| Hero adopted!
Meet Hero, the cutest bear cub of a Golden you'll ever see. This 6-7 year old purebred boy is the most adorable, soft, cuddly guy on the planet. He is like a body pillow!
Hero is a more medium sized, medium energy purebre Golden Retriever and he is lighter in color. We have had him shaved down due to matting and his coat will come in beautifully!
Hero is the happiest boy with the saddest story. He comes to us from our Taiwan volunteers where he has been in our rescue for a few months already.
Hero was owned by a man who was kind of a hoarder with over 10 dogs and many cats. He kept them near his home but not at his home and he did not regularly feed them or provide water. The authorities were notified and when they showed up they found the dogs and cats living in squalor and at least one of the dogs was dead for weeks before they arrived.
Our rescue volunteers took in Hero, got him well, and soon found out he was such a happy, forgiving and loving boy who is so wonderful with humans and cats and dogs that we knew we would have no trouble at all finding him a home.
The only things left to show his poor life are his worn front teeth from trying to eat rocks to stay alive and biting off fleas, and his shaved coat from severe matting which is growing in beautifully now.
Hero is a gorgous and loving boy. He is like a gentle lion. He is calm yet playful and perfect in the house and car. He walks beautifully on the leash and he loves the dog park where he has many friends.
Hero is houseborken, crate trained, knows sit, shake, stay, and come. He is perfect on the leash and doesn not chew, dig, or bark. He shares his toys beautifully and he loves to play. He is a great play companion for another friendly playful dog.
He'll do wonderfully in a home with kids and cats and with other dogs.
Hero is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, wormed, up to date on heartworm and flea control, and neutered.

| Yuan-Yuan adopted!
Meet Yuan-Yuan (pronounces yon-yon), the sweetest 5 year old purebred Golden Girl.
Yuan Yuan is a very petite female purebred Golden Retriever of only about 50 lbs. She is sweet, and friendly and gentle as they come.
Yuan Yuan was found by a nice woman in a small village in Taiwan while she was giving birth to 8 puppies. It was a horrible area and almost all the puppies died. Our resuce volunteer took in Yuan Yuan and the remaining 3 puppies and her mate - a Labrador Retriever - into our rescue immediately!
Yuan Yuan took excellent care of her 3 remaining puppies and they lived with 2 finding homes right away. The 3rd puppy came to us and will be available for adoption soon. She is a black female puppy who looks more like her father - a purebred Labrador - than her mom!
Yuan Yuan is now 4 months past whelping her litter and she is a healthy and happy girl. She is ready for her forever home and you really could not find a nicer, more gentle dog.
Yuan Yuan is a very tender girl. She is amazing with all other dogs and cats. She is gentle with small animals and will likely work even with bunnies or chickens with maybe just a touch of training. She is quite gentle and has little or no prey drive.
Yuan Yuan is great with kids too - even small children.
She absolutely loves to take her walks and is very good on the leash. She passed other dogs nicely and really doesn't pull much at all. She is learning her commands and knows "sit" and "shake".
Yuan Yuan is not a chewer, digger, or barker. She is a mellow, medium to lower energy Golden. She will need her daily walk or dog park or whatever acitivity you choose and then will be settled perfectly for the day.
She is an excellent candidate for therapy work and will certify with little to no effort. She is naturally a therapy dog.
Yuan Yuan is in good health. She has a tiny bit of arthritis in one hip but it doesn't seem to bother her other than on the stairs where she sometimes will "hop" up. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, current on flea and heartworm medication and wormed.
Yuan Yuan will make the right family so happy. She will do great in a home wtih another dog and/or cats for company. She will love someone around a lot as she is such a people dog and spend most of her life on the street. She deserves to be catored to and adored.

| Beacher adopted!
Meet Beacher! The handsomest English Lab guy ever! This guy is pure sweetness and just wants a family to call his very own. He is one true creampuff. Loving, easy, mellow, kind, and perfect in every way.
Beacher is about 5 years old and is a smaller to medium sized purebred yellow Labrador Retriever. He has the loveliest smile that never goes away and an even lovelier personality.
We think this special boy would be ideally suited for therapy work if you so desire. He is that gentle.
Beacher was found as a homeless stray on the streets and ended up in a shelter far outside Los Angeles area. We learned of this guy's plight and with the help of some wonderful volunteers, we were able to get this guy transported over 100 miles to the safety of our rescue! And we are so thrilled as this boy is as good as they get!
Beacher is amazing on a leash, passing other dogs nicely. He is friendly and has absolutely no aggression. He loves his walks and getting out with his person. He enjoys saying hello to any man, woman, child, or dog that he sees. He is just a good guy with a good heart.
Beacher has great house manners and is easy in the home. He never barks, so is a quiet boy and he's completely housebroken and non-destructive. What a good boy!
Beacher is also well trained. He sits and stays on command, but really just wants to lay his head in your lap and enjoy a good ear rub. He is a lower to medium energy lab who is content with a couple walks a day and lounging around the house with his family. He'd love to snuggle next to you on the couch or bed, but understands if you don't like that and waits to be invited. What a gentleman.
Beacher is being fostered with an older female lab and they get along great. He shares toys with her fabulously. He is not too interested in balls or playing fetch, but he does love to carry around soft squeaky toys in his mouth a lot! He also takes his treats very gently as a good labbie boy!
This boy is great in the car and is so well mannered that he is welcome anywhere. His foster family is loving having him as a house guest! Beacher is as calm and settled as they come. With some additional exposure and training, he most likely would enjoy therapy dog visits. He has a lot of love to give and share.
Beacher can make your dreams come true and you can make his come true as well. This treasure deserves only the best of the best homes. And he is well worth it. His life up until not long ago wasn't the greatest. And it should have been all along.
Beacher is neutered, microchpped and up to date on vaccines.

Bouey adopted!
Meet Bouey, a fabulous 2 year old male purebred Labrador. He's a white purebred lab and is really a good looking fella. Especially when he is carrying his tennis ball around.
Bouey is a great dog. He was purchased from a breeder by his owner at 8 weeks and lived a loved life until recently when his owner moved out of the country. His owner was basicaly a good owner in many ways other than he didn't take enough time to find Bouey a home before departing and becuase ot that, Bouey ended up at a shelter. Pretty horrible.
Bouey is trained. He knows all his commands including play dead and shake. He's good on leash too and he is an obedient boy who wants to please.
He is still young and has a lot of energy. This fella needs a lot of exercise each and every day. He needs dog park, jogging, ball tossing, hikes, beach time and general fun times with his owner and other dogs. He has a love of life and he is a dog that knows how to enjoy himself.
Bouey will do best with someone committed to his exercise and who enjoys a dog who is a lot of fun. Bouey will do fabulous on hikes and outings and he is wonderful with kids too.
Bouey is a wonderful fella who will make a lucky someone or lucky family very happy. He's a plug and play guy. Housebroken, trained, and ready to go to a knew home. All that's left is a committed person who will provide this youngster the exercise he needs.
Bouey is great with other dogs. We don't know about cats so no cats for Bouey. He's a good boy in the house and loves his toys, so lots of toys and balls and kongs for this youngster.
Bouey is good in the car and loves to go places with you. He's great on leash and passes other dogs nicely.
Bouey likes kids but we think he is too young and wiggly for toddlers. No kids under 7 for this guy.
He's neutered, healthy, up to date on vaccines, and snuggly adorable.

| Sancho adopted!
Meet Sancho, an adorable yellow (white) purebred Labrador Retriever. He's a darling white marshmallow cream puff and he is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet.
Sancho is an easy going boy of about 5 years. He's currently quite plump having been overfed and underexercised for quite some time. Weigh loss will be an easy fix with this boy simply by not overfeeding him. Labs should not be permitted to get overweight as it can be taxing on their joints.
He loves to give you kisses and he is a good kisser too - not slobbery at all! Plus we just gave him a nice teeth cleaning making his chicklets all sparkley white and his breath fresh!
Sancho loves his people and he loves all other dogs. He's a mellow guy but has a frisky nature and likes to "talk" to you when he's happy. He's a good boy and settles down nicely in the house and he is a very submissive fellow.
Sancho loves his walks and walk nicely on the leash. He is good about meeting other dogs but at times if he is super happy and excited he will bark to say hello then stop and wiggle and make cute faces. He's not bee walked regularly and he is a tad out of shape. But he will get fit in short order now that he is doing his walks every day.
Sancho was originally adopted from a shelter by a nice family. They actually adopted 2 dog - one being a Poodle mix. After awhile the family found that one member was horribly allergic to Sancho but not to the Poodle. Poodles tend to be less allergen spreading than other dogs. That is when they contacted us. Sancho was a dog that Indi Lab had originally wanted to save from the shelter a year ago when this family adopted him. It was coincidence that he ended up with us after all, and we sure are happy to have him. He is nothing but pure joy and we know whoever adopts him will be so very lucky.
Sancho has not gone in the car much in his life. He's getting better at getting in and out but it is a learning process. He also had not used stairs before and is learning to go up and down just a few stairs in his foster home and is doing great.
Sancho does not jump up on the furniture and is a good boy in the house. He is completely housebroken. He will do find with kids as he is a gentle boy. He loves to give kisses and will let you give him as many belly rubs as you desire.
We don't know how Sancho does with cats so we will not place him in a home with them at this time.
Sancho will do best in most homes. He would love to be part of your life and be close to you. He would like a family or even a single person who will cator to him.
Sancho is healthy and up to date on vaccines. He is also microchipped and current on flea control.

| Huxley adopted!
Meet Huxley, a total hunk of chocolate love. This purebred Labrador Retriever is a sweet loving guy who just wants to be loved!
Huxley is a 70 lb male who is a more English or bench bred with a beautiful rich chocolate coat and the cutest face and blocky head.
Huxley came to us from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter where he was at risk for euthanasia. We instantly loved this happy Lab and were lucky enough to get him out and into a loving foster home quickly.
Huxley is a mellow 5 years-old who is wonderful with other dogs. His gentle sweet personality makes him a hit with the cats he is fostered with as well. He is a good choice for families with kittiess. He just ignores the three cats living in his foster home. He is not destructive and isn't a barker or digger. And he loves his person - all people actually!
Huxley is wonderful on the leash. He walks very nicely and passes other dogs in a friendly social manner. He never needs more than a gentle reminder if he starts to pull a bit and he gets right back in step with his handler.
Huxley is a sweet submissive boy who needs only a gentle hand for corrections. He is lovely with all people and all environments, but he does get frightened if you raise your voice at him or around him. A gentle, light correction for this boy is best. This is a gentle boy and no roughness or sterness is appropriate for a dog this submissive. Huxley is good with kids, although he would probably be happier in a home with older more mature children as he seems to prefer a quieter household. A more chaotic household with lots of young children coming and going might overwhelm Huxley. Huxley isn't much for fetch, but does enjoy his walks around the neighborhood on leash. Inside the house, he is a very mellow boy. He will hang out on the couch with you or sit up next to you and give you his paw to get more attention and pets! He sits down right in front of you for affection. Huxley would do well as an only dog or with another doggie or kittie companion. He is even good with the chickens in his foster home!
Huxley is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| OA adopted!
Meet OA pronouced Oh-eh! a darling purebred, petite, female Labrador who is a uniquely gorgeous jet black with chocolate highlights. She came to us from a rescue in Taiwan, and we are so happy to have her because she has been such a joy.
OA is 6 years old and medium energy with the playful spirit of a puppy. She is extremely younthful in appearance, size, and personality. What a wonderful combination.
She loves her walks. When she sees the leash, she jumps around and is working on sitting and staying before going out the door. She walks beautifully on leash, often staying right by her person's side. She is great with other dogs and passes them nicely.
OA came to us from our sister volunteers in Taipai. She was originally found on the street and taked into a special dog home/sanctuary there. They wanted her to have her very own forever family and luckily a volunteer they met one of our volunteers and arrangements were made!
OA loves to be with her person and is a mellow girl in the house. She is amazing with people! And she never ever gets in a spat with another dog. She is the most zen doggie around
She enjoys playing with her toys, napping on her soft beds and giving kisses. She is completely housebroken. She can be a little mouthy and might occasionally chew on papers or food left out but responds well to correction and is quickly learning boundaries. She is a very quiet girl and never barks. She loves to eat and gets excited for meals and treats but knows to sit politely for food.
OA enjoys car rides. She will hop in and find a comfortable spot to lay down, sometimes crossing her paws like a little lady which is so adorable!
Friendly, happy OA would love trips to the beach, dog park, mountains, etc. She is the ideal traveling companion because she is so bombproof in all situations!
OA is very gentle and would do well with kids, but since she is a little jumpy and slightly prone to chewing we would rather place her in a home with children 6 and older.
OA is healthy, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

