| Kittridge adopted!
This gorgeous deep dark chocolate dreamboat is Kittridge! He's a darling medium-sized 4 year old purebred with a gentle soul and an downright adorable face. Kittridge is pretty special. Here's his story... While visiting the shelter to see another dog who was in quaranteen, we came accross Kittridge. We didn't see him right away. He was curled up in the back of his cage becuase he had just given up. When we offered him treats and love though, he got up and we saw a little wag. This poor guy was missing lots of his dark chocolate coat and had tons of fleas. He clearly had been suffering from irritated skin from flea bites for a LONG time and it showed. When we found out he was to be euthanized we spent a little more time with him. What we saw was a perfect, gentle purebred lab that just needed a little time and love to show the world what a prize he is. Kittridge has not dissappointed! This gorgeous boy is doing great in foster. He's cheery all the time. He's got great energy and loves his tennis balls. In fact he will retrieve for as long as you want to throw and often his foster mom has to put the ball away! This once forsaken fellow romps around his foster home every day with a playful spirit and shows us such a wonderful eagerness to learn and please. No one ever taught this guy anything! He is just now learning his commands if you can believe that. And he is going great! He is learning sit, down, come, stay, and heel! Kittridge is clean, flea free, and his coat is on it's way to being it's intended beautiful dark chocolate splendor. He's patchy right now - like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree just waiting to show his true beauty. One of the things we love about his look is his adorable "zipper" right down his nose. It adds to his puppy-looking face and makes him truly irresitable. Kittridge is very playful and frisky. Since he's still learning all his manners, he can at times jump when he's excited so he might knock toddlers or even little children over. He's probably best placed with children over 7 to be safe. It's a totally trainable behavior that his foster is working on and his new owners will want to enforce. Kittridge is good on the leash and loves his walks. He will make a great walking or even a jogging partner. He's a best friend kind of boy and loves his people. Whoever once owned this guy messed up big time. They let him down and in doing so, lost the best dog ever. This guy has it all - looks, temperament, sweetness, and love and it's about time someone see him for who he is - a true Labrador prince. Kittridge is healthy and should be on a high quality grain free food and flea control to be sure his skin continues to heal. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you feel this love bug is right for you, and if you have been approved to adopt, please follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org to schedule a meeting!

| Kobie adopted!
Meet Kobie!!! Kobie is a stocky, snuggly, easy going English male Labrador of 7 years. This yellow boy is purebred with dew claws removed. He's a buttery yellow color with a block head and a heart that's THIS big!!!! This purebred goof is just adorable. Kobie is a sweet boy who we found as a stray in a high kill shelter where he was in immediate danger. Boy is that is hard to believe when you see how nicely bred this boy is. He's got fabulous conformation!!!! You can't help but wonder how a dog like this ever ends up without a home when it's clear someone paid a very big fee to buy him. Kobie is a mellow, easy going boy who loves to nuzzle his person and be where you are. He's good in the house and car and really just takes things in stride. A nice 1/2 hr walk is good for Kobie and then he really doesn't need more exercise. He is just a mellow yellow guy. Kobie is a larger boy of 97 lbs and is very stocky and handsome. He's the kind of boy everyone takes notice of and wants to pet. He loves his treats and takes them so gently that a little child could give him one. He sits nicely to get a cookie and he is very good with all people. Kobie is more of a people dog than a dog dog and in the home, he would prefer to either be an only dog or to go with a dog who's not too active and not too dominant but similar to him - mellow and calm. Kobie is the perfect snuggle buddy and walking companion. He walks beautifully on the leash and loves his walks. He an sometimes pull on the leash just a little bit in the very beginning of the walk. But goes right into pace with you. He loves to smell the flowers and take his time enjoying himself. Kobie is not perfectly friendly at first with all other dogs. He can be a grumpy guy at times and gowl at other dogs. Dogs he has met and gets to know, he does very well with. In fact he was fostered with a fairly dominant female and a small pug male and did great. But he is definitly a people dog and doesn't want to meet every dog out there - nor should he have to. He's seven years old now so he's an easy cruiser who doesn't want to be bothered with all these young annoying playful dogs running up and getting in his gorgeous face. He is not aggressive - he just doesn't want to be bothered by all that. At the same time, he also loves to chase a tennis ball from time to time. He enjoys a game of fetch but is fine when you put the ball away too. We don't know how he is with water but he will probably love dog beach and a pool if you have one! We think he would look really cute waddling around in the water. Kobie knows his commands: sit, down, stay and shake! And he he loves to lay by your feet while you watch TV or work on the computer. Loves to cuddle, be stroked, snuggle, and lay on the bed with you if he is invited and you help him up. Kobie is not great with cats. He's met a few cats and will bark at them. Of course if a cat swats him good, it's all over and the cat wins, but still, Kobie will do best in a kitty-free household. Kobie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you think this handsome fella is right for you, please be sure you are approved and then shoot an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Button adopted!
Meet Button, a super sweet 7 month old black male Lab puppy who is as cute as they come! Button is a little lab puppy of just about 7 months. When we found him in a high kill shelter he was so sad and scared. This poor little guy should have never ended up in a high kill shelter at his young age, but it happens every day to fabulous Labs! He perked up a little bit on the ride from the shelter to our vet, and once he got into foster, he realized he was free and his eyes brightened and he showed some true happiness! Button is a really good puppy! He is so calm and smart and willing to please. He is proving to already be housebroken with no mistakes in his foster home so far, and he is enjoying learning his commands - he already knows "sit". He is of course wonderful with other dogs - after all he is a puppy! Button is looking for a committed forever Lab puppy home. This is a home where someone is around much of the time and where his new family is prepared to provide lots of puppy toys and patience and training! Also at his age, Button would benefit from lots of dog park and/or play days with other dogs to continue his socialization with other dogs. He is currently enjoying some nice playtime with his foster labbie sister! Button is great in the house and sticks to his toys - especially his Nylabones which he loves in his foster home. He is curious in the kitchen, but hasn't done any counter surfing at all. He is already doing great on the leash too. He also loves the car and is a good boy in the car. Button is crate trained and is a good boy in the crate. He will bark once or twice when he goes in, but then settles right down and is nice and quiet within a minute! In fact, Button settles down really well in the home. He is pretty calm for a puppy. After his exercise, he will be content laying by your feet while you work. But true to his puppy nature, he will need some playtime or exercise a couple times a day, not just one morning walk - he is a Lab puppy after all. This guy is so beautiful and has such a great temperament that we can only imagine how he ended up at the shelter. He is so perfect in every way. We just want this little man to have the best forever home there is. Button takes treats gently and is really not mouthy at all - this is great for a Lab puppy! He can be jumpy when excited - as do almost all lab puppies, so will need a family committed to puppy obedience to help him grow into a well mannered adult canine citizen. Due to his gentle nature, he would likely do well in a family with children, provided you have the time to dedicate to a puppy. Button is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home. If you would like to add Button to your family, send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Wynn adopted!
