blocky, petite, perfectly bred little angel!
This sweetest, most darling 3 year old loves to be loved. She is on the small side at 55 pounds and is a lovely combination of playful energy and nice indoor mellowness. Chocolate Li was found wandering the street of Taiwan. She was taken in by a local rescuer and eventually was sent to us. After a 24 hour plane trip, she jumped into the backseat of her foster’s car and rode home happily with her human foster sister. She does great on car rides. In fact, Chocolate Li seems to be happy about just about anything! She settles beautifully in the house after she has had her exercise. She is housebroken and is using the doggie door to go in and out anytime she wants. She is not destructive but, as it is with any dog, she should be watched at first in her new home. She does like to take her foster mom’s dishtowels with her around the house. But so far we have not seen her drying any dishes with them!
Chocolate Li is lovely with other dogs. She gets along great the female and male lab that she is fostered with and plays well with both but she also likes to wander off by herself to take a nap. She probably will do well as an only dog if her owner is around throughout the day or with another doggie companion. Otherwise she has always been with other dogs and probably will do best with a friend.
Chocolate is also good with cats. She may bark or chase a tad from time to time, but mostly ignores them. She is not currently fostered with a cat, but was when she was in Taiwan.
Sweet Chocolate Li loves to have her belly rubbed! Her fur is super soft and her size is perfect for snuggling. She enjoys a daily walk or two and would probably even enjoy going for a jog around the neighborhood, too! She does pull a little on the leash but is improving each day.
Chocolate Li is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots. All she needs now is your furever love! Will she be yours!
If you are approved to adopt and would like to meet Chocolate Li, please send an email to Donna@indilabrescue.org

| Sunshine Li adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by monica jeffery
Meet Sunshine Li, a 4-5 year old petite 55 lbs purebred white Labrador female who is a delight. Sunshine is smaller in size but big in heart and just the perfect family dog. Sunshine Li comes to us from our rescue partner in Taiwan. She was a street dog and had a hard life. Hard to believe this gorgous purebred Labrador has had it so hard! Especially when you meet her and see how refined and ladylike she is. Sunshine Li is a mellow, easy-going girl. She loves her people and is a very good non-destructive indoor doggie. She is housebroekne and uses a doggie door too. She has fit right into her foster home with two Golden Retrievers and one Kitty! She loves dogs and cats and gets on perfectly with both though she can occasionally chase a kitty out of sheer fun or curiousity. A dog savvy cat can easily "train" Sunshine to be bombproof. If you are super overprotective and unrealistic aobut inter-species relationships with your kitty it's not going to work. Dogs savvy cats only please because Sunshine isn't going to totally ignore, she's going to want to be friends. She will love having doggie companions and would love a canine friend. Especially if you are gone at work. She'll do fine as your one and only if you aren't leaving her alone all day or if you have a daily dog walker. She has spent her life with other dogs so making her an only dog now with no company might be quite a challenge even though she is so mellow. If she is with her people a lot, it will work fine and she'll ease into it beautifully. Sunshine carries her tail gayly on walks. She LOVES her walks! She does not pull and walks like a lady with a smile on her face. Her foster mom and dad say that belly rubs are an absolute must for anyone adopted this girl and petting and loving attention are also highly recommended!. If you say "no" or "leave it" she responds very, very well and is an exceptionally obedient dog who wants to please. Sunshine Li is not a big player but enjoys doggie and kitty company. She hasn't gone too crazy with her toys yet but she sure loves food! Her fost mom says "toys, bones, and games of fetch are not a priority but food definitely is!" Well, what Labby doesn't love her snacks? Sunshine is a healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. If you feel this sweetheart is right for you and you have been approved to adopt, then please send an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Sam 3 adopted!
Meet Sam 3, a beautiful purebred white male Labrador of 5 years. He is a sweet loving boy with a heart of gold and he deserves only the very best furever home. Sam is a gorgeous boy. He's a nice sized fella at about 80 lbs and has a beautiful blocky head. He's nicely bred but honestly his looks are nothing compared to how loving and wonderful he is. Sam came to us from a loving owner who treasured him. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond her control, she had to let Sam go and find a new home. Her heart was broken and we promised to do the very best we can for Sam and we will. Sam has never knows anything other than love and we intend to keep it that way. Sam is wonderful with all people. He loves to be near his person or people and is used to having a work from home mommy so he hasn't spent much time all by himself. We think he'll do find alone but we don't want to put him in a home where he will be left alone for long days without any human companionship. He's always had that and he sure deserves to continue with it now. Sam is excellent with other dogs but he is used to being an only. As such he can be posessive of his food and toys. Even sometimes he can be snarky at his water bowl. We think in a home with another dog he will bond closely and do fine with these things over time, but initially he will need to get used to sharing. He is otherwise very, very good and loving with all other dogs and enjoys playing with them and keeping company. He is good on leash though he can pull just a bit when he wants to go smell something "important". He is fine passing other dogs and likes to say hello to everyone. Sam also enjoys dog park and would love dog beach as well. He will love doing hikes with you and even a little bit of light jogging. He is not my any means a high energy athlete but rather a mellow easy going boy. Sam is a best friend kind of dog. He wants to just be your best buddy. He loves riding with you in the car and especially likes riding shotgun. He wants to be part of your life. Sam will do best in a home without small children and where someone is around quite a bit. He will do great with another friendly dog but maybe not a dog that is super toy oriented since Sam can be posessive over his toys. Then again his new owners may want to work on this. We do think it will evaporate over time with a special best friend doggie his lives with. Sam would even do fabulously with a young retired couple who have lots of time to love him and don't want a super active guy. He's more of a lover and cruiser than an athlete. In fact his new owners may want to be sure he doesn't gain any weight as lately he has been getting a tad chubby his former owner told us. Sam is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is a fabulous dog deserving of the best furever home. Will he be yours? Please do not email if you have not been homechecked and approved. But if you have and if you feel you are right for this gorgous boy, please contact indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Oliver Bailey adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by jackie buechsenschuetz in honor of her adopted Indi Lab Nitro