| Kimba adopted!
Meet Kimba the white lion! Kimba is a beatiful purebred white Labrador male. He is a bench bred beauty (or "English") and has a beautiful conformation and nice blocky head.
Kimba is one big hunk of love! A real sweet huggable boy. He's got the most beautiful, soulful eyes that will just melt your heart. Kimba is about 2-3 years old and has energy just like any younger dog but when he's had enough playtime he will settle down nicely and just lounge at your side.
Though young, Kimba really can be the ultimate couch potato too. After all he is an English Lab and as such is a low key dog.
He's loves his toys! He'll happily chew away on Nyla bones and if you give him a Kong with some peanut butter in it he's in doggie heaven.
Because he's a big boy and gets rather excited and loves to jump up for a hug every now and then we would want him to go to a family without kids or with kids that are a little bit older, probably around 7 to 8 years old.
Kimba would do nicely as an only dog since he's hasn't had too much interaction with his foster siblings but would also be fine with another dog because of his good natured demeanor. Kimba really would really benefit with someone who would be home with him most of the day initially while he settles in. Or perhaps a dog walker to stop by. He's a lover boy who wants to stick by your side and become your best friend.
Kimba loves the car and would probably jump in the front seat and ride shotgun if you let him. He's pretty good on the leash and really would benefit from a few doggie training classes to help him learn the basic commands of sit, stay and come. Since he wants to please, you can also teach him yourself. He is already learning.
Kimba loves his grub and as with all labs you need to be careful to not over feed them since they will chow down on anything edible in front of them. We recommend a grain free diet which really helps keep the allergies in check and is overall healthier for them.
Kimba is a showstopper beauty with a darling puppy heart.
He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Malec adopted!
Meet Malec, a beautifullly bred, bench bred Golden Retriever male. He is a red - almost mohagany - male and his heart truly is "good as golden!"
Malec is 3 year old and sweet as sugar. He has it all. The looks, the temperament, and the heart that makes him one truly special boy.
Malec (aka Moo bear) is a handsome bear of a boy. Full of joy, happiness and life - this boy came to us wounded on the outside, but whole on the inside. His spirit his joy of life have helped heal him.
Malec came to us from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter where he was turned in by his owners with chemical burns down his back. He immediately had to be taken to a vet for treatment. The hair around the burns was shaved off. It seems that he was abused. However since having him in foster it is quite apparent that this dog has never been abused. In fact quite the opposite. He was clearly loved by someone at some time. Since Malec cannot speak to us, we are forced to make up our own stories about him. But one thing is for sure, this guy is a GREAT dog. He is a perfectly balanced, beautiful, loving animal who will make someone so very happy.
He is a pefectly bred boy with excellent conformation. He is a medium sized fella with a big blocky bench bred head and is definitely quite special.
He's such a happy boy, wants to socialize with everyone and be a part of everything you're doing. He has no fear and will approach any human any dog with a happy wiggle of his behind and a sweep of his tail. He loves other dogs and is even great with cats. He will do nicely with kids too.
He is Velcro…he will move with you settling in where ever you are. You his people…and he LOVES people.
He is completely housebroken, and eats very politely, but he can take treats roughly and he should be worked with on this so he is taking them gently also. Becuase he can be rought taking treats we think he is best place in homes where children at at least 7 years old.
Malec will roll over at the drop of a hat, give you his paw, either of them actually..and knows basic commands, he just needs a good reminder of them.
Malec is a strong boy who pulls a little on the leash so needs help with staying by your side..but he's very manageable. He passes other dogs nicely and is a very mellow, easy-going fella.
Malec will do best with another dog or two and a family. He's the best and with time will return to his former flame colored glory. But his spirit is still kind, beautiful and loving.
He deserves the BEST home imaginable after what he's been through. Malec has been completely treated by our wonderful vet and is healing beautifully. The areas were he was burned will cover nicely when his coat comes back in. Thank goodness this boy's spirit is intact and now we know his looks will be that way too.
Malec is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Yuki adopted!
Meet Yuki, a beautiful and docile female purebred Golden Retriever. Yuki is an angel in every way. She is about 6 years old and a very petite girl at only about 50 lbs!
Yuki is extremely calm and gentle. She is wonderful the other dogs and humans. She is patient and low key and a lot of fun. Yuki is doing great in her foster home with a little dog and and a couple of cats. She completely ignores cats and enjoys playing with the little dog. She is patient with him when he continues to want to play when she is through. After all he is a puppy and she is a middle aged mellow gal!
Yuki is good on the leash and passes other dog nicely. She is happy to great whomever she meets with a smile and a wag. She loves her walks and probably would love two medium length walks a day.
Yuki has quite a story to tell. She was actually found in a garbage dump/landfill on a very heavy rainy night by a do-gooder. She was trying to find food to eat and was clearly starving. She was brough to a vet and a microchip was found. However when the owner was contacted, he didn't want her back stating he had given her to somoene else. When that someone else was contacted, they also didn't want her back. How sad!!!
She comes ot us from a country area of Taiwan where dogs are not really as valued as they are here. We are so happy to have her here with us where she will never be hungry again and will be treasure as she should be.
Somewhere along the line someone "debarked" Yuki. At times when she tries to bark, nothing comes out.
We love Yuki so much. She is so special and deserves all the love the world has to give. She deserves the best.
Yuki is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She has been wormed and is current on flea control and heartworm preventative.
Yuki is housebroken and calm in the house. She is a quiet girl and a gentle friend.

| Buckley adopted!
Meet Buckley, a darling 2 year old purebred Golden Retriever boy. This fella is sweet as sugar and is just getting out of puppyhood at 2 years. This smiley faced angel is the best and some family will be so lucky to have this prince in their lives.
Buckley is a medium sized, medium energy Golden. He's on the thin side and is still filling out. Not to mention that he probably is underweight from getting not the best care or food. He is really a prize and has enormous potential to be the best trained dog. Not to mention he is so darn gorgeous.
Buckley was a stray found and taken to the highest kill shelter in California. He had little to no chance of being adopted there - especially because he came down with kennel cough so fast and became pretty sick.
When we first met Buckley we could see that he was just your typical young Golden and was slightly shy but still sweet and playful and had a nice temperament. We knew he would fit right in with the Indi dogs and so away he went with our volunteer.
After healing and putting on just a pound or two, Buckley was fit to be neutered. He is now doing very well and is ready for adoption.
Buckley is in pretty good condition. His coat will get shinier with good food. He is a very pretty boy and has the cutest ever face and expressions.
This dog was clearly purchased as a puppy and quickly discarded to the back yard getting no attention. This is typical for some areas and it never stops breaking our hearts. A dog like this should have been treasured from the get go. Though there is nothing we can do about the past, the future will be a whole lot better for this special, beautiful, purebred boy.
Buckley is still learning about being an indoor dog. He's getting used to it though. He loves the attention and is doing great on his housebreaking too! Buckley is also learning his basic commands and leash walking.
Buckley is wonderful with dogs - pretty much all of them - and he ignores cats making him a good choice for families with kitties!
We think this youngster would do great in a home that is ready to do maybe an obedience class with their young dog, and where he will get the attention, playtime, love and patience all young dogs need and deserve.
Buckley would love trips to dog park and dog beach and even hiking with you. And his calm nature kicks in after his exercise so he will settle nicely for you as well.
We think he would do well with another canine companion - even one he can play with. But will be ok as your one and only provided someone is around a lot - at least in the beginning since he is a new adoption and young.
Buckley is a great dog. He has a nice temperament, easy personality and just needs the basics all dogs need. He will make the right family very, very happy!
Buckley is nutured, and up to date on his vaccines.

| Mollie Brown adopted!
Meet Molly Brown! This petite yet stocky chocolate English female lab is about 4-5 years and 69 compact pounds of perfection. We just love her cuteness! She is really adorable.
Mollie Brown has the sweetest personality and a gorgeous, shiny chocolate coat with white markings on her chest that make her look even more special.
Mollie came to us after being rescued by a good samaritan. It's hard to believe such an amazing girl was wandering the streets. But we are so fortunate to have her because she is truly exceptional. Her foster mom just adores her company. She can make anyone smile when she looks at you with her big Labby girl smile.
Mollie is a mellow indoor dog and a medium energy girl for walks and park. She is great with other dogs and enjoys being around them. When passing them on the street, she will either stop, give a quick sniff and move on or stay to play. She is already a popular girl in her foster mom's neighborhood. She loves her walks so much that she might try to bolt out the door. It is important to continue to teach Mollie to sit, stay, and wait until you go out the door first.
Mollie also loves car rides. She hops right in and divides her time between lounging and sticking her head out the window. If you take road trips, Mollie would be excited to go along! She likes to be out and about and greet people and dogs. She would do great at dog parks, dog beaches and on hikes. She is the kind of dog you can take anywhere.
Mollie Brown has beautiful manners in the home and settles nicely inside. She is not at all destructive and knows her commands sit and stay. She is a good girl when left alone for short periods and is housebroken.
Mollie Brown is affectionate and loves to be with her person. She will sit next to you on the couch or lay at your feet. She doesn't seem too interested in playing fetch or with toys. She prefers a good belly rub and will get on her back and wiggle around to let you know!
Mollie is great with kids and very gentle, but because she is prone to the occasional jumping and may barrel her way out the door if excited we would rather place her in a home with kids 7 and older.
Mollie would do well as an only dog or with another doggie companion. Since she isn't fostered with a cat, we don't know how she would do with them so no kitties please for this chocolate cream puff.
Molly is healthy, spayed and up to date on vaccines, has been wormed, and is current on flea control.

| Angie adopted!
Meet Angie! Angie is a sweet 2 year old female Golden Retriever. She is a petite girl and she is a mahogony or red Golden.
Angie had puppies maybe 3 months ago and after whelping a litter and contracting pyometra ( infectious and inflammatory disorder of the uterus) and alopecia (hair loss) as a result of breeding, her owners decided to dump her in a high kill Los Angeles County shelter to die.
Angie came into foster filthy and with a skin and ear infection in addition to the hair loss on her neck, tail and bottom. She was a bit of a "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" if you will, but we hoped with some care, and love, and good food and medical treatment, we could bring this once beautiful purebred out of her shell and back into the world as a happy girl.
Angie is doing beautifully in her foster home. She is fully recovered from her infection. She is getting daily hikes, park time, walks, great food, massages and lots of doggie companionship. She is really coming out of her shell and is healing so quickly and so beautifully.
Angie is very good with the Labradors she is fostered with ranging in age from 4-13. She has not quite learned to play with dogs or with toys, but she is showing big time signs that ball retrieving, tug-o-war, and running with the pack are right around the corner. In fact, we would not be surprised if this is happening by the time this biography is published on line.
Angie is very velcro with her person. She likes to be right where you are. Yet as close as she wants to be, she seems to have no anxiety when left alone with the other dogs and can be left out of her crate without destroying, or barking or causing any problems.
Angie is proving to be completely housebroken letting herself in and out the back door to potty.
Angie has learned some basic commands and does not pull on the leash and passes other dogs perfectly.
Angie loves food. She is treat motivated though she takes treats very, very gently.
Angie is perfect riding in the car - even with several other dogs. She is learning to get into and out of the car on her own. Sometime she needs help but she is getting it and likely will be perfect by the time someone meets her for adoption.
Angie will do best in a home where she will get a lot of attention and love, plenty of exercise on trail walks and where someone is patient allowing her to come out of her shell.
Angie has been spayed, is up to date on vaccine and microchipped. She has been wormed and is current on flea control. She is currently completing a course of antibiotics for her skin infection and has been given a clean bill of health by our vet!