Meet Wynn, a super sweet, shy 1 year old black male Lab puppy who is as cute as they come! He is really handsome, and at 60 lbs, the perfect size to cuddle up with each evening. Wynn was taken into a high kill shelter as a stray where he was so sad and scared. This poor little guy should have never ended up in a high kill shelter at his young age, but it happens every day to fabulous Labs! He perked up a little bit on the ride from the shelter to our vet, and once he got into foster, he realized he was free and safe and his eyes brightened and he showed some true happiness! Wynn is a really good puppy! He is so calm and smart and willing to please. He sticks close to his foster mother and feels most secure when his humans are around. Wynn is proving to be housebroken with only a few mistakes in his foster home so far. He is enjoying learning his commands and is a dream on the leash because he just wants to stay close to his human. He is very calm with none of the usual lab playfulness, but he is watching his foster labbie brothers and sisters and is learning how to be playful as the days go by. Wynn just needs a little help in learning the joys of being a Lab. Wynn is looking for a committed forever home. This is a home where someone is around much of the time and where his new family is prepared to provide lots of patience and training to help him come out of his shell and enjoy his new life to its fullest! Also at his age, Wynn would benefit from lots play days with other dogs to continue his socialization with other dogs. He is currently enjoying some nice playtime with his foster labor brothers and sisters, but new places and dogs can be it little bit scary for him. Due to his gentle nature, he would likely do well in a family with children, provided you have the time to dedicate to his exercise and training as well. He is not cat tested, so no families with cats please. Wynn is so beautiful and has such a great temperament that we can only imagine how he ended up at the shelter. He is so perfect in every way. We just want this little man to have the best forever home there is. Wynn is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home. If you would like to add Wynn to your family, send an email to reader.family@verizon.net

| Lulu Belle adopted!
Meet Lulu Belle! A darling purebred black english female Labrador. Isn't she just adorable?!!! This beautiful baby is just 2 years old and is a petite girl with a short stocky English or Bench Bred build and a very nice block head. Looking at her photos, you can see she is just a tad chunky, but she loves her activities and with proper feedings and exercise, this girl will be at perfect weight in absolutely no time at all - a couple of weeks would be about right. Lulu Belle is honestly as sweet and mellow as they come. She is nothing but pure sweetness, love, cuddles and of course, swimming! She is a true Labrador in every sense - from her loyalty, to her happy, wiggly temperament, to the way she melts your heart. We adore this bunny and we know she will be a wonderful family addition. Lulu came to us from one of the highest kill shelters in Los Angeles. It's pretty difficult to imagine a dog like this is a high kill shelter but it happens all the time. Needless to say, she made her way to us in short order. It wasn't too difficult to make the decision to take this girl. We saw her in the kennel and she longingly looked up at us with those burnt sugar eyes, and that was that. Lulu Belle is loving her foster home with a great Indilab volunteer! Fostering really does save lives and this is just one example! And boy it's rewarded to foster a girl like this. Lulu Belle is exceptionally well behaved and a fabulously sweet. She knows her basic commands of sit, down, stay and more and just wants to please. She has a great temperament and a true desire to make her person happy. She can get a little jumpy when she is especially happy and excited most labbies are known to do. We need to remember this girl is only 2 years old after all! She can be easily corrected of this behavior with a little time and consistent training. Lulu Belle is a medium energy girl who settles very well in the house after her exercise. She loves the tennis ball and would enjoy playing fetch with you each and every day! She also adores swimming and has found it great fun to swim in her foster family's pool all the time - just as happy as a lab can be! Of course if you don't have a pool, she would love daily walks, trips to dog park and a trip to dog beach would be heaven for her. The nicest thing about a dog like Lulu Belle is that she is so good with other dogs. She passes them nicely on leash, enjoys their company, and has lovely socialization skills. Lulu Belle is completely housebroken and well mannered in the home. She will however find food quite tempting if it is left out at her level - so food on a coffee table should be watched when she is around. Silly girl. Lulu gets along great with the female lab she is fostered with and all other dogs she meets. She would be a great choice for a family where she will be a playful and fun doggie companion or where she will be your one and only. We dont' know how she will do around cats, so we won't look to place her in a home with kitties at this time. Lulu is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you think this girl is the one for you, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Pippy Longstockings adopted!
Meet Pippy Longstockings, a stunningly beautiful purebred Lab. This 2-year old purebred female is a light yellow Labrador, and is a lovely perfect size for a female lab. Pippy is a very sweet, happy girl. She is a typical Lab with very nice breeding. Pippy came to us from a family who no longer had the time and attention to provide for this girl. As most young labs, Pippy requires good daily exercise and lots of love and affection. Her previous family just did not have the time to attend to her. Pippy knows her commands and is a gentle girl. She can be somewhat shy and timid when she first meets you or other dogs, but she warms up well. She is still a young girl at age 2, so still has some puppy behaviors in her. So she can sometimes be found counter surfing or selecting the wrong thing to chew on. She corrects very easily and her foster mom is working on ensuring she is the best behaved foster doggie! Pippy is great with other dogs - often submissive with them. In fact, she would love to have another doggie companion in her new forever home. Although she would prefer a calmer, more settled and confident dog in her new home as she can be overwhelmed by a young, really active and playful dog. Pippy would likely be a good choice for a family with kids as she was raised with young children. However, you need to be sure you have the time to devote to this young labbie girl as she will need exercise, attention and playtime daily to remain a good canine citizen! Pippy is completely housebroken and knows how to use the doggie door. As a puppy, she should definitely be exercised well before leaving her at home alone. She would love a family that is home more often so she can get all the love and attention she deserves. Pippy is a medium energy girl who has a gentle temperment. We would like her to go to a home with another dog as she does enjoy their companionship. She has already found herself at home in her foster home - enjoying a nap on the couch or the bed - she is very comfortable on the furniture, so you would need to train her otherwise if you prefer your dog not get on the furniture. We do not know how Pippy will do around kitties so we will not look to place her in a home with cats at this time. Pippy is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you think she is the girl for you, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Tailey adopted!