Meet Oliver Bailey, or "Olly"! This gorgeous 7 year old purebred yellow male Lab is a special boy. He is pretty much perfect in every way. You see, Olly only has about 50% of his vision and would love a forever home that knows just how special he is! Olly came to us from a loving family who got him as a puppy at just 6 weeks old from a breeder in California. He has been loved his entire life! His family had two young toddlers who Olly was gentle with. Sadly, one of the children became allergic to dogs meaning their beloved Olly had to find a new home. Olly cannot be placed with small children however as he is visually challenged. Oliver Bailey has Progressive Retinal Atrophy or PRA, a common condition in Labradorw which causes them to eventually lose some or even all of their vision. It is not painful and requires no care. Presently, Olly has 50% of his vision and gets around very well. Over time Olly will lose more vision and will likely go blind. There is no pain and no special care to be given to Olly's eyes, in fact Olly is just fine! However, we think it is good for Olly to find his new forever now so he will have the lay of the land as his vision decreases. Olly is well trained! He knows all his commands of sit, down, stay, shake and leave it and is completely housebroken, using a doggie door. He is fabulous on leash and a great car rider. He hops right in the car on his own and will just sit down to enjoy the ride. Olly is perfect with all other dogs and is fostered with 4 other labs. Olly is truly 7 years young enjoying his walks, swimming in the pool, and hiking. He is also mellow and easy going in the home, so if you can't take him out for a walk one day, he is fine with that too! Olly is already starting to use his sense of smell and sound to make up for his loss of vision! And he doesn't to mind that he's losing some sight - like all dogs, sight is not the most important sense to a dog trailing far behind scent and hearing. Olly should not go to a home with a lot of stairs, and if there is a pool in his new home, it must be fenced in order to keep Olly safe. Olly should have a home with another friendly canine companion, but he could be an only dog as long as his family is not gone long hours at work every day. Olly should not go to a home with young kids under age 7. While Olly was fabulous with the toddlers he lived with previously, young kids tend to leave objects around and move furniture making a sight challeged dog have a harder time navigating. Olly is really a wonderful dog! His foster parents and an IndiLab Board Member are just in love with this boy!! Yes he is losing his vision, but it won't hold him back from living a full and happy life! And he will do as well as any seeing dog in his home. Oliver Bailey is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you think you can give a loving forever home to this special boy, be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to sbixler@cmcsnet.com

| Abbott adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Chris Lahoda in honor of of JoJo and Bodhi
Meet Abbott! This purebred gentle male is j6 years old and has a stunning golden yellow or fox red coat. Abbott is a calm, easy going Lab with a special heart. Abbott is a typical lab who greets everyone with a smile & wag. He is as calm as they come inside the home yet a lot of fun and spirit for walking and hiking too. He loves to give his paw to you and tell you he is your best buddy. Abbott is he perfect house guest! He just loves to sit next to his people for some pets and affection. He will sit next to you all day long if you pet him - and he will give you sweet, gentle kisses too. But as easy as he is indoors, he still wants and needs his good daily walks and exercise. After all he is still a young Labby! Abbot is also completely housebroken and uses the doggie door in his foster home! And he has gotten a little training in his foster home learning to walk smoothly on leash and wait while you walk out the door first. We would love his new family to continue working with him on this so he can show you how good he is. Abbott is great with all other dogs and loves their company. Mostly Abbott just loves being next to his people. He will sit up next to anyone he meets and look up at you with his sweet eyes waiting to be pet. If you stop petting him you might find him lift a paw up to you to remind you he is there waiting for your love! Like many Labs, Abbott loves water and is really enjoying the pool at his foster home! He will go in for a dip in the pool and then enjoys just laying in the sun after. Overall Abbott is a low to medium energy boy, where given a couple nice walks each day he will settle nicely. He sleeps soundly in his spot next to your bed all night long without making a peep. What a good boy he is! Abbott would do well with another doggie companion or as your one and only. Abbott is neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his shots and flea control. If you think you can give this boy the sweet love and affection he deserves, please be sure to fill out an application to adopt and contact indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Pickett adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Lynn Hardwell in honor of her Golden Sam
Meet Picket, a near perfect 3-4 year old purebred male Labrador. He has a perfect blocky head, sweet expression and is a nice smaller-medium sized Labrador. Picket is a dark yellow - almost fox red Lab. His nose is liver and he is really a very good looking boy. For now, he is very much underweight but in just about 10 lbs from now, this studly boy will be the best looking fella on the block. Pickett is a very nice, very sweet Labrador. As nice and as pretty as he is, he was still found at an extremely high kill shelter and would have been euthanized had we not taken him in. I know we say it often, but that is becuase it happens all the time...some of the nicest purebred Labs can be found in some of the most horrendous "shelters" out there. We don't know why this happens but we sure are glad to break them out to safety and make their new families happy when they see how great their new dog is! Pickett is a young affectionate boy who is loving his foster home. His foster mom says he is her favorite foster so far and that is quite a compliment as she has had some pretty nice Labbies in her home. He gets very excited to go on walks and is doing great learning his manners such as waiting for foster mom to exit the