| Brad adopted!
Meet Brad! He is a gorgeous, purebred, 5 year old, medium sized yellow lab with a sweet face and a laid back attitude. He is such a happy boy always greeting people with a smile and wagging his tail!
Brad is just full of love. He came to us from Taiwan where he was found as a stray, rescued and fostered before being sent to us to find his new forever home in the States. We were so fortunate to welcome Brad because he really is just the best boy.
Brad is super mellow inside and has beautiful house manners. He is affectionate and enjoys to be with his person. You will often find him walking around the house with his soft toys which is so adorable. He is working on sit and stay with his foster mom...English isn't his first language so he's catching up!
Brad loves his walks and might dart out the door, but once outside he walks beautifully and will stay right by your side. He passes other dogs perfectly. He loves meeting other dogs and is very respectful of them while out for walks and hikes and would probably enjoy trips to the dog park and dog beach.
Brad also enjoys car rides and jumps right in. He divides his time between lounging and sticking his head out the window. He truly is the perfect traveling companion!
Brad would do great in a home with another dog that isn't an alpha or as your one and only. He would also do well with kids because he is such a gentle boy. He is such a chill guy that he would be a good candidate for therapy and for someone who is retired. He is known to chase cats, so no homes with kitties please.
Brad is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, Heartguard and flea control.

| Pax adopted!
Meet Pax! Pax is a gorgeous mahogony, purebred Golden Retriever who is ready for his forever family. He is 3-4 years old and weighs in at 78 pounds. He is one hunky looking guy!
Pax came to us from a high kill shelter where his owners turned him in after losing their home. They didn't realize there was a rescue for retrievers! Pax's owners met one of our volunteers after turning him in and we found out more about his history. He has been a beloved boy his whole life and lived with 2 small children. He was mostly an outdoor dog but now he enjoying the pampered indoor life all dogs deserve!
Pax has a face that keeps his foster family oooohing and aaaahing! He is super adorable and his personality matches his super cute looks. He is the just the right amount of fun, happy dude and calm, easy-going snuggler!
Pax likes to be around his foster family. He loves to lie around on his teenage foster girl’s rug while she listens to music and reads. He also likes to hang out with his foster boy while he watches tv. Pax loves having his people around the house with him. He is wonderful with kids and is a good choice for families with kids.
Pax is not just good with people, but he is also good with other dogs. Right now he has 3 other Labradors living with him and they all get along great. He is non-confrontational. On the first night at his foster home one of the other dogs tried to act like the boss. He just walked the other way and avoided any problems. They now all sleep happily together at night.
Speaking of sleeping, Pax sleeps all night long in his crate. He even puts himself in the crate during the day to take a nap. He also uses the doggie door to take himself out to use the restroom and is completely housebroken! What a great guy!
Pax is looking for a forever family. He would love to cuddle on the couch, take leisurely walks around the neighborhood, and go to dog park or dog beach. He does need a family who keeps food off their counters. He loves to check to see if anything has been left out. However, that is how it is with so many dogs.
Pax has been neutered and is up to date on his shots. Are you ready to take this beautiful boy home?

| Bellefleur adopted!
Meet Bellefleur, a pretty flower of a girl of only 7 months. This baby is a super sweet girl who is a nice smaller size of about 40-45 pounds although she is a baby and will grow a bit more.
Bellefleur came to us from a very high kill shelter in the Inland Empire. She was dropped off by a breeder because due to some unfortunate accident as a baby, she has only about 8 inches of tail. What you see in her pictures is what you get. There is no more tail hiding somewhere!
Pretty flower has a gorgeous chocolate shiny coat and is a beautiful dark chocolate girl. She is a true beauty but her looks are only part of what makes Bellefleur such a great Labrador. She has outstanding temperament and is such a lover.
Bellefleur can be a bit scared and shy at first, but will warm up to you quickly and her happy labby personality comes out. The more her new family continues to socialize her by taking her lots of places, the more comfortable she will become - of course she is still a youngster.
Belle is a young Lab who will need good daily exercise. She is good with other dogs and would love to go to dog park with you for play dates. She will do great with another playful friendly canine companion too.
Belle is quite nervous around kitties, as the only ones she has met have immediately hissed and swatted her nose. We think she will be fine in a household that also has feline friends.
Bellefleur is completely crate trained and good in the house. But she is young and loves her toys, so her new family will want to remember that she is still a lab puppy and could still select the wrong item to chew on, so perhaps a nice crate for her when her family leaves her at home would be best.. Her new home should have lots of nice toys for her, and especially chew toys like nylabones, rawhides, kongs and the like.
Pretty flower is your typical labbie girl who when excited will try to jump up on you. She is easily corrected, and will learn quickly with a gentle hand. She will do great with children, but may be a little too wiggly for tiny toddlers even though she will love them.
She is a real lover and adores all people. She likes to give kisses and lay her head in your lap. She is a submissive girl who would love a confident loving family to will continue to involve her in all the fun activities labs love to do.
Bellefleur will do best in a home where she will get the good daily exercise all young Labs need and also trips to dog park and dog beach to meet and play with other dogs. Belle is a medium energy girl and is everything we look for in our Labs. She is a good car rider. She knows sit, and would love to learn more with her new family.

| Marlee adopted!
Meet Marlee, a beautiful 4 year old female Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever mix with beautiful, soulful eyes. She has the pretty look of a Golden Retriever without the long fur and feathers. She is really cute.
Marlee came to us via an Inland high-kill shelter where she arrived as a stray. When no one came for her, we decided she would come home with us.
Marlee is a very sweet girl. She loves her person and people and is very velcro wanting to be where you are and seeing what you are doing. She likes to lay her head in your lap and loves being pet and getting belly rubs.
She is housebroken and in beautiful condition so she was not an outdoor dog. She was definitely loved by someone. Marlee is a medium energy girl. And can even be a mellow to couch potato dog depending on her mood.
She is very good in her crate. Sometimes she will whine or bark for a minute or two and then settles right down.
Marlee is still a little insecure. She has a little anxiety when left alone and needs to be in her crate. If she is crated she does beautifully until you return. Once she is used to her new home and fully settled in, she will feel much more secure being left alone, but until she is fully settled in, her new owners will want to crate her to keep her secure.
Marlee is good with other dogs and is doing well with the dogs she is fostered with - two male Labradors. She has not previously met many other dogs in her life we can tell and can be a tad insecure at first with new dogs. Once she has met a dog she is fine with them and will be good friends.
Marlee will do best in a home where someone is home much of the time - maybe a young retired couple or person might work well - or somoene who works from home. We think she would do beautifully and continue to blossom with another very balanced and sweet canine companion. Another friendly dog might serve as a guide for her as she gets more socialized.
We also think she will do find as an only dog but will need to be crated when alone until she is fully settled into the home in a month or so. She cannot be left out in a yard or she gets anxious in a new environment. After she settles in she will be fine in the yard. But at first she will do better in her crate.
Marlee loves her walks and is a good girl on leash. She can pull a bit but corrects well and loves to be out and about with her person. She would love a nice 1/2 hour to an hour walk each day.
Marlee also likes the dog park. She is getting better and better at dog park each day too. In time she will be miss popular!
Marlee is very beautiful. You can't help but notice her striking looks. She is just the best combination of the warm golden coat and burnt sugar eyes alone with the labby conformation. She is really a pertty girl.
Marlee is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines
If you feel you can truly rescue this sweet heart and give her a little time to adjust, you will be rewarded in spade with so much love.

| Roxy adopted!
Roxy is a gorgeous mahogany, purebred Golden Retriever who is ready for her forever family. She is 7 years old.. She is a beautiful, sweet petite girl.
Roxy's owner was a soldier who was recently re-deployed. He realized her had to give Roxy up. He gave her to a woman with another dominant female dog and the two dogs did not get on so she came to us.
Roxy's story is a sad one. She spent nearly her whole life in an outside dog run, listening to the little dogs inside the house. She was a completely outdoor dog, which is a shame considering she loves to be part of the family and near you all the time. She is a natural with all humans and pure joy to be around.
Now that she has an indoor life she seems so happy. She settles beautifully in the house at your feet and is no trouble. She is even pretty good with the cats.
Roxy loves to lie around with her 12 year old human foster boy while he watches tv. Roxy loves having her people around the house with her. She also does well outside in the yard, however, for those families who work outside the home.
Roxy would prefer to be your one and only, or she might do well with a submissive, well adjusted canine companion. She doesn't appreciate what dominant dogs have to offer, and so would not do well at dog park, or walking off leash. Roxy is a picky dog and does not like all other dogs - some she is totally fine with though. In her foster home she does well with one of the other dogs but not the other dog who is a very dominant female.
Roxy is crate trained and will sleep all night long in her crate.
She appears to be fine with cats, sleeping peacefully with one also sleeping on the floor, ten feet from her. When one of the cats in her foster home gave her a hard time, Roxy barked at the cat but when corrected stopped and laid down. She seems to be a good candidate for homes with cats.
Roxy would love to cuddle on the couch and take leisurely walks around the neighborhood - on leash of course.
Roxy has been spayed and is up to date on her shots. Are you ready to take this beautiful girl home?

| Amber Lin adopted!
Meet Amber Lin, a little 45 lbs purebred female Lab puppy of just over a year. This jet black dolly is so sweet and adorable. Amber is a small girl so a great size for someone wanting a smaller Labrador.
Amber Lin is a young Lab who loves to play and love her toys. She loves all other dogs and is good with cats though she does like to chase them and play with them.
This cutie is a medium energy Labrador who loves dog park, and playing and jogging with her person. If she has her exercise she is wonderfully calm and mellow afterward. She will go in her crate for a nap or pass out in the middle of the floor.
She is a youngster still though and really needs a crate to be safely contained and out of trouble when you are out. She absolutely will mistake wires or sunglasses, etc for chew toys but is learning FAST! She will do best in a home filled with nylabone ultra toys, kongs, stuffed toys and many other puppy toys so that she quickly learns what is and is not hers. Teaching a dog what toys are theres is easy so long as you have enought options available to them!
Ambers foster mom believe Amber will be a good candidate to train for therapy dog work. For starters, she has a naturally calm temperament that is inherant to her personality and will only be more apparent as she gets older. Also she is very friendly and seems to love all people and all dogs.
Amber is good on the leash. She loves her walks and would love to jog with you on short jogs. She passed all other dogs nicely.
She would love dog park and dog beach as well.
Amber came to us from Taipei where a college student bought her from a breeder. The college student left her at the vet and never came to pick her up - common for college kids who buy puppies and become overwhelmed. She we turned over to us and we are thrilled to have her.
Amber will do best with somoene around most of the time as she is still young. She would love a friendly canine companion but could do fine as your only too. She will need a crate for sure to begin with.
She will do great with kids and loves them but she will probably mistake the kids toys for her toys so that is a concern since children are awful at picking up toys and their toys tend to have parts that can choke dogs or cause blockages. Not to mention the kids being upset when their favorite toy is damanged.
Amber is a special girl. Whoever adopts her will be lucky indeed. She will train up to be perfection and can do therapy work. We hope her new owner will do classes to get her her canine good citizen!
Amber is a healthly little girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines and micrcohipped.