Taily or Tay Tay as her foster family affectionately calls her is an adorable 9 yo black labrador who was formerly a loyal companion to an older man in a wheelchair. When he passed she moved to the Santa Barbara area to be with his daughter, until they lost their home. This is a girl who is PERFECT with cats, dogs, toddlers, children, babies and the elderly. Tailey really is the perfect therapy dog. When we met this all around terrific sweetheart, we could see that she needed a medical intervention to erase the years of medical neglect as she was never well cared for. In the time she has been with us, she has lost 40 pounds, gotten her thyroid under control, had a dental cleaning, recoverd from skin infections and had a small tumor removed from her leg! The margins were good and clean and the pathologist gave us every reason to celebrate a great outcome for Tailey! Now this special former service girl is totally healthy and ready for her new forever home! Tailey has blossomed in her foster home. She loving the children she's fostered with and adores all other dogs! Living by a nature preserve has afforded Tailey many walks above the ocean where her extreme makeover transformed her into feeling like a million dollar BABY!!! This gentle perfect creature wanted to be with her foster "sister" in her photo shoot, so thanks Mia for being her stylist. She loves her baths, but is not really interested in the ocean. She loves her daily walks and is overall really low maintenance. Tay Tay talks to you in the morning or when you've been away. She's not a barker at all, but a little vocal. It's very cute. She's wiggly and cuddly. just a super happy gal with an easy going spirit! This peach of a girl will do well in almost any situation - with dogs or cats, without dogs or cats, with kids or without kids. She just needs a home where she is not alone all day If you are in and out and have a companion dog , big or small, she will be fine and happy. Tailey is good on the leash and LOVES her walks. She's a trotter, not a runner since she is a calm sweetie. Tailey will need to continue with her inexpensive thyroid meds and grain free food (ALL labs should be on grain free food!) , to keep her weight in check and her coat gorgeous. What's wonderful, is that good grain free foods are now the same price as other premium foods and available almost everywhere! If you would love to adore this loyal and adorable girl for the rest of her life, please be sure you are homechecked and approved and then contact her advocate Rose at TheRoseGarden21@aol.com

| Garfield adopted!
Meet Garfield! This yellow handsome fellow is just wonderful in every way! He's gentle, calm, mellow, happy, wiggly, and just has every quality we love in our labs. Garfield is a lovely 4-5 year old male Labrador who is a perfect size and is the sweetest love bug of a Lab! Garfield is great! He loves other dogs, loves dog park and is wonderful with pretty much everyone. He has perfect doggie manners and is on the submissive side. Garfield gets along great with all the dogs he meets, and does great with the alpha female labbie in his foster home too! Garfield is another rescued boy who came to us from a high kill shelter where he ended up after being found on the street as a stray. How such great dogs like Garfield end up in shelters, is amazing to us each and every day. Garfield stole the heart of our volunteer almost immediately who continued to visit him almost daily before he was available for us to take home! Garfield loves people and wants nothing more than love and attention from the people he meets! Garfield is a medium energy Lab who settles beautifully in the house. He is completely housebroken and has wonderful house manners. He settles well after his morning walk around the neighborhood. Garfield is a true velcro lab, following you from room to room throughout the day, and laying at your feet while you watch TV or work on the computer. He would even be a great dog to take to work with you as he is a very quiet boy, never barking at all! Garfield enjoys his walks a lot, and passes all other dogs nicely. Garfield is pretty much perfection. He is easy to have around, very loving, and wonderful to all dogs and people. He knows his basic commands and wants nothing more than to please. This gentle boy will be fine with children as well as the elderly as he is so gentle, though keep in mind any large Labrador can knock little ones down. Garfield is also a very good boy in the car - he puts a happy smile on his face and just enjoys the ride! Garfield will do well with another doggie companion or as your one and only dog. If he is an only dog, he would likely prefer a home where you are not gone very long hours 5 days a week. He would love a home where his family is home more often or even a home where he could go to work with you! Garfield is a healthy boy who is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. Garfield is now ready for his forever home! If you think Garfield is the boy for you, be sure to complete an application to adopt and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Molly 2 adopted!
Meet Molly, a prancing little doe in a Labrador Body! Molly is a young, perfectly healthy 7 year old purebred yellow female lab with a pretty face and lovely personality. She is trained, well behaved, beautiful, housebroken, and easy to fall in love with. Molly is a super sweet girl who is a dream in the house. She is mellow but still can be active for hikes, swimming and other family fun. She will fit right into your life and make it complete. She's the perfect combination of easy well behaved indoor dog and spunky fun sidekick! Molly came to us from a local high kill shelter where she was on her last days. Luckily our volunteer saw this darling girl and rushed right down to save her! And a lucky girl she is. Molly is healthy and happy and a nice medium size. Molly is totally housetrained and non destructive in her home! She loves to settle by your feet and be a lovely companion. She is just easy, calm, and mellow around the house. Molly is also really well trained! She knows sit, down, come, stay and shake! Wow is this girl a prize! And she does quite well as an only dog in her foster home too. She loves companionship but seems just fine when left by herself too! Molly loves her walks and enjoys her soft squeaky chew toys as well. She's not much for playing fetch, likely just never learned how retrieving a ball could be so fun. She enjoys being active and playful even though she settles down so perfectly at home. She also will enjoy a few hikes here and there. Her foster dad has taken her hiking and she really enjoyed it and had plenty of energy to enjoy the whole hike! Although she should be kept on leash at first until she knows to come back to you! Molly would prefer to be your one and only dog as she likes to be the queen of the castle. She is a true princess and who ever owned her before spoiled her rotten with love which is why it's so hard to imagine her in a shelter. She was clearly an only dog before and likes all the attention. Molly will tollerate other dogs but defintely doesn't love them and prefers people and all their attention. She did fine at a volunteer's home with seven other Labs before settling into her foster home, but it was clear that she likes to be spoiled and loved without other competition. Even on her walks, Molly is not always as lovely greeting other dogs. She is fine once she knows them but honestly she is really a people dog not a dog dog. She can be a princessy brat and you just have to correct her. She corrects very, VERY easily. Molly loves her walks and gets quite happy and wiggly when it's time to go. In the beginning she can pull a bit on leash, so she is best walked on a pinch collar, where she responds very well to correction and ends up walking like a show dog! As stated, depending on who she encounters, she can be a little bratty with other dogs she meets along the way. A quick "uh-uh" is all it takes to let her know she does not have permission to act spoiled! She really wants to please her person will immediately behave when told to do so. If you are looking for a well trained girl who is the perfect combo of mellow in the house and playful energy outside, Molly could be the one for you! She is so pretty, so lovable, and such a good girl. Molly is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. If you would like to add Molly to your home, be sure to complete an application, and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Montana adopted!