door first while waiting calmly. Pickett tends to pull on the leash but on the new style gentle leader collar he is walking like a true prince! And he seems to like it! His new family should be able to transition back to a standard collar with just a little practice. Picketts foster mom has been teaching him commands! So far he knows sit, shake and stay!!!! He looks to his persona and has a sincere desire to please making him an exceptionally easy to train Labrador. Pickett would be a great walking or jogging partner as he loves to go and he loves to be with you. He would also love hikes and would be a great companion to go just about anywhere with. He loves to play ball and we are sure he would enjoy dog beach and visits to dog park as well. He has a prance in his step and looks very regal as he trots across the lawn! He could be a yoga master as he enjoys his stretched and his downward dog form is perfect! He is very zen in the house too! Pickett is your typical Labrador who loves everyonehe meets and offers his paw to shake hands. He settles nicely in thehouse and loves the companionship of his foster family members. Pickett is non-destructive and completely housebroken as well. We do not know about cats so for now, no kitties for Pickett. And we think he will do find with older children over age 5. He would also be gentle with elderly people and may be a good candidate to do therapy work if you so desire. This fella is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. All that's needed now is the right family to treasure him forever. If you feel this prince is right for you and you are approved to adopt, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Yankee adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Carol Sweeney in honor of the Goodman Family
Meet Yankee, a cream, bench bred English Labrador of 4-5 years. This beautifully bred fellow has a block head and near perfect conformation. He also has has his dewclaws removed leading us to believe he is an AKC registered Labrador. Hard to imagine this gorgeous boy was in the isolation ward at a local high kill shelter when his foster mom went in to look at a different dog. She asked to meet him, and it was love at first pat. It was a good thing she was there that day or Yankee would have been euthanized. Yankee was filthy, looking like he'd been sleeping under cars, but his foster was able to see the beauty in him. After a thorough bath, this is what Yankee looks like. We think he's quite handsome and we bet you agree! Yankee gets along with both of his foster Labrador sisters whome he adores. He also likes his foster sisters the kitties as well. In fact he wants to play with them though he has gotten a few good swats letting him know they don't necessarily want to play with him. He is wonderful with older children, and probably little ones too, as he isn't a jumper and is a mellow guy. Unfortunately he takes treats far too roughly to be with toddlers or small children so though he is calm and gentle, older children will be best. This sweetheart has about 5 pounds to gain as you can see all of his ribs. He was starving when we got him. In fact at that time he showed a bit of possessivness wit his food. Since then he is much, much better with his food, and does even better every day. His foster mom can now take his entire food bowl away from him while he east. Yankee is doing great on the leash. He does best on a gentle leader or pinch collar but honestly as each day passes, even that won't be necessary. He is apparently house broken, up to date on his shots and flea medication and ready for his forever family. He must be neutered in order to finalized his adoption. His new family will be so very lucky to have this stunning Labrador. He is being fostered in South Pasadena and is just waiting for the best forever home! If you are an approved family and are interested in this wonderful boy please contact scartersoo@mac.com

| Jack August adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by christine bazylevsky
Meet the most handsome stud around! Jack August is an absolutely beautifully bred Labrador male who looks exactly like what a Lab SHOULD look like. He's a arguably show quality boy with a giant block head and stocky frame - a perfect otter tail, round cat-like paw, and a snuggle that will knock your socks off. Yup, this fella is Keeeeeeute! Jack is a 6ish year old paie cream yellow boy. He is a doll. Just loves absolutely everyone. This wiggler is very Labilicious with superior temperament and a happy, frisky personality that is fun when you want and mellow when you need. Jack came to us a full year after his owners decided they couldn't keep him any longer. They had been told to go through rescue but didn't "trust" that option instead opting to choose the new "owners" of Jack themselves. As is almost ALWAYS the case, they did not know what they were doing. Poor Jack who at the time was not altered, never did get altered, never did get to sleep in the house, and even after a good 5 months with a severe eye infection, he was never treated. When the NEW "Owners" realized that if they did not cough up some money, Jack could lose his eye, they called rescue. Typical. Well after spending oodles of money on myriad antibiotics, test, and treatments, and after neutered and bringing Jack current on vaccines, microchipping, et. al, this doll is healthy as can be and ready for a new forever home like the one he always should have had to begin with. Jack loves dog park and any park actually. He loves his leash walks and can pull a bit in the beginning as he is so happy to go. Like Ferdinand the bull, he really is just pulling to the nearest flower to smell it. He's a calm guy and he just loves life. Jack is wonderful wth other dogs as well. He is fostered with a Golden Retrieve in training for companion assistance and he is also with another Labrador in his foster home. He is fostered with 3 cats and is fine with them though we can pretty much promise you he will chase cats for a good few weeks in the beginning. If you have dog savvy cats and don't mind them hiding for a couple of weeks, you can consider Jack. If you mind, look elsewhere. Jack will do great with owners who will take him on lots of outings. He loves being with his people and getting attention. He deserves to have much of it and not spend workdays laying in a yard all the time. He'll do fine as your one and only but will do even better with a friendly companion. Maybe even a nice female would be fun for Jackie boy! Jack is housebroken and using his foster Dad's doggie door. He's not destructive and is calm in the home. Jack has a good strong Labby bark making you feel very safe in your home, but he is not a watchdog preferring to instead cuddle with "intruders" as all Labs and Goldens are want to do. Jack's foster dad is a pilot and Jack has spent lots of time flying around in his foster dad's plane. He's a good boy in the plane and excellent in the car too. If you feel this neutered, healthy boy who is up to date on vaccines and microchipped is right for you, please email donna@indilabrescue.org.