| Buttercup 2 adopted!
Buttercup is a gorgeous yellow creme puff of a girl who is just the sweetest doll baby. She's a 4-5 year old purebred who is a very gentle, calm and friendly girl with an outstanding temperament and disposition.
Buttercup came to us from a very high kill shelter. We don't know how this precious girl ended up in a place like that. She has adjusted extremely well in her foster home and seems to be a perfect dog!
Buttercup is a such a happy, wiggly girl and really wants to be part of the family. She's what you call a velcro dog who just wants to be by your side all the time - but in a nice way - not a clingy way. She is pure joy. She would be the perfect dog to hang out at your feet when you work on the computer or watch TV or to take on a leisurely walk around the neighborhood or stroll along the strand on the beach.
Buttercup gets along beautifully with her foster siblings but would also do nicely as an only dog. She has been cat tested so she could also go to a home that has kitties too. Every now and then Buttercup will jump up and give you a big smiling hug, so we would want her to go to a home with kids over 7 years old so she wouldn't accidentally excitedly knock them down.
Buttercup is completely potty trained and hasn't had any accidents in her foster parents home. She walks nicely on the leash and enjoys car rides while sitting nicely on the seat looking out the window watching the other cars go by.
Buttercup is definitely a lounging kind of mellow girl. We haven't seen her playing too much with toys or balls, but if you put a Nylabone in front of her she'll happily chew away.
She's truly a very special girl and whoever is lucky enough to adopt her will love everything about her.
Buttercup is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Charlie Black adopted!
Meet Charlie Black, the most handsome, jet black, purebred Lab. At just 4 years of age, this beautiful bench bred hunk is a wonderful guy and so lovable.
Charlie is a very nicely bred blockhead. He is bench bred (English) which a stocky conformation. He a true hunk of gentle doll baby at 100 lbs.
Charlie is a mellow, mellow, mellow guy. He loves to be right by you, getting pet, and loves his walks.
Charlie is very good with other dogs and doing great with the other dogs in his foster home and even seems ok with the cats.
His foster mom says that Charlie maybe has never seen a cat before. He may actually be scared of the cats as he goes the opposite direction of them!
Charlie was turned into the high kill Lancaster shelter by his owners who didn't want him anymore. I guess we just don't get that. A dog this beautiful and this sweet deserves only the best home.
Charlie is one fo the most handsome Labs we have seen and certainly one with the best heart.
Charlie will do great with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. He will do great with cats too.
Charlie is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Blaze adopted!
Meet Blaze, the sweetest, darling, male Golden Retriever who loves to be loved. This 2 year old mahogany Golden is on the smaller side at 60 pounds and is a lovely combination of playful energy and nice indoor mellowness.
He does need his daily exercise as he is still a young boy at age 2, but he is the perfect mix of fun and easy. He is a gentle boy who loves to be loved and pet. He will sit right up next to you just to get attention and nudge you with his nose when he wants more attention.
Blaze came to us from a high kill shelter were he was found as a stray and we rescued him just in time. Hard to believe he ended up at a shelter, because he is just a treasure to have as a pet! Unreal that a dog this amazing ended up there.
Blaze knows sit, down and come commands. He walks so well on leash, you almost won't know he's there with you. Blaze is a very submissive boy who gets along very well with other dogs. He is fostered with another male Golden and the two get along well. He would do well as an only dog or with another doggie companion.
Blaze settles beautifully in the house after he has had his exercise. He is housebroken and not destructive, but as any dog, he should be watched at first in his new home. He is also very good in the car, just laying down while you drive.
Blaze loves to play fetch! He would love a home where he can play fetch each and every day. He is also doing very well with the kids he is fostered with so we think he would do well in a home with children. Blaze is a gorgeous, sweet, lovable boy who deserves a fabulous home! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

| Rincon adopted!Meet Rincon, a beautiful male purebred puppy of 1 year. He is a yellow medium sized butterball full of sweetness. Rincon was found as a stray on the street and brough into a very high kill inland county shelter. He was petrified in the shelter as he is a young submissive dog and it was stressful for him. When we first met him there was no quesiton that we would save him. The high kill shelters are no place for a dog like this! Even if and when dogs ARE adopted, it is always to the worst outdoor homes. Some fates are worse than euthanasia. Rincon is a typical sweet purebred Lab. He is young and darling and cute and all that. He's cuddly and sweet and it's very hard not to fall in love. Rincon is a slightly shy boy who hasn't had a ton of xposure to the outside world. He is enjoying living inside the house and loves his foster home! He has learned the doggie door quickly and is going outside on his own to potty. Rincon is doing great in foster. He loves his foster mom and dad and their 2 older teenage children. He also loves the 3 other Labs he is fostered with - 2 middle aged males and a middle aged female. He is learning how to be part of a family and doing great. He is great on the leash. He knows sit and is enjoying getting pets and treats in his home. Rincon will do best in a home with older children. Rincon is a BEAUTIFUL Labrador. He has a gorgeous face and coat and body and tail. He's a beauty for sure and has outstanding solid temperament. His shyness will surely come around in short order in the right home. He is submissive and sweet and would do great with another friendly canine companion! Probably that would be best for him since another friendly dog can help show him the ropes too! Rincon is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you are homechecked and approved and ready for a young, sweet purebred, please email donna@indilabrescue.org

| Montana Gold adopted!
Meet Montana Gold, a beautiful English Cream purebred Golden Retriever male of about a year old. He is a perfect Golden boy.
Montana is the sweetest young Golden around. He loves people and loves other dogs. He is freindly, adorable, gentle and very calm for a youngster. He has outstanding temperament and a lovely disposition.
Montana came to us from an extremely high kill shelter where he was in danger of euthanasia after his 4 day stray dog hold expired. We saw him and had him pulled out immediately. He came to us dirty and very underweight.
Montana is young and his feathers are still coming in. He has a gorgeous thick coat and is basically an English Cream but has a bit of honey as well. He is underweight as someone was not feeding him enough food which makes us sad. But he is healthy and in a little bit of time will be fit and perfect.
Montana LOVES to swim. Within minutes of entering his foster home, he was in the pool paddling about. He just loves it. If you have a pool that is NOT fenced you will need to consider if you want to adopt a dog that will be in the pool a lot. He is quite the water dog!
Montana loves other dogs. He likes to be near them and play and he is just a sweet boy with all dogs big and even tiny ones.
He will do great with children over age 4 as he is still a young guy.
Montana would love another friendly canine companion to be with. He will do fine as an only dog but is too young to just be left alone all day while owners work. Plus that would not be fair to him since we can find him a home where this will not be the case.
Homes that use dog walker and dog park trips would be a good alternative if you are not home during the day.
Monanta is just an all around wonderful prize of a dog. He is perfect.

| An An adopted!
Meet An An, a 2-3 year old purebred Labrador female. She is a little petitie thing of only about 50 lbs and is playful and fun.
An An loves other dogs and love people. She wants to be where you are and loves to be part of a family. She loves dog park and would love dog beach too. She loves other dogs. At times she will play with them and other times just enjoys their company. In some ways she is more of a people dog than a dog dog. But overall she is a delight in every way.
An An was rescued off the streets of Taiwan. She was found with an embedded collar in her and it had to be removed surgically. Someone had left her puppy collar on and never bothered to change it when she outgrew it. Very upsetting. She was starving and dirty and sick but she still wagged her tail. We are so grateful to have her in our rescue.
An An has outstanding temperment. She is wonderful with all people and with children. She is good with kids. We do not know about cats though so we will not place her in a home with them.
An An is good on leash in-so-far as she can pass other dogs nicely without any problem. She tends to pull on the leash which is a very easy fix. Her new owners can work on this with her. She is a small easy to handle dog.
An An is just sweet as they come. She is good in the car, non-destructive and potty trained.

| Mojo 2 adopted!
Meet Mojo 2, the most handsome, jet black, purebred Lab. At just 3 years of age, this beautiful bench bred hunk is a wonderful guy and so lovable.
Mojo is a very nicely bred blockhead. He is quite bench bred (English) which a stocky conformation. He is fully black and has dew claws removed indicative of an AKC registered Labrador.
Mojo 2 is a medium energy guy who can also be a couch potato when he wants to. He LOVES his walks and pulls quite a bit on the lead which his foster mom is working on. This is an easy fix with a pinch collar and quite frankly Mojo only pulls for the first part of the walk.
Mojo is very good with other dogs and doing great with the other dogs in his foster home and even seems ok with the cats.
His foster mom says that Mojo maybe has never seen a cat before. He seems quite curious about them and we can't tell if he will completely ignore them or if he will give chase, but we can say we are certain he has no kitty prey drive.
Mojo was found in the Inland Empire as a stray. We were certain he would go home to an owner but he sat in the shelter with no one coming. It was a happy day when our volunteer scooped him up and brough him to our foster home. He hopped right up in to the SUV and traveled beautiful in the car without a tie or crate until he reached his destination.
Mojo is a good sized breed standard Lab. He is a solid stocky blockhead and perfect for his breed.
We think Mojo will do great with another friendly companion possibly a female and could do with a little leash training. He is already crate trained and knows just what a crate is. He goes right in like a good boy.
Mojo is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Elisa Adopted!
Meet Elisa, a beautiful purebred white female Labrador of about 7-8 years. She is just the cutest girl!
Elisa is the most wonderful dog with all people and all dogs. She is so gentle, so wiggly and so happy we cannot believe we found this gem in a shelter.
Elisa is mellow couch potato to medium energy girl who loves her walks and loves to hang out a dog park or with her friends. She is fostered with 4 other retrievers and the adore her. They are so cute together playing and snuggling and licking each other.
She is wonderful on the leash and does not pull at all. She walks nicely and passes all other dogs beautifully.
Elisa is a perfectly behaved girl in the home. She is not destructive and is completely housebroken. She loves a bone to chew now and then and she loves to lay on a soft comfy bed.
Elisa knows her basic commands like sit, down, stay and shake. She loves to give you her paw.
She is wonderful with food and has no food aggression or toy aggression with other dogs. She is great at sharing toys and space and she is a typical happy Lab.
Elisa will do beautifully with any other dogs. She will also do fine as your one and only. She will do well with little kids too as she is so gentle.
We cannot believe we found this angel in a high kill shelter. When we found her her teeth needed to be cleaned and one needed to be removed. Her nails were grown out very long and she had a few fatty lipomas to be removed. she was also very dirtly.
Now that all that is taken care of and she is clean with snowy white fur and pearly white teeth, she is like a young spritely doll baby so happy and wiggly and adorable. She hops up right into the car ready to go for a ride or to dog park.
This sweety is on the chunky side and will easily lose a few pounds fast by simply keeping her food to a healthy amount and doing walks with her. Who ever owned her before did not walk her or do anything with her. Now she is getting regular exercise and on a high quality food at reasonable portions, she is already showing us she will be easy to keep at a healthy happy weight.
Elisa is a truly special girl. She will do well in almost any home. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt her will love everything about her. She is so perfect.
Elisa is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and mircohipped.

| Dutchess adopted!
Meet Dutchess! The sweetest petite 8 year old black female Labrador. She's a smallter 55 lbs girl. She is an AKC registered, purebred English female with the best personality!
If Dutchess was in high school she would be voted "Miss Congeniality"! Dutchess is a social girl who loves the dog park and meeting all dogs big and small. She is super friendly with humans, too, and gets along with all ages. She's very popular!!!
Dutchess is also good with cats making her a sound choice for families with kitties!
Dutchess is quite gentle and would be a wonderful dog to have around kids. She well behaved and calm. She walks nicely on the leash and gets excited when the leash comes out doing her little cute dance and smiling.
She is the perfect lady in the house and is house broken and non-destructive. She rides well in the car and enjoys sniffing out the window.
Duchess has the most stunning otter tale! We just think she is adorable! She is low maintenance and a perfect little gem of a Labrador weighing about 60 pounds. She will benefit from losing a few pounds as she has been living the last year in a backyard and her owner unfortunately was taken ill and unable to continue to care for her.
You can tell that Duchess was well loved. She has adapted quickly to her foster home in Santa Barbara and her foster sister, a five year old yellow Lab.
Duchess is a lower energy girl, but she has a cute trot when she is excited. After losing a few pounds and working her way into exercise again with several mellow walks a day or trips to the dog park, Duchess will shine!
She is very social so would do well with another canine companion or as an only dog, she likes other dogs but isn't necessary a big player. She will do best with another dog where she is not left alone for long hours.
She would be the perfect dog to hang out at your feet when you work on the computer or watch TV.
Duchess is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots.

| Maggie 3 adopted!
Meet Maggie, the sweetest, most loving female lab who loves to play fetch! This 2.5 year old yellow lab is a nice size at about 70 pounds and is a lovely combination of playful energy and nice indoor mellowness.
She does need her daily exercise as she is still a young Lab at age 2-1/2 , but she is the perfect mix of fun and easy. She loves to play fetch and will run after the ball and bring it back to you over & over again. She is great with other dogs and enjoys her visits to the dog park.
Maggie came to us from her owners who no longer had the time for her. They moved and now commute to and from work for over 3 hours a day, leaving very little time left for Maggie.
Maggie knows sit, down and come commands, however she knows those commands best when you are holding a treat or tennis ball in your hand, so she will need continued reminders of these commands in her new home.
Maggie is an amazing young yellow lab. She walks pretty well on leash. She can pull a bit on leash like many labs, but she corrects well.
Maggie settles beautifully in the house after she has had her exercise. She likes to be close to you and nap at your feet or on the bed. She is completely housebroken and not destructive, but as any dog, she should be watched at first in her new home.
Maggie is good with other dogs both big and small. She has met many other dogs both on and off leash, both big & small and she does beautifully with all of them. And she used to live with 2 small Chihuahuas and did great with them! She would do great as an only dog or with another doggie companion.
She is a very good girl in the car, she settles beautifully and just lays down while you drive. She rides along well while running errands, and sometimes likes to find her way to the passenger seat while you are inside a store.
She loves her doggie toys - especially soft squeaky toys and balls, so having these toys & playing fetch with her in her new home is a must! She especially likes to carry toys around in her mouth - it's so adorable!
She has also grown up with children and does very well with them, though keep in mind, any playful lab can knock over toddlers. Maggie is spayed, and up to date on vaccinations.