Meet Montana, a happy and adorable yellow male Labrador! This guy is about 4 years of age, wiggly, darling, and just loves everyone, and all other dogs! Montana is a sweet, friendly boy who is a pleasure to have around. He has a beautiful soft coat, happy burnt sugar eyes, and a fabulous temperment as well. This boy is all smiles, all the time! Montana was rescued from a local high kill shelter and brought to his IndiLab foster home where he has been enjoying the love and affection of his people and the companionship of his foster labbie siblings! This medium energy sweetheart loves his walks and also likes to play with his doggie toys. He is great with all other dogs, so is a great dog for dog park. He gets along great with the dogs he is fostered with. Montana is a young, happy boy at age 4, so he does need good daily exercise. A long walk or a trip to dog park or dog beach would be great for this healthy boy! Of course, a game of fetch at the park or in your yard is always welcomed by him! Montana loves his walks. He can pull at times, but corrects very well and quickly! And Montana does great on car trips! He will settle right down - laying down enjoying the ride wherever you go! He has solid temperament and is ripe to be a perfect family canine companion. Montana knows his commands of sit, down and shake! He doesn't always come when called, as he can be distracted by the other dogs and all the fun in his foster home, so probably best to hold off on any off leash hiking or other off leash activities until he knows to come when called - silly boy. Montana will do fine in a home with another friendly canine companion or as an only dog. He really just enjoys being around his family and of course getting his belly rubs! He cannot miss out on those amazing belly rubs in his new home! Montana is completely housebroken and non-destructive in the house. But keep in mind, as any young lab, he will need his exercise before you leave him alone for long hours. Montana settles fabulously in the house and will lie at your feet while you work. If you are looking for a fun and friendly young purebred who is so much fun to have around and who is affectionate, this guy may be for you. Montana is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and flea control, he is and microchipped. If you would like to add Montana to your home, be sure to complete an application and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Mowgli 2 adopted!
Talk about a catch! This boy is just a prince and we are so proud to have him for adoption. Meet handsome Mowgli! Mowgli is a very well bred, 3 year old male Labrador. He is a gorgeous dark chocolate boy with a soft, luxurious coat! This stunning purebred came to us from one of the highest kill animal shelters in all of California. And he came to us on the day of his euthanasia. Boy are we lucky we got this handsome purebred Labrador out in time! Mowgli is amazing. He is wonderful with all other dogs. He loves their company and enjoys some playtime as well. He is a great dog for dog park or dog beach because of how great he gets along with other dogs. He loves the labbie sister and brother he is fostered with and is really enjoying his foster home. He enjoys some playtime with his foster labbie brother on occasion. We think Mowgli would do great with children but we won't place him with kids under age 6 as toddlers have a knack for getting knocked down and Mowgli is a wiggler. Mowgli is wonderful with all people. He loves attention and will sit up next to you, give you kisses and just enjoy being pet and loved on by you! Mowgli is playful but he is also very mellow in the house and car. He settles beautifully after he has had some exercise and really is a medium energy young Lab. He loves his doggie toys and bones in his foster home and would enjoy more of those in his forever home! Mowgli is housebroken, but any dog can have an accident in a new home, so it is important to take him outside often so he knows his potty area and gets used to his potty routine. He still has some puppy playful energy in him so it is important to exercise him before you leave him alone in the home as his foster mom has found him counter surfing at times - quickly correcting him so he learns to keep all four paws on the ground. Mowgli will do great with a great doggie companion or as your one and only. He will do great in most homes honestly because he is really a pretty easy and typical Labrador. But Mowgli would prefer a home where his family is home more often than not so he can get as much attention and affection as possible! We do not know how Mowgli will do with kitties so we will not place him with them at this time. Mowgli is neutered, up to date on vaccines and flea control, and microchipped. If you think Mowgli is the boy for you, be sure to complete an application and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Oak adopted!
Meet Oak!!! Oak is a stunningly well bred, purebred male 2 year old lab who is darn adorable as you can clearly see. He is a chocolate block-headed boy with dew claws removed and he is a wonderful medium breed standard size. He also knows his commands and is incredibly well behaved. Oak is stunningly gorgeous. However he is not in the best shape at the moment. He arrived at the shelter with a severe flea infestation and the typical flea dermatitis we see often in our rescued Labradors. Becuase of this, Oak is temporarily missing some of fur as you can see most clearly in the 3 photo. His skin is healing and his coat will fill back in completely as if this has never occured, but at this time, our beautiful boy still is a tad patchy. What we think is so interesting is that while you notice the fur loss in photo 3, you can't help but also notice the absolutely perfect Labrador conformation at the same time!!! What a gorgeous guy! Well, enough about Mr. handsome's looks because that's really the least impressive thing about this 2 year old. He is just an all around GREAT dog in every way. Oak has outstanding temperament. He loves all other dogs. He is wonderful with all people including children. He's happy, knows his commands, wants to please, and is wonderful in the house. He is housebroken, well behaved, non-destructive, loves to be groomed, pet, bathed, and most important of all - Oak is a superior snuggler!!!! He sure does love his ball too! In true retriever fashion, he will carry that ball everywhere if you let him. He loves to retrieve and is great at dropping the ball for your to throw again. Oak is good on the leash too and passes other dogs nicely. He willl do great at dog park, dog beach and honestly pretty much anywhere. We have not tested Oak with cats, therefore we will not put him in a home with kitties at this time. Oak will do great in most homes. We would love to see him go with someone who will do fun things with him like dog park, hikes, the beach, etc. He's a medium energy, easy going boy and loves to be out and about. Plus he makes such a good impression everywhere he goes. His new owner will need to commit to feeding Oak a grain-free food like Taste of the Wild, Evo Ancestral, Orijen or one of the other high-quality grain free foods. NO labrador should be eating grain and for a dog like Oak who is growing back in his dark chocolate double coat, we woud expect the best food to be provided. Oak is really a star. We know most families come to us looking for a wonderful labby to love. And that is certainly what Oak is. And he deserves only the best forever home that will realize what a prize this fella is. Oak is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His new owner will need to provide a nice medicated bath every 2-3 weeks as his fur fills in and of course will need to provide tons of love. If you feel this stunning purebred blockhead is right for you, and if you have been approved to adopt, please follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Max-a-Million adopted!