Pepper Jack adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Elizabeth Doyle in Loving Memory of Gingersnapz
Meet Pepper Jack - 3 years old and a small pocket sized male Labrador who is all wiggles and smiles wrapped up into one adorable package. This fella is a typical sweetheart who loves people, toys, walks, cuddling and playing. He is a good boy and has all the qualities and looks we love in our Labs in a great size of just 45 lbs. He's one fun guy. Pepper Jack came to us from a very high kill shelter where he was in danger. This is especially true for black dogs and black Labradors are no exception. Sometimes people are scared of the black dogs (thought it's pretty silly), and sometimes it's becuase their darker color makes them not stand out in a dim kennel in rows and rows of dogs in a shelter. Sometimes people simply don't see them. In any case the black dogs have a harder time making it out of the shelters but here in Lab Rescue they go like hot cakes becuase let's face it, there is just nothing like a black Labby to brighten your day! Pepper Jack seems to be pretty well trained in that he is good in the house, housebroken, and pretty good on leash too. He loves his toys and playing with his people. He'll probably dog great with kids over age 5. He seems great with dogs in terms of meeting and passing on leash and did great at our vet techs boarding when meeting dogs, but he prefers to be the only dog living in a home. This is becuase this cute fella wants all the attention to himself. He wants his toys, his food, his treats, and his humans to be only his and no one elses and he makes no bones about it! Pepper Jack is a wonderful dog for someone looking for a smaller size Labrador and is a one dog household. You can still take Pepper to dog beach etc. but he will be a lot happier as your one and only back at home! Pepper Jack also likes the car and settles nicely for care rides and he looks just fabulous in an array of bandanas - very important if you like your dog to have style! Pepper Jack is an all around adorable sweetie. He wants to be your one and only dog without competition from other dogs and cats and he promises to be the best friend you could every ask for. Pepper Jack is neutered, healthy, up to date on vaccines, and snuggly adorable. If you feel this gorgeous purebred is right for you, and you have been officially approved to adopt, please contact indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Linus adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Natalie Walters
Meet Linus one of the sweetest most loving purebred Labradors in the history of our rescue. He is a pure bred four and a half year old with a perfect temperament and a generosity of spirit we treasure. Linus gets along with all dogs and is wonderful with children. He went from the love of his family who could no longer keep him due to their housing circumstances, to the love of a indilabrescue foster mother and will go to the love of his forever family without knowing any trauma along the way, just love. When you give him hugs he is such a wiggle but that you can not help but laugh out loud. This sweetheart has about 10 pounds to loose and it will come off easily with exercise and a strict diet of grain free food. The problem will be in not giving treats to this darling boy, just give him hugs and kisses instead. He is enjoying an organic carrot a day and ice cubes as treats in his foster home. Linus loves to swim in his foster moms salt pool and to run after the ball and he also loves to please by being such a sweet boy. Linus needs some leash training in order to be easy to walk on leash and may do best on a gentle leader or pinch collar. He is house broken, up to date on his shots and flea medication and ready for his forever family. His new family will be so very lucky to have this loving Labrador. We have not tested him with cats so no kitties for him. He is also soft mouthed taking the smallest morsel of food with out bitting your fingers. Linus is simply a ten. He is being fostered with a Lab brother and sister in Santa Barbara. If you are an approved family and are interested in this wonderful boy please contact judithcoursonburton@gmail.com

| Hobart adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Georgia Spogli
Hobart is an extremely special, loving, purebred Labrador of about 9 years. He is stately and handsome yet goofy and adorable all at the same time. He's just wonderful. This sweet senior is a mellow, easy going boy who loves people and dogs and seems to be just fine with kitties too. He is a dog who has been dealt an unfortunate hand in life and yet seems to just be happy and celebrate each day. We could all learn a lot from Mr. Hobart the Labrador. Hobart came to us after he was dumped on a freeway in Los Angeles. Yup people really do that. He was about the luckiest dog in the world because a good samaritan helped to wrangle him down an exit ramp and was actually able to catch this petrified boy. Talk about luck! When we got Hobart he was in sorry shape. He was dirty and smelly and needed some TLC in a big way. He was originally a little distrustful but by the end or our evaluation session this teddy bear was laying in his evaluators lap begging for more kisses and belly rubs. There really is just nothing like a Labrador. Hobart is a medium sized chocolate lab. He is at a good weight and can stay right where he is weight-wise. He has a nice big blocky head and that adorable jowly look so many of us love. He has a nice chocolate coat which will get darker over the next few months now that he is a "indoor" dog. No more outside living for this prince. He has nice big paws and an even bigger heart. Hobart is learning all his commands and manners and housebreaking with easy. He is basically a couch potato most of the time with play sessions in between depending on what dog seeks his attention or what human wants to give him a walk or snuggles. He loves to snuggle with you on the couch while you watch TV or read. He's a great snuggler! Hobart will do best in a home without small children and where he won't be left alone as an only dog for long, long hours. We say this because he deserves attention and companionship - even if with another dog - and because although he is lovely with kids and all people, he deserves to be the center of attention and not share it with little ones. Plus he could wiggle too much and knock a toddler down. Hobart is recovering from his neuter and the removal of some lumps and bumps. He is doing great an sutures are coming out shortly so that he can meet families. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines, microchipped and all we need now is the very best, most loving forever home for this special and regal example of our breed. If you feel Mr. Gorgeous Hobart is right for you and you have a heart that is open to a gentle senior, please send off an email to Indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Parker Jones adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Mary Serles