| Snoopy Gold adopted!
Meet Snoopy Gold, the very best dog ever made. Seriously! The best dog!
Snoopy Gold is a perfect, therapy-quality purebred Golden Retriever male. He is so mellow and easy going and is pure smiling joy all the time. At 6 years of age, this sweetie is a true companion to all.
Snoopy originally lived on the streets. He was brough into the shelter starving and with a very bad skin contition. He was missing much of his fur and was totally matted. Our Volunteer was horrified when she first saw Snoopy. She knew he needed to be rescued.
Snoopy was originally in his first foster home for 15 months with several other Labs and Goldens during which time he was shaved and put on weight and his beautiful furry soft coat came back in. To look at this beauitful teddy bear of a dog now, you would never know he once looked so bad.
Snoopy loves people and he loves kids. He is basically a couch potato who likes to be where you are and near you. He is obedient and sweet and wants to make you happy. He is obedient and non-destructive.
Snoopy is wonderful with all other dogs and cats. He doesn't interract a whole lot with other dogs and he is not playful. But he likes them and gets along perfectly with them.
Snoopy is a very stable dog with perfect temperament. At such he would make an oustanding therapy dog. This is a dog that will certifiy straight away and would do great with little kids or in a cancer ward or retirement home. Anywhere he goes he will bring comfort and smiles.
Snoopy is housebroken and crate trained. He likes sleeping in his crate at night but he will be just as happy to sleep on his bed near yours.
This healthy perfect angel is quite special. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
We are looking for only the best home for this fella. And we are asking that his new home comply with our wishes to recieve updates and photos of Snoopy from time to time as his original rescuer did much for this boy and would love to see photos of him enjoying his new life.

| Fiona Gold adopted!
Meet Fiona Gold, a beautiful 5 year old purebred Golden Retriever Girl. Fiona is sweet as sugar and has a heart as golden as her coat.
Dear Fiona comes to us from a government pound in Tiawan where she found in serious danger. She was starving a missing most of her hair. She was depressed and had no home unitl our volunteer showed up and grabbed her. After a visit to the vet her journey began and now she is a healthy dog who is ready to find a new home.
Fiona is quite special. She has superior temperament and is absolutely wonderful with all dogs, cats, and all humans. She is playful yet laid back. Easy going, yet has a good sense of humor and can always make you smile.
Fiona is fostered currently with a little dog and a kitty. Previously she was fostered with several other Labs and Goldens and she is wonderful with them all.
Fiona is housebroken and non-destructive. She is medium to lower energy and enjoys dog park or human park as well as loving her walks. She is perfect on the leash and doesn't pull. She passed other dogs nicely and is friendly to all she meets.
We know that Fiona was once adopted in Taiwan and the owners starved her. She lived on a tiny balcony outiside for a year withering away to bones. These people are the ones who turned her into the government pound and our volunteeer made an effort to get ther and get her out. We are so grateful we did becuase this dog is beyound perfection.
Fiona really has no bad habits. Her worst issue is that she tends to eat very quickly. Her new owners will want to get her bowls that is designed to slow her down OR you can put a softball or baseball in the bowl to force the dog to slow down. Or you can simply feed her a little less and more often. it's not a big deal at all. Almost not worth mentioning!!!!
Fiona is a healthy sweet girl. She will do best as your one and only OR with another friendly canine companion. She likes kids and is great with them too.
Fiona is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Luna adopted!
Meet the Lovely Luna, a happy dudley yellow Lab girlie of just under 1 year of age. This adorable girl is super sweet and about 65 She is only 10 months old, but already has a nice blocky head and is a gorgeous baby.
Luna came to us from one of the highest kill shelters in the area. From her behavior when we first got her it appears that Luna spent all her time in the backyard without much family interaction. She was shy around people and scared of other dogs. She has, hoever, really blossomed and loves her foster mother and three boys, and loves to play with her foster labby sisters.
Luna can be cautious when meeting other dogs and is learning to trust. She is getting along beautifully with her foster Labby sisters.
Luna has a soft, pale yellow coat, a quirky brown stripe running down the middle of her face, and the hazel eyes and pink nose of he dudley coloration. She is a true beauty but her looks are only part of what make Luna such a great Labrador. She has sweet temperament and is such a lover. She if firmly convinced that she is a lap dog.
Luna can be a bit scared and shy at first, but will warm up to you quickly and her happy labby personality comes out. The more her new family continues to socialize her by taking her to lots of places, the more comfortable she will become - of course she is still a youngster.
Luna is a young Lab who will need good daily exercise. She is good with other dogs and would love to go to dog park with you for play dates. She will do great with another playful friendly canine companion too.
Luna is almost housebroken and good in the house. She wants to please and is a good girl.
She consciously avoids the house cats, so would be fine in a home with lab savvy cats.
She is young and loves her toys, so her new family will want to remember that she is still a lab puppy and could still select the wrong item to chew on, so perhaps a nice crate for her when her family leaves her at home would be best. Her new home should have lots of nice toys for her, and especially chew toys like nylabones, kongs and the like.
Luna is your typical labbie girl who when excited will try to jump up on you. She is easily corrected, and will learn quickly with a gentle hand. She will do great with children, but may be a little too wiggly for tiny toddlers even though she would love them. Toddlers are at just the right height to be knocked down and to have food stolen right out of their hands!
Luna is healthy, spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and current on flea control.

| Shannon adopted!
Meet Shannon, a beautiful, petite, jet black angel. This little 3 year old sweet heart is only about 55 lbs and is a gorgeous labbie girl.
We are till trying to wrap our head around her being left at a South Los Angeles shelter where our volunteer saw her and fell immediately in Labby love. This pretty girl looks like she recently had a litter of puppies and then sadly was dumped at the shelter. Well she is safe and happy with us now!
Shannon is shy at first with other dogs - especially if they come on too strong and obnoxious. She is a very submissive girl. However once she meets them she loves them to pieces! She really does love other dogs and is fostered with a couple of Labs and 2 puggles and she gets along with all of them well. Shannon really enjoys playing with her foster siblings - especially playing tug of war. She would do well in a home with or without doggie companions. Shannon is even great with the cats she is fostered with, so she would be a great choice for a family with kitties!
Shannon is a medium energy girl who would love daily walks, hikes, dog park visits and perhaps even a trip to the dog beach too! She is completely housebroken and even uses the doggie door at her foster home! Shannon knows her commands of sit and really likes all the attention from her people. She is a little shy at first, and needs just gentle corrections, not too strong of a voice as she will get scared if you raise your voice.
Shannon is a young girl though very mellow and easy going. She would love a few nice chew toys and other toy and a few nice walks each day. She is super easy to walk since she is small and wants to please. Shannon is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Luna Skye adopted!
Luna Skye (or just Luna for short) is a darling fox red Labby girl who is about as sweet as they come. This girl is on the petite smaller side at just 60 lbs and is a cute bundle of love. Luna is just under 1 year old and is a sweet, loving girl. The Fox Red labs are truly very rare! She is a beautiful girl, with a gorgeous coloring and nice black eyeliner to accentuate her sweet & loving eyes.
Even though she is young, Luna is the perfect mix of mellow and playful. She is great for dog park or to play with another friendly canine companion but then will settle beautifully in the house at your feet. She is not a barker and settles quietly when crated. She also rides nicely in the car so she's great to take on errands or trips.
Because Luna is on the smaller side and she has lived with toddlers in her previous home, she is a good choice for families with children. Although any Lab - even a petite girl like this - can knock a tiny toddler over. Luna is still a young girl at only 10 months old so she will do best in a home where someone will have the time for a younger Lab and where she will get plenty of dog park or dog beach and lots of nice walks. Luna came to us when her family could no longer keep her. They got her as a puppy and unfortunately lately Luna found herself outside in the backyard a lot with not much attention or affection from her family. Her family did what is best for Luna by seeking out IndiLab Rescue so that we could help her find a loving new home. Luna is wonderful with all dogs. She is a young, medium energy girl. She is pretty good on the leash too and passes other dogs nicely. At times she can pull a bit, but she is very, very easy to control and correct. Plus she wants nothing more than to please her person! Luna is a very submissive girl who is loves her people, but can be a little shy when she first meets you. She will lay flat on the ground and look up with you with her beautiful eyes. With a few loving pets, Luna comes to life and will snuggle up next to you. Luna would likely do best in a home with another doggie companion of any age or size. We do not know how she will do around cats though, so no kitties for Luna in her new home.
Luna is a healthy girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines, current on flea control and microchipped.