Meet Max, a stunningly handsome 6 year old purebred AKC yellow male Labrador. He is a beautiful yellow boy of about 80 lbs with a giant blocky head to die for. We do not think they come more beautiful than this yummy boy. Max even comes with his AKC papers showing his labbie lineage. This easy going boy is amazing with other dogs and loves all people. He loves his walk and an ocassional game of fetch, but he settles nicely in the house and really enjoys just relaxing at your feet. Max came to us from a high kill shelter where he was in immediate danger. Of course we couldn't believe a dog like him was in danger. Isn't it amazing the most wonderful dogs end up in our shelters? We are continuously surprised by these most deserving dogs who just need a little help to find homes. Max is a sweet boy who walks nicely on the leash. He's not a huge puller and passes other dogs nicely. Before long he will be perfection. Max is also completely housebroken and knows some commands! He knows sit, down and comes on command! What a smart boy. Max gets along beautifully with his 4 foster sisters - 3 Labs and a small alpha female welsh terrier. This boy gets along well with all other dogs! He is a great dog to take to dog park and although he is not much for playing with other dogs, he enjoys their company. Max will do best in a home where he will get lots of love and attention like he deserves. He would love a trip to dog park, dog beach and even could enjoy a nice hike with his new family. However he is most happy laying at your feet getting loved on. He loves to be pet and will sit up close to you to be sure to not miss any affection. If you stop petting him, he will gently raise his paw and put it on your to remind you he is still there - don't stop petting me, he says. It's darling! Max is a medium to low energy boy. He is a mostly mellow, easy going boy. But he can enjoy some playtime and some medium energy exercise. We think Max will do nicely with children, but he is a large wiggler so no toddlers for this guy. We will consider children over the age of 5. Max will do beautifully with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. But if you work long hours, it would be nice for Max to have a friend to spend days with. We don't know how Max will do with kitties so we prefer not to place him with them. We also don't know if Max will love the water, but he IS a Lab so there's a good chance he will enjoy a pool and certainly would love trips to dog beach to play with other dogs and enjoy the surf. Max is good in the car too and enjoys going for car rides. Especially if he thinks it's somewhere fun like dog park. When he sees an open car door, he will hop right in, awaiting what fun comes next! Max is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you think this is the boy for you, be sure to complete an application and then send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

Chaya adopted!
Meet Chaya! An adorable chocolate female Labrador purebred who is delightful in every way. She is a stocky English Lab (Bench Bred) and is 6 years of age. Her personality and temperament are to die for delicious and we think she is one special girl. Chaya came to us from a high kill shelter where we were completely surprised to find this perfect, sweet girl. At the time she was underweight, and was in horrendous condition. After time in her foster home and the very best vet care and nutrition, she is back to her former glory as a bench bred purebred with perfect conformation and a darlng disposition. Chaya was scheduled for euthanasia when we rushed to get her safely to our rescue. We named her Chaya, which means LIFE in Hebrew because she was so close to losing hers. It truly is a new life for this amazing and sweet Labrador. Chaya is happy and smiling all the time. She wiggles and wags and is genuinely happy in her foster home. She is amazing with other dogs and loves to play with other dogs. She is really, really cute. She will do great as a playful companion to another friendly and playful dogs. And she is also a calm girl so she has the best of both to offer. Chaya is affectionate and loving and happy and adorable. She loves her baths and belly rubs and loves attention and snuggles. Chaya is completely housebroken too. And knows her basic commands. She would love continued training because she loves to please especially if there is a treat involved! Chaya will do anything for a treat! Chaya is wonderful on the leash. She never pulls and she loves her walks. She passes other dogs nicely too. She is a good girl in the house, loves her toys, and sleeps through the night. She'll sleep in too if you want to which is an added bonus! Chaya loves the other dog she is fostered with. They do a lot of playing as you can see in the video at left. She will do great at dog park or dog beach and will do her best with another friendly canine buddy to play with and love. Although she is lovely with all other dogs, she will chase kitties. So we will not be having families with cats meet her. Chaya will do great with another friendly and playful canine companion. She loves to play with dogs. Chaya is a really gorgeous purebred girl who just wants to be friends with every persona nd every dog. She is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. | Sunflower adopted!
Meet Sunflower, an adorable yellow Labrador youngster of about 1 year. She is petitie and cute and she loves to play and snuggle. Sunflower is a dudley meaning she has a yellow coat and a liver nose and eyeliner. Also her eyes stand out and are so gorgeous. She's very pretty and petite and is only about 50 lbs. She's a small girl! Sunflower is an energetic youngster, but settles down nicely. She will need lots of Labby exercise as do all Labs her age. A great home for her would be one that would take her to dog park often to play with other dogs as she loves to play and chase and wrestle. She also loves the ball and retrieving. She will be a hit at dog park and at dog beach. She is so bombproof with other dogs that they all love her. She would do beautifully in a home as a walking or jogging companion too! She does beautifully on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. She prefers walking to running though. One she has had her exercise, she settles nicely in the house and is fairly calm. She is a pretty calm dog once she's drained some young labby energy and enjoys snuggling up or crashing out at your feet. She loves kids too and will do best with kids over 7 as she is young and playful and could knock a toddler down without meaning to. Sunflower would do great in a fun obedience class if you are up for it. She wants to please and is very smart. This girl is very pretty and is a field lab in a pretty buttery yellow. She is a typical Labrador youngster and is really so adorable. When you first meet Sunflower she si very wiggly, jumpy and playful. She seems very energetic. But after awhile she completely settles down and lays at your feet! Sunflower was fostered with cats and she loves them but she will chase them to play (like a puppy!) Most of the time she ignores them but if a kitty family is interested in this girl they need to be ok with continuing to teach her cats don't always want to play. Sunflower is great in the car and settles nicely and she is very good in her crate sleeping the whole night through. Sunflower loves other dogs, loves playing and shares her toys beautifully. If you feel this girl is right for you, please be sure you have completed an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to donna@indilabrescue.org

| Lacy 2 adopted!
Meet Lacy, a pretty 5 year old purebred black female Labrador. Lacy is a pretty girl with outstanding temperament and a wonderful personality. She is jet black, shiny, and nicely bred with a beautiful head and face. She is also a nice small size at only 62 pounds. Lacy came to us from her owner who had some health issues and was no longer able to keep Lacy. She was very sad to say Goodbye to Lacy although she knows we would work to find the best new home for Lacy. Lacy is a medium energy girl who is wonderful on the leash. She doesn't pull and walks beautifully passing other dogs in a friendly, sweet manner. She is a pleasure to walk. She is also lovely at dog park also and gets along nicely with all other dogs. She is not a big player but enjoys running around a bit and interacting with the other dogs and people. Lacy knows her commands of sit, down and "high-five." She is a gentle, very sweet girl who is well adjusted and really wants to please her person. Lacy is wonderful in the car and in the house. She is completely housebroken and displays very nice house manners. She settles nicely and is trustworthy. She sleeps in her doggie bed all night and mostly wants to be near her people. We do not know how Lacy would do with cats so we will not place her with them. Lacy is not jumpy or mouthy, so we think she would do great with children over 5. Her gentle, calm nature make her a good choice for a family with kids. Lacy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. She is now just looking for her forever home! If you would like to add Lacy to your family, be sure to send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Huck adopted!