Meet Parker Jones, a stunning, 2 year old, purebred male Labrador Retriever. This handsome boy has excellent conformation, a jet black coat, perfect burnt sugar eyes and a big block head. It's not hard to see why our volunteers swooned over this heart throb! Parker is a great size at about 65 lbs. He has a nice stocky Bench Bred English stature and an easy going, calm demenor. But he is a young boy and he has a fun spirit as well. We still can't believe this guy is a homeless orphan!!!! Parker Jones comes to us from the Lancaster shelter which is a fairly high kill shelter where dogs - especially black ones - often don't make it out alive. Lucky for Parker Jones, a volunteer ran into him, fell head over heals in love, and the rest is history! Parker is your typical 2 year old lab. He can be jumpy when excited and his foster mom is teaching him to greet people on all four paws. He is also known to put a couple paws up on the counter or table to search for food. So it is important that his new home not leave food on counter tops. But all this is very typical of young labs and is also easily fixed with some training. Parker is fostered with 4 other female dogs and does great with all of them! Parker does great on his walks and meeting other dogs. He can pull a bit on leash at first, but settles in well after a few minutes. A few reminders from his new family to heel nicely and this boy will be a great walker in no time! Parker settles beautifully in the house once he has had his exercise. But remember, at 2 years old he is really just beginning to be an adult since Labs are puppies for 2 full years - so he cannot be expected to settle nicely without his exercise first. This boy is doing pretty well on his commands of sit, down and stay. Of course he is very motivated when there is a food reward involved, and a little less inclined to listen without the treat. He is learning more every day from his foster mom and with some additional training from his new family, his commands will be perfection in no time. Parker is a real show stopper in the looks department. Most of the Indi volunteers were just floored by his beauty. He really is the kind of dog everyone comments on. What a gorgeous well bred Lab he is. To look at this beauty we cannot help but wonder how he ended up in the shelter. Parker doesn't show much interest in doggie toys yet, perhaps he never saw a doggie toy before getting to his foster home. He also doesn't chase a ball for a game of fetch. We are sure he will discover what fun doggie toys and ball chasing can be with some time and will come to enjoy them as much as most labs do! Parker is great in the car. He hops right in, sits right down to enjoy the ride and is a great companion! Whether running errands, taking him to dog park or hiking, he is a joy to have in the car. Parker would do okay with children, but because he is young and jumpy, we will only consider children over age 7 for this boy. We do not know how he would do with cats, so we will not look to place him in a home with kitties at this time. Parker would do well in a home with another doggie companion or as your one and only. This boy just needs a family who will provide him the love, reassurance, and continued training he needs to become a fabulous adult Lab! Parker Jones is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you feel this gorgeous boy is right for you, and you are an aproved applicant, please shoot an email to Indilabgirl@gmail.com

| QQ Lin adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Darria Fillmore
Meet QQ Lin, a darling, petite, white purebred female Labrador of 4 years. QQ Lin is cheery, smiley, sweet, and wonderful in every way. This girl comes to us from our sister rescue in Taiwan where she was saved from a horrible life of abuse. QQ Lin lived in a bathroom for 2 years and was regularly beaten. It is a wonder she survived at all, let alone blossomed into one of the happiest, most well adjusted dogs we have met. QQ Lin is wonderful in her fsoter home. She is fostered with several other Labradors and Golden Retrievers and loves them all. She is not hyper or crazy playful but she does engage in nice play and she just loves keeping company with the other dogs. She also loves dog park where she greets and makes friends wtih every person and dog who enters. QQ Lin is a good girl in the car and house. She seems to have the doggie door down pat after working with treat training and she is using it to let herself in and out to potty. She sticks to the doggie toys but doesn't have that much interst in them. She does like carrying a tennis ball around and making cute faces. QQ Lin is being crate trained in her foster home. She is a good girl in her crate and is sleeping the night through. She doesn't snore even so she is a nice bedroom buddy her foster mom says. QQ Lin is a very special darling Lab. She will do great with children of any age and would love a friendly canine compainion. She is so easy going and well adjusted that she will work in most any home. Due to the horrible life she once had, we want her new home to be aces. To that end, her foster mommy will not entertain placement with any home where she will be all by herself all day alone. That just sounds lonely and miserable and we want her to have a more joyful doggie lifestyle. QQ Lin is healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you are approved to adopt, please email donna@indilabrescue.org to be in her line up! If you are not approved to adopt, you may not recieve a response from us.