| WuWu adopted!
Meet WuWu (which means Dance in Chinese!). This beautiful, happy, purebred female Golden is perfection in every way. And all she desires is a home to adore her forever.
WuWu is a special girl. She is a petite Golden at only 50 lbs and is such a happy, playful girl. She is 5 years old and of medium energy. She can also have higher energy at times as she is so playful and adorable! She will enjoy hiking with you if you want or the beach but is also a perfect companion to lay at your feet while you read.
She loves to sleep near you on her bed at night and is a good girl sleeping the whole night through.
WuWu is a sensitive girl who wants to please you. She has perfect temperament and could be a therapy dog if you wanted. Mostly she just wants to be with you and go with you everywhere.
WuWu is perfect with all other dogs. She likes them all. She loves to play and will play with a dog so nicely. She is submissive to other dogs and will not agress toward them. If another dog is nasty to her, she will retreat.
WuWu loves her walks and is a good girl on and off leash. She is a great dog park dog as she will play! And we think she will love dog beach!
WuWu was found on the streets in Taipei a year ago and was skin and bones. She was not in great shape but our rescuer took her in and took the best care of her. We had her well vetted and taken care of and she is finally ready to be adopted.
WuWu is great in the house and car. She shares her toys nicely, is non-destructive and is completely housebroken.
WuWu loves to be close to her people and loves to have a best buddy dog. She will do great in a home with another friendly sweet canine companion who likes to play.
She will chase cats so no kitties for WuWu.
WuWu is good with children and we prefer kids over the age of 5 if possible.
WuWu is a healthy girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Nixon adopted!
Meet Nixon, a gorgeous 2 year old purebred Black Labrador. He is a medium sized male Labrador wtih superior temperament. This is one delicious sweetheart and you will absolutely love him.
Nixon first came to us with a torn cruciate ligament, which he had had for about a year with absolutely no effort to help him. His owner let Nixon get fat and did nothing to repair the ligament. A torn cruciate is extremely painful and about the only thing that can make that pain worse, is excess weigh which puts stress on the joints. Well his owner managed that too. He arrived obese and could barely walk.
When we first met Nixon we knew that he needed a very expensive surgery called a TPLO ( Tibial Plateau Levellng Osteotomy), however, we were hesitant to go forward until Nixon had lost a lot of weight since that can really affect the success of the surgery. Nixon lost 20 lbs in foster and had the surgery. And here we are 7 weeks post op, and this boy is healthy and ready for a new fur-ever home!
Nixon's new family will need to help him build his leg strength. His physical activity needs to be ramped up slow and consistently. No jumping, or running just yet. This is paramount to the sucess of final healing in his leg!
Nixon is a LOVER boy. He wants nothing more than to cuddle. He will lay with his head in your lap gaze into your eyes for as long as you let him. He is 100% housebroken. He is calm and completely nondestructive in the house. He loves his crate and often times chose to hangout there. When Nixon came to us he had never been walked. We could tell this because he literally had zero reaction to a leash, or being asked if he wanted to go for a walk. Today it is his favorite thing to do. He does not pull and does not mark. Passing other dogs is no big deal. Walking this dog is a pleasure.
Nixon really wants to be with his person. He will follow you from room to room, and plop himself down wherever you point him to. He listens and almost intuitively follows his foster moms request. He knows sit, stay, laydown, and best of all “go laydown”. His foster family is always impressed by Nixon’s laid-back attitude.
Like most Labs Nixon is opportunistic when it comes to food. We cannot blame him. This poor puppy has been on a low calorie diet for months. His forever home will to ensure he maintains a healthy weight. Nixon dose like to play fetch but that has not been comfortable for him in the past.
Nixon loves all dogs. He will do well with a canine companion or as your one and only. He really loves Kids too. He is very gentle but his paws are heavy.
We would like to see Nixon go to a family who will comply with his healing restrictions which means no running or jumping for the next 3-4 months and a return to the orthopedics for a followup at out expense. This should be easy as Nixon is an EASY and mellow dog!
Nixon is perfect. Mellow, sweet, non-aggressive and just the most gorgeous purebred aroud. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Nemo adopted!Meet Nemo, a sweet and adorable 4 year old purebred AKC registered Labrador. He is snow white and cute as a button and is from champion lines. Nemo is adorable. He is a wiggler and a waggler and he loves his toys and is quite playful. He loves water so much and likes to run in and out of the sprinklers. He is a happy Lab and he loves to have a goo time. He would love to go to the beach!!!! Nemo came to us from a family that was not able to continue to care for him. He mainly lived as an outside dog which is sad since he is such a cuddler who loves to be in the house. Nemo is wonderful with all other dogs. He is a submissive boy and enjoys playing and hanging out with the other dogs. This fella is housebroken and a mellow boy in the house so long as he has had his exercise. He does pull a little on leash but stops pulling after just a bit. He is still learnng as we think he did not go on walks regularly in his past life. Boy does he love to go! He passes other dogs nicely and is a friendly adorable guy. Nemo loves his toys and likes to retrieve. He needs his toys around to play or he might mistake something that is NOT a toy for an acceptable plaything. He likes his nylabones too and his ropes and balls. Nemo will do best in a home with another friendly canine companion. He would love a home where he gets to go swimming and would sure love a pool if we can have one! But we know not everyone has a pool so Nemo would sure like at least a baby pool and sprinkler to play in! And of course trips to the beach are in order! Nemo will do best in a home with older children. He will for sure knock a toddler over. Nemo is a good boy in the car and excellent in his crate sleeping the whole night through. Nemo is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel this white bear cub is right for you and you have been homechecked and approved to adopt, follow up with an email to Indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Max Gold adopted!
Meet Max Gold, a sweet and loving purebred Golden Retriever boy of 5 years who has the most loving disposition.
Max Gold came to us from a man who lost his home and had to give Max up. But this person had not owned Max that long anyway and had taken him from another person who was getting rid of Max in a parking lot. Both "owners" were horrible and neither deserved this perfect sweet kid. Boy are we happy to have Max Gold with us.
Max Gold is perfect. And we mean perfect. He is wonderful and calm with all other dogs. He is tollerant of puppies and playful with other dogs and he can calmly hang out with the oldsters too. When we had 2 puppies in foster with Max, he really put up with their shenanigans without ever even one growl which is unusal for dogs since puppies can be annoying.
Max loves the other dogs he is fostered with and is good with them all. He is even good with cats and is perfect for toddlers and children as well. He is so gentle and good.
At some point when he was young, his jaw was broken. He was either hit by a car or sustained some other major trauma that cause the jaw to break. What is so horribly sad is that no one fixed it. No one took care of him and did any needed surgery for this guy. He must have suffered horrible pain and it's lucky he is ok today. As we have said, none of the people who had Max deserved him.
The good news is that according to our vet, there is nothing to do for him at this point and Max is no longer in any pain what-so-ever. That makes us happy!!!! The only residual damage is that Max has a few crooked teeth and his toungue hangs out. He does not drool and he is not messy at all.
Max is a beautiful dog. He's a show stopper meaning poeple will stop you on the street to ask to pet him becuase he is so adorable and so beautiful. And he will be happy to let anyone pet him as he is truly the friendliest Golden on the planet.
Max would make an outstanding therapy dog becuase he is so gentle and calm and well behaved plust those in hosptials and schoools and nursing homes will really identify with Max being a little different due to his former broken jaw. He really is quite a special boy.
Max is a healthy guy. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and micrcohipped.
This special, loving boy who has had just the worst past, deserves only the most loving fur-ever home. He will pay back your love a million times over with his sweetness.

| Hilo adopted!
Meet HIlo, an adorable, submissive, happy young boy! This 1 year old yellow Labrador is so sweet and so darling.
We first met Hilo when we went t evaluate another Lab he was kenneled with in the shelter. We saw Hilo and were so happy to meet him. Such a doll and so afraid in that shelter! He had arrived there as a stray and no one had come for him.
HIlo is a typical Lab puppy. He wants to please his person, wants to learn, and mostly wants to play and have fun. He is pure joy to be with and is just wonderful with all dogs and all people.
HIlo loves his toys and balls and fetching. He also loves playing with other dogs. He really enjoys the 2 Labbies he is fostered with and loves playing with them.
Hilo is a medium energy typical Labrador puppy. He will do great with just a little training - maybe a puppy obedience class? He would love trips to dog park to meet other dogs and now that it's summer, dog beach would be nice too!
He's great in the car so he's a good guy to do road trips and camping trips with as well! Summer is here and Hilo wants to join you in your outings!
Hilo will do great with cats too. He is curious about the cats he is fostered with and may give chase now and then. After all, he is a puppy still! But we can tell he will not hurt a cat and a dog savvy cat will have zero trouble whipping this pup into shape.
Hilo is a youngster so it will be nice to have him go with either another friendly canine companion or with somoene who is around a lot in the very beginning until he settles in.
He would be afforded plenty of toys to enjoy and would love to have a ball toss now and then.
Hilo is a healthy boy. He's neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchiped.

| Kalani adopted!
Meet Kalani - a 4 year old purebred AKC black female Lab who comes with her AKC papers. Kalani is a gorgeous girl with a shiny black coat and is also a nice size at about 60 pounds. Kalani came to us when her family sadly had to move and could not take Kalani with them. They got her when she was just a puppy and took amazing care of her for the first 4 years of her life. They were very sad to let her go, but are happy to know she will find a wonderful family now that she is with IndiLab. Kalani is completely housebroken, crate trained and obedience trained! In fact, when she was just a puppy, she took 1st place in her puppy obedience class of 30 dogs! Kalani knows verbal commands as well as hand signals. She knows sit, stay, come, down, heel, leave it, shake, paw and speak. She also knows "out" - she needs to leave the area or the room, and if you say "back" she will move backwards about a foot and she knows the words "inside" and "outside". And oh yes, she knows the words "cheese", "hungry", "eat" and "yogurt". Haha - this girl is one smart labbie! Kalani is a medium energy girl. She loves to go on walks, and is accustomed to walking about 2 miles a day. And she also loves to play ball and Frisbee, and would love a family that would play ball with her each and every day! She hasn't had much exposure to water, and tends to be a little shy around the pool, so she may not be the typical water loving lab. Then again, give her a chance, she may surprise you!
Kalani is great with all other dogs she meets and is often the submissive girl - the first to roll over on her back when meeting another dog. Kalani has not had much interaction with cats, the only cats she has seen are the stray cats in the neighborhood and she loooooves to chase them. So its probably best that she is not placed in a home with any cats.
Kalani is good with children, but would do best with children over the age of 5 only because she gets so excited and tends to jump and wiggles around alot, she may knock them over. Kalani would do best in a home with or without another dog. She would also thrive in a home where her family is home more often than not or perhaps where she could come to work with you. She is and always has been an indoor dog and if left alone, we don't want this sweetheart to be alone in a backyard, she deserves to be snuggled up inside with access to the yard perhaps. Kalani is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. She does have some allergies to soy based dog foods, and her family found that Wellness Core Dry Food is what she does best on, so we ask that her new family keep her on that food or be committed to a good high quality grain free food. Dogs - and Labs in particular - do not do well on grain since it is an unnatural part of their diet.

| Princess 2 adopted!
Meet Princess, a happy, wiggly, and sweet purebred AKC yellow female Labrador of just about 3 years.
Princess is a darling pale yellow purebred with a sweet face and equally sweet disposition. She loves everyone and has a nice playful energy about her as she picks up and plays with her toys and brings them to you.
Princess is great with other dogs and likes to go to dog park. She will go for the ball a bit and loves to just romp around and make friends. And she rides beautifully in the car on outings.
Princess is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house. She is a nice size at about 65 pounds and has a ver pretty, good Labrador conformation.
Princess came to us when her owner could no longer care for her. The family became busy with activities and one of the owners became ill. There was no time for Princess and so she ended up in the backyard getting very little attention.
Princess will do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. She would like a lot of attention and love.
Princess does well around cats, so she would even be a great choice for a family with kitties.
Princess will need her daily exercise like a good walk or dog park and then will do great settling into the house. She has nice manners. But she is still young so she must have her daily exercise like all Labradors.
We think she will do great at dogpark and might love dog beach too. She is so wonderful with all other dogs that you can really take her anywhere!
Princess is a good girl in the house or car and settles nicely. Her new family will want to supply lots and lots of toys and chewy toys like nylabones, rawhides, and bully sticks to keep her amused. All Labbies enjoy their chewies and as mouthy dogs, they often love to carry toys around too!
This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her. Put her in a pretty collar and walk her down Main Street and be prepared to be stopped by everyone that sees her. Her cutness, and friendliness make everyone want to pet her and say hello!
Princess is a healthy girl who is microchipped, up to date on shots, and spayed. All she needs now, is the perfect forever home.

| Dory adopted!Meet Dory, an absolutely darling and petite AKC purebred Labrador. This 4-year old girl is a beautiful Fox Red Lab with a very nice conformation. If you look at her photos you will see that she stands like a showdog with her tail out and head held high. She is quite the show stopper! This beauty queen is a special girl. She is only about 55 stocky pounds and is a very submissive sweetheart. She came to us when her owners could not keep her any longer and we suspect she lived most of her life outdoors. Dory is an extremely velcro dog. She really wants to be right with her person all the time. She bonds very quicky and strong and she follows her people everywhere. Dory is perfect with all other dogs and she does love to play as well. We think she will do best with another friendly and playful canine companion and maybe where someone is around much of the time becuase she is so velcro. Dory can also be a tad handshy. We are not sure why. It could be that she was hit for discipline or it could be that something happend to scare her. At any rate she can be a tad hand shy and becuase of this we do not recommend her for a home with young children who might scare her. This prescious girl is housebroken and knows her commands. She loves her walks and she is a good girl on the leash. She tends to pull a little in the beginning but settles in nicely! And she is small so she is quite easy to handle. Dory loves her toys and likes her nylabones very much. She sticks to her toys so be sure she has plenty of them! She is a good girl in the house and car and settles nicely after exercise. She is housebroken and sleeps the night through in her crate. Dory is a healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines and spayed. If you feel this petite doll is right for you and if you have been approved to adopt, please follow up with an emial to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Walter Gold adopted!
Meet Walter, a super sweet medium/smaller sized purebred male Golden Retriever with a huge smile and tons of love to give.
Walter is about 5 years old and an extremely happy dog who gets along with all other dogs and people. He even shares all the toys at his foster home with his big sister Staci! Staci is a black lab, usually too timid to play games like tug of war, but Walter is quite the diplomat and loves getting her involved in the fun.
Walter is wonderful with cats too. He is gentle and will play if they want and leave them alone if they want! Many of you may know of Walter's story as this boy has been through a lot in his life so far. Walter came to us from our rescue partners in Taiwan where he was found as a stray on the streets. When he arrived a few months ago, we soon found out that he had retained testicles which had become infected. This caused a multitude of problems which took some time to address but finally this guy is on the men with hair growing back beautifully!! Walter is now healthy and ready to find his forever home!
Walter is the happiest, sweetest dog! He always has a smile on his face and a happy tail wag as well. Everyone who meets him, comments on how happy he is! Walter is a medium energy dog who loves going on walks and has a great time at the dog park where he loves to mingle with the other dogs and play fetch. He quickly wins the affection of people too. He looks so adorable as he prances back with a tennis ball in his mouth, proud to present it for another throw. Walter is very well mannered in the house, happy being curled up next to you on the couch or by your feet. He is a truly affectionate dog and is very responsive when given attention. He is eager to please and has a friendly disposition.
Walter is good on leash and can also follow a few commands. He is a very smart dog and he is also well behaved. He is completely house broken and he doesn't chew on anything he shouldn't! Like most labs and Goldens, he can be found begging for food from his humans, but otherwise Walter is truly is perfection in almost every way!
Walter is gentle and smaller then the average Golden and would be a great addition to a family with another dog as well as small children. He would also make a great companion in general, having a great bond with his foster family. He loves to play fetch and needs a good amount of exercise daily. Walter is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped!