The truth is, there is NOTHING at stunningly gorgeous as a deep dark, purebred, big, block-headed, gentle, easy-going, jet black Labrador Retriever. When we think of the Labrador, that is what we think of! A gorgeous blocky headed black lab with a Mallard in it's soft mouth. Ahhh... Now THAT is a Lab. Well here you go. Meet Huck, a beautiful, AKC 6 year old black Labrador with a gentle, calm, low key disposition and the loyal Labrador heart of pure gold. He is pretty much the nicest dog we've met in quite awhile and his foster home is just loving this big boy. Huck is a large guy. No question about it. He's over 100 lbs and he is about as gentle and calm as they come. Big yes, but we would trust him around the smallest baby kitten as he is that sweet and mellow. In fact, this guy is great with cats. He basically ignores them though he has been known to give a kiss or two to a kitty as well. He's a great candidate for families with cats. Huck came to us when his owners got divorced and neither one could afford, nor had the time, to keep him. It's pretty sad actually. In recent months he had pretty much been neglected quite a bit, so welcoming him into our rescue was heartwarming for us. He is loving his foster home, the attention and love he is getting. Huck is already trained and knows his basic commands. He's wonderful in the house - non-destructive, completely housebroken, and well-behaved. He loves belly rubs, cuddling and being bet and would appreciate a home that is ok letting this often couch-potato-ish pup some time on the couch cuddling up with them. Huck is great in the car too. He rides calmy and enjoys the ride. Afer all he really is just a cool character who goes with the flow. Huck is great with all other dogs though prefers easier going dogs to hyper annoying puppies. He is fostered with three other dogs and does great wtih them. He especially loves his foster dad who he will snuggle up to at a moments notice. This guy is good on the leash too though he is often best walked on a pinch collar. He passes other dogs nicely and is friendly to all. And Huck takes treats gently too. He will sick pretty for a snack and take it nicely when commanded to do so. Huck is really a great dog. He pretty much has it all - perfect temperament, outstanding looks, great healthy, wonderful disposition, and a heart of gold. Huck will do great in a home with another mellow dog for company. He's not going to be an active playmate for a younger dog. He will do great in a home looking for a nice walking buddy who is super calm and easy going. Huck would also be a nice cadidate for therapy work if his new owners wished to guide him toward that career path with training. He certainly has the temperament for it. He is a medium energy boy who is not a running partner or major retriever. He needs his nice walk or beach time and then settles beautifully in the house. If you think this guy is a fit for you, please be sure you are approved to adopt and then follow up with an email to reader.family@verizon.net

| Docker adoption pending!
Meet Docker. He is a handsome, gentle 5-year-old chocolate male Lab. He is sweet and loving, and great with kids! This boy is a perfect smaller -medium size for a male lab and he is truly a therapy quality boy! Docker came to us from one of the highest kill shelters in Los Angeles - on his last day too. He is now ever so grateful to be in a home with a yard and a nice cozy bed to sleep on! He likes having a new doggie friend to hang out with too. He gets along great with the alpha female lab in his foster home. Docker is already well trained! He knows his basic commands, such as come, sit, down and stay. Someone spent some time training this boy in his previous home - who knows how he ended up lost and in a shelter. Docker wants to please and can easily learn more... he is a great candidate to do therapy work due to his calm and gentle temperment! Talk about a total love bug too. Docker is so happy to cuddle up and snuggle; he'll be more than happy to curl up in your lap. He sticks close by and likes to hang out with you and see what you’re up to. He’s a wonderful companion. Docker walks fabulously on a leash also. He walks right beside you and doesn't pull at all - what a joy to walk! His foster mom is teaching him to sit at the curb before crossing the street now too! Docker may enjoy playing fetch once or twice - and he will bring the ball right back to you. But he's really not much for playing and would much prefer to hang around the house with you and be a loving companion. Docker gets along great with other dogs as well as kids. He's a submissive boy who is a lover not a fighter. He would do great as an only dog or with another doggie companion. He would also be a great choice for a family with kids as he does great with the 6 year old girl in his foster home. But keep in mind any excited lab could knock a child down. Docker is also a nice dog to have around when you are alone in the home. He barks at all the right things and does not consistently bark at nothing. He will alert you to anyone coming to your door or onto your property. It's actually fun to watch him "patrol" his yard for any intruders/critters that may have made their way in. This guy is just the sweetest boy ever! Everyone in your family will fall quickly in love with Docker and his adorable personality! If you are interested in seeing Docker and feel that you could give him his "forever" home, please complete an application and then follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com.

| Sarge adopted!
Meet Sarge (Sargent), a super sweet, adorable, purebred English, mellow yellow male Labrador of 8 years young. This big huggy bug is 100 lbs. of delicious love!
Sarge came to us from a loving family in Santa Barbara that due to a move, could no longer keep this boy. This was not an easy decision for this family, but lucky for us they contacted Indi Lab and is on his way to find his forever home.
Sarge gets along great with the two other labs he is fostered with. He would make a great doggie companion or would do well as your one and only dog in the house. He has nice house manners and a joy to have around. He doesn’t beg for food and waits until he’s invited up onto your bed. He loves to be with his people and will settle when you settle. He loves to snuggle and get rubs on his tummy. Sarge is a fun, lovable boy! He loves his walks and does fine with a moderate walk of two each day. He is a medium to low energy level dog who doesn't need a ton of exercise but is a fun boy who loves playing tug-a-war. So he's the perfect mix of fun playfulness, and mellow calmness after his exercise. Sarge does well on the leash and likes carry it when he walks. He can tend to pull on the leash in the beginning of his walk but does great after just a little bit. And if you aren't up for ANY pulling, he does beautifully on a pinch collar with no pulling at all. This easy going boy is just a joy. His fun and happy personality make him a wonderful boy to have around. Due to his large frame, Sarge had both of his knees replaced between ages one and two and should probably lose a few pounds to help keep his joints healthy. He also has a harmless fatty tumor under his right front leg that the owners opted not to remove. Sarge is completely housebroken and non-destructive when left alone. He will do fine with children though any Lab can knock a toddler over without meaning to. He loves his fosters siblings (5 kids ages 7-16), enjoys lounging around the house, in the yard or his dog bed. Sarge is yummy in every way. He'll bark to let you know someone is coming up your walkway, but them greet them with hugs and kisses. This boy has a great temperament and age for hanging out with you wherever you go! Sarge is in great health, sound, neutered, and will be up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped. You will not regret adopting this bear- he is truly wonderful in every way!!