| Bonnie Li adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Leah Karlov
Beautiful Bonnie Li is our newest treasure. This white beautiful purebred female Labrador is just about 5 years of age and a wonderful medium size at only 60 lbs. Bonnie Li comes to us from our sister rescue in Taiwan where she has been in foster care for a year after being pulled from a government pound. She was originally a street dog and is so fortunate to have made it out of the pound alive. This sweet and gentle girl is a very mellow, easy going sweetheart. She loves people and adores her time just lounging and being by your side. She is a great dog to watch a movie with or cuddle with yet you can still do a fun hike when you are in the mood. She is the perfect mix of medium energy and couch potato rolled into one adorable white polar bear cub. Bonnie Li loves children and we think she will go great in a home with kids. However like any large breed dog, she can knock a toddler down. Bonnie Li is very good with other dogs but can at times be choosy about who her best friends will be. She can be a little picky and is known to bark and then run away from dogs she doesn't want to hang out with. Overall she loves other dogs thougha nd we think that she will do wonderfully in a home with another friendly canine companion. We also think she will do well as an only dog. We have not tested Bonnie Li with kitties so we prefer not to place her with cats. Bonnie Li is a non-destructive and easy going house dog. She sticks to her own things for the most part though from time to time may think your socks or other items are a toy. She is not a barker or chewer and is a really good indoor dog. Bonnie Li is housebroken and will use a doggie door if shown where it is in your home. Bonnie is healthy, up to date on her vaccines, and micrcohipped. If you feel this beauty is right for you, and you have completed your home interview and been approved, feel free to email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Hope Winter adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Alexa Gohlich
Presenting Hope Winter, a young 2 year old gorgeous purebred AKC yellow female Labrador. Hope is a light cream or white colored lab. She is really a beautiful purebred Labrador and is a nice smaller size at 65 pounds. This girl is still a youngster at only 2 years. She has a friendly happy disposition and really loves to play with other dogs and meet new people. Hope came to us when her family had to move and could no longer keep her. Hope is a purebred AKC Lab and was purchased from a reputable breeder as a puppy. She was given some training, but her family had not kept up with it, so she is learning again how to be the best girl she can be! Hope has now been professionally trained and now knows her commands of sit and down, and is learning stay and more! Typical for a young Labrador, she has a tendency to jump when she is excited. She is learning to greet people on all fours and will need some reinforcement from her new family on this. Hope can pull on leash at first, but she has learned how to heel next to her human on walks as long as you remind her that is what you expect! She settles in right next to you at a good pace once she is reminded to heel. Hope is fabulous with all other dogs! She has been fostered with dogs both small and large and does great with all of them! She loves to have a playful companion at home and also loves to cuddle up for naps with her 5 pound little foster dog sister - it's darling to see! We do not know how Hope will do with kitties, so we prefer not to place her with them at this time. This extremely healthy, young Labrador will need good daily exercise. She should do a good jog or long walk everyday and would love hikes or jogs on the weekends. She would also loves trips to dog park where she can play with other doggie friends! Hope would do great in a home with another playful doggie companion, or as your one and only. She just needs a home that is committed to her daily exercise all young Labradors need and to continue the training she has already learned while with us! While Hope would do fine with children, she is a little to jumpy and wiggly for little kids, so we would prefer to place her in a home with children age 7 and older. | Posey adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by David Willis
Meet Posey, a one year old delicate little girl. She is a darling Golden Retriever / Labrador Retriever mix with the heart of a retriever through and through. She is one spunky, sweet, youngster! Posey was found at a high kill shelter with some scrapes and bruises. She hasn't shared what happened with us. She is in perfect health with only a few spots where her fur was clipped for treatment. We feel sad that she eneded up there but we are forever grateful to have this doll in our care now and to be there to help her find the very best forever home! Posey is a very calm puppy, not destructive and an angel in the house. She is house trained and a lovely home guest. She is learning the ropes in her foster home and they are loving having her there. Posey loves to be with her people and rides well in the car on trips. Well, she does want to ride shotgun, preferably on a lap, but is delicate about it. She really is a good little girl but of course she is young so there are times she can be busy. She loves lots and lots of toys to carry about and things to do. She especially loves squeaky toys. Her new home should plan on lots of toys, kongs, squeaky toys and rope toys. She would also enjoy the occasional bully stick! This young girl would love a home where she can go to dog park or do other fun outings with other dogs. And she would love a patient owner to help her overcome her occasional shyness as well. She is in foster care with six other dogs and learning how to play tug and tumble. She does not bark or growl and sits patiently for her dinner to be served. She is just a good girl with a heart of "gold!" Posey needs training but is gentle on the leash and doesn't pull. She will do very well in a puppy class because she only wants to please you and she will be a fabulous candidate to eventually earn her Canine Good Citizen Certification! Since she is so young, her Golden feathers are still comeing in and even though she is a slight mix, she has a golden heart and attitude. It doesn't gome any better! To meet Posey please contact: Goldie Goldens goldenkissesxx@hotmail.com

River adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Martin David
If you are looking for a pratically perfect, easy, mellow dog who is good with all dogs and a perfect gentlemen in the house, look no further! Meet River, a beautiful purebred yellow male Labrador. This yellow guy is just about 4-5 years old and couldn't be a happier boy. He is a Dudley meaning he has the yellow coat and the liver eyeliner and nose. Many people just adore the Dudleys! This boy is a very mellow dog. He is a perfect houseguest and a very gentle guy. He has some of the best temperament we have seen. River came to us from a very high kill shelter where he was in danger of euthanasia. It's not too hard to see why we grabbed this prize! He is just a love bug. River is doing great in his foster home. He is very good with the older female lab he is fostered with. In fact, he is good with all other dogs and of course adores people! He is a gentle, easy going boy who takes everything in stride - not at all phased by any of it! He passes other dogs on leash beautifully and doesn't react at all to barking dogs. This guy is non-destructive, not a barker and is a nice cruiser on a walk. He loves his walks and walks well on leash right next to you. He enjoys his doggie toys in his foster home and tennis balls too, so he would love a home where he has lots of fun toys to play with and keep him entertained! River is all about love and affection. This boy just LOVES to be pet! He would likely sit up next to you all day if you just keep petting him. He adores being pet on his head and getting kisses from his people. Or maybe it's his people who love to give him kisses - either way River happily enjoys it all. River will also do fine with children. He's can be wiggly at times so could accidentally knock a todder over. He will do best with children over 7. River is a medium energy boy. He needs his daily exercise of a nice walk, perhaps a hike or trip to dog park once and awhile too. He settles beautifully at home after his exercise. River is very good about not going on the furtiture unless you invite him. And if he does, he corrects easily and immediately. River is completely housebroken and is totally trustworthy in the house. He's a perfect houseguest! River will do well as your one and only or with another doggie companion. River was briefly tested with cats, and he did well with one very dog savvy cat who stood his ground. But River did want to chase the other cat who wanted to run and hide. So only dog-savvy cats will be considered for him and if you have cats, keep in mind it may take a few days for River and your cats to get accustomed to each other. River is neutered, up to date on vaccines, flea control, and microchipped. All he needs now is a family to call his own! If you think River is the boy for you, be sure to complete an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Webster adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Carol Sweeney in honor of the Goodman Family.