| Lion Lin adopted!
Ahhh! This is Lion, a really handsome purebred male Golden of 4 years. This boy is a really well bred purebred with excellent conformation and perfect temperament. He's the cream of the crop.
Lion is a beautiful color known as "Engish Cream" and it's so pretty. He is a flowy, gorgeous, boy!
Lion is about 80 lbs with a gorgeous head and sweet expression. He could lose a few pounds so a nice healthy food and good quality treats would be ideal for this boy.
Lion has a gorgeous soft golden coat and is a lighter golden color. This boy is darling.
Lion came to us from our rescue partner in Taiwan. This boy was found as a stray, rescued, neutered, vaccinated, and vetted for a clean bill of health and then fostered in a home in Taiwan for months before getting the opportunity to come here. He was found with a hurt back left paw that has healed, but he always have a slight limp. This never stops him. We think this makes him even more special. We are thrilled to help this sweet, loving boy find a new forever home in California!
Lion is a calm and loving boy. He has just the best easy going personality and takes just about everything in stride. He loves to be with his person and enjoys other dogs too. He is fostered as an only dog and does great, but he also enjoys his trips to dog park and play dates with other doggie friends. And with his temperament you can take Lion just about anywhere - perhaps to work with you.
Lion loves to play fetch, and can often be found with a ball in his mouth, lounging next to his ball or even sleeping with his toy right next to him! Lion's favorite thing is his ball. He is a true retriever! Lion is completely housebroken and well trained. He knows sit and will even shake. He is also very well mannered in the house and will sleep soundly on his dog bed all night long.
Lion is a great dog as an only dog as he is fostered with no other dogs, so we know he does fine when left alone. He would also do fine in a home with another friendly canine companion. Lion can be a little food possessive around other dogs (not with humans at all), so if you have another dog, best to feed Lion separately. Otherwise he is great around other dogs. Lion is great with kids and very gentle but because he likes to jump he could knock little ones over, so families with children over 5 only please.
This boy is really a best friend. He wants to be part of a family and close to his people. He is a very calm boy in the house and just adores to be pet and pet people in return which is so cute. He is a huggable boy and has the sweetest face ever!!
Lion is healthy, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered.

| Babbette adopted!
Meet Babbette, a beautiful, petite, jet black angel. This little 1 year old sweet heart is only about 50 lbs and is a gorgeous purebred dolly.
We are till trying to wrap our head around her being left at a high kill Riverside area shelter where our volunteer saw her and fell immediately in Labby love.
Babbette is shy at first with other dogs - especially if they come on too strong and obnoxious. She is a very submissive girl. However once she meets them she loves them to peices! She really does love other dogs and is fostered with a couple of Golden Retrievers and a female Lab. She also has met a few other Indi Lab Labbies who she has really enjoyed.
She loves swimming and enjoys swiming in her foser mom's swimming pool - especially with her foster retrieving siblings.
Babbette is not shy with humans at all really and loves people. She especially loves older childen and has loved the two Indi Lab teenage kids she knows.
This sweet girl will do great with antoher friendly canine sibling. And really should go to a home that will gently continue to socialize her with other very nice dogs so as to allow her only the most positive experiences. As she gets a little more confident, dog park would be great! And even dog beach would be a lot of fun for this water loving doll.
Babbette is young girl though very mellow and easy going. She would love a few nice chew toys and other toy and a few nice walks each day. She is super easy to walk since she is small and wants to please.
She is completely housebroken and well behaved in the house. She is still a little shy at times and so sweet.

| Carter adopted!Meet Carter,- a hunky, 5 - 6 year old yellow English purebred Labrador male who is just exquisite. What a gorgeous blockheaded baby he is. He is pure sweetness and is a show quality bench bred Lab. Just look at this gorgeous smiling fella! Oh boy it doesn't come better! Carter came to us from a high kill sheler where a volunteer was visiting another dog. When she saw this beauty, she was beside herself becuase honestly dogs this well bred rarely end up in shelters. But there he was! And he was depressed and had some flea dermatitis and it looked like no one was coming for him. Lucky for Carter, he came with us and had never looked back. Carter has obviously been a neglected, outside only dog who is lucky to now be an Indi Lab. He is learning about all the things Labradors should know - like living in the house and snuggling and being super popular! He is well loved now that's for sure! He now loves to get belly rubs, likes to lie around with his foster siblings, enjoys walks around the neighborhood and is learning that he can come and go through the doggie door as he pleases. He is totally housebroken! Carter is missing some hair where he had his flea dermatitis. But it's growing back in beautifully and will be long forgotten very, very soon. With some good food and care he will be absolutely gorgeous in no time. Actually, his foster family already thinks he is gorgeous. His big blocky head and sweet personality make him very kissable! Carter is an easy going guy. He is great with the 9 year old boy and 13 year old girl humans that he lives with. He probably would be a great pal for any children aged 7 and up. He tends to pull a little on the leash at the beginning of his walks but that only lasts for the first few streets. On his last walk a small dog was trying hard to cause problems and Carter walked on by without paying any attention to him. He's way too mellow to deal with the drama! Carter seems to enjoy having 3 other labs around. He seems to have a crush on the girl lab he is fostered with. He likes to follow her around and lie next to her. He would probably like to have a doggie companion to hang out with when his family is gone.Carter is neutered and up to date on his shots. He is so happy to now have people around who love him. He is ready for his new family and his forever home! If you have been approved to adopt and you feel this gorgeous stud with the goofy mellow temperament is right for you, please email donna@indilabrescue.org to meet him!

| Zahra adopted!
Meet darling Zahra, an 10 month to one year old female yellow Labrador who is probably the sweetest, happiest puppy on the planet.
She is a beautiful light yellow or cream color and is still small at about 50 lbs. She is not 100% grown yet and will be about 65 pounds when she is full grown - still a nice smaller size for a lab.
Zahra is a little timid at times, but is playful and loves dog park and socializing with other young, playful dogs. She loves to play and walk and go out and about, but she also settles nicely after her exercise.
Zahra is a young girl - still a puppy though she is a good girl in the home. She really does still need training and learning more about the world. She loves toys but is still learning what is and is not a toy in her home. She really likes learning and wants to please and will take to training and instruction very well.
This girl is a prize - she is fabulous with all other dogs and really loves her trips to dog park! True to her labbie temperament, she loves to be with her person.
She will do fine with children however she is still a little shy and crazy kids might startle her so we prefer children with outstanding animal manners for this girl. She deserves to go to a home that will let her come out of her shell and settle in without too much nuttiness.
Zahra is very special. She will come to you and let you just stroke her gently while she sits calmly taking in all in. A minute later she will romp with a buddy playfully and then come back to you. She has a wonderful spirit and a lovely loyal and fun nature.
Zahra is completely housebroken. She does pretty well on leash - pulling a little at times, but mostly walking pretty well. A nice puppy obedience class would really be great for her to become perfectly polished.
Zahra is a great choice for a family looking for a playful and sweet dog and will be great with another young playful dog or as your one an only if you plan to be with her or take her for lots of outings and exercise. She would love lots of trips to dog park, hikes, and dog beach where she can get in lots of playtime with other dogs and good daily exercise too! She is a happy, playful girl!
Zahra is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

| Mocha Rose adopted!
Meet Mocha Rose, the sweetest, gentlest girl. Mocha Rose is a cute 2 year old purebred chocolate female Labrador. She is about 75 pounds and a stunning girl with the classic Lab temperament.
Mocha Rose came to us from one of the worst shelters in South Central LA where she and her sister were taken by their owners who could no longer keep them. Lucky enough, we were there when they arrived and we were able to take Mocha straight home with us so she never had to spend a night in the shelter!
Mocha Rose is a submissive and calm girl and is currently on the shy side as she is getting used to the outside world after living her life in a backyard we believe. Mocha Rose is great around other dogs both big and small. She is fostered with another lab and the two get along very well. She has also spent time with some other labbie friends and even has enjoyed a few trips to the dog park. She enjoys her time with other dogs and in fact the other dogs help her to come out of her shell.
Mocha Rose loves her walks and walks perfectly on leash. She never pulls and passes other dogs beautifully. Mocha Rose is a medium energy girl who will do well with a couple walks a day and perhaps some play and social time at dog park too. Spending time with other dogs is also great for her, so trips to dog park or dog beach would also be great for this sweet girl. She does get excited in the car, but overall is a good car rider and enjoys sticking her head out the window. Mocha Rose will do best with a family who will give her time to come out of her shyness but will not baby her. Her forever family will need to understand that it may take Mocha a couple months to become less timid. A family that will take her to new places and help introduce her to a world that she has never experienced and can show her how much fun it can be will be great for her! And of course a family that will give her lots of ear rubs, as she loves to lay her head in your lap for a labbie ear rub - thanks foster mom! Mocha Rose is completely housebroken and non-destructive when left alone. We would like to place her in a home with another friendly dog who is well adjusted to the world so she can learn from him/her how many exciting things the world has to offer!
She is still timid and a bit scared around sudden movements and lots of commotion so a quieter household would be best for her instead of one with lots of children coming and going and lots of commotion. She would also do best with children over age 10. We do not know how Mocha will do with cats, so we will not consider homes with cats for Mocha at this time.
Mocha is a healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines and spayed.

| Sugar Ray adopted!
Meet Sugar Ray, the sweetest chocolate boy ever. This purebred doll baby is such a perfect guy, we can still not believe we found him in a shelter!
Sugar Ray is about 5-6 years old and a great smaller labby size. He's about 60 lbs which is smaller than the average male Labrador. he has a wonderful, loving personality and is a very happy dog.
Sugar Ray came to us from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter where he might not have had a chance to be adopted. For starters, the photo used of him to attract adopters was so out of focus you couldn't tell what it was of. It could have been a photo of anything. When we saw his shelter photo our hearts just broke. We knew we had to give this boy a chance.
The day Sugar Ray came out of the shelter he was already wagging and wiggling and smiling. This boy has a lot of spunk and energy and is always ready to have a good time.
Sugar Ray is a medium energy Lab who loves his walks, jogging wth you and adores retrieving the ball. He really loves his balls and will retrieve for a while for you. It's easy to wear him out just throwing the ball, but he is such a good boy to walk you will want to do that a lot too.
Sugar Ray is good with other dogs and loves people. He likes to please you and would do beautifully as an only dog provided he will get plenty of attention.
He is a good boy sleeping in his crate at night and is potty trained. He's well behaved in the house and he knows his commands including "sit", "stay", "down", "shake" and more.
Sugar Ray is still just a little underweight by maybe 3 lbs or so. His coat is sunburnt and not as dark as it will be now that he is an insided loved dog. As his coat gets softer and darker, he will look like a show Lab!
His coat shows us that he was living as an outside only dog. And we know he does not like this at all as he will wait at the door for you to let him inside if you are inside. Labradors are companion dogs who do not like nor should they ever have to be left outside in a yard for long periods. And we promised this boy that will never happen to him again.
He's a healthy boy and he sure loves his activities. He will do find with older kids and would love kids to throw the ball for him! We don't know about swimming but we think he might like that too. He definitley liked getting his bath with the hose and was a good boy for it!
Sugar Ray is a good boy in the car as well. However he tends to try to ride shotgun and is learning that the front seat is not for dogs! He seems to be getting the idea!
This boy is just wonderful. Good in the house, never gets on the furniture, housebroken, wants to please, good on the leash and a sweetheart. He is healthy, up to date on vaccines, and micrcohipped.