If you think Sarge is the one for for you, please shoot an email to amwagner@me.com ONLY if you have already been homechecked and approved.

| Duce adopted!
Meet Duce, a super sweet, adorable, purebred male Labrador of 8 years young! This cuddle bear is a gorgeous white labbie boy who is your typical happy, wiggly lab and he has stolen all of our hearts. Duce came to us from a very high kill shelter in the Inland Empire. We took one look at this boy and knew he needed to come home with us! He is a beautifully bred English or bench bred boy with a perfect blocky head and short stalky body. He is currently a bit overweight, but with a limited kibble diet and some exercise, this boy will lose his extra pounds in no time! He is already enjoying some great exercise at his foster home! And he has been started on his limited kibble diet, although in typical lab fashion, he would love to be eating more - no suprise. Duce is great with other dogs both big and small and gets along great with the 3 other labs he is fostered with! He would make a great doggie companion or would do well as your one and only dog in the house. He has nice house manners and a joy to have around - always a smile on his face. Duce is a fun, lovable boy! He loves his walks and does fine with a moderate walk or two each day. He is a medium to low energy level dog who doesn't need a ton of exercise but is a fun boy who also enjoys a game of fetch. So he's the perfect mix of fun playfulness, and mellow calmness after his exercise. Duce is pretty good on the leash and passes other dogs nicely. After a vet visit and neuter, this doll baby went into his foster home where he has been doing beautifully with his foster labbie siblings! He now has a clean bill of health and is ready to find his forever home! Duce is completely housebroken and non-destructive when left alone. He will do fine with children though any Lab can knock a toddler over without meaning to, so kids age 5 and over are best. He enjoys lounging around the house on his dog bed or chewing on a nice dog bone. Duce is a perfect companion. He'll lay at your feet while you read, hand out with you to watch a movie, or go on a hike with you when you feel like doing the great outdoors. He'll even do fine if you can't walk him for a day or two. This boy is a great temperment and age for hanging out with you wherever you go! Duce is in great health, sound, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you would like to bring Duce into your family, be sure to complete an application and send an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Ripley adoption pending!
Meet Ripley, a beautiful silky jet black boy. This young American Field Lab is just a year old and is tall, lanky, and adorable. Ripley is one year old meaning he is still a puppy. He's darn calm for a puppy for sure, but he IS still a puppy and as such needs lots of dog park, ball throwing, exercise, and love! He loves dog park, children, and retrieving! He will be great for a family who wants a super freindly retrieving boy. Ripley came to us from a high kill shelter that currently is euthanizing at an alarming rate. At the time we had room for only one additional dog on our roster but when we saw Ripley and knew his fate, we simply had to take him in or he would have been lost forever. This boy is very underweight at bout 60 lbs and should be closer to 70 and he is just completing recovery from a nasty cold which really took him out for awhile. He is bouncing back really well and it's wonderful to see him getting so healthy. Ripley is a tiny bit timid at times and shy. But he warms up very quickly into a big lover. He is a submissive dog for sure and will defer to any dog more dominant than he is. He is a gentle, sweet soul who will do beautifully with almost any other dog. That said, we would love to see him with an equally sweet dog if he is to go to a dual dog household. Ripley would also do beautifully as your one and only. Initially Ripley would not sleep in the house through the night. He would kennel up in his crate until about 2 am and then cry to go outside to stay. He also did not like being in the house during the day. He clearly never was inside before. Now however, he sleeps the night through in his crate and he is enjoying being inside with the family. He's seeing that the life of a loved dog is pretty great. Ripley is great with kids but we feel certain toddlers will be toppled due to the fact that he is tall and a puppy. He is fabulous with cats. He ignores them making him a great candidate for families with kitties. Ripley love his ball more than anything and will retrieve forever and a day. As long as you will throw he will retrieve. At dog park he is great with all the other dogs and will share his ball during a retrieve session. He is good on the leash and good in the car. Ripley is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you fell this tall drink of water is what you are looking for in a forever companion, contact his foster mom at scartersoo@mac.com

| Talullah adopted!
Meet darling Talullah, an 10 month to one year old female yellow Labrador mix who is probably the sweetest, calmest puppy on the planet. She is a beautiful golden yellow color and is tall and about 60 lbs. She is not 100% grown yet and will be a larger dog with a gentle temperament. Talulah is a slightly shy, gentle girl who is wonderful with other dogs. She's playful and loves dog park and socializing with other young, playful dogs. She loves to play and walk and go out and about, but she also settles nicely after her exercise. Talullah is a young girl - still a puppy though she is a quite easy going and looks full grown. She really does still need training and learning more about the world. She loves toys but is still learning what is and is not a toy in her home. At first she though pillows were toys but now knows they are not. She really likes learning and wants to please and will take to training and instruction very well. This girl is a prize for the right now. She is a zen doggie who loves to be with her person. She will do find with children however she is still a little shy and crazy kids might startle her so we prefer children with outstanding animal manners for this girl. She deserves to go to a home that will let her come out of her shell and settle in without too much nuttiness. Talullah is very special. She will come to you and let you just stroke her gently while she sits calmly taking in all in. A minute later she will romp with a buddy quitely but playfully and then come back to you. She has a wonderful spirit and a lovely loyal and fun nature. Talullah seems to be housebroken so far. She is still learning her command and so far is doing pretty well on leash. A nice puppy obedience class would really be great for her to become perfectly polished. She is healthy and gorgeous but is recovering from a little dermatitis on her skin and ears due to fly bites from living outdoors. As this continues to heal up she will look even lovelier with that beautiful tail and coat she has. We think Talullah is mixed possibly with Anatolian or Great Pyranese due to her long stunning tail and rear double dew claws. She is regal and stunning to look at! Talullah is a great choice for a family looking for a playful and sweet dog and will be great with another young playful dog or as your one an only if you plan to be with her or take her for lots of outings and exercise. Talullah is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel this beauty is right for you, please be sure your application is in order and you are approved. Then feel free to email IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Cecil adopted!