Meet Webster, a darling, cute, yellow male Labrador. This boy is a purebred Lab and probably AKC registered as he has no dew claws. He is about 3 years old and has the cutest yellow and white colored face! Webster is a real cuddle bug liking nothing more than to be seated beside you with his head close to yours. He loves pats, and gives kisses! Hard to believe that Webster came to us from a shelter where no one came to claim him. Well thank goodness he came to IndiLab so we can find him the fabulous forever home he deserves! Webster enjoys his walks - in fact, so much that he can pull on leash, so we recommend walking him with a pinch collar to make it much easier. Webster definitely has had some training in his life! He sits on command, and is almost 100% on his down command too. A little bit more training and he will be perfect on all his commands! He is a fun boy to train as he wants to please his person. Webster is very good with other dogs. He does great with the two female labs he is fostered with - one is a dominant alpha female and Webster doesn't seem to care at all. He seems to just get along with everyone! Since Webster thinks kitties are something to chase, we do not recommend a home with kitties for Webster. Webster is a youngster at age 3 so he will need good daily exercise like most young labs do. He would love hikes, perhaps a jog, and of course loves his walks. He would enjoy a home with or without another doggie companion. Webster does very well in the car and he sleeps soundly through the night in his crate at his foster home. Webster is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. All he needs now is a lovely family to take him home! If you think this is the boy for you, be sure to submit an application to adopt and follow up with an email to scartersoo@mac.com

| Labby Mix Puppies! Adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Lauren Epstein in trubute to Bert the Golden who will be so very missed.
Puppy breath!!! We love it!!!! We have two darling Labrador MIX puppies. These are NOT purebred Labrador puppies but are Lab mixes with shepard. They are about as cute as they come! These little pale yellow butterballs are adorable. Both are females and sweet as sugar. We are looking for approved Puppy proofed homes for them. Puppy homes must be very committed and ready to take on the responsibility, patience and contact attention puppy ownership requires. At least one person must be home most of the time. Puppy homes will need a crate to housebreak and safely contain a puppy. These babies will go out on a spay agreement contract with a refundable deposit. The girls have their first round of vaccinations and have been wormed. If you are an approved family with someone home most of the time, please email donna@indilabrescue.org for more info.

| Benning adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Lynn Hardin
Meet Benning, a purebred English bench bred Labrador. This 7-8 year old black boy has a stocky body and a nice blocky head. He's beautifully bred and is a dog everyone loves. He has a darling expression and is as sweet and darling as he looks.
Benning is a nice smaller sized boy for a male lab. He is a shorter, stalkier English bench bred boy. He is really the most mellow easy going boy who is perfect with all people, and kids. He loves everyone and is a very easy boy to have. Benning is about 10 pounds overweight, so his new family will need to continue his limited kibble diet and daily walks to ensure he sheds some extra pounds.
Benning came to us from a very high kill shelter on the outskirts of Los Angeles. This boy spent over a week waiting in the shelter for his family to come claim him, but no one ever came. On his very last day, with very little time left, we were lucky enough to have a volunteer meet and fall in love with this boy. And then he became an IndiLab dog, on his way to a loving new life!
Benning is a great dog. His perfect temperament makes him far and away a star among Labbies. He takes treats very gently, and will sit on command! He is learning his down command and often will "stay" on command already.
He's a medium energy to super mellow boy. He loves his walks and is good on a leash. He's easy to walk and he greets other dogs so nicely that walking him is a pleasure. Benning's favorite thing is to act like he will take himself for a walk. When you put the leash on him to go out for his walk, he will put the end of the leash in his mouth and prepare to walk himself - it's just darling!
Benning loves all other dogs and is friendly to everyone. He likes being near his person like most Labs and will follow you around the house. He is a mellow guy around the house and enjoys relaxing on the couch if you allow him. If you prefer he not be on furniture, he corrects very easily and will get off with ease.
He will do great in a home where someone will give him a nice walk each day and he would love another friendly canine companion if you are gone for long work days. He is a great dog to take to the beach or even to other peoples houses as you never need to worry about him with people or other dogs.
Benning sleeps soundly on a dog bed all night long and doesn't make a peep. He is also a great car rider and will hop in and settle right down to snooze for the ride.
Benning is the most mellow easy going English Lab around. Just perfection. A nice walk is more than enough exercise for this fairly mellow English Lab. He's a calm lovely boy.
Benning is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. All he needs now is a lovely family to take him home!