| Latte Rose adopted!Meet Latte, a sweet and shy purebred fox red female Labrador of just about 2 years old. She has a gorgeous block head and beautiful Labby conformation. And she has the temperament we look for in our babies. She is a prize. This darling girl with a sweet face and heart of gold has that beautiful fox red coloring with is not that common and highly desirable. She is truly a show stopper in looks. It is impossible to have her out and about without getting compliments at every turn. She really is quite stunning to look at! Latte Rose is an AKC breeder bred dog and is the sister of Mocha Rose. Both girls came to us when their owners attempted to drop them off at the South La Animal Shelter due to a financial problem and loss of their home. This is where we intercepted the girls and we are sure happy with did! Latte Rose can be a little shy at first but comes out of her shell quickly. She is still a young girl and both dogs have been through a lot in recent times. We assume the dog mainily lived in the yard without tons of exposure to the outside world. Latte Rose is adjusting beautifully and is loving life in foster. She is such a special and deserving prize. Latte Rose is looking for a patient and loving family who can help her come out of her shell and show her all the wonderful things labs can enjoy in this world! She will love dog park and dog beach and once fully recovered from her spay she will love a swim in the ocean maybe too! Latte Rose is a medium energy girl who enjoys her walks and playtime, but also settles down very nicely in the house. She is a good girl on the leash and doesn't pull. she loves her walks! Latte Rose is good with all other dogs and cats making her a great choice for families with kitties. Latte will do great in a home with another friendly canine companion or as your one and only. She would like a lot of attention and love. Latte Rose will need her daily exercise like a good walk or dog park and then will do great settling into the house. She is completely housebroken and has nice manners. But she is still young so she must have her daily exercise. Her new family will want to supply lots and lots of toys and chewy toys like nylabones, rawhides, and bully sticks to keep her amused as she is still a young girl at age 2. This pretty girl is a lovely sweet companion and will bring much joy to that family fortunate enough to adopt her. Latte Rose is a healthy girl who is up to date on shots, and spayed. She is the perfect breed standard for a Labrador at about 68 lbs. If you would like to add this lovely girl to your home, be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to indilabgirl@gmail.com

| Wyatt Jones adopted!Meet Wyatt Jones. A perfect AKC and UKC champion specimen and sweet boy. Wyatt Jones is retired from the show ring and breeding and at 8 years old he is ready for a wonderful forever home. Wyatt is a very, very special dog. He is an imported Labrador with a pedigree consisting of some of the finest Labradors known from foundation kennels. It is our honor to help in finding this outstanding boy a fur-ever home. Wyatt is a yellow male who is nice a blocky and stocky. He has perfect champion conformation and temperament and we have honestly never seen a more beautiful Labrador. He is a big boy at almost 100 lbs and is not overweight. He is gentle as a lamb and sweet as sugar. He is a mellow dog and cat loving doll baby and the sweetest boy you will ever meet. Hip and eye certified, this healthy boy is in great shape. However at age 8 and a purebred Labrador, Wyatt can have his days where he is stiff. As such we need to keep him at a good healthy weight and lots of good walks to keep him limber! His new home should provide good glucosamine as well. And as with all senior labs, it would be nice to have him do some pool swimming and maybe get regular adequan injections as well. Wyatt is perfect with all other dogs and all humans. He will excel in almost any situation whether as a therapy dog, show dog or constant companion. He is not super playful since he is no longer a puppy, but he loves the company of other dogs and he loves his toys. Wyatt will carry a ball or teddy in his mouth all day for you. He is adorable. This is a mellow, low key, show dog. He is easy and loving. He loves his walks on leash and odes not pull. You can walk Wyatt on one finger. Wyatt had spent his life around many other dogs and intact males so he is bombproof with all other dogs and passes dogs beatuifully. Wyatt is wonderful in the house ad loves his bed and blankets. He is crate trained and loves his crate and will go in on his own. His owner/handler wanted us to find this guy the best ever home after his years of making beauitful puppies and winning titles. Only the very best homes will be consiered. Wyatt will do find with the littlest children but he may knock them down. And frankly at this point he deserves a home where he can be the center of attention. This boy is neutered and up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you feel you can fullfill all of Wyatts dreams, and you are approved to adopt, please follow up with an email to IndiLabGirl@gmail.com

| Betty Lin adopted!
Betty Lin is a beautiful small purebred Golden Retriever female of 3 years. She is a mahogany Golden and is a beautiful dark red color. At just 50 lbs, this girl is the perfect cuddle size.
This little girl has a BEAUTIFUL dark coat and the sweetest smiley face. Everyone stops her to pet her and she wiggles with delight.
Betty Lin came to us from our rescue partner in Taiwan. Her story is a very, very sad one. Betty was an "owned" dog. Her owners never spayed her and allowed her to roam the street. Our rescue partner knew her through 3 litters of puppies. The last time they saw Betty was pregnant the family that owned her decided to stop feeding her and lock her out of the house. Poor Betty camped out in a grass field across the street from their home and that is where she had her babies.
When the babies were about 4 weeks the family started roaming the streets for food. It is about this time our volunteer told the "owners" we were taking the dogs. By then the puppies all had Parvo - a deadly disease.
Thank goodness, we were able to save two of the puppies and both are with our rescue and available for adoption.
Betty was so happy to come to us. She is a healthy, BEAUTIFUL medium energy girl. She loves, loves, loves other dogs and all people. She is even good with cats! Betty also love kids - especially ones who pet her and throw the ball.
Betty loves to go to dog park, carry her ball and cuddle. And she is wonderful on the leash. She doesn't pull and she passes other dogs nicely.
This young mellow happy girl is a perfect little size and is just gorgeous.
Betty is non destructive in the house and likes her toys. She is completely housebroken.

| Flame adopted!
Meet Flame, a very special purebred Golden Retriever puppy. At only 5 months of age, his little guy is gorgeous and has it all.
Flame came to us when his owner's living circumstances changed and they were no longer able to care for him. They wanted Flame to know only love, so they asked us to help re-home him.
Flame is a special dog because he is what is known as a "started" dog. This means he has already been professionally trained to know basics like "sit", "stay", "kennel-up", "wait", "release", "potty" and many others. He is completely kennel trained and housetraned and has been trained to walk on leash.
This level or professional work in a purebred puppy is a very expensive thing to do. Many families are starting to look at "started" dogs or have their puppies started for them and it is expensive.
To this end we are asking a $550 tax-deductibel adoption fee for Flame. This over $1,000 lower than his original AKC breeder purchase price and includes the training he has had. Please remember though he has had training, it is up to his new owner to continue to work on the commands he knows and he should continue using a kennel.
Flame is a happy wiggly spunky puppy. He is so sweet, he would make a great therapy dog as he loves everyone and is not mouthy at all. He loves to play with other dogs and toys, too and is doing great with the three dogs he's fostered with currently. He even loves cats. In his former home he would share his toys with the dog savvy cat, even letting the cat groom him!
This bug is still a baby. As such, he will need a puppy proofed home with lots of patience and love to give. He would probably love another dog to be his role model but puppies should rarely go with senior or toy possessive dogs who get horribly annoyed with them. He would also do great as your one and only true love provided someone is home most of the time at least for the next 3 months.
Owning a puppy is a huge responsibility. Lots of chewing, and playing and puppies need to go out to potty often. Flame is well on his way to his canine good citizenship certification as he has received basic obedience and crate training, but it will be important to continue his excellent manners with plenty of socialization and puppy obedience classes. In a few months he can test as a therapy dog if you were interested--Goldens are very popular therapy dogs due to their generally good nature.
It is important to provide this puppy one last booster shot of puppy vaccine in another few weeks. He also needs to be neutered in 3 months and will require a refundable neuter deposit.
Flame is current on his rabies vaccination and all his vet records are available. He is a healthy little man with a heart of gold.
Flame is healthy and ready for love! Will he be yours?

| Carrie adopted! Lovingly sponsored by Louie, Bob and Robin Nenninger
Meet Carrie, a beautiful petite yellow purebred Labrador female of 5 years. She has a heart of gold and is the sweetest girl.
Carrie is a super cute, 50 pound darling pup who would love to have a family of her own.
Carrie came to us from a high kill Los Angeles County shelter and we have no idea why or how such a precious girl ended up in one of the worst shelters of them all. When our volunteer saw this little bunny behind the bars, it didn't take long to realize we would be taking her home.
Carrie is doing wonderfully in her foster home. She is so easy going and easy to have around and has been pure pleasure!
Carrie is kind and easy going. She gets along great with her two foster Labby brothers and her foster Labby sister. She has so easily adjusted everyone and everything in the house.
Carris is completely housebroken and she uses the doggie door to come and go and has had no accidents. She is non-destructive in the house and is easy going!
During meal time Carrie she does like to have a space of her own. You can’t really blame her. She likes to take her time eating and it must be annoying for her to have 3 other big labs staring at her food.
Carrie doesn’t just like to lie around though. She absolutely loves to go on her walks. She is wonderful to walk on the leash and walks right with you so nicely. She greets other dogs and people nicely
Carrie is curious about cats but does not run after them. She may be a good choice for families with very dog savvy cats.
If you are looking for a true family-dog who is such a sweetheart, you need not look any further. Carrie is just about as perfect as they come!
Carrie is spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations and is micochipped. All that's left now is a perfect home!

| Tanner 3 adopted!
Meet Tanner 3, a gorgeous purebred stocky, blocky English Labrador. He' s a very handsome fella with his thick otter tail, broad skull and short stop. He's a looker and he's looking for love.
Hard to believe this stunning boy came to us from a very high kill shelter. How on earth did that happen? Anyhow, we sure are glad to have him and he's proven to be an absolute snuggle bear. We love Tanner!
Tanner is just a love who really gets with the program. He fit right into his foster home and gets along with everyone. He's just no trouble and blends right in as if he's been there all along.
Tanner is approximately 5 years old and is 5 full years of love! He ignores his foster's cats so is a great candidate for families with kitties! And he also gets along beautifully with his Labby foster sisters and fellow foster Labby boy. He's a nice dog who other dogs like and he is an easy going fella.
Tanner pulls a little on leash but walks wonderfully with a pinch collar. He passes other dogs nicely and is a nice walking partner.
Tanner is completely crate trained and appears housebroken as well.
Tanner loves the older children in his foster home. He is just a happy go lucky guy content to hang out in the house with his people.

| Rosie Girl adopted!
Awe what a sweetie! Meet Rosie Girl, an adorable yellow female Labrador who is so darling and sweet and just pure joy to have around.
This gorgeous girl is a light yellow or cream color! Just beautiful. She's a nice size at about 75 pounds and is a mellow sweetheart who is very affectionate and is just adored by her foster mom.
Rosie is about 4 years old. She is calm as they come and a lovely houseguest. She likes to be near her person. She is fostered as an only dog and is doing very well. She has enjoyed a couple trips to dog park with her foster mom. She was a little timid there - no sure what to make of all the other dogs. Poor Rosie likely never spent much time around other dogs before coming to IndiLab. She gets on beautifully with other dogs, but doesn't really know how to play with them. Rosie is completely housebroken. She walks fabulously on leash - rarely pulling and is a really nice car rider too! She knows all her commands of sit, down, stay & shake - what a smart girl! She loves to give you her paw for shake and just wants you to keep holding her paw - it's so cute!
Rosie would do well in a home as your one and only or with another friendly, easy going dog. Since she is still a bit timid around other dogs, we don't want to place her in a home with a dominant dog that might scare her. She deserves a happy, friendly doggie companion or just her people to love & adore her.
Rosie is not mouthy or jumpy, so she would likely do well in a home with kids. She doesn't really know how to play fetch, but would love to snuggle with kids or simply follow them around wherever they go. We don't know how she would do around cats, so no kitties for Rosie in her new home.
This pretty angel deserves a loving new home where her family will spoil her. She won't do well all alone if you work long hours away from home every day, as she just loves to be near her person. She is mellow enough to join you at work every day if you are lucky enough to be able to bring her to work with you. Or she would do fine left alone for a few hours each day.
Rosie Girl is spayed, up to date on flea control, vaccines and is microchipped.