Cecil is a gorgeous red tri-colored (red/white and caramel with caramel eyes) miniature Australian Shepherd. This purebred beauty came to IndiLab rescue with his labby brother after his current family had a change in circumstances that required the family to re-home them. He is 2 years old, 32 lbs. and stands about 15" high and he's an absolute PRIZE! Aussies can be very high energy, but that's not Cecil. He has the perfect temperament to be a great companion and has only needed a nice long play session in the evening to settle nicely. He's a calm, settled boy who could be an excellent therapy dog. He's friendly with the three dogs he is fostered with (an Aussie, Lab and Cattle Dog/Lab mix) and the other neighborhood dogs he's met. He's also been very friendly with the humans - adult and teens, who have visited as well. Cecil loves to sit at your feet or, even better, in your lap and reward you with frequent kisses. Cecil is crate trained, obedience trained and is non-destructive in the house. Leash walking is a piece if cake...and his off leash recall is very good. He rides well in the car too. Cecil likes to run with his cattle dog foster sister. They herd each other around the yard and play wrestle nicely. Cecil also likes to play catch with balls. If you aren't there to soft toss it for him, he'll make up his own game. He likes to chase the ball on a long toss, but it's a one way run...he's not a retriever, although his foster family is working on that game with him and making some progress. He's eyeing the Frisbee, but so far, it's only been a chew toy. He'll keep an eye on his outside territory and bark an alert if someone approaches. If you are looking for a smaller companion, Cecil's your man. He'll do great on his own or with another smaller lab. Cecil is neutered, up to date in his shots and ready for his forever home. If you have been approved to adopt, Please contact reader.family@verizon.net

| Jolly Pepper adopted!
Meet Jolly Pepper, a darling black female Labrador of about 5 years. This sweet girl is pure delight. She is extremely calm and easy going and just adores everyone. With a personality and temperament this lovely, it's very hard for us to imagine her at a high kill shelter yest that's exactly where we found this treasure. Jolly Pepper is wonderful with all people and all dogs. She is even calm and gentle with cats and is an excellent choice for families with felines! She even gave a nice kiss and wag when meeting our vets two cats. Jolly loves to play with other dogs when she's in the mood. She loves her walks and more than anything loves to be with her person and lay by your feet to keep you company. Jolly is a little out of shape - probably lived in a back yard her whole life with little exercise - as so she shouldn't overdo it as she gets back in shape or she may get sore. She is completely housebroken and not at all destructive indoors. She's a lovely lady in the house and the car! Jolly sleeps through the night without a peep. We think Jolly will do fine with children as well. And she may be a candidate to do therapy work due to her calm nature and gentle personality. Jolly will do fine as your only dog or with another friendly canine companion. If you feel Jolly Pepper is right for you and you have been approved to adopt, please be sure to follow up with an email to her foster family at reader.family@verizon.net

| George 2 adopted!
Meet George 2, a gorgeous male Golden Retriever mix of just 1 1/2 years of age. George is a sweet boy with a semi-shy personality and is just about 65 lbs. We met George at a very high kill shelter while visiting another dog. While there we witnessed George's "owners" dragging him into the shelter to dump him becuase they didn't "want" him anymore, They said that they had 2 other dogs and said they couldn't afford 3. Poor George was so petrified and traumatized, and shaking. Our volunteer immediately told the staff George was coming home with us. Our hearts broke for this guy and we feel so blessed to have him in our group. Poor George has previously lived his life in a back yard. When we got him he was covered in ticks and fleas and filthy and scared. Now he is clarn and groomed and feels so much better. This gorgeous and sweet boy is shy and clearly was ignored a lot. In foster however he is learning that the most fun thing of all is retrieving!!!! He loves to get the ball and will drop it right into your hand to have you throw it again! George is a medium energy super mellow puppy and loves all other dogs. He's submissive and sweet and he is truly wonderful with every dog and cat and even the ducks he meets on the Venice Canals! He loves dog park and dog beach and will do great with another friendly canine companion to be his bestie! He'll also do fine as your one and only provided you give him enough exercise and attention. He needs a loving committed owner to adore him. He needs someone with patience to let him come out of his shell and patience to teach him as all puppies should be taught. George is still getting used to being in the house. He gets kind of scared coming inside because he never lived inside. But once inside it's kinda cool! He is just perfect with cats. Completely ignores them or at times is a little intimidated by them. George is fine with the older children he is fostered with but small children may overwhelm him at this point. George loves his crate and especially loves his teddy bear who he carries everywhere in his mouth making sad faces. George is neutered, healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel this beautiful gentle puppy is right for you, please be sure you are approved to adopt and follow up with an email to his foster mom donna@indilabrescue.org

| Angus adopted!
Meet Angus, a special young 1-2 year old purebred male labrador who is stunningly gorgeous and has a heart of pure gold. Labs are puppies until age 2 and this guy is still young and active with an enormous amount of Labrador potential. He really is quite spectacular. Angus loves all dogs and all people and his foster mom says he loves to put his paw on you and look lovingly at you. He is doing beautifully in his foster home in Montecito where he is with two other Labbies who are showing this youngster the ropes. He enjoys playing with them and cruising the property. He really is playful and the labs play all the time! Angus, true to his breed, absolutely loves the water and swimming in the pool. We think he will love living with someone with a pool or with a family that will take him to the beach now and then! His foster mom says that swimming is a great source of joy for this water dog! Though hard to imagine, this extremly gorgeous boy was picked up as a stray and taken to a shelter in the northern Santa Barbara county. A wonderful woman who is head of the volunteers for that shelter contacted an indi volunteer and Angus began his journey to finding his forever family. We feel so honored to host this lovely young man into his new forever dream home. Angus is basically an American Field Lab though he has a glorious block head uncommon in field Labradors. He has a spectacular long and lean form and striking beauty. He's athletic and active and loves playing, running, swimming and will enjoy hiking and dog park as well. Angus is a very loving boy and is always to be found right next to his foster mother. Most Labbies are velcro dog and Angus is no exception. He love to be right with his person. This guy is still young and wants to please so It is important for his new family to be on board with providing the consistent training a young Labrador requires. He will need to work on his leash skills especially. He has been fostered on a lovely open Montecito property so has not been working much on leash skills instead romping the orchard with his buddies, so this responsibility to fall to his new owners. We feel a family who will provide good training or will commit to hiring a good trainer to work with Angus would be best and bring out his true potential. This Lab is gorgeous but he has much more than looks to offer and at his young age deserves the training all young Labs need to be good canine citizens. Labs love to please their family, Angus just needs some training to become the amazing dog he will be. He is intelligent, very loving, has no food issues and is soft mouthed. We would prefer older children eight years and above for our boy as his joyful enthusiasm could knock toddlers down accidentally or get them bumped and we don't want that. Angus will require lots of daily exercise in order to get that young energy used up and then nicely settle. He would be a great running partner once his leash skills are in place. Angus is healthy, neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and current on flea control., We have not tested him with cats so no kitties for Angus. If you think this young handsome lad is for you make sure your application has been filled out and that you have been home checked. That being done you may contact his foster mom at judithcoursonburton@gmail.com