If you think this is the boy for you, be sure to submit an application to adopt and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

Princess Bunny adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Greg Kennedy
Meet Princess, a darling, English, Bench Bred female made of of chocolatey goodness! This sweet girl is about 5 years old and absolutely perfection. She is so darn cute that we can't even look at her without smiling. Princess is what we call a "therapy quality dog" meaning she can easily qualify for her Canine Good Citizen certification and her Therapy Dog certification. She is pretty bombproof and is very special. Her gentle, calm and non-aggressive nature make her a lovely girl for children, cats, and almost any family. Princess is a beautiful dog. She was clearly used for breeding and has recently had a litter so her belly is still a little saggy. But this will shrink up nicely over the next few weeks so you can't even tell. Princess was turned into a high kill county sheler by her owner who said he didn't want her anymore. How could anyone not want this sweet girl? Well frankly we are glad that happened becuase her owner didn't deserve her. Not at all. She is just too special and perfect. Now Princess has a second chance!!!!!!!! Princess is a beautiful chocolate female with a blocky head and stocky stature - just as a Lab should be. She is as darling on the inside as the outsdie and will be the perfect family dog. In typical Lab fasion she loves everyone and every dog. She is happy all the time and she is a fabulous wiggler. Princess is housebroken and is not destructive. She likes to play a little with her fsoter brother and she likes the ball but overall she is a mellow girl. She LOVES her walks more than anything. She likes 2 nice walks a day and settles down into a couch potato! Princess is a delicate eater and likes to take a bite, walk away, and then come back for another bite. It's so cute. She is not food aggressive and she takes treats nicely. This precious girl is pretty perfect. Whoever is lucky enought to bring Princess home will have a truly lovely wonderful family companion. Princess is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchip. If you think this doll is a great match for your home, please be sure you have FIRST been approved to adopt. | Chester adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Lynn Hardin
Oh Chester! You handsome, adorable, big puppy man you! Just look at this gorgeous 9 month old purebred Golden Retriever. He is one cutie looking for a fabulous home. Chester is a darling purebred boy who is still a baby at 9 months. He is a beautiful boy with a beautiful coat and he has a wonderful temperament. He just loves everyone Chester come to us from a home where his young owner went back to college after buying a puppy. Obviously this doll would never have gotten all of the training and socializing he would have gotten had he not gone to someone so young and unable to provide for him. So Chester is now with us and he is doing well learning the ropes. Chester is young and playful and slightly shy. He has a lot of energy and will need a home able to take him to dogpark or on jogs or hikes. He also needs some training so a nice obedience class would be lovely for this sweet fella. We think he will shine in a teenage obedience class and make all the other owners jealous. Chester is a perfect example of what happens when somoene goes out and spends a lot of money on a purebred puppy without realizing the commitment of owning a dog. Lucky for Chester, his owner was smart enough to realize this and give him up to us. Now he can go to a forever home that is committed to owning a dog. Chester is a showstopper for sure. He is just beautiful. And his heart is beautiful as well. He will make someone a fine family companion. He will do fine with cats and loves all dogs. He likes to play so another doggie companion might be nice for him. He's a big boy and a wiggler so no children under age 7 please. His new home will have plenty of toys, give plenty of exercise, and be patience with owning a youngster. Chester is neutered, up to date on vaccines and looking for the very best home ever. If you feel this guy is right for you and you have been approved to adopt, please shoot an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Dollie adopted!
Meet Dollie, a lovely, well trained yellow female Lab. This lovely girl is truly 7 years young! She is a light yellow color - almost white and has a soft lovely coat. Dollie has a sad story like so many of the dogs we rescue. She was found running on the side of a freeway with another dog. A lovely woman and her boyfriend found both dogs and thankfully rescued them without injury! Her owners were searched for endlessly, but no one ever claimed her after weeks of trying. Once it became clear that she had no owners coming for her, the family who found her contacted us to help find her a new home. Dollie is completely housebroken, knows how to use the doggy door and is having such a good time at her foster home! She has been fostered with other dogs both big and small and gets along great with all of them! Dollie truly is fabulous with every other dog she meets! This girl is so happy, wiggly and lovable! She loves greeting people on her walks and loves greeting other dogs too! Everyone comments on how happy she is - smiling all the time! Dollie is really good on leash. She will pull a little bit at first, but then she settles right in to walk your pace with you! She has also been on a couple hikes with her foster mom and she enjoyed them greatly! She truly is a healthy, happy girl with lots of life in her! Dollie is not jumpy or mouthy, so she would be a very good choice for a family with kids. She also knows her commands of sit and down and takes treats very gently! What a good girl. Dollie really enjoys her car rides. She will hop right in the car on her own and just lay down to enjoy the ride. This girl is really so easy to have around. She has the happy labby temperament we all love and she can go anywhere with you. You could take her to work with you, run errands with her or simply drop the kids off at school with her. She is just fabulous! Dollie would do best in a home with another doggie companion - either big or small. She is not playful with other dogs, but she does enjoy their companionship. She is comfortable being left with another dog while you are at work during the day and she is not destructive at all. She enjoys lounging around the house and will let herself out the doggie door for potty breaks. Dollie is a low to medium energy girl who would love her daily walks, would even enjoy other fun activities like dog park, dog beach or even a hike. She settles fabulously in the house and is a mellow, easy going girl around the home. She is also very well mannered in the home, no counter surfing. She also sleeps soundly on a dog bed in your room during the night without making a sound. Dollie is a healthy girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. All she needs now is a new loving home to call her own. If you would like to add Dollie to your home, be sure to complete an application and then send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com